Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

Raw Feedback

I read your last Raw so it made sense to kick this one off with Punk. Decent stuff from Punk to begin with, not too sure about the mention of Johnny Curtis in getting noticed though lol. Punk’s character is difficult to capture but I thought you did a pretty good job here. Trips was alright here but didn’t add an awful lot, Laurinaitis was probably more effective and the Punk line about bringing Trips back out cos he couldn’t understand him was typical Punk. Decent segment but it ended on a sour note, Tyler Reks? The fans are really meant to buy Tyler Reks being a test for the WWE Champion? Not a chance. Would’ve rather you gave him a stronger test to be honest. The match itself was as expected, comfortable Punk win so good job there.

Miz and Truth were a little bit off other than Miz’s really line. Punk was decent as ever and the attack was nicely done. Kofi making the save was a good choice and the tag match later should be a strong one.

Decent tag match here and glad to see the D.O.D building some momentum, keep that up.

Swagger interview was quite off also. The line about him being remembered was just really weird and confusing, if you read it back you might see it too. A Ryder/Swagger feud has potential but a little bit more work is needed on Swagger’s characterisation.

Nice contest again here and I like the way you’re having Ryder keep picking up wins from almost nowhere. It does a lot for him and it does a lot to further the feud also, giving Swagger a legitimate gripe.

Solid exchange here between Koztino and the Nexus rejects. It’s not the most exhilarating feud in the world on paper but at least you are doing something with them and with the tag titles.

Very good package for Brodus Clay here, excited by what you’ll do with him.

Cena was alright here, started off a little shaky but got better as he went along. Del Rio was ok too, I like the little uses of perro and his little words he throws in. Cena was better going up against someone than he was just speaking on his own, so maybe bare that in mind for the future. AA was a good move and keeps Cena very firmly in the title frame and in the mind of the champion. Only rela negative here would be that Cena’s coming out again fairly soon for the tag match.

Trips and Laurinaitis was fairly well done, keeps this storyline building nicely.

Interview with Vickie and Dolph was well done, probably the best in terms of character I’ve seen so far. Ziggler showing all his usual cockiness with Vickie being the annoying, whiny witch she is.

Mysterio/McIntyre was a good contest and was pleased you allowed McIntyre to hang in there for ten plus minutes. Ziggler coming out at the end was a nice touch and this feud is coming along very well right now.

Very interesting stuff with Morrison here. I’m guessing he’s headed to Smackdown but we shall see.

Nothing special here but did the job and a nice cheap win for Otunga heading into the clash at Night of Champions. Wouldn’t expect them to take the gold but a win here does wonders for he and McGillicutty.

Pretty strong main event as expected to be honest and knew the ending wouldn’t be clean. Right call to be honest. The ending was nice with the faces getting the better of the heels and Cena looking strong only for Del Rio’s antics after the match to put that out the window. This was to be expected but still done the trick in adding all the more heat to him and his reign right now, which he needs. Punk storming down, again was expected but the right call.

Major announcement for Night of Champions and yeah it’ll be a great match but I’m not sure it’s the right one. Kofi is the main issue for me as he really hasn’t done a whole lot to force his way into all this. Miz and Truth are in the same boat but to a lesser extent. Would’ve preferred maybe Del Rio/Cena/Punk here and Kofi and a partner vs. Awesome Truth or even Del Rio/Punk and a rematch of Cena/Kofi vs. Awesome Truth. Still, huge main event now set.

On the whole I think it was a decent show. Your characterisation needs work but that’ll come, just keep reading guys like Wolfy, Legend etc. The matches were ok and most storylines were on point. The most simple is Mysterio/Ziggler, yet that’s probably the highlight for me as it was well done throughout. I’d say look at that and then take it into your other feuds. Keep it going.

A big thank you to Starbuck for the Smackdown and Raw show banners!

Friday Night Smackdown Preview

August 26, 2011
Jefferson Convention Centre ~ Birmingham, Alabama

This week, Friday Night Smackdown comes to you from the Jefferson Convention Centre in Birmingham, Alabama, in front of over 17,000 members of the WWE Universe! Tonight, Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long has told us that he has a blockbuster announcement regarding his plans for the World Heavyweight Championship currently held by Randy Orton come Night of Champions in just over three weeks time! What Mr Long has in store no one but he knows, but he has informed us all that tonight we will find out who the champion going into Buffalo will be. Randy Orton is set to defend the title tonight against the man that he has battled for the gold with throughout the entire summer, "Captain Charisma" Christian. Christian won the title for the first time back in May, but lost it to Orton only 5 days later. Since then, the two ring warriors have fought tooth and nail over the coveted belt and many thought this storied rivalry was over when Orton defeated Christian in a No Holds Barred Match at Summerslam less than two weeks away. However, there is an extra twist for tonight's title match, as due to the events of last week on Smackdown, the championship will be defended under FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE RULES! The events which prompted Mr Long to make this decision was when Orton delivered a devastating RKO onto the roof of a car last week after Christian was about to lay his hands on the General Manager following a disagreement. These two men will definitely leave it all in not just the ring, but the entire arena tonight in Birmingham, but who will walk into Night of Champions with the World Heavyweight Championship?

Two other men that have been having an extremely physical war as of late is "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry and "The Celtic Warrior" and former WWE Champion Sheamus. The two behemoths collided at Summerslam, with Henry coming out victorious, despite the win being due to count out after Henry ploughed Sheamus through the ring barrier. In the main event of Smackdown last week, the two met in a 'rematch', which was fought to a double count out, but the lasting image that will be engraved in the WWE Universe's brains is of Henry standing tall over his adversary after delivering an emphatic World's Strongest Slam through the broadcast announce table. The devastating move has left Sheamus with severely bruised ribs, and has rendered him unable to compete in Birmingham tonight. But we have been informed that he will be in attendance and has requested some time to address his current condition and Mark Henry. The "World's Strongest Man" will also be in the JCC tonight. There is still a lot of business to settle between the two titans, and tonight we may see some important developments in this story.

We also know that there will be a very important guest on Smackdown tonight, that being the COO of the WWE, Triple H. Since taking his position of office, "The Game" has scarcely appeared on the blue brand, but we understand that he is here tonight strictly on WWE Board of Directors business tonight. What this entails we do not know, as there has been a big urge to hush any possible rumours regarding the nature of Triple H's appearance tonight. Make sure to tune into Smackdown to find out what the important business is.

We will also see some Diva action tonight on Smackdown, and it is the Divas Champion, Kelly Kelly that will be competing. Her opponent? Look no further than one half of the Divas of Doom, Natalya. The two Divas were involved in tag team action on Raw this past Monday, with the champion being on the receiving end of a Glam Slam from Natalya's partner Beth Phoenix. Many have called for Phoenix to be named the number one contender for the purple championship, due her recent run of victories, none more so vocal than Phoenix and Natalya, as well as Michael Cole on commentary. Tonight, Natalya has the chance to get it done where Phoenix could not at Summerslam, and show Phoenix what "real women's wrestling is".

Last week, we saw the very first "Cody Rhodes Intercontinental Championship Challenge". The concept is simple; any Superstar that is not from the United States is allowed a match with Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes. If they win, Rhodes and his associate Ted DiBiase Jr have promised the challenger a match against Rhodes for the coveted and prestigious title. This new concept has received mixed reviews after it's first week, as some call it unfair on the American Superstars, whilst some have said that is embarrassing other nations. Young Japanese Superstar, Yoshi Tatsu was the first man to rise to the challenge last week, but the youngster was no match for Rhodes, being dispatched in little over a minute. With the vast amount of foreign talent available in the ranks of the WWE, will Rhodes find a more formidable challenger tonight?

Also tonight, we see former tag team partners and champions Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel face off. The two met last week on WWE Superstars, with Gabriel coming out on top, will we see the same result tonight?

Confirmed for Smackdown

World Heavyweight Championship
Falls Count Anywhere Match

"The Viper" Randy Orton © vs "Captain Charisma" Christian

Theodore Long's Big Announcement

Intercontinental Championship Challenge
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes w/ Ted DiBiase vs ???

WWE COO Triple H is in attendance

Plus much, much more!

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

Friday Night Smackdown!

August 26, 2011
The Jefferson Convention Centre - Birmingham, Alabama

Tonight’s Smackdown starts with an action replay of the events during last week’s show, with Christian receiving an RKO onto the roof of a car from Randy Orton, and then at the conclusion of the main event, Sheamus being driven through the announce table by Mark Henry. This is then as usual followed by the opening credits. We then cut to the arena.

Michael Cole: Hello and welcome to Friday Night Smackdown! We are coming to you tonight from the sold-out Jefferson Convention Centre, right here in Birmingham, Alabama! I am Michael Cole, and I am being joined tonight by my broadcast partners, Josh Matthews and Booker T.

Josh Matthews: Thank you, Michael, it is great to be right here in Birmingham, in front of nine-teen thousand members of the WWE Universe! We have a blockbuster show for you tonight as usual!

Booker T: Man, I can’t wait for t’night’s main event. We have Randy Orton defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Christian in a Falls Count Anywhere Match!

Michael Cole: That match being a direct result of the events that occurred last week, which saw Randy Orton with an RKO to Christian onto the roof of a car!

Josh Matthews: Not only that, but we will be hearing from Sheamus, who at the conclusion of last week’s broadcast, was laying in a heap after being ploughed through the announce desk by “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry.

There is a decent pop in the arena for the Smackdown General Manager, Theodore Long. Long comes out onto the stage and gives us a little shuffle, before smiling as he strides down the ramp.

Booker T: Boy, and we are startin’ this show off in style!

Michael Cole: Our General Manager, Theodore Long has been extremely busy this past week, as he has made our main event tonight between Randy Orton and Christian, but we believe he is out here now to make an announcement regarding the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.

Josh Matthews: We obviously still do not know who will be heading into Buffalo with the title, that being decided later tonight.

Long is now in the ring, and he has a microphone in his hand, ready to speak.

Theodore Long: Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown, from right here in Birmingham, Alabama!

Cheap pop as is expected from the pumped crowd.

Theodore Long: Now, as you all probably know by now, tonight, Randy Orton will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Christian-

Long is cut off by a pop from the crowd.

Theodore Long: That ain’t even the good part yet, playas. That match will be a FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH!

HUGE pop from the fans, for the main event.

Theodore Long: But that ain’t why I’m out here. I have an announcement to make regarding what is going to happen to the World Heavyweight Champion after tonight, and at Night of Champions, which is under one month away!

There is a significant buzz in the arena.

Theodore Long: I took inspiration from what Triple H announced the WWE Championship Match would be at Night of Champions, so I have decided...

A few cheers, as some have picked up where Teddy is going with this.

Theodore Long: I have decided that the World Heavyweight Championship will ALSO be defended in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions!!

Another loud pop from the fans for the announcement.

Theodore Long: And we are going to have two qualifying matches tonight, we’ll see-

There is a loud pop in the arena, as the COO of the WWE, Triple H marches out from the back, all suited and booted. Long looks slightly confused and annoyed, but shakes The Game’s hand nonetheless, and then offers him his microphone.

Triple H: Teddy, I’m glad you offered me your microphone because I need you to listen to me without any interruptions.

Long’s face drops a little bit, and the WWE Universe realise that this must be serious.

Triple H: I’ll give you credit for making the main event tonight, and for Smackdown's Main Event at Night of Champions, but after last week’s Smackdown, you’re lucky to still have a job.

There is a mixed reaction from the WWE Universe, as Long’s happy demeanour from before has now totally evaporated.

Triple H: Hey, don’t boo me! I’m the reason Teddy still has a job. After what happened to Christian and Sheamus last week, the Board of Directors wanted you gone, because they don’t feel that the Smackdown Superstars are safe.

Long then says “What about The Awesome Truth on Raw?”.

Triple H: On Monday night, I’m going to deal with The Awesome Truth, but right now this is about you.

Teddy is verging on tears at this point.

Triple H: We, as a Board, have decided that your performance is from this moment onwards... under review.

Long then lifts his head up, wiping his eyes, realising that he will not be fired tonight.

Triple H: We will be monitoring your performance very closely, so if there is anything like the carnage we saw on last week’s show, I’m afraid you will be released of your duties as Smackdown General Manager.

LOUD boos from the crowd.

Triple H: I’ll be watching the show from the back tonight, and I hope to see immediate improvement. Enjoy the show, folks.

The COO then drops his microphone, and exits the ring, leaving a dejected Theodore Long standing alone in the centre of it.

Michael Cole: Well, that’s one way to kill the mood of the show.

Josh Matthews: A lot to take in there from the opening of the show. We learnt that the World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, but also that Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long’s performance is now... under review.

Booker T: I hope Teddy pulls through this, dawg. He has been in charge of Smackdown fo’ a very long time an’ I’d hate to see ‘im go.

Josh Matthews: Please be sure to join us after the break, where we’ve been informed that we’ll see the first of two qualifying matches for the Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions!

The last thing we see before commercial is Triple H looking back from the top of the ramp back down at Long, who is clearly devastated.

We return from commercial, and Tony Chimel is standing in the centre of the ring with a microphone in his hand.

Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and the winner will qualify for the Six-Pack Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions!

A decent pop follows this, as everyone looks to the stage to see who we are seeing first.

A large amount of heat welcomes Mark Henry, who slowly walks out the back, and then starts walking down the ramp, grunting at a few fans in the front row.

Tony Chimel: Introducing first, from Silsbee, Texas, weighing 412 pounds, he is the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry!!

Michael Cole: Last week, this man drove “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus through the announce table, leaving Sheamus unable to compete tonight.

Josh Matthews: Now the “World’s Strongest Man” has the chance to qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Night of Champions.

Booker T: Mark Henry has been wrestling for over fif-teen years! Never has he been Champion. Night o’ Champions could well be his last shot, dawg.

Henry is now in the ring, waiting for his opponent, which no one knows yet.

There is a loud pop in the arena, as the lights dim down to blue, and Sin Cara then emerges from behind the curtain, wearing his robe and pointing at Henry in the ring.

Tony Chimel: And the opponent, from Mexico City, Mexico, weighing in at 180 pounds... SIN CARAAA!!

Cara then sprints down the ring and flips over the top rope, wowing the fans and commentators, but Henry looks extremely unimpressed at the spot, ready for business as usual.

Booker T: Aww man! Sin Cara! Dis guy last week got the biggest win o’ his career against Christian, and tonight is his chance to get his first shot at some gold here in the WWE.

Michael Cole: But look at the obstacle in front of him.

Josh Matthews: No doubt Sin Cara riding a huge wave of momentum following that victory over Christian last week, but there is over two-hundred pounds of weight difference between Sin Cara and Mark Henry, will that be a factor in this match?

Michael Cole: Size means nothing, Josh. You should know that as well as anyone.

Silence from Matthews, as Booker simply chuckles to himself after Michael Troll strikes again. The referee checks that both men are ready for the match to begin and then rings the bell.

Match 1:
Six-Pack Challenge Qualifying Match:
Mark Henry vs Sin Cara

Sin Cara starts off by circling the ring, and Henry goes along with it at first, but when the big Texan goes in for a lock up, Sin Cara backs up quickly, trying to unnerve his larger opponent. Henry nods along, knowing Sin Cara’s game. The Mexican then tries to go for the lock up this time however, and manages to transition into a waistlock from behind, but he finds that his arms can only just get around Henry’s waist, and is then the recipient of an elbow to the side of the head from The World’s Strongest Man! The impact sends Cara rolling backwards, but he is then straight back in there for some more, as he runs in and ducks a clothesline, but as he rebounds off of the ropes, Henry levels him with a shoulder tackle down to the mat! Henry then goes down for an elbow drop to Cara’s chest, but Sin Cara gets out of the way! Henry is down on the mat now, and Cara springs back to his feet, and then manages to lay a couple of stomps down onto the big man, but they only seem to slightly delay him from getting back up to one knee. Cara quickly then runs against the ropes and goes for a running splash, but Henry swats him out of the air! Cara falls to the mat and Henry gets back to his feet, smiling to himself. Cara is now using the ropes as a means to get back to his feet, and Henry then runs up, and creams Cara in the ribs with a kick! The impact sends Sin Cara flying through the ropes and then down to the floor below, landing right down onto the ribs that Henry just smacked!

Henry then follows Sin Cara out, and the 10 count from the referee begins. Sin Cara tries to crawl away from Henry, but Henry then grabs him by the back of the neck and brings him up to his feet, before shoving him back first into the ring barrier! The crowd gasps as Henry then notices the referee is now on a count of 5, so he rolls into the ring, only to roll straight back out again! Henry then lifts Sin Cara back up to his feet, and then picks him up for a Military Press!! The fans gasp, and Matthews on the announce desk pleads Henry not to launch Sin Cara into the crowd. Sin Cara starts to shake himself though, and manages to wriggle free of the lift, and then lands feet first onto the ring apron! Henry then turns around, right into a kick to the side of the head from Sin Cara! The blow stirs Henry slightly, and Cara then turns around, and springboards off of the ropes... with a perfect Moonsault onto Mark Henry!!! Both men fall in a heap, and the fans pop to show their appreciation for the move. The referee then starts counting both men once again

Henry starts shaking out the cobwebs, but Sin Cara still sells the damage done thus far to his ribs.

Henry gets up to one knee.

Henry is back up to his feet, and then slides back into the ring.

Sin Cara now only shows some sign of awareness, getting up to one knee.

Henry starts to urge the ref to count faster, but this only buys Sin Cara more time.

Sin Cara is now up to his feet, and he darts towards the ring!

The pop from the fans soon descends into jeering as Henry is straight onto Cara as he enters the ring and “The World’s Strongest Man” immediately clubs Cara’s lower back upon him entering the ring. Henry then drops a knee down onto the lower back, making sure to catch the ribs also. Henry then shouts as his opponent “TRY AND RUN AWAY NOW, BOY!” which gets him a lot of heat from the Birmingham crowd. Henry obviously isn’t the one to care, and then places his foot onto Sin Cara’s ribs, and then uses the ropes for extra leverage! The referee has to get involved an applies to five count, Henry seizing up at four, knowing getting disqualified will not result in him advancing to Night of Champions. Henry smiles as he brings Cara back up to his feet, before whipping him off of the ropes, and then going for a clothesline, but Sin Cara then ducks it, building up momentum, before then jumping onto the opposing second rope, and then springboarding back to Henry and connecting with an elbow square to the face!!! The impact affects both men, Cara landing flat on his back, but the impact does not cause Henry to fall to the mat, but instead causing the big man to stagger back into the corner. Sin Cara gets up and then runs into the corner, then runs up Henry and back flips back into the centre of the ring!! This unique move pleases the fans as well as drawing Henry out of the corner and towards the centre of the ring. Sin Cara then delivers a stinging kick to the back of Henry’s knee, followed by another one, which causes Henry to drop down to a knee! Sin Cara then runs across the ring and gains speed from bouncing off of the ropes, and then connects with a running dropkick right to the face of Mark Henry!!! Henry drops down onto his back, and the commentators urge Cara to go for the cover, which he does, by diving on top of Henry’s chest, not enough energy to hook the leg, and the ref counts!
Henry tosses Cara over his head, stopping the count!

Sin Cara rolls back, shocked, but he sees that Henry is not as quick getting to his feet, so he then runs to the corner nearest Henry, and scales it quickly perching himself onto the top rope. Henry gets back to his feet, and as he turns around, Sin Cara jumps, looking for a Cross Body.... BUT HENRY CAUGHT HIM!!! The fans can see where Sin Cara has found himself, and Henry then turns to the cameras, before planting Sin Cara down with the World’s Strongest Slam!!!! There is a few boos in the arena, as Henry then goes down and makes the cover

Mark Henry is going to Night of Champions!

Winner: Mark Henry (7.16)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner... “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark HEN-RAAAY!!

Henry merely look down at his defeated opponent, as the lighting returns to usual, as the referee then comes over and raises Henry’s gigantic arm in victory.

Josh Matthews: A valiant effort from Sin Cara, but it was not enough to see of “The World’s Strongest Man”.

Booker T: It’d have to take a machine t’ stop Mark Henry at th’ moment, an’ I’d still bet against th’ machine.

Michael Cole: Mark Henry then becomes the first man to qualify for the Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions. Although we do not even know who the champion going into that match is going to be, as tonight, for the World Heavyweight Championship, we are going to see Randy Orton defend the title against Christian in a Falls Count Anywhere match!

We fade to the back, and Matt Striker is standing by in the interview area, with a microphone in hand.

Matt Striker: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, he is “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus.

To a loud pop, Sheamus walks into the shot, and stands beside Striker. Noticeably, The Great White has bandaged ribs, due to the actions of Mark Henry last week.

Matt Striker: Sheamus, last week, you were given the World’s Strongest Slam through the announce table by Mark Henry, leaving you unable to compete tonight. My question is, how does that make you feel?

Sheamus: Well Matt, last week, I was talkin’ here wit’ you, an’ sayin’ how I was going to beat Mark Henry in th’ main event.

Sheamus then motions to his ribs.

Sheamus: Mark, my ribs are bruised, but if ya were try’na break ‘em, you’re gonna need t’ be a lot stronger than “Th’ World’s Strongest Man.”

Decent pop from the arena.

Sheamus: But ya did th’ job well enough ta keep me out fa this week, I’ll give ya t’at. Whilst I was back here nursin’ me wounds, Mark was out t’ere beatin’ Sin Cara, and qaulifyin’ fa t’e Six-Pack Challenge.

Heat for Henry’s win a moment ago.

Sheamus: Ya see t’ough Matt, next week, I’ll be back in t’at ring, for my qualifyin’ match. An’ I’m gonna destroy whoever is keepin’ me away from t’e World Heavyweight Championship.

LOUD pop, as Sheamus then runs his hand through his beard.

Sheamus: If anyone can remember back ta last year’s Night of Champions, I walked inta t’at Pay-Per-View as WWE Champion, but I didn’t come out wit’ it.

Sheamus sighs slightly.

Sheamus: But t’is year! The opposite’s gonna happen, I’ll be walkin’ in wit’ not’in’, but walkin’ out t’e World Heavyweight Champion.

The fans don’t seem to have a problem with Sheamus’ prediction, as displayed by their loud cheers.

Sheamus: So Mark Henry; good win t’night fella, but I’ll see you at Night of Champions.

“The Celtic Warrior” then pats Striker on the back before walking out of shot.

There is a loud pop, as The Diva’s Champion, Kelly Kelly jumps out onto the stage, all ready to compete tonight. She then looks into the ring, and sees her opponent for the night, Natalya, who doesn’t seem at all impressed with the champion. Kelly then starts walking down the ramp, with her title on her shoulder.

Michael Cole: Oh here we go again.

Josh Matthews: Lighten up Michael! We know that Booker loves Kelly Kelly, don’t ya, Book? Go on, say it!

Kelly’s music suddenly stops, as she had been attacked from behind by Beth Phoenix!!! The fans boo the hell out of “The Glamazon”, as she throws Kelly into the ring barrier, before taking her by the hair, and dragging her towards the ring, where her Divas of Doom partner is ready and waiting!

Michael Cole: Now this is what I am talking about! This is entertainment in the Divas division!

Josh Matthews: No! This was all a set up to attack Kelly Kelly from behind!

Beth now rolls Kelly into the ring, where Natalya then approaches and pulls Kelly into the centre. Beth then slides into the ring herself, and the two Divas of Doom then stand over Kelly, but just as Beth reaches down to pick her up again to cause some more damage.

???: Now I wouldn’t do that if I were you, playa!

There is a decent pop for the familiar voice of the Smackdown General Manager, Theodore Long, who has a microphone and is striding down the ramp.

Theodore Long: I don’t know if you two planned this assault on our Divas Champion, but I’m not going to let it continue.

Long climbs up the steps and then into the ring.

Theodore Long: As you probably saw earlier, my job is on the line, and the reason it is on the line is underhanded attacks like this one!

Nice pop for long, who is showing his more assertive side now.

Theodore Long: So I am putting my foot down, and here is what is going to happen. Natalya, you were scheduled to be in a match with Kelly Kelly now, but because Kelly is now not in a correct state to compete at the moment; that match will now be later on t’night!

Good pop, as both Divas of Doom shrug their shoulders.

Theodore Long: This is where it gets good, playas. Beth, I know how much you want to have another match for the Divas Championship, and that Night of Champions is in your home town of Buffalo...

Beth says of mic “Yeah, so what?”

Theodore Long: So if you even show your face before, during or after the match later on, you will be banned from Night of Champions, and I’ll personally make sure that you never have another match for the Divas Championship in the WWE ever AGAIN!

HUGE pop from the fans, as Beth is outraged, her and Natalya screaming at Long.

Theodore Long: Holla Holla!

Long then exits the ring, with Phoenix and Natalya following straight after, pleading their case. Kelly is now sat up in the centre of the ring, smiling to herself whilst at the same time holding the back of her head.

Michael Cole: That is not fair! What did Phoenix do?!

Josh Matthews: You have to be kidding, right?

Booker T: Well, I think I like dis new Teddy Long, Triple H really got through to 'im earlier, an’ we’re really seein’ it come through, with decisions like dat right dere!

We then cut backstage to the General Manager’s office, which Triple H has taken to his own tonight. He is sitting watching a monitor which just showed the incident in the ring.

Triple H: (To himself) He dealt with that well, let’s see-

???: You’re joking, right?

Triple H then turns around and sees that Christian has just walked into the room.

Christian: He dealt with that well? Trust me, next week when you’re not here, I’ll be getting RKOs onto just about anything and Mark Henry will injure half the roster.

Triple H now gets up off of the sofa to face Christian directly.

Triple H: Now as you should know, I’m a very busy man. Is there anything you specifically wanted to see me about?

Christian: As a matter of fact, yes. I am here to make a complaint about Teddy Long.

BIG heat in the arena, as Triple H then looks at Christian like he is an idiot.

Triple H: If you watched the start of the show, you would know that The Board and I have highlighted Mr Long’s performance as an area for improvement.

The Game motions to the TV set in the corner.

Triple H: What I just saw was improvement.

Christian: You call... You call that... improvement? All he did was tell a Diva what to do. He made the mistake of putting me in a Falls Count Anywhere Match with Randy Orton tonight, di-

Christian is cut off by a huge pop in the arena, Triple H looks up and smiles when he hears it.

Christian: After what Orton did to me at Summerslam, and last week, and then Long puts us in another match which favours him? I don’t think that is fair.

Triple H: Look, Christian, Teddy Long made the match, the fans want to see the match, so the match is still on. And just to end all of this whining and complaining, I am making a little addition to tonight’s match... If you lose, you’re done. You will not get another World Heavyweight Championship Match whilst Randy Orton is the champion.

The crowd goes apeshit for that call, and just as Christian is about to reply, Theodore Long walks into the room.

Theodore Long: Mr Helmsley, I hope you are enjoying my office... (noticing Christian) Is everything okay in here?

Triple H: (Looking at Christian) Everything is just fine, Christian was just leaving.

Christian gives the COO a cold stare, before walking out of the office, leaving Triple H slightly riled up still, and Long a bit concerned looking.

We got back to the arena, and Heath Slater has just entered the ring. Much like last week on Superstars, Slater carries a ‘Guitar Hero’ guitar along to the ring with him.

Josh Matthews: I don’t get this guy’s deal.

Michael Cole: He’s a rockstar! Heath Slater, the “One Man-Rock Band”! I love this guy!

Luckily for all of us, Slater has a microphone.

Heath Slater: Now if y’all shut up, I can say what I need to say.

Unadulterated levels of heat for this idiot.

Heath Slater: For those of y’ that don’t know b’ now, my name is Heath Slater. I am the One Man Rock-AAA BAND!

The Birmingham crowd isn’t too bothered, and continue booing Slater, a "YOU SUCK" chant even starts to rear it's head.

Heath Slater: Tonight, my opponent is Justin Gabriel. He-

Slater is cut off by a nice pop for the South African.

Heath Slater: Don’t cheer for him, cheer for me! When we were tag team champions, ev’ryone knew that I was the dominant half of our tag team. When we were in Nexus, The Corre, HELL even NXT Season One, I was always better than Justin Gabriel!

Not many members of the WWE Universe seem to agree with him.

Heath Slater: So tonight, I’m going to beat him silly! And then-

There is a large pop, as Justin Gabriel then walks out from behind the curtain, and then walks down the aisle, slapping hands with fans but also keeping an eye out for Slater.

Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Cape Town, South Africa, weighing in at 213 pounds, Justin GABRIEL. In the ring, from Pineville, West Virginia, weighing 216 pounds Heath Slaterrr!

Booker T: I don’t know what I just saw there from Heath Slater. What, is the guy a rockstar? He angry ‘bout suttin? Let me just watch the match, so I can understand what exactly is going on here.

Slater gives Gabriel a cold stare for interrupting him, but the South African instead climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and holds his arm up for the fans. Gabriel jumps down as Slater then removes his waist-jacket and shades, as well as handing his guitar down to a hand at ringside.

Match 2:
Heath Slater vs Justin Gabriel

The bell rings and the two former tag team partners circle the ring, and then go to lock up. Both men are fairly evenly matched in terms of weight so the advantage comes when Slater breaks the grapple and then kicks Gabriel in the gut, doubling him over. Slater responds with a clubbing forearm to the back and then a right hand to the face of his former friend. Slater whips Gabriel across the ring, and then goes for a big boot to the face, but the highflyer ducks it and then sweeps Slater’s standing leg, causing him to fall back first onto the mat. Gabriel then tries an elbow drop, but Slater rolls out of the way, and Gabriel crashes on the mat but pops right back up. Slater charges, but Gabriel then catches him with an arm drag. Slater gets back to his feet, and is met with a dropkick to the face from Gabriel! The impact sends Slater careening back first into the turnbuckle. Gabriel charges in and then hits a flying forearm to the stomach, and then jumps through the ropes and onto the apron! Slater staggers forward into the centre of the ring and then Gabriel springboards off of the ropes and then plants Slater with a Springboard Bulldog! Slater sells the move beautifully, by then bouncing onto his back, making it easy Gabriel to go down and hook the leg
Slater kicks out!!

Gabriel holds his head in his hands, after executing that big move; it was still too early to put away the man that he has spent the majority of his WWE career thus far with. Gabriel then grabs Slater by the back of the neck and brings him up to his feet, and then gives him a knife-edge chop, followed by a straight kick to the stomach, pushing Slater back into a corner. Gabriel then walks over, and comes in with a forearm to the side of the head, and then a couple of right hands. The referee then gets in between the rivals and separates them... but Slater thumps Gabriel in the eye!!! The referee couldn’t see over his back, as Gabriel sprawls into the centre of the ring, making it easy for Slater to power out of the corner and drop him with a big clothesline! Slater basks in the heat, as his underhanded tactic is now paying off, and he then drops an elbow down onto Gabriel, and then makes a quick cover, but Gabriel kicks out just after one. Slater then ushers Gabriel back to his feet and then hooks his arm over his head and takes him over with a snap suplex! Gabriel’s back arches and Slater then goes through the ropes and onto the apron, before launching himself over the top rope and connecting with a corkscrew splash!! The fans give a small pop for the aesthetic quality of the splash, as Slater then goes down to hook the leg

Gabriel had powered his left shoulder up at the very last moment, and Slater then gets to his feet, as Gabriel uses the ropes to support him as he gets back to his feet. When Justin then is back to a vertical base, Slater runs in from behind... SWEETNESS!! NO!!! Gabriel had hung onto the ropes, so Slater then is forced to roll backwards, and Slater then runs back in-BAM! SUPERKICK!! Slater drops straight onto his back, as the fans get to their feet, as Gabriel sees this as an appropriate time to then scale the turnbuckle! Gabriel gets up onto the top rope and then takes a breath before leaping off from the top and hitting the 450 SPLASH!!! Gabriel recoils, holding his stomach, but then crawls in for the pin on his former tag team partner!

Winner: Justin Gabriel (4.14)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner... Justiiinnn GABRIEL!!

Gabriel climbs up on the top rope, and then holds his arm in the air for the fans, with his other arm across his stomach, clutching his ribs. We then see an image of the Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes walking down a corridor, flanked by Ted DiBiase.

Michael Cole: A great win for Justin Gabriel here tonight in Birmingham. Gabriel might soon fancy a shot at this man! The Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes makes another open challenge... next!

The WWE Universe starts booing the imminent arrival of the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. Rhodes is accompanied by Ted DiBiase, who bounces down the aisle, whilst Rhodes hangs back and slowly walks down the ramp.

Michael Cole: Cody Rhodes is going to be one of the greatest competitors in the history of this company, and I see him holding onto that Intercontinental Championship for a long while yet.

Booker T: I’m not so sure I can agree wit’ you on dat one, Michael. The way he going about bus’ness ain’t how he should; Callin’ out all these non-American athletes.

The former Legacy pairing are now in the ring, DiBiase having a microphone in his hand, waiting for the music to die down.

Ted DiBiase: Last week you saw the very first Cody Rhodes’ “Intercontinental Championship Challenges”, where if you are able to defeat our great, Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes, in a match, you then get the chance to face him for the Intercontinental Championship.

DiBiase then laughs to himself.

Ted DiBiase: Of course we don’t actually expect anyone to actually beat Cody in a match.

Ted goes to laugh with Cody, but Rhodes simply smiles and nods along; the pair being booed by the fans.

Ted DiBiase: As was displayed last week when poor little Yoshi Tatsu thought that he was man enough to take on Cody, but as we all knew, he was no match for the Intercontinental Champion.

DiBiase then holds two fingers up to the crowd.

Ted DiBiase: So tonight’s challenger has to be both of two things. One, they can’t be American, and two, they can’t waste our time like the Sayonara Kid last week.

Ted then nonchalantly throws the microphone over the back of his head, out of the ring. Rhodes takes his hooded jacket off, and hands that and his championship belt to DiBiase who then exits the ring, as all wait upon Cody’s opponent.

A large pop from the WWE Universe, greets the English, William Regal. Regal snarls as he walks down the ramp, despite being a face.

Michael Cole: WOAHH! William Regal!

Josh Matthews: Now here is a man that will take Rhodes to the limit!

Regal wipes his boots on the apron, and then enters through the ropes. Cody looks unfazed in the corner, as Regal disrobes and then tells the referee he is ready.

Match 3:
Non- Title Match:
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes w/ Ted DiBiase vs William Regal

The opening exchanges main comprise of Cody trying to stay out of Regal’s grasps and avoiding the grappling moves of his much more experienced opponent. Regal finally gets a hold of Rhodes and then starts going to work on Cody’s left shoulder, locking in a stiff hammerlock. The hold is broken when Cody manages to scramble himself towards the ropes. Regal then goes in for some more offence, but Rhodes cuts him off with a kick to the gut, before teeing off with a few right hands to the head and then a dropkick from the Intercontinental Champion. Rhodes then tries for a clothesline, but Regal turns it into a back body drop, sending Rhodes crashing down to the mat flat on his back. Opting against the cover at this point, Regal instead gets Rhodes up to his feet and then tosses him around with a couple of half-nelson suplexes, impressing the Birmingham fans. Regal then makes the first cover of the match, but Rhodes is able to kick out at 2.

Regal then gets Cody up again and places him in the corner. After connecting with a couple of shoulders to the midsection, Regal’s momentum is stopped dead after Rhodes gives him a headbutt; his protective mask crashing against Regal’s face. DiBiase applauds his friend’s efforts, but the WWE Universe has a slightly different opinion, booing Rhodes for his actions. Rhodes then gives Regal a running Mask-butt, before making a cover of his own, but it is not enough to put away the veteran Englishman. Rhodes doesn’t seem to sure where to go now, so he starts stomping away on Regal whilst he thinks of what to do. Rhodes then rebounds off of the ropes and drops a knee down over Regal’s face! Regal then sits up and holds his nose, and Cody then rebounds off the adjacent side of the ring and connects with a running boot to the face!! Regal lays flat on his back now, and Rhodes then climbs onto the second rope and connects with a knee drop from there! Cody makes another cover, but once again it is not enough.

Cody now pulls his opponent to his feet, and goes for a right hand, but Regal ducks it, and then lights Cody up with a knife-edge chop! Regal then connects a European Uppercut, but Cody then falls to his knees, and asks the referee to come and adjust his mask, as the Uppercut seemingly knocked it out of place. Regal, a little frustrated, understands the situation- BUT DIBIASE COMES IN AND CLUBS HIM FROM BEHIND!!! The crowd shits all over the tactics, as Rhodes is ready again and sees Regal coming up to one knee, so he walks over to the ropes and waits, before Springboarding off with a Beautiful Disaster Kick!! Regal drops like a sack of potatoes, and Rhodes then looks as focused as he can be, before lifting Regal up from behind, and PLANTING HIM WITH CROSS RHODES!! Cody then makes the cover... One, Two, Three!

Winner: Cody Rhodes (6.15)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner, the Intercontinental Champion... CODY- RHODESS!!!!

DiBiase brings the Intercontinental Championship into the ring and hands it to Cody, who has a big smirk on his face, as he knows that he got lucky.

Michael Cole: Chalk up another in the win column for Cody Rhodes! Seeyabye, Regal!! Haha!

Booker T: Ah can’t help bu’ think dat Regal woulda won ‘dis match right ‘dere if DiBiase didn’t get involved.

Josh Matthews: Well, either way, Cody Rhodes has gone two-and-oh in his Intercontinental Championship Challenges, bring on next week!

Rhodes and DiBiase are now walking back up the ramp and DiBiase is playing to the cameras, as DiBiase holds up two fingers at the cameras, saying “Two down, boys!”

We then cut to the interview area, and one Matt Striker is standing by ready.

Matt Striker: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Wade Barrett.

Barrett then strolls into the frame, looking extremely focused.

Matt Striker: Wade, thank you for joining me. We understand that your match up next is going to be for a spot in the Six-Pack Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions; how are you feeling going into a match where you do not know who your opponent is going to be?

Wade Barrett: Well Matt, when you are a competitor with the calibre that someone such as myself has; you don’t really need to know who you’re opponent is... the only thing that you need to know is that you’re going to beat them.

Some boos in the arena.

Wade Barrett: Take my match last week for example; I did not know who that man was that I had a match against, and I still wiped the floor with him.

Barrett laughs to himself, before turning serious again.

Wade Barrett: And the same thing will happen tonight. Then I will go to Night of Champions and do the exact...same...thing. I will wipe the floor with those five other men, because nothing is going to stop me from becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Mark my words, the other five men in that match will not have a chance of stopping me achieve my goal.

Barrett then looks down at Matt Striker.

Wade Barrett: Last week, Daniel Bryan said that he is guaranteed to become World Heavyweight Champion, because of the Money in the Bank Briefcase. If anything that just shows what kind of man that Daniel Bryan is; he has to take the cheap win rather than earning his place at the top.

A smattering of boos in the arena for Barrett.

Wade Barrett: But I am going to earn everything that I get here in the WWE, so when I am on top, because believe me it will happen, I can have no excuses. When I am The King of the WWE, I am going to look down on all of my peasants; people like Daniel Bryan. Bring on Night of Champions.

Barrett then leaves the set, leaving Striker standing there.

Returning from the commercial, Tony Chimel is standing in the centre of the ring.

Tony Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and the winner will qualify for the Six-Pack Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions!

Wade Barrett then slowly marches out from behind the curtain, with his jacket hanging off of his shoulders.

Tony Chimel: Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weight 246 pounds... WADE BARRETT!!

Josh Matthews: Wade Barrett will definitely be a threat in the Six-Pack Challenge should he qualify tonight, but going as far as saying he will be the “King of the WWE” is a... little too far in my book.

Michael Cole: He’d be a better king than Jerry Lawler...

Barrett is now in the ring, and he drops his jacket over the ropes, not wasting any time. He then stands adjusting his elbow pads, looking at the stage, waiting for his opponent, whoever it is...

DANIEL BRYAN!! Barrett looks disgusted, as Bryan smirks at him from the top of the ramp, holding the Money in the Bank Briefcase, and he looks towards it and then starts charging down the ramp, and slides into the ring, and then goes straight for Barrett!! This one is underway quickly!

Match 4:
Six-Pack Challenge Qualifying Match:
Wade Barrett vs Daniel Bryan

Bryan takes Barrett down with a double-leg takeover, and starts punching him repeatedly in the face, until the referee forces him back. As Barrett gets up, Bryan then rushes at him and dropkicks him into the corner. Bryan then goes in and starts delivering his trademark kicks into Barrett’s chest and mid section. The ref pulls Bryan away, but he is straight back in afterwards, rolling Barrett into the ring with a snapmare, and then dropkicks him in the back of the head. Bryan goes for the first cover of the match, but Barrett kicks out quickly. Barrett then rolls out of the ring to avoid any more contact for now with the fired up Bryan, but as Barrett turns back towards the ropes, Bryan charges through at him with a Suicide Dive!! The fans get on their feet, as Bryan rolls Barrett in again and makes another cover, Barrett kicking out at two this time.
Bryan gets Barrett back up after his hot start, but Barrett then gains an advantage for the first time in the match with a knee to the mid section. Barrett then takes Bryan down with a DDT, but Bryan kicks out of the following pin fall. Barrett then starts to work over the arm of Bryan, applying a hammerlock and then back dropping Bryan down onto it, and throwing him into the turnbuckle arm first, before locking in an armbar, and using the ropes as leverage whenever the referee was distracted. Bryan fights out of the armbar, but Barrett retains control after connecting with a big boot to Bryan’s face after the signs of a comeback were apparent. Barrett continued on the arm, wringing it out and then punching it repeatedly. Barrett planted Bryan down with a Powerslam, and then descended up onto the top turnbuckle. He came off of it looking for the elbow drop, but Bryan had managed to get out of the way in time, and he then took that opportunity to pepper Barrett’s chest with well aimed kicks, before finishing it off by almost decapitating Barrett with a kick to the side of the head!!

Bryan then waits for Barrett to get back to his feet, and then tries to lock in the LeBell Lock!! Barrett squirms towards the ropes desperately, not allowing Bryan to properly execute the hold. Bryan then kicks Barrett as he starts climbing back to his feet, and Barrett is knocked into the corner. Bryan takes a few steps back, and then runs in at Barrett, going for another dropkick... BUT BARRETT DODGES!! Bryan crashes into the turnbuckle, and then lands in a heap on the mat. Barrett drags Bryan further towards the centre of the ring. Barrett climbs the turnbuckle once again, and crashes down onto Bryan with the ELBOW DROP THIS TIME!! Wade goes in for the cover, but Bryan keeps his chances alive by powering out... but he grabs his shoulder straight away! Barrett notices this and reapplies the hammerlock once again, this time, he keeps Bryan grounded, and then gains some upper ground, increasing the leverage on the hold. Bryan refuses to submit, even as Barrett cranks the pressure up. Bryan is able to hit back with a couple of elbows to Barrett’s head, causing The Englishman to break the hold. Bryan then runs against the ropes, and ducks Barrett’s right hand, before rebounding off again, going for a clothesline... BUT BARRETT CATCHES HIM... WINDS OF CHANGE!!! Bryan is spun around and slammed onto his back and then Barrett goes down and hooks the leg...One...Two...BRYAN KICKS OUT!!

Barrett looks shocked and he then gets back to his feet and pulls Bryan up, and then lifts him up onto his shoulders, and the crowd know what Barrett is thinking... WASTELAND-NO! Bryan dropped down but kept hold of Barrett’s arm... LEBELL LOCK!! BRYAN HAS IT IN!! Barrett screams in pain, as Bryan screams for him to tap out, but Barrett slowly tries to edge himself towards the ropes, turning his body around... trying to reach the ropes with his foot, but Bryan tries to hold him back... BARRETT GETS THE ROPES!! Bryan can’t believe it, as Barrett holds his neck in agony, and Bryan looks frustrated now.

Bryan then ushers Barrett up to his feet, and then delivers another kick to his ribs, and then whips Barrett into the corner, but Barrett turns it around and follows in... Bryan lifts himself up, but Barrett stops himself underneath Bryan and scoops him up onto his shoulders. Barrett walks to centre ring and then screams out loud....WASTELAND!!! The fans are hushed, and Barrett then goes down quickly and hooks the far leg... One...Two...Three!!!

Winner: Wade Barrett (10.20)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner, WADE BARRETT!!!

Barrett then stands up, holding his neck, as the referee raises his hand in victory. He is showing some signs of fatigue, but then looks down to the flat out Daniel Bryan on the mat, and then a smirk comes across his face.

Michael Cole: HA! Take that you nerd!!

Josh Matthews: Well, Wade Barrett is advancing to Night of Champions to be part of the Six-Pack Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship; but I don’t think anyone can take anything away from Daniel Bryan’s performance here tonight.

Michael Cole: What do you mean, Josh? He lost!! His performance means nothing... he failed!

Booker T: Cole, I think you need to calm da hayell down, man. D.Bryan put up one hell of a fight, an’ you know it.

Barrett is now exiting up the ramp, still holding his neck, but he motions that he wants the title, as Smackdown goes to another commercial.

Back from the commercial, and Jinder Mahal is standing in a locker room, where he is with his brother-in-law The Great Khali, and he looks like he has something to say. Khali looms over Mahal as he looks to address the WWE Universe.

Jinder Mahal: Last week, I was embarrassed in the middle of that ring, by two fools, two poor excuses for competitors.

A small pop for last week when Mahal suffered his first pin fall loss in the WWE.

Jinder Mahal: But already the tides have turned for Jinder Mahal.

There is an aura of intrigue in the arena, as Mahal continues.

Jinder Mahal: Because next week you will all see the true destructive power of Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali, as I have been selected to participate in a Six-Pack Challenge Qualifying Match.

A little bit of heat.

Jinder Mahal: My opponent, well, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus-

A HUGE pop in the arena, as Mahal grits his teeth and Khali thrusts his fist into his equally large hand.

Jinder Mahal: I am going to destroy Sheamus and then I am going to destroy the other five maggots at Night of Champions, and then realise my grand potential and become the World...Heavyweight...Champion.

The crowd gives strong heat, as Mahal grins at the camera, as we fade away.

Josh Matthews: Well a lucky break for Jinder Mahal tonight, and he has a chance to earn a chance to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.

Booker T: (Laughing) But I don’ like his chances, dawg!

Out comes Natalya for the second time tonight (She is now using Beth Phoenix’s theme, even when in singles competition), this time without her partner, Beth Phoenix. She has a slight chip on her shoulder, as she walks down the ramp, not happy with being the first one to suffer from Theodore Long’s tighter control of Smackdown.

Michael Cole: Well, let’s see if this match can get started this time!

Josh Matthews: Michael of course referring to what happened earlier tonight where Natalya and Beth Phoenix ambushed the Divas Champion, Natalya’s opponent tonight, Kelly Kelly.

A louder pop than earlier greets the Divas Champion, Kelly Kelly, as she holds her title in the her arm, as she bounds down the ramp, showing no effect of the beat down earlier tonight! Natalya’s face drops as she realises the plans from earlier tonight may have gone up in smoke, and may have just lit a fire under K2.

Booker T: Oh snap! Kelly Kelly looks fiiiiine!!! She ain’t showin’ no sign of hurtin’!

Josh Matthews: But how will this come into play? The Divas of Doom are set on Beth Phoenix becoming the Divas Champion, but what if Natalya gets the win here tonight, it might put her into contention-

Michael Cole: Look, I don’t care who out of Beth Phoenix or Natalya become the Divas Champion, as long as I don’t have to endure another second of Kelly Kelly being Divas Champion. This makes me feel sick!

Kelly then slides into the ring, and stares Natalya down, before climbing up the top turnbuckle and then holding her championship above her head- NATALYA COMES IN FROM BEHIND!!!! “The Anvilette” just couldn’t wait for the bell, jump-starting this match, and the referee has no choice but to ring the bell.

Match 5:
Non-Title Match:
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs Natalya;
Beth Phoenix is banned from ringside

Kelly had landed awkwardly off of the top turnbuckle and she immediately went to holding her left ankle as soon as she landed on the mat, so naturally, that is exactly where Natalya goes for as soon as the bell rings. Nattie starts aggressively stomping the shit out of Kelly’s ankle, so much so that the referee is forced to come and back her away from the corner, as Kelly has wrapped herself around the bottom rope, pleading with Natalya to stop it. After the referee has gotten out of the way, Neidhart is straight back in, this time dropping her knee down onto the ankle, before grabbing it and dragging Kelly into the centre of the ring, making the first cover of the match, Kelly kicking out just after one, but then grabbing her ankle straight away afterwards.
Natalya then grabs the champion by her hair, and then tries to bring her up to her feet, but Kelly is evidently struggling on her left ankle. Natalya then runs off of the ropes and tries to comes from behind Kelly, going for a chop block, but Kelly manages to jump up, causing Natalya to fire herself across the ring, but she gets straight back up, but Kelly seems to have aggravated her ankle by then landing back on it, leaving her easy pickings for a DISCUS CLOTHESLINE FROM NATALYA!!! Kelly was almost decapitated from the impact, as Natalya kneels next to the downed body of her opponent, and actually opts against a cover, instead telling Kelly that “It is time to wrestle, Barbie.” Michael Cole screams encouragement towards Natalya, as she then grabs Kelly by the hair once again, and then forces her back first into the a corner, before just pushing her up the turnbuckle, causing the ref to get involved once again, counting to five, but the break comes at 4. Kelly then seems to be about to fall flat down onto her face, still rocked from the clothesline moments ago, but she is caught by Natalya, who props her back up in against the turnbuckle. Nattie then lights Kelly’s chest up with a knife edge chop!!! A few “WOOS” emerge from the WWE Universe, as Natalya then gives Kelly another chop!! Natalya then takes a few steps back, before running back in, but she is met with a boot to the face from Kelly Kelly!! Kelly winces as her ankle almost buckles from the impact, but the Divas Champion quickly then runs to Natalya and takes her down with a jumping clothesline!!

A loud pop greets Kelly’s revival of sorts, but both Divas take a similar amount of time to get back to their feet following the impact. Natalya then swings and misses, allowing Kelly to hook her up for a Bulldog! Kelly looks to take off to perform the move, but Natalya grabs a handful of hair and drops Kelly down onto the back of her head!!! Natalya wastes no time in getting Kelly back to her feet, and then hooks her up and delivers a beautiful snap suplex! Kelly’s back arches, as Natalya goes in for another cover, but Kelly stays resilient and kicks out at two this time. Rolling Kelly onto her stomach now, Natalya then stands over her opponent, and then signals that she wants to break Kelly. Kelly screams in pain, as Natalya weaves her foot into Kelly’s left leg, and then Natalya hooks up the other leg. The fans know what she is going for, as Kelly shouts “NO!” but her injured ankle leaves her powerless, as Natalya then reaches for her arms, and grabs them! Kelly vigorously shakes her head, as Natalya rolls onto her back and the SURFBOARD IS LOCKED IN!!! The referee repeatedly asks Kelly if she will give up, but the champion flat out refuses to give in, instead trying to find a way out of the move. Kelly wriggles, but Natalya has complete control of the hold. Nattie then rocks forward and drives her foot into Kelly’s back, releasing the hold but Kelly then faceplants right onto the mat! Natalya gets to her feet, and waits as Kelly starts getting back up, and Natalya then goes behind the champion, sizing her up... before hooking her up for the GLAM SLAM?!! The crowd gives a confused reaction as Natalya is ready to hit her partner’s finishing move. Natalya brings her up... KELLY ROLLS THROUGH!!!

Kelly almost stole it there, as both ladies then spring back up to their feet. They both have a brief stare down, then Natalya charges in, Kelly ducks- BAM DROPKICK!!! Natalya falls clutching her face, as Kelly holds her ankle after the move. Both are then quickly back to their feet as Kelly charges in this time, and then climbs Natalya, and revolves around, once, twice, three, four, five, SIX TIMES before flicking Natalya away with a Hurricanrana!!! Natalya then lands hard on her back, as Kelly holds her arm up to the fans, gesturing that she will end this match now, as Natalya gets back to her feet, doubled over, as Kelly comes in... K2 Leg Drop- NO!! Natalya grabbed the injured ankle, and yanked it forward, making Kelly land flat on her back! Despite Natalya being a heel, the fans give out a large pop, as Nattie then grabs Kelly’s other leg and stands over her opponent, placing her leg in between Kelly’s, before trying to turn her over, but Kelly quickly spins around and kicks Natalya in the back, knocking her forward, as Kelly springs back up to her feet, and then runs towards Natalya, then jumps on her in a wheelbarrow position before rolling through!!

Winner: Kelly Kelly (6.23)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner, the Divas Champion KELLY KELLAYYY!!!

Kelly then stands up and has her hand raised by the referee, and her championship is handed to her, and she holds it up in the air. Natalya merely sits down in the corner, looking disgusted with the match result.

Michael Cole: Oh my God! Did that just happen? Kelly Kelly beat Natalya?

Booker T: She just gone did, Michael. Where you at now?

Kelly then stands up and has her hand raised by the referee, and her championship is handed to her, and she holds it up in the air. Natalya merely sits down in the corner, looking disgusted with the match result.

Josh Matthews: A great win for Kelly Kelly, as she is set to defend the Divas Championsh- Oh again?!

Josh is interrupted by Natalya taking out Kelly from behind!! For the second time tonight, Kelly is jumped by Natalya! Natalya rams Kelly’s head into the mat, and then turns her over... AND APPLIES THE SHARPSHOOTER!! The bell starts to ring, and then instead of the usual motley crew of officials and referees, we see Beth Phoenix charging down the ramp!! Beth slides into the ring, and then starts stomping away on Kelly whilst she is locked in the Sharpshooter!! Beth then lays off, as the Divas Championship then catches her eye, and she then goes and picks up the butterfly belt, and then holds it in the air, to a mixed reaction, a few cheers spliced in with the boos. Natalya releases the hold on a now almost unconscious Kelly Kelly, and NOW the referees and road agents start making their way down to the ring to diffuse the situation.

Michael Cole: AGAIN Theodore Long messes up and this time our Divas Champion is the one to suffer at the hands of this fool, Teddy Long.

Josh Matthews: I thought you were in support of the actions of Beth Phoenix and Natalya, Michael?

Michael Cole: Oh don’t get me wrong; I LOVED watching The Divas of Doom pick apart that white trash of a champion.

Booker T: Michael, you are just unreal, you know that, sucka?

The Divas of Doom now back up the entrance ramp, happy with their night’s work, as a doctor tends to Kelly Kelly in the ring as we fade to commercial.

We return from commercial, and we see Triple H walking down a corridor, adjusting his jacket, as he then enters the parking lot and sees his limo waiting.

Triple H: Off to the airport, I need to get back to Greenwich.

The driver nods and then holds the door open for “The Game”.

???: Mr Helmsley!

Triple H turns around and Theodore Long runs into the frame.

Theodore Long: Are you not staying for the main event? It’s going to be a good one, playa!

Triple H: I know, and I’ll be kept up to date with what happens, I’ve just gotta go and deal with business at the head office. I’ll be seeing you very soon, Teddy.

Triple H then gets into his limo, and the door closes behind him. Long looks desperate, as he then knocks on the window, it then slowly winds down to see Triple H’s face right behind the window.

Triple H: Teddy, look, I don’t have time. I’m sure it’s gonna be a great match, and I praise you for making it, but I can’t-

Theodore Long: No, what I need to know is...

Triple H: Spit it out.

Theodore Long: Is ... is my job safe?

Triple H: Oh far from it! Tonight was just the first step of a long road to recovery for
Smackdown. You’re job is far from safe just yet. I’ll see you soon... Driver!

The window then rolls back up, and the limo pulls away, leaving Teddy alone in the middle of the parking lot, and he then takes a deep breath and walks back towards the corridors, clasping his hands together with a weary look on his face.

Josh Matthews: Michael, I think you-

Michael Cole: Shut up, Josh! You’re not helping with anything! I don’t think I can take this.

Booker T: Michael, cry if you wanna, dawg. We ain’t gon’ judge you.

Christian is now in the ring, and he does a few last minute stretches, not in the mood to taunt on the turnbuckle, or communicate with the Peeps.

The roof blows off of the JCC, as the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton makes his first appearance of the night. Orton is wearing the “Security” T-shirt from last week, and the camera catches Christian smirking at the gesture.

Booker T: Haha! Orton’s havin’ some fun right dere!

Josh Matthews: Last week we saw Randy Orton show his funny side, but tonight it is all about the World Heavyweight Championship, it is all serious business.

Orton gets into the ring and then gets up onto the second rope, and strikes the “Destiny” pose, and then peers over his shoulder to see Christian chomping at the bit, ready to go. Orton then steps down and hands his championship to the referee, who proceeds to hold it above his head in the centre of the ring, and he checks with both men and we’re ready to go!

Main Event:
World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Falls Count Anywhere:
Randy Orton © vs Christian

The bell rings and the two men start to circle the ring. Orton looks like that he is looking forward to this match and Christian looks determined to win back his World Heavyweight Championship here in Birmingham. Orton makes the first move with a kick to the midsection, followed by a forearm to the back of Christian. Orton then grabs Christian by the hair and fires him down to the mat with a strong right hand. Christian springs back up, only to be knocked back down by the champion. The Viper then waits for Christian to get back up, before bull rushing him into the corner. Orton thrusts his shoulder into Christian’s abdomen, before then suplexing him out of the corner. Christian’s back arches in pain, as Orton now homes in and drops a knee down across Christian’s face!! Orton rolls through and then rebounds off of the ropes and drops the knee across Christian’s face again! Orton then goes down to make the first cover of the match, but Christian kicks out of it just after one. Not deterred, Orton then ushers Christian back to his feet, and then Irish Whips him into the corner. Orton then runs in after, but is met by two boots to the face from Christian, knocking him back. Christian then backs up onto the second rope, and comes off with a Corkscrew Elbow to Orton’s face!!! Christian pulls one of his big moves out early, and then dives onto Orton for the cover, but the World Heavyweight Champion powers the shoulder up just after 2.

Christian isn’t too happy, but he then mounts Orton and starts hammering him with right hands to the forehead. The referee tries to encourage Christian to stop, but there are No Disqualifications, so he is powerless. Christian does eventually relent, and then gets up to his feet, but then he drops an elbow down across Orton’s sternum, and then goes back to the punches to the forehead. Christian brings Orton up to his feet and then bounces his head off of the top turnbuckle! Orton then stumbles into the middle of the ring, and Christian turns him around, and slaps Orton’s mouth off!! The fans give Christian heat for the disrespectful tactic. Orton then strokes his cheek, assessing the damage, before DRILLING CHRISTIAN WITH A RIGHT HAND!! Christian drops, and then rolls out of the ring to safety, and then leans on the announce table for some rest. Orton then follows him out, and gives Christian another right hand to the face, leaving him sprawled over the announce table. Michael Cole complains and tells Orton to go away, but Randy doesn’t listen, and then lays Christian down onto the surface of the table, and carries on hammering away with right hands. Christian tries to regain some composure, and then reaches onto the table, grabs Booker T’s glass, and throws the contents into Orton’s face!!
Christian shakes out a few cobwebs, as Orton tries to wipe his eyes of the Coke (or Pepsi) that was just thrown at him. On commentary, Booker dismays about his drink being spilt as Cole mocks him. Christian comes up behind Orton, grabs him by the neck and then bounces his head off of the ring apron! Orton slumps down, and Christian then grabs him by the neck and walks him around the ring, and then walks over to the ring barrier, before throwing Orton right into it!! Christian then starts putting the boots to Orton’s mid section, and driving his knee down across Orton’s chest, trying to wind the champion. Christian gets Orton up to his feet, and then rolls him back into the ring, but not joining him inside of it just yet. Christian lifts up the ring apron and then looks underneath, and pulls out a trash can! The crowd gives a small pop as Christian throws the can over the top rope and into the ring. Christian then slides into the ring, but Orton is back up to his feet before him, and Orton then hits Christian with a European Uppercut, which knocks Captain Charisma into the ropes, and as Christian comes back from the rebound, Orton then clotheslines him down to the mat! Orton then gets the trash can and lays it down in the centre of the ring, and then goes to get Christian up. Orton hooks Christian’s arm up, and it looks like he wants to Suplex Christian onto the trash can!! NO- Christian fights out and then runs back off of the ropes... POWERSLAM ONTO THE TRASH CAN!!! The crowd gives a loud pop, as Christian lies on top of the crumpled can, and Orton then leans onto him and hooks the leg.
Christian shoots the shoulder up!
Orton then slides out of the ring, and routes underneath the apron. A smile then emerges on his face, as he pulls out a SINGAPORE CANE! The fans pop, as Orton brandishes his new favourite toy, and Christian in the ring, notices this, and then backs out of the ring on the opposite side! Christian gets heat for the chickenshit heel move, and he then starts walking around to the announce desk, but Orton goes to cut him off at the pass. Christian freezes, seeing Orton with the cane, and Christian then quickly turns around and tries to run over the ring barrier into the WWE Universe! Christian tries to escape but Orton is straight on him, and then cracks the cane over Christian’s back as he goes over the barricade!! Christian falls to the ground on the other side of the barricade, and Orton then climbs over the guard rail also. Christian stumbles away through some fans, and Orton then catches up with him, and hits Christian in the back once again with the cane! The fans love it, and Orton then walks around the other side to Christian’s front, and then the cane connects with Christian’s midsection!! Christian is doubled over, and Orton then holds the cane like a baseball bat, and waits for Christian to return to a standing position... before CANING HIM RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!!! The fans pop huge as Christian drops to the ground, flat on his back. Orton holds the cane up in the air, displaying where all the wood has now been splintered! Orton then drops the cane, and then goes down and makes the cover on Captain Charisma

Orton then sits next to the flat out body of Christian, with a smile on his face in causing that kind of punishment to the challenger.

Michael Cole: We’re going to go to our final commercial break of the evening, will Randy Orton retain the World Heavyweight Championship, or will Christian turn this around and take back the gold? Tune in after the commercial to find out!

We return, and the two men are now backstage!! Christian is now in control now, as the replay fro during the commercial is shown. Orton was trying to push a crate into a prone Christian, but Christian moved at the last second, and then kicked Orton in the face, and threw him into the crate. Christian has Orton by the back of the neck, and is walking him down a corridor, passing random backstage workers. Christian tells them to move out of the way, and the various men scramble out of the way, apart from one man that was on his phone, with his back to the action. Orton though takes advantage of Christian being distracted and then punches him in the gut, and throws Christian into the man on his phone!!! The crowd gives a loud pop, as both men clatter into a pile of boxes that was behind them. Orton then picks up the phone that was dropped on the ground and tells the person on the other end to “Call later” before closing the phone and throwing it at Christian. Christian then starts to stir, but Orton is right onto him and hammers into Captain Charisma with some right hands across the forehead. The referee tells Orton to move it along, so The Viper then walks down the corridor a little bit, and then picks up a ladder that was leaning against a wall. Orton picks up the large object, and starts walking back over to Christian, who is now on his knees, trying to recover from the offence he has taken in this match thus far. Orton then picks up the pace and charges at Christian with the ladder, but Christian sees him coming... DROP TOE HOLD... ORTON FALLS ONTO THE LADDER!!! Christian waves his hand through his hair after the high impact counter, and he grabs Orton, who is favouring his right shoulder after the fall. Christian places Orton to the side of the flat ladder, and then opens up the construction, and places Orton’s arm inside the ladder... BEFORE SLAMMING IT BACK DOWN ON ORTON’S SHOULDER!! Orton screams in pain, as Christian then goes down and makes the pin attempt.

The strain on Orton’s shoulder to have had to have kicked out of that pin is evident, as he grabs the shoulder as soon as Christian gets off of him. Christian is now on his feet, looking for what he can do next, and further the pain that Orton is currently in. Christian’s eyes widen, as he then grabs Orton by his weaker arm, and then drags him along the floor, down the corridor. We see a door, where above it a small sign says “Locker Room”, and Christian then picks Orton up, and then opens the door, placing Orton’s shoulder in between the gap!! The fans make a loud gasp from the arena, as it becomes clear that Christian is going to slam this door into Orton’s shoulder. Christian is just about to do it, but Orton kicks him in the midsection!! Christian is knocked back a few steps, out of camera view, as Orton closes the door and then leans on it, and holds his shoulder, looking for a brief moment of respite, but it is short lived because HERE COMES CHRISTIAN... SPEAR THROUGH THE DOOR!!!!!!! The arena goes wild, as both champion and challenger lay flat on the ground after the hard-hitting blow, surrounded by splintered wood. Christian lays and breathes heavily, whilst Orton is not moving at all, and the referee is in there to check on both men, and Christian then starts to come to his senses a little bit, and then slowly crawls over to Orton, and then covers with a lateral press

A huge pop comes from the WWE Universe in the arena, as Christian is shocked, and he looks at the referee for some hope, but the official declares that it was only a two-count. Christian runs his hand through his hair again, and then grabs Orton, and then manages to drag some of the deadweight out of the collapsed doorway, and across the hall to a door. Christian drops Orton and then opens the door, and the camera cuts to a wide shot inside of the arena, and Christian suddenly appears in the middle of the crowd!! A big pop from the fans, as Captain Charisma weakly salutes any Peeps in the arena, to a mixed reaction, the Peeps providing some cheers. Christian now goes back to Orton and drags him through the door into the gap in the crowd where the WWE Universe are mere centimetres away from the action. Christian then applies a standing headlock on the champion are then starts walking him down the stairs, using his free hand to keep himself steady on the railings, but suddenly Orton gets a surge of energy, and lifts Christian up, and CROTCHES HIM ON THE RAIL!! There is a loud cheer, as Orton then slouches down against the railing and favours his shoulder, as Christian falls sideways off of the rail and onto the stairs, rolling down a few in the process. Orton now uses the rail to get back to his feet, and starts walking down the stairs, and then takes Christian with him. After some walking, the two reach the guard rail, where Orton manages to throw Christian over the top of it, Captain Charisma landing hard on the floor below. Orton then struggles to het himself over the barricade, but he eventually does, with Christian back on his feet now ready for him. Christian unloads with a slap and then a couple of right hands, before he sends Orton shoulder first into the steel steps!!! The steps come into play as Christian goes down for yet another cover

Christian, his patience clearly wearing thin, desperately looks around the ringside area for some form of inspiration, but his breakthrough comes when he then looks over to the timekeeper’s area. He gets to his feet and then walks around the ring to the timekeeper’s area, and shoves Tony Chimel right off of his chair!! The fans give Christian heat for his actions, but Captain Charisma doesn’t care, and then takes the chair that Chimel was sat on. Christian hurriedly paces back around the ring, where Orton is only up to one knee, still feeling the effects of this match. Christian then walks over to Orton and waffles him in the shoulder with the chair!!! Orton cries in agony, and then falls back to the floor, and CHRISTIAN HITS HIM AGAIN WITH THE CHAIR!!
Christian drops the chair, as Orton groans in pain on the floor. Christian then walks over to the side of the ring facing the ramp, and then analyses the floor, and then starts to rip off the protective matting, EXPOSING THE CONCRETE!!! The fans and commentators alike start speculating all the possible things that can happen here, as Christian then tears off another piece of the padding, the referee begging him not to. Christian then walks back over to Orton, and talks to him as he drags him over to the exposed concrete, telling Randy “This is where it ends, Randy... this is the end”. Christian then gets Randy to his feet, who seems almost completely out of it, and then kicks him in the gut, and then goes behind Orton and then starts to hook him up for the Killswitch!!! Christian gets Orton around, and then says “Bye-bye” to a fan in the front row... RKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The arena EXPLODES, as the fans are then in shock, after the brutal thud and slap of Orton and Christian landing on the concrete!!! Both men have not moved an inch, as Christian is face down, and Orton lays flat on his back. The referee takes time to check on both champion and challenger, but there is no sign of motion from either man. Suddenly, Orton starts to raise his head, and he then has a realisation of where he is, and he then starts to edge himself towards Christian, and then find the strength to roll him over! Orton backs up just a little more and then sprawls his back over Christian’s chest, as the referee counts...

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Randy Orton (19.34)

Tony Chimel: Here is your winner, and STILL World Heavy-weight Champion... RANDAAYYY OR-TONNN!!!

The fans are electric, as Orton is almost as motionless as Christian, looking extremely exhausted, as the referee tries to usher him up to his feet, but Orton struggles to keep himself on his feet, but then manages to stay upright, as the referee raises his arm in the air, and a stagehand then hands him his title belt back, and Orton holds it close to his chest.

Booker T: WHAT DA HAYELL! That match was off da chain, boys!

Josh Matthews: I don’t know how these two men are even conscious! They just literally dragged each other through the entire arena and I don’t think either man will be the same again! Michael, are you okay?

Cole remains speechless as, a stretcher is then brought down to the ring for Christian. The medics have already fitted him with a neckbrace, and they then start loading him up onto the stretcher. A slight smile is on Orton’s face at his handiwork, but he seems more content with keeping his title. A lone sigh can be heard on commentary from Michael Cole.

Josh Matthews: Michael, is everything okay?

Michael Cole: NO JOSH IT’S NOT OKAY! How can Theodore Long allow this?! Christian is the biggest star on Smackdown, and Theodore Long is allowing this savage Randy Orton to run roughshod over the whole roster, I’m tired of this! Goodnight, folks.

There is silence from Matthews and Booker T on commentary, as Cole removes his headset and then sits cross armed in his chair, as the final image of the show is Christian being carted to the back and Randy Orton standing in the ring holding the World Heavyweight Championship.

Right, now just a couple of few little things from me....

ONE - I apologize to anyone that has had some form of interest in this thread in huge bunches for this show taking so long to get up. I was very busy with other stuff, and when I put the preview up, I only had two more matches to write. So, I'm sorry.

TWO - Would once again like to thank Starbuck for the show banners. I love them.

THREE - Any comments/reviews/criticisms/whatever would be deeply appreciated as per usual.

FOUR (Last one I promise) - I decided to only write recaps of the Rhodes/Regal and Barrett/Bryan matches due to time constraints, and I think that is how I'm going to do all of the TV matches until I get a lot more spare time on my hands. Night of Champions has been started, but that will be in full! Enjoy!

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

Smackdown Feedback

I didn’t read your previous Smackdown so apologies if I don’t quite get the odd thing here and there.

Anyways, Teddy was pretty on point here character wise. Not too sure on having two six pack challenges though on one show, woulda thought the GM would wanna do something different or unique to his Raw counterpart. Nice ultimatum thrown Teddy’s way here, shape up or get out, a little bit short for an opening segment but we got the main talking point and it’s a good storyline to have.

Decent contest here with two contrasting styles but the right decision in having Henry come out on top. Man’s a beast and Cara beating him at this point wouldn’t have been the wisest choice.

Really enjoyed this with Sheamus, his accent was captured well and the overall message was clear as day.

Bit of a pointless segment here, just added a bit more to the T-Long story but still a bit of a waste if we’re just gonna see the girls again later.

Decent exchange here with Trips and Christian, big time stipulation added there now.

Quite liked Heat Slater here which I never thought I’d say. You got his cocky little shit attitude right and the accent was easy to read. Good win for Gabriel though as one would hope, lets hope a nice push comes his way.

DiBiase was ok here, bit bland but hey that’s Ted for ya! I like the idea of this Intercontinental title challenge for Cody, gonna make him look legit taking on and beating his rivals whilst it’ll give a nice rub to whoever does beat him. Regal wouldn’t have been a bad choice to do so but I guess you wanna keep this going a little while longer.

Barrett’s character was pretty good throughout here but I had a gripe with you saying he doesn’t know or need to know his opponents, then bringing up Daniel Bryan like that, then indeed facing him. Was all a little too obvious. Was a good match though and a big win for Barrett, he’s certainly one you can use in a big way going forward.

Jinder Mahal, garbage, simple as but fair enough on using him.

Big win for Kelly here. Would’ve preferred Natalya but I guess it’s heading somewhere with Beth. Wonder what this does for Teddy now with Beth coming down afterwards.

Why Trips would leave before the end is a bit bizarre but I’ll see where it goes, glad that Long’s not off the hook yet, would’ve been wasted just leaving it after one show.

Very enjoyable main event and both men coming out looking strong, no doubt about it. Only disappointment is that Christian’s title hopes go down the drain now. Be interesting where he goes from here, I would guess he and T-Long do battle for a while as he tries to get him out.

On the whole, a decent show again here. Main event was very good and the Teddy Long storyline is a good one to go with, hopefully you get him out. The rest was all ok and I’m sure as the weeks go by you’ll build more and more as obviously the Smackdown roster isn’t the greatest right now so it’ll take time to build quite a few up. Lot of potential though so keep going, well done.

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

After learning on Smackdown this past Friday that the World Heavyweight Championship will ALSO be defended in a Six-Pack Challenge as well as the WWE Championship being contested for under the same rules, it is thought that the match is wanted to become a staple for the Pay-Per-View each year. With the want in the management to reduce the amount of "hardcore" gimmick PPVs in order to make the more extreme matches at regular Pay-Per-Views seem more special, it is rumoured that this year's TLC event in December will be the last one, and that next year there will be no Extreme Rules after Wrestlemania, and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match is being moved back to 'Mania so the PPV will not exist any more either.

The WWE Championship Match has a lot of different factors going into it, and it is hoped that the match will tie up some loose ends, or add to further rivalries. It is expected the Raw shows leading up to the event will try and build Kofi Kingston, The Miz and R-Truth as threats to the championship. It is currently up in the air whether Del Rio will walk out with the gold; the similar dilemma on the Smackdown side of things, as many are tipping that Randy Orton will not be the World Heavyweight Champion leaving the event; but due to Orton's pulling power in the back this could just be put down to speculation.

Click below to see an exclusive wwe.com interview with Jack Swagger, regarding his recent issues with Zack Ryder.

Spoiler for Jack Swagger Interview:

The camera is outside a house, and it pans to the side to reveal Scott Stanford standing at the end of the front path, and he has a microphone in his hands.

Scott Stanford: Hello WWE Universe, I am Scott Stanford, and I am here in beautiful Perry, Oklahoma, and behind me you see the home of WWE Superstar Jack Swagger. We've came here today on request from "The All-American American", as he said he has an announcement regarding Raw this coming Monday night, and he plans on telling us his involvement in show. So let's see what he has to say.

Stanford starts walking up the path as he says his final few words and then knocks on the door, and keen viewers of Smackdown in 2010 will recognize Jack Swagger's father, who opens the door.

Scott Stanford: Hello, Mr Swagger. My name is Scott Stanford and we're from wwe.com; we're here to talk with Jack.

Mr Swagger: Oh, I guess you better come in then. He's not been right these past couple of weeks, something to do with this Zack Ryder guy; there's something about him that Jack just can't get his head around. I'll show you to his room; he's not come out of there all week.

Mr Swagger then leads Stanford and the cameraman up the stairs, and then opens a door which is a little further down the hall.

Mr Swagger: Jacky, there's some men from work here to see you. (To Stanford) I'll get outta your way, just go in.

Stanford then walks into the room, which as the cameraman enters, we see that Jack Swagger is sitting on a chair, just looking out of the window, not acknowledging that anyone has entered the room.

Scott Stanford: Jack...is everything okay, bro?

Swagger simply takes in a deep breath through his nose, and then turns around to look at Stanford, who seems slightly nervous about being there.

Jack Swagger: Bro? You call me Bro? After everything I've been through these past two weeks on Raw, you come into MY house and call me "Bro"?!

Scott Stanford: Sorry, Jack, I've just been spending so much time with Zack recently that it's kinda just became habit; I..I didn't mean to offend you.

Swagger then turns in his chair slightly.

Jack Swagger: What is it that you've been doing with Zack Ryder?

Scott Stanford: We've done some filming for Z! True Long Island Story this week, and then-

Jack Swagger: No one cares about Z! True Long Island Story! All people should care about is me! Everyone has been going on about how Zack Ryder made himself the star he is, everyone is forgetting about the man that really matters; Jack Swagger.

Scott Stanford: So Jack, why did you want this interview with...me? Do you have a message for Zack Ryder?

Swagger now stands up for the first time in the interview, and then squares up to Stanford.

Jack Swagger: I am a two time All American athlete and a former ECW and World Heavyweight Champion; I got all of those accolades from planning ahead of my opponents. I have a match again with Zack Ryder this week on Raw, and I want you, one of his best friends to tell me how he has beaten me twice in a row.

Stanford now looks confused.

Scott Stanford: Jack, you expect me to give away Zack Ryder's tactics? I... I can't do that, as you said I'm one of his best friends, I can't tell you that information.

Jack Swagger: Fine, have it your way, but trust me, either way, Zack Ryder would have gotten the message.

Scott Stanford: What? What's that supposed to- BAM!

SWAGGER FLOORED STANFORD WITH A RIGHT HAND! Stanford groans as Swagger steps over his body, and looks dead into the camera, the cameraman obviously scared as we see it shaking around a little bit.

Jack Swagger: You hold this damn camera steady or I'll hit you in the face too!

Swagger's face takes up the entire frame, and he stares right into the lens.

Jack Swagger: Zack, I know you'll be watching this, and I'll know that now you're scared of what I'm going to do to you next week. Zack Ryder, you're gonna pay for embarrassing me, so now, your boy is gonna suffer.

Swagger then turns around... and PUTS SCOTT STANFORD IN THE ANKLE LOCK!!! Stanford cries for the cameraman to help him, but the crew member seems to be frozen stiff. Swagger screams as he applies the hold tighter and shouting as if it is Ryder himself that he is punishing, referring to Stanford as "Zack" Not knowing what to do Stanford rapidly taps, and then Swagger lets out on last huge scream, before dropping the interviewer to the ground. Swagger approaches the camera and then pushes the cameraman over... the screen going fuzzy, and the video ending.

Just a few notes, regarding any issues that I think might have come up regarding the double Six-Pack Challenges. (I made the Match Banners myself for this PPV depending on how well down they go will decide whether I make them or not for the other PPVS)

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

A big thank you to cp for the Smackdown feedback, and any more comments would be very much welcome. But I have decided that I really want to get this going properly and I've written over half of this show already so I thought I'd just stick the preview up, and I am hoping to get it out in less than a week.

Monday Night Raw

August 29, 2011
Resch Center - Green Bay, Wisconsin

Last week, after a huge brawl after the Main Event between John Cena and Kofi Kingston vs The Awesome Truth, involving the four men as well as the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk; who had had altercations with the combatants earlier in the night. CM Punk was attacked backstage by the troublesome Miz and R-Truth, and after Del Rio interrupted John Cena, his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez was the ungrateful recipient of an Attitude Adjustment from the Cenation Leader. After the carnage at the end of the show, the WWE COO Triple H announced that the six men will compete in a Six Pack Challenge for Del Rio's WWE Championship at Night of Champions!! There have been criticisms directed at The Game for including Kofi Kingston in the match, but Kingston has asked for a chance to prove himself to all of the critics and show that he belongs in that match, so Triple H thought there was no better way than to face the WWE Champion! Also, the other main event of the evening will be between the other four men involved at Night of Champions, as The Awesome Truth will maybe see their comeuppance at the hands of the two men they have jumped the past two weeks; John Cena and CM Punk. Will the common enemy manage to unite the two men that fought tooth and nail over the WWE Championship at Summerslam? Or will The Miz and R-Truth manage to carry on working as effectively as they have been since joining forces?

The Awesome Truth though will apparently be punished tonight however for their actions these ast few weeks, as was promised by Triple H on Smackdown this past Friday. We have no idea what punishment The Game could have in store but we can promise that The Miz and R-Truth will not like it. "The Boss" will also still be on the lookout for his friend Kevin Nash, who last appeared two weeks ago on Raw, costing CM Punk the WWE Championship. With so many loose ends and unanswered questions around the WWE Championship Match at Night of Champions, hopefully tonight will make things a little clearer.

The past two weeks on Raw, Zack Ryder has managed to earn victories over former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Losing to a man that was not deemed good enough for WWE Superstars this time a year ago and on the brink of losing his job had it not been for a Youtube show doesn't seem to sit well with Swagger. Scott Stanford, Raw's backstage interviewer and also a close friend of Ryder was requested by Swagger to visit him at his home in Perry, Oklahoma, to talk to Swagger, and to also pass on the message that Swagger wanted Ryder in the ring once again this week in Green Bay. But the appearance of Stanford proved to only be a set up, as Swagger then took it upon himself to assault Stanford and then put him in the hospital with a broken ankle following Swagger's devastating Ankle Lock manoeuvre. Swagger has been fined 20,000 dollars for his actions and Ryder will no doubt be on the lookout for some payback tonight.

After defeating Rey Mysterio via dubious means two weeks ago on Raw, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and his manager Vickie Guerrero have revealed that they have made it their mission to rid the WWE of Rey Mysterio. Last week, Rey managed to get back to winning ways by beating Drew McIntyre one on one, despite being taken to the limit by the wily Scot. This week, Ziggler will team up with McIntyre to face Mysterio and the man that McIntyre has been having problems with these past couple of weeks on WWE Superstars, Alex Riley! Not only is this a good chance for Mysterio to prove that he is worthy of the United States Championship Match he desires, but for Mcintyre and Riley to lobby their claim to a match for the gold. Which of these two competitive teams will come out on top?

Despite everything that Beth Phoenix has done in order to get the Divas Championship Match she "deserves", which include defeating the champion's best friend Eve, as well as pinning the champion last week on Raw, "The Glamazon" was still denied a match at Night of Champions in her hometown of Buffalo by Smackdown General Manager, due to her actions OUTSIDE of the ring since Summerslam. Tonight, Phoenix will be in action, and I'm sure that she will be looking to make another Diva the victim of the devastating Glam Slam.

Last week, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, David Otunga defeated one of his and Michael McGillicutty's opponents at Night of Champions, Santino Marella; albeit by dubious circumstances after McGillicutty inserted himself into the match illegally. This week, it is McGillicutty's turn to face Santino's tag team parter, "The Moscow Mauler" Vladimir Kozlov. What with the roll Kozlov has been on since returning to the WWE, could the 3rd Generation Superstar be in trouble tonight in Green Bay?

Confirmed for Raw:

Non-Title Match:
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi Kingston

John Cena & CM Punk vs The Awesome Truth

Jack Swagger vs Zack Ryder

United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre vs Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley

Vladimir Kozlov vs Michael McGillicutty

Beth Phoenix will be in action

The show tonight starts with a video package highlighting the events of last week on Raw, where we saw The Awesome Truth attack CM Punk and then John Cena with chairs during the main event. We then see the carnage that ensued last week after the main event, and then Triple H announcing that the WWE Championship will be defended in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions.

We enter the arena after seeing the pyrotechnics display, and see some sweeping shots of excited members of the WWE Universe, who are ready for Raw. Our commentary team then welcome us into the show.

Michael Cole: Welcome to Monday Night Raw! Tonight we are here in the sold-out Resch Center right here in Green Bay, Wisconsin! I’m your elite commentator here in the WWE, Michael Cole!! I’m joined by my regular partner on Monday nights, Jerry “The King” Lawler! Jerry, we have a huge show to bring you tonight, and coming off of the events from last week, they’re going to be a great chance to see who is building momentum heading into Night of Champions.

Jerry Lawler: That’s right, Michael. I’m glad to be here, by the way. We’re going to see the WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio, facing one of the men he is defending the championship against at Night of Champions, Kofi Kingston.

Michael Cole: Well, all week people have been criticising Triple H’s decision to include Kofi Kingston in that match, and I, for one, do agree with them, but tonight is definitely Kofi’s chance to silence his critics. Also, our main event! We’re going to see The Awesome Truth, the awesome Miz and R-Truth, take on two men who they will be competing against at Night of Champions, and who they have brutally attacked these past two weeks, John Cena and CM Punk.

Jerry Lawler: I got a chance to speak with John Cena earlier today, and it is safe to say that he is looking forward to getting his hands on The Miz and R-Truth later tonight. After what they have done to him, there is no doubt that Cena, AND Punk, will want retribution tonight.

Michael Cole: And THAT is not all! Tonight we will see a Superstar that has seemed to have developed an obsession with Zack Ryder, he is one of my favourite Superstars, that being “The All American-American” Jack Swagger.

Jerry Lawler: Jack Swagger has not been having the best of luck these past couple of weeks, falling short to Zack Ryder twice in a row now, and in a wwe.com exclusive video he violently beat up our very own Scott Stanford, who is one of Zack’s close personal friends.

A still from the wwe.com video in Swagger’s bedroom, where Swagger is holding Scott Stanford in the Ankle Lock.

Michael Cole: We understand that Jack Swagger has been fined for his actions on Scott Stanford this past weekend, but his match with Zack Ryder is still scheduled to take place tonight. I know Jack very well so I think Zack Ryder better watch out tonight.

There is a little hush now in the arena, as everyone seems to be waiting for whoever is going to open the show tonight...

A loud cheer erupts, as Triple H, “The Boss” of the entire company, strides out from behind the curtain, all suited up as usual, and he looks like he is ready to start the show, adjusting his tie as he walks down the ramp.

Michael Cole: Now here is a man that kept himself busy last week. On Raw, he announced that the WWE Championship will be defended in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, and this past Friday on Smackdown, he told the General Manager Theodore Long that his performance was under review. Haha!

Jerry Lawler: Of course everyone here wishes Teddy Long will be keeping his job as Smackdown General-

Michael Cole: (Interrupting) I don’t!! Christian has been in hospital the entire weekend because of that idiot!

Jerry Lawler: I think this is a conversation for another time, Michael. But what Triple H did promise us tonight was that we would see some form of punishment for The Awesome Truth for their actions recently.

“The Game” is now in the centre of the ring, with a microphone in hand, as his music fades out, a small “TRI-PLE H!” chant can be heard, but he quickly silences the WWE Universe by motioning with a hand.

Triple H: I’d like to start tonight by answering any questions about what happened on Smackdown on Friday. I’ve been getting tweets from fans and text messages from Superstars, asking me about Theodore Long.

A mild pop for the Smackdown General Manager.

Triple H: Mr Long’s performance is under review... which means that he isn’t going to get fired, but if Smackdown spirals further out of control, I will have to terminate Mr Long’s contract.

Some small heat.

Triple H: If I’m being honest, the situation isn’t much better here on Raw, either. I’ve received messages from Superstars from both shows. Some of these messages... well, if I’m being honest... HAVE BEEN PISSING ME OFF!

There is a good pop, as Triple H loudly snarls the last few of those words out, clearly frustrated.

Triple H: Apparently, some of the WWE Superstars have forgotten just where the hell they work. It has been said before, but this aint ballet; this is the WWE, this is MY WWE.

“The Game” starts pacing around the ring now.

Triple H: So yeah, a few guys have been jumped backstage, people have gone through tables, so what? Back in my day, we had the Hardcore Title, twenty-four-seven rules; people got their asses kicked in the back all the damn time!

He laughs to himself, and then continues.

Triple H: But because I am now the guy that is trying to stop all of this instead of being the one that is creating it, I have to do something about it. What I told Teddy Long on Friday night was the start of the road to recovery for Smackdown, but over here on Raw, the all of the trouble seems to be coming from two men.

Heat from the fans who know exactly who the COO is talking about.

Triple H: Yeah, it seems you know who I am talking about; The Awesome Truth.

BIG heat

Triple H: Two weeks ago, they attacked Cena with steel chairs. Last week, they attacked CM Punk backstage and then got Cena with the chairs again during the main event. Usually, I wouldn’t give a damn about what they do but since their actions have led to my ass being on the line, I have to step in. I’ve been told I have to (Air quotation marks) discipline them.

He then walks over to the side of the ring facing the stage.

Triple H: So Miz, Truth, I’d like you to come out here, so-

There is a large amount of heat in the arena, as The Awesome Truth, The Miz and R-Truth start striding down to the ring, both wearing huge shit-eating grins across their faces.

Jerry Lawler: These two guys are out of control! I can’t see any justification to why they’ve been attacking John Cena these past couple of weeks.

Michael Cole: They’re doing it because they want a shot at the WWE Championship, which they have been deprived of, Jerry! And who are you to criticise their methods? They’re in the WWE Championship Match at Night of Champions, so it obviously works.

Jerry Lawler: I just don’t think that is how things should be done in the WWE.

The Awesome Truth are now in the ring, and both men picked up microphones on the way into the ring.

Triple H: Now, I asked you two out here, because I need to get some sort-

The Miz: Who the hell do you think you are?! You... are calling us out? Really?

The Miz: Really?

The Miz: Really?

Triple H: Ya, really. Now if you speak when you’re not spoken to and interrupt me again, that microphone is going to go somewhere where the sun don’t shine. And to answer your question as to whom I am... I am your boss.

BIG pop; Miz being put in his place already.

Triple H: As I was saying, I’ve got you two out here because some of the guys in the back don’t feel safe with you two walking around doing whatever the hell you like... because there is only one guy that is allowed to do whatever the hell he wants around here... me.

The Awesome Truth look unimpressed.

Triple H: So, as part of your... punishment... I have decided to make a small change to tonight’s main event, and your match against John Cena and CM Punk will now be fought under No Disqualifications!

A loud pop, as The Miz simply smirks and R-Truth start laughing.

The Miz: You really don’t understand do you? The great, Triple H, seems to have already forgotten what it is like to be a WWE Superstar. Ahh, I don’t think you realise that making that match a No Disqualification match is fine for us... It works in OUR favour.

The Miz starts striding around now.

The Miz: It gives us the chance to do some damage on two of our biggest threats in the Six-Pack Challenge. Tonight, we take John Cena and CM Punk... out.

R-Truth: Now that’s wassup!

The Miz: And once Punk and Cena are out of the way, it is only Alberto Del Rio and pathetic little Kofi Kingston left in our way. Who knows? We might decide to interfere in their match later on and then once the show is over, we won’t have any opponents to face once we get to Night of Champions.

R-Truth: They gon’ get got! An’ then, this conspiracy will be ova! Haha!

It is now Triple H’s turn to laugh now, as The Miz asks him what he is laughing at.

Triple H: That sounds like an AWEE-SOMMMME little plan you got there, but I’m afraid I thought that that is what you would do, so until you’re match later on, I’ve arranged you some temporary... care.

As Triple H says this, we see that around twenty Security Guards are walking down to the ring.

The Miz: What are they doing here? What do you mean?

Triple H: Well, I thought you’d try and ruin my show again, so I figured I’d ask these gentlemen here to escort you out of the arena and not let you back in until it is time for your match.

There is a HUGE pop in the arena, and R-Truth’s eyes start to bulge out of his head, nostrils flaring, as five of the guards enter the ring, and then grab Miz and Truth, and start to pull them away, both men trying to fight them off. A small “NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY, GOODBYE!” chant starts, but doesn’t really pick up properly.

Michael Cole: Well, that isn’t fair! These guys are forced to compete under No Disqualification rules, and now they are being escorted out of the arena by security! SOMEONE STOP THIS!!

Jerry Lawler: Michael, sometimes what goes around comes around, and The Awesome Truth just got what came around.

Michael Cole: Besides the most entertaining men on Raw being banned from the arena for the entire night, I’ll try to enjoy the rest of the show.

R-Truth can be heard shouting “IT’S A CONSPIRACY!” before both men are dragged out behind the curtain, leaving Triple H laughing in the centre of the ring before we go to our first commercial of the night.

Returning from the commercial, we are backstage, and we come in during the middle of a commotion by the exit to the arena. We see the mob of guards from before, trying to force The Miz and R-Truth out of the door, but both men are refusing to budge.

Obviously hearing the commotion, Triple H then arrives from the scene, pushing through the guards to get to The Awesome Truth.

Triple H: Look guys, you can either leave quietly or I’m going to have to ban you for a lot longer than 2 hours.

The Miz: You can’t do this to us. We are The Awesome Truth!!

R-Truth: It’s a God-damn conspiracy!

Triple H: I’ve had enough of this... Pay rise for whoever gets them out.

Like that, all of the guards then pile on The Awesome Truth, finally bundling them OUT OF THE DOOR, to a LOUD pop in the arena. Triple H then walks away from the scene as the camera focuses on the door in the centre of the frame, and we can hear The Miz banging on it from the other side and trying to shout through.

Back to the arena, however.

There is a big pop, as we see the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov burst out onto the stage; Kozlov being in action tonight.

Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, accompanied by Santino Marella, from Moscow, Russia, weighing 302 pounds, VLADIMIR KOZLOV!

Michael Cole: Going from two most entertaining men on Raw to the two most boring men...

Jerry Lawler: What?! Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov are the most entertaining men in the whole WWE! The two most boring men are the guys that they are facing at Night of Champions!

Michael Cole: You know nothing, Lawler.

The Odd Couple are now in the ring, with Santino quickly giving Kozlov a massage on his shoulders to calm his partner’s nerves, as their music dies down to be replaced by...

There is some heat for the WWE Tag Team Champions, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty, with Otunga dressed in a full suit with his belt over his shoulder, and McGillicutty wearing his beanie hat and his title belt around his waist.

Justin Roberts: And his opponent, accompanied by David Otunga, from Champlain, Minnesota, weighing 227 pounds, he is one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions... Michael MC-GILLI-CUTTTYY!!!

Jerry Lawler: I hope this one is quick; I can’t stand to watch these guys.

Michael Cole: What do you mean?! These two men are the future of the WWE, and I don’t know why people are always so bummed out on them! They’re fun!

Jerry Lawler: Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov are fun, these two... are BORING.

The Tag Champions get into the ring, and stare down their opponents in less than three weeks’ time, before Otunga walks across the ring to give Jerry Lawler a hard stare, before then returning into the centre to talk some tactics with his partner.

Jerry Lawler: I don’t know what the hell he thought he was looking at.

Otunga and Marella then leave the ring, leaving the referee to brief the two men that are competing. The ref seems happy with everything and he then singles for the bell.

Match One:
Vladimir Kozlov
w/ Santino Marella vs Michael McGillicutty w/ David Otunga

The match starts with Kozlov going straight after McGillicutty, all guns blazing. The tag champ uses the ropes as a means to stay away, but after a few times of the referee preventing Kozlov from getting at his opponent; but then the referee tells McGillicutty that it is time to fight now, so Kozlov then takes immediate advantage by bulldozing him into the corner and then connecting with a flurry of headbutts and shoulders to the midsection. Kozlov then throws McGillicutty over his head out of the corner and then Mike falls into the opposite corner, so Kozlov runs in, but is met by a boot to the face from his opponent, knocking him back. McGillicutty then runs in and goes for the McGillicutter early on, but then Kozlov counters and flattens Mike with a boot to the chest, which sends one half of the tag champs out of the ring under the bottom rope.

Kozlov goes to follow up, but the referee prevents him from doing so; this happens as Otunga goes around to his partner, trying to get him up to his feet. Santino tries to come over and get involved... but he is met with a CHEAP SHOT FROM OTUNGA! The fans give big heat, as Otunga doesn’t seem to regret his actions one bit. Jerry Lawler even stands up at the announce table, with Otunga then pointing at him, as the referee then exits the ring, and checks on Santino... BEFORE SENDING OTUNGA ON HIS WAY! The fans now cheer, and King starts applauding on commentary, as Otunga and McGillicutty now protest the refereee’s call, as now Otunag seems to continue arguing his case, as the referee now has to escort him up the ramp, allowing Santino to grab McGillicutty, and then roll him into the ring... for a waiting Kozlov! McGillicutty springs up to his feet, and then looks petrified at the Moscow Mauler standing in front of him, and he then turns to exit... COBRA!! Santino was up on the apron, and just as he gets down, the referee starts running back into the ring, just as McGillicutty gets back up to his feet, before planting him with the Iron Curtain!! Kozlov then jumps down into the cover...One...Two...Three!

Winner: Vladimir Kozlov (4.24)

Justin Roberts: Here is your winner, VLADIMIR KOZLOV!!

Jerry Lawler: Well it seems that turnabout is fair play! Last week, McGillicutty cost Santino, but the roles were reversed tonight!

Michael Cole: Someone punish that man! Santino had no reason to do that, why did he get involved?

Santino starts playing his trombone, with Kozlov joining in soon after; the number one contenders then start eyeing up the tag team championships that are being given to the champions; McGillicutty having been pulled out of the ring by Otunga.

Jerry Lawler: Well a great start to tonight’s show, and we’ve still got a lot more for ya; but now we are going to pass over to well, not Scott Stanford, but Matt Striker.

We go to the interview area, and Matt Striker stands there solemnly, before addressing the WWE Universe.

Matt Striker: Unfortunately, Scott Stanford will not be appearing on Raw for some time due to the heinous assault by Jack Swagger that occurred this past weekend. So I’ll be taking over his interviewing duties until Scott is back. So my first guest is one that I know that Scott would have wanted to interview; Scott’s close personal friend, “Long Island Iced Z!” Zack Ryder.

To a HUGE pop, Zack Ryder then walks into the frame and he noticeably isn’t wearing any of his merchandise other than his headband, dressed to compete. Ryder looks very angry also.

Zack Ryder: Matt, if it is cool bro, I’d like to just get straight to the point.

Striker then holds his hands up and then moves out of shot, the camera then centering onto Ryder.

Zack Ryder: Jack Swagger... what you did was not cool, bro. I know you may not like that I’ve beaten you twice in a row but to trick my bro Scott Stanford into coming to your house just so you can beat on him...

Ryder then wipes his chin, the rage behind his eyes clear.

Zack Ryder: You just don’t do that!! Scott didn’t want any trouble, and neither did I.

The rage is building up even more now.

Zack Ryder: I’m gonna keep this short and sweet... Tonight, Jack Swagger, you’re luck isn’t gonna get any better because I’m going to FIST-PUMP YOUR FACE!

The fans give a solid pop, as the camera back up a little to show more of Ryder.

Zack Ryder: Woo Woo Woo... You know it, BRO.

Ryder then curls his lip, almost spitting the last word out and then marches off, to a solid reaction from the fans. The camera then pans back to Striker and he seems a little taken aback.

Michael Cole: Will Zack Ryder be able to get some revenge against Jack Swagger? Find out next on Monday Night Raw!

There is a big pop, as Zack Ryder storms out through the curtain and out onto the stage. He is still wearing his headband, but he throws it into the crowd as he walks down to the ring, not bothering with slapping hands with the fans, looking extremely focused.

Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Long Island, New York, “Long Island Iced Z!” ZACK RYDERRRRR!!

Michael Cole: Well here we see an emotional, vengeful Zack Ryder, wanting to get back at Jack Swagger for his cruel beat down on Ryder’s close personal friend Scott Stanford this past weekend.

Jerry Lawler: I really hope that Jack Swagger gets what is coming to him tonight; there is no excuse for what he did to Scott Stanford.

Michael Cole: Swagger should feel no remorse for what he did; Zack Ryder has embarrassed him these past two weeks; Swagger was just getting a measure of revenge!

Ryder gets into the ring, and then stands facing the stage; waiting.

DEAFENING heat in the arena, as Jack Swagger emerges from the back. Ryder is being restrained by the referee in the ring as Swagger saunters down the ramp, smirking as he does so, staring right into Ryder’s eyes.

Jerry Lawler: I can’t believe the measures that Jack Swagger went to in order to get some payback on Zack Ryder. He should have been suspended for what he did.

Michael Cole: We understand that Jack Swagger was fined twenty-thousand dollars for his actions this past weekend, and now he has to face anything that Zack Ryder wants to throw at him.

Swagger steps up onto the apron, and looks straight at Ryder. Ryder glares back at him and tells him to get into the ring, but Swagger simply stands on the apron looking at Ryder.

Jerry Lawler: What is Swagger doing? Get in there and face him like a man!

Ryder tries advancing forward but he is cut off by the referee; who now tells Swagger to get into the ring himself so the match can start. Swagger starts smirking now, as Ryder is irate.

Michael Cole: Not even I know what Jack Swagger is trying to do here, King.

Swagger carries on smiling at Ryder, before he then jumps backwards back onto the floor! Still with his eyes locked on Ryder in the ring, Swagger then starts backing up the ramp slowly, before saying “Not tonight.” And then turning around, and starts walking to the back! The crowd starts too boo even louder than before, as Swagger has his goofy smile plastered across his face as he turns around to see Zack Ryder shaking with anger in the ring; before Swagger walks behind the curtain and out of the arena.

Jerry Lawler: What a coward! First, he attacks an interviewer and then he isn’t even able to face Zack Ryder and the consequences!!

Michael Cole: That was probably a smart move on Swagger’s part, King. Ryder looks pumped tonight.

In the ring, Ryder complains to the referee but there is nothing he can do; Ryder kicking the ropes in frustration, as we fade out to somewhere in the back...

We see Drew McIntyre applying some wrist tape around his arm, sitting in a locker room. We then hear the door close and Drew looks up and smiles. The camera then pans around slightly to see the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero walk into the shot to some heat in the arena. Ziggler and McIntyre then share a handshake

Drew McIntyre: What can I do f’ ya, partner?

Vickie Guerrero: Drew, we came here to offer you a fantastic opportunity; one that is too good to pass up.

Mac looks slightly confused, but then ushers Vickie on.

Drew McIntyre: I’m listening.

Vickie Guerrero: Now we know that you’re teaming up with Dolph tonight to face Alex Riley and that little runt Rey Mysterio, and-

A big pop for the mention of Mysterio cuts Guerrero off. She then looks angrily towards the ceiling before composing herself and carrying on.

Vickie Guerrero: We saw how close you came to beating Rey Mysterio last week, and as you probably know; our mission is to rid the WWE of Rey Mysterio.

Heat; Ziggler starts grinning and patting his championship.

Vickie Guerrero: So in the match tonight... if you are able to take Rey Mysterio out and get him out of our hair... permanently; I’ll extend to you the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join my exclusive managerial clientele.

Drew starts to smirk, as the fans in the arena carry on booing.

Vickie Guerrero: Just look at the heights I’ve taken Dolph; He’s the United States Champion, a former World Heavyweight Champion... All of this can be yours if you do one little thing for us tonight.

Ziggler bears a huge cocky grin, as McIntyre smiles broadly.

Drew McIntyre: You’ve got yourselves a deal.

With that, McIntyre rapidly shakes hands with both Guerrero and Ziggler.

Vickie Guerrero: I knew you’d make the smart choice, Drew. We’ll see you out there later on.

Dolph and Vickie then walk out of the shot, to a smattering of heat; McIntyre sits back down and continues his preparations.

We are shown a short video highlighting the events of last week’s Smackdown; where we learnt that Theodore Long’s job is in jeopardy and we are then shown highlights of the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship, in what was Christian’s last chance whilst Randy Orton is champion... in a FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH. We are shown Christian slamming a door into Orton, and then battering him with a chair, before the final finishing move of the night; an RKO onto the exposed concrete at ringside, the video ending showing Orton standing tall with the championship as Christian is loaded onto a stretcher.

Back in the arena now, and we see Alicia Fox in the ring; she is playing to the fans as her match is up next.

Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw; we are set for some Diva action, but you just saw the events of Smackdown last Friday and we now know that Theodore Long is under pressure to keep control of Smackdown otherwise he will lose his job. I can’t wait for him to go!

Jerry Lawler: It’s a shame that Teddy has been put in this position but hopefully he can get things under control; all of us here on Raw wish him the best of luck. But anyway, Michael, we’ve got some Divas now! Look at Alicia Fox!

Fox’s music starts to die down now, as we see a sweeping shot of the crowd as we wait for her opponent...

To a mixed reaction; “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix and her Divas of Doom partner, Natalya Neidhart march out from behind the curtains, both glaring at Alicia Fox in the ring.

Michael Cole: When someone mentions the women here in WWE; no one cares about the Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, everyone talks about these two women; especially Beth Phoenix.

Jerry Lawler: Well we know out next Pay-Per-View event, Night of Champions, is held in Beth’s hometown of Buffalo, so she is desperate to be named the number one contender to the Divas championship; and I’ll admit; she has been DOMINANT since Summerslam where she failed to win the title.

Michael Cole: The fact she hasn’t been named number one contender is a travesty I feel. She pinned the champion last week!

The Divas of Doom are now in the ring; as Justin Roberts is ready to start the introductions.

Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall-

Beth Phoenix: Shut up!

Phoenix snatches the mic out of the announcer’s hands, as the WWE Universe now boo her for her actions.

Beth Phoenix: I want everybody to take note of what I am about to do to this woman. I am going to beat her senseless until I am named the number one contender for the Divas Championship that I deserve.

Beth Phoenix: On Smackdown, Teddy Long thought he could threaten me and not give me a title shot... how DARE he think he can talk to the most dominant woman in this company’s history like that!

Phoenix starts to circle the ring as Fox is getting impatient.

Beth Phoenix: After I dismantle Alicia Fox I want Triple H, John Laurinaitis, anyone with the power to make a match to come down here and give me my shot!

Phoenix then hands the mic to Natalya, who leaves the ring with it and the referee rings the bell to start the match.

Match Two:
Alicia Fox vs Beth Phoenix
w/ Natalya

Phoenix is in no mood to mess around tonight; as soon as the bell rings she charges at Fox and takes her down in the corner, before starting to stomp away Fox’ midsection. The referee has to come in and separate the two women, but Phoenix then gets Fox back to her feet straight afterwards and levels her with a clothesline! Phoenix then grabs a hand full of hair and starts ramming Fox’s head against the ground. Phoenix then takes Fox up and then drops her gut first across the knee and then signals that she has had enough, before taking Fox up and planting her with the GLAM SLAM!! The fans know this is over and then count along with the referee...One...Two...Three!

Winner: Beth Phoenix (1.12)

Justin Roberts: Here is your winner... The Glamazon... BETH PHOENIX!

There is a big pop as it is not Beth’s music we hear, but that of the COO of the WWE, Triple H, making his second appearance of the night. He has a microphone in hand.

Triple H: Okay Beth, I hear ya; you want a title shot.

The Game starts pacing, as Beth has a look saying “Well, obviously”

Triple H: And I find it hard to argue with that performance right there, so I’ll tell you what is going to happen... if you apologize to Theodore Long this Friday on Smackdown for going against his order of not appearing after Kelly’s match with Natalya... You’ve got your match at Night of Champions against Kelly Kelly for the Divas Championship.

A mixed reaction, as Beth smiles along with Natalya after finally getting what they wanted.

Michael Cole: Finally! Finally! Beth finally gets what she deserves! YES!

Jerry Lawler: But do you really expect her to apologize to Teddy Long?

Michael Cole: I’m sure Long will see things Beth’s way soon enough; but all I know now is that Kelly Kelly’s days as champion are numbered... 20 to be exact.

We return from commercial, and we can see that we are in an office, and we see a man’s feet, the camera pans upwards to see that they belong to the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. He gets a negative reaction from the Green Bay fans; we can see that he is finishing up a phonecall.

John Laurinaitis: ... Yes. I’ll let him know, thank you.

He hangs up the phone, and then has a heavy sigh, as Triple H then walks into the shot!

John Laurinaitis: Ahh, Hunter, I was just waiting for you; I’ve got-

Triple H: Who was that?

John Laurinaitis: It was the Head of Security from the arena we used in Richmond two weeks ago. He said that Kevin Nash had bought a ticket and then jumped the rail during the WWE Championship Match.

Triple H: And what about at Summerslam?

John Laurinaitis: The exact same thing.

“The Game” seems confused now, and then seems like he has an idea.

Triple H: Good work, John. I’ll go speak to the ticket vendor here tonight and see if he’s let Nash in. Thanks, kid.

Triple H turns around and leaves, and Laurinaitis’ face turns extremely sour after being referred to as “kid”. The fans in the arena boo as we see John pull the same face that he pulled two weeks ago; a sinister smile. Suddenly though, his face turns from a smile to complete shock, as we hear the door of the room close, and the camera zooms out a little to see that CM PUNK has walked into the office!

John Laurinaitis: What are you doing here?

CM Punk: Oh, I was just coming by to speak to you, actually. I think it was really cute what you did to me last week, you know, putting me in a match with Tyler Reks right there on the spot.

Punk then broadly smiles.

CM Punk: Was that really the best you could have found? Anyway, I came here to let you know that I am launching my own official investigation as to why Kevin Nash has cost ME the WWE Championship TWICE. And as Awesome Truth aren’t around attacking anybody tonight and I get to deal with them in the main event; I thought I’d come and ask you a few questions.

John Laurinaitis: I have nothing to say to you, Punk.

CM Punk: See, I thought you’d be like this, FUNK-man. I know that there is just something about me that makes your blood boil; something that you just can’t stand.

CM Punk edges closer to Laurinaitis now.

CM Punk: I know that if there is anyone that doesn’t want me to be WWE Champion... it is you.

Laurinaitis looks taken aback, and the fans pop, as Punk seems to be getting more serious with every word.

CM Punk: I’ve never spoken to Kevin Nash; he had no reason to attack me off of his own accord, because I’ve never done anything wrong to the guy. So that means that someone must have put him up to it. That someone is you.

A LARGE pop meets that final line, and Laurinaitis is now bordering on boiling point.

John Laurinaitis: SHUT UP! Punk, you’re right, I don’t like you and I don’t think you have the right image of the champion that should be representing this company!

A bigger pop now, as Punk starts nodding his head, and smiling.

CM Punk: Just as I thought; You couldn’t take me being on top-

John Laurinaitis: - But I didn’t order that hit out on you.

Punk doesn’t seem so sure, and then he squares up to Punk, nose to nose.

John Laurinaitis: Punk, I’ll have you know that you do not intimidate me; and if I wanted you out of the WWE that badly, (snarling) I’d do it myself.

Punk then moves his head back and then smiles again.

John Laurinaitis: So do not come into my office and make accusations at me again, otherwise I’ll make sure you never wrestle in a WWE ring EVER again.

There is heat now, as Punk seems to have bitten off more than he can chew with Laurinaitis, and the former WWE Champion starts backing away slowly...

CM Punk: If you wanna fight, Funkman, I’ve got no problem putting you to sleep.

A good pop now as Punk finally turns around and leaves; Laurinaitis looking furious as we fade out.

A quick montage of a referee holding up each championship belt one by one is shown.

Narrator: It is the Night...

Randy Orton then stands on the top rope with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist.

Narrator: ... Of CHAMPIONS!

Back into the arena and we see a shot of the commentators, as the crowd seems excited for the rest of the show.

Michael Cole: Of course on September 18th the WWE presents Night of Champions, from the Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York, in association with Light Strike!

Jerry Lawler: It is great to see the card building up as we get ever close to the Pay-Per-View, I think the one match that everyone is going to talk the most about though going into the event is the Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship! Alberto Del Rio will have a big task ahead of him as he defend his championship against five other men!

Michael Cole: in what will be Del Rio’s second ever defence of the WWE Championship, he will face John Cena, CM Punk, The Miz, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston. Just think of all of the different issues and rivalries are going into this match; it seems there aren’t many friends going into this one.

Jerry Lawler: Well, and in that environment where it is in effect every man for himself, it is good to have friends, as then you can work together and eliminate other competitors.

Michael Cole: Well the WWE Championship Match is not going to be the only Six-Pack Challenge that we’re going to see; the World Heavyweight Championship from Smackdown will also be contested in a Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions.

Jerry Lawler: Randy Orton is riding a wave of momentum coming off that huge win this past Friday, but we already know that Mark Henry and Wade Barrett have also qualified for that match; both men in search for their first World Heavyweight Championship.

Michael Cole: We’ve been informed that we will learn who the other three men competing in that match are this Friday night on Smackdown!

Jerry Lawler: What about the Tag Team Championship Match? We know that The World’s Most Boring Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty will defend their titles against Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov; I can’t wait to see that one!

Michael Cole: Well, earlier tonight, Kozlov defeated McGillicutty after some interference from Marella getting revenge for last week on Raw.

Jerry Lawler: These two teams are going to leave it all in the ring come Night of Champions.

Michael Cole: There are still more matches to be decided as we have just less than three weeks to go!! But right now, we are going to take you once again to our temporary Raw Interviewer Matt Striker. Take it away, Matt!

The camera then goes backstage to the interview area, and Matt Striker is standing ready.

Matt Striker: Ladies and Gentlemen, my guest at this time is one of the six men competing for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions and the man who will be taking on the WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio in just a few moments... he is Kofi Kingston.

The camera widens so Kofi Kingston can be seen in shot, and Kingston looks happy to be there. Kingston garners a good pop from the fans in the arena.

Matt Striker: Kofi, at Night of Champions, you are going into the biggest match of your career so far... what are your thoughts on your opponents at Night of Champions?

Kofi Kingston: That’s a good question, Matt. Well, I could stand here and try to run down all of my opponents and makes jokes about them, but that isn’t how I do things.

Kingston then punches Striker on the shoulder in a joking fashion.

Kofi Kingston: Matt, what I think you should be asking is what my opponent’s thoughts are on me. All week, ever since it was announced that I am going to be part of the WWE Championship Match... people have doubted me.

Kofi looks a little annoyed as he is saying this.

Kofi Kingston: Whether it be The Awesome Truth, Michael Cole, Alberto Del Rio... whoever; everyone has been ruling me out. I know that I have the least big match experience out of everyone in the match... I know. But that could work to my advantage.

A big pop, as Kingston starts smiling again.

Kofi Kingston: No one is going to know what to expect from me, and I plan on delivering. At Night of Champions, I plan on becoming the first ever African-born WWE Champion. I am going to silence all of my doubters and win the WWE Championship.

The crowd are really getting behind Kofi now.

Kofi Kingston: I’m going to prove everybody wrong at Night of Champions, but I might as well start tonight; by beating the WWE Champion.

A LOUD pop for Kingston, who then shakes Striker’s hand and leaves the set as we go to another commercial.

We hear the sounds of a car horn beeping, and then we see a Bentley start to pull up at the side of the ramp, which means only one thing... the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio!! There is no sign of Ricardo Rodriguez after his Attitude Adjustment from John Cena last week, and Del Rio doesn’t seem very happy about it, and having to settle for a Justin Roberts introduction instead.

Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, weighing in at 239 pounds, he is the WWE CHAMPIONNN, ALBERTO DEL RIO!!!

Michael Cole: Poor Aberto, having to listen to that hack Justin Roberts do his introduction, bring back Rodriguez!

Jerry Lawler: I think that Alberto Del Rio should be more worried about Night of Champions, as well as Kofi Kingston tonight!

Michael Cole: As Kofi Kingston said before our commercial break, tonight is his chance to silence all of his critics; myself included, that he belongs in the main event.

Del Rio had gotten out of his car and done his shower of pyro as he walks down the ramp. The WWE Champion is now in the ring, with a microphone, because obviously he has something to say...

Alberto Del Rio: Now everyone can see why I employ my own... personal... ring announcer.

Some heat, as Cole laughs at Justin Roberts and Del Rio chuckles to himself.

Alberto Del Rio: My name... is Alberto Del Rio, and I am the WWE Champione!

Del Rio smirks as he gets ready to say his next bit.

Alberto Del Rio: But you already know that! Haha!

HEAT, as Del Rio revels in the amount of fans he is annoying.

Alberto Del Rio: But, the odds of me keeping this WWE Championship at the NIGHT of Championés, it’s not good. But I am the greatest WWE Championé of all time, so I will no problem beating all those other dogs.

Some heat, as Del Rio looks serious now.

Alberto Del Rio: The biggest dog of them all, John Cena. He walks around like he owns the whole place, but this... this is my show, and it will be for a long... long... long... LONG time. I’m disrespected that tonight I have to face the least worthy of all my challengers at the Night of Championés, that perro, Kofi Kingston.

Del Rio smirks as the WWE Universe start a “KINGSTON” chant.

Alberto Del Rio: The thing about Kofi Kingston-

There is a HUGE pop, as we finally have someone to come out here and shut Del Rio up, his opponent Kofi Kingston. Kingston looks determined as he doesn’t keep his eyes off of Del Rio as he does his Boom Claps to set off his pyro.

Jerry Lawler: As a friend of mine would say, business is about to pick up!

Michael Cole: Kofi Kingston, perhaps the most undeserving man fighting for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions.

Kingston then sprints into the ring, and tackles Del Rio to the floor!! This one has started.

Match Three:
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi Kingston

Kingston starts off by unloading off on Del Rio, with rights and left, until the ref has to intervene. Kofi springs back up to his feet and waits for Del Rio, and when the champion gets up; Kingston runs and connects with a huge jumping clothesline! Both men get up quickly again, and Kingston scores with another one! Kingston then whips Del Rio into the ropes and when he comes back he does a Back Body Drop, sending the WWE Champion crashing down onto his back. Kingston goes in for a cover, but Del Rio kicks out at one. Kofi gets back up and is straight back on the aggressive, flicking Del Rio over with a couple of arm drags, before jumping over the charging Del Rio, and then connecting with a dropkick to the champion’s face!! Kofi then goes in for another cover ...One...Two- Del Rio kicks out!

Kofi has the champion on the ropes now, and then chops him in the chest to take him down as he rises to his feet. Del Rio then uses the ropes to get back up to his feet, and as Kofi charges at him, Del Rio elevates him upwards and flapjacks Kingston onto the top rope! Del Rio turns the match around as quickly as that and Kingston lies on the mat clutching his throat. Del Rio then starts stomping away on Kofi’s throat and neck. Del Rio then sits Kingston up, before rebounding off of the ropes and then dropkicking Kingston in the face, knocking him down to the mat! Del Rio then steps out onto the apron and then slingshots himself over onto Kingston with a Flip Senton... TOPE ATOMICO! The fans give a mixed reaction for the move, some booing because it was Del Rio that did it, but others cheer as it looked pretty sweet. Del Rio opts against the cover, and instead decides to picks Kingston up, and throws him out of the ring onto the floor outside!

Kingston lands hard on the floor in front of the announce table, and Del Rio then waits for Kofi to get back to his feet, and then launch himself over the top rope... DEL RIO CONNECTS WITH THE CROSS BODY!! Both men land in a heap as we go to commercial.

We’re back from commercial, and see that Del Rio has Kingston locked in a Dragon Sleeper Hold; replays from the commercial show Del Rio starting to get to work on Kingston’s arm by forcing him into the steel ring post and then doing the double-knee arm breaker, both damaging Kofi’s left arm. Kingston flails around as he tries to break the hold of the WWE Champion, but Del Rio only locks it in more, applying body scissors as well as the hold. Kofi then manages to roll onto his side, and then manages to roll his body towards the ropes, but Del Rio is fighting to keep him away... KINGSTON REACHES THE ROPES!! The fans are relieved as Del Rio is forced to release the hold.

Del Rio gets to his feet, looking extremely annoyed, and he then ushers Kingston up to his feet also, calling him “perro” and a dog as he does. Del Rio tries to whip Kingston into the turnbuckle, but Kofi turns it around, and then Del Rio crashes into the corner. Kingston then runs in and leaps onto the top turnbuckle!! Kofi then hammers Del Rio in the head with a couple of right hands, before jumping back down to the mat and taking Del Rio overhead into the centre of the ring with a Monkey Flip! Kingston then waits on Del Rio to get up, and then runs in... TILT-A-WHIRL BACKBREAKER!! Del Rio catches Kingston completely off guard and then covers... One... Two... NO!!

The champion is even more frustrated now, and then he decides to climb up the top rope. He waits on Kofi to get back to his feet, and then goes for a diving cross body... But no one is home!! Del Rio crashes against the mat and lands flat on his back! Kingston then sees where Del Rio is before rebounding off of the ropes... “BOOM BOOM”... BOOM DROP!! The fans become alive, as Kingston takes a few steps back and then starts clapping... the fans joining in. Del Rio gets to his feet... TROUBLE IN PARADISE? NO! Del Rio ducks and then pushes Kingston into the corner! ADR charges in... but Kofi kicks his feet up; catching Del Rio in the face and then rolling onto the top turnbuckle!! Kofi looks set to jump, but Del Rio then pushes the ropes... CROTCHING KINGSTON!!!
The fans cry “Ohh!” as Kofi sells the pain, but Del Rio then runs at Kofi and catches him with an Enziguiri to the back of the head!! Kofi rolls off of the top rope, and then lands on his knees. Del Rio then grabs him from behind, and brings him all the way across the ring before hurling Kofi through the opposite turnbuckles, sending Kofi’s shoulder into the steel ring post!! Kofi then stumbles back into the centre of the ring to the waiting Del Rio... CROSS ARMBREAKER!! Del Rio has Kofi locked in, and Kingston screams in pain!! He tries to find the ropes once again, but he has no choice but to TAP OUT!!

Winner: Alberto Del Rio (14.34)

Del Rio then releases the hold, and is given his WWE Championship to hold, and he grabs it and holds it to his chest like a newborn child; maybe now finally realising how much danger there is of him losing it at Night of Champions.

Michael Cole: Okay, I’ll give the devil his due here... Kofi Kingston just took Alberto Del Rio to his limit.

Jerry Lawler: How noble of you, Michael. But I think that Alberto Del Rio has realised just how hard it is going to be at Night of Champions, and Kofi Kingston I think despite losing tonight, has silenced a few critics.

Michael Cole: I still give him no chance at the Pay-Per-View, but tonight he did okay.

Lawler settles for Cole acting like a normal person, as Del Rio now has his arm raised by the referee, and then looks down on the dejected Kofi Kingston; looking happy with his victory.

*Video Package*

We are in the same dimly lit ring as last week, and we see the same hulking huge figure of Brodus Clay standing in the centre of it.

Brodus Clay: Deception.

We cut to Clay charging across the ring and crushing a much smaller man in the corner.

Brodus Clay: The human eye can be easily deceived by what they see in front of them.

Clay then rebounds off of the ropes and flattens the poor man with an impactful Running Cross Body.

Brodus Clay: When one sees a rhinoceros; at first glance they see a big, grey, pile of fat with a horn.

A different man runs at Clay now, but he runs into Clay’s head and drops to the mat in a head.

Brodus Clay: But what they actually see is an unstoppable force that cannot be stopped by any man.

Clay then takes another man up onto his shoulders, before ramming his back into the turnbuckle and then turns him around and scores with a Running Powerslam!!

Brodus Clay: I’m unstoppable.

Another man is thumped in the face with a right hand, and then another with a big boot and then another one with a overhead suplex.

Brodus Clay: I’m Brodus Clay...

A quick montage of all of the damage done to these men in this video with a drum beat when each one connects, before the camera then comes right in close to Clay’s face.

Brodus Clay: ...and I’m comin’.

*End Video Package*

Kofi Kingston is in the back, with an icepack on his shoulder, looking dejected over his loss. Suddenly, to a mixed reaction JOHN CENA walks into the shot, clad in his t-shirt and hat, and he then goes and pats Kofi on his other shoulder.

John Cena: Kof’, you shut a hella lotta people up t’night, and you proved that you should be up there with the best.

Kofi Kingston: Thanks, John; you’re a good friend... But I really feel like I coulda had him, you know?

John Cena: Kofi, on another night, you’da probably had ‘im, don’t worry. I got some last minute stuff before I have to face Awesome Truth again, so I’ll catch you after the show.

With that, Cena walks off, and Kofi is left continuing his walk.

Michael Cole: Well, Kofi Kingston still upset about his loss to Alberto Del Rio, but up next, we’ll see the United States Champion in tag team action!

We return, and we catch the end of Dolph Ziggler’s music playing, and the US Champion is in the ring; talking tactics with his manager Vickie Guerrero, and their next potential client; Drew McIntyre.

Michael Cole: As you can see the United States Champion is in the ring and tonight he teams with Drew McIntyre!!

Jerry Lawler: I’m still shocked at what Dolph and Vickie said about Rey Mysterio last week, Cole! They want to rid the WWE of Rey Mysterio!

Michael Cole: I’ve got no complaints about that!

Jerry Lawler: You make me sick.

There is a big pop in the arena, as Rey Mysterio jumps out onto the stage, with Alex Riley in tow, and the two men then both set off Rey’s pyro, before they both walk down the ramp, eyeing up their rivals. Rey gives his overmask to a young fan at ringside, as Riley steps up onto the apron, with Rey joining him. Guerrero exits the ring with the US Title, and this match is ready to go!

Match Four:
Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre
w/ Vickie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley

Ziggler and Riley are the ones that start the match and it is the United States Champion that gets the early advantage, as he is able to pick his spots early on and starts only taking shots from behind, and that puts Riley on the back foot. McIntyre is then tagged in and starts pounding away on his rival, and he has Riley trapped in his team’s corner, stomping away at his chest. The ref tries to break it up, but McIntyre fails to stop, but does when threatened with disqualification.
McIntyre then takes Riley into the centre of the ring and applies a headlock, but A-Ry is able to get himself out of it and pushes Drew into the ropes and connects with a back body drop. Riley then gets Mysterio involved for the first time in the match, who springboards into the match and then takes McIntyre down with a Seated Senton!! The fans pop as Rey makes the first cover of the match... but Drew kicks out at two! Mysterio then lines McIntyre up and dropkicks him in the face!! Mysterio then catches Ziggler’s gaze and points at the US Champ, signifying that he wants Ziggler in the ring.

Drew then tags in Dolph, who comes in and squares up to Mysterio... WHO REPLIES WITH A SLAP TO THE FACE!!! Ziggler stumbles back, as Mysterio then runs in and hits his signature Bulldog!! Rey waits on Ziggler to get back to his feet... but Dolph quickly falls into the corner and then tags McIntyre back in! The fans boo Ziggler’s cowardice, but he simply smirks on the apron holding his chin. Mysterio starts to take it McIntyre as he gets back into the ring, successfully connecting with a dropkick to the face and then a couple of arm drags, but then Vickie Guerrero hops up onto the apron, and she and Riley start to argue, distracting the referee. Ziggler then uses the opportunity to BLINDSIDE MYSTERIO!! McIntyre then drags Rey into the corner and he and Dolph then start choking Mysterio out as the referee is still distracted. Ziggler is then tagged in as the ref turns back around.

Ziggler starts to put the boots in on Mysterio, but then the ref gets involved again, backing Ziggler off, and McIntyre then starts choking Rey against the middle turnbuckle!! Ziggler then moves the referee out of the way, and then runs at Rey in the corner and connects with a Stinger Splash!! Dolph rolls Mysterio forward so he is sitting up, and Ziggler then comes in behind him and jumps forward and snaps Mysterio’s neck forwards!! Dolph then goes in for the cover but he is unable to put Rey away, who kicks out at two.

Dolph then slaps on a Reverse Chinlock, and the fans start to get behind Mysterio. Mysterio struggles for a good thirty seconds in the hold, but then manages to fight his way out of it! Mysterio pushes Dolph into the ropes, and the US Champ then comes back off of the ropes looking for the Leg Drop Bulldog... But Mysterio gets out of the way!! Ziggler crashes down onto his ass, and REY THEN DAMN-NEAR DECAPITATES HIM WITH A KICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD!! Mysterio drops to the mat to just sell the damage he has received from his opponents, and both men now try to crawl to their prospective partners, and Ziggler tags McIntyre in... just as MYSTERIO TAGS IN RILEY!!

A-Ry bursts into the ring and takes McIntyre down with a clothesline, and then Dolph gets one for his troubles as well! McIntyre walks right into a scoop slam, as then Dolph starts to run at the youngster, but Riley uses his momentum against him and then throws Ziggler out of the ring!! Dolph lands hard on the floor and Vickie comes to check on him, but Dolph barks for Vickie to get the United States Championship!! Meanwhile in the ring, Riley takes McIntyre down with a dropkick to the face, and McIntyre then falls back and lands across the middle rope!! The fans pop, as Riley now looks to Mysterio; and Rey is back to his feet in their corner, and Riley then tags Mysterio in! Rey enters the ring but notices ZIGGLER AND GUERRERO ARE LEAVING!! They both turn back, to see Rey staring at them, before he raises his arm, and then CONNECTS WITH THE 619 ON MCINTYRE!! Drew stumbles back into the centre of the ring to the waiting Riley, who plants him with the TKO! Drew flops down and lands on his back, and Rey then runs across the apron and scales the turnbuckle... before coming off with the MISSILE SPLASH!! Rey then hooks the leg, as the crowd and Riley count along... One... Two... Three!!

Winners: Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley (7.55)

Mysterio climbs up onto the turnbuckle, and then looks at Ziggler, who is now standing on the stage, and Rey motions once again that he wants the United States Title!!! Ziggler shakes his head furiously, as we fade to backstage...

We see the door that The Awesome Truth were thrown out of earlier tonight, and it is still surrounded by the security guards, but we see Triple H then come into the shot, and open the door, as it is time for the main event. The Miz and R-Truth then walk through the door, and they both stare a hole through the COO, and then the security guards part so they can march through them. “Burn it to the Ground” then starts playing, as Michael Cole then pops up on commentary.

Michael Cole: There they are; The Awesome Truth! The main event... its next!!

There is a lot of heat in the building; as an extremely pissed off-looking Awesome Truth make their way out from behind the curtain, both scowling as they march down to the ring.

Michael Cole: And it is time for our main event! These two men, The Miz and R-Truth; they have been running roughshod over Monday Night Raw these past couple of weeks, and tonight they could get theirs when they face the two men they have targeted in John Cena and CM Punk.

Jerry Lawler: Even though Triple H said earlier tonight that he doesn’t agree with the people complaining about these two men; deep down he still wishes that they weren’t acting how they are. I personally hope they get the crap beaten out of them tonight!

The two men both enter the ring, and neither of them bother with any theatrics; all business tonight. The camera catches The Miz’ face as he stares at the entrance ramp... his expression then gets even angrier...

A HUGE mixed reaction as usual greets John Cena, as he bounds out onto the stage, and then looks at the camera and says “Time to make it a 4-Way”, before running down the ramp and stopping at the bottom; removing his t-shirt and hat there, as he knows that he should wait for his back up before he goes in and both men in the ring look unimpressed.

Michael Cole: What a coward!! John Cena isn’t man enou-

The roof almost blows off... as CM PUNK then comes out onto the stage, and he crouches down at the bottom, and then informs us that it is now Clobberin’ Time, before chucking his t-shirt into the crowd, and he then runs down the ramp and him and Cena then slide into the ring and start taking to Awesome Truth straight away!!!

Main Event:
No Disqualification Match
CM Punk & John Cena vs The Awesome Truth

Miz and Cena are still going at it in one corner, with Cena being the aggressor, but in the opposite corner we see CM Punk trying to block some blows from R-Truth with limited success. Punk then starts to turn it around on Truth, and then he kicks him in the back of the head, sending Truth through the ropes and out onto the floor!! Cena then knees Miz in the gut and then grabs him by the back of the neck... before throwing him over the top rope so he lands right down next to Truth!! Punk and Cena then share an awkward stare, both clearly not on the best of terms as you would imagine. Cena then goes to leave the ring to follow up, on the two men who are now using each other to get back to their feet... but Punk holds him back! Cena looks confused, as Punk then runs off of the ropes and then back across the ring... SUICIDE DIVE!!! Punk collides straight into R-Truth, as Miz had gotten out of the way! Miz walks around the other side of the ring... only to be taken out with a HUGE CLOTHESLINE FROM JOHN CENA!!

Cena then scoops Miz back up and then rolls him into the ring; making Cena and Miz the legal men. Cena pounds away at Miz in the corner, as Punk is back to his feet and then goes and stands on the apron. The referee is powerless to stop Cena under the No DQ rules, but Cena then whips Miz across the ring into the opposite corner and follows him in with a clothesline! Miz stumbles out of the corner, only to be taken over by a Hip Toss from Cena!! The Cenation Leader is pumped, as he waits for Miz to get back to his feet before running through him with another clothesline!! Cena then spots Truth climbing back up onto the apron, and then runs at him and knocks him back down with a right hand!! Cena then points to Punk to go and follow up on R-Truth... and Punk looks disgusted at Cena telling him what to do.

Nevertheless, Punk then drops down from the apron, and starts walking around the ring; not taking his eyes off of Cena as he does so... and this allows R-Truth to take advantage!! Truth jacks Punk’s jaw with an uppercut, and then fires him into the steel ring steps!! In the ring, Cena is still hammering into Miz with mounted blows, but then Truth slides into the ring and boots the back of Cena’s head! Truth now starts to club Cena in the back, before getting him up and bouncing his head off of the top turnbuckle! The referee seems to give up trying to stop Truth, and he realises that he is only there now to count the pin when it comes. Miz now gets to his feet, looking a little dazed, and he then joins his partner in the corner in stomping away on Cena. The Awesome Truth then pick the former 9-time champion...before both slamming him into the turnbuckle back first!! Miz then picks Cena up and put him over his knee, and Truth then climbs up the top turnbuckle, and then comes off of the second rope with a leg drop across Cena’s neck, bending him over Miz’ knee!! Miz then goes for the first cover of the match...One...Two... No!

Slightly frustrated, Awesome Truth then gets their opponent up once again, and Miz holds Cena in place as Truth starts going at him with punches to the midsection and face... THAT IS UNTIL CM PUNK COMES SLIDING BACK INTO THE RING!! Miz drops Cena who lands in a heap, as Punk starts unloading on Truth with rights and lefts, before Miz charges in only to receive a kick to the side of the head!! Punk ducks a clothesline from Truth, and then carries him on running so he crashes into the corner! Punk then runs in... and hits the HIGH KNEE TO TRUTH!! Punk grabs him for the Bulldog, and sees Miz getting back to his feet... he waits for Miz to turn around and then scores with a BULLDOG/CLOTHESLINE COMBINATION ON AWESOME TRUTH!!! Punk now goes for the cover on Miz...One... Miz kicks out! Punk then goes for one on Truth...One...Tw-Truth kicks out!! Punk then starts getting back to his feet, but MIZ FROM BEHIND!! Miz sees Cena then trying to get back into this on the apron, but runs at him with a boot to the face and knocks Cena down onto the floor.
Punk starts to recover from the shot from behind by Miz, but The Awesome One is right back at him with another clubbing blow from behind; killing any and all momentum Punk had a couple of minutes ago. Miz then helps Truth back to his feet, and they then start stomping away on Punk, much like their backstage assault last week. Miz then starts leading traffic, and tells Truth to gets Punk up. Truth then pushes Punk forwards... right into a Big Boot from The Miz!! Awesome Truth then start stomping around the ring, as they wait for Punk to get up again, and when he does, Miz then plants him with a Swinging Neckbreaker!! Cena then climbs up onto the apron, but then Truth runs in and knees Cena in the face, knocking him back down to the floor.

With Punk isolated, Truth picks the former WWE Champion up... only to slap him in the face!! The fans boo The Awesome Truth, as Truth then goes out to ringside, as Miz holds Punk carries on the beating in the ring. Cena is down near the timekeeper’s table, and Truth approaches him... CHAIR SHOT FROM CENA!! The chair connects with Truth’s gut, and then Cena throws him into the timekeeper’s table! Cena now, chair in hand starts walking towards the ring, but Miz sees him coming, and meets him with boots as he comes in, but Cena pushes him back!! Cena then charges and takes Miz down with a clothesline, and then a shoulder block and then another one! The males in attendance start booing now as Cena takes Miz for a ride with the Blue Thunder Bomb... “YOU CAN’T SEE ME!!”, but as Cena runs against the ropes he is tripped up by R-Truth!! Truth then grabs Cena’s ankle and pulls him out of the ring, before picking up the chair and cracking it over Cena’s back!!! Cena falls to the floor, as Truth re-enters the ring with the chair, as CM Punk is now getting back up to his feet... and TRUTH CHARGES IN WITH THE CHAIR... PUNK DUCKS AND SCOOPS HIM UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS!! The fans go wild, as Punk is ready to connect, but he is distracted by some commotion and he turns to see John Laurinaitis out on the stage?! Punk then drops Truth, and then goes over to the ropes to see what he wants, but MIZ FROM BEHIND!! Miz takes Punk down with a forearm, and then brings him to the centre of the ring, where Truth is also waiting; putting the chair into, before Miz goes behind and then hooks Punk up, and then Truth grabs on as well! LITTLE JIMMY FINALE ONTO THE CHAIR!! Miz turns Punk over and then hooks the leg... One...Two...Three!!

Winners: The Awesome Truth (13.22)

Justin Roberts: Here are your winners... The AWESOME TRUTHH!!

Cena is down on the outside still out, and Laurinaitis smirks at what happened and then turns around and walks out behind the curtain. Miz and Truth both have smug grins on their faces as their hands are raised by the referees.

Jerry Lawler: What the hell was that? John Laurinaitis just cost CM Punk!

Michael Cole: Did he? Maybe Punk should have stayed focused on the match at hand, and not at what was happening on the stage. Anyway, AWESOME TRUTH WON! What a great way to end the show!

Jerry Lawler: I’m not so sure!

Michael Cole: It doesn’t matter what Jerry Lawler thinks; Awesome Truth getting a huge win as we are getting ever closer to Night of Champions and the Six-Pack Challenge! Goodnight, folks!

The final scenes are The Miz and Truth standing on the second ropes of opposite corners, both of them revelling in the heat as Raw goes off air with Punk laid out in the centre of the ring and Cena sitting up against the announce table.

Just a bit of news to add to the card for Night of Champions.

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

Raw Feedback

First off, apologies this has taken so long but anyway…

Kicking things off with Trips was expected after what went down last week and with the title announcement as well as Awesome Truth’s antics. I like how you’re going for complete chaos throughout the company kind of storyline atm, with what happened on Smackdown and T-Long’s position being under review, now this on Raw, it’s a big challenge for Trips in his new authority role. Miz and Truth could certainly get a rub from being involved against Hunter so I don’t mind that. This segment done its job in building to the main event tonight and the No DQ stip is nice. I thought Miz was pretty well characterised here, though Truth needs to be involved a bit more that’s for sure. Security escorting them away is a nice move from Hunter.

Good win for Kozlov here, turning the tables after last week, right call.

I didn’t like this with Ryder to be honest. I like the idea of Swagger taking out his ‘bro’ but if he did do that then Ryder wouldn’t be all fist pumping and ‘Woo woo woo’s’, you would expect him to be a little more fired up, a little more intent on getting payback.

Good stuff here though from Swagger, certainly adds some extra heat to him which is always good when coming up against such a well liked face in Ryder. You’re building this one nicely for when they do meet.

Nice ploy from Vickie here in trying to get Drew to take out Mysterio, the little incentive of joining her was a smart strategy. Should be a good contest later on.

Strong words and a strong display from Beth Phoenix here, making her out to be the dominant diva that she is which is the right thing to do.

Pretty short and sweet from Trips afterwards. I would’ve liked a little bit more from him, a bit unnecessary, could’ve done that backstage but it is nice to see someone like Triple H being involved in a Divas angle.

Interesting stuff with Laurinaitis here. Punk was characterised fairly well here but Johnny not so much, I think he wouldn’t have snapped so soon, he would’ve kep that dickhead smile and simply been a sarcastic so and so to Punk for a little while longer, making Punk work hard to finally break him.

Decent interview here with Kofi. Going the underdog route is definitely the way to go with him so pleased to see that, can’t see him toppling Del Rio however.

Aaaaaaaand I was right but he certainly put up a strong showing which is all you can ask of him really. Kofi comes out looking good, as does Del Rio scoring a big win as champion.

Big Brodus on the way, should be good.

Nice contest again here and a good ending with Ziggler leaving McIntyre high and dry. I’m gonna guess Vickie blames Drew for not doing as she asked despite Ziggler bailing like that. I’m enjoying the Ziggler/Mysterio stuff at the minute and I think their match at NOC could be the show stealer. Only criticism would be that you had both Ziggler and Swagger walk away tonight, though one was before the match had began admittedly.

Another strong showing in the main event here and another interesting ending. Laurinaitis costing Punk’s certainly not a bad way to go as it keeps things going between those two, there’s endless possibilities with that and I’m interested to see what route you do end up taking, it could be gold. Big win for Awesome Truth I must add.

Overall, another decent show here. There were some nice matches towards the end and all the major angles advanced pretty smoothly tonight, be it Trips struggle in charge, Awesome Truth’s carnage, Punk/Laurinaitis, Rey/Dolph and Ryder/Swagger, things all built in one way, shape or form. Keep going, looking forward to NOC.

Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

WWE Superstars
1st September 2011

Match One: Evan Bourne vs Tyler Reks

Both men have a point to prove as neither have had that much of a chance to shine in recent weeks bar Reks' appearance on Raw last week. Tyler dominated the early going with a variety of hard hitting blows to the mid section and back of Bourne. Reks got a near fall when he countered a cross body attempt by Bourne with a boot to the face. Bourne then started to fight back, and the turning point came when he avoided an elbow drop from Reks and then delivered a series of kicks to Reks' head; leaving him unable to get up. Bourne was being slightly more ferocious than we're used to and he then scaled the turnbuckle and came off with Air Bourne to get the win.

Winner: Evan Bourne

Match Two: Trent Barretta vs Heath Slater

Slater entered with his "Guitar Hero" guitar once again and cut a promo saying how there is no one else like Heath Slater in the WWE, and that he plans on rocking all of his fans tonight.

The match starts and is over relatively quickly. We see some of Barretta's aerial prowess on show as he is able to nail a Pelé kick on Slater, getting a two count. Slater then goes on to dominate and finishes the match off with Sweetness.

Winner: Heath Slater

Match Three: Alex Riley vs Primo

Riley; coming off of his win on Raw is on fire in this match, and he takes Primo down with ease several times in the early going with some big clotheslines. Riley starts then throwing in some suplexes which please the fans and he then signals that he wants to end the match, so he gets Primo up and plants him with the TKO! Riley hooks the leg and gets the W.

Winner: Alex Riley

After the match when Riley is celebrating DREW MCINTYRE comes sprinting down the ramp and then ambushes Riley from behind! Drew starts putting the boots to Riley and he then plants him with a Future Shock DDT!

Main Event: Kaitlyn w/ AJ vs Natalya

The rookie Diva puts up a decent fight at the start; managing to connect some forearms and punches to Natalya's head; but Nattie is quickly able to turn the tide with a Discus Clothesline!! Kaitlyn drops to the mat, and Natalya starts stomping away. Kaitlyn doesn't really show any signs of a comeback, but then AJ tries to help her friend to a big cheer from the fans, she is simply tossed over the top rope... but this allows Kaitlyn to roll Natalya up for an extremely close two count! Natalya seems very angered now, and she hits a Running Powerslam on Kaitlyn, before locking in the Sharpshooter! Kaitlyn struggles for around a minute and tries to get the ropes but she eventually taps out!

Winner: Natalya

Thanks cp for your comments; much appreciated as usual, I'll get back to you! Smackdown Preview will probably be up tomorrow night.
