WWE 2012: Reboot

I think the WWE has a mass amount of talent, yet the program doesn't seem fresh. I am just going to start this year over. I am ignoring a few suspensions along the way (Rey Mysterio for starters) and also skipping some feuds that were ongoing at the end of 2011. I hope everyone enjoys this. I am going to try and be creative every week. I will do Raw, Smackdown and all the PPVs. I wont be doing Superstars, because it would just be too much. I will start each post with the date, and listing the titles. I will try to keep debuts/returns close to their original dates as well.
WWE 2012: A New Era of Attitude
Raw January 2nd 2012:
WWE Champion: CM Punk
World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes
United States Champion: Zach Ryder
Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne
Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

Opening Segment: In-Ring Interview with Undertaker and Justin Roberts
-Roberts is asking about the Undertaker’s absence from WWE for the past 8 months, and Undertaker replies that he has been busy assembling a group to help him overtake the WWE. Roberts asks what he means by “take over the WWE” and Undertaker says that he hasn’t forgotten his failed attempt to shroud the WWE in Darkness, A Ministry of Darkness. Roberts tries to ask who the members of this ministry are, but ‘Taker’s ministry music hits and he exits the ring and slowly walks up to the stage.

First match: Sin Cara vs Rey Mysterio
-Fast paced match, lot of reversals but no real damaging moves. Mysterio wins with a roll-up after catching Sin Cara on an enziguri. Mysterio helps up the shocked Sin Cara and shakes his hand. Sin Cara responds by kicking Mysterio in the groin and hits a top rope moonsault to add insult to injury. Cut to commercial on Mysterio screaming in pain.
Winner: Rey Mysterio, but Sin Cara gets the last laugh

When we return from commercial, Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne are walking towards the ring, when Bourne says that he needs to grab his vest from the locker room. Kofi keeps moving towards Gorilla.

Second Match: Tag Team Title match: Big Show and Kane come out to a mixed reaction. Big Show is supposed to be a good guy, feuding with the heel, Daniel Bryan. Kane is a sure fire evil monster. The two have teamed before, and look intimidating in the ring together.
Kofi comes out by himself. He keeps looking back up the ramp. Evan Bourne is nowhere to be found. Kofi grabs a mic, climbs onto the apron and tells Bourne to get down to the ring A.S.A.P. Big Show grabs the mic and says that he has “all the time in the world, no rush.”
The Titantron shows CM Punk watching the show backstage looking puzzled. He hears someone yelling in the next room and opens the door to see Evan Bourne on a stretcher being taken out of the locker room, he tries to ask Bourne who injured him, but Bourne has a tube going down his throat and can’t speak.
Back to the ring, Big Show tells Kingston that the “match must go on, sorry pal” and gives Kingston a WMD to the skull and a beat down ensues. Kane and Big Show set up a table in the middle of the ring and double choke slam Kingston through it. The bell rings. They have been disqualified. Kane grabs the ref and tombstones the ref onto a chair. Big Show grabs the mic and announces that its time for some changes in WWE, and they start tonight!
Winner: Kofi and Bourne by DQ, titles retained

Third Match: Curt Hawkins, Drew McIntyre, and Justin Gabriel all come out for a three-way match. Right as Gabriel gets into the ring, Justin Roberts announces that this is a Three-on-one match. Stunned, the three all look at each other unsure of how this is going to work, when Sheamus’s music hits. He comes to the ring and starts to dismantle the three, who refuse to work together. The three comically push and throw each other into the fire, and Sheamus clotheslines and Brogue Kicks them all onto the mat. He then hits his assorted Signatures (White Noise/Irish Curse/Celtic Cross) on all three and pins each individually. He does his customary celebration, as Raw cuts to a commercial break.
Winner: Sheamus

Back from commercial and Gabriel, Hawkins and McIntyre are arguing and start to fight, ending with all three on the outside of the ring following a dive from Gabriel.
Up next is a Royal Rumble Qualifier match! Cole and Lawler do a breakdown of the show to that point, and Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis is going to come out and announce his plans for the rest of the night, and introduce the contestants of the Royal Rumble Qualifier.
Laurinaitis comes out to a chorus of boos and starts his usual schpeel. “My name is Mr. John Laurinaitis. I am the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw” to even more boos. He goes on to announce that his final match will be between CM Punk and a mystery opponent, that won’t be announced until the match. He then introduces the first qualifier match: Zach Ryder vs Dolph Ziggler.

Fourth Match: Ryder comes out to a massive pop, with Eve at his side, but looking disinterested in the Long-Island Iced-Z’s antics. Vickie Guerrero introduces Ziggler, who comes out with Jack Swagger at his side. The match is a good back and forth battle, with both Swagger and Guerrero trying to interfere, but Eve doesn’t even move once for her “Boyfriend” Ryder. Swagger grabs Eve and holds her arms behind her back while Vickie slaps her with a vicious open hander. Ryder turns his back on Ziggler who hits a double knee backbreaker followed by a Zig-Zag for the win.
Winner: Zigger, with an assist to Swagger and Guerrero.

The announce team starts to wonder who CM Punk’s opponent tonight will be. They start to throw some far-fetched names into the hat: Stone Cold? The Rock? Undertaker? He was on the show tonight.
Fifth Match: Diva’s Champion Beth Phoenix and Natalya vs Tamina Snuka and Kelly Kelly. The action in the match is Phoenix and Natalya dominating the action against Kelly until Snuka tags in and evens the match. Snuka and Phoenix have a little back and forth before Phoenix just outmuscles Snuka into the GlamSlam and wins one for the “Divas of Doom”.
Winners: Phoenix and Natalya

John Cena is shown backstage going into Laurinaitis’s office. Big Johnny isn’t there, but Ryder and Eve are. Cena asks if Ryder is ok, and Eve asks “What about me?” Cena isn’t sold that she is 100% in Ryder’s corner and largely ignores her to check on his friend. Johnny walks in and asks what everyone is doing in his office. Ryder demands a match with Swagger, next week on Raw. Johnny says that “the People would love to see you get your revenge, Zach, but you will have to give something up to get that match. The match will be for the United States title!” Ryder agrees and turns to leave, Big Johnny asks Eve to stay, and Ryder walks out alone.

Cena wants to know why he doesn’t have a match that night. Big Johnny says the people don’t want to see him. (This gets a mixed reaction from the crowd) but he will allow Cena a chance to issue an open challenge if he wishes. “No one even wants to WRESTLE you, Cena. The People can’t stand you!” Cena is very irritated as he heads out of Laurinaitis’ office and towards the ring. Johnny kicks the camera man out as he starts to talk to Eve.

Sixth match: John Cena open challenge. Cena comes out, he says he has his ring gear on, he’s ready to fight. Is anyone in the back willing to come out and challenge him? Mark Henry’s music hits and the World’s Strongest Man strolls to the ring and Cena thoroughly dominates him in a short match that ends with a monstrous Attitude Adjustment for the victory.
Winner: Cena in about 2 minutes

Punk comes out after commercial, and the crowd is into it. The Champion is headlining Raw… even with Cena on the show! Not so fast, what if Cena is the mystery opponent? Suddenly, the arena goes black. The TitanTron shows a short video that has been shown repeatedly over the past few weeks. It shows a small school boy and girl in a classroom. The boy and girl both say “now!” and disappear from the screen. At the top of the ramp a red flashing light appears. “Break the walls down!” It’s Chris Jericho, and he looks more sparkly than ever before! Y2J makes his slow walk down to the ring, jumps in and stares down Punk. Ring Announcer Justin Roberts announces that the match is a non-title match, and introduces Jericho to a massive cheer.

Seventh match: WWE Champion CM Punk vs Chris Jericho. Punk and Jericho circle in the ring for a second lock up and start a typical Jericho-Punk classic. It’s a short match that keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. Jericho finally grabs Punk as he attempts a flying lariat from the ring apron, over the top rope, and throws him onto his back to attempt the Walls of Jericho. He almost has him turned when flames sprout from the ring posts and the lights go out. The lights come back on and Big Show and Kane are standing over the lifeless bodies of Punk and Jericho as the show ends.

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

It's a good read but why Cena wins in a 2 minute match? Why'd you call it a 'reboot' in the first place if Cena continues to dominate WWE. I thought this era sucks exactly because of guys like Orton and Cena dominating (especially John).

I think diminishing Cena's role greatly will allow other guys (Ziggler, Ryder, Bryan, Punk, Jericho) some of that spotlight. McMahon and the other WWE head guys seem to want him to be the focal point of every show. He starts almost every Raw, and he is the last match or promo as well. Cena is still a big draw, and I think he will have more and more value as my reboot goes along, and I have drawn out a plan for his character that will IMO make him more likeable by all.I can't just eliminate him because he is the only guy on the roster that is a household name.

I have a plan with Orton too. I think he is kind of forced down everyone's throat because Smackdown lacks a strong Main Event presence. He was the only draw on the Smackdown roster most of last year, and he switch roles several times to accommodate guys like Del Rio and Sheamus. This version, my version, of WWE will have Main eventers on both shows, but Raw and Smackdown will always have crossover guys. There will be a good balance every night, especially around the Rumble, Wrestlemania, and Summerslam.

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

Cena might be a draw but he only draws kids. What you're making is another PG era with John your way, not that I'm complaining I think you have some awesome ideas man, but I thought this thread would be about bringing the Atitude Era back.

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

Why is Justin Roberts doing interviews? He's an announcer, not an interviewer. For big interviews like that guys like Cole & JR step in with the usual interviewers like Josh Matthews for example. Also it just came out of nowhere and it was made to look like nothing, like Taker's there, talking like any other normal wrestle and says the Ministry's coming back with no build up whatsoever, then wanders off.

You should've built Taker's return up or had a surprise return to then further the Ministry storyline. The little things like Roberts doing the interview need to be thought about too, and when has Taker done an in-ring interview since returning as The Deadman? He was just made to look like any other character.

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

I appreciate the ideas guys, I just think I need more that one show to get my points across. Just be patient and I will keep progressing. I apologize about the improper ring interview segment with Taker. I was kind of lost on how to do that part. I had a basic model and no real place to start it.
I promise that I will make mistakes, but I will try to be creative and give you guys something worth reading. Well, without further ado...

Smackdown January 3rd 2012 (Aired January 6th 2012)
WWE Champion: CM Punk
World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes
United States Champion: Zach Ryder
Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne
Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix
Opening Segment: Teddy Long in Da’ House!
-Long comes to the ring, with trusty sidekick Aksana carrying a blue briefcase. Teddy starts by saying that World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan has not proven that he is a worthy champion. Bryan has narrowly escaped with the title in his ONLY defense, and Bryan only won because he had the Money in the Bank contract, and was able to take advantage of a Mark Henry weakened Big Show.

Mark Henry comes to the ring, and he looks mad. Henry snatches the mic from Teddy. “I should get the next shot at Bryan. Alone. No more triple threats, no more Bryan squeaking by. I was the one who knocked Big Show loopy for that little pipsqueak to come and steal the title, MY WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE!” Teddy Long says that he understands Henry’s concerns, but Henry would have to earn it, especially after being DESTROYED by John Cena on Raw. “Which leads me to my announcement, and why Aksana has this Blue briefcase,” Teddy continues. “This is THE Contract that Daniel Bryan cashed in at TLC. Tonight it will be dangled high above the ring, and 4 Smackdown Superstars will get the opportunity to win this contract, and a shot against Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble. There will be two tag team matches tonight, and the winning teams will comprise the 4 combatants in the ladder match. Randy Orton and Mark Henry will take on Mason Ryan and Ezekiel Jackson! After watching Raw, it seems Big Show and Kane think they are the best thing in WWE. Maybe they can prove it tonight when they take on The Great Khali and The Miz!” Smackdown cuts to commercial as Henry looks to the back, obviously concerned about teaming with Orton.

First Match: Santino Marella vs Alex Riley. Riley comes out first and says he’s tired of the goofballs. He wants to have Smackdown be more serious, less comedy, more matches. Marella comes out and Riley rolls his eyes and looks towards the sky. It’s an obvious “you have got to be kidding me!” moment. Marella and Riley have a methodical match, with Marella doing his greatest hits of power walking, ducking a clothesline with the splits, and reaching into his shirt and pulling out the COBRA! while Riley tries to regain his footing. Riley turns around just in time to sidestep the Cobra and ground Marella with an armbar. Riley pulls the cobra off of Santino’s hand and after a short time of Riley dominating the now lost looking Marella, Riley hits a cutter for the win. Riley then goes to the back, Cobra still in his hand.
Winner: Alex Riley

Backstage segment: Mason Ryan and Ezekiel Jackson are standing in the dressing room. Neither says a word, but both have a look of fairly intense dislike for each other. The announcers mention that besides Kane and Big Show, the other teams are all probably not on speaking terms, as Smackdown cuts to its second commercial.

Second Match: Mason Ryan and Ezekiel Jackson vs Randy Orton and Mark Henry. Orton and Henry don’t come anywhere near each other before the bell, and Henry is anxious to get tagged in. Teddy has made sure that in order to get what everyone wants, they will have to work with someone they don’t like, and it is obvious in the match that no one likes anyone. Orton is attempting to win this match single handedly, but Ryan and Jackson are doing very quick tags and keeping the Viper isolated. Ryan finally makes a key mistake and misses on a clothes line against the ropes and topples onto the floor while Orton falls into the center of the ring. The ref goes to check on Ryan, who appeared to hit his head on the floor, and Henry drags Orton to his corner and waits for the Ref to look back and see a tag to the World’s Strongest Man. Henry cleans Jackson’s clock and drags Ryan back into the ring. He hits the World’s Strongest Slam and pins Ryan. When Henry turns to get his hand raised, Orton hits him with an RKO and staggers out of the ring.
Winner: Randy Orton and, even though he is face down in the ring, Mark Henry

In-ring Segment: Dolph Ziggler comes to the ring with Vickie in toe. Ziggler boasts about being the first man into the Royal Rumble match. He starts to talk about how he has the endurance to outlast anyone in the back, which Vickie Guerrero seems to agree with (not sure which part makes the viewer’s cringe more). Zach Ryder’s music hits, and he comes onto the entrance ramp. He talks about how sick of Ziggler he is. He challenges him to a match at Wrestlemania. Ziggler pulls out his I-Phone and says, ”Sorry bud, but I’m busy that night, I’ll be winning one of WWE’s World Titles that night” Ryder says “Well…. What about next year?” Ziggler says it before really thinking, “You’re on!”

Match Three: Kane and Big Show vs. The Great Khali and The Miz. During the entrances, Cole and Matthews discuss the injury of Evan Bourne: a crushed larynx. Bourne will be out close to a year. Miz and Khali seem to work well together. Miz is smart and has apparently bought onto the idea of working WITH someone to get what you want. Kane and Big Show are booed every time they start to mount offense. Then, out of nowhere, Kane is able to knock Khali off the apron, and clothesline Miz in one swoop. He dives to Big Show and the tides have turned. Big Show starts to beat Miz terrible and Kane drags Khali into a street fight up the ramp. Big Show is tearing Miz further and further apart with brute strength. Chris Jericho runs down the ramp. He is waiting for the right moment to extract revenge on Kane and Show for ruining his return on Raw. Miz drags the ref down on “accident” and Jericho enters the ring, attempts a Breakdown, until the lights go out, and a bell tolls. The Undertaker is on Smackdown? Jericho is staring up the ramp in disbelief. The crowd goes wild as Taker makes his way out unto the ramp and watches. He turns around into a massive WMD and Miz meets the same fate. Show is able to get the ref back in the ring and earns the pinfall victory over Miz.
Winner: Big Show and Kane

Backstage: everyone is in shock as the Undertaker, Kane and Big Show make their way from the ring, to the backstage area and eventually to a private room. It is pretty clear what this means, but no one wants to talk about what it could do to the company.

Match Four: Royal Rumble Qualifying match with Alberto Del Rio taking on Ted DiBiase. DiBiase is wearing a cast on his arm and walking with a limp. It only takes a few minutes for Del Rio to weaken that arm and shoulder, and clamp on the Cross Arm Breaker. DiBiase tries to fight to the ropes, but he eventually is forced to submit. Del Rio refuses to let go, and it takes 4 referees to break him off DiBiase.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Match Five: Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes comes to the ring. He has a mic, and talks about being Intercontinental Champion for four months and restoring pride to the faded glory of the title. Rhodes talks about becoming a “fighting champion, even the likes of Bret Hart has never seen.” His opponent comes out to this comment. Wade Barrett is a former Intercontinental Champion and looks impressive next to the smaller Rhodes, and the two lock up. Rhodes relies on quickness to ground the larger Barrett, and is able to escape several attempted big moves by Barrett before finally hitting the Cross Rhodes and pinning Barrett.
Winner: Cody Rhodes, Intercontinental Championship retained

Match Six: Randy Orton vs Mark Henry vs Big Show Vs Kane. Daniel Bryan comes out and watches from ringside at the announcers table. He uses the Entrances of all four to viciously make fun of the combatants. Kane and Big Show are accompanied by The Undertaker. He seems confident and sure of his plans, and Daniel Bryan talks about how he is a relic and not even worthy of being in the Arena with him. Several minutes into the match, Orton hits another RKO on Henry and as soon as he stands Big Show and Kane nail him with the double choke slam. The two climb separate sides of a ladder to the Briefcase holding the world title contract. They have it in their hands. The slowly unclamp it. They are going to try and make it a triple threat match! This is NOT what Daniel Bryan wants. He wants a match with Randy Orton. Bryan has spent the whole match dissing Orton. Calling him “Bore-a-ton” and saying that he is obviously the easiest to beat. Bryan springs to action. He pushes the ladders over. Show and Kane have the briefcase unclasped and it tumbles to the ring as Kane and Big Show tumble to the floor. Mark Henry is just coming to as the briefcase falls near him. He didn’t hear the bell. He picks up the case and it rings. He holds it high over his head. He is the new Number One contender! The lights go out, and when they come back on Taker is standing directly behind Henry. He turns around into a massive Chokeslam and Kane and Show continue their beat down of Orton and Henry. Bryan is screaming “No! No! No!” at the top of his lungs when Kane and Show turn their attention towards him. He takes off screaming like a little girl as the show goes off the air.
Winner: Mark Henry

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

WWE Raw

January 9th, 2012
WWE Champion: CM Punk
World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes
United States Champion: Zach Ryder
Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne
Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

Opening segment: David Otunga comes out to introduce Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis.

“I would like to ask for all of your attention. Attention, please. (Pause for boos) My name is David Otunga. I am a Harvard Graduate, and the personal assistant to Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw, John Laurinaitis. Now without further ado, I present to you, the most inspirational man on the planet! MISTER! JOHN! LAURINAITIS!”
There is a massive boo as Big Johnny’s music fills the arena. Laurinaitis and Otunga make their way to the ring. Otunga stands behind Johnny, arms crossed, while Johnny takes a mic and starts to talk. “My name is Mr. John Laurinaitis. I am the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw. Last week on Raw, I put together one of the most formidable cards in WWE history. This past week on Smackdown, my counterpart, Theodore Long put together an even better card, USING MY WRESTLERS!” Johnny starts to walk around the ring. “I have signed, sealed and delivered EVERY member of the WWE Universe. I believe that I should be given Mr. Long’s job… because of my fantastic track record of not only signing, but developing the Best Wrestlers in the World”

-“Look in my eyes! What do you see?” There is a massive pop for WWE Champion CM punk. He hurries into the ring and goes to all four corners to raise the belt and play to the crowd. He makes eye contact with Otunga, and does a quick lunge at the Harvard Grad, causing Otunga to jump backwards and trip into Johnny. The Crowd goes wild. “Listen here, Clown Shoes,” starts Punk. “I wasn’t signed by you, and I certainly wasn’t made what I am today by, well, a stiff like you. When I signed with the WWE, I was Ring of Honor Champion (This causes a minor pop) and I dominated FCW and now have been WWE Champ for hmmmm 2 months now? And YOU… made ME… best in the world?”
Johnny responds that it was his IDEA to sign Punk, and to give him the push he has received. It is now obvious to Laurinaitis that Punk is not the Champion the WWE wants or needs. He vows to take the belt off of him. And he has just the man to do it. “I will now introduce to everyone at home the Number One Contender for the WWE Championshi….”
“AWESOMEEEEEE” and out comes the Miz. He looks very sure of himself. He has the look of someone more confident than he has been in recent weeks. Johnny looks confused. “What are you doing here Miz…?” Miz responds that he read Johnny’s tweet and his “AWESOME” reference when talking about the new Number One Contender. “Miz… I haven’t seen you have an awesome match in months. The man I chose could have a great match with a laundry bag… Chris Jericho!”
“Break the Walls DOWN!!!!!” Jericho comes out onto the Stage next to Miz and plays the crowd. He doesn’t speak, but stares down Miz, while Punk claps in the ring and Raw cuts to its first commercial.

First Match: United States Title Match: Jack Swagger vs Zach Ryder. Ryder and Eve come to the ring, and Eve looks even less interested (if that’s possible) than last week. Swagger comes out with Vickie and Ziggler by his side. Ziggler is wearing a suit and some slick shades. Swagger dominates Ryder for most of the match. Ryder keeps trying to yell at Ziggler every time he gets Swagger off his feet, but Ziggler is unfazed. Ryder is able to roll out of the way of a Swagger “Vader Bomb” and starts to work on the midsection. He gets Swagger lined up for a Rough Ryder, but as he bounces off the ropes, Ziggler grabs Ryder’s ankle, and he falls. Swagger stands up, in shock.. there was no bell ring… He grabs Ryder’s foot and locks on the ankle lock. Ryder taps. Swagger pushes the Long Island Iced-Z out onto the floor at Eve’s feet. Eve doesn’t even attempt to help her “boyfriend.” Swagger, Ziggler and Vickie celebrate as Raw goes backstage.
Winner: Jack Swagger, The New U.S. Champion

Backstage Segment: Kofi Kingston is looking for John Laurinaitis. He needs to know what is going to happen with his Tag Team Championship, with Evan Bourne being out for the next year. Johnny is MIA, but Kingston crosses paths with Epico and Primo. They want the titles, and they just got a message from The Board of WWE, that they are in a number one contenders match with the Usos, tonight!

Second Match: Tamina Snuka vs Natalya (With Beth Phoenix). Natalya starts with the upper hand, and stomps a mud hole in Snuka. Beth is talking a lot of trash on Snuka, and Snuka keeps getting distracted. She eventually gets locked in the Sharpshooter, and is about to tap. Snuka is trying not to, but the pain is making her scream. Phoenix jumps onto the apron, with the title over her shoulder. Natalya turns to yell at Snuka and slightly loosens her grip. Snuka is able to fling Natalya across the ring, where she drills her head against the belt and falls on her back. Snuka hits the Superfly Splash and pins Natalya.
Winner: Tamina Snuka

After a commercial break, John Cena’s music hits, and Cena makes his way onto the stage. He isn’t dancing, he isn’t jumping, he doesn’t run. He walks to the ring, and grabs a mic “I can’t do this. Two weeks in a row, I don’t have a scheduled match. Two weeks in a row, I don’t get a chance to entertain YOU, the fans!” Cena looks like he is about to cry. “Can I get a ref down here?” A ref rushes to the ring, looking confused. “If there is anybody… ANYBODY back there who wants a shot at me, now’s your shot!” An unfamiliar music hits, and a large body stands facing away from the crowd on the ramp. It’s Mason Ryan! The Welsh Beast comes into the ring and stands toe to toe with Cena.

Third Match: John Cena vs Mason Ryan They start trading blows. Punch for punch, the two seems to be equals for the 6 minute match. But just as happened to Ryan on Smackdown! He makes a huge mistake and Cena is able to lock on the STFU. Ryan taps, and rolls out of the ring. Cena is celebrating when Ryan reappears directly behind him, chair in hand. He starts to tear apart Cena, eventually leaving him down on the mat.
Winner: John Cena, but Mason Ryan looked strong, and ended up in better shape than Cena

Triple H is seen walking towards the ring, and The Game is on next!

In-ring Segment: Back from commercial, and Triple H enters. He isn’t spitting water, but looks like he is resigned to being COO and not “The Game.” He talks about Laurinaitis not being able to control Raw, and having Three “Monsters” running rampant on the WWE Universe. Hunter gives Johnny one month to get it straight, or he would be given the ax. Triple H then turns his attention to Big Show, Kane and Undertaker. He’s battled all three, and he has beaten all three. They are all great in their own right, and together they are unstoppable. He then points out Big Show is 3-8 at Wrestlemania, Kane once held the WWE Championship for 24 hours, and Undertaker hasn’t wrestled in 8 months, and the last time HHH saw him, he was on a stretcher after Wrestlemania XXVII. Undertaker comes to the ring, alone. He grabs a mic and tells Triple H that if he thinks so lowly of the 3, why not take them all on? “Funny you should say that, because you need to have one more match to fulfill your contract, and it has to be done by April 5th. I say we just get it out of the way, Undertaker and Triple H at the Royal Rumble!” ‘Taker says there is no way it will be occurring at the Rumble, and he thinks it would be better for Wrestlemania! Triple H is obviously concerned about that idea. He vows to be back in one month to check on the status of Raw, and if Johnny is keeping the New Ministry in check. Triple H walks back up the ramp, looking obviously concerned, as Taker stares at The Game as we cut back to commercial.

Fourth Match: The Usos vs Epico and Primo for the number one contendership] to the WWE Tag Team Titles. This is a fast paced match, with lots of momentum switches. Jimmy and Jey are all over Epico, when Rosa Mendes jumps unto the apron and tries to distract the ref. Primo hits a low blow on Jey, and Epico does the same to Jimmy. The ref turns around, and Epico hits a double kneed back breaker on Jimmy and pins him. Jimmy and Jey plead with the ref, to no avail. Epico and Primo are the Number One Contenders!
Winner: Epico and Primo

Backstage Segment: The Miz is furious. He wants the shot at the Number One Contendership. He goes to Johnny and asks what he has to do, and Johnny says that he must prove that he has the “fire” back. Miz looks like he just got a really good idea. Justin Gabriel, Drew McIntyre and Curt Hawkins walk into the office as Miz exits. They want into the Royal Rumble. Johnny tells them that they will have 2 spots on the line in a 3 on 1 tag match against Sheamus. If they win, two will be entered in the Rumble, if Sheamus wins, he gets to pick someone to go to the rumble with him. Oh and by the way, the match is….now

Fifth Match: Sheamus Vs Justin Gabriel, Drew McIntyre and Curt Hawkins. Sheamus comes to the ring, looking very happy. He loves to beat people up. McIntyre, Hawkins and Gabriel seem to be arguing pretty hard all the way to the ring. Sheamus is able to beat down McIntyre and Gabriel pretty easily, but Hawkins won’t enter the ring. He is telling Sheamus to “pick” him to be in the rumble with him. Sheamus just laughs as he dismantles Gabriel and pins him. Sheamus is handed a mic, and asks “Curt ‘Awkins, get in ta ring” Hawkins jumps in smiling, and is immediately hit with a massive Brogue Kick. “I won’t be taking ya, fella. I’ll be invitin’ good ol’ Fit Finlay!” Finlay comes out and waves a giant Irish Flag.
Winner: Sheamus (And, I guess, Finlay)

Backstage, Kofi is in Johnny’s office. He wants to know who his tag team partner will be moving forward. Johnny says that is not his concern, and he thinks that the WWE is passing Kofi by. Kofi is walking out, when a massive shadow covers the window on the door. In walks Brodus Clay and two females. Brodus hasn’t been seen since NXT and is wearing a goofy top hat and white jump suit, and is strutting. “What’s good, Big Johnny?!” Johnny asks if he is Brodus Clay, looking concerned about Clay’s “look.” Clay says that he doesn’t see a problem, and he just wants to have fun. Johnny looks at Kofi and Clay standing next to each other. “What about the two of you, become a tag team? We could give you a few matches to get ready, and then you defend the titles at the Royal Rumble?” Kofi agrees, and Clay is ecstatic. “First night on Raw and I’m a Tag Team Champ! Funky’s on a roll!” The two walk out of the door, and the camera turns back to Johnny. “Two birds. One stone,” Johnny chuckles as Raw goes to commercial.

CM Punk comes to the ring. He grabs a mic and states that the new year hasn’t been so great for him. He didn’t get a chance to beat Jericho, and got a beat down from Kane and Big Show for his troubles. Then he had to hear from Johnny how much the WWE Universe doesn’t need him as champ, and he needs a pick-me-up. Johnny comes back out, and invites Kofi and Brodus Clay out. “The three of you, will face Big Show and Kane, tonight. I’m confident that Kane and Big Show will have no problem taking care of you three.” The ministry’s music hits, and out comes the Undertaker, with Kane and Big Show in tow.

Sixth Match: CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, and Brodus Clay against Big Show and Kane. The team of Punk, Kingston and Clay are dominating the early part of the match against Big Show, grounding him with double teams, and keeping him away from his corner. Show muscles his way out of Clay’s grasps and makes a tag to Kane, who cleans house. Kane sets up a table on the outside of the ring, and climbs up onto the apron, waiting for the right time to strike.
“AWESOMEEEEEEE!” The Miz blasts down the ramp at full speed! He has his sights set on WWE Champion CM Punk. He is sizing him up for the Skull Crushing Finale. “Break the Walls Doooooooowwnn!” Jericho makes his way down, causing Miz to look up the ramp. In the ring, Clay nails a clothesline on Show, and both seem to be knocked out by the move. Kofi is watching the confrontation between Miz and Y2J unfold. Punk staggers near the table, and Kane sees his opportunity. He starts to climb to the top rope. Jericho sees it unfolding out of the corner of his eye, and sprints to the apron, and nails a Breakdown on Kane through the table. The Bell rings and Big Show and Kane are announced the winners! Raw goes off the air, with Jericho staggering to his feet, as Miz, Punk and Jericho all stand nose to nose.
Winner: Big Show and Kane, via disqualification.

Re: WWE 2012: Reboot

Smackdown!
January 10th 2012 (Aired January 13th, 2012)

WWE Champion: CM Punk
World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Champion: Cody Rhodes
United States Champion: Jack Swagger
Tag Team Champions: Kofi Kingston and Brodus Clay
Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

First Match: Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio. Ricardo Rodriguez introduces Del Rio, who comes out first and talks about being the one to injure Rey and how Rey doesn’t stand a chance. Rey comes out to a massive pop, and as the match starts, Sin Cara comes out onto the ramp and just watches the match, intently. Rey tries to ground the much larger Del Rio, but can’t seem to escape his vicious kicks. Rey is finally able to duck a big boot, and slide underneath Del Rio. He attempts a hurricanrana, which Del Rio is able to stop, and turn into a powerbo- no! Roll up by Mysterio, but a kick out. Sin Cara starts to walk to toward the ring. He slides in and seems to be sizing up Mysterio, who is slow to get up after being grounded by Del Rio for most of the match. Del Rio’s assistant Ricardo Rodriguez yells to Alberto, who grabs Sin Cara and tosses him to the floor. Rey hits Del Rio in the back with a drop kick, and Del Rio falls with his chest on the second rope (Funny how that only happens in Rey’s matches, huh?) Mysterio hits the 6-1-9 and pins Del Rio. Sin Cara is up and watches as Rey’s hand is raised by the ref.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

Backstage segment: Mason Ryan is shown in the back, lacing his boots. He looks angry. He’s lost two weeks in a row because of stupid mistakes. No more mistakes, can’t give up any more ground. Smackdown! cuts to commercial.

Second Match: Royal Rumble Qualifier: Mason Ryan vs Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson is mad that Ryan cost him a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship. Ryan is mad enough at himself; he doesn’t do his normal entrance, just walking down the ramp in silence. The two stand nose to nose, Jackson pushes Ryan, and Ryan smiles. It’s not a normal chuckle, but a menacing smirk. Ryan starts to hit Jackson with such force, even the ref cringes with every blow. Ryan drops Jackson with a strong clothes line. He then picks Jackson up and gives him a belly-to-belly slam, and nails his finisher, The Full Nelson Slam. The Ref raises the arm of the lifeless Jackson three times, and calls for the bell. Mason Ryan has left Ezekiel Jackson unconscious in the middle of the ring!
Winner: Mason Ryan by knockout

Backstage Segment: Daniel Bryan is sitting in a chair in Teddy’s office with AJ standing behind him, when Aksana walks in. Teddy is not far behind. “What are you doin’ here playa?” asks Teddy.
“Listen, Tedward, I don’t want to face Mark Henry at the Royal Rumble. He’s a big oaf who hasn’t proven anything. He’s the World’s Dumbest Anima-“ (in walks Henry, with a scowl on his face) “llll….ovely man. He is really great. Personally, I’m a huge fan.”
Henry isn’t happy. He wants a piece of Bryan, tonight! Bryan suggests “a nice little game of chess, or checkers? I’m also a big fan of battleship!” Henry thinks a no-DQ match would be a better idea. Teddy thinks it is a great idea, but Bryan isn’t sold. “If I am going to do this, and I beat you, you have to give up your number one contendership!” Henry agrees, because he’s going to play twister with Bryan and leave him in scraps in the ring. The camera shows a close-up of Bryan as he swallows hard and looks scared for his life. He’s angered the World’s Strongest Man.

Third Match: Jey Uso (with Jimmy Uso) vs Epico (with Primo and Rosa Mendes). These two teams duked it out on Raw for the Number One Contendership, and tonight is a grudge match. The Usos got cheated, and Jimmy decides to make sure Primo and Rosa can’t get involved, chasing them up the ramp with a chair. Jey takes the match to Epico, who has a hard time even standing before being drilled by Jey. Epico is able to duck a forearm and hit a double kneed back breaker on Jey, as both lay on their backs. Jimmy cheers on his brother, but Epico is able to get up first. He picks up Jey and goes for a tilt-a-whirl ddt.
“I spit in the face, of people who don’t want to be cool!” Carlito comes down the ramp, apple in hand. The crowd is in shock. Epico, Primo, and Carlito are all cousins, and Booker wonders why Carlito would come down while Epico is in charge of the match. Carlito hops in the ring, and goes to hug his cousin. Epico looks confused. Why is Carlito here, and what does he want? As Carlito and Epico end their embrace, Jey nails Epico with a super kick, and pins him. Carlito smiles as Epico confronts him. Carlito spits his apple in his face, and exits the ring, with the Usos following close behind.
Winner: Jey Uso

Backstage, Kofi and Brodus Clay are watching the show on a monitor, when Teddy walks by. Clay calls out to him, and Teddy comes over to meet the WWE’s newest superstar. Long is impressed with Brodus’s size, and his, um, gimmick. “So you’re a… dinosaur?” “Naw man! I’m a Funk-A-Saurus! And these two ladies are my Funkadactyls, Cameron and Naomi. I’m just a fun lovin’ guy, but in the ring, I’m a monster. I can beat anyone.” Teddy seems to get a kick out of Clay’s originality. He asks if they would like a match that night, and Kofi and Clay jump at the idea. Teddy says to give him a little time to find some opponents.

Fourth Match: Sheamus vs Alex Riley. Sheamus is starting to get over as a good guy, and Riley needs some heat. He carries Santino’s Cobra with him to the ring, and tucks it into his tights as the match starts. Sheamus pushes Riley around, who keeps trying to finish the match quickly with a cutter. Riley is dead serious thinking he can beat The Great White. He finally grounds Sheamus and starts to stomp him. He has him facedown and locks on a headlock. Sheamus tries to feign passing out, but Riley has it on tight. Santino pops out from under the ring, and stands behind Riley. Marella holds a finger to his mouth, telling the ref to not mention that he is there. He slowly puts his hands around Riley’s waist, and tries to go after the Cobra. Riley is focused on Sheamus and the headlock. Sheamus is finally able to stand and pushes Riley into the corner, the only problem is that Santino is behind Riley and gets crushed. Sheamus nails an Irish Cross and a Brogue Kick, to beat Riley. Then he rips the Cobra out of Riley’s tights and gives it to an obviously relieved (and disgusted) Santino.
Winner: Sheamus

In Ring Segment: After a commercial break, Riley is in the ring. He’s still disgusted by the goofy things he sees every week on WWE TV. He wants revenge on Santino and demands a match with him at the Royal Rumble! He’s giving Santino one week to decide.

Backstage Segment: Santino is in the laundry room washing Cobra by hand. He has several different kinds of cleaners, and is wearing rubber gloves and holding Cobra with tongs.

Backstage Segment: Teddy Long has Wade Barrett and William Regal in his office. The two English Superstars will be teaming to take on Kofi Kingston and Brodus Clay. Regal and Barrett both nod. They need this opportunity. They have both been struggling. Teddy is giving two heels a chance to beat the WWE Tag Team champions. Barrett and Regal walk out of Teddy’s office, and start to strategize as they walk towards the ring.

Fifth Match: Kofi Kingston and Brodus Clay vs. William Regal and Wade Barrett. The Funk-a-Saurus does his full entrance, complete with dance number, while Regal and Barrett come to the ring with a much more serious tone. Regal and Kofi start, and Regal keeps the high flyer off his feet. Barrett tags in, and is able to do some dominating moves to the much smaller Kingston. Barrett drops Kofi with a gorilla press slam, and goes to tag Regal, but Kofi landed on his feet behind Barrett and is able to nail Barrett with a drop kick and tags in the Funky fresh Clay. Clay cleans house, and focuses on Barrett. He does an array of suplexes on the former Intercontinental Champ and leaves him in the center of the ring going to tag in Kingston to finish off the British team. Barrett catches Kofi attempting a Thunder-in-Paradise, and Kofi gets laid out with a body slam. Barrett tags in Regal who works over Kingston and nails a Regalplex. The bridging pin is being counted when Clay breaks up the count. Clay and Barrett rumble down onto the floor and Regal takes his eyes off Kofi to watch Barrett and Clay pummel each other. Kofi lines up Regal for the Thunder in Paradise. Regal catches Kofi’s leg on the enziguri, and is able to slam him on his back, do a front flip and locks on a hooked legged bridge pin.
Winner: Wade Barrett and William Regal

Sixth Match: Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry in a No-DQ match. IF Henry loses, he relinquishes his Number One Contendership. Henry comes out with a chair in hand. Bryan comes to the ring with the title and a baseball bat. The match starts when Bryan convinces Henry to throw his chair to the floor, and then attacks him with the baseball bat. He starts to scream “Yes!” with every blow. It takes 5 or 6 blows to get Henry to one knee, and another 2 to get him on the ground. Bryan tosses the bat to the side, and goes for a pin. Kick out at one. Immediately, Bryan attempts another pin and Henry doesn’t even allow the ref a count. Henry works his way back into the match, and Bryan is finding out just how strong the Worlds Strongest Man is. Henry is tossing Bryan around like a rag doll, and Bryan stands no chance. Henry chokes Bryan with the bat, and hits him with a chair across the back. Bryan is able to duck another chair shot, and kicks Henry repeatedly and finally gets him onto his knees again. Bryan grabs Herny’s arm and goes for the Labell lock, but Henry is too large. Bryan grabs another chair and hits Henry straight in the head twice with it. Henry is out. Bryan tries to flip him onto his back, but he is too large. Bryan backs to the ropes, and starts to measure up Henry, trying to figure out how to pin him or make him tap. The lights go out, and Big Show and Kane appear in the ring. Kane choke slams Daniel Bryan and Big Show nails Henry with a WMD. Henry falls on top of Bryan. The ref makes the pin, even though both are unconscious.
Winner: Mark Henry

In-ring segment: Big Show grabs a mic and tells everyone, that the New Ministry will decide who will win what match, and will continue to inflict their will on the WWE Universe. Bryan is told the result by the ref. He grabs his title and groggily stares at Kane and Big Show. Bryan wants no part of this stable, but they want his gold as Smackdown! goes off the air.
