OFFICIAL DISCUSSION THREAD

With the start of our tournament on the horizon, we will have a main thread for the proceedings of the tournament (much like last year) and the user/participant discussion of the tournament should only take place in this thread. We appreciate your cooperation.

I am honored to be the primary spokesperson/host of the tournament, and am very excited to see what wonderful pieces our competitors will put out. In saying this, I can tell you now that this year's tournament will be fun, challenging, and much different from the previous tournaments held... but you will find out more about that as the time comes.

Like I said before, the primary thread for the tournament should be up within the next two days or so... but for now, all OOC discussion of the tournament should go here. DISCUSS!

Honestly a projection isn't even necessary if you're not sure. Just updates, maybe saying how many's left like "We have five more submissions to judge" or something like that. That's it. If there's no expectations then it's better. Unless you're one hundred percent sure that you'll be able to meet that date or if its off then its only off by a day POSSIBLY two. If you're not sure though, then you're better off not giving ETAs.

YES! YES! YES! Happy I was able to scrape through that one. Hopefully I'll be able to do stuff I'm actually good at in the coming rounds. :D

Now time to read all the other entries.

That sad moment when I realize I couldve been ranked much higher. dont know if I made a mistake while coding or what not but I believe it conpletely killed my format. It was a very simple one at that though but one that fit perfectly with how I wrote it. Overall just disapointed in myself not double checking. Still im very satisfied with the scoreand glad to have made it through. Ill have to read the requirements more thouroughly next time too, I didnt even notice it had to be a main eventer -_- Thanks Brye & KingRo.

Bloody hell! 3rd place? Haha, wow, I wasn't expecting that.

Well done to everybody, although I haven't read everyone's pieces, I'm sure they're all up to a great standard and will provide me with some decent reading after I've finished college later today. Thankyou to KingRo and Brye, also, doing an awesome job guys! Once again, well done everyone, good job! Onwards and upwards to the next round then, eh?

I didn't forget about you, TBG. I actually don't know what happened there. I'll give it a look. No offense or anything... I actually did get your full results and coulda swore I added them into the post. My mistake. Gimme a few to check it out.

Fifth place...yes, yes...everything is going according to plan...

But seriously, 'twas a fun and very different qualifying round. I actually went with someone I don't like writing and it wasn't as terrible as I thought. Congrats to everybody who entered and really stepped up their game to get this thing going. And although I appreciate what you (Ro and Brye) have done, I would like the H2H round to run a bit more smoothly than that round did. Not to be a prick about it, though

And as for you, Melvis...well done. I expected nothing less. But don't go all out just yet. I want you to have something left in the tank when you hand me your crown personally. KingKirby has a nice ring to it.

BTW, KingRo, the name is 619IDH, not 619INDH. Again, not to be a prick about it

Again, congrats to all of you. Onward ho to my actual first tournament!! :cheer

Ah, I see. You deliberately got whipped by me so I'd get over-confident. The man's a genius. 8*D

Away from Heel Melvis, I'm not fussed judging-wise. I'd like to know what the judges would have liked me to improve on, but at this point I'm more interested in moving forward with the head-to-heads. After reading the other entries, big respect to crooked_reflection; there was a lot of power in his entrance and you could really feel the atmosphere. That said, there were some seriously well-thought-out entrances and I'm buzzing for the next round. Lay it on us KingBro.
