Default Re: It Begins: WWE 2012

I am going to go with Hunico vs Seth Rollins.

As for Raw, the show was too short, I didnt feel that it was a 2 hour show. The matches were great and you had some nice storyline developments. Laurinatis in the Royal Rumble should be interesting and by putting him in the match Shane immediately reassures himself as the babyface.

I didnt like two segments. I didnt like how you continued Miz vs R-Truth tonight, as it took a way too cartoonish turn. Secondly, the exchange between Del Rio and HHH had potential however it was too rushed and lack detail. You should try to extend your promos, so that your lines sink in better and be more realistic.

Brodus Clay was nice. Not sure about his first line though. Way overused by Orton and Del Rio for another superstar to start using it.

Bobby Lashley debuts. I liked it, however, and this can be said for the entire show, you need to pace it a little bit better, so that things like Lashley debuting have a bigger and better effect.

Default Re: It Begins: WWE 2012

“Satellite” plays throughout the arena as Shakedown gets ready to start.

Josh Matthews: Welcome to WWE Shakedown, my name is Josh Matthews and alongside me is Matt Striker and we have an epic show for you here tonight.

Matt Striker: Thank you Josh, tonight we are going to have four amazing match ups that will well and truly set up some of these youngsters in their careers here in the WWE.

Josh Matthews: We will see in action later tonight Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks taking on the impressive tag team of former NXT Rookies Titus O’Neil and Percy Watson.

Matt Striker: Mason Ryan and Johnny Curtis also will be competing one on one with each other after both suffered losses last week on RAW these two will be looking to get back into the winners circle.

Josh Matthews: Last week on Superstars we saw Derrick Bateman and Trent Baretta come together to form a new tag team this week we will see them in action against the Darren Young and JTG in what will surely be a high flying thrilling match.

Matt Striker: And for our viewer’s choice main event this week we will see one of these three matches.

The camera goes back stage to see the eight Superstars standing there waiting to hear the results later in the night.

Josh Matthews: Voting is still open so you can see in action either; Brodus Clay and David Otunga, new FCW Rookies team of Dean Ambrose and Antonio Cesaro facing the Uso’s or finally Hunico and Seth Rollins competing one on one against one another. We will find out the results of this poll to see who gets the chance to impress later on tonight.

Matt Striker: But right now we have the chance for our first match.

“In the Middle of it Now” starts to play around the arena as the team of Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins make their way to the ring.

“Headin’ Right Back” also plays over the arena and Titus O’Neil and Percy Watson go down into the ring.

Match Number One: Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks versus Titus O’Neil and Percy Watson

Titus goes for Clash of the Titus but Hawkins breaks it up and all four men get in the ring and while the referee deals with Watson, Reks and Hawkins hit a power slam and neck breaker combination on Titus for the three count.

Winners: Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins

Josh Matthews: An impressive first up victory for Hawkins and Reks here tonight. These two have been doing some dirty work for the Miz lately backstage but it’s good to see them get it done in the ring also.

Matt Striker: This young team could really take a positive step in the right direction if they can continue to knock off their opponents and by helping out the Miz on RAW it can only benefit them in the long run.

Josh Matthews: Let’s head backstage quickly were Scott Stanford is standing by with two men who are looking to break out in the tag division themselves, Tyson Kidd and Heath Slater.

The camera goes backstage as we see the team of Heath Slater and Tyson Kidd standing around Scott Stanford with the microphone in hand.

Scott Stanford: Thanks Josh, next to me I have another impressive young tag team of Heath Slater and Tyson Kidd, who this week will not be competing in tag team action but instead be competing in the Hardcore title tournament on Smackdown. Heath you will be facing your nemesis in Justin Gabriel and Tyson you face off with Ezekiel Jackson. So you both have the chance to really step it up and go for some singles gold over on Smackdown.

Heath Slater: I’ll stop you right there Scott, this is exactly what people shouldn’t be thinking about the two of us. Stepping up is something that we always do and nobody takes any notice. What is the difference if we do it again; we know that nobody will notice.

Tyson Kidd: We have been here in this business for a while now and know what it takes to be competitive week in week out but we also know that because we are smaller than a lot of other competitors people just see us a speed hump on their road. This really pisses us off, we work harder than anyone here in the WWE to perfect our move set and ever since we decided to form this tag team we have been able to help one another in developing our game further than what it was at. I have taught Heath how to deliver and lock in a perfect Sharp Shooter. Heath has taught me many different ways to land a DDT.

Heath Slater: In the end we will be the most faultless team here in the WWE and nobody will know what to do in order to beat us. We will be more technically sound than everyone, we will be quicker than everyone and not to mention we will be impeccable that we do in and out of the ring. We will become the face of the WWE and by doing this together there is no way that someone will stop us.

Together: Because we are the most untainted, perfect, excellent team in the WWE and that is why we are Faultless.

As we come back to the ring “Here and Now or Never” plays over the speakers and Mason Ryan makes his way down the ramp into the ring.

This is followed by “I Told You So” and Johnny Curtis gets out on the stage and down to the ring.

Match Number Two: Mason Ryan vs. Johnny Curtis

Curtis releases the hold and then goes up top but Ryan punches Curtis. Ryan looks to hit a top rope power slam but he loses his footing as he gets to the top rope. Both men are sitting on the top rope facing each other. Johnny Curtis delivers a tornado DDT off the turnbuckle. Ryan is laying prone in the centre of the ring as Curtis climbs the turnbuckle to the top rope and delivers a massive Maine Jam. Curtis goes for the cover and gets the win.

Winner: Johnny Curtis

Josh Matthews: A huge upset win for Johnny Curtis right there over Mason Ryan.

Matt Striker: I didn’t expect to see Johnny Curtis to pick up the win here tonight over the powerhouse that is Mason Ryan. But the NXT winner looks to be very impressed with that victory.

Josh Matthews
: Johnny Curtis was very impressive that for sure but the real test will be to see if he can do this week in week out here in the WWE.

Matt Striker: I think Johnny has what it takes to make it in the WWE we saw that NXT and we saw it here tonight so I think he will be a big time player in the future.

Josh Matthews: I guess we’ll just to wait and see to find out.

A preview clip for the Royal Rumble is shown going through past rumbles and setting up this year’s rumble itself.

“Gasoline Upcharge” comes on throughout the arena as the team of Derrick Bateman and Trent Baretta make their way to the ring.

Matt Striker: I like these two kids the really should stick at it and you never know what could happen.

Josh Matthews: Can you imagine these two facing off with Air Boom, that would be one exciting match right there.

Matt Striker: Not wrong I would love to see that match sometime in the future. But right now it’s that time of the night again where we see what will be our main event. Let’s head backstage to Scott Stanford who is standing by.

Matt Striker: This kid has talent and how about this Cesaro he seems to know what he is doing out there in the ring. It looks like these two could very well be future main eventers here in the WWE.

Josh Matthews: I seriously think they will be, given time they will be at the top of the WWE. It looks like the tag division is really going to get a big step up in the next few weeks with all these new teams performing so well. And they’re all gunning for the champs in Air Boom so that should be very interesting.

Matt Striker: Air Boom will be hearing all these doors being knocked on they wouldn’t want to make a mistake anytime soon or they may no longer get to be champs.

Smackdown Preview

Hardocre Title Tournament First Round Matches

Last week on Smackdown, New General Manager Stephanie McMahon announced that the prestigious Hardcore Championship will be making it's return to the Smackdown locker room in a brand exclusive title. Last week we saw Hunico defeat Jinder Mahal to advance into the next round. On this weeks edition of Smackdown we will see the final three qualifying matches. Will Justin Gabriel manage to get past his former friend and former tag team partner or will Heath Slater be able to stop the Cape Town flyer. The winner of this match will face Hunico. Ezekiel Jackson defeated Wade Barrett last week on Smackdown due to some mysterious lighting to say the least this week he faces off with Tyson Kidd who definitely has the speed advantage so will it be size or speed to prevail. Our final Hardcore Title Tournament Qualifying match features "The Chosen One" Drew McIntyre and "The Rising Sun" Yoshi Tatsu in what will surely be an interesting and intense match up. In an interesting side note the eight competitors that were placed in the tournament to begin with all hail from different countries and the pride of their nations rest on their shoulders.

Xavier Woods to debut

Last week we saw Booker T announce his retirement from in ring and commentary duties in the WWE. By doing this it allows him to focus on bringing up young talent Xavier Woods. Booker seems to have thrown Xavier into the deep end to start with setting up a match against Booker's final opponent the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. A very tough debut indeed for this new talent.

Barrett facing his fears

Last week we saw Wade Barrett lose to Ezekiel Jackson in what appeared to be some serious mistakes from the lighting department. Wade Barrett this week gets to face off against the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan, in what will be a chance for the two former NXT Rookies to get one over on each other in what will be the champ's first match of the year.

Divas Tag Action

Last week on Raw we saw Tamina win a 10 diva battle royal to become the number one contender for Beth Phoenix's WWE Diva's Championship. This week Tamina will team with Alicia Fox to take on the Diva's of Doom in Natalya and Beth Phoenix in what will surely be a great tag match.

Number One Contender to be Sorted Out

Last week our number one contender match between the Big Show and Mark Henry was interrupted by Batista and Sheamus the match was ruled a no contest. This prompted our new General Manager, Stephanie McMahon to come out and announce that this week it will be a no DQ, no Count Out Match featuring all four of Batista, Sheamus, Big Show and Mark Henry, to once and for all determine who is the number one contender for Daniel Bryan's World Heavyweight Championship

Confirmed Matchups

Drew McIntyre vs Yoshi Tatsu
Tyson Kidd vs Ezekiel Jackson
Justin Gabriel vs Heath Slater
Tamina and Alicia Fox vs Natalya and Beth Phoenix

Winner: Justin Gabriel

Michael Cole: An impressive win for Justin Gabriel as he moves forward into the semi-finals of the Hardcore Title Tournament. In the next round he faces Hunico in what will definitely be a high flying match.

Josh Matthews: Justin Gabriel was very competitive here tonight and beat his former friend and tag partner Heath Slater with that devastating 450 splash.

Michael Cole: Well these two know each other’s games so well that it was surprising that Slater couldn’t see that coming.

Josh Matthews: Maybe he could but he couldn’t react in time.

Michael Cole: Well whatever the case Justin Gabriel will be going through to the semis of the Hardcore Title Tournament. Let’s head backstage to Scott Stanford who’s standing by with the Barrett Barrage, Wade Barrett.

We go backstage to see Scott Stanford standing along with Wade Barrett.

Scott Stanford: Standing alongside me is Wade Barrett who tonight gets to face the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan. Now Wade you have Bryan a few times and got the victory more times than not why is tonight going to go your way.

Wade Barrett: Scott, Daniel Bryan may be the World Heavyweight Champion I’m not going to deny that but you see Daniel Bryan will not be able to avoid the Barrett Barrage tonight. Once I hit Wasteland it will all be over and people will realise that come the Royal Rumble I will be the one guaranteed a spot in the main event at Wrestlemania because I will be the last man left standing in the ring.

Scott Stanford: Well that’s all well and good Wade, but what I and everyone else wants to know is last week. The lights and pyro went off last week and you appeared to be quite scared of the dark.

Wade Barrett: Scott, I wasn’t scared of the dark around the arena it was more of the need to get out of the ring. I have beaten Ezekiel Jackson many of times I didn’t need to beat him again.

Scott Stanford: If that was the case why did you run back into the ring after the pyro techniques went off.

Wade Barrett: You see Scott when you see the pyro’s go off like that it can be really dangerous, it could be a fire hazard. So I made it back to the ring to avoid getting burnt.

Scott Stanford: Well if that’s what you say Wade.

Wade Barrett: You know what Scott, I don’t care what you think and in order to avoid it happening again this week I have asked my friend Jinder Mahal to stay in the production truck all night to ensure there is no more accidents like last week.

Scott Stanford: So in order to prevent yourself from getting scared you have got Jinder Mahal sitting in the truck all night.

Wade Barrett: He will do what I tell him to do and this match is a lot bigger than last week’s match. I will be winning this match no matter what the cost and what happens.

Wade Barrett leaves Scott Stanford standing there in front of the camera.

Scott Stanford: Looks like Barrett might have gone a bit nuts after what happened last week.

Seth Rollins: Well you know Scott, the future that’s an interesting proposition for me here in the WWE the future is bright and let me tell you why. See a lot of people believe in fate, they believe in destiny, they believe in great determination, they believe a path has been laid out before them and that they must follow that path. Michael Cole: Tamina could be a little disappointed in that but at least she didn’t get pinned.

Josh Matthews: Well in just over two weeks she gets her chance to fight at the Rumble for the title so she better lift her game or it’s all over for her.

Michael Cole: Well speaking of the Royal Rumble let’s have a look at what excitement we have installed for you.

Josh Matthews: Xavier Woods can take a lot away from his debut and I’m sure Booker T will help Xavier look back on it and help him develop.

Michael Cole: He looks to be another exciting prospect that has made the transition to the WWE from the FCW in recent weeks.

Josh Matthews: And their all on Smackdown so that can only be good for the kids to be working together as well as with the likes of Big Show, Sheamus and Batista.

Michael Cole: With the likes of Seth Rollins, Xavier Woods, Dean Ambrose and Antonio Cesaro fighting week in week out here on Smackdown it could help the other youngsters down in Florida improve to one day make it to the big time.

Josh Matthews: Not wrong Cole. Let’s head backstage once more were Wade Barrett is with Jinder Mahal.

We go into the garage with Wade Barrett holding a chair and a camera in hand as he walks with Jinder Mahal towards the production truck.

Result: No Contest

Christian: Stephanie, o Stephanie. You seem to have forgotten someone in this little number one Contendership competition for the World Heavyweight Title. I was the World Heavyweight Champion less than a year ago. If it wasn’t for my injury I would be the champ not Daniel Bryan. So I demand you put me into this match right now and then everything will be all sorted.

“All Grown Up” plays as Stephanie McMahon comes out onto the stage.

Stephanie McMahon: Christian, I hear you loud and clear but you aren’t medically cleared to compete yet until next week. So technically I can’t put you in this match right now. So what’s going to happen is this. I’m sick of all these interferences and no contests in my number one contender matches. So next week there will five matches one featuring Sheamus, another Batista, another Mark Henry, one more with the Big Show and finally one for you Christian. These five matches will be beat the clock matches where the person who can win in the fastest time will face Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble and if anyone gets involved in these matches they will be suspended indefinitely. Now do I make myself clear?

Christian starts clapping in the middle of the ring as Smackdown goes off the air.

Smackdown Feedback

Returning the review you gace me, thanks for that.

Hardcore title coming back could be a good thing if you build it properly and it does appear you are going to as you’ve given a lot of time to it tonight with these qualifiers. Tyson Kidd and Heath Slater, I don’t know the relationship, are they a team? I expected Kidd to get the win with a helping hand but Zeke progressing isn’t a bad move, hardcore matches would certainly suit a man of his size, could be lethal. One thing I will say is that there was nothing hardcore about the match? If it’s a Hardcore title qualifier, surely it’s a Hardcore match?

Teddy joining forces with Young and JTG isn’t a bad call. The interaction with Steph wasn’t great though. Steph announcing they’d get a match next week and Teddy then instantly saying she has it in for him, when she’s given him what he wanted lol. Didn’t make much sense. I am intrigued who they’ll be facing though.

Again, same thing here. Hardcore title qualifier and there was nothing hardcore involved. Slater vs. Gabriel has a decent backstory to it and it was a better match than Kidd/Jackson so well done with that but would’ve liked a bit more. Also, I know Kidd competed earlier but thought maybe he could’ve accompanied Slater like Slater did for him.

The Barrett intervie wasn’t bad, much better than the Steph/Teddy interaction. Should be a good match later.

Good win for Drew as anticipated and hopefully he does well in this tournament. Again, nothing hardcore, I’m guessing there won’t be til the final itself.

Not bad from Rollins here, good to see he and Ambrose called up. Would’ve liked to hear a bit more but you were on the right track with him.

Decent women’s contest. Divas of Destruction should get the win all day, every day over those two.

Another fairly good contest here. Xavier Woods, another FCW call up. I like that you’ve brought a few of these guys straight in. Wouldn’t expect him to beat Cody but a good showing from him. Woods and Booker partnership is a nice touch.

Barrett and Mahal was a bit short but I suppose it did its job. The match wasn’t bad and I expected Mahal’s hawkeye not to work and low and behold, it didn’t. Good storyline progression here and a nice win for Bryan.

Pretty good main event with the big guns of Smackdown all on display. Christian returning was nice to see although there were a couple of returns last week, maybe space them out a bit. Beat the Clock challenge should be good next week.

Overall, there’s a lot to work on. First off, need more promos and longer ones. We didn’t hear at all from any of the guys in the main event during the show and why they felt they were gonna win. Barrett’s little storyline was the highlight for me but needs a little bit more to it. The Hardcore title tournament is a good idea and it’s nice to see you showcasing some of the lesser stars but would like to see the hardcore element to it. Also, the colour for promos isn’t the best, maybe change it up, although it might just be my eye sight. You’ve got some good ideas but keep reading other threads and keep looking to improve and I’m sure you will, I’ll keep reading.

Default Re: It Begins: WWE 2012

thanks for the comments glad you're enjoying the show. i will take what you have written into advisement for my future shows.

RAW Preview

Lashley returns to in ring Action

Following last week's attack on John Cena following his victory over Alex Riley last week, General Manager Shane McMahon has booked the match between these two fierce competitors in what will surely by a stellar main event. Lashley isn't the only thing on Cena's mind with still the presence of Kane haunting him week in week out.

US Title Match

The US Title will be defended for the first time in 2012 with current Champion, Zack Ryder facing the massive challenge of not one but three opponents. He lines up and looks to defend his title against the diminutive Big Red Machine, Kane, the Leader of the Di Biase Posse, Ted Di Biase as well as the Mastodon of Mayhem, Brodus Clay. In what will be a huge match for all involved.

Straight Edge vs All American American

Following last week's main event where CM Punk pinned Jack Swagger this week the two competitors will face off one on one in what will surely be a big match up for both leading into the Royal Rumble. Swagger would love to build momentum towards the Royal Rumble match whilst CM Punk will defend his WWE Title against Swagger's ally Dolph Ziggler. Momentum can be a big thing for both involved in this match.

Boom Boom or the Showoff

The two other men involved in last week's main event will open RAW up with what will be a very interesting match up. The contrasting styles of Cabana and Ziggler will surely be amazing to watch. Like Swagger and Punk these two men have big matches at the Rumble and a loss here on RAW could really harm there chances of winning come the Rumble.

One on One Competition for Tag Team Rivals

Last week we saw Kofi Kingston and Primo represent their respective teams but this week we will see their partners face off against one another with Evan Bourne and Epico going one on one with what should be a high flying entertaining match that everyone will enjoy. Air Boom need to start winning or the titles could be heading to Epico and Primo after they have held the titles for a long time.

Diva Tag Action

Since Vince McMahon made the announcement that their will be more exposure of the Divas the likes of Tamina and Natalya have really stepped up. On RAW this week we will see the team of Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres will face off with the Bella Twins who will be looking at making best use of their twin magic to get the victory.

Truth and Miz finally get in the ring

Over the last few weeks the Miz has found some allies in the form of Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks, now that the Miz has been medically cleared to compete following a brutal attack from R Truth three weeks back we will finally see the pair in action. But it won't be one one one no, instead it will be a six man tag match. The team of the Miz, Hawkins and Reks will face off with R Truth and two partners of his choice.

Confirmed Matches

Main Event

Bobby Lashley vs John Cena

US Title - Fatal Four Way Elimination Match
Brodus Clay vs Kane vs Ted DiBiase vs Zack Ryder (c)

CM Punk vs Jack Swagger

Dolph Ziggler vs Colt Cabana

Evan Bourne w/ Kofi Kingston vs Epico w/Primo and Rosa Mendes

Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres vs The Bella Twins

Six Man Tag Match
The Miz, Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks vs R Truth, ??? and ???

Default Re: It Begins: WWE 2012

I enjoyed all matches more this week. I noticed since last show that your matches have been improving. I do think some of them could use being longer, as for example Wade vs Bryan, but since it is a weekly show you can pull it off that way. I did notice that the hardcore qualifiers haven't been hardcore but like the previous reviewer said, I assume it is being saved for the actual finale of the tournament.

There was something really odd about the exchange between Teddy and Stephanie, can't really say what, but something was really off in this one.

I liked Wade Barret's promo. This should be a blueprint on how to do your other ones. This one could use more detail but it was your best in the show. His second interaction with Jinder Mahal was satisfying as it got the point across altough Ithink Jinder was a little out of character.

Likewise for your Rollins promo. This one was short but it was really effective. I might be wrong but I see a deep, dark character for him, akin to his AOTF persona, WWEiefied lol.

I didnt expect a clean ending in the main event, but didnt see the beat the clock challenge coming back. In any way, you have already since now built your Elimination Chamber match for the next PPV.

One thing I wanted to point out is how you acknowledge FCW. Not sure about that, I mean, not that it isnt wrong, but I am not sure about WWE talking openly about a development center for their stars. A simple "new talent initiative" would/could suffice.

Default Re: It Begins: WWE 2012

“Burn It To the Ground” begins to play as the pyro for RAW goes off around the arena as RAW comes to air.

“No Chance in Hell” starts to play around the arena to start the show off with Vince McMahon making his way to the ring to a loud reception from the crowd.

Vince McMahon: Welcome to Monday Night Raw, two weeks ago I made some big decisions regarding the WWE and one of those was the interbranded PPV matches that will be featuring. Of course At the Royal Rumble in two weeks’ time we will have the Royal Rumble match itself as an interbranded match.

The crowd cheer at the Royal Rumble.

Vince McMahon: We will also be having the WWE Divas Championship match featuring RAW’s Champion, Beth Phoenix going up against Smackdown’s Tamina.

The crowd cheer at the mention of the Diva’s Match.

Vince McMahon: That is not all though. In a special match the WWE United States Champion will represent RAW and will be facing the WWE Intercontinental Champion that represents Smackdown.

The crowd cheer after this announcement.

Vince McMahon
: So tonight the United States Title Match will also be for the chance to represent RAW at the Royal Rumble.

“Radio” starts to play on the sound system as United States Champion, Zack Ryder comes out on the stage to a loud reception from the crowd.

Vince McMahon: Now what the hell do you want?

Zack Ryder: So let me get this straight boss, you want me to go out and represent RAW at the Royal Rumble.

Vince McMahon: Listen here Zack, whoever is the WWE United States Champion come the time of the Royal Rumble will get to represent RAW in the interbranded match against Smackdown’s Intercontinental Champion, whoever that turns out to be, come the Royal Rumble.

Zack Ryder: Alright now that’s cool because the man from the Long Island will be the champ.

“Rip it Up” starts to play over the speaker and Brodus Clay makes his way to the ring.

Brodus Clay: Zack, you won’t be able to get to the Royal Rumble because I will have put you in a body bag after tonight when I take the WWE United States Title.

Zack Ryder: O, really Brodus, you’re gonna put me in a body bag. Well guess what they’re wouldn’t be a body bag that would be big enough to put you in they would just leave you here in this arena once all is said and done.

“I Come From Money” starts to play around the arena which brings Ted Di Biase out to the ring.

Ted Di Biase
: You know Brodus and Zack, you two can argue all you want all it takes is for one of you to turn your back and it will be history because I will hit Dream Street and I will be the new United States Champion and go onto the Royal Rumble to represent RAW.

As the three start getting into each other’s face a big pyro goes off on the stage which is followed by “Veil of Fire” playing through the speakers. Kane appears on stage and makes his way to the arena to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Kane: None of you three deserve to be the United States champion. I should be the one with the belt and I should be the one that represents RAW. Brodus you may be big but you’re fat plain and simple. Ted you haven’t won since coming back to RAW so how the hell are you even in this match. And finally, little Zack Ryder…

Vince McMahon: Alright that’s enough you four I’m sick of hearing you argue and bitch and moan about one another. This match is happening right now instead of later like it was going to be.

The crowd cheer in anticipation.

Vince McMahon: And to make it even better it will be a No – DQ elimination match so we get no funny business, understand. Let’s get a ref down here and get thing’s going.

Referee Rod Zapata runs down to the ring and slides in. He takes the title off Zack Ryder, gives it Justin Roberts and orders for the bell to ring.

Match Number One: Ted Di Biase versus Brodus Clay versus Zack Ryder versus Kane in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match for the United States Title match and represent RAW at the Royal Rumble against Smackdown’s Intercontinental Champion.

Jerry Lawler: Ryder proved to everyone here tonight that he can battle with the big guns of the WWE and this win will provide him a great step up in the WWE universe.

Michael Cole: Not wrong their King, Zack Ryder will be the man that represents RAW in what will be a huge match for the brand, come next Sunday.

Jerry Lawler: Well next Sunday at the Rumble in just thirteen days we will see WWE Champion CM Punk defend his title against Dolph Ziggler. Scott Stanford is backstage right now with the challenger.

We go backstage and see Stanford with no sight of Ziggler.

Scott Stanford: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guest at this time, Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler is shown doing push ups on the floor before finally standing up approaches Stanford.

Scott Stanford: Now Dolph, you earned you’re shot a few weeks back at the WWE Title in what turned out to be a no disqualification match. You lost that match in quite controversial circumstances what makes you think that at the Royal Rumble the result will be anything different.

Dolph Ziggler: Now Scott, it doesn’t matter what happened two weeks ago I get my shot in thirteen days and it will be as simple as what I just did with those push ups. The saying goes if you’ve got it flaunt it, and nobody has it more than I do and I am the best at flaunting it and the Rumble will be no different. I am a shining beacon for this country. We are in debt, the kids are all fat and nobody has an education. But you see Scott, I am the complete opposite of these stereotypes. I am a walking surplus. A surplus of talent, charisma, entertainment and everything I’ve ever wanted I have except for one thing Scott, and do you know what that one thing is Scott, it’s the WWE Championship. So whatever you do you will want to remember in two weeks’ time where you are because everyone will be asking where were you when Dolph Ziggler became the WWE Champion.

Dolph Ziggler walks off and looks to head to the ring as his music “Here to Show the World” begins to play around the arena. The crowd boo as he appears on stage accompanied by Vickie Guerrero.

“Cult of Personality” begins to play after this and Colt Cabana comes out onto the stage to a cheer from the audience.

Match Number Two: Dolph Ziggler vs. Colt Cabana

The bell rings, and Cabana and Ziggler jockey for position before Ziggler is able to take Cabana down to the mat. Ziggler locks in a side headlock, but Cabana is able to flip it over and catch Ziggler with a leg grapevine. Ziggler fights to the ropes and rolls to the outside. Back in the ring, Ziggler and Cabana are tentative again before Ziggler sweeps Cabana’s leg and is able to score a near fall. We get some more mat wrestling out of the two, and another submission attempt from Cabana leads to Dolph bailing from the ring again. Cabana follows out this time but Vickie blocks him, so Cabana climbs up to the apron and flies off with a huge knee. Back in the ring, Cabana scores with a big dropkick, but Ziggler rolls back to the outside, catches Cabana with a cheap shot, and comes back in the ring to take advantage. Ziggler kicks away at Cabana before laying in some punches and choking him against the middle rope. Ziggler goes for the pin but he only gets a two count. Ziggler locks in a head lock hold, but Cabana is able to fight up to his feet, and Ziggler modifies it to a rear chin lock. Ziggler tries to go for a neck breaker, but Cabana counters into a series of near falls that are good for a couple of two counts. Ziggler catches Cabana unaware with an inverted body slam for a two count. Ziggler locks in a rear chin lock, and grinds his forehead against Cabana’s. Cabana is able to fight to his feet, and starts to fight out of the hold, but Ziggler pulls him back down to the mat by his hair, before hitting a running, flipping neck breaker that’s good for another near fall. Ziggler pulls Cabana to his feet and taunts him, and Cabana responds with a big right to Ziggler’s side. Ziggler knocks him right back down before hitting a snap mare. Ziggler lays in a huge elbow drop but it’s still not enough for a three count. Ziggler locks in another submission, with a body scissors, but Cabana still won’t quit and escapes the hold. Cabana catches Ziggler with a big boot, but a flying kick attempt in the corner and Cabana eats nothing but turnbuckle, allowing for another near fall for Ziggler. Ziggler kicks at Cabana’s head before picking him up to his feet. Ziggler hits a beautiful fireman’s carry throw, but it’s still not enough to keep Cabana down. Ziggler locks in a body scissors and tries to lock in another submission. Cabana battles out of it with a big jawbreaker that stuns Ziggler. Ziggler misses a splash in the corner and Cabana comes back with a series of stiff kicks to Ziggler’s chest and leg. He even scores a kick to the face. Cabana avoids Ziggler in the corner with a big backflip before hitting a flying clothesline and a running knee that’s good for a two count. Cabana puts his head down and catches a kick to the chest, but he responds with one of his own that takes Ziggler off his feet. Cabana hits a springboard single leg dropkick but it’s only good for a two count. Ziggler tries to score a quick roll up but he can’t, so he scores a kick to Cabana’s head, but it’s still not enough. Ziggler tries for the Zig Zag, but Cabana holds on to the ropes. Cabana hits a buzzsaw kick to the side of Ziggler’s head, but Ziggler is still able to kick out at two. Cabana goes up top, but Ziggler is able to stop him. Ziggler tries for a superplex, but Cabana escapes through Ziggler’s leg and crotches him on the top instead. Cabana goes for a super back body suplex, but Ziggler reverses it into a splash and a pin for a two count. Cabana kicks out into a pin and he gets a two count. Ziggler locks in the sleeper but Cabana is right out of it. Both men hit cross body blocks, and both men are down. Both men get to their knees and fight it out, with Ziggler punching and Cabana hitting a big head butt. Back on their feet, Cabana hits a big kick to Ziggler’s chest, and Ziggler responds with a quick roll up. Both men trade near falls for a bit in an exciting exchange before Ziggler comes up with a rocker dropper out of nowhere. Ziggler goes for the pin but Cabana gets his foot on the ropes. Ziggler argues with the ref, but the ref won’t relent. Dolph goes for another sleeper, and is eventually able to lock it in, even though Cabana tries to fight it. Ziggler gets him down to the mat, but Cabana is able to make it to the ropes. Ziggler looks to be getting frustrated, and when he picks up Cabana, Cabana takes him right into the Reverse Boston Crab. Ziggler manages to flick himself out of the hold which sends Cabana into the post of thee turnbuckle. Cabana staggers out of the corner and is met by a Zig Zag as he is planted on the mat. Ziggler gets the pin for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Michael Cole: A very exciting performance from Dolph Ziggler here tonight. He took a big step towards his WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble.

Jerry Lawler: By defeating Punk’s best friend Ziggler will be full of confidence come the Royal Rumble and Punk will definitely have to be on his game come the title match.

Jerry Lawler: God I love the divas, how good was that to see these beautiful divas pick up the victory.

Michael Cole: That was very impressive indeed. But let’s go backstage where Shane McMahon has a special announcement regarding the Royal Rumble.

We go backstage where Shane McMahon is sitting behind his desk.

Shane McMahon: As we all know Vince McMahon allowed Stephanie and I to bring back three former WWE Superstars each. So following my first pick of Bobby Lashley, who we will see in the main event tonight, the other two superstars will be returning in the Royal Rumble Match. I have gotten confirmation from the WWE directors and learned that one will be entering at number 10 whilst the other will be coming down the ramp at 29. So once you witness the Royal Rumble you will see who I have chosen.

Epico runs up the turnbuckle and looks to hit a throw but Bourne holds onto the ropes and knocks Epico to the mat. Bourne takes the advantage and nails the Air Bourne for the win.

Winner: Evan Bourne

Michael Cole: Finally the tag champs get one up over Epico and Primo, even if it was just a singles match.

Jerry Lawler: It’s been some time coming that’s for sure. Come the Rumble they will have an intense battle going on over that gold.

Michael Cole: Speaking of the Royal Rumble let’s have a look at the matches confirmed for the big event in just thirteen days.

A promo is shown for the Royal Rumble which is followed by going backstage to where Bobby Lashley is standing with a microphone in hand.

Bobby Lashley: Following the first RAW of the year when it was announced that Shane would be taking back charge of RAW I received a phone call. That phone call was from Shane and he said that he wanted me next week on RAW. Once all the legal paperwork was sorted out and we had come to terms to our agreement, Shane said to me that he wanted me to make an impact with the first thing that I do upon my return to the WWE. So what bigger way to make an impact than by taking out the fan’s most favourite person. I decided that this was the sort of thing that would put me straight back into the headlines. Well it must of worked because in the main event tonight I will have my first match back in WWE against that man John Cena. Now I know the fans may not like me for what I did but I couldn’t care less about you. This is all about me making it to the top and what better way to do that by taking out the so called top dog in the WWE. It doesn’t matter what happens in the ring later on tonight because the fact of the matter is that “The Real Deal” is back and gunning for the gold.

Lashley walks off as we return to the ring with “Get On Your Knees” is playing around the arena as Jack Swagger makes his way to the ring.

Michael Cole: I hope Ziggler does win he is the future of this company and it’s about time we get rid of CM Punk as champ.

Jerry Lawler: You just don’t like Punk because he bagged you out a couple months back.

Michael Cole: No I think is a leader of a cult he is brainwashing everyone in order to live like he does. That is not what a role model like Dolph Ziggler would do.

Jerry Lawler: It doesn’t matter Cole he is the champ and come the Rumble I think he will leave still as the champ.

Michael Cole: I hope not. But back to RAW action and as we have seen over the last few weeks R Truth has been at the mercy of the Miz, Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. He is backstage with Scott Stanford before he gets his chance at revenge.

Scott Stanford: Thanks Cole, R Truth you haven’t had the best few weeks at the hands of the Miz and his little crew that he has assembled and tonight you get your chance for revenge who have you chosen to partner up with you?

R Truth: Scott, The Miz and his little minions will have to be on their a game tonight because I have brought in two guys who want to get revenge for what some of these guys have done to them in the past.

Scott Stanford: And who might that be Truth.

R Truth: Well if you be patient I can tell you that these two gentlemen have been teaming together for a while now and are looking to break through here in the WWE. I would tell you right now but I have to go our match is about to start.

R Truth walks off leaving a lot to be answered but as we head back to the ring we hear “I Came To Play” start around the arena as the team of The Miz, Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks come to the ring together.

Jerry Lawler: Well it seems like it was all in vain with Truth picking up the win with the help of Titus and Percy.

Michael Cole: After this final commercial break it will be time for our main event with John Cena facing off with Bobby Lashley in what will be an awesome match.
