Default Re: C3K Presents: WWE 2009 - The Fear That's In Your Eyes

This is extremely late, and the reason for that is a combination of lack of motivation and my plans being destroyed because of a laptop malfunction. I contemplated starting a new thread, but this is the thread I've enjoyed doing the most so I'll power through with this. It will go slower than it did before, and unfortunately Fully Loaded might be in recap. Anyway, here's a preview, feel free to predict.

WWE Fully Loaded
28 June 09
02 Arena; London, England

WWE Championship:
~ No Disqualification/No Count Out ~

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. The Deadman The Undertaker

It was the night after Backlash, Randy Orton was celebrating defeating the then World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, and after winning the WWE Championship the night before, The Viper was on top of the world. But then it all came crashing down, as the final draft pick of the night was revealed, and the final pick was none other than Randy Orton’s long time rival, The Undertaker.

This rivalry began many years ago when Randy Orton was just making a name for himself, he challenged The Deadman to a match at WrestleMania, hoping to end the streak, and he came within an inch of doing just that. The rivalry continued through the year, but now it has been renewed as The Undertaker is targeting the WWE Championship. Orton managed to retain the championship at Judgment Day, thanks to Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, but now he has to do it one more time.

One on One:
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels vs. The Awesome One The Miz

Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest of all time, he is an icon of his generation, and he can still go with the best of them. The Miz is a young, brash up and comer who believes he can turn anything into gold. These two could not be more different, one lets his in-ring action do the talking while the other has no problem running his mouth and disrespecting the greats of this industry.

Shawn Michaels represents every legend that The Miz has disrespected, people like Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair and countless others but he also has a reason to defeat The Miz. He suffered a foot injury at the hands of The Awesome One at Backlash, and when HBK returned, he was targeted by The Miz once more. And he will have to deal with The Miz before he gets his wish at a WrestleMania rematch with The Undertaker.

Intercontinental + World Tag Team Championship:
~ Winner Take All ~
~ Wade Barrett is banned ~

The Monarchy; William Regal, Drew McIntyre & Nigel McGuiness vs. The Master of the 619 Rey Mysterio & Cryme Tyme; JTG & Shad

William Regal and Rey Mysterio’s rivalry began way back on the night after WrestleMania. It begun over the Intercontinental Championship, but it has now evolved into one of the most personal feuds in the WWE. And with the addition of Drew McIntyre and Nigel McGuiness to The Monarchy, the odds were stacked against The Ultimate Underdog, but Cryme Tyme came to his rescue, and that began a feud which has captivated audiences.

Be it, Cryme Tyme stealing The Monarchy’s personal belongings, William Regal recruiting a bare knuckle fighter to cost Rey the Intercontinental Championship, McIntyre and McGuiness laying waste to Cryme Tyme or The Monarchy attacking Rey in front of his little girl – this rivalry is personal and it will end in front of The Monarchy’s home town.

Money in the Bank:
Mister Money in the Bank CM Punk vs. The All American Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger is the last ever ECW Champion, but after coming to Raw, he has set his sights on the WWE Championship. He believes the quickest way to earn that title is by defeating CM Punk and taking his Money in the Bank briefcase. A case which practically guarantees the holder the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship.

CM Punk is a former World Heavyweight Champion, but his reign was cut short by the current WWE Champion when he punted him in the head. Punk has stated he would love nothing more than to end Randy Orton’s championship reign, but he has to defeat Jack Swagger first.

Undisputed Women’s Championship:
Undisputed Women’s Champion Maryse vs. The Dark Diva Katie Lea

Maryse became the first ever Undisputed Women’s Champion by defeating both Beth Phoenix and Melina in a triple threat match at Judgment Day. She now faces a new opponent, the sinister Katie Lea. Katie isn’t your typical diva, she has taken issue with divas like Maryse getting shot after shot based on their looks. She now gets a chance at the Women’s Championship after “being held down because she doesn’t fit the mould of a diva” and it happens in front of her home fans.

Grudge Match
The Glamazon Beth Phoenix vs. The A List Diva Melina

Beth Phoenix is the former Women’s Champion and she believes the reason she lost the championship is because of Melina. Phoenix looked on course to retain the championship until Melina got involved at Judgment Day, Maryse would go on to win the title but this huge rivalry between Phoenix and Melina would begin to overshadow the Women’s Championship. These two straight up want to kill each other, and now they get their chance in this match.

Rubber Match
The Colons; Carlito & Primo vs. The Legacy; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

This is simple: It’s about how are the better tag team. Each team has a win over the other, and after a sneak attack by Legacy and then cheating to win, Jerry Lawler announced these two would go at it one more time, and it would decide who are better.

Bonus Questions
Predict the match order?
How many championships will change hands?
Who will take the fall in the six man tag?
Will there be any bloodshed? If so, which match(es)?
Which match will last the longest?
Which match will last the shortest?
Will the MITB be cashed in?
Will there be any surprise appearances?

Will there be any bloodshed? If so, which match(es)?
Which match will last the longest?
Which match will last the shortest?

The match order I see going as follows:

1) Money in the Bank- CM Punk vs Jack Swagger
2) WWE Intercontinental & World Tag Team Championship Winner Take All- William Regal (c), Nigel McGuiness and Drew McIntyre vs Rey Mysterio and Cryme Tyme
3) Beth Phoenix vs Melina
4) The Miz vs Shawn Michaels
5) Grudge Match- The Colons (Carlito & Primo) vs Legacy (Rhodes & DiBiase)
6) WWE Undisputed Women's Championship- Maryse vs Katie Lea
7) (Main Event) WWE Championship- Randy Orton (c) vs The Undertaker

2) If I had to predict which championships end up changing hands, I will say the WWE Undisputed Women's Championship with Katie Lea becoming the new WWE Women's Champion beating Maryse in front of her home fans in London, England, that being the only title that changes hands

3) As for who takes the fall in the six-man tag I will say JTG ends up taking the fall

4) The only match that will have bloodshed will be the main event that being The Undertaker vs Randy Orton with it being brutal all the way throughout with it being a real war between these 2 men

5) The match that will last the longest will be the WWE Championship match between Orton and Taker

6) The match that will be the shortest will be Beth Phoenix vs Melina

7) Yes I say CM Punk will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase against whoever wins against Randy Orton and Taker, hell Punk even teased that he would

8) As for any surprise appearances I hope there is a surprise WWE return from someone like maybe Kurt Angle, or even Booker T

7. WWE Championship:
~ No Disqualification/No Count Out ~

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. The Deadman The Undertaker

Huge, huge match to headline the card here. I really like the serious level you took this to right away; it's very easy (as I've probably done on a fair few occasions) to try to 'coast' on a feud so you can have a more serious rematch later on. With this, you came right out and had Orton's mind games, especially with the threat of the Punt to solidify his absolutely red-hot character at this point in time. I get the impression that Orton might just Punt the Deadman, maybe to bring him back later - even if you don't, I'm pretty sure you'll have Orton go over, because this title reign was the one that never really kicked on properly and, like your use of Hardy on SmackDown, I think you're looking to right a couple of wrongs that the WWE had in 2009. That plus I don't think you want 'Taker as champion, it sort of limits what you can do - Orton to look like a badass, moving forward to face the wide array of possibilities like Triple H or Batista or Punk or whoever the hell you want. If Undertaker doesn't eat the Punt, the possibility of a HBK rematch is right there too.

6. One on One:
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels vs. The Awesome One The Miz

I am a huge fan of The Miz, though almost exclusively as a heel, and in 2009 he was just beginning to show his capabilities as the kind of guy who can really get inside the heads of much bigger stars (i.e. Cena irl, before THAT squash). That said, as much as I'd love to see him knock off HBK and get a huge push here, the concept of a HBK/Taker rematch, probably at Summerslam if you're going for it, means you can't really have Michaels losing to The Miz, especially not when he was still just coming up, and although I could see Miz winning with a hand on the ropes or something, I think it would do more for him to lose, but competitively.

I can't see the IC Title pinging back to Rey at this point tbh, and I reckon the Monarchy looking dominant in front of their home fans (well, not McIntyre but you get what I mean) is a more sensible decision going forward. You can build new faces to challenge these guys, but for now, it needs to be Regal and co. showing how ruthless they are by winning here. Regal's horrific treatment of Rey will get him the heat he needs, so some young face can dethrone this cold heartless S.O.B later.

1. Money in the Bank:
Mister Money in the Bank CM Punk vs. The All American Jack Swagger

Like with The Miz, I'm a huge fan of Swagger (maybe more tbh, the guy has bundles of talent), but 2009 for me was Punk's breakout year, and that all begins with the briefcase in his hand. It also says a lot for Punk to top the 'last ever ECW Champion', while Swagger can get pissed about a narrow loss here and go on to batter people from here on out anyway. I'm seeing the Punk/Orton feud we never got in real life (until 2011, anyway) so Punk to go storming on here.

5. Undisputed Womenís Championship:
Undisputed Womenís Champion Maryse vs. The Dark Diva Katie Lea

Thank you for pushing Katie Lea. Ages and ages ago I was planning a 2009 thread and I had her beat 'Santina' for the Miss Wrestlemania crown purely so she could start dominating. You've given her the ice-queen-style 'no-one appreciates me' push, but I really like it, and I'm all for her taking the strap here. She might not, but again, being in her home country and all might just be the kicker. This woman had immense talent and deserved a push; like Hardy/Orton/various other things, maybe you're just looking to fix a few mistakes. Wasting Katie Lea was certainly one of them.

2. Grudge Match
The Glamazon Beth Phoenix vs. The A List Diva Melina

Largely a toss-up but as our new King once told me, Beth over Melina any day of the week. If I disagree with him he sends the guards after me, so rather than waste more of them I'll go with the Glamazon. And props for having two Divas matches on one card, both with legitimate storylines. That's a rarity.

3. Rubber Match
The Colons; Carlito & Primo vs. The Legacy; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

I think the Legacy could use looking strong tonight; the Colons wouldn't really get much out of it. Like City thumping Newcastle at the weekend, easy pickings for Rhodes and DiBiase here.

Bonus Questions
Predict the match order? This can't end well. Done.
How many championships will change hands? How many did I say? ...wow, usually I say zero. One it is.
Who will take the fall in the six man tag? You suck JTG
Will there be any bloodshed? If so, which match(es)? Tempting on various counts but I'll say no.
Which match will last the longest? Taker/Orton.
Which match will last the shortest? Katie Lea to kill Maryse dead.
Will the MITB be cashed in? Nah.
Will there be any surprise appearances? Again, I'm tempted by Batista or the Game but I'll say no. Orton's victory pose above Taker to be our last shot, he can do something heinous on Raw to bring someone back.

Even if it's only a recap, it's a bon card and I look forward to reading how it goes down. Good luck brother

Will the MITB be cashed in? Whilst the UK deserves to see a big title change and as cool as it would be, I don't see it happening.

5. One on One:

I don't think it will be clean, but any win over HBK is career altering for Miz.

1. Intercontinental + World Tag Team Championship:
~ Winner Take All ~

The Monarchy; William Regal, Drew McIntyre & Nigel McGuiness vs. The Master of the 619 Rey Mysterio & Cryme Tyme; JTG & Shad

C'mon, the PPV's in England! If they lose, 02 Arena riots imo.

2. Money in the Bank:
Mister Money in the Bank CM Punk vs. The All American Jack Swagger

All day every day.

6. Undisputed Womenís Championship:
Undisputed Womenís Champion Maryse vs. The Dark Diva Katie Lea

Katie Lea is letting her country down.

3. Grudge Match
The Glamazon Beth Phoenix vs. The A List Diva Melina

Beth wins, goes onto face Maryse... maybe.

4. Rubber Match
The Colons; Carlito & Primo vs. The Legacy; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

The fact that they're hovering around the M/E scene suggests they'll pick up the win.

Will the MITB be cashed in? Actually... yes. I see you having Punk cash in on Orton, and win the strap. DO IT.
Will there be any surprise appearances? If you count Punk at the end of the Orton/Taker match, then yes.

7. WWE Championship:
~ No Disqualification/No Count Out ~
WWE Champion Randy Orton
vs. The Deadman The Undertaker

I donít really see the need for you to make Taker champion, not quite sure what heíd bring to the table whilst Orton still has plenty of gas in the tank. Orton to retain.

4. One on One:
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels
vs. The Awesome One The Miz

Iíd be happy to see a Miz win here but I donít think itís gonna happen. I think youíll have him come close a couple of times to what would be an upset but ultimately HBK shows his experience and pulls through.

This oneís simple, Monarchy all the way. A good heel stable tends to be crushed in real life and Iím sure you donít have any intentions of killing these guys off anytime soon. Monarchy momentum continues here.

1. Money in the Bank:
Mister Money in the Bank CM Punk
vs. The All American Jack Swagger

Like the match above I think this oneís pretty simple. Punk needs to look strong up until his cash in and a victory here just helps keep ticking him over and building him up nicely. Swagger, like Miz in his match, will look good but ultimately it ends in defeat.

5. Undisputed Womenís Championship:
Undisputed Womenís Champion Maryse
vs. The Dark Diva Katie Lea

Maryse for me, just has to be. Sheís only just getting started.

3. Grudge Match
The Glamazon Beth Phoenix
vs. The A List Diva Melina

Props for putting two womenís matches on the card. Nowadays itís unlikely we even get one, let alone two. Iíve been more invested in this feud than the actual title match which again is credit to you for making this interesting. Iím going for Beth before she heads back after Maryse.

2. Rubber Match
The Colons; Carlito & Primo vs. The Legacy; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

Legacy all day, every day. ĎNuff said.

Bonus Questions
Predict the match order? Done.
How many championships will change hands? None.
Who will take the fall in the six man tag? JTG
Will there be any bloodshed? If so, which match(es)? Iím gonna go with no.
Which match will last the longest? Undertaker/Orton.
Which match will last the shortest? Womenís Title
Will the MITB be cashed in? Donít see it happening yet.
Will there be any surprise appearances? Probably but I havenít got a Scooby who.

Good luck with this BRO, should be a gooden.
