First of all, and I'm going to be honest, that graphic is horrible. In my opinion you're better off not having one at all because it just looks so amateur'ish and it's obvious you've spent 2 minutes on it on paint. Sorry, lol.

Second of all, and once again I'm going to be honest, that preview says nothing. It just says a couple of things about last night's Wrestlemania. X did this and Y did that, what will x and Y do. Z is here. B is there. P vs O tonight! It's just a simple list. I'd recomend you take a look at other threads and look at their previews as most people take a part of the show, disect it and hype it up. A good paragraph on each segment.

However, your opening post looks very good for your first time, I believe. So obviously there is some potential there. 2004 was one of my favourite years despite there being a fair amount of flaws. IE. Randy Orton's premature title reign, lol. But yeah, it seems like you've got potential and I'll read the show and review it if it isn't a mess like your preview, lol.

Please don't take all of this as if I'm bashing you and taking the mick, because I'm not. I'm just trying to offer some advice because any threads from this era I will always be interested in and I would always want to work. So take what I say and act on it because I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks it, mate.

Good Luck!

Oh and by the way, Jeff Hardy wasn't a part of the WWE in 2004.

Monday Night Raw
Madison Square Garden New York, NYC
March 15th 2004

New (Wrestling) Year

The opening video for RAW plays, followed by a video package which showcases all the events of last nights blockbuster. These highlights include John Cena winning his first singles championship in the WWE by giving the 500 pound Big Show the FU, the World Tag Team Champions Booker T and RVD successfully defended their gold at the grandest stage of them all by defeating not 1.. Not 2 BUT 3 tag teams they are known as Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak , The Dudley Boyz and La Resistance. Christian defeated Chris Jericho with the help of Trish Stratus leaving a flabbergasted Jericho in the ring. The numbers game did help evolution against The Rock ’N’ Sock Connection as Randy Orton gave Mick Foley a RKO. Torrie Wilson and Sable defeated Stacy Keibler and Jackie, Whilst the Cruiswerweight champion found an opening in his match and retained his gold. The most anticipated match of the evening saw the two behemoths Brock Lesnar and Goldberg get stunned by Stone Cold. New Tag champs were crowned in The Worlds Greatest Tag Team as they defeated 3 tag teams to win the gold. Molly Holly had her head shaved when she failed to regain the Womens Championship in a match against Victoria, the WWE Champion Eddie Gurrero retained his championship by outsmarting Kurt Angle by loosening his boot to avoid the deadly ankle lock and roll him up. The Deadman returned and defeated his brother Kane with ease therefore continuing the streak, Finally the main event saw RAW pitching its 3 very best wrestlers on the granddaddy of them all for the World Heavyweight Championship, for one man it was about stealing the show for another it was retaining the gold but for this last superstar it was to win the gold for the very first time…..This man was Chris Benoit achieving his lifelong dream beating both Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Opening Video hits followed by the RAW fireworks

Jim Ross: Welcome everybody to Monday Night RAW, we are live at the big apple, the city that never sleeps. We are at the iconic Madison Square Garden, I am alongside my colleague Jerry Lawler, just 24 hours ago we witnessed possibly the greatest Wrestlemania of all time.

Jerry Lawler: Your damn right JR, not only was Wrestlemania 20 possibly the greatest Wrestlemania but it changed the face of Monday Night RAW.

Jim Ross: Oh how can I forget, Chris Benoit who achieved his dream last night by finally winning the World Heavyweight Championship.

*WHATEVER*
The crowd greets The Rabid Wolverine with a monstrous pop!!!

Jerry Lawler: Speaking of the champion JR, here he is!!!

Chris Benoit walks towards the ring with a tear in his eye and raises his title high, he looks at the crowd of Madison Square Garden who are standing and clapping. The camera now moves onto ringside where Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler and the crew ringside are seen standing up and clapping. The camera now moves back to Benoit who is in the ring absorbing the standing ovation with a huge grin on his face. He now waits for the noise to die down.

Chris Benoit: From the moment I saw the likes of Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan I knew that I was going to pursue my dream of becoming a WWE wrestler.

The crowd cheers for the names of Bret and Hogan

Chris Benoit: When I was 15 my friends all used to go out and drink, meet up with girls and do drugs. I chose not to go with my friends and focus on my studies and my dream of becoming a wrestler and finally I did it. The thing my father thought I could never become let alone winning The World Heavyweight Championship.

The Crowd Clap and Cheer

Chris Benoit: There are so many people out there that I would like to thank, but most of all my family

Chris Benoit now leaves the ring and goes to the front row of Madison Square Garden and embraces his wife and kids. The Crowd give out a loud Cheer and a small “Benoit” chant breaks out. Benoit slides back into the ring.

Chris Benoit: The Hart dungeon holds a place in my heart thanks to Stu Hart, The vigorous training that I had to endure but it finally paid of.

Chris now raises the World Heavyweight Championship.

*TIME TO PLAY THE GAME*
The Game is met with a huge negative reaction, Triple H now walks towards the ring with no emotion on his face, clutching a microphone in his hand and ignoring the fans in the process.

Chris Benoit: Hunter what do you want I made you tap out last night now go back into the lockeroom and wait your turn.

The Crowd let out a huge cheer and a “You tapped out” chant breaks through
Triple H is now livid!!!

Triple H: SHUT UP!!.. Cut the crap Benoit

Chris Benoit: Crap? But you did tap out that’s a fact.

Triple H: You know what’s also a fact your going to lose you World Heavyweight Championship……TONIGHT!!!…TO ME, because Benoit I still have a rematch clause in my contract and since Shawn isn’t here because of the beating he took last night. I’m cashing in my REMATCH CLAUSE!!!!

**IM BACK**

The crowd heavily boo’s Bischoff

Eric Bischoff: Tonight Chris Benoit will indeed defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H in tonight’s main event.

Friday Night Smackdown Preview
Madison Square Garden, New York, NYC
March 19th 2004

Roster Change
If you tuned into Monday Night RAW you must have noticed that Kane is no longer part of Friday Night Smackdown. The Smackdown brand gained the behemoths Goldberg and Brock Lesnar and lost the big red machine over to the red brand.

Wrestlemania 20 Aftermath

After a blockbuster Wrestlemania, Smackdown kicks of the wrestling year with a bang! At Wrestlemania The Undertaker made his long waited return and defeated The Big red Machine who is now moved over to RAW, will this change finally end the epic rivalry of The Brothers Of Destruction? What can we expect from The Undertaker will he carve himself into the title picture and snatch the title from Eddie Gurrero? Eddie Gurrero successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship after outsmarting Kurt Angle? The angry gold medallist failed to capture gold but Kurt has not given up his chase for The World Heavyweight Championship as we will find out tonight, also Brock Lesnar still has his rematch clause from No Way Out will he cash that in before Angle can put an end to Eddies’ Lying, cheating and stealing?

Smackdown moves to Friday Nights.

Smackdown is no longer on Thursday’s and has moved back to Friday night, tune in tonight!

Nice to see another 2004 btb, hope you do well in this. Btw Johnny Stamboli, Edge were on Smackdown so if you have them on Raw, you should have explained it in the backstory. I see that you have a created wrestler on Smackdown...Haven’t seen this before. I don’t think you need the new wrestling year in the tag line. For the preview it would be fine. You really need to get rid of the Raw preview graphic, just google some pics and find a good one.

Ok lets get to the review. Benoit’s promo started off well until i read this:

Chris Benoit: Hunter what do you want I made you tap out last night now go back into the lockeroom and wait your turn.

I don’t think he would say that. HHH would probably talk a bit first and then Benoit would cut him off and then says he made him tap. Going back to the locker room line and wait your turn is kinda strange.

Why would Batista suddenly be named as a #1 contender? He was not in title contention during that time and if anyone from Evolution could have had that spot then it would probably be Flair or Orton. Christian was also in a better position than Batista as well so you could have had Christian or Jericho in the #1 contender match.

Jeff Hardy wasn’t a part of the WWE in 2004. Jeff Hardy’s return is completely strange booking here. He wasn’t featured at WM20, but here you have him warming up backstage. If he’s returned, you need to state he’s returned. At the start of your thread you explained the situation with Rock, Austin, Lesnar and Goldberg which is good. However you should also also mentioned that William Regal has returned. Regal was not back until April but it’s not a problem if you bring him back early. However you should have stated that he’s back from injury. It just seemed as nothing happened to him and he’s been wrestling the whole time.

Matt Hardy was also a heel during that time period so there is no backstory into how he turned face or how he suddenly reunited with his brother Jeff. Or is Jeff a heel, or are The Dudleys heel(who were faces in March 2004) because D-Von levelled Matt with a chair, i’m confused??

I don’t mind if people do recaps of the match endings so i don’t mind if you didn’t write out the full match. Ok on to the first match just seems weird how you put ending- Jeff hardy makes the tag. Could have layed it out a bit better.

Rock’s promo doesn’t really sound like Rock but i see that you’re trying to continue the Evolution vs Rock & Sock feud. Rock/Flair for Backlash is a good idea.

Jericho/Christian segment could have been done better, with Christian getting a few more words in.
Would love to talk to you Jericho but I’m afraid I have better things to be doing, Cya!!! That just sounds odd, you should have had Trish explain why she betrayed Jericho at WrestleMania.

Now that Booker beat Batista, shouldn’t he be in the number one contenders match instead of Batista? Then again Booker is in a tag match at Backlash. JR’s last comment to finish off raw seemed strange.

Overall i was confused with some of the booking. As you said you couldn’t write in full as you were busy but as it’s your first show you really need to work on a lot of stuff such as grammar, layout, explanation for how a star returned/moved brand etc. Just give a bit more detail in matches/segments. For commentary from JR & Lawler, try to make it seem realistic. Sorry if i sounded harsh but that’s only to help you improve your shows so work on Smackdown and it should turn out to be a good show and a fun read. I really enjoy reading threads of this time period so please make this work.

I was very confused here. In the review you have Batista in the #1 contenders match next week but then for your Backlash card you have Orton listed instead of Batista???

I think Kane will become the #1 contender. HBK/HHH are likely to end their feud at Backlash.
