Friday Night Smackdown
14th October 2011
Petersen Events Center - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

We are welcomed to Smackdown by Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and Booker T, and they quickly recap the main talking points of last week; Edge being named the Assistant General Manager of Smackdown, and Mark Henry earning the right to choose who will challenge him at the Raw Supershow, and that Edge and Teddy Long have allowed Henry to choose opponents tonight for his three choices; John Morrison, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton, and we will find out Mark Henry's decision tonight.

Match One:
Tag Team Street Fight:
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs Sin Cara & William Regal

The opening contest of the night is a personal one, as both Sin Cara and William Regal try to get some revenge over the men that have caused them both a lot of trouble in their pursuits of the Intercontinental Title. The faces start off more aggressively, with Regal taking Cody Rhodes to the outside and using the ringside environment to attack the IC Champion, whilst Sin Cara uses his speed advantage to get offence in on Ted DiBiase after the attack he suffered last week. Sin Cara takes DiBiase over with a Headscissors Takedown, and then a Diving Crossbody! One...Two...Kickout! On the outside, Rhodes is able to turn things around on Regal by reversing an Irish Whip and sending the veteran crashing into the steel steps!

With DiBiase down in the ring again, Sin Cara scales the turnbuckle and steadies himself... but he's suddenly struck in the back by a STEEL CHAIR - BY CODY RHODES! Cara falls to the mat, and Rhodes comes into the ring and cracks the chair off of Sin Cara's back again! Rhodes is about to take a third shot, but Regal slides back into the ring and knocks him back with a stiff European Uppercut! Regal spots DiBiase charging in, and dodges which causes DiBiase to crash right into Rhodes in the corner! Using the situation to his advantage, Regal grabs Ted's head and drives his knees into it until DiBiase's arms go limp and he slings him out of the ring.

Rhodes is trapped in the ring with both Sin Cara and Regal now, and the two faces each take turns striking the Intercontinental Champion, and William Regal then takes him overhead with a Butterfly Suplex! One...Two...Rhodes kicks out! Regal gets Rhodes to his feet again, and holds him in position for a German Suplex, and Sin Cara then runs to the ropes and comes off and hits Rhodes with a Springboard Back Elbow, and Regal then takes Rhodes over with the German Suplex - Regal keeps the bridge! One...Two...Thr-NO! Sin Cara rolls under the bottom rope to the outside to get something, but he's cracked in the ribs with a KENDO STICK BY TED DIBIASE!

The Singapore Cane is then smacked off of Sin Cara's head which downs the luchador, and DiBiase slides into the ring and goes to town on Regal with the weapon too. Rhodes takes charge and directs DiBiase to clothesline Regal with the cane in hand, crushing Regal's throat. DiBiase props Regal up, and Rhodes comes off of the ropes and hits the Beautiful Disaster Kick! Rhodes doesn't go for the cover as he's looking to do as much damage as possible; barking for DiBiase to go back under the ring... and DiBiase pulls out a TABLE! Sliding the wood into the ring, DiBiase sets it up and then brings Regal back to his feet as instructed, and Rhodes removes his mask!

Rhodes lines Regal up with the mask, but as he's about to strike, Sin Cara slides back into the ring with a steel chair of his own and Rhodes rolls underneath the bottom rope... leaving DiBiase open for a chair shot to the back!! Rhodes starts to retreat up the ramp and Sin Cara shakes his head at him, and DiBiase doesn't know what is going on as he's struck in the side of the head with the KNEE TREMBLER from William Regal... who then rolls DiBiase's body onto the table! Cody thinks about going to help his friend, but Sin Cara points at him from the top rope... and he leaps onto DiBiase; crashing through the table! Sin Cara hooks the leg in the wreckage! One! Two! Three!

Winners: Sin Cara & William Regal (13.18)

Matt Striker is standing by with the World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry. Striker quizzes the champion; asking him what he thinks about Edge being named the Assistant General Manager, and how he has gone about choosing opponents tonight for his three potential #1 Contenders.

Henry says that he can't judge Edge's performance yet, because he is doing his job in making the matches for him tonight. The champion warns Edge, however, and tells him that someone in his physical condition shouldn't think about getting on his bad side; because he can't be responsible for his actions if Edge pisses him off. Regarding the opponents he has chosen from the Smackdown roster for Orton, Morrison and Barrett, he says that they won't be pushovers.

Striker stupidly asks if Henry himself would be able to defeat the men he's lined up, and Henry glares at the hapless interviewer and shouts "OF COURSE I CAN, BOY! This here on ma shoulder means that I'm better than everyone on this show!" Striker looks like he's shit his pants and Henry turns to the camera, "Boys, good luck in yo' matches tonight, I'll be watchin'".

Match Two:
John Morrison vs The Great Khali
w/ Jinder Mahal

John Morrison is the first to take on the opponent decided by Mark Henry, and it is in the form of the 'Punjabi Giant'; The Great Khali, who has Jinder Mahal at ringside as the brothers-in-law take their focus off of Justin Gabriel for now. Morrison tries to get in a few early shots, but he's easily palmed away by Khali, and then runs into a big boot from the big man. Khali uses the ropes for leverage and uses his boot to crush Morrison's head and uses the ring and ropes themselves to deal damage to the resilient Morrison. Mahal enjoys what he sees at ringside, and he even takes a cheap shot at Morrison whilst the referee's back is turned.

Morrison takes exception to this and at the next available chance, he dodges Khali's grasps and planchas over the top rope onto Mahal to a good pop. However, once JoMo is back into the ring, he's met with a Skull Chop from Khali, and the big man places his foot on Morrison's chest...One...Two...Morrison shoots the shoulder up! Morrison scrambles to his feet and backs into the corner, where Khali goes for another chop, but Morrison ducks and Khali's hand cracks against the top turnbuckle! The giant screams in pain, as Morrison quickly scales the corner, and he leaps at Khali, but he's caught around the throat!

There's concern in the arena as Morrison is set up for the Punjabi Plunge, but he fights out by pummeling the hand that Khali just injured, before he drops down and rebounds off of the ropes; cracking Khali in the head with the Flying Chuck Kick! Khali slowly falls down, and Morrison senses his chance as Khali happened to fall right next to the turnbuckle, and JoMo lines Khali up... and hits STARSHIP PAIN! Morrison uses both arms to hook one of the mammoth legs...One! Two! Three!!!

Winner: John Morrison (6.22)

Backstage, Teddy Long and Edge are in discussion, and the topic of Sin Cara pinning Ted DiBiase tonight comes up, and Edge asks what the next step with Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes is. Both are in agreement that Sin Cara should be given another shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Edge proposes the match take place on the Raw Supershow, but Long is adamant that the match takes place on Smackdown, and says that Cody Rhodes will defend the Intercontinental Championship in two weeks on Smackdown!

Edge is cool with that, but he says that he heard something Teddy Long said last week about "showcasing the brand" on the Raw Supershow, and he has an idea that does just that. Edge proposes the "Smackdown Showcase"; a Six-Man Tag Team Match between six of Smackdown's fastest rising stars to show just how good Smackdown is going to be, and that Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes be on opposing teams in that match as a final showdown before their IC Title Match. "You're getting pretty god at this, playa!" is Long's reply, and he agrees on the match.

Suddenly, Christian and Tyson Kidd walk into the room to boos from the fans, and Christian quickly makes a joke to Edge, asking what Long's ass smells like. Edge doesn't see the funny side, and he says that he called Christian to the office because he wants one of the men leading a team at Survivor Series to show potential recruits just how it is done. Christian is confused, but Edge informs him that Tyson Kidd was selected by Mark Henry to face Randy Orton in the main event, but he's sure that the World Champion won't mind if he changes Orton's opponent to Christian.

There's a very big protest from Christian and Kidd, and Christian tries to hide his fear by saying that it isn't fair that they are denying Tyson this opportunity, but Long cuts in and tells them not to worry, as he's arranged another match for Kidd tonight. Christian has a staredown with Edge, and tells him not to cross him again, because soon enough, he'll be the World Heavyweight Champion and there is nothing that anyone can do about it, especially Edge.

Match Three:
Tag Team Match:
The Usos vs The Showtime Players

In a rematch from WWE Superstars, The Usos look to get their win back over the newly christened 'Showtime Players', the team of Percy Watson and Titus O'Neill. Big Titus starts the match against Jey, and he does his dog barks as he mocks The Usos, but Jey cuts him off with a hard right! The Usos employ a series of quick tags in the early going; trying to wear the larger Titus down. Jimmy is able to knock Titus down with an Enziguiri, and he hooks the leg! One! Two! Watson breaks the count! Fearing the match is getting away from them already, Watson gets involved but the referee is more focused on keeping Jey at bay, allowing Watson to come back in and flatten Jimmy with a clothesline!

Once the referee's head is back on the action, Titus tags Percy into the match, who stops Uso from tagging his twin brother back into the match. The Showtime Players now have their turn to work on Jimmy Uso; Watson focuses mainly on quick strikes and O'Neill hits some big power moves. Right off the back of a Fallaway Slam, Titus hooks the leg! One...Two...Thr-NO! O'Neill slaps on a Rear Chinlock, and Jey tries his best to get the crowd to get behind Jimmy, who's able to rise up and escape the hold by lifting Titus onto his shoulders and planting him with a SAMOAN DROP!

Jimmy takes the chance whilst Titus is down to crawl over to reach and tag in his brother Jey! Seeing the fresher Uso is back into the match, Percy Watson charges out of the corner, only to be met with a Discus Elbow to the face! Watson stirs and hits the ropes, and Jimmy Uso clotheslines him over the top rope! Jimmy turns around, but right into a CLASH OF THE TITUS from O'Neill! Titus keeps Jimmy's shoulder's down for the pin, but the referee correctly tells him that he is not pinning the legal man. Not having any of it, O'Neill squares up to the official and argues his case, but he's turned around by Jey and dropped with a SUPERKICK! Jey then climbs the turnbuckle and hits a SUPERFLY SPLASH and then the pin! One! Two! Three!!!

Winners: The Usos (5.59)

Jey pumps his fist and celebrates as he helps his brother to his feet. The Usos start to celebrate getting their win back, but after a few moments they are jumped from behind by Watson and O'Neill. The Showtime Players beat down The Usos, until Fighting for Freedom come down and make the save! Curtis and Bateman dispose of both Watson and O'Neill from the ring and help The Usos back to their feet, and the two face teams shake hands for the second week in a row, however The Usos don't seem as pleased to see the would-be superheroes as they were last week.

*Commercial Break*

Match Four:
Tyson Kidd vs Trent Barretta

Kidd comes out alone, looking extremely pissed off at being denied the main event with Randy Orton, and Trent Barretta pays for it in a big way. Kidd starts off with some stiff strikes to the head and chest of the former Dudebuster, and then follows up with some various kick combinations, but Barretta is able to duck a Spinning Heel Kick and drop Kidd onto his head with a DDT. Barretta shows off a couple of his high-flying moves and lands onto Kidd with a Cross Body! One! Two! NO! Barretta tries to hit his Gobstopper knee onto Kidd, but Tyson moves out of the way and drops Trent with a Neckbreaker!

Tyson keeps on the offence for the next few minutes, staying true to his stiff kicks to the chest and legs. Kidd hits a Dragon Screw to contort Trent's knee. Kidd uses the ring post to weaken down Barretta's knee to the point where he's unable to move in the centre of the ring. Kidd then gets onto the ring apron and Slingshots into the ring and drops an elbow across Barretta's chest! Kidd then gets up and locks in the SHARPSHOOTER! It only takes a few moments but Barretta taps out!

Winner: Tyson Kidd (4.39)

Backstage, William Regal is seen watching Tyson Kidd celebrating, and the Englishman comments to himself "That boy has some serious talent." But just after that a voice comes from the background, "You think that you can beat him?" Without even looking who is there, Regal has a knowing smile and replies "You bet, sunshine." and Regal gets up to see Daniel Bryan standing behind him. Regal continues by saying that he respects Kidd's talent, but Bryan needs to remember who he is talking to.

Bryan says that he's talking to the man that he owes his career to, and he say earlier tonight that William Regal can still go with the best of them and there is no one he wants on his Survivor Series team more. Regal nods his head and shakes hands with his former student and they continue talking as we fade away.

*Commercial Break*

Match Five:
Wade Barrett vs Justin Gabriel

The very much in-form Justin Gabriel is the opponent put up against the next man hoping to impress Mark Henry, Wade Barrett. Barrett seems to take his former Nexus stablemate lightly in the opening exchanges when he is caught with a spinning kick to the jaw in the opening seconds of the match. Gabriel is able to follow up with a Hip Toss and a Leg Sweep, but Barrett rolls under the bottom rope to try and get some momentary rest, but he's wiped out by a Suicide Dive from Gabriel! Gabriel has a little difficulty getting his larger opponent back into the ring.

Gabriel is unsuccessful with a couple of pin attempts, and his luck worsens when Barrett is able to counter a clothesline attempt and then drop Gabriel with a Big Boot to the face! The Englishman then ties the South African up in the ropes and drives his knees into Gabriel's face before booting him out of the ring completely. Not wanting the count out victory; Barrett exits the ring and follows up on the outside, sending Gabriel into the ring barricade and bouncing his face off of the apron. Rolling Gabriel back into the ring, Barrett wipes him out with a clothesline before he hooks the leg! One! Two! NO!

Barrett is right back on his opponent with more of those knees to the face, something which Gabriel has no counter for at the moment, as the strikes are powerful enough to break Gabriel's guard. There are a couple of near falls following some power moves from Barrett, including a big Fall Away Slam. Barrett tries to set Gabriel up for the Wasteland, but the South African is able to counter it into a DDT, and gets another two count. Gabriel tries another clothesline, but Barrett counters and takes Gabriel for a ride with the WINDS OF CHANGE - One! Two! Thr-NO!! Barrett pounds Gabriel's face in anger as he thought he had him, before he rises to his feet and stands in the corner.

Rotating his arm, Barrett charges in and attempts to hit his Bullhammer Elbow, but Gabriel ducks it and floors Barrett with a Superkick! Barrett is down and the fans get behind Gabriel and urge him to climb the turnbuckle and surely extend his winning streak, and he climbs to the top rope, but then sees that JINDER MAHAL is stomping down the ramp! The fans boo at the sight of the man who's taken exception to Justin Gabriel beating him two weeks ago, and Gabriel's attention is diverted from Barrett and it proves costly as he's caught with a BULLHAMMER ELBOW to the side of the head and he drops down to the mat!

There's a lot of heat as Barrett plucks the lifeless Gabriel off of the mat and hoists him up onto his shoulders and slams him down with WASTELAND! Barrett hooks both legs! One! Two! Three!!! Gabriel's winning streak is over, thanks to Jinder Mahal's distraction!

Winner: Wade Barrett (9.49)

*Commercial Break*

Eve and Kelly Kelly are backstage, and they are in mid-conversation about Eve's recent winning streak, but Eve brings it back around to Kelly and tells her she's proud of her win on WWE Superstars. Kelly says thanks but then asks Eve of she's noticed anything weird in her matches recently when she's watched them back, but Eve says that she doesn't watch her matches back because she sees it as bad luck because she thinks that you shouldn't let the past affect your future; if she makes a mistake in a match, next time she goes out there she just tries not to make it again.

They are interrupted with a comment of How convenient? by Beth Phoenix and Natalya, and Beth says that they've been keeping an eye on Eve and Kelly, and she just wishes that Eve has been too. Natalya says that she hasn't forgotten what happened last week on Raw. Eve says that she can show her again this coming Monday on Raw if she wants, but Beth says that she has a better idea she wants to see what all the fuss about Eve is and Natalya wants her win back; so Phoenix suggests that they have a Tag Team Match on the Raw Supershow.

Kelly Kelly tries to say no, but before she gets a chance, Eve accepts the match, and then excuses herself and Kelly. Once they've gone, Natalya asks why Beth didn't tell Eve what Kelly has been doing in her matches, but Beth says We can work this in our favour.

THE 25TH ANNUAL
SURVIVOR SERIES

NOVEMBER 20TH 2011

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

Main Event:
Randy Orton vs Christian

There's a big match feel in the arena as the two men who's intense rivalry dominated the summer on Smackdown is renewed for one night only at the request of the Assistant General Manager, Edge. Christian tries his best to avoid Orton in the early going, escaping several lock ups to roll under the bottom rope to refuge at ringside, but after this has happened three times, Orton takes matters into his own hands and gives chase to the outside! Although it appears that Christian knew what he was doing as he slides back into the ring and pounces on Orton as soon as 'The Viper' slides back into the ring.

Christian focuses his attacks on the left shoulder of Orton, as he uses his knowledge of Randy Orton's history to his advantage, applying a tight Hammerlock for a good minute. Orton is able to wriggle himself free, but his attempt to build momentum is halted immediately by a well placed Dropkick to Orton's shoulder, and Christian follows up by launching Orton into the steel ring post through the turnbuckles shoulder-first. This is followed by a roll up which Orton is able to power out of. Christian reverts back to the Hammerlock and is able to drop Orton back onto his shoulder.

After some more periods of Christian targeting his shoulder, Orton creates some separation by cutting an advancing Christian with a Snap Powerslam! This gets Orton fired up and he ducks a couple of clothesline attempts and drops Christian with a Dropkick of his own! However Orton seems to jar his shoulder upon landing which allows Christian to recover in the corner. Orton charges in but Christian adjusts his position and connects with a Pendulum Kick! Orton is rocked by the kick and Christian follows up with a Diving Corkscrew Elbow to the face.

Christian waits on Orton to get up, and when he does he tries to hook up the KILLSWITCH - but Orton escapes and folds Christian up with his Inverted Backbreaker! 'The Viper' continues building his momentum by slinging his former rival through the ropes and dropping him with a DDT whilst Christian hangs on the ropes! The fans cheer loudly as Orton starts to pound the mat, but Christian seems to know what is coming... and he rolls under the bottom rope - he's throwing the match! There's a lot of heat in the arena and Orton himself is annoyed as Christian doesn't care as he backs up the ramp...

...BUT DANIEL BRYAN CHARGES OUT..

AND ROLLS CHRISTIAN BACK INTO THE RING!!!

Christian is caught completely off guard by Bryan, and he glares at his opposing Survivor Series Captain but he turns back around... and he's dropped with an RKO! Bryan grins as he now retreats back up the ramp and Orton hooks the legs! One! Two! Three!!!

Winner: Randy Orton (10.26)

*Commercial Break*

There are a lot of bodies in the ring as we return from the final break; General Manager Teddy Long, his Assistant GM Edge, John Morrison, Wade Barrett and Randy Orton... with the World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry making his entrance. We are informed by our commentary team that Mark Henry now has to decide who he will be facing at the Raw Supershow. Long has the microphone in his hand and he says that he is giving each of the three options to Mark Henry a chance to speak and plead their case to the World Heavyweight Champion.

Randy Orton gets his chance first, and he starts off by saying that he, Barrett and Morrison know that he is the kind of champion that doesn't back away from a fight. Orton talks up that it was him that Henry defeated to become champion, without actually pinning him. He says that he's the only man that has been World Heavyweight Champion before, he's the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history... his legacy has proven that he is born to be World Heavyweight Champion, and even if Mark Henry doesn't choose to face him on the Raw Supershow, sooner or later, he will be World Champion again. "There is no point delaying the inevitable, Mark. Give me the shot to save yourself the mental torment that having ME hanging over YOUR head will take on you!"

Barrett then snatches the microphone from Orton and says that Orton has had his opportunities against Henry and he failed to beat him on Smackdown a few weeks ago in his rematch for the championship. The Englishman says that if Henry should choose to face anyone it should be him. "If you want a fight, Henry, you know you'll bloody have one with me." Wade talks over his past in Bareknuckle fighting, where he was a champion, and he says he's been Intercontinental Champion and he has shown on countless occasions that he is ready to make that big step up and win the big one, being the first Englishman to do so. Barrett proclaims that the moment when he becomes the World Heavyweight Champion will be one of the greatest in WWE history, and by electing to face him, Mark Henry could be a big part of that moment at the Raw Supershow.

Barrett forces the microphone into the chest of John Morrison, who seems a little unsure of what to say at first. JoMo starts off by saying that he can't make many promises, but if there is one promise he can make is that he'll give Mark Henry a challenge like he's never had before. Morrison continues by saying that he knows that everyone has been counting him out as a challenger to Henry, but he was able to beat a monster earlier tonight and if Mark Henry chooses him, he'll do it again. JoMo continues by saying that "speaking of tonight, I was the only one able to win my match without anyone's help." This angers both Orton and Barrett, both saying that they didn't ask for help in their matches... and now Orton, Barrett and Morrison get into each other's faces!

Sensing tempers could be flaring, Edge tries to diffuse the situation, but they're cut off with a booming shout of "I'VE MADE UP MY MIND!" from Mark Henry. The three men instantly stop bickering and give Mark Henry their undivided attention, as he stares them all up and down. "I don't give a damn about legacy, I don't give a damn about fights and I don't give a damn about promises, boy!" Henry says that they all have a deathwish wanting to step into the ring with him with the title on the line; especially after what he did to Sheamus at Hell in a Cell - "No one's even heard a peep outta his Irish ass since I damn near killed him!"

Henry carries on by saying that all he wants to do is eliminate every possible threat to HIS World Heavyweight Championship, and on the Raw Supershow, he's going to take out three at once - because "I want all yo' asses!" Everyone is a little confused but Teddy Long chirps up again "Well Mark, playa, if that's what you want, then it will be. In ten days on the Raw Supershow, Mark Henry will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton... Wade Barrett... AND John Morrison... in a FATAL 4 WAY MATCH! Ya feel me?" Henry's music then plays and the FOUR men who'll be challenging for the World Title each stare each other down as Smackdown ends.

I know this isn't the best show, as I've not really got used to writing in recaps. The next Raw and Smackdown shows will be written in a similar vein as this show.

Couple of thank yous to go out. I've kinda done my recaps in the same format as Wolf Beast so I hope he doesn't mind and thanks to him. Another big thanks to 1WhoKnocks for the Survivor Series poster as well

Default Re: WWE 2011: Pushing the Boundaries

Despite your very hurtful insults, and after my eyes stopped bleeding, I managed to pluck up the strength to actually leave some feedback.

A very chaotic opening contest to kick the show off, which would have done extremely well in getting the crowd fired up for the rest of the night. The two extremely different styles between Cara and Regal was interesting to read, but I think you done well with making it work. The transition between DiBiase hitting Sin Cara with the cane, twice, then going after Regal , as the time it took to hit Cara twice would have given Regal enough time to get out there or prepare for DiBiase coming in the ring. Rhodes abandoning DiBiase was interesting, and during the match Rhodes was barking orders at him, so Im curious if this will have repercussions next week between these two. Anyway, solid opening contest.

Before I talk about this interview, Edge isnt someone I could probably imagine in an authority role, and with his previous injuries, its not like he can take bumps which takes that aspect away from it. Im willing to give it time to let me come around to it though, as its a different appointment from what we usually see. As for the interview, it was pretty good, Henry was written well with his intimidation factor coming into play.

The second match would have been a complete 180 from the first match, what with Khali being slow as hell in the ring. A good win for Morrison though, winning against someone as huge as Khali is always going to be impactful, even if he isnt that great. Somewhat of a generic exchange by Long and Edge, but the six man tag for the Raw SuperShow should add to that card nicely, I think. Im going to overlook the pretty god at this, because Im a nice guy, unlike you. Ill admit I laughed a tiny bit at Christian and the ass comment, Im ashamed to admit. Im a tad disappointed that Kidd was replaced by Christian against Orton, as a good showing against him would have done Kidd a world of good. Christian and Orton is a huge match though, I just hope Kidd gets a big opponent as well.

Solid enough tag team match, that does well in showcasing the teams you have on offer. Fighting for Freedom coming down to make the save backs that up, and Im really liking the FFF for some reason. Ill admit, Im a little disappointed it was Barretta that Kidd got instead of Orton. It was an extremely easy win for Kidd though, which does well to make him look good, even if it is against Trent. Simple little segment here, and it does make sense that Bryan would go after Regal for his team.

Two former Nexus members going at it gave this match an interesting dynamic, and it was written well with both men looking alright. I expected Jinder to get involved which allows Barrett to get a solid enough victory, whilst keeping Gabriel strong. I seem to vaguely remember you telling me about the storyline you had in mind for Eve and Kelly, Eves first little batch of dialogue seemed almost know it allish. Anyway, Raw gets another match, that should be okay by Divas standards.

I thought this was a well written main event, with Christian going after the shoulder, that if I remember correctly was injured a few years ago in 2005ish. Bryan forcing Christian back into the ring was a good way to continue to hype their SS match, as well as him basically being the reason why Orton was able to hit the RKO. The final promo of the night , Orton going back and referring to his record as youngest world champion was good, as well as saying that being champion is basically in his blood. I thought the final bit of dialogue could have been worded a bit better though. Barrett making note of his bare knuckle fighting background was good, as was the Intercontinental Champion line. Morrison was extremely bland, but I guess thats just the way he is, but the piece where he mentioned how he was the only person that won without help was smart. Henry wanting to face them all was very interesting, puts him over well as a bad ass champion, and a huge World Title match made for the Raw SS.

I thought this was a by the numbers show, in the sense that everything was progressed well enough, but it didn't have that moment that stands out.

Monday Night Raw
17th October 2011

*MY TIME IS NOW*

Following the recap video of last week's show, opening titles and pyrotechnics, it is the WWE Champion JOHN CENA that kicks things off on Raw, and he's dressed to compete in non-title action. Cena gets his usual split reaction, but he salutes to the fans before sprinting into the ring.

*TYRANNOSAURUS*

There's not much of a reaction for the seldom seen TYLER REKS who marches down to the ring and the commentators play up how much of an opportunity this is for him against the WWE Champion. Cena nods his head to show his opponent the correct amount of respect.

Match One:
Non-Title Match:
WWE Champion John Cena vs Tyler Reks

Reks makes a decent account of himself at first; commanding over Cena with some powerful strikes and an impactful Big Boot to the face as Cena tries for a Running Shoulder Block. Cena counters a suplex attempt into a Fisherman Suplex of his own, before he calls upon the Cenation who give him the power to begin to execute his finishing sequence. Two Running Shoulder Blocks are followed up by the Spin Out Powerbomb. Cena raises his arm into the air to another mixed reaction before he hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Upon waiting for Reks to get back to his feet, Cena is able to plant him with the ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT! Not being pleased enough, Cena turns Reks over and locks in the STF! After a few seconds Reks decides he's had enough and taps out!

Winner: John Cena (5.35)

Cena gets to his feet and he's handed the WWE Championship, but his music isn't playing but the fans let out a massive pop because THE ROCK is on the Titantron! Cena hasn't realized and 'The Great One' wears a big grin on his face, as he appears 'LIVE VIA SATELLITE'

The Rock: Hey, Cena! Up here jabroni.

There's a roar from the crowd as Cena looks up to the tron and doesn't look pleased with the way he was addressed.

The Rock: Cena, The Rock has heard- Oh wait... wait one second.

Rock holds his hand up to the camera and then faces to his right.

The Rock: FINALLY... THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO MONDAY... NIGHT... RAW!

The fans join in with Rocky as he spouts off one of his most famous lines, and Cena is already losing his patience in the ring.

The Rock: Cena, The Rock has head you runnin' your mouth the past couple of weeks on Raw; you've been saying that The Rock doesn't deserve to face you for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

There's a lot of heat in the arena for that.

The Rock: Two weeks ago, you said that the people deserve to see The Rock challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania; and you're right. The Rock is The People's Champion, and the people deserve to see The People's Champion WHOOP YOUR CANDY ASS ALL OVER MIAMI!

As if it a natural gift, The Rock has the crowd in the palm of his hand, and he continues as he pumps himself up.

The Rock: No no no no no naaaw! The Rock isn't going to just whoop your candy ass all over Miami, John Cena - No no no! The Rock is going to whoop your candy ass all over Miami and become the new WWE Champion!

Rock flares his nostrils out and Cena is almost staring a hole through the Tron, but the fans are loving it.

The Rock: So Cena, if for some reason you don't think The Rock is being serious... how about I come to Raw next week and I show you in person just how serious I am?

Cena is now smirking in the ring, as the fans in the arena are popping out of their lungs for this.

The Rock: So let's just clear this up. Next week, on the Raw SUPERSHOW, in Miami, the same city that will witness me whoopin' your candy ass at Wrestlemania and becoming the new WWE Champion, The Rock will be waiting for you, John Cena, right in the middle of that ring! And maybe, just maybe, you can tell The Rock why he shouldn't get a title shot at Wrestlemania.

There's almost a laugh from John Cena in the ring, as he looks down at the mat.

The Rock: IF YA SMELLALALALALALALAAAAAWWW... WHAT THE ROCK... IS COOKIN'!

*ELECTRIFYING*

The Rock looks like the picture of intensity as he removes his shades and raises DAT EYEBROW and Cena exits the ring and walks up the ramp as Raw heads off to the first commercial.

*Commercial Break*

We return to see the door leading to the parking lot, and JOHN CENA suddenly bursts into the shot past the camera with his bags and the WWE Championship in hand, barging through the doors, with MATT STRIKER following him closely.

Matt Striker: John! John! Can we get your thoughts on what we just learned? The Rock will be here next week-

Cena quickly turns around and he is almost shaking as he glares at Striker.

John Cena: Not... now.

The WWE Champion clearly isn't in a good mood before he turns back around and walks over to his car and unlocks it; getting in and making a swift exit. Striker turns back to the camera with an unsure look on his face.

Matt Striker: Well... it seems that the WWE Champion, John Cena, has headed home early; we just learned before the commercial break that The Rock will be in attendance next week on the Raw Supershow - and by the looks of it someone else is arriving right now!

Striker actually has to move out of the way as a limousine almost runs him over and he walks over to the rear door and opens it to see who is inside. Striker instantly puts on a very big grin as the Raw General Manager JOHN LAURINAITIS steps out of the limo, followed by THE MIZ, R-TRUTH and then BRODUS CLAY. There's a lot of heat for the Laurinaitis Administration as Johnny looks a little concerned when he spots Striker.

John Laurinaitis: Matt, why are you out here in the parking lot? Has something happened?

Matt Striker: First of all, Mr Laurinaitis welcome to Monday Night Raw, I hope that you had a good journey. I'm out here because John Cena has just left the arena, and The Rock has announced that he'll be at the Raw Supershow next week.

John Laurinaitis: Cena left early? Well I don't see that as an action befitting of the WWE Champion... but we don't have to worry about that for much longer because next week The Miz will become the new WWE Champion when he beats John Cena.

Miz pulls a smug face behind Laurinaitis.

Matt Striker: Sir, if you don't mind me asking... what are your thoughts of what happened during and after the main event between The Miz and Xavier Woods? There was a lot of controversy as the COO of the WWE Triple H as well as yourself got physically involved-

John Laurinaitis: What I did to Xavier Woods was in self defence, Matt! That little punk was about to attack me! As for Triple H, his actions against both Brodus Clay and R-Truth are not becoming of the Chief Operating Officer of a multinational company, and I will be submitting a complaint to the WWE Board of Directors and I assume that they will take appropriate action against Mr Helmsley.

The fans aren't happy to hear Laurinaitis completely denying his involvements last week.

John Laurinaitis: I can assure you that tonight we will not get a repeat of last week, because I have been informed that Triple H is not here tonight. So The Laurinaitis Administration can focus on each of our matches tonight, but most importantly the main event; where The Miz will destroy Kofi Kingston and become the number one contender to the WWE Championship, just like he did to Xavier Woods last week. Enjoy the show, Matt.

The Administration then leave the parking lot, each of the Superstars glaring at the camera as they walk past it, and Striker puffs a sigh of relief as he no longer has to put on his act.

*GET ON YOUR KNEES*

As we return back to the arena, there's a decent amount of heat as JACK SWAGGER confidently walks out onto the stage and he does his push ups and then strides down to the ring ahead of this crunch match.

*OH RADIO*

The fans ERUPT in the arena for ZACK RYDER, and he has a much more serious aura about him tonight as he looks to finally end this rivalry with Swagger. Swagger sarcastically applauds as Ryder walks down the ramp, and which angers the Long Island native, and he sprints into the ring and takes Swagger by surprise!

Match Two:
Zack Ryder vs Jack Swagger

This thing has been brewing for weeks and as per orders of the GM it finally comes to a head tonight. Ryder is able to take charge in the early goings after kickstarting the match off quickly. The action spills to the outside, and there are several spots where the two rivals are literally throwing each other around the ringside area. Swagger is able to take control though as he counters a clothesline attempt from Ryder to deliver a Belly-to-Belly Suplex on the hard floor! The former World Heavyweight Champion stays on top of Ryder with some more throws inside the ring, being denied the three count he craves by a persistant Ryder. Swagger tries for his Ankle Lock but Ryder is able to roll out of it and send Swagger crashing into the turnbuckles as Raw heads to a break.

*Commercial Break*

Getting back into the action, Ryder is caught in a Bearhug as Swagger was able to counter Ryder's Rough Ryder attempt with a Spinebuster during the break and he focuses his attack back to the lower back of Ryder. Ryder though, is able to fight out with several hard shots to the head and he shoots Swagger into the ropes and sends him crashing back onto his face with a Flapjack! Ryder goes for the cover but Swagger is able to kick out and he scrambles back to the corner, but he doesn't realize he's in prime position for the Broski Boot which Ryder hits! Swagger uses the corner to get back up, but he removes the protective pad from the turnbuckle, but luckily the referee is alert to what Swagger is up to and rushes to put it back on. Swagger stumbles forwards and Ryder tries for the ROUGH RYDER again - but Swagger ducks it and LOW BLOWS RYDER BEHIND THE REFEREE'S BACK! The fans are fuming, and Swagger lifts Ryder off of the mat and plants him with the GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB! The referee turns around just in time to count the three count!

Winner: Jack Swagger (11.30)

*GET ON YOUR KNEES*

The crowd isn't at all pleased to see one of their favourites screwed out of the win, and Cole tries to defend Swagger's actions whilst King notes that Zack Ryder isn't going to accept this as the end of this rivalry.

We head backstage again to see XAVIER WOODS playing the upcoming WWE 12 video game, and we can see on the screen that Woods has created himself on the game, and he's currently destroying The Miz. KOFI KINGSTON then walks into the shot behind Woods and grins before placing his hand on Woods' shoulder, and Woods pauses the game and upon seeing Kofi he jumps out of his chair and the two men who were saved by Triple H last week shake hands.

Xavier Woods: Heyyyyyy, Kofi! How you doin', man? Tonight is going to be a GOOD night, my friend! Man, I can't believe that I'm standing here with the NEXT WWE Champion!

Kofi Kingston: Thanks man, I hope you're right.

Xavier Woods: Of course I'm right! Yeah, I was screwed last week by The Miz and John Laurinaitis, but all I managed to do was soften Miz up for you tonight, man! Did you see how close I was to beating him? Of course you don't need him softened up though! Haha!

Kofi Kingston: That is actually what I came to talk to you about, actually. Even though you were unlucky not to beat The Miz last week, we were both very lucky that Triple H had our backs after the match, otherwise we coulda been in for an even worse beatin' than we got. Triple H isn't here tonight, so I just came here to tell you to make sure you watch your back tonight.

Woods smiles and he puts his hand on Kofi's shoulder.

Xavier Woods: You shouldn't be worried about me, Kofi! You need to be focused on your match tonight! I grew up on the streets, man, I used to get worse beatings than that every day, I can take anything the Laurinaitis Administration can throw at me. You're the priority tonight, Kof'... so you know what? I'm gonna be out there in your corner tonight!

There's a good pop from the fans for that and Kofi gives one of his trademark smiles.

Xavier Woods: It'd be an honour, man! I know I got screwed last week so I'm gonna make sure that the same thing doesn't happen to you! That cool?

Kofi Kingston: I couldn't think of anything better. Is it alright that I quickly talk over some strategy-

Woods glances to the right and his eyes widen.

Xavier Woods: Woah! Is that the time?! Kofi, look, I'm really sorry man, I've gotta be somewhere; I'll see you out there later on.

Woods quickly grabs his Uncle Sam hat which was on the back of his chair and runs out of the shot, leaving Kofi Kingston looking very, very confused as we fade away.

*Commercial Break*

*Video Package*

We come straight into a shot of a busy gym, and the camera focuses its attention on one man, which we can quickly identify as one half of the former WWE Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty; who is very aggressively lifting weights. McGillicutty looks extremely tired, as if he's been in the gym for several hours. Mike drops his weights on the floors and roars out loud enough for the whole gym to hear him. His tag team partner, David Otunga, then walks into the shot next to him, having clearly just arrived, but he's in casual clothes and clearly not here for a gym session.

David Otunga:
Mike! How's it goin'? Man, you look like you need to have a break! How long you been here, three, four hours?

Michael McGillicutty:
Five.

David Otunga:
That isn't good for you-

Michael McGillicutty:
No, I'll tell you what isn't good for me. What isn't good for me is spending a WEEK in Las Vegas, using the worst facilities in the worst gyms and staying out until five o'clock in the morning! That's what isn't good for me, David.

Otunga is taken aback, and he removes his sunglasses.

David Otunga:
Look man, you told me yourself that you had fun with AW. Yeah, we mighta partied a bit too hard-

???:
There is no such thing as partying too hard, Dave. No such thing.

The former tag champs turn around to see that AW has now arrived in the gym, and he's accompanied by his Head of Security, Mark Magnus. Otunga's eyes light up like his idol has just walked into the room, but McGillicutty remains straight faced.

David Otunga:
A-Dub! Hey man, you know I didn't mean it like that, it is just Mike here isn't that used to living the lifestyle we enjoy so much.

AW:
Gentlemen, I'm a not just a business man, I am a busy man. For men like me, time is money. I didn't get my own nightclub empire by wasting time, so I'm going to cut to the chase.

AW looks at both wrestlers and smiles.

AW:
I like you guys, and we had a lot of fun last week in Vegas. I think that we should enter into a business agreement that will benefit all parties. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved professional wrestling and I would have done anything to be a wrestler, or to even be on Raw. So how about this? You let me manage you; I can hook you up with all of my connections and even act as an agent for you and take you right back to those WWE Tag Team Championships... and I get to be on Monday Night Raw every week and live my dream. Win win, right? What do you say?

All four men look at each other, but it is obvious that Magnus really couldn't care less. AW looks optimistically at Mike and Dave. Otunga is about to shake AW's hand, but McGillicutty is still stone face and he knocks Otunga's hand away.

Michael McGillicutty:
We'll think about it.

David Otunga:
What do you mean "We'll think about it"? We've had NO luck on Raw since Night of Champions and I don't see anything changing that... apart from AW. We've got nothing to lose here, Mike. And do you really want to deny AW his dream? C'mon man, that's cold.

Otunga's words seem to ring through to Mike, as he slowly nods his head and holds his hand out to AW who graciously accepts it.

AW:
You've made a good decision today, gentlemen. I've got to go and as the manager of this fine establishment if he's interested in selling, because this place is perfect for the next All World Promotions entertainment facility. I'll be in touch.

AW then clicks his fingers and turns to leave, and Magnus stares a hole through the back of his boss' head before begrudgingly holding the door open for him. Otunga turns to McGillicutty with a very pleased expression, but McGillicutty remains hard faced.

Michael McGillicutty:
You better be right about this.

McGllicutty then turns and leaves through the same door AW did, as Otunga holds his hands up in the air with a grin.

*End Video Package*

*IN THE MIDDLE OF IT NOW*

There's not much of a reaction in the arena as the men about to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championships CURT HAWKINS and PRIMO walk out onto the stage and exuberantly walk down to the ring, and motion around their waists that they are after the titles.

*LA VITTORIA E MIA*

It is quite a loud pop in the arena as the WWE Tag Team Champions The Odd Couple walk out onto the stage. VLADIMIR KOZLOV is dressed to compete but SANTINO MARELLA is still wearing a neck brace. We are reminded that Kozlov will be defending the championships alone under Handicap rules, but Marella has a microphone as the champions wait on the stage.

Santino Marella: Ciao, everybody!

There's a nice pop for that little greeting.

Santino Marella: As you all will have previously been informed, my partner here, Vladimir Kozlov, was told by the Raw General Manager John... Laurinaitis-

Santino is cut off by boos, and he makes sure he says the GM's name correctly this time after clearly learning his lesson at Hell in a Cell.

Santino Marella: We were told that Vladimir would be defending our WWE Tag Team Championships against Primo and Zack Hawkins in a Handicap Match.

There's a couple of laughs, and Hawkins kicks the bottom rope and shouts "GET ON WITH IT!"

Santino Marella: But we have received a phones call earlier on today, from the coo of the WWE, Triple de Aitch, and he said that we were allowed to choose a replacement partner. So...

*LIVING IN AMERICA*

There's a pretty big pop for the man who made his debut last week, XAVIER WOODS, and once again clad in Uncle Sam gear, he shakes hands with both Santino and Kozlov before the three men make their way to the ring; Hawkins and Primo furious in the ring. The commentators put two and two together and realize this is why Woods rushed off whilst he was speaking to Kofi Kingston.

Match Three:
WWE Tag Team Championship Match:

Vladimir Kozlov & Xavier Woods w/ Santino Marella vs Curt Hawkins & Primo

In a match full of Cole complaining about Woods being involved and King making jokes about Apollo Creed and Ivan Drago becoming a tag team, the challengers wear down Kozlov in the opening few minutes, with the big Russian being able to hit a couple of his power moves but ultimately being cut from getting the tag to Woods. Using their ever-growing familiarity with each other, Hawkins and Primo get a couple of close near falls and almost win the titles! Hawkins has Kozlov set up for his Heatseeking Elbow, but Kozlov rolls out of the way and gets the tag to Xavier Woods! Primo charges out from his corner, but Woods rolls under his clothesline attempt and springs back up to nail Hawkins with a clothesline of his own! Primo is then hit with a Creed-DT, and Woods brings Hawkins back up and connects with LOST IN THE WOODS to pick up the win - his first on Raw, and he's helped retain the tag team titles!

Winners: Vladimir Kozlov & Xavier Woods (7.58)
The Odd Couple retain the WWE Tag Team Championships

*LIVING IN AMERICA*

Santino is handed the titles and heads into the ring to meet Kozlov and Woods, who share a hug after the bell was rung. Hawkins and Primo both roll out of the ring after feeling the wrath of Xavier Woods. Woods stands in the middle of both of the WWE Tag Team Champions and raises their arms into the air to a good pop from the fans. Woods then leaves the ring and allows The Odd Couple to have their moment in the ring and he starts walking up the ramp...

*RIP IT UP*

All of the celebrations grind to a halt and the Tag Team Champions scramble out of the ring as BRODUS CLAY marches out onto the stage, accompanied by JOHN LAURINAITIS. Woods stands firm on the ramp as the Raw GM gets right in his face and says "I'll deal with you later" before he leads his undefeated monster to the ring. Cole and King inform us that Brodus Clay looks to extend his winning streak after the break!

*Commercial Break*

After the commercial, BRODUS CLAY and the Raw General Manager JOHN LAURINAITIS are waiting in the ring for whoever Clay's opponent could be.

*GOLD-LUST*

There's a ROAR from the fans and GOLDUST walks out onto the stage! The announcers play up that we've not seen Goldust for almost a year. In the ring, neither Laurinaitis or Clay know what to think, as Goldie removes his wig and plays to the fans.

Match Four:
Brodus Clay w/ John Laurinaitis vs Goldust

The undefeated Clay is clearly unsettled as he's across the ring from 'The Bizarre One', and Goldust starts the match off with a stiff uppercut to take control! Goldust uses his experience advantage to use Clay's power and weight against him, getting some luck with a couple of dropkicks to the knees of the big man. After trying to set Clay up for the Shattered Dreams, Goldust takes just a little too long showboating and is flattened with a clothesline from the monster. From this point on, Goldust doesn't get much of a chance to get back into the match as Clay's powerful Exploader Suplexes do a number on Goldust's back. After crushing Goldie against the turnbuckle, Clay lifts him up and finishes him off with the devastating SPINNING SIT DOWN POWERBOMB to extend his unbeaten run!

Winner: Brodus Clay (5.41)

*RIP IT UP*

Laurinaitis gets into the ring as Goldust sits in the corner holding the back of his head. The Raw General Manager doesn't look in the best mood, most likely due to Xavier Woods' actions earlier tonight.

We cut backstage now, and ALBERTO DEL RIO is standing in front of the camera, and he receives some pretty big heat from the crowd, most likely due to his actions the past two weeks against his now former friend Ricardo Rodriguez.

Alberto Del Rio: My name is Alberto Del Rio... but ju already know dat.

The cocky intro gets it's usual reaction.

Alberto Del Rio: Dey say dat a man's career in de WWE comes in many chapters. Last week, was de end of one of de chapters in de career of 'The Great' Alberto Del Rio. Last week was also de end of dat fat, useless, miserable perro Ricardo Rodriguez.

The former WWE Champ's face screws up as he says the name of his former ring announcer.

Alberto Del Rio: Ricardo Rodriguez will no longer get through life under de shadow of 'The Great' Alberto Del Rio, because Ricardo Rodriguez is gone... forever.

More heat.

Alberto Del Rio: But as de expression says; "Life goes on." And it will. Ricardo Rodriguez's name will mean nothing in de history of de WWE, he will be nothing more dan an afterthought in the career of 'The Great'... Alberto Del Rio.

ADR smiles to himself as he refers to himself once again as 'The Great'.

Alberto Del Rio: Now dat Ricardo Rodriguez is no longer holding my career back, I can once again become de WWE Champion because it is my destiny. Ju see, being a champion is in my blood, it comes naturally to me. If there are any of ju that don't believe what I am saying, let me show you next week on de Raw Supershow, because 'The Great' Alberto Del Rio will be back in de ring competing, and winning. Ju will all see why I am de rightful WWE Champion. Ju will see what makes me... Great.

Del Rio has a smirk on his face and he stares dead into the camera.

Alberto Del Rio: Viva Del Rio.

*Commercial Break*

*SHE LOOKS GOOD TO ME*

There's a decent pop for EVE TORRES who bounces out onto the stage with KELLY KELLY in tow. The announcers talk up how Eve has been winning her matches recently, as there have been occasions where Kelly has helped her with her matches and we found out on Smackdown last Friday that Eve doesn't know about it.

*GLAMAZON*

It is a mixed reaction that greets the music of the Divas Champion BETH PHOENIX as she is lead out by her partner NATALYA who is set to face Eve in a rematch of last week. The match between these four for the Raw Supershow next week is hyped up.

Match Five:
Eve Torres w/ Kelly Kelly vs Natalya w/ Divas Champion Beth Phoenix

Natlya is the aggressor in the opening exchanges as she is looking to avenge her loss a fortnight ago, using her power advantage well to force Eve back on several attempts. Natalya hits an impressive Running Powerslam which almost gets her the victory, but she goes for the move again and Eve is able to roll off the back of her and almost get a three count. Trying to pysch Eve out, Phoenix grabs Kelly Kelly by the hair at ringside and Eve exits the ring followed by Natalya... and a brawl between the four women ensues, and the referee calls for the bell!

Winner: No Contest (4.55)

Despite the match ending the four Divas keep going at it, with Eve and Phoenix going at it on one side of the ring and Natalya and Kelly on the other. Kelly though suddenly shows a streak of aggression and sends Natalya flying into the ring post, and she makes a bee line to Eve and Beth Phoenix! Kelly grabs the Divas Champion by the hair and then pulls her away from Eve; grabbing her friends hand and leading her up the ramp. When they are on the ramp, Kelly grabs Eve in for a tight hug and looks back at Beth Phoenix and the Divas Champion is quite confused.

THE 3-HOUR MONDAY NIGHT RAW SUPERSHOW

24TH OCTOBER 2011

MIAMI, FLORIDA

-----

*HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD*

There's a mixed reaction for the United States Champion DOLPH ZIGGLER as he walks out onto the stage with a huge frown on his face, along with his manager VICKIE GUERRERO who has an equally pissed off look on her face. (Though she looks like a slapped arse anyway). The duo get into the ring, and Ziggler grabs a microphone as he climbs the steps. There's no messing about with Vickie's "EXCUSE ME"s tonight as Ziggler clearly means business.

Dolph Ziggler: I'm about to compete in a tag team match, and on the other team is the man that I am being forced to defend my United States Championship against next week on the Raw Supershow... Drew McIntyre.

There's a good pop for the Scotsman.

Dolph Ziggler: Bear in mind that this is a man who I beat just a matter of weeks ago at Hell in a Cell when I was at a total disadvantage anyway! I didn't know he was going to try and screw me and Vickie Guerrero at Hell in a Cell, but I proved just how great a champion I am when I beat him anyway.

Ziggler is almost expressionless as he just talks his mind.

Dolph Ziggler: Granted... Granted I told Drew that if he impressed me, I'd let him have another shot at my United States Championship, that was MY decision to make NOT Triple H's. I don't care that he's the COO, he does not get to decide when I put my title on the line, I do!

The fans boo the slandering of the COO.

Dolph Ziggler: Let's quickly analyse Drew McIntyre's attempts to impress Dolph Ziggler, shall we? He beat JTG - a man who just for the record Vickie Guerrero and I would not even give the time of day to, let alone help - and then last week he abducted Vickie Guerrero, cost me my match against the WWE Champion and to top it all off he cheapshotted me after the match! I wanted someone to tell me why those actions deem Drew McIntyre a shot at the best United States Champion in history?!

Ziggler then points to his head.

Dolph Ziggler: But then it dawned on me, it didn't take long actually. I then remembered that Triple H is connected to a certain someone in the higher-ups, and that certain someone is a very big Drew McIntyre fan... some might even go as far to say that Drew McIntyre is 'The Chosen One'.

There's another mixed reaction in the arena as some fans are cheering Ziggler now for his actions.

Dolph Ziggler: SHUT UP! I'M TALKING!

And now they're booing him again.

Dolph Ziggler: I realized that Drew McIntyre only got his shot at me because of his connections. SO I've decided, I'll play ball next week and allow Drew McIntyre to face me for the United States Championship so I can prove that the trust and hopes of Triple H and the rest of his family lay in the wrong man. I'll expose Drew McIntyre for the corporate puppet that he is when once again he's unable to get the job done against Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler tosses the microphone behind him and it lands with a clunk as the fans are unsure of how to react as Ziggler's music kicks back up again and we head out to another commercial.

*Commercial Break*

We come back to Raw as ALEX RILEY is making his entrance to a good reaction and R-TRUTH is now standing in the ring with Dolph Ziggler, and the Laurinaitis Administration member is trying to converse with the US Champ but Ziggler is ignoring him.

*BROKEN DREAMS*

DREW MCINTYRE comes out to a cheer louder than Riley's, and 'The Chosen One' walks down to the ring and meets Riley at the base of the ramp. The former rivals have a nervy handshake before they enter the ring.

Match Six:
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & R-Truth w/ Vickie Guerrero vs Drew McIntyre & Alex Riley

It appears that Ziggler and McIntyre are going to be the ones that start the match, but Ziggler quickly slaps R-Truth in the arm as soon as the bell rings to heat. It becomes clearer and clearer as the match goes on that Ziggler is trying to avoid McIntyre; which leads to Alex Riley being the man that absorbs most of the punishment because R-Truth is able to catch him out with a Lie Detector as soon as he's tagged in and the heel team are able to dominate him for several minutes with attacks targeted at the head and neck. Ziggler tries to hit a Superkick on Riley, but 'The Varsity Villian' ducks it and scores with a Dropkick to Ziggler, and tags McIntyre in for the hot tag. McIntyre isn't able to catch Ziggler, who slides under the bottom rope, but R-Truth is the victim of a vicious Spinebuster. McIntyre goes to set R-Truth up for the Future Shock, but Ziggler slides back in and nails him with the ZIG ZAG from behind! Everyone then realizes that Ziggler was actually the legal man and he scores the pin over his challenger next week!

Winners: Dolph Ziggler & R-Truth (8.22)

*HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD*

There's a negative reaction for Ziggler, who has undeniably made a statement for everyone tonight, and the commentators, Cole in particular, notes that he is looking good going into his title match next week. Ziggler stands over the downed body of McIntyre with the United States title high up in the air and Vickie Guerrero cackling next to him.

*Video Package*

The video package starts off with shots of various former WWE Superstars and Legends; Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes and The Rock, all walking down to the ring.

Narrator:
For twenty-five years, the Superstars and Divas of the WWE have all come together on one night.

Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, Bret Hart and Jerry Lawler.

Narrator:
The one night where all that remains is nothing but the human body's one natural instinct...

A shot of CM Punk sitting on the stage during the 'Pipebomb' promo; Randy Orton looks intensely into the crowd.

Narrator:
Survival.

After that word, the chorus of 'You're Going Down' by Sick Puppies kicks in, and the shots of the Superstars begin to speed up.

"IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING, AND THE TABLE'S TURN AROUND"

Kevin Nash delivers a Jack Knife to Punk; Mark Henry charges Sheamus through the cell door at Hell in a Cell; Brodus Clay suxplexes Rey Mysterio into the chair wedged into the corner.

"'CAUSE ONE OF US IS GOING, ONE OF US IS GOIN' DOWN!"

Randy Orton drops Wade Barrett with an RKO; The Awesome Truth hit the Little Jimmy Finale on John Cena; Christian screams in pain as he is trapped in the LeBell Lock.

"I'M NOT RUNNIN', IT'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT NOW"

Kelly Kelly sobs at Night of Champions after losing the Divas Title; Jack Swagger hits Zack Ryder with a Gutwrench Powerbomb; Kofi Kingston sets off his pyro in his entrance.

"'CAUSE ONE OF US IS GOING, ONE OF US IS GOIN' DOWN!"

John Cena sends Alberto Del Rio through a table inside the Hell in a Cell, and is then shown raising the WWE Championship into the air.

"YEAH, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S GOIN' DOWN!"

The music starts to fade out following that line, as a shot of Triple H and John Laurinaitis standing face-to-face is shown and the video package fades out.

*End Video Package*

THE 25TH ANNUAL
SURVIVOR SERIES

NOVEMBER 20TH 2011

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

*I CAME TO PLAY*

R-TRUTH is still in the ring following the video package, and JOHN LAURINAITIS and BRODUS CLAY make way for THE MIZ as he struts out onto the stage in his long trenchcoat. The Laurinaitis Administration in their whole (bar Kevin Nash) get a very loud negative reception as they walk down to the ring with Miz leading the way as we're informed that he will be facing Kofi Kingston after the break and the winner will become the #1 Contender to the WWE Championship!

*Commercial Break*

*SOS*

To a what is the loudest pop of the night so far, KOFI KINGSTON and XAVIER WOODS burst out onto the stage, and Woods joins in with Kingston for the Boom Claps and even massages Kofi's shoulders as they walk down to the ring. Kingston has a very focused look on his face as he eyes up the men waiting in the ring.

Main Event:
WWE Championship #1 Contender's Tournament Final:

The Miz w/ The Laurinaitis Administration vs Kofi Kingston w/ Xavier Woods

In the opening few minutes, despite the number of bodies on the outside of the ring, we actually get a standard wrestling match. The focus of Kofi Kingston seems to take Miz by surprise at first, as the Ghanaian is able to build some solid striking offence with chops and a Diving Cross Body. Miz is able to counter the SOS and drop Kofi with a Neckbreaker and 'The Awesome One' continues to build momentum from that moment onwards, his Snapmare Driver almost getting a three count, with John Laurinaitis being adamant in his claims that it was three, even getting onto the ring apron and threatening to fire the referee, which gives R-Truth the opportunity to slide into the ring and hit Kofi with the Little Jimmy! Xavier Woods then runs into the ring and slings Truth over the top rope right at the feet of Brodus Clay, before running the ropes and leaping over the top... but he's caught by Clay... and rammed into the steel ring post! Woods is folded up like an accordion on the floor, and Laurinaitis finally leaves the ring apron as Miz makes a cover on Kofi Kingston, but Kofi kicks out at 2!

Kofi shows some guts by kicking out of R-Truth's finisher, and Miz lays into him with a series of rights whilst he's down on the mat. The former WWE Champion attempts to go for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Kofi counters it... right into TROUBLE IN PARADISE!!! The fans are going crazy, that is until Miz rolls underneath the bottom rope! Both Clay and Truth swarm around Miz to bring him up... and Kofi climbs onto the top rope.. and hits a Boom Drop onto the Laurinaitis Administration; wiping them all out! Kingston grabs Miz and rolls him back into the ring and is just unsuccessful with his pin attempt. Kingston then stands in the corner and begins to clap to motion for the Trouble in Paradise again, and John Laurinaitis climbs up onto the apron next to Kofi. Kingston catches him out of the corner of his eye and grabs Johnny by the tie! Laurinaitis tries to repeat his actions of last week and he swings for Kofi, but Kingston ducks it... only to be rolled up from behind by The Miz! One! Two! MIZ HAS THE TIGHTS! THREEE!!!

Winner: The Miz (14.20)
The Miz is the #1 Contender to the WWE Championship

*I CAME TO PLAY*

The arena descends into ungodly heat for The Laurinaitis Administration as both Miz and Kofi pop up after the pin attempt and Miz has the biggest shit-eating grin on his face, and Kofi Kingston gets right in his face and pushes him! The fans cheer loudly as Kingston starts to pound away on Miz! Kofi lets out some steam at Miz's expense, that is until Brodus Clay and R-Truth scramble into the ring and start to pull Kofi away, and it end up 3-on-1 on Kofi Kingston! Laurinaitis slides into the ring and starts directing traffic as The Awesome Truth hold Kofi up in the corner and Brodus Clay prepares to charge in. There's a big cheer from the crowd though as Xavier Woods has started to climb the turnbuckle right behind Clay! Laurinaitis tries to warm him and R-Truth walks forwards and Woods leaps over Clay's head and takes Truth out with a Diving Clothesline!

Woods is up straight away and he flies at The Miz and starts laying into him with some swift punches! Xavier quickly checks on Kofi in the corner, but it results in both of them being squashed into the turnbuckle by Brodus Clay!!! The beat down on now both Kingston and Woods continues, as The Awesome Truth pick Kofi up and put him in position and plant him with the LITTLE JIMMY FINALE to lay him out, and Brodus Clay grabs Woods by the hair and places his head in between his legs. Laurinaitis instructs Brodus to wait... so he can deliver a right hand which slaps the taste out of Woods' mouth! Woods is stunned and Clay then elevates him up and plants him with the SPINNING SIT DOWN POWERBOMB!!!

Raw ends with the Laurinaitis Administration standing tall in the ring over the laid out bodies of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

WWE Superstars
20th October 2011

Sin Cara def. Heath Slater
The Chickbusters def. The Bella Twins
Drew McIntyre def. Tyler Reks
John Morrison def. Darren Young

Friday Night Smackdown
21st October 2011

Quick Results

- Wade Barrett opened the show with a promo about how the Winds of Change are blowing and he'll become the World Heavyweight Champion on Monday. John Morrison interrupts Barrett and says that he doesn't want people to write him out and vows that he'll become the World Heavyweight Champion. Edge comes out and informs us that Teddy Long isn't here tonight so he's in charge, and he makes a match for right now between Barrett and Morrison.

- Wade Barrett vs John Morrison ended in a No Contest after Mark Henry came down to the ring and took both men out, but the champion was hit with a surprise RKO from the 4th man in Monday's Fatal 4 Way, Randy Orton.

- Justin Gabriel defeated Jinder Mahal to seemingly end their small feud, as Gabriel was able to take The Great Khali out of the match as well before beating Jinder with the 450 Splash to return to winning ways.

- Christian had an interview backstage where he complained about last week; he wasn't happy that Tyson Kidd was denied his match with Randy Orton, but Edge appears again and says that Kidd can have his match with Orton tonight in the main event.

- Fighting for Freedom defeated The Showtime Players after we were informed by the commentary team that Fighting for Freedom will team with Sin Cara and The Showtime Players with Cody Rhodes in the Smackdown Showcase. The Players attacked FFF after the match, and The Usoswalked out onto the stage and watched instead of helping.

- Cody Rhodes complained to Edge about have to defend the Intercontinental Title against Sin Cara next week on Smackdown, insisting that Sin Cara doesn't deserve another shot until he gets rid of his mask. Edge says that he'll change next week's match into a series of three matches, with the first taking place next week. Edge says in the first match Sin Cara's mask will be on the line, Cody's mask in the second and the third match in the series will be for the Intercontinental Championship. Rhodes has mixed feelings about this.

- Christian defeated William Regal after some pre-match mocking, saying that Regal was a very bad choice by Daniel Bryan for his Survivor Series team. Bryan stopped a post match attack on his teacher.

- Randy Orton defeated Tyson Kidd after another great effort from the young Canadian which didn't go unnoticed by the crowd, but he fell to the RKO in about 15 minutes. After the match, Mark Henry came out and tried to attack Orton, but Morrison and Barrett got revenge for the champion attacking them earlier on. Morrison hit a Flying Chuck Kick on Henry, followed by the Bullhammer Elbow and then an RKO to the champion to leave Henry laying flat out to end the show with his three challengers standing over him and looking at each other.

Apologies to anyone that wanted to read this show out in more detail, but I finally had my operation on Tuesday, and I'm still in a fuck load of pain in my knee. I wanted to do this show out in full, but I thought it'd be best that I spend my recovery time getting the Supershow done, and I'm currently half way through the first match. Might as well just leave a little predictions contest for the Supershow, which will be posted when it is finished.

3 HOUR RAW SUPERSHOW
24 October 2011
Miami, Florida

WWE Championship:

John Cena vs The Miz
Solid main event, with it being the WrestleMania Main Event of the WM just past. Miz is getting something of a resurgence here, but the story seems to be headed to the 'Once in a lifetime' match ending up being for the title. Cena wins, and I suspect Rock may end up helping him, should the Administration get involved.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Fatal 4 Way

Mark Henry vs John Morrison vs Wade Barrett vs Randy Orton
No way does Henry drop the belt on anything other than a one on one PPV match to put over a face dethroning the dominant champ on his own.

United States Championship:
Dolph Ziggler vs Drew McIntyre

McIntyre is in the midst of a resurgence of his own as a face. Him winning the U.S Title on a big episode of Raw should help him along in making a mark as a face.

Smackdown Showcase:
Cody Rhodes & The Showtime Players vs Sin Cara & Fighting for Freedom
Usos could end up costing FFF here, but I think Cody gets the pin either way.

Tag Team Match:
The Divas of Doom vs Eve Torres & Kelly Kelly
They're just better.

Alberto Del Rio Return Match
Alberto Del Rio vs Alex Riley
Could do with a big shocker like this. Besides, a ADR return win doesnt really do anything for him, apart from get him back in the hunt for the WWE Title, and I dont think he belongs in that conversation right now. A big win for A-Ri could catapult him instantly.

AND;
THE ROCK, CM PUNK AND KEVIN NASH WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE

Predictions:

1) Predict the winners of each match - Underlined names
2) How many championships will change hands? (Max 3) - ONE
3) Which will be the longest match? - CENA VS MIZ
4) Which will be the shortest match? DIVAS TAG MATCH
5) Who will take the fall in the World Heavyweight Championship Match? MORRISON
6) Who will score the winning fall in the Smackdown Showcase Match? CODY RHODES
7) Will the confrontation between The Rock and John Cena get physical? NO (but a physical encounter at the end of the night is a possibility)
