Re: Official 2012 KoBTB Discussion Thread
Just a quick note to the judges -
For a lot of the higher scoring entries, you didn't really critique them whatsoever. Yes they may have been good and yes it may be hard, but unless they're 80/80 then there has to be something wrong with them or something missing. Unless you're simply chucking random numbers at the scoreboard, there's a reason why you award entries a certain score, so unless they're perfect there has to be something wrong with them, right? So if possible, maybe try and critique the entries and say what they could improve on rather than just saying what you liked. If there was nothing you disliked and you liked every part of it, then surely a perfect score would be given?
I'm not trying to slag you off or criticize your judging by any means, all I'm saying is that some people may want some critique and constructive criticism and feedback rather than just being told what was good. It might just be me, though.

First and foremost these are just the qualifying rounds. Second of all, I made everyone wait long enough for the results by doing it the way we did... if we did it any more intricately, we probably STILL would have been waiting. On the same token, it's always implied that something can be done better. That's why the specific sections of judging have their own numbers.

The problem wasn't that we didn't know if we could do better, the problem is, we didn't know what we could do better. Numbers really don't say much when it comes to what needs to be improved. I know it took you guys some time and adding detail might've made you take even more time but I still do agree with the statement that, it's best if we know what's missing, why we didn't get that ten and such.
On a side note, back when I was here I think all the judging was split between the judges so if there were say 16 things to judge, each would judge 8 which saves the load you guys had. I believe judging 8 in more detail is easier than 16 broadly.
Of course, the post was still very much appreciated and I understand you guys are putting a whole lot of effort into this.

Re: Official 2012 KoBTB Discussion Thread
Yeah I understand completely, KingRo, and I'm not bitching or moaning whatsoever, it's just a suggestion. Whether you take it on board or not is completely up to you because at the end of the day, the aim of the tournament is to showcase the very best this section has to offer, not as a means to help improve said bookers.
Honestly, I think you're doing a great job and I really do appreciate the time and effort you're putting in and I'll be more than happy for tournament to continue as it is, it's just a suggestion.

Ah, I see. You deliberately got whipped by me so I'd get over-confident. The man's a genius.
Away from Heel Melvis, I'm not fussed judging-wise. I'd like to know what the judges would have liked me to improve on, but at this point I'm more interested in moving forward with the head-to-heads. After reading the other entries, big respect to crooked_reflection; there was a lot of power in his entrance and you could really feel the atmosphere. That said, there were some seriously well-thought-out entrances and I'm buzzing for the next round. Lay it on us KingBro.

Re: Official 2012 KoBTB Discussion Thread
All of that shit was epic. I agree with what some were saying though in that the judges some kind of advice for improvement. I think there was on some but I think it would help the person out a lot.
Looking forward to future rounds and in the future, I will proudly serve as an ass-kisser to whoever becomes king.

Everyone did an amazing job. I would not want to be in the judge's shoes judging these entrances. Good luck to everyone moving on, and I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with!

^Agreed.
I'm wondering if he's going to screwball us again and make it different again... The Wrestlemania Entrance was cool to do, so I'd very much be up for something different again.
