* Last thread was in May

An Era Redefined

Quote:

On March 26th, 2001 Vince McMahon planned to announce to the world that he purchased his biggest rival WCW, but he was in for a huge surprise. Before announcing his purchase Vince started to bash WCW and all the talent they have under contract. Vince is interrupted when the titantron springs to life and shows the cheering WCW crowd in Panama City. An enraged Vince starts to yell to have it turned off, but before he can continue he is interrupted by his son Shane McMahon. Shane reveals to the world that a McMahon did purchase WCW but it wasn't his father, it was him. Shane says that he wasn't going to let his father ruin the legacy of WCW over petty reasons and he decided to make a stand. Vince starts screaming that Shane can't do this but Shane just smiles and shrugs it off. Nitro and RAW both come to a close as Shane reveals that this isn't the last you have seen of WCW. The camera then zooms in close on Vince who looks like he is about to explode with anger.

I really like the n.W.o approach friend, Shane could be the new Eric Bischoff. Great startup idea. I'll be reading.

Good luck!

Yeah, I love how you've almost empowered the WCW moreso than the actual Invasion angle by introducing the nWo right off the bat. I'm really excited for this actually, looking forward to seeing where you go from here. Only gripe is Trish saving Lita from Chyna? The amazon that beat men down for a living? Considering how green Trish was back then too.

Bar that, I am excited to see some more!

I loved the Invasion Angle that the WWF did but - with more knowledge of the business nowadays - I can see why it was a colossul failure in many peoples eyes nowadays. Interesting changes to the Judgement Day results - I don't understand why Chyna attacked Lita and then Trish got involved (remember that Trish wasn't the megastar that she would become at that point) but I assume this fits with some kind of story you want to go with. NWO in from the start and ending the PPV on top - a real statement of intent. The lack of WCW's big names in Invasion so let it down (looking back) and when their Survivor Series team consisted of RVD, Booker T and three WWF guys (Shane, Austin and Angle), I can see why people felt let down. Hoping to see some of the other big names as well and see them looking strong - Goldberg, Flair, DDP and Booker. Good luck.

Preview

When Judgment Day came to a close this past Sunday, the wrestling world was shaken to its very core. The n.W.o appearing to be lead by new wCw owner Shane McMahon made their presence felt by taking out 4 of the top stars in the WWF. We have learned via WWF.com that Vince McMahon will open RAW IS WAR! and address the attack from Judgment Day. The same reported also informs us that Mr. McMahon has also issued an order for extra security to keep the wCw scum out of his show and that includes his son, he candidly told WWF.com

Tune in this Monday Night to RAW IS WAR! as it emanates live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Interesting. Never caught this when it first got posted, must have missed it but it certainly looks promising. Like how you've dived right into the whole Invasion thing straight away especially with the introduction of the nWo. Hoping to see this explode further, Shane could become a colossal force with Hall, Nash & Hogan with him so it'll be interesting to see where that goes, the question I have though is if the nWo will eventually turn on Shane & WCW since they 'never were pro WCW' I'll be reading.

Love the nWo and to see them here one year earlier in 2001 during the whole WWF/WCW war would be awesome and for them to align themselves with Shane McMahon, Shane yes he could be like the new Eric Bischoff with Shane hanging out with the nWo becoming an nWo member wearing nWo black and white would be something to see but I wonder if Hollywood Hogan will decide to go after the WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin setting up a Hogan/Austin feud or are you building up towards a Hogan/Rock feud because if you are, then Rock would have to return since Rock is on suspension but really Rock at this time he is off in Hollywood shooting a movie so, and how about Nash & Hall I figure they would probably feud with Undertaker and Kane the Brothers of Destruction but I wonder if the Kliq will be reunited since Triple H is here during the WWF/WCW war, and I wonder if Triple H will feud with the nWo also
