Impact Wrestling 6/14
Tonight LIVE on Impact Wrestling, Hulk Hogan announces the twelve participants in the 2012 Bound For Glory Series! Bobby Roode defends the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Mr. Anderson! And James Storm returns to national television!
We hit a home run with Slammiversary this past Sunday, Mike, and tonight is gonna be just as sweet!
It’s Mike Tenay, it’s Taz, and once again we want to thank you, the fans, for being a part of history last Sunday, as we celebrated ten great years of Total Nonstop Action wrestling!
“Off The Chain” hits and the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode comes out to the ring, wearing a suit and sunglasses and holding his title over his shoulder with a big grin on his face.
Bobby Roode is set to defend his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Mr. Anderson in the main event so we knew we were going to see him anyway, but it looks like the self-proclaimed “It factor of TNA” doesn’t want to wait to show his face tonight, Taz.
I don’t blame him Mike, the man beat the first ever inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame, Sting, last Sunday! If I beat Sting, I’d wanna come out and talk about it.
Roode holds his title in the air standing on the ring apron before stepping in and getting a microphone.
I said it before, I said it a thousand times and I can still say it now...I am STILL your TNA World Heavyweight Champion!
The crowd boo Roode.
Drink it in, enjoy this moment Orlando! You will never see anything more beautiful than this right now. Y’know, I’ve been TNA World Heavyweight Champion for over SEVEN months, the longest reigning champion of all time might I add...
Roode pauses and grins.
...and every single wrestler that has been fed to me I have backed up everything that I’ve said and proved that I’m better than them and everybody else in this industry. But this past Sunday at Slammiversary...was one of the most satisfying victories of my career. Y’see ever since I won this title from James Storm, there’s been one persistent thorn in my side and his name is Sting.
The crowd cheer when Sting’s name is said.
I should have known you people would cheer when I said his name. And do you know why? Because the Stinger is just like all of you... he is a LOSER!
The crowd boo Roode again and chant “You suck!”
If you don’t believe me just look back at the tape. I beat Sting in the middle of the ring, one two three, fair and square. And now, “The Icon” is no more, I can guarantee you that. Because Sting vowed to beat me at Slammiversary and take my title from me, and he didn’t do it! So I’ll tell you people what he’s going to do. He’s going to take his ball, go home, come back to collect his little Hall of Fame plaque, ring, or whatever the hell Dixie’s planned, and then go home again!
The crowd continue to boo Roode.
Meanwhile, here, on Impact Wrestling every week, in MY company, I’m going to continue beating each and every guy who works up the courage to face me in this very ring, and I will still be the it factor of TNA! And while I’m doing that Sting is gonna be at home watching, wishing he could come back. But the fact of the matter is Sting is done, and as the guy that put him out for good, it feels....
“Raging Of The Region” hits and the X Division Champion Austin Aries comes out to a big reaction.
That’s not Sting, that’s not Mr. Anderson, it’s the X Division Champion Austin Aries!
That’s the best I’ve ever seen anybody look four days after a match with Samoa Joe, let alone a match that Austin Aries won!
Aries steps into the ring and gets a mic.
Whoa whoa whoa, stop right there! Don’t say a damn word!
The crowd boo, wanting to hear Aries talk.
What the hell are you doing, interrupting me in MY ring?!
Well seeing as you, the World Heavyweight Champion, believe you can come out whenever you please I figured that it’s only fair that I, the X Division Champion and the greatest man that ever lived, can come out here too.
The crowd cheer Aries.
Austin Aries...that’s your name right?
Aries nods his head and Roode takes a step closer, coming nose to nose with him.
Austin Aries...WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!
Aries takes a step back from Roode.
Easy, compadre. I’m your friend out here all right? To answer your question, like I said before I am the X Division Champion. And seeing as you seem to think you run this place with that title I like to think that I’m pretty important too.
Run this place? I AM THIS PLACE! I’m the reason people tune in every Thursday, buy every pay per view, hell I’m the reason you and everybody else has a company to work for! I am a walking dollar sign which is why I am the best in this business, so how about you show me some respect?!
Jeez Bobby I’d love to. But the funny thing is you’ve been champion for over seven months...and I still don’t respect you one single bit.
The crowd cheer and chant “Austin Aries!”
I’m gonna ignore that and give you some solid advice pal. Get the hell out of my ring before I throw you out myself!
Aries removes his jacket and throws it on the floor before dropping his title. Roode does the same and they come face to face.
I’m not going anywhere.
They both drop their mics and begin to exchange blows! Aries starts to get the better of Roode but Roode pegs him back with a low blow kick. Roode starts to beat him down on the ground when “Feedback” hits and Mr. Anderson comes out. Roode stands up and tells Anderson to bring it and he does, running to the ring and fighting him. Roode gains the advantage and runs off the ropes but is then flattened by a clothesline from Aries! Anderson gets him straight back up and throws him through the ropes out of the ring.
There goes the World Champion!
Roode swipes his title away from under the ropes and exits hastily as Anderson and Aries watch him leave with smirks on their faces.

You doing alright?
Don’t ask stupid questions.
Sorry. If you need any help with Aries and Anderson...let me know.
A smirk appears on Roode’s face.
Actually I could use some help tonight. I have Anderson to worry about in our match tonight so I want you to take out Aries. I don’t care if it’s a match or a fight. He needs to learn not to screw with Bobby Roode, you understand?
You got it champ.
Roode pats Gunner on the back before walking away.

Hernandez is the new TNA TV Champion...thanks to Chavo Guerrero, Jr.! What is he doing in TNA?!
I don’t know man. I hope we get some answers but for the time being all we know is that Hernandez is the new champ!
And speaking of champions we’ve got some breaking news. General Manager Hulk Hogan has just confirmed that the X Division Champion Austin will face Gunner right here tonight on Impact Wrestling!
Backstage, X Division Champion Austin Aries is lacing up his boots in his locker room.
Austin Aries, what are your thoughts on facing Gunner tonight?
Well, anonymous cameraman, I can’t wait. Gunner’s no slouch, he’s a big guy and I’m aware of that. But it looks like he’s got his head right up Bobby Roode’s ass so that gives me a little extra motivation. If he wants to do the champ’s dirty work then it’s his career he’s wasting, but the fact of the matter is I’m gonna beat him tonight and I know Bobby’s gonna be watching. After that, if Bobby Roode makes it out of here tonight still the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and he still thinks he can walk over anybody in this company...then I would just love to prove him wrong.
Aries goes back to lacing up his boots.
As we return, a replay is shown of Hernandez beating Devon to win the TNA TV Title after interference from the debuting Chavo Guerrero, Jr. We then see Hernandez and Guerrero walking backstage.
Hernandez, Chavo, what happened out there?
You got yourself a new TV Champion, that’s what just happened!
Yeah but Chavo, what is this? What’s your relationship with Hernandez?
I’m taking Hernandez to new heights, vato! This guy hasn’t got the praise he deserves ever since he came to this company, and with me, a Guerrero, and the TV Title, now he’s gonna get it! Viva la raza!
Hernandez and Chavo walk away.
Well we now know the nature of this new relationship between the TV Champion Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
I do agree with Chavo, Mike, Hernandez is a pretty underrated dude. But come on man, this isn’t the way to get attention!
“Get Your Fist Pumpin’ In The Air” hits. Robbie E comes out with Robbie T, holding The List as the crowd boo and they walk to the ring.
There is the former TV Champion Robbie E with Robbie T. They lost to Devon and Garrett Bischoff in tag team action last Sunday at Slammiversary so Robbie E will want to get back on track tonight.
Robbie E enters the ring and fistpumps. “Longnecks And Rednecks” blares out. James Storm walks out to a huge reaction from the crowd and makes his way to the ring.
James Storm has not been seen on Impact Wrestling in two months since he announced he was taking some time off. He returned at Slammiversary to end Crimson’s sixteen month undefeated streak and now he completes his return.

Storm makes the cover. 1......2......3!
Winner – James Storm
Storm has his hand raised by the referee and the crowd cheer.
“The Cowboy” gets the victory on his first night back on Impact Wrestling!
So much for Robbie E getting back on track! Wrong place wrong time, I guess.
Storm has a drink of beer before getting a mic.
First off...it’s great to be back in Impact Wrestling!
The crowd cheer.
I was gone for two months, and believe me they were two long-ass months. The last time I competed before last Sunday...I lost in my hometown to Bobby Roode with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
The crowd boo when Roode is mentioned.
And that was a pretty bitter pill to swallow. Hell while I was sittin’ at home I wondered to myself sometimes...if I should even be doin’ this anymore.
The fans boo.
But then I realized...that there was no chance in hell I was gonna go out like that!
The crowd cheer and chant “Storm!”
I’ve spent some great time with my family, and I loved every second of it...but James Storm is not a quitter! I made a vow to myself to once again become TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and I’ll be damned if I don’t make it happen! I ain’t gonna take another minute off from workin’ my ass off to get back to the top of the mountain!
Storm walks towards the camera in the corner.
So Bobby Roode, Ken Anderson, whoever the hell has that title when I get a rematch... SORRY!

Storm runs towards Crimson, but Crimson lays him out with a big boot. Crimson gets Storm straight back up, and hits him with the Red Sky.
Crimson is no longer undefeated as of last Sunday thanks to James Storm and he is not happy about it one single bit.
Crimson leaves the ring without saying a word as Storm lies motionless.
Crimson seems pretty bitter Mike.
James Storm is back in Impact Wrestling and it looks like he’s made himself a fresh enemy in the form of Crimson.
Back from the break we see a replay of Crimson attacking James Storm. Afterwards “Rockhouse” hits and the General Manager Hulk Hogan walks out. Hogan gets a great reaction from the crowd and he bows down to them before walking to the ring.
Hulk Hogan is making his way to the ring and he’s going to announce the twelve competitors who will take part in the Bound For Glory Series.
Bobby Roode won the series and now he’s the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. It just goes to show the impact this series can have on your career even if you don’t win at Bound For Glory itself.
Hogan plays to the fans a little before getting a mic.
What’s up, Hulkamaniacs?!
The crowd cheer.
First off I wanna thank each and every one of you for being a part of history last Sunday with Slammiversary. Whether you were there live or watching on pay per view, it was an awesome night and it couldn’t have happened without your support.
More cheers as the crowd chant “TNA!”

Joe shrugs his shoulders before leaving the locker room.
As we return to Impact Wrestling, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian are talking backstage.
I can’t believe it. I’m not in the Bound For Glory Series, and AJ Styles is! What the hell is up with that?!
I’m just as surprised as you are Frankie. But it’s not all bad because you’ll never guess what I just found out.
What is it?
AJ Styles isn’t here tonight...and neither is Dixie Carter.
Daniels and Kazarian start to laugh.
Oh my god, are you serious? It’s like the guy WANTS everybody to know he’s banging the president of this company!
I know right? But hey just wait until next week. We’ll have a lot to say to him...unless he’s too busy doing other things, that is.
Daniels and Kazarian high five before they both take drinks from their cocktail glasses.

Gunner steps into the ring and stands in the corner with his fists clenched. “Raging Of The Region” hits. The X Division Champion Austin Aries walks out with his title around his waist wearing a cape and gets a big reaction from the crowd.

Can I help you?
Yeah, ya can. Where the hell is Abyss and his brotha?!
He’s not here tonight dude.
Ray slams his hands down on Hogan’s desk.
What the hell do ya mean he’s not here?!
All I know is that he isn’t here. And neither is his brother.
