Smackdown Review

Case of mind games to start off Smackdown with Kane holding the eulogy for Paul Bearer his father and Mordecai his cousin, and then it setting up this Last Ride Match for the main event of Smackdown but it makes me wonder who will go on to win tonight's main event and just who will take the Last Ride, I say it will be Kane who takes the Last Ride

Cena (c) vs RVD, face vs face contest for the WWE United States Championship was great, what a way to open up Smackdown with this great opening match, if anything it was a classic definite 4 1/2 stars for me and then after the match-up in just a pure show of sportsmanship Cena recruits RVD to join his team for the 8-man tag on the RAW Draft show for when Cena and his team face off against all 4 members of Evolution

Chavo (c) vs Funaki was at best a great filler match and especially with the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line, high-flying fast paced match-up with Chavo retaining just proves he will be Cruiserweight Champion for a long long time

Angle's backstage interview he wants in on Cena's team for the 8-man tag team match, why? But nevertheless this is going to be great and not to mention he's facing off against Eddie and if the WWE Championship will be on the line, MOTY candidate for sure, their rematch will be a classic again outdoing their Mania 20 encounter

Hands down my match of the night goes to Kurt Angle vs. Booker T. What a great back and forth contest, great wrestling maneuvers, a good portion of brawling, and a great ending.

Heyman doing the Talent Meeting was awesome

The 6-Men was quick, fast paced, hard hitting action, we didn't get to see Rhyno that much, he certainly would have made a difference size-wise for his team, but, I really liked the ending and JBL vs Mysterio in a Steel Cage next week is going to be awesome. I don't know what to make of Venis/London/Kidman/Dawn all together. Val & Dawn works for me also but, I don't know, hopefully the draft doesn't split this group up and I get to see them interact with each other more

Undertaker vs Kane main event to close out the show was great, especially the spot at the end which was so cool with the Tombstone on top of the Hearse, and I really like the Chokselam out of nowhere on the outside

Now that Undertaker is back, and he is back to his old self, makes me wonder if he will be on Cena's team when they face Evolution

I would really love to see Undertaker on Cena's team, now that would be something

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

In a huge announcement on WWE.com, Eric Bischoff announced that the following matches will be taking place this week on Raw

Chris Jericho vs HHH
Chris Benoit vs Batista
William Regal and Eugene vs Randy Orton and Ric Flair
Plus Ric Flair hosts "This is your life" for Randy Orton

Eric Bischoff is back in charge of Raw and he is pulling out all stops to save his job. In the past he’s survived Vince’s job evaluation but this time there is more pressure on Bischoff. Eric has decided that Raw this week for one night only will be a commercial free Raw. Only 6 days away from Vengeance and Eric Bischoff back in charge, what other developments will take place during this week on Raw. Only one way to find out, tune in LIVE for Monday Night Raw.

Raw will be up tomorrow. It will be a promo heavy show as this will be the final build for Vengeance.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Ive been following this thread for a while and really getting into it. Especially SD!
I really liked the Kane/Mordecai/Taker angle, however I guess Moredecai has played his part so he won't be around anymore, but I think a release was a bit too soon. You should repackae him imo. Not sure why you would give away a Last Ride free on TV. Im guessing you want to finish the feud asap. You have really built Taker up. I am looking forward to what happens with Kane next.

RVD and Cena is a good set of workers to put together. I am unsure about how well RVD looked after asking Cena to be on his team. It made RVD look very weak. The promo after in the locker room was interesting but Tajiri saying "Jackass" seemed a bit strange.

There is not much to say about the CW division. Maybe you need to build it up, bring in some fresh faces.

Angle as a face or heel is great. He really was one of the best ever during this time period. After his match we see another handshake. That is 2 in one night. I hope this doesn't become a regular occurance.

In relation to the six man tag, I really liked how the heels got a strong win. The art of haivng bad guys win is lost by most people, as if they are afraid to do it. Ive gotta say that having Val and Matt Hardy in that match was great as I see that both of these are rising stars.

I already mentioned the main event earlier, but the Heyman segment after was good. I think that next weeks show (now its live) is more like a 2 hour ppv. We have a cage match and a wwe title match. Im not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Im definately going to read, but maybe you should have saved it for the PPV.

Winnipeg’s own Chris Jericho opens Raw
The Raw video package opens as the announcers welcome us to the show. Chris Jericho’s music hits as hometown hero Winnipeg’s own Chris Jericho comes down to a great ovation. Jericho gets a mic and says it’s great to be back in his home town. We are just 6 days away from Vengeance and in 6 days two of Canada’s finest athletes go at it for the world heavyweight title. He calls out Chris Benoit to come down. The world champion Chris Benoit comes out to a great ovation. They shake hands. Jericho talks about the problems they were having last week and hoped that at Vengeance this does not become a problem for them when they defend their tag titles. He wants to make history at Vengeance and doesn’t want to be let down by Benoit so he hopes Benoit lives up to his end of the bargain. Benoit tells Jericho that he is indeed a team player and if Jericho thinks that all he cares is about the world heavyweight title then he is wrong, he also cares about the tag team titles. He is holding two titles and he is proud to be a tag team champion with Jericho, he will give it his 100% at Vengeance just like he always does. Benoit promotes his dvd as we see footage of his upcoming dvd on the screen. Jericho says it’s good that Chris is not releasing his dvd after Vengeance because he wouldn’t want to include his title defeat at Vengeance. Benoit laughs it off and tells Jericho that since Jericho became champion before him, he’s yet to see a dvd of Jericho. Benoit gets personal and says while I was winning a title at WrestleMania, all you cared was being blind in love and you got hurt. Benoit gets booed for mentioning this. I cared about wrestling but you cared about Trish but look what that got you Chris. Jericho gets pissed off and says I see what you’re trying to do Benoit but that will not make me lose focus. I’ve put my problems behind me and now my #1 goal is to become the world heavyweight champion this Sunday.
Jericho says how about we ask all these Jerichoholics who they want to see win the world title this Sunday? The crowd is slightly more pro Jericho since it’s in his hometown. Eric Bischoff and Coach come out on the stage. Bischoff says it’s great to be back in charge. Bischoff says the draft next week will change many careers but will also change the face of both Raw and Smackdown. He’s going to do things on Raw that have never been done or seen before and starting with tonight for the first time ever we’re having a commercial free Raw. Bischoff says last week Eugene made a mockery out of his show when he ran Raw but now the power is back in his hands. Bischoff says next week he’s going to humiliate Paul Heyman when he not only defeats him in a match, he’s going to take away his top stars. He looks at Benoit and Jericho and says one of you will be champion going into next Monday Night and it could be possible that Raw may not even have a champion if one of you gets drafted to Smackdown. Last week Benoit and Jericho laughed at him last week but now the time for laughing is over. He hopes that Jericho gets humiliated in his hometown later on tonight but right now he wants Jericho to get out the ring because Benoit you will be having your match with Batista right now. Bischoff and Coach leave as Batista comes down as Jericho stares down Jericho on the ramp. Bischoff and Coach leave as Jericho goes over to join the announcers for commentary.

Match 1
Non Title Match
Chris Benoit vs Batista
The match starts off with a collar and elbow tie up with Batista getting the better of the exchange. He locks Benoit into a side headlock, Benoit reverses by pushing Batista off of him and whipping him off the ropes but Batista comes in and takes Benoit down with a huge shoulder knock down. Batista then flexes his muscles and poses. Batista then whips Benoit off the ropes, baseball slide by Benoit and Benoit kicks Batista to the gut and delivers a snap suplex. He goes for a cover and Batista powers out at 2. Benoit delivers some knife edge chops across the chest of Batista knocking him down. Jericho mentions that he’s been in the ring with Batista before, he beat Orton before and he beat Flair in the fastest team in the beat the clock challenge to get his title shot. Jericho says tonight in his hometown he’s going to beat HHH. Benoit brings Batista back up to his feet and sends him into the corner but runs into a big boot by Batista. Clothesline by Batista and Benoit kicks out at 2. Backbreaker and Batista gets another near fall. He then whips Benoit into the corner turnbuckle with velocity that Benoit bounces off the turnbuckle. Batista goes for the spinebuster but Benoit counters the spinebuster attempt in mid-air by nailing Batista with a tornado DDT to pin Batista for a 2 count only. Jerry Lawler starts stirring up trouble by asking Jericho, does it bother him that he hasn’t been champion for more than 2 years and now one of his best friends Chris Benoit is champion. Jericho says of course it bothers him that he hasn’t been champion for years but he is happy for Benoit’s success. Benoit then begins to lock in a Sleeper Hold to ground Batista but Batista fights his way out of it by elbowing Benoit over and over again. Then both men are back on their feet fighting it out exchanging rights and lefts until Batista whips Benoit off the ropes and delivers a powerslam and Benoit kicks out at 2. Batista then lifts Benoit up on his shoulders and this time locks in a torture rack submission hold. Will Benoit tap.

Jericho looking on intently along with the fans as they are trying to will Benoit back into this. Benoit looks like he is going to tap out but Benoit fights out of it. He falls back on to his feet countering the Torture Rack into an arm drag which sends Batista reeling as he falls down to the canvas hard which sends Batista on to the outside of the ring. The ref starts to begin his count and Batista gets back in at 5 and when Benoit tries to run off the ropes bouncing off of them, Batista bounces off the ropes and he Spears Benoit to pin him 1…2.. and Benoit just kicked out. Batista gets a chinlock on Benoit but Benoit is able to counter into a backdrop suplex. Benoit is back up and goes up to the top rope and hits a diving headbutt. He goes for a cover and Batista kicks out at 2 ½. He waits for Batista to get back up to his feet and Benoit hits a series of German suplexes. He goes for a sharpshooter but Batista kicks Benoit in the face as Benoit accidently knocks the referee down. Benoit goes to check on the referee. Batista nails Benoit with a clubbing blow to the back of the head. Batista is frustrated and angry and goes outside to grab Benoit’s world title belt. Jericho gets out of his commentary seat and goes to the ring and Batista sees him coming as they exchange words and from behind Benoit hits a german suplex on Batista. Benoit then yells at Jericho who’s outside the ring, telling him he can win this match on his own and doesn't need his help. Jericho tries to explain himself and then Benoit turns around, Batista is back up and he kicks Benoit in the gut and then sets up for the Batista Bomb as Jericho watches from the outside. Batista has Benoit in position for the Batista Bomb. Benoit is up in the air and Benoit in mid-air counters the Batista attempt and locks in the Crippler Crossface from out of nowhere. Benoit has it locked in, Batista taps out and the match is over while Jericho looks on. Jericho starts clapping outside the ring. After the match they exchange glances, and now are having a few words while they leave together.
Winner: Chris Benoit

Backstage Eric Bischoff berates William Regal and Eugene and asks them how does it feel to be working under Eric Bischoff again. They tried to embarrass him last week. Now that he’s back in charge they better hope they get drafted to Smackdown because if they remain on Raw he’s going to make their lives miserable because he hasn’t forgotten what he had to go through last week. He tells Regal that his match with HHH at Vengeance will be a No Disqualification Match. Regal says that’s exactly what he wanted. He reminds Bischoff that his job is on the line and if he doesn’t treat his stars fairly then that could go against him. Bischoff says he isn’t going to be intimidated. He knows what to do to make Raw more successful than Smackdown. Eugene says he only wanted to have fun with his Uncle, he thought Eric enjoyed singing, Eugene says he made Bischoff proud last week. Eric tells Eugene that wasn’t funny at all but he has an idea. He reminds Eugene how Matt Hardy turned down the opportunity to take Eugene under his wing and for that Hardy suffered a beating at the hands of Batista. Then he traded Hardy to Smackdown. Bischoff says next week on the draft show, he wants Eugene to take on Matt Hardy in a match. He wants Eugene to humiliate him. Regal tells Eric that Eugene will be ready because he’s taught Eugene how to wrestle and now Eugene has the qualities of a great wrestler. That is something Matt Hardy would never be able to do. Bischoff says Eugene better not let him down. Regal and Eugene leave as their match is next.

Backstage Evolution accept John Cena’s challenge. Batista walks into the locker room and he’s mad. The rest of the Evolution members calm him down. Flair and Orton tell Batista and HHH that right now they’re going to soften Eugene and Regal up for them.

Match 2
Randy Orton and Ric Flair vs Eugene and William Regal
Eugene and Regal come down first. This is the first time they are teaming up together. Eugene asks the fans if they enjoyed watching him run Raw last week? Big pop for Eugene. Regal says would they like to see Eugene run Raw again in the near future? The crowd goes wild. Regal says this Sunday him and Eugene are the underdogs in their matches but Regal says they are tough. He’s going to give HHH a thrashing of a lifetime. Eugene says HHH you may like to play games but Mr Regal is going to end your game, it will be GAME OVER YEAHHHHHHHHHH. Eugene gets cut off by Evolution’s theme as Flair and Orton come down and the match begins. Ric Flair and Eugene start off the match. Eugene outsmarts Flair in the early going with lots of counters and lock ups. Flair comes back with a thumb to the eye and starts delivering some vicious hard knife edge chops to Eugene. He tags in Orton. Orton takes it to Eugene and taunts him. Orton whips Eugene off the ropes, Eugene ducks a clothesline and delivers a crossbody on Orton and gets a 2 count only. Eugene goes up to the top rope for a double axe handle but Orton catches Eugene with a right hand. He tags in Flair and then Flair and Orton take over and control most of the match. HHH and Batista are watching the match on a monitor and they like what they see.

Flair goes up to the top but this never works as Eugene throws Flair down. He tags in Regal and Regal delivers a European uppercut to Flair. Overhead half nelson suplex and Flair kicks out at 2 ½. Flair reverses a whip and sends Regal hard into the corner knocking Regal down. Flair sets up for the figure four and he has it locked in. Will Regal tap out. Flair holds onto the ropes for more leverage but the ref sees this and Flair has to break the hold. Flair chops away at Regal and tags in Orton. Orton gets a chinlock on Regal. Eugene gets the crowd behind Regal as Regal is back up to his feet and drops Orton with a back suplex. Regal makes the hot tag to Eugene and Orton tags in Flair. Flair goes for a punch, Eugene blocks and imitates Hulk Hogan and starts hammering away at Flair. Flair ducks a right hand and delivers a low blow to Eugene and the ref calls for the bell. Flair goes for the figure four. Regal gets in and breaks the hold. He knocks Flair down with a right hand. Orton and Regal exchange lefts and rights and Regal knocks Orton down with a right hand. Regal grabs a chair from outside the ring and chases Orton and Flair away. Regal goes back in and helps Eugene back in. Regal is fired up and this Sunday he’s going in for a war with The Game HHH.
Winners by DQ William Regal and Eugene

Backstage Eric Bischoff tells Coach that Trish is not here tonight but she will be back next week. Coach says that’s great but it’s a damn shame that she was humiliated last week.Coach is worried that he could get drafted to Smackdown, he doesn’t want to work for Paul Heyman. Teddy Long shows up and tells Eric Bischoff that in January, Bischoff let him run Raw for one night only and he did a much better job than Eugene. Eric says that’s right. Now during the past couple of months he’s not been utilised well on Raw, he’s been disrespected by a lot of superstars who have turned down his managerial services. Now if he remains on Raw he wants Bischoff to give him more opportunities here. He’s heard a lot about Smackdown being the land of opportunity and maybe over there he could get his opportunity. Bischoff gets annoyed by Long’s comments and tells Teddy to stop complaining. The reason why no one wants Long to manage them is because they feel Long does not have what it takes to take them to the top. He disrespects Long and tells him to get the hell out of his office. Long says that’s fine playa, one day you will value what you lost.
Match 3
Lita vs Jazz
The match begins with Jazz taking down Lita with a waist lock take down. She pounds away on Lita and whips her into the corner and runs into a boot. Clothesline by Lita. Back suplex by Lita and Jazz kicks out at 2. Lita goes for a moonsault off the top rope and misses as Jazz moves out the way. Jazz then made Lita tap out to the STF. Jazz is a force to be reckoned with, will she be walking out with the women’s title this Sunday in the 5 pack challenge. Victoria comes out on the stage and holds up her title as Jazz taunts her that this Sunday she’s going to end Victoria’s reign.
Winner: Jazz
HBK cuts a promo in the back and said last week when he superkicked The Rock was simply an accident. What won’t be an accident is when Ric Flair tastes some sweet chin music this Sunday. Ric needed Evolution’s help to beat him last year but this time it will be different because this time HBK will be the one who will be victorious. Michaels talks about the draft and if he was to be drafted to Smackdown then he discussed the possibilities of mixing it up with new stars. HBK says no matter where he ends up, he’s always going to steal the show.

Match 4

La Resistance vs Charlie Haas and The Dudleys

La Resistance come down first and cut a promo at the start. Rene Dupree says they will have a memorable night at Vengeance because not only will he defeat Charlie Haas, Sylvan and Rob Conway will win back the tag team titles. They do their national anthem and get cut off by The Dudleys theme as The Dudleys come down with Charlie Haas. Haas starts off with Conway. They lock up as Conway immediately kicks Haas into the mid section and gets a wrist lock on Haas. Haas counters and takes Conway down with a german suplex. Conway makes the tag to Dupree. Scoop slam by Dupree, here we go French tickler and Dupree hits a knee drop on Haas. He goes for a cover and Haas kicks out at 2. He goes for a cover and Sylvan breaks up the hold. The Dudleys get in the ring and we get a big brawl. The Dudleys end up brawling with Conway and Sylvan outside the ring. Conway reverses a whip and sends D-Von into the post and then helps out Sylvan against Bubba. Haas and Dupree battling it out inside the ring. Winners: La Resistance

Eric Bischoff calls Paul Heyman and they come to an agreement that all matches next week on the draft show will be Raw vs Smackdown. Their match will be contested in a lumberjack match with Raw and Smackdown lumberjacks. Bischoff then says once their match is over and he’s victorious, maybe Heyman could be working for Bischoff because Heyman could get drafted to Raw. Bischoff hangs up and starts laughing.

Main Event
Chris Jericho vs HHH
Before the match gets underway, Chris Benoit's music hits. Benoit this time comes out for commentary and JR & King are wondering why Benoit is out here on commentary. They are wondering if this is Chris Benoit's way of trying to one-up Chris Jericho, to try to return the favour from earlier on tonight. Benoit tells them that he is here to watch his friend and tag team partner compete and also to scout Jericho in terms of looking for ways to beat Jericho at Vengeance this Sunday during their World Title match. He’s also he is here to watch Chris Jericho's back. Then HHH's music hits and he comes out to heavy boos and does his usual entrance. He sees Benoit on commentary and he is seething because Benoit still has the one thing HHH wants but can never have back again as long as Benoit is champion. Jericho comes out to a deafening ovation yet again and he does his entrance. Jericho then sees his tag team partner and friend and the man who he will face this Sunday at Vengeance for the World Heavyweight Championship, Chris Benoit on commentary. Jericho then asks Benoit what he's doing here. Benoit then says he is out here to watch Jericho's back, and then the match is going to get started as it finally gets underway.
The match starts off with a collar and elbow tie up and both men are trying to get the better of the exchange until HHH knees Jericho in the stomach. He whips Jericho off the ropes but Jericho counters with a flying forearm and HHH kicks out at 2. Jericho chops away at HHH. He whips HHH off the ropes and knocks him down with a reverse elbow to the face. Both men then are exchanging rights and lefts with one another until HHH with a rake to the eyes. He then whips Jericho into the corner turnbuckle. HHH goes over to Jericho and then climbs on top of him mounted on top of him and begins to punch Jericho over and over again until the count of 10. Then when HHH is trying to get a reaction of the crowd, Jericho counters by dropping HHH down with an atomic Drop which sends HHH down on to the canvas. Jericho then sees this as his opportunity and springboards off the ropes for the Lionsault but HHH sensing what was coming moves out of the way at the last second and Jericho lands on his feet. HHH then hits a big clothesline on Jericho. HHH sees Benoit on commentary and yells at him that the World Heavyweight Championship is mine and that it is only a matter of time before he wins it back. Benoit then gets up from his seat and stands and then holds the World Heavyweight Championship to HHH's face which gets HHH even more mad. He then tells HHH to turn around and when HHH does turn around, Jericho is back up and hits a running insiguri on HHH and covers him and HHH kicks out at 2. They end up brawling outside the ring and Jericho throws HHH back in and Jericho whips HHH into the corner and runs into a boot by the game. HHH then takes control assaulting Jericho in the corner, he begins to wear down Jericho. He whips Jericho off the ropes and nails him with a high knee to the face and Jericho kicks out at 2. HHH sets up for the pedigree but Jericho counters into a backdrop.

Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho and has it locked in but HHH is near the ropes and makes the ropes but Jericho still has the hold locked in. He has until the count of 5 to break it and he breaks it up at 3. Regal is watching the match on a monitor with Eugene and they enjoy what they see. Jericho clotheslines HHH over the top rope but HHH hangs on the apron. Jericho runs off the ropes and springboards off the ropes to hit a triangle dropkick sending HHH flying off the apron and to the outside of the ring. The ref starts counting and HHH makes it back at 8. Jericho then sees HHH coming and tries to run off the ropes bouncing off of them and when he is coming in, HHH catches him coming in with a spinebuster with such velocity from out of nowhere to pin Jericho for a 2 count only. HHH gets Jericho back on to his feet and instead of going for the Pedigree he whips Jericho into the referee who was on the opposite side of the ring near the corner turnbuckle with Jericho and the referee knocking heads as they both fall to the canvas. Triple H then sees this as his opportunity and he goes out on to the outside to get a steel chair and HHH comes back into the ring. Benoit gets out from where his commentary seat is and rushes out of there and gets back into the ring to stop HHH from using the chair on Jericho. Jericho is now getting back up from that spill he just took with the referee in bumping heads and HHH & Benoit are having a tug of war over the chair. Benoit grabs the chair away from HHH but accidentally in the process hits Jericho directly in the face with the chair. Benoit then proceeds to check on Jericho but out of nowhere HHH grabs Benoit and throws him out of the ring whipping him out and over the ropes and to the outside. HHH gets rid of the chair and Benoit.

HHH then revives the referee and is going for the pin. The ref makes the pin as HHH is going for the pin 1…2…. 2 1/2 Jericho just gets the shoulder up. HHH is fuming now as he can't believe that Jericho kicks out yet again. HHH begins to go over to the turnbuckle exposing the turnbuckle with the referee's view being obstructed of course. HHH is walking over to Jericho. He begins to try to slingshot Jericho into the exposed turnbuckle just as Benoit is getting up on that side. Jericho ends up reversing the slingshot attempt and slingshots HHH on to Benoit who is on the apron and HHH's head bounces off the exposed turnbuckle in the process which staggers HHH. It knocks Benoit back down on to the outside with HHH staggering and he turns around and Jericho out of nowhere hits the Codebreaker to pin HHH 1...2...3. The match is over and Jericho celebrates his victory and HHH then rolls out of the ring getting the hell out of here. Benoit is now getting back to his feet and when he does Benoit and Jericho are starting to get angry with one another and begin to argue with each other in the center of the ring. It's getting really heated now as they are in each other's face nose to nose and then they begin to shove each other and then now these 2 men are going at it as they are coming to blows exchanging rights and lefts with each other until Eugene and Regal start to run out. They get in the ring and separate both men.
They break them apart but then get both men to shake hands and they do, with them apologizing to each other.
Winner: Chris Jericho

In the parking lot, Evolution calm HHH down so he can clear his mind. Flair tells HHH it will all be fine at Vengeance when Evolution be victorious. Flair tells Batista to go out and party with HHH and they will join them later. Evolution members high five each other as HHH gets into his limo with Batista and drives off.

The announcers run down the card for Vengeance as this Sunday Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho will be pulling double duty. Not only will they defend their tag team titles, they will later on go on to face each other for the world heavyweight title. Plus next week it’s the draft lottery. Jerry Lawler is concerned that he could get drafted to Smackdown.

Randy Orton’s THIS IS YOUR LIFE SEGMENT.
There are balloons and confetti seems to be flying down from the rafters all over the arena as music begins to play all around. Ric Flair's music hits and the crowd in an absolute sign of respect cheer Flair with another part of the crowd booing Flair heavily as he does a Woo and the crowd Woos with him as he gets into the ring and then begins to get on the mic as he tries to talk he gets booed but also there's a Woo chant and Flair tells the crowd to shut up which then gets the crowd to turn on Flair fast. The reason why he is out here right now is because he’s going to do “Orton this is your life.” He introduces Randy as the 2004 King of the Ring and the man who will become the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history when he wins the title at SummerSlam. Randy Orton then comes out to heavy boos as he does his usual Legend Killer stance and his entrance as he comes down to the ring and is now in the ring with Flair. Ric Flair then says Randy this is your life. Then the It's Your Life music plays and Flair says to roll the footage. We get a video package of Orton from childhood to his quick rise in the WWE. It shows Orton joining Evolution, Orton winning the Intercontinental Title, Orton killing legends including his win over Mick Foley and most recently Orton becoming King of the Ring. Orton is smiling almost laughing telling Ric that he didn't have to go all out like this but Flair says he had to because he knows that if there is anyone who needs an "It's Your Life" segment it's you Randy because you are so much better than The Rock and your life is so much more interesting than that Hollywood piece of trash, that wannabe actor The Rock.
Orton then begins to talk about his accomplishments in the fact that he has killed so many legends. The most notable being one of The Rock's best friends in Mick Foley, he ended Mick Foley's career inside of Foley's own environment inside Hell In A Cell to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship. He's the youngest Intercontinental Champion in WWE history breaking The Rock's record which just proves that he is better than The Rock ever was. Now he is going to prove that at Vengeance Rock is not in his league and that Orton is the best 3rd generation superstar to brace a WWE ring and not The Rock. Orton then brags about how he has also done something The Rock has never done in his career and that is win the King of the Ring and Orton did that and that at SummerSlam Orton then says it doesn't matter if it's Benoit or if it's Jericho, doesn't matter because you are looking at the next World Heavyweight Champion, King Randy Orton Legend Killer. Flair then gets on the mic and then says all that aside Randy now are you ready to begin the journey that is your life? Randy then says Ric oh yes, and Flair then gets them to play music and introduces the first person from Randy's past, his old high-school girlfriend. She comes out and Flair and Orton are smiling almost laughing and Randy's old high-school girlfriend is smiling at Randy winking at him but Randy's smile turns into a frown now and Flair then signals to the people down at ringside to get her a mic. Flair then begins to ask her a question, which is how come she broke up with Randy here? She says she dumped him and Flair was like what, you dumped a good looking guy like Randy Orton. Randy then cuts her off and walks over to her and he then brings her over to him and kisses her one last time and then after RKOs her out of nowhere. The crowd are booing Orton hard for this but some are laughing because of what Orton did. JR calls Orton and Flair classless and King is saying how Orton's ex-girlfriend deserved it as he is laughing up a storm on commentary.

Then Flair decides to bring out the second person from Orton's past and it’s a commanding officer. Everyone is surprised as they have no idea who this guy is. Orton explains who he is. That guy is a commanding officer. Orton says before he became a wrestler he was in the Marine Corps. He blamed that officer for almost ruining his life because Orton was discharged from the military after spending months in military prison. The officer says Orton deserved what he got because he disobeyed orders. Orton says he apologises for his behaviour because that incident changed his life and now he’s a wrestler, the future of the WWE. He shakes the officer’s hand and suddenly Orton hits the RKO and smiles. Flair then introduces the final guest and this time it is his father Cowboy Bob Orton as Randy's father comes out and joins Randy in the ring and shakes hands with Flair and hugs his son Randy. Jim Ross says he’s already RKO’d two people, he would probably even RKO his own father. Lawler says don’t be silly JR. Flair signals the people down at ringside to get Cowboy Bob Orton a mic and when they do, Bob Orton then gets on the mic and then says he always knew right from the moment Randy was born and he held Randy in his arms, he knew that his son would be destined for greatness in this business and hell he already is. His son's accomplishments outweigh The Rock's any day. Hell even Bob Orton was a better wrestler in his prime than Rock's old man Rocky Johnson ever was, and that history is repeating itself but this time with his son and Rocky Johnson's son. Cowboy Bob then says his son by associating himself with HHH, Ric Flair and Batista that Orton is already well on his way to becoming the greatest superstar of all time and that Summerslam is only the first step towards his son cementing his legacy. Flair says you deserve this Randy, the reason why he chose to do this here in this country because next month at SummerSlam in Canada, Orton will write a new chapter in his legacy. He will become the youngest world heavyweight champion. Randy says this is one of his greatest moments of his life and thanks Flair for doing this. The Ortons embrace in the ring and THE ROCK’S MUSIC HITS and he comes down with his father Rocky Johnson.
Rock does his “finally” introduction and says since Flair decided to give you a surprise, the Rock decided to give you all a surprise, give it up for The Rock’s father Rocky Johnson. Randy Orton is pissed and says what is the meaning of this, this is not The Rock’s life, this is Randy Orton’s moment, this is his life that they are celebrating. Bob Orton tells Rock that he is disrespecting the King and Rock cuts Bob Orton off with his “IT DOESN’T MATTER” LINE. The Ortons and Flair are furious. Rocky Johnson then mocks Flair for still competing at this age and Flair is furious. Rocky Johnson then says he was better than Cowboy Bob and Rock will lay the Smackdown on Randy’s ass. The Rock then runs them down for trying to imitate The Rock’s This is your life segment which was a ratings success. This Sunday not only is The Rock going to whoop Orton’s ass all over at Vengeance, he’s also going to become the Intercontinental Champion. Orton says since he’s The King, he has a royal proclamation to make and that is that he is not going to put his title on the line at Vengeance. Orton gets booed for that. Rock says Orton can shove that royal proclamation up Cowboy Bob’s candy ass. Randy was furious. Rock says he has a counter offer. Since Randy isn’t willing to put the title on the line, Rock says he wants Orton to put his SummerSlam title shot on the line. Flair cuts in and Rock puts his hand over Flair’s face and looks Orton right in the eye and says yes or No. Orton agrees to put his SummerSlam title shot on the line.

This brings down Shawn Michaels. Shawn says it seems like we’re having a party over here and you can’t have a party without HBK. HBK says he will indeed have a celebration also at Vengeance when he takes The Nature Boy to school when he teaches him a wrestling lesson. HBK asks Flair is he man enough to take on HBK one on one this Sunday or is he going to have Evolution out there with him again. Flair takes off his jacket but Randy Orton holds him back. Flair assures HBK that their match will be one on one and he’s going to beat him. Michaels then turns his attention to The Rock. Michaels says at King of the Ring when he superkicked The Rock, it was every man for himself but last week when he superkicked The Rock it was simply a mistake. He looks at Rock and says If you Rock have a problem with that then lets deal with it. It looks like Rock and HBK are about to get it on and Flair and The Ortons jump them from behind. We get a big brawl in the ring as HBK and Flair are going at it, Rock and Randy are going at it, Cowboy Bob and Rocky Johnson are going at it. The crowd is loving this. Rock lays the Smackdown on Randy Orton knocking him down as Randy rolls out the ring. Rock hits the peoples elbow on Cowboy Bob Orton as Flair gets superkicked by HBK. HBK turns around and The Rock hits Michaels with a Rock Bottom. Payback for last week. Rock’s music hits as Rock and his father celebrate in the ring. What a match up it’s going to be this Sunday at Vengeance between The Rock and Randy Orton. Rock and Rocky Johnson stare down The Ortons as Raw comes to a close.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Review

I loved how you started the show off with Jericho and Benoit in Jericho's hometown and the fact that they are talking about Benoit's DVD and then talking about Vengeance and just who will win their match for the World Heavyweight Championship since these 2 are tag team partners but also at the same time they are the World Tag Team Champions, some obvious tension between the 2 and during the opening segment it showed

Chris Benoit beating Batista just gives Benoit all the momentum in the world for Vengeance, but for Benoit I think his luck is about to run out because come Vengeance I think there will be a new World Heavyweight Champion and that Benoit's reign I think will come to an end as Jericho will be the one to end it, as for who I think will get drafted next week on RAW to Smackdown, it's possible Batista could get drafted and if that happens, Evolution gets busted up but as for Benoit I see him staying on RAW and starting a new rivalry with Jericho after he loses the title to Jericho this Sunday

Bischoff and Coach segment with Regal and Eugene was great, and then Bischoff telling Regal that his match with HHH at Vengeance will be a No-DQ match and Bischoff being so arrogant and so full of himself thinking he is going to beat Heyman next week on RAW during the 2004 WWE Draft Lottery, and that Bischoff has put Eugene in a match for next week's Draft Special and it will be against Matt Hardy of Smackdown and then tells Eugene not to let him down, and then Coach and Bischoff now having fun at Regal and Eugene's expense

Evolution accepting the challenge laid down by Cena's team for next week on the Draft Special, this is going to be great and then Orton and Flair seeing how angry Batista is and HHH and Orton and Flair the 3 of them trying to calm Batista down and then Orton and Flair promising that they will soften up Regal and Eugene for HHH and Batista was great

Regal and Eugene beating Orton and Flair by DQ was great as this loss doesn't really hurt Orton and Flair, but it also gives Regal and Eugene momentum coming into Vengeance, so that is always great

Teddy Long backstage segment with Bischoff was great, and I hope Teddy Long does get drafted to Smackdown because here on RAW he has been disrespected by the whole locker room and that on Smackdown he can manage superstars and take them to the top and then Bischoff will be truly sorry that he ever let Long get away and Coach worried that he could get drafted to Smackdown, and then Bischoff trying to reassure him and also that Trish will be back next week is going to be great but it is possible Trish could get drafted to Smackdown

HBK then cuts his promo on Flair and his match against him at Vengeance and then HBK talking about the draft and that if he should end up on Smackdown, that he will welcome it but whatever show he ends up on, RAW or Smackdown he is going to still do what he always does and that is steal the show and that at Vengeance I can just bet HBK will say that he will kick Flair's teeth down his throat but Flair I see him beating HBK at Vengeance

Jazz beating Lita was great too

And La Resistance beating Charlie Haas and The Dudleys, is great as it gives Rene Dupree momentum into his match at Vengeance for when he does face Charlie Haas

Bischoff and Heyman phone segment was great and that all the matches next week during the Draft Lottery will be inter-promotional matches RAW vs Smackdown and that their match of Bischoff vs Heyman will be a Lumberjack Match and it is possible that the GMs could even get drafted, can you imagine if Bischoff were drafted to Smackdown he then would have to work for Heyman he would have to work under him or if Heyman were drafted to RAW he then would have to work for Bischoff he would have to work under him

Chris Jericho beating HHH was great, awesome match-up all the way throughout and Benoit trying to help Jericho out during his match by getting involved and then almost costing Jericho the match but Jericho beating HHH anyways was great too, now the tension is definitely building between these 2 men now as they end up coming to blows after the match is over and they have to be separated by Eugene and Regal was great

And Randy Orton This Is Your Life segment was funny with Flair, I laughed my ass off all the way throughout especially the part with Orton RKOing his ex-girlfriend from high-school and then RKOing his Marine Corps commanding officer, and then we get to see Randy's father Cowboy Bob Orton on RAW, this is great and then The Rock interrupting all of this as Rock brings his father Rocky Johnson into it, and then HBK coming to interrupt all of this too was great, and then all of it turning into a huge brawl at the end was great

WWE News and Notes
Many WWE officials are very much anticipating the Vengeance PPV. It seems like Raw will deliver another solid ppv. At Vengeance Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit will be pulling double duty when not only do they defend their tag team titles, they will also face each other for the world title. Randy Orton will be in his biggest match of his career when he takes on The Rock. We will also see a battle between two future hall of famers the legendary Nature Boy Ric Flair takes on Shawn Michaels. William Regal who made his in ring return last month will take on The Game HHH. Plus many more top matches. Tune in this Sunday for Vengeance.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Garrison Cade and Rico. We wish them the best in all future endeavors

The WWE draft will be taking place this coming Monday on Raw. Expect to see a few big moves but there won’t be a huge roster shake up. Expect to see plenty of surprises on this show on a very historic night this coming Monday on Raw.

The following matches have been confirmed for the draft show

8 Man Tag: Evolution vs John Cena, RVD, Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle
Eric Bischoff vs Paul Heyman
Eugene vs Matt Hardy
Plus more matches will be announced soon for the show on wwe.com

Officials have discussed the idea of turning Matt Hardy face. He is expected to start a feud with Val Venis soon.

Officials have discussed the idea of turning The Dudleys heel. They are expected to get a renewed push soon.

Officials seem to be high on Tajiri. They feel he’s the next cruiserweight star to move out of the cruiserweight division and he is expected to receive a big push. Since WrestleMania, Rey Mysterio moved out of the cruiserweight division and since then he's feuded with a lot of top stars on Smackdown and Rey has made quite a big impact. Officials believe that Tajiri can also make a strong impact. Expect to see a Tajiri push soon.

Officials are also very pleased with Dawn Marie's work on Smackdown. They feel that she plays her character very well. Not only is she assistant GM, she also manages Val Venis and the tag team champions Billy Kidman and Paul London. It is possible that Dawn could run Smackdown for one night only in the near future. Officials have discussed to bring in a heel diva(possibly Candice Michelle) to pair up with Dawn to even up the odds for her to feud with Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler in the near future.

Trish Stratus will still be on television but she will not be competing in action till Mid-August due to injury.

The write up for Vengeance matches won't be long. Starting from the Vengeance ppv, my match write ups won't be long.

Vengeance is shaping up to be tremendous with all the main event quality matches. I can't wait for the Dudleys to turn heel either on SD!.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Vengeance is shaping up to be one of your best pay per views of this calendar year especially with the types of matches you have on your card and as for Matt Hardy I can't wait for him to turn face and The Dudleys turning heel as well, and if Tajiri gets a push I hope he gets a WWE United States or WWE Intercontinental Championship reign at least

WWE Smackdown
July 8, 2004
The announcers welcome us to the show as Smackdown is LIVE tonight. Michael Cole and Tazz go over the matches we will be seeing tonight. The main event for tonight is a WrestleMania XX rematch between Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle for the WWE Title.

Match 1
Tag Team Title Match
Billy Kidman and Paul London © vs Jamie Noble and Nunzio
Smackdown kicks off with a tag team title match between two high flying teams. The tag team champions Paul London and Billy Kidman make their way down to the ring. Tazz states that Noble and Nunzio asked Paul Heyman for this match earlier on tonight. Dawn Marie cuts a promo at the start of the match and tells the fans that we will be seeing a lot of her tonight. She plugs a bikini contest for later on tonight. Noble knees London to the gut and puts London on his shoulder and falls straight back. He goes for a pin and gets a 2 count only. Tag is made to Nunzio who comes in and he nails London with some forearm shots. He whips him off the ropes and takes him down with an armdrag. Nunzio sends London into the ropes, London counters with a dropsault to the face. He tags in Kidman. He lifts London up and moonsault press by London, great double team work by London and Kidman. Double elbow to the face of Kidman sending him down and then they drop more elbows to the face of Kidman. The match goes back and forth with all four men in the ring at the same time. London and Kidman celebrate their win with Dawn outside the ring. After the match Nunzio and Noble start arguing in the ring and start shoving each other. They end up brawling and Nunzio dumps Noble over the top rope all the way to the floor and tells him that they are done. This teams short run as a tag team is over.
Winners: Paul London and Billy Kidman
Backstage John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle and RVD are in the locker room. They all discuss the draft. Angle tells Cena they may not see eye to eye but in the past they’ve teamed up before and the last time they teamed up they won. RVD then says he took Cena to the limit last week and some day they could meet again for the title. RVD talks about his time on Raw and he has history with Evolution and this is why he chose to be on Cena’s team. He respects Cena and knows how it’s like to be screwed out of the KOTR Tournament Finals. Just like Cena, he was also a runner up. Paul Heyman shows up and tells them that they better not let him down because he doesn’t want to be associated with losers on this brand. He says next week on Smackdown maybe the four of you may not even be here on this brand. He states that he could get better replacements than them. Cena fires back and says maybe next week you Heyman may not be on this brand and you could be working for Bischoff. Cena does his you can’t see me taunt. Heyman then tells Cena if Cena gets drafted then he’s not going to take the US Title to Smackdown because he’s going to strip him of the US Title. Heyman has a grin on his face and leaves.

Match 2
Booker T vs Tajiri
Booker T comes down to the ring and he’s not in a good mood tonight. Booker grabs a mic and whines about last week. He claims that it should have been him in the main event tonight. Since he’s in a fighting mood he’s here to kick some sucka’s ass. Booker says he’s the greatest Smackdown superstar on the roster and challenges anyone to prove him wrong. Tajiri’s music hits as he comes down to accept Booker’s challenge. Booker T doesn’t take Tajiri seriously and tells him he beat him last month. He didn’t even break a sweat. He wants real competition and tells Tajiri to get the hell out of here. Tajiri refuses to leave. Booker says it looks like I’ve gotta kick your punk ass. Booker hits Tajiri with a right hand and starts assaulting Tajiri. He wants the ref to ring the bell and the match is on. Booker T dumps Tajiri outside the ring and starts stomping away at him. He sends him back in and backs him into a corner and taunts him by hitting Tajiri with some knife edge chops. He whips Tajiri into the opposite corner and goes for a charge and misses. Tajiri puts the tarantula hold on Booker. Tajiri releases the hold and kicks Booker off the apron. Booker begins to get back up his feet but Tajiri baseball slide dropkicks Booker back down. Booker rolls back in and Tajiri goes up to the top and gets a high cross body on Booker and gets a 2 count only. He goes for an irish whip, Booker reverses and lands a side kick on Tajiri. He goes for a pin but lets go at 2. Booker wants to punish Tajiri. Booker really underestimating Tajiri here. Booker then drops Tajiri with a spinebuster.

Spinaroonie time and here we go Booker showing off by doing the spinaroonie. He brings Tajiri back to his feet and Booker goes for his arm twist kick, Tajiri ducks and lands a kick to the jaw of Booker. What a shot by Tajiri. He goes for a cover and gets a near fall. Tajiri whips Booker into the corner and runs into a boot by Booker. Booker goes for the scissors kick, Tajiri ducks and scores with a hurracarana and pins Booker for a 2 count only. Booker getting frustrated here. Booker gets up and stomps away at Tajiri and whips him off the ropes but Tajiri counters into a handspring elbow smash right on the face of Booker. He goes for a pin and Booker kicks out at 2. Booker T then reverses a whip and knocks Tajiri down with an elbow to the face. Booker then hammers Tajiri with lefts and rights in the corner and the ref starts counting to 5 and Booker breaks it up by 4. Booker T starts taunting Tajiri and then lifts him up for a powerbomb, he goes for it but Tajiri sprays mist green mist right in Booker’s eyes and falls on him and pins him for the 3 count. The ref didn’t see it and Tajiri has pulled off a huge upset. Tajiri receives a huge pop and rolls outside the ring and celebrates while Booker is screaming in pain inside the ring. Tajiri celebrates on the ramp as Booker holds onto the ropes, pulls himself up and starts kicking the ropes, throwing a tantrum in the ring.
Winner: Tajiri

Backstage JBL cuts a promo on Rey Mysterio. JBL says tonight there will be no place to run and no place to hide for Rey because when they step inside that cage he’s going to give him a beating he will never forget. He is going to show Rey Mysterio a side of him that no one has ever seen, a violent side of JBL.Now if this is JBL’s last night on Smackdown then it will certainly be a memorable night for him. After tonight, Rey Mysterio won’t ever be the same again.

Summer Bikini Contest: Stacey Keibler vs Dawn Marie vs Torrie Wilson
Tazz hosted a bikini contest. He tells the fans that all three participants are going to walk around the ring one by one and show off their bikinis. Then it will be up the audience to determine who the winner is of the Summer bikini contest. Each of the three divas play to the crowd and then disrobed and did a little dance. Tazz says alright now this is where you all come in. He asks the fans who they think was the best. Stacey gets the loudest ovation and she is declared the winner. Dawn cuts in and protests. Torrie congratulates her and Dawn cheapshots both of them from behind. She goes after Stacey and starts assaulting her only for Torrie to pull Dawn off. Torrie and Stacey then hit Dawn with a double clothesline. They bend Dawn over and they give her a spanking and she screams. She gets tossed outside the ring. Stacey and Torrie celebrate in the ring as Dawn stares them down from the ramp vowing revenge.
Backstage Chavo talks to Paul Heyman about the status of the cruiserweight title if he gets drafted to Raw. He just recently became the cruiserweight champion. Paul Heyman says he would hate to see Chavo go to Raw but if he does then he has no choice but to strip him of the title. The cruiserweight title is exclusive to Smackdown. Bischoff may have made the division very popular back in WCW but now he doesn’t have the division on Raw. That’s a great advantage for Paul Heyman and that’s something Bischoff would love to have but he can’t. So under no circumstances will he allow Chavo to take the title to Raw. However if Chavo remains here, he will give him plenty of opportunities to shine on Smackdown. Chavo leaves the office and bumps into Eddie Guerrero. Chavo says he hopes next week Eddie gets drafted because he doesn’t want to be on the same show as him. He hates hearing Eddie, Eddie, Eddie chants. Fans start the Eddie chants. He vows to become a bigger star than Eddie. Eddie mocks Chavo and tells Chavo that Latino Heat has been on a roll ever since he beat Chavo at the Royal Rumble. He then went on to win the WWE Title a month later and now he’s still champion. I mean look at you Chavito, look how far you’ve fallen. Chavo gets angry and talks about the discussion he had with Paul Heyman and maybe it could be Eddie who gets drafted. Now if he remains champion by the end of the night, he may not be keeping the belt with him if he gets drafted. Chavo has a smirk on his face and leaves as Eddie looks on.

Match 3
Steel Cage Match
Rey Mysterio vs JBL

JBL comes out first. Rey Mysterio then comes down to a great ovation. The match begins with JBL kicking Rey to the mid section and then whips him off the ropes and takes Rey down with a shoulder block. He tries to ram Rey’s head into the turnbuckle but Rey puts the breaks on and rams JBL’s head into the turnbuckle. JBL is staggering and Rey jumps up to the top rope and takes JBL down with a high cross body. Rey bounces off the ropes but JBL knocks Rey down with a big boot. JBL then starts punishing Rey, assaulting him in the corner by kicking Rey in the face, taunting Rey. JBL starts climbing the cage but gets back down as he changes his mind and wants to punish Rey. JBL hits some clubbing blows to the back of Rey. JBL rams Rey’s face into the cage. He then hits the last call and gets a 2 count only. Suplex and JBL gets a near fall. JBL taking control of this match up. He goes for a clothesline from hell and Rey counters with a dropkick to the face. Rey starts hitting JBL with some lefts and rights and bounces off the ropes but JBL counters with a side walk slam. JBL starts to climb to the top rope as he attempts to climb out the cage but Rey gets up and stops JBL by holding onto his leg. JBL kicks Rey in the face sending him back down but Rey gets back up and uses his quickness to stop JBL. He rams JBL’s head on the cage as JBL comes crashing down to the mat. Rey goes for a legdrop and JBL moves out the way. Both men are down. JBL gets back up first and starts hammering away at Rey in the corner. Shoulders to the gut by JBL.

JBL then catapulted Mysterio headfirst into the cage. Mysterio starts to bleed. JBL taunts Rey and wants the cage door open as he slowly walks over. Mysterio stops him and sends him into the ropes and delivers a high cross body and pins JBL for a 2 count. Rey brings JBL back to his feet and rams JBL’s head into the turnbuckle. JBL is staggering and Rey dropkicks him into the ropes. Mysterio tries for a 619 but can’t do a 619 in the cage, JBL laughing. Mysterio kicks JBL at the back of the head as JBL is back on the ropes. Mysterio bounces off the ropes and ends up climbing on JBL’s back to get up the cage. JBL is able to stop Rey and drops him with a powerbomb. He goes for a pin and Rey gets his shoulder up at 2. JBL goes for the last call again but this time into the cage but Rey counters into a DDT. What a counter. Rey goes for the pin and JBL kicks out at 2. Rey starts climbing the cage and JBL follows him up to the top and manages to get Rey back in the ring. JBL gets a sleeper hold on Rey, the crowd gets behind Rey, Rey elbows out the hold and bounces off the ropes but JBL catches Rey with the clothesline from hell. This has got to be it. JBL goes for the cover 1…2… and Rey kicks out at 2 ½. JBL can’t believe it. JBL waits for Rey to get up, he goes for the clothesline from hell again but Rey counters into a drop toe hold sending JBL into the turnbuckle post. JBL is busted wide open. Rey tries to escape from the door but JBL is able to stop Rey and rams Rey into the cage. JBL then starts climbing to the top as he attempts to climb out the cage but Mysterio stops JBL by grabbing his ankle and crotches JBL on the top rope but Mysterio also falls down to the mat. Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

I loved how you opened up Smackdown with Kidman & London defending their WWE Tag Team Championship against Noble and Nunzio and retaining their championships but what happens if one or both of them get drafted over to RAW? Then that means they could get stripped of their titles but I thought that champions if they get drafted, that they are allowed to take their titles with them over to their new show but no they get stripped of their titles

Backstage Angle, Cena, RVD and Rey all talking about the draft, it's possible that all 4 of them could get drafted, hey stranger things have happened or 3 of them, 2 of them, or even 1 could get drafted over to RAW but if Cena gets drafted over to RAW, Heyman will strip him of the WWE US Title but I thought Cena if he gets drafted, that he is able to take his WWE US Title with him over to Smackdown but no, but still they are talking about their match with Evolution during the draft, this is great

Tajiri in a shocking upset beats Booker T, I hope that this is the start of big things happening for Tajiri, perhaps even Tajiri it is possible he could get drafted over to RAW and if he does, I could see him becoming IC Champion for sure

JBL backstage promo leading up to his Steel Cage Match against Rey Mysterio, I could definitely see JBL or even Rey Mysterio getting drafted over to RAW

Bikini contest oh yes all day everyday, and Stacy wins, that's not a shocker

Chavo/Eddie/Heyman backstage segment was great too, if Chavo gets drafted, he gets stripped of his title but yet Eddie if he gets drafted, he gets stripped of his title, I thought that they were allowed to take their titles with them over to their new shows

Rey Mysterio beating JBL in the Steel Cage and then afterwards Undertaker showing up and attacking JBL leaving him laying was great

Dawn Marie/Val/Matt Hardy backstage segment was great

Cena and RVD beating Matt Hardy and Val Venis was great

Heyman's match against Rhyno was funny as hell with Rhyno goring the hell out of him was funny as hell, but Rhyno if he doesn't get drafted, he is going to suffer but if he does get drafted, then he will be fine

Bischoff calling yet again on Smackdown was funny too

But what I was looking most forward to was the main event and boy did it deliver with Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle fighting for the WWE Title and then it going to a no-contest because of Edge returning here and laying out both Angle and Eddie was great

Now I am looking forward to Vengeance, Smackdown was good, could have been better but still it was great, a 8.5/10 for me

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Terry: Remember this is Paul Heyman throwing his weight around here. Vince McMahon could have a say in this. Whether the champs get stripped of the titles or champions end up taking the belts with them, or maybe champions don’t end up getting drafted you just have to wait and see. This is why draft time is always fun. Vengeance will be up on the weekend.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Vengeance Predictions

Chris Benoit defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho, I'm calling it, Benoit's title reign will end with Jericho becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, I think Benoit's luck is finally about to run out

Randy Orton vs The Rock, SummerSlam title shot on the line, Randy Orton wins

Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair will win again I think because he already has HBK's number beating him before, I see him somehow doing it again

HHH vs William Regal No DQ, HHH I think will win taking Evolution's record to 3-0 with Orton winning a match, Flair winning, and then HHH winning

Batista vs Eugene, calling it Batista wins taking Evolution's night to 4-0

Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho (c) the World Tag Team Champions defending their titles against La Resistance, La Resistance will win

Charlie Haas vs Rene Dupree, Haas will win

And as for the 5-Pack Challenge for the WWE Women's Championship, my pick to win is Lita

He now has it fully locked in will Benoit tap, Benoit tries reaching for the ropes and he does. Jericho then hits Benoit with a running insiguri and gets a 2 count. Is Jericho out wrestling Chris Benoit here? Jericho then places Benoit on the top rope for a superplex but Benoit counters by sending Jericho face first to the mat. Benoit then connects with the diving headbutt. He goes for the pin and gets a 2 count.

Benoit goes for a german suplex again but Jericho tries elbowing out but Benoit holds on and hits another suplex. Benoit hammers Jericho in the head and goes for it again but Jericho rolls through and counters into the walls of Jericho. Amazing counter but Benoit is able to get to the ropes. Jericho goes to the top but Benoit cuts him off and goes to the top and delivers a superplex and both men are down. The referee starts counting and both men are back up at 8. Benoit gets up first and goes over to Jericho and Jericho out of nowwhere hits the codebreaker on Benoit. That’s it we’ve gotta have a new champion. Jericho goes to pin Benoit 1..2..2 1/2 Benoit kicks out of the Codebreaker and Jericho can't believe it. Jericho is trying to argue with the referee that it was three but the ref tells him that it was two. Jericho is then waiting for Benoit to get back to his feet because he is going to hit another Codebreaker, but then when Jericho is running over to Benoit, Benoit sees him coming and Benoit then locks Jericho into the Crippler Crossface, will Jericho tap out? Benoit is yelling for Jericho to tap out. Jericho is fighting, he's struggling but eventually Jericho fights his way towards the ropes and Benoit has no choice but to break the hold.

Benoit then whips Jericho into the corner but runs into a boot. Running bulldog by Jericho. Jericho then hits the lionsault on Benoit and goes for the pin and Benoit kicks out at 2 ½. Jericho goes for the walls of Jericho on Benoit but can not turn him so he catapults Benoit right into the referee. Benoit and the referee are down as Jericho looks on. Jericho goes outside the ring and grabs the world title belt. JR says don’t tell me that Jericho is going to win it this way. Lawler says Jericho is going to do whatever it takes to win this even if it means turning on his friend. Jericho measuring Benoit up and the fans begin to boo Jericho. Jericho looks around to see what the fans think, he’s having second thoughts and throws the belt outside, he changed his mind. The fans now applaud Jericho for this. The ref is back to his feet. Jericho then tries sending Benoit into the turnbuckle but Benoit reverses and sends Jericho into the turnbuckle with Jericho rebounding off the turnbuckle. Benoit then goes for a huge German suplex with a bridge, Jericho in mid air lands flips behind Benoit and then proceeds to roll Benoit up with tights as extra leverage to pin him 1...2..but Benoit reverses it into a victory roll pin to pin Jericho 1...2...3. The match is over, Benoit retains as he is still the World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Jericho in the corner is distraught over his loss. Chris Benoit’s music hits as the crowd give him a standing ovation and the ref goes to hand him the world title. Jericho walks past Benoit and looks at him. Benoit extends his hand out and a distraught Jericho refuses the handshake and walks off in frustration. We have just witnessed an amazing match between two great athletes. Benoit celebrates his win and what a match up we just had here between two amazing performers. Benoit holds up his title as Vengeance comes to a close.
Match Result: Chris Benoit defeated Chris Jericho to retain the world heavyweight title.
Match Time: 25:24

Vengeance Review

Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho successfully defending their World Tag Team Championships in what I thought was a great match-up despite the obvious tension between them the whole entire match-up and Benoit hitting Jericho but them still getting the job done, it makes me wonder if Benoit did that on purpose and it looked accidental but I agree with Jericho, I think it was on purpose but if they are still Tag Team Champions, then how can they compete against each other without completely tearing each other apart

Backstage with Jericho and Benoit just adds even more to the tension leading up to the main event

Batista just annihiliating Eugene in this match even though Eugene put up a great effort, but after the match Batista just destroying Eugene just shows the power and the rage in Batista, and I love it, hitting him with yet another Batista Bomb and then Eugene having to be helped to the back was great, but Batista could get drafted to Smackdown

Backstage with Eugene in the trainer's room as he is being made fun of by Coach and Bischoff, but in all seriousness Eugene could get drafted over to Smackdown, that is always a possibility and if Eugene does get drafted, then his Uncle Eric and Coach they can't make his life a living hell anymore but that his match-up with Matt Hardy during the Draft tomorrow night will still happen and then Regal coming in and asking for his match against HHH and wanting it right now was great, Regal is going to get destroyed

Regal vs HHH in NO DQ was great, a really just bloody and brutal contest even though Regal had HHH beat, HHH finds a way to win with his sledgehammer brutally attacking Regal like how he did sending him to the trainer's room along with Eugene just shows that Evolution is in for a great night tonight here at Vengeance, but what if Evolution's leader gets drafted tomorrow night, Evolution then as we know it would be busted up

Backstage with Regal in the trainer's room, it is possible Regal could get drafted too and if he does, then he doesn't have to put up with Bischoff or Coach anymore, so that would be a plus

Haas beating Dupree was an okay match, this match-up I really did not care much about but in terms of a filler match, I could understand why you would do it, but either one of these men could get drafted over to Smackdown

HBK beating Flair in what I thought was a classic match-up here of wrestling's past facing wrestling's present with 2 of perhaps the greatest in-ring performers of their generations and this being a back and forth match-up, just proves HBK doesn't need to be saddled with Flair, he deserves to be in the main event because that is what Michaels is, he's the Icon, the Headliner, the Show-Stopper, the Main Event but Flair losing, what if Flair gets drafted over to Smackdown or even HBK for that matter, that would be a massive pick-up for Smackdown

Vince letting Bischoff know that his match with Heyman is still on and that he will be the Special Guest Referee and if Bischoff doesn't show up, he will be fired, Eric then has no choice but to show up and I know he will

Randy Orton's promo on The Rock was awesome

Gail Kim winning the WWE Women's Championship in the 5-Pack Challenge was great

And Rock's promo classic Rock, I hope he beats Randy Orton tonight and goes on to SummerSlam to face whoever the World Heavyweight Champion is

Randy Orton killing the legend of The Rock beating The Rock was awesome, but nothing was more awesome than HBK's heel turn costing The Rock this match-up was awesome, and then Orton taking full advantage beating The Rock was awesome but this match-up was back and forth all the way through kicking out of each other's finishers was awesome

Backstage HBK telling Grisham that he will know along with everyone else tomorrow night as to why he did what he did to The Rock and then just looking stoic about it was awesome, I hope it sets up HBK/Rock Icon vs Icon at some PPV

The Trish/Candice segment was awesome

And then backstage Trish and Jericho wind up bumping into each other backstage and then Trish wishing him bad luck in his match against Benoit was played beautifully but then Jericho walking off was great, but Trish also wishing she doesn't wind up on the same show as Jericho, what if she gets her wish but Trish is the one who gets drafted to Smackdown while Jericho stays on RAW or Jericho gets drafted over to Smackdown with Trish staying on RAW was great

And Benoit retaining in the main event was awesome with him beating Jericho and then at the end of the match Jericho refusing to shake hands with his tag team partner just shows that Jericho is bound to turn on Benoit sooner or later

One of your best pay per views yet, and especially one of the most unforgettable PPVs on BTB, and it just kept me entertained all the way throughout

Vengeance Feedback

On a side note, I don't think by memory I've reviewed one of your shows in the past but I have been popping in here every so often and checking out how things are progessing. I think your idea of adding pictures to your shows is very unique and a great addition. Keep up the good work, now onto the show.

Going over La Ressistance booking wise was a hit and miss move, It's good you had the champion and the challenger - that being Benoit and Jericho, win cause they need to still look good going into the main event, however, I think you could have came about things a bit better on La Ressistance's behalf. Possibly making it look more like they were going to win, giving them more offense and momentum otherwise you bury completely the tag team division which wasn't all that good compared to SmackDown's at this time anyway. Overall a good match and got it's message across. Another thing, smart move having it start the show so they can kayfabe wise rest up for the main event.

The post match promo with the two and Coach could have been saved for a bit later. Usually when stuff like this happens there is a commercial break or some sort of video package in between the two segments that being the match and promo with the same person, giving them time to get to the back but seeing as here there wasn't any indication of that I think it seemed a bit weird and un realistic. Just something to take into consideration for later instances.

The Batista/Eugene match was much better and there isn't really much I would add or want to change about it, so good job with that one (Y)

Again the promo seemed a bit odd taking place exactly after the match did, I think you could have used this time to insert the Benoit/Jericho promo from earlier and save that promo with Eugene for possibly after the next match.

Triple H going over Regal was a good idea and the match itself was done well, I would have probably done more for Triple H as a heel and added Flair to the mix or maybe the outcome itself but that's me. Triple H and Evolution should end the program they have with Regal and Eugene asap, and move back into the World title picture by Summerslam.

Very pleased your giving Charlie the spotlight he deserves and a win, heres hoping your give him a mid card title run or something along the lines of that.

A draft tomorrow night on Raw? should be good, they're always fun.

Shawn superkicking Rock? me things them two to headline Summerslam as a special attraction match.

Another thing, I just don't won't you to give Orton the horribly forgettable title run he had back than, maybe prolong his stay in Evolution and do it differently.

Benoit and Jericho had the best match of the night and it was really written well, not much to complain about here.

Final comments; the booking itself as a whole was good, the right people won and there isn't anything I would complain about the results from a booking standpoint but your writting or the way the show is laid out needs some work. I think you might benefit from trying to write full shows, while still adding in some of the pictures here and there. It might help the promos with more indepth detail, cause the match work is your strong point right now.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Vengeance 2004 Review -

- First of all, this is my first review off any show in the forum.

- Opening the show with the World Tag Team Championship match was a nice move, sets the crowd up for majority of the matches on the night. You had Benoit and Jericho retain their belts which was nice and it sets up later for the main event between the two over the World Heavyweight Championship.

- Hahah, nice interview with Coach, he wants them to turn on each other, I do not blame him, surely after what happened in the match where both didn't seem on the same page.

- Next match between Batista and Eugene? The Funeral of Eugene... I liked it shows how much of a monster Batista is with all those Batista Bomb's. It seemed like a very good, short and fast paced match. The correct winner is Batista and yes this match shows off how much of an Animal he is.

- HHH vs. Regal was a nice follow up to the Batista and Eugene match, same kind of story with also the correct winner going over. I feel like this sets up for a Handicap match between Evolution and Regal and Eugene, or maybe a Six Man tag depending on if Eugene and Regal can find a partner.

- Nice to see Haas getting a push on RAW, completley differs from real life where WWE had him in that awful but yet entertaining tag team with Rico.

- HBK vs. Flair was my bet for match of the night and it delivered. Nice several counters and near falls in this match, back then both could still pull out a good match and it was good that HBK goes over as the winner. This was match of the night IMO.

- Women's Four Way was a nice addition. Gail Kim winning the belt was excellent, gives us something fresh in the Division and sets up new storylines as well.

- Randy Orton against The Rock. I see you have The Rock as a fulltime wrestler. The match was very back and forth and yet again you had the best winner win and that is Orton, it puts him over as the Legend Killer and builds his resume as a WWE superstar, wait a young Superstar. Cannot wait for the aftermath of this one.

- Trish calling out Candice and beating the hell out of her... something for the male fans lol

- The World Heavyweight Championship match was a nice way to end an already excellently executed pay per view. Nice back and forth action between Benoit and Jericho, the ending with Benoit reversing the roll up into his own roll up was nice, works out well.

- My overall thoughts, pretty good show, wait it was booked well, differed heaps from Reality and also it was a good pay per view for a Single branded one. Keep it up.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Let me just say that the Vengeance show was simply amazing, the under card was solid and very well written matches really made this an entertaining read. Loved that you had the tag title match first before Jericho and Benoit went at it in the main event. Rock vs Orton was my favorite match and it would have been so awesome back at the time had they been able to do that match one on one. Great show overall and just want to let you know you have made a new regular reader out of me, great show and hats off to an amazing write up!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Thanks a lot for the reviews guys, really appreciate it. After the draft show my write ups for shows won’t be long, it will be recaps of matches. For the draft I’m not going to make this like the draft in 2005 as all the picks were major names. This one will be a lot like the real draft in 2004 where you will see some midcarders, lower midcarders being drafted along with some main eventers. Just wait and see. :) Hope you all enjoy the show. I'll have the draft lottery show up hopefully by Sunday or Monday.

Also I won’t be using The Rock after SummerSlam. In real life, Rock made a few appearances after WrestleMania XX but then he left in August. I think the divas search contest segment was the last segment Rock appeared in back in 2004. I just wanted to use Rock from WrestleMania XX up till SummerSlam just so I could do Rock vs Orton and Rock vs HBK. As for Rock’s last match at SummerSlam, will he go over in his last match? Or will he lose his last match? You just have to find out when I get to booking SummerSlam. :)

From wwe.com

Draft Show Preview

History will be made on a special three-hour edition of Raw when superstars from Raw and Smackdown will be in attendance for the draft lottery which will shake the foundation of the WWE. This is where lives could be altered and superstars find new homes and the very foundation of the WWE will be rocked to its core. This is where rivalries can end, and new rivalries can begin. This is where partnerships can end and Mr McMahon has stated that no WWE superstar will be exempt from the lottery. At the conclusion of the draft, the two GMs would then be allowed to trade anyone on the roster that was not selected in the draft until Midnight.

The following matches will take place on Monday Night Raw Draft Show

World Heavyweight Champion vs WWE Champion: Chris Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero
Lumberjack Match-Special Guest Referee Vince McMahon: Eric Bischoff vs Paul Heyman
8 Man Tag Match: Evolution vs John Cena, RVD, Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker
Edge vs Kurt Angle
Eugene vs Matt Hardy
Tag Team Champion vs Tag Team Champion: Chris Jericho vs Paul London
Booker T vs Charlie Haas

It will be a busy night for Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff and Smackdown General Manager Paul Heyman as they will be conducting the draft lottery. Once the draft is complete they will face each other in a match in a lumberjack match. Raw and Smackdown stars will be there at ringside and Mr McMahon will be the special guest referee.

It will be champion vs champion when two good friends will step in the ring as Raw’s world heavyweight champion Chris Benoit takes on Smackdown’s WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero. Last night at Vengeance, Chris Benoit defeated his good friend Chris Jericho in a classic match but following the match Chris Jericho refused to shake Benoit’s hand. Has that match damaged their friendship? Will this be the same for Benoit and Guerrero when they face each other on Raw?

Recently on Smackdown this past Thursday night we saw the return of Edge who came into the ring and assaulted Kurt Angle costing him essentially a chance at being WWE Champion again. Now these 2 men are going to settle their differences one on one on Raw incase one of these men end up being drafted. This will be the only Smackdown vs Smackdown match on the show. Smackdown GM Paul Heyman has allowed this as these 2 men will face off this Monday on RAW with Kurt Angle pulling out of the 8-man Tag Team Match against Evolution, in Kurt Angle's place will be The Undertaker.

Eugene will take on the man who refused to take Eugene under his wing, Matt Hardy. Will Eugene surprise Matt Hardy or will Matt Hardy give Eugene a lethal dose of Mattitude?

Also in action we will see a match between one half of the Raw tag team champions Chris Jericho taking on one half of the Smackdown tag team champions Paul London.

Plus Shawn Michaels will explain his actions on why he superkicked The Rock at Vengeance. All this and more on a historic episode of Raw.

WWE News and Notes

Paul Heyman plans on pushing the Cruiserweight Division on Smackdown. Carly Colon (aka Carlito) and Nova have been impressing many people down in OVW. Expect them to be called up to Smackdown in Mid-September as they would make great additions to the cruiserweight division.

The Rock is expected to finish his run with the WWE at SummerSlam. Expect to see the announcement of a Rock/HBK match for SummerSlam on Raw.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Raw Draft Lottery Show
July 12, 2004
Raw opens with Raw superstars in their locker rooms and the Smackdown superstars in their locker rooms. They are wondering just like how we all are which one of them could be drafted. Tonight is the 2004 WWE Draft Lottery, where lives could be altered, superstars finding new homes, and the very foundation of the WWE will be rocked to its very core.

The cameras then turn to the back and Vince McMahon is standing by Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman. Vince McMahon then goes over the rules of the draft lottery. There will be a tumbler beside Eric Bischoff and a tumbler besides Heyman. There will be a total of 12 picks altogether, each brand will receive 6 picks. If someone is not here then they are still part of the draft, everyone is eligible. Bischoff asks what if someone isn’t here do they still count? Vince says you mean like Big Show, Kane, Christian, Shelton Benjamin. He makes himself clear, it doesn’t matter if they’re not here, EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE. He wants Bischoff and Heyman to clearly understand that once a pick is made tonight, it’s final. Heyman asks about the rule of a champion getting drafted because he plans on stripping them of the belt. Vince tells him that won’t happen. If a champion gets drafted then they will be taking the belt with them but if one member of the tag team champions gets drafted then yes Heyman can strip them of the belt. At the conclusion of the draft, the two GMs would then be allowed to trade anyone on the roster that was not included in the draft. Bischoff will be allowed to trade 3 Raw stars for 3 Smackdown stars, and the same rule applies for Paul Heyman. For example if Coach is the first draft pick, then he will not be eligible for the trade so Bischoff will not be able to trade him back.

Heyman and Bischoff agree to the rules and Vince tells them both to shake hands. They refuse to shake hands and Vince orders them to shake hands. They shake hands. Vince then flips a coin to decide who will pick first. Heyman wins the toss and he will receive the first pick. The draft lottery will begin after our first match. Vince then says he forgot to tell them that he promised Eugene that if he won his match tonight then he would allow him to pick a name from the tumbler. Bischoff was furious but Heyman laughed at the idea and said it’s not like Eugene’s going to win. Vince gets pissed off and scolds Heyman for laughing at his idea so Vince changes his mind and says If Eugene wins tonight then he will make a pick for Paul Heyman. Heyman was shocked and pleaded with Vince to change his mind. Vince then wishes them good luck and he will see them out there later on in the ring for their match. Bischoff and Heyman stare at each other as The Raw intro begins.

Match 1
8 Man Tag: Evolution vs John Cena, RVD, Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker

The Raw and Smackdown announcers welcome the fans to the show as tonight will be a special 3 hour draft lottery show. Evolution’s music hits as they make their way down to ringside. John Cena then comes out and cuts a rap promo on Evolution, taking shots at all members of Evolution. He waits outside the ring and then RVD comes down followed by Rey Mysterio. Then the lights go out and then The Undertaker makes his entrance. The bell rings and Randy Orton starts off with RVD. Orton became Intercontinental Champion back in December when he defeated RVD for the title and Orton is still champion. They lock up and Orton gets the upper hand at the start but RVD comes back by knocking Orton down with a spinning heel kick. RVD sends Orton into the turnbuckle and delivers a monkey flip and follows up with the rolling thunder. He goes for the pin and gets a 2 count. He tags in Cena and here we go Orton vs Cena. Cena sends Orton into the ropes and a diving shoulder block by Cena. Orton reverses a whip and catches Cena with an elbow to the face. Orton hits his inverted headlock backbreaker and gets a 2 count. He tags in Batista. Batista hits a couple of clotheslines. He whips Cena into the turnbuckle and runs into a boot. Cena goes to the top and hits a guillotine legdrop across the neck of Batista and gets a 2 count. He tags in Rey Mysterio. Mysterio bounces off the ropes and hits a dropkick on Batista. Mysterio then bounces off the ropes and goes for a crossbody but Batista catches him and slams him down. Batista then begins to hammer away at Rey with lefts and rights. He tags in HHH. HHH delivers a suplex and gets a 2 count. Evolution then begin to exchange tags and wear down Mysterio. Flair is now in and chops away at Rey. Flair tries going to the top rope but Mysterio gets to the top and knocks Flair down with the legscissors. Both men are down and Flair tags Orton. Mysterio makes the hot tag to The Undertaker Orton wants no part of The Undertaker and bails out of the ring. Taker follows, Orton gets back in and Taker is now back in and Orton stomps away at Taker. Orton sends Taker into the ropes and misses a clothesline and Taker bounces off the ropes and hits a flying clothesline on Orton. Orton goes to his corner and tags in Batista.

Batista starts flexing his muscles and goes for a right hand, Taker blocks and hits Batista with a right hand. They exchange rights and lefts until HHH gets a cheapshot on The Undertaker allowing Batista to take control. Spinebuster by Batista and he gets a 2 count. He tries ramming Taker’s head into the turnbuckle but it has no effect on Taker so Taker throws Batista into the corner and hits him with lefts and rights. He then hits old school on Batista. Taker tags Mysterio in. Mysterio takes Batista down with a hurracanrana and follows up with a running reverse tornado DDT. Orton gets a cheapshot on Mysterio and Batista tags in HHH. HHH works over Mysterio in the corner with all Evolution members taking shots at Mysterio. HHH delivers a high knee and gets a 2 count. He tags in Orton. Orton delivers a European uppercut. He goes to the top rope and hits a flying crossbody and Mysterio rolls through and gets a 2 count. Springboard Arabian press by Mysterio and Orton kicks out at 2 ½. Mysterio then hits the 619 and goes for the west coast pop and he hits it. 1..2.. and HHH breaks it up. Orton tags Flair in. Flair work on Mysterio’s leg and goes for a figure four. Cena comes in for the save to break the hold. Flair then sends Rey into the ropes and Rey delivers a springboard crossbody and gets a 2 count. Tag made to Cena. Cena then hits the five knuckle shuffle on Flair for a 2 count. Flair tags Orton in. Orton and Cena go at it exchanging lefts and rights, Cena whips him off the ropes and hits a diving shoulder tackle. Cena sets up for the F-U and Orton slips out and hits a neckbreaker for a 2 count. The match goes back and forth with Evolution taking control for most of the match until Mysterio makes a comeback against Batista. He sets up for the 619 but Orton clotheslines Rey. Cena runs in and starts brawling with Orton. Now all 8 men in the ring going at it and now the action spills to the floor. Batista sends Rey back in and Rey ducks a clothesline and sends Batista into the ropes. Here we go 619 from Rey. Rey then sets up for the west coast pop but Batista counters the springboard hurracanrana into the Batista Bomb. 1..2..3. He got him. Evolution win.
Result: Winners Evolution

Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman make their first picks
Lilian Garcia first introduces The Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff as he heads over to the podium. She then introduces The Smackdown General Manager Paul Heyman as he heads over to his podium. Bischoff introduces himself to the fans and gets booed. He vows to humiliate Paul Heyman tonight, not only will he raid his Smackdown stars just like he raided his ECW stars, he’s going to beat him in the ring tonight. Smackdown GM Paul Heyman introduces himself to the fans who boo him heavily and Heyman talks trash about the audience. Heyman says he may be in bad shape but he’s more of a man than Bischoff is. If Rhyno remains on Smackdown then he will deal with him on Smackdown. Bischoff cuts him off and tells him to stop boring the audience and get along with the first pick. Heyman then tells Bischoff that it’s now time for Smackdown to take away a star from Raw. Eric looks concerned. Heyman picks out a ball from the tumbler, opens it up and starts smiling and tells Bischoff that he’s breaking up a group on Raw. This causes some major concern in the locker room. We see a split screen of the Raw locker room and Heyman about to announce his first pick.

Smackdown’s 1st pick is Rene Dupree.
Wow what a pick for Smackdown, the youngest star in the WWE, Rene Dupree is now a Smackdown star. Evolution are relieved but Sylvan and Conway are stunned. Dupree says au revoir to his La Resistance team mates and comes out to the stage. He shakes Heyman’s hand and pulls on a Smackdown t-shirt. Rene takes the mic and the fans boo him and he tells them to shut up and some some respect. While he enjoyed his time here on Raw, this is now his time to shine on Smackdown the land of opportunity. Dupree vows to become a major star on Smackdown. He does the French tickler and leaves. Heyman gloats about his draft pick and tells Bischoff that payback will be a bitch because just like Bischoff once raided his top stars in ECW, he’s going to raid Bischoff’s top Raw stars.

It’s now time for Eric Bischoff to make his pick. Bischoff tells Heyman that his pick will top anything Smackdown gets. He has a big smile on his face and tells Heyman that Raw has started off with a bang and what a draft pick this is. He is the future of the WWE.
Raw’s 1st pick is Edge.
Heyman can’t believe it. He doesn’t like this at all and Edge taunts Kurt Angle in the locker room and Kurt is held back by some superstars. Edge says I’ll see you in the ring tonight. Edge is pleased not to be on the same brand as his rival Kurt Angle so tonight’s match between Edge and Kurt Angle will be a Raw vs Smackdown match. Edge comes out on the stage to huge heat as Heyman looks on disappointed. Edge shakes Bischoff’s hand and starts talking about his time on Smackdown and promises to become a huge star on Raw and he will achieve his goal here by becoming the world heavyweight champion. Edge leaves.

Backstage Evolution are celebrating their win and then they are getting worried especially knowing that one of them could be drafted over to Smackdown. Whatever happens in the draft, they will still be a unit and that even if one of them gets drafted, they will stick together. They enter the locker room and several stars boo them. Mr McMahon then enters the locker room and informs the Raw stars that he just spoke to the Smackdown stars. If anyone is unhappy with their current position on their brand, well if they don’t get drafted then they can request to be traded. Finally if he finds out about any trouble in the locker room then there will be serious fines and suspensions. So this means Regal/HHH and several other rivals can not cause any trouble tonight in the locker room. Vince then leaves.

It is now time for the GMs to make their next picks. Before they make their picks Heyman and Bischoff take pot shots at one another talking about just who is the better GM out of the 2 of them and how they have basically made their shows what it is today. Heyman then says he hopes that he takes away one of Bischoff’s superstars like Benoit, Orton, Jericho, HHH, The Rock, or even Shawn Michaels for that matter while Bischoff is saying how he hopes to draft either Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, JBL, Rey Mysterio, or hell he will even take Dawn Marie on for size. Heyman then says if he drafts Coach, he will personally make Coach his slave. Then they get to talking about their match with Heyman saying the reason why he's still wearing the neck brace is because he isn't fully healed especially after what Rhyno did to him but that he will still kick Bischoff's ass no problem. Bischoff responds back and says even with his foot the way it is now, he can still beat Heyman even on one foot. Heyman then makes his second draft pick. Heyman seems pleased here because he says he’s broken up another tag team. The Raw locker room is shown and you can see the tension on the face of the Raw superstars.
The second draft pick for Smackdown is Bubba Ray Dudley.
Bubba and D-Von look at each other, shocked. They hug and Bubba heads to the Smackdown locker room. Heyman laughs and says at this rate, Bischoff may not have a tag team division left but at least Bubba has Spike on Smackdown so that gives Smackdown another tag team.

Bischoff then makes his second pick, he takes out a ball and open it up and starts laughing. He is pleased with his pick. He tells Heyman that he may have lost an ex ECW guy but he just gained a better one. He wished he signed him back in WCW and after what he did on Smackdown this past Thursday, he’s become one of his favourite stars.
Raw’s receives Rhyno.
Rhyno is pleased to move to Raw and starts roaring in the locker room and makes his way out on the stage. Heyman looks stunned. He taunts Heyman and Heyman starts backing away. Rhyno takes his Smackdown shirt and throws it in Heyman’s face and wears the Raw t-shirt. Rhyno leaves and Heyman says in some way he’s glad to get rid of him but now he can’t teach him a lesson for putting his hands on him. He hopes he fails on Raw but Bischoff said that’s not going to happen because he’s appreciates good talent like Rhyno and he’s not going to waste him on Raw.

Match 2
Raw Tag Team Champion vs Smackdown Tag Team Champion
Chris Jericho vs Paul London
Chris Jericho’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Jericho is not in a good mood tonight. Last night he failed to capture the world title in a great match against his tag team partner Chris Benoit. Paul London then comes out without his tag team partner Kidman and manager Dawn Marie. It looks like London wants to do this by himself but he seems pretty confident. Lock up to start, Jericho sends London into the ropes and goes for a backdrop, London lands on his feet and takes Jericho down with a tilt-a-whirl sit out facebuster and gets a 2 count. London then bounces off the ropes and delivers a dropsault. Jericho then reverses an irish whip and knocks London down with an elbow to the face. After the match Bischoff says wow, now there’s a young talent he would love to have on Raw.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Paul Heyman makes his third pick and receives Maven.
Maven is glad to move to Smackdown as he heads over to the Smackdown locker room.
Bischoff makes his next pick and receives Kane.
Paul Heyman says that must be a mistake because Kane was sent for his last ride and hasn’t been seen since The Undertaker gave Kane his last ride. Bischoff then says to Heyman that Mr McMahon said to them that anyone is eligible to be drafted from either brand but that Heyman does have a point, Kane was sent for his last ride and Bischoff then says to Heyman that since he picked Kane, he gets to pick again. Heyman says Bischoff can not do that and that Bischoff drafting Kane is an official pick and that it is his pick, so he should stick with it, he has no choice. Heyman tells Bischoff that Kane is exactly like his brother The Undertaker, you never know when he will rise again. Heyman laughs and Bischoff tells him he can't wait to kick his ass later on because when he does, then maybe by the end of the night Heyman could end up working for him on RAW. Maybe Heyman can be his laundry man or that Heyman can wash Eric Bischoff's car and basically be his slave. Heyman then tells Bischoff not to get too comfortable because Bischoff could get drafted over to Smackdown and if Heyman should pick him, then he promises Bischoff that on Smackdown he will make Bischoff's life a living hell or that he could personally fire Bischoff.

Then Edge begins to work on Angle's legs and his back by stomping repeatedly on his back and legs trying to soften up Angle. He tries whipping Angle into the turnbuckle but Angle reverses and sends Edge into the turnbuckle.

Angle tries going to the ankle lock but Edge boots Angle in the face and rolls out of the ring. Kurt follows and they brawl outside and Kurt sends Edge back in at 8. Angle back in sends Edge into the ropes and gets a sleeper hold on Edge. Edge counters with a jaw breaker. Edge waits for Angle to get up and mocks Kurt by going for the Angle slam, he goes for it, Kurt slips out and hits a german suplex which gets a 2 count. He goes for another german suplex but Edge elbows Kurt to the face and hits the edgecution. He goes for the pin and Angle kicks out at 2 ½. Result: Double Count

It’s now Paul Heyman’s turn to make a selection. He has a grin on his face and says well it’s time to break up another tag team. The Raw locker room is shown and you can see the tension on the face of the Raw superstars especially Evolution and now Bischoff seems concerned. Heyman says well the way how it’s going between them it seems like this star won’t have a problem in breaking up with his partner. Bischoff yells at Heyman and demands to know who it is. Heyman then announces the next pick for Smackdown.
Smackdown receives Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho is shocked and Trish Stratus is absolutely loving this. She starts waving goodbye at Jericho as he looks at her and then looks at Benoit who is stunned. Bischoff demands that Benoit and Jericho come out to the ring right now because since Jericho has been drafted, he’s going to strip them of the belts. Jericho storms out of the locker room and comes out on the stage. Instead of wearing the Smackdown t-shirt he goes straight to the ring and tells Bischoff he has something important to say.

Jericho and Benoit surrender the tag team titles
Chris Benoit then makes his way down to the ring. Jericho begins to talk about how Vengeance was supposed to be his night, how he was going to walk out the new World Heavyweight Champion but that Benoit just got lucky last night by rolling him up to get the victory. He was going to make history but last night his dream was shattered and now he has to relinquish his tag team title. Benoit is saying that he wants the both of them to at least go off with a high note and that at Vengeance it was every man for himself out there and that had you been in my shoes, you would have done the exact same. Eric Bischoff cuts them off and makes his way down to the ring and demands that they surrender the tag team belts right now. Bischoff tells Benoit as Jericho’s been drafted, this does not mean Benoit can still be tag team champion, he’s not going to even allow him to have a replacement. Infact he will come to a decision on the belts very shortly. Benoit hands over the tag team title to Bischoff. Jericho refuses to hand the belt over and Benoit tells him to hand it over and be a man. Jericho then says to Benoit when he did he become such a poor excuse of a liar because you know as much as I do, I had you beat and I could beat you again but now that I can't, this is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and this will be my final memory of Raw. Jericho has his belt and he is about to hand it over to Bischoff but then out of nowhere hits Benoit levelling him right in the head with the World Tag Team Championship and then he leaves the ring to boos. Heyman is loving this while Bischoff doesn’t actually care about Benoit but he’s glad to have the tag belts in his hands. Jericho is now on the stage and pulls on a Smackdown t-shirt and leaves to huge heat.

When we return from the break, Bischoff makes an immediate decision on the tag team belts. Next week on Raw we will have an 8 team tag tournament and the 1st round takes place next week. Heyman says this is a ridiculous idea since he’s broken up most of the top teams from Raw. Bischoff says when you break teams, you can always create more teams and says even though he may have lost some teams, his tag division is far more superior than Heyman’s tag division. As for the teams in this tournament they will be announced on wwe.com this week. Heyman tells Bischoff we haven’t got all day so please make the next pick.
Bischoff then makes his next pick and receives Jamie Noble.
Noble celebrates as he heads over to the Raw locker room. Bischoff likes this pick and he’s pleased to steal a cruiserweight from Heyman but tips Noble for bigger success on Raw.

Eugene comes down with William Regal. He meets Bischoff on the stage and hugs him. Regal is still banged up from last night and that’s why he’s not competing tonight but he’s there to cheer Eugene on. Bischoff tells Eugene that he better not let him down. Eugene heads to the ring. Matt Hardy comes down. Lots of trash talking from Hardy at the start and the bell rings. They lock up and Hardy gets a wrist lock on Eugene, Eugene counters. Hardy elbows Eugene to the face and knocks him down with a clothesline. Hardy does his v1 taunt. They lock up again and Hardy whips Eugene off the ropes and goes for a hiptoss, Eugene lands on his feet, pokes Hardy in the eye and delivers a dropkick. Hardy gets back up and Eugene gets a hiptoss on Hardy. Hardy comes charging into Eugene and a nice drop toehold by Eugene. Eugene starts clapping. He goes up to the top for a legdrop but nobody home as Eugene moves out the way. Eugene hits Hardy with lefts and rights and whips him off the ropes but Hardy drops him with a richochet and gets a 2 count. Hardy lifts Eugene up for his aeroplane spinning neckbreaker, Eugene slips out and lifts Hardy up and does an aeroplane spin of his own and drops Hardy down on the mat and Eugene falls down. Both men down.

Eugene gets up first and Hardy is now up and Eugene runs into a side effect from Hardy and gets a 2 count. Hardy tries ramming Eugene’s head into the turnbuckle but it has no effect on Eugene. Eugene points at Hardy and imitates Hulk Hogan. He hits Hardy with some right hands and whips him off the ropes and lands a big boot to the face of Hardy. Eugene then drops a legdrop and pins Hardy for a 2 count as Hardy gets his foot on the ropes. Eugene then dumps Hardy out of the ring with a clothesline. Dawn Marie makes her way down and Eugene gets distracted as he can’t take his eyes off Dawn. Regal tells him to focus as Hardy gets back in and hits Eugene with a clothesline. Eugene then reverses an irish whip and delivers a back body drop. Dawn gets on the apron and tries seducing Eugene. Hardy tries to attack Eugene from behind, Regal points at Eugene to watch out, Eugene sidesteps Hardy and Hardy nails Dawn knocking her off the apron. Hardy can’t believe it as he turns around and Eugene hits the stone cold stunner. He pins Hardy for the 3 count. Bischoff is loving this and Heyman can’t believe it. Eugene and Regal celebrate and then on the ramp. Eugene hugs Bischoff. In the ring Hardy is pissed and Dawn gets back in the ring and berates Hardy. Dawn slaps Hardy and Hardy grabs her by the hair and drops her with a twist of fate which gets a big pop and fans start a Hardy chant. Hardy leaves and Val Venis is going berserk in the locker room. On the ramp Heyman berates Hardy and Hardy taunts him by doing his v1 sign.
Winner Eugene

Eric Bischoff starts laughing at Heyman and tells Eugene to make the next pick for Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman really doesn’t want Eugene to do this and Eugene gets a ball from the tumbler. Bischoff laughs and hopes that it’s someone like Lilian Garcia. Heyman grabs it off Eugene and tries putting the ball back but Bischoff says that counts, he’s not allowed to put it back. Heyman did the same thing to him when he picked Kane so if this ends up being Eugene, Lilian Garcia or Jim Ross he doesn’t give a damn, this counts. Heyman decides to go ahead with the pick. Bischoff starts laughing and Heyman starts laughing so Bischoff stops laughing. Heyman goes over to Eugene and starts hugging him. Bischoff is confused so Heyman says he’s going to let Eugene read out the name.
Smackdown’s 5th pick is HHH.
HHH spits out water from his bottle and he is stunned. Heyman is going nuts because he can't believe it as he is so happy that HHH is on his show. He's literally jumping for joy laughing in a maniacal way as Bischoff can't believe it as he's going nuts saying there's no way and that this can't happen while in the back, the RAW locker room they are cheering singing Na Na Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye to HHH while HHH gets even more angrier and has his water bottle as he throws it trying to hit one of the RAW superstars but it ends up hitting a referee. HHH ends up having to be restrained by Flair, Orton, and Batista as they leave with HHH. Bischoff berates Eugene and orders him to leave. Eugene pulls a sad face and Bischoff gets booed. Heyman says thanks Eugene, that’s the only greatest thing he’s done in his career. Bischoff calls for a time out and goes to the back.

Chris Benoit is backstage still angry about what Jericho just did to him but then Eddie Guerrero the WWE Champion comes into the scene as he then tells Benoit that he just saw what happened and that unlike Jericho, he actually wants to face Benoit. He will actually do it like a man and not blind-side Benoit like how Jericho just did. He is so proud of Benoit, both of them are still champions. As for later on tonight when they do face off, that no matter what happens between them, they will still be friends and that they will shake hands in the ring regardless of the outcome

Backstage Bischoff and Heyman are backstage with Vince. Bischoff pleads with Vince to over rule the pick. Vince refuses and says If Bischoff is thinking of trading HHH back to Raw, it’s not going to happen because that’s not part of the rules. Now he wants both the GMs to get back and continue the draft and he will see them out there in the ring later on.

Backstage HHH gets calmed down by Evolution team mates and they wish him the best of luck on Smackdown. They have a group hug.

On stage the GMs are back. Bischoff is pissed off and says he’s not going to let Heyman have the upper hand over him and says whoever the next pick is, will receive an Intercontinental Title shot next week on Raw. He pulls out the name from the tumbler.
Raw receives Tajiri.
The Japaneese Buzzsaw is shocked. He hugs his former team mates Kyo Dai. Bischoff loves this pick because Tajiri sprayed green mist in Heyman’s eyes. Tajiri comes out on the stage looking dejected and unhappily takes a Raw t-shirt from Bischoff. Bischoff says at this rate Heyman may not even have a cruiserweight division. Bischoff is very pleased to have Tajiri on Raw while Heyman is also pleased to get rid of Tajiri. Bischoff promises to utilise Tajiri on Raw. Bischoff bows at Tajiri and Eugene bows back. Bischoff guarantees success for Tajiri on Raw.

Now it’s time for Eric Bischoff to make his final pick. Bischoff picks out the name and says this is very interesting. He tells Heyman well since you took away a huge superstar from Raw, it’s time for Raw to take away a huge superstar from Smackdown.
Raw’s final pick is Kurt Angle.
In the locker room Kurt Angle yells woooo and in the Raw locker room Charlie Haas is pleased with this pick. This is going to be reunion with his former mentor. Edge can not believe it. Edge thought he escaped from Kurt but now he has to deal with Kurt on RAW. Heyman is pissed off and leaves since he has to get ready for his match. Kurt Angle comes out on the stage and gets a mic and sends a message to Edge that Edge tried to run but he can’t hide and now that he’s on Raw, he’s coming after Edge. It’s not over between them, it’s just getting started. Kurt tells Bischoff since he still has unfinished business with Edge, he wants a match with him at SummerSlam. Bischoff tells Kurt you want it, you got it. Kurt’s music hits as he leaves. Bischoff then makes his way to the back.

Backstage Paul Heyman takes off his neck brace and Bubba Ray confronts him. He complains about being drafted to another brand from D-Von and demands that D-Von gets traded to Smackdown. Heyman says that’s also a good suggestion and he will think about it.

Match 6
Chavo Guerrero vs Tajiri
Chavo Guerrero comes out and said since he wasn’t drafted, the cruiserweight belt is still on Smackdown so Raw gets no cruiserweight division. Tajiri’s music hits and Raw’s newest draft pick comes out and accepts Chavo’s challenge. Tajiri then climbs on the turnbuckle celebrating his win.
Winner: Tajiri
Backstage Teddy Long confronts Eric Bischoff and demands to be traded to Smackdown. Bischoff says he can make Long’s life a living hell on Raw but he simply doesn’t want a whiner and complainer like Long on Raw so he’s going to think about it. Long says you better make the right decision playa.

Up next Shawn Michaels will explain his actions from last night.

Shawn Michaels and The Rock confrontation

HBK’s music hits as Shawn Michaels comes down to a mixed reaction. HBK gets a mic and explains his actions from last night. There is a reason why he cost The Rock the World Heavyweight Championship and that is because he has never liked The Rock. HBK feels that The Rock has not paid his dues as much as HBK has and that The Rock has always tried stealing HBK's spotlight for as long as he could remember. HBK says that he always rises to any occasion while The Rock is nothing more than a cheap imitation of HBK. Michaels says he thrives on being in the spotlight, he thrives on being number one. He goes out there every single night and work’s his ass off while The Rock who comes back, leaves, comes back tries to steal his thunder. HBK is all about stealing the thunder. HBK states that no one and he means no one in this business can touch him. The Rock’s music hits as he comes out to a huge pop. Rock then says finally The Rock has come back to Manchester. The Rock then gets down to the point by talking about how HBK and him have never seen eye to eye and last night Michaels cost him the opportunity of going to SummerSlam to compete for the world title. Rock then talks about the past. He talked about the politics HBK played when Rock was starting up as a rookie. How HBK tried to hold him down because HBK knows that deep down in his heart that he's jealous of The Rock's success. Even the millions….and the millions of Rock’s fans know that HBK is jealous of Rock’s success. The fact that he has done so much in this business in the short time that he's been here in the WWE than HBK has certainly ever done in his career. The Rock says he’s become a greater icon than that of HBK and it eats away at you Shawn, the fact that he is the true People's Champion while HBK is nothing more than a glorified liar who would stab anyone in the back as long as it suited him as HBK only cares about HBK and no one else while The Rock cares about the people. Huge pop from the fans.

Michaels fires back and calls Rock a hypocrite. He brings up the fact that Rock arrived late here and he only cares about himself. Shawn says he has more passion for this business than The Rock. Rock never shows commitment, while HBK goes in there every night and puts on as show like no other. Rock then fires back and says wrestling is in his blood. What HBK has done, The Rock’s done better, he’s taken this company to heights that it’s never seen before. At Vengeance the real reason why HBK cost him the match is because he was about to become World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam and if The Rock had won the title, then HBK knows that he could never beat The Rock and that with Benoit, Rock did something that HBK could never do and that's beat Chris Benoit. Rock says he had that punk ass Randy Orton beat but HBK knows that he can’t beat Orton but The Rock can. Now all Rock cares about is whooping HBK's candy ass and taking HBK down Knock Your Role Boulevard and checking that ass of his straight into the Smackdown Hotel. Michaels says he doesn't feel that he is better than The Rock, he knows he's better than The Rock because there is no bigger icon in this business than The Icon himself, the headliner, the show stopper and the main event. In this business no one can touch him, he’s beaten the very best. He’s laying down the challenge to Rock at SummerSlam and since it’s in Canada, the country where he put Canada’s hero Bret Hart out of his misery, he’s chosen SummerSlam as the event to send Rocky back to Hollywood.

Rock tells HBK he sees his vision, a dream match come true. Main event, with fans going crazy. It is an electrifying match, quite possibly the greatest match ever. Huge money, two of the greatest athletes of all time. The Rock has done it all but the one thing the Rock hasn’t done is whoop Shawn’s candy ass. Rock accepts Shawn’s challenge and you’re gonna get the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazing, eyebrow raising peoples champ The Rock whooping your ass all over Toronto. Michaels says all Rock is good for is running his mouth, he can just talk the talk but he can’t walk the walk. HBK is known for stealing the show and he will steal the show at SummerSlam. He’s put many guys who run their mouth in their place. At SummerSlam, I’m going to kick your teeth down your throat and send you packing to Hollywood. If ya smelllllll what The Heartbreak Kid is cooking. Michaels has a smirk on his face and drops his mic and leaves the ring and taunts Rock. Rock tells HBK to just bring it and at SummerSlam, The Rock is going to do what he does best and that’s to entertain and electrify the millions…and the millions of the Rock’s fans and at SummerSlam HBK, you’re gonna feel the electricity like you’ve never felt before when The Rock lays the Smackdown on your candy ass. IF YA SMELLLLLLLL What The Rock is Cooking. The Rock’s music hits as HBK stares down The Rock from the ramp and what a dream match it is going to be at SummerSlam.

Backstage Lita ran into Matt Hardy and they say hi to each other. Matt asks her how she’s doing, it’s great to see her again, he welcomes her to the Smackdown brand. She says she’s doing fine. Matt then talks about their past and how they used to be a great couple. He’s had his ups and downs with her and he apologises to her for his actions over the past few months. He’s made mistakes but now he regrets this and wants to make it up to her. Maybe it’s time that Matt Hardy and Lita get back together. Lita tells Matt thanks for the kind words but she remembers how Matt treated her last year. Matt wants her to give him another chance. He wants to make things right between them and with Lita by his side she can guide him to the top. Lita says she needs time to think about it because the last time she trusted Matt he broke her trust. Matt asks her can they at least be friends again? He asks for a hug but Lita just looks at him and walks past him. Matt seems disappointed and then says he will always be there for her as she walks off.

Backstage a split screen is shown with Paul Heyman and Bischoff walking through the halls with their lumberjacks. They tell their lumberjacks to protect them and their match is up next.

Heyman and Bischoff get out of the ring and Coach gets tossed over the top rope and lands on Bischoff and Heyman. Bischoff, Heyman and Coach get the hell out of there. Suddenly KANE’S music hits as Kane makes his return.

Kane beats up a few guys outside the ring and then gets in the ring and JBL tries attacking Kane but gets chokeslammed. Kane cleans house and demolished everyone leaving them in a pile. Chokeslam after chokeslam. He’s the only guy standing alone in the ring. Kane does his in-ring fire taunt and what a statement he’s made, he is back and the good thing for Kane is that he’s not on the same brand anymore as his brother The Undertaker.

Benoit then reverses a whip and sends Eddie into the turnbuckle knocking Eddie down. Benoit tries going for the sharpshooter but Eddie blocks and kicks Benoit into the corner. Benoit comes charging into Eddie who droptoeholds Benoit. Eddie proceeds to lock in the Lasso from El Paso hold as Benoit is fighting it as he's struggling but he is able to break the hold himself without having to get to the ropes and Benoit pulls Eddie Guerrero in as he counters out of the El Paso and reverses it into the Crippler Crossface. Benoit is going for it early as he has it locked in on Eddie who is trying to fight out of it as he is struggling and struggling but ends up rolling on his back countering out of it trying to pin Benoit as the ref makes the pin 1....2...2 1/2 Benoit just gets the shoulder up. Eddie and Benoit are now back on their feet as both men are fighting it out as the fans are loving this but they are split 50-50 as they are chanting Eddie, Eddie as the other half are chanting let's go Benoit as they are exchanging rights and lefts with each other. Eddie misses a right hand and Benoit drops him with a back suplex and gets a 2 count.Benoit then tries to hit a Snap Suplex on Eddie but Eddie knowing what was coming turns the Snap Suplex attempt into the Three Amigos.

Eddie then hits the hilo and gets a 2 count. Eddie then takes Benoit up for a superplex but Benoit knocks Eddie down sending Eddie crashing down to the mat and Benoit hits a diving headbutt on Eddie and gets a 2 count. Benoit whips Eddie into the turnbuckle and comes running at Eddie but Eddie moves out the way as Benoit goes face first into the turnbuckle. Benoit is down on the mat. Eddie sees this as his opportunity to go for the Frog Splash as Eddie then goes up to the top rope and he goes for it but Benoit just rolls out the way just in time as Eddie misses the Frog Splash and eating the canvas as Eddie is now down on the canvas. Benoit then hits a german suplex and follows up with 3 more and goes for a 5th one and gets it. Benoit then goes for the crossface, Eddie desperately trying to make the ropes and he does. Eddie tried to fight the pain and get to the ropes. Benoit goes for another german suplex but Eddie catches Benoit with an elbow to the face and drops him with a DDT. Eddie then tries going up to the top rope again but Benoit gets up and runs up to the top rope taking Eddie down with a superplex with both men down eating canvas as they essentially take themselves out. The ref starts counting as Benoit is the first to revive and then goes over to Eddie and locks in the Sharpshooter on Eddie as Eddie is trying to fight it and fight it and he is about to tap out. Eddie fights out of the Sharpshooter that Benoit has him locked into and Eddie is back on his feet as him and Benoit are fighting it out as Eddie from out of nowhere hits an enzuigiri on Benoit taking him down on to the canvas. Benoit is down on the canvas and Eddie sees this as his opportunity to go for the Frog Splash as he goes up to the top rope and Eddie connects with the Frog Splash as Eddie goes to make the cover 1...2...2 1/2 Benoit just kicked out and Eddie can't believe it.

Eddie brings Benoit back to his feet where Eddie it looks like he's pulled his hamstring is looking like he's injured tries to muster all of his strength to whip Benoit off the ropes but when Benoit is coming in, Benoit is going for a clothesline but Eddie with the same idea is also going for a clothesline as both men when they are coming into each other take each other down to the canvas with a double clothesline. The ref is counting down from 10 as both men look to be out of it as the count begins 1...2...3..4..5 Benoit gets back up and then he is about to get Eddie back on to his feet, Eddie drops back down to the canvas. Eddie looks to be out of it as the ref goes over to check on Eddie, Benoit doesn't know what to do but wait Eddie's eyes are open as he slowly puts his head up, has a smile on his face and puts his finger to his lips and tells the audience to keep quiet as he then he puts his head down back on the mat and pretends being motionless, he's using his lying cheating stealing tactics. Benoit then comes over to try to check on Eddie but it was all a ploy as Eddie suckered Benoit in and rolls him up for an inside cradle to pin him 1...2..3. The match is over, Eddie has done it.

Eddie laughs but Benoit is not amused here but Eddie gets up and tells Benoit not to be like Jericho, and tries telling him he did whatever it took for him to win and he did by outsmarting Benoit. Benoit still down on the mat looking at Eddie, Eddie offers a handshake, Benoit is hesistant at first but decides to shake hands with Eddie. But wait what the hell, it's the WWE Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton and Triple H of Evolution, what are they doing here? They come into the ring to attack Eddie and Benoit but wait it looks like Eddie and Benoit are fighting back as they are taking the fight to Triple H and Orton sending them over the top rope as Triple H and Orton are scurrying up the ramp but not before they stare down Eddie and Benoit. Eddie then extends his hand to Benoit as the 2 friends shake hands and hug in the middle of the ring showing true form of sportsmanship. They then raise their belts in the air and stare down HHH and Orton as Raw comes to a close.
Winner: Eddie Guerrero

RAW brand gets:
Mark Jindrak
The Basham Brothers
Scotty 2 Hotty

Smackdown brand gets:

Johnny the Bull Stamboli
The trades are not really major deals, I didn't want to shuffle the rosters around too much with major trade deals. I will post the new rosters soon.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Draft Review

I love how you basically started the show off with Vince and the 2 GMs talking about the draft and how everyone is eligible for the draft and that should a champion get drafted, they get to take their belts with them to their new show but if it is one half of either the World Tag Team Champions or one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, then the tag team gets stripped of their belts, I can't wait, I am so excited about this draft finally being underway and then the GMs coming out to make their first draft picks of the night, this is going to be a great night

And the 8 man tag with Evolution beating John Cena, Rey Mysterio, RVD, and Taker I thought was a great 8-man tag team match, Evolution wanting no part of Taker and I could see why, they are afraid of Taker especially after him getting his powers back and after what he did to Mordecai by burying him alive and sending Kane on his last ride, they got in their cheap shots on Taker but Taker basically dominating Evolution whenever he was in the ring but Rey Mysterio also holding his own with Evolution and John Cena getting his payback in too and RVD too and then Evolution somehow still pulling out the victory stealing this match-up was great but it's possible one member of Evolution could get drafted and if one member of Evolution does get drafted over to Smackdown, then what?

Smackdown's 1st pick being Rene Dupree, now that Rene Dupree is on Smackdown, La Resistance as we know it has been broken up but on the brightside of things, now that Dupree is on Smackdown, he can really become a breakout star on Smackdown perhaps a U.S. Title shot in his future

RAW's 1st pick being Edge, I admit I was shocked at this pick and Bischoff is so ecstatic while Heyman can't believe it, and Edge is so happy to be a part of the RAW roster because he is away from Kurt Angle, at least from the time being and they are going to have a match later on on in the show, I can't wait for that one but it's possible Angle could still get drafted over to RAW or even get traded over to RAW

Evolution backstage talking about the draft, they are getting worried that one of them could get drafted and that could very well be the case by the time the night is over, I would love to see Randy Orton, Batista, or Ric Flair get drafted, hell if HHH gets drafted, imagine that

And Bischoff and Heyman taking pot shots at one another before their match was awesome, to me it is all just comedy at this point

Bubba Ray Dudley being drafted as the 2nd pick for Smackdown, the Dudleys as we know it have been broken up, but I wonder if D-Von will still be drafted or even traded to Smackdown but at the same time Bubba Ray Dudley is reunited with his other brother Spike Dudley, so you have a potential tag team on Smackdown, that's good, Bubba Ray & Spike could go for the WWE Tag Team Titles but that is only if D-Von doesn't get drafted or traded

RAW's 2nd pick is Rhyno, and Rhyno so ecstatic he lets out a huge roar and starts screaming in joy while everyone is looking at him and then he throws the SD shirt right in Heyman's face and puts on a RAW shirt, now that he's on RAW, Rhyno can go for the Intercontinental Championship or he can go for the World Heavyweight Championship

Jericho beating Paul London of Smackdown in what I thought was a great, fast-paced match-up of 2 contrasting styles high-flyer vs technician was great and Paul London definitely held his own against Jericho

And Smackdown's 3rd pick is Maven, now that he's been drafted, I hope he goes for the WWE United States Championship

And RAW's 3rd pick is Kane, Kane back on RAW, now that he's back on RAW, I hope Kane goes after whoever the World Heavyweight Champion is, and Kane can be like RAW's equivalent of Undertaker

And Edge vs Kurt Angle another classic between these 2 men but it ends in a double countout, something tells me that this rivalry is far from over and I can easily see it now continuing with RAW getting Angle

And Smackdown's 4th pick is Chris Jericho, another shocking pick for Smackdown, Heyman must be loving this right now, and I know Smackdown would and could really benefit from having Jericho on their show and he can go for that WWE Championship and then that means him & Benoit get stripped of their World Tag Team Titles and then Bischoff comes out asking them to come down to the ring to surrender their titles and Benoit surrenders it and Jericho looks like he is going to surrender it but in just a cowardly act, Jericho turns his back on his former partner turning heel on Benoit by laying him out with the title and leaving was great

An 8-team tournament to determine the new World Tag Team Champions on RAW next week, I can't wait

RAW's 4th pick is Jamie Noble, a pick that I find very interesting but I see him as a jobber now that he will be on RAW

Eugene beating Matt Hardy in what I thought was a great match-up and Dawn was even there trying to distract Eugene but it backfires and Eugene still gets the win, awesome, and then Dawn comes into the ring after the match and berates Hardy and then slaps him and Matt attacks Dawn by giving her a Twist of Fate solidifying his face turn, this has been a long time coming and now that Matt is face again, he can become a really great upper mid-card face on Smackdown and hell he can even go after the WWE United States Championship again but this time as a face

Smackdown's 5th pick is HHH, I am so happy that HHH is now on Smackdown because now that he's on Smackdown he can go for the WWE Championship but at the same time Evolution is busted up and that makes me happy

Backstage segments with Benoit/Eddie, Bischoff/Heyman, and HHH with Evolution, I loved those

And RAW's 5th pick is Tajiri and now he gets an IC Title match on RAW next week against Orton, I can't wait until that match happens

Booker T vs Charlie Haas I thought that their match was rushed but nonetheless it was a great match-up

And then Smackdown's final draft pick of the night is Lita, that means her & Matt Hardy are re-united, that is awesome

And then RAW's final draft pick is Kurt Angle, Bischoff is so happy about this pick and Heyman can't believe it but Angle now that he's on RAW, Edge and Angle's rivalry can continue and it will, they will take on each other as it seems at SummerSlam

Backstage Bubba Ray is telling Heyman to trade D-Von over to Smackdown, pretty much demanding he does and Heyman then giving in saying how he will think about it, I can see the Dudleys for sure getting reunited now, all 3 of them on the same brand with Bubba Ray, Spike and D-Von

Tajiri beating Chavo in what I thought was a great match

And then Teddy Long demanding Bischoff trade him over to Smackdown, I wonder if T-Long ends up on Smackdown and if he does, I hope Heyman gets fired and T-Long the Playa ends up becoming GM of Smackdown

HBK/Rock segment setting up the Dream Match for SummerSlam and HBK being the heel here, I love Heel HBK better because he is much more entertaining but Rock also basically disrespecting HBK to the point where it became so entertaining, I laughed and then HBK telling him how at SummerSlam after he beats The Rock, he will send Rock back to Hollywood and Rock telling him to just bring it but I can't help but feel Rock was right about HBK and holding Rock down

And the Bischoff/Heyman match with Vince as the referee, I loved it and then the lumberjacks attacking both men and then Kane making his shocking return laying out superstar after superstar with Vince getting the hell out of dodge as well as Bischoff, Coach, and Heyman and then Kane making quite the statement here I felt

Trish Stratus backstage interview on her thoughts about the draft was very much in character for Trish at that time and now she can focus on being Women's Champion again but also because her & Jericho are no longer on the same brand and she's on the same brand as her boyfriend Christian, this is great

As for WWE.com, I wonder who will be traded and just who will come over here to RAW and who will also go to Smackdown via trade

And the main event of Benoit vs Guerrero champion vs champion with Eddie winning was great, and then the show of sportsmanship but Eddie using his regular lying cheating stealing tactics to win and then HHH & Orton come out to attack them, why? And then Benoit and Eddie take the fight to them with HHH & Orton getting the hell out of dodge but the stare-down to end the show was great

Overall fantastic Draft show and I can't wait to see the fallout of it on Smackdown

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Smackdown
July 15, 2004
Smackdown starts off with highlights from the draft lottery. Then the cameras cut backstage as Paul Heyman welcomes everyone to Smackdown. Heyman claims that his Smackdown brand made a bigger impact than Raw on Monday Night. He also states that Smackdown’s biggest draft pick HHH will be here tonight. Heyman then announces that tonight and next week we will have a 6 man gauntlet match. The participants for tonight’s gauntlet match are: Rob Van Dam, Booker T, John Cena, Rene Dupree, Chris Jericho and The Undertaker. The participants for next week’s gauntlet match will be: JBL, Rey Mysterio, Val Venis, Matt Hardy, Maven and HHH. The winner of tonight’s gauntlet match will meet the winner of next week’s gauntlet match in 2 weeks to determine who will face Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Title at SummerSlam. Paul Heyman says tonight is the new era of Smackdown.
Smackdown is Jericho
The Smackdown video package plays as the announcers welcome us to the show. Chris Jericho’s music hits as Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction. Jericho gets the mic and says welcome to Smackdown is JERICHO!!!! Mixed reaction here for Jericho. Jericho then discussed his time on Raw, he’s had his ups and down and he doesn’t give a damn about Chris Benoit. Jericho claims that he carried the team, he’s better than Benoit and Benoit got lucky. It has been such a long time since he has been champion, the last time was in 2002. 2 years he hasn't been champion, 2 years of being a nice guy, and where did it get him? Absolutely no where. He blames the fans for turning on him and they start an Jericho sucks chant. Jericho then tells the fans to SHUT THE HELL UP. They boo him heavily. Jericho states that he doesn’t care about his Jerichoholics anymore, all he cares about is being world champion. They boo him and he says their opinions aren’t worth a damn. The only thing that matters to him now is being champion and he won't rest until he is champion. This is now a fresh start for him and now he doesn’t have to deal with a slut like Trish, with a pathetic excuse of a human being Chris Benoit and worst of all these ass clown fans who he used to call Jerichoholics. Jericho claims that he’s the biggest star here. He’s a larger than life athlete, he’s the highlight of the night. This is the turning point of his career, he’s stopped worrying about all these jackasses because now all he cares about is himself.
RVD’s music hits and he comes down to the ring and welcomes Jericho to Smackdown. He just found out that he will be running the gauntlet tonight first against Jericho. RVD tells Jericho that Jericho is a lot like Booker T. Booker turned on RVD and Jericho turned on Benoit. Jericho and Benoit couldn’t accept the fact that their partners were better than them. RVD says you know what would be cool if he beats Booker and Jericho tonight in the gauntlet match and goes on to SummerSlam and becomes the champion. Jericho gets angry and claims he’s better than RVD, even on Raw he kicked his ass on several occasions and tonight he’s going to show the whole world why he is the best. After tonight RVD will never….everrrrrr be the same again junior. RVD fires back and says whatever dude, you need to lighten up. Tonight he’s going to show Jericho why he’s the whole damn show because now the fans have stopped chanting Y2J, Y2J, Y2J they’ll be chanting RVD, RVD, RVD. RVD does his taunt and leaves the ring and Jericho stares him down and RVD does his taunt again. They will be running the gauntlet first tonight in the gauntlet match.

Backstage in the women’s locker room Torrie and Stacey welcome Lita to Smackdown. Stacey and Torrie ask Lita does she still love Matt Hardy? Lita says yes she still does but she’s not sure if Matt still loves her especially after when he ditched her last year. He claims that he’s changed but she’s not convinced. They wish her the best of luck, Lita leaves the locker room and runs into Dawn Marie. Dawn welcomes Lita to Smackdown and then talks about how she’s been disrespected here by Torrie, Stacey and Matt Hardy. She tries to get Lita to join her and go against them. Lita says she’s here to make friends and not enemies. Dawn says Hardy embarrassed the Smackdown brand by losing to Eugene and then Hardy put his hands on her. She informs Lita that she’s booked Hardy in a handicap match against the tag team champions Kidman and London but she wants a favour from Lita. She reminds Lita how Hardy treated her on Raw and now that Hardy’s trying to get back with Lita, she wants Lita to play with Hardy’s emotions and humiliate him. Lita thinks this is just wrong and she can’t do that. Dawn assures her if she sides with her then she will have no problems on Smackdown but if she goes against her then she’s going to make Lita’s life miserable on Smackdown. Dawn walks off and Lita has a big decision to make.

Match 1
Cruiserweight Title
Chavo Guerrero © vs Funaki
The match begins with Chavo kicking Funaki right to the gut and then starts hammering away at him. He whips him off the ropes and Funaki counters with a headscissors and follows up with a dropkick and gets a 2 count. Chavo reverses a whip and knocks Funaki down with an elbow to the face. Chavo then hits a suplex and gets a 2 count. He works on Funaki’s arm and Funaki gets back to his feet and elbows out of the hold and knocks Chavo down with a clothesline. Chavo reverses a whip and sends Funaki into the corner who leapfrogs over Chavo and rolls him up for a 2 count. Chavo runs into a droptoe hold by Funaki. Funaki goes up top looking for a tornado ddt on Chavo but Chavo moves out the way. He picks Funaki up and drops him with the gory bomb and pins him for the 3 count to retain the cruiserweight title.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero
Backstage Paul Heyman and Dawn Marie welcome Teddy Long to Smackdown. Heyman tips Long to be a big success on Smackdown. Long vows to take someone to the top by making them into a star. Heyman then talks about his own job and he feels that Vince won’t fire him because he’s done more than enough to turn Smackdown around and now he’s going to take Smackdown to greater heights.

Backstage HHH arrived in a limo as he is entering the building.

Backstage Matt Hardy meets Lita and assures her that he’s changed and wants Lita to give him another chance. Lita tells Matt she needs to think about it, she needs time and she wishes him luck for his match and it’s coming up next.

Match 2
Handicap Match
Matt Hardy vs Billy Kidman and Paul London
The match begins with Kidman and London immediately doing a number on Hardy and the ref orders Kidman to go back to his corner. London hits a dropsault on Hardy and follows up with a standing moonsault and get a 2 count. He then goes for a spinning heel kick but Hardy ducks and comes back and hits London with a clothesline. He hits the side effect and Kidman breaks it up. London tags in Kidman and Kidman starts taking it to Hardy but Hardy comes back with a clothesline. Hardy then connects with a legdrop from the top rope. He does his v1 taunt and the fans are cheering him on. Richochet from Hardy and gets a 2 count. He whips Kidman into the turnbuckle but runs into an elbow and Kidman hits Hardy with a facebuster and tags in London. London and Kidman exchange tags and wear down Hardy until Hardy comes back again and bounces off the ropes but Kidman knees Hardy across the back and London nails Hardy with an insiguri. He goes up top and hits a 450 splash and pins Hardy for the 3 count.
Winners: Kidman and London

Following the match, Kidman and London assault Hardy and Dawn ends up slapping Hardy, humiliating him for what he did to Dawn on Raw. Lita runs down and tells Dawn that’s enough but Dawn continues to instruct London and Kidman to assault Hardy. Then Dawn ends up kicking Hardy. Lita shoves Dawn down to check on Hardy so Dawn gets up and we have a cat fight in the ring. London and Kidman pull Lita off Dawn and Dawn assaults Lita. Hardy gets up and starts fighting back for Lita and nails Kidman and London with the tag belts. Val Venis runs down and starts brawling with Hardy and Hardy knocks Val over the top rope with a clothesline. Val, Kidman, London and Dawn retreat up the ramp. Hardy taunts them with his v1 sign. Hardy helps Lita up and they stare at each other and finally Lita gives Matt a kiss and they embrace in the ring. Matt Hardy and Lita are back together.

Backstage Josh Matthews interviews Rene Dupree. Rene says unlike other guys that have been drafted away from their partners, he actually feels good about it. He wishes his team mates the best of luck on Raw but now on Smackdown it’s time for Rene to bring some class to this brand, it’s time for him to shine on Smackdown. He’s the youngest superstar in the WWE and on his first night on Smackdown he’s going to win the gauntlet match and will go on to beat whoever wins next week. Then at SummerSlam, Randy Orton who claims that he will become the youngest champion ever can forget about that because Rene Dupree will become the youngest champion ever. Dupree has a smirk on his face and he feels very confident tonight.

Backstage Spike Dudley welcomes his brothers to Smackdown. Paul Heyman confronts them and tells them that Bubba demanded that D-Von gets traded to Smackdown and now he’s here and we have a Dudleys reunion. They better prove they are worthy of being here on Smackdown because over the last couple of months on Raw, they became a laughing stock. He wants them to make an impact here and next week Bubba and D-Von will take on another team that is being reunited, THE FBI, Nunzio and Johnny the Bull Stamboli.

HHH makes his arrival on Smackdown

HHH’s music hits and Smackdown’s biggest draft pick The Game Triple H makes his way down to the ring. HHH says let me explain to you all who the hell I am, I am HHH, the game and I’m that damn good. He talks about his time on Raw, how he was the number 1 guy on Raw. A lot of stars are jealous of his success, they laughed at him when he was drafted. HHH says he’s the biggest star in this business, greatest professional wrestler alive today. HHH bashes the stars on Smackdown and claims that he’s better than them. He’s an 8 time world champion and no one on the Smackdown brand can ever accomplish what he’s done. If there was a rule for a draft pick to be traded back then that would have been the first thing Bischoff would have done, he would have traded him back to Raw not just for one guy, not two, not three but the entire Raw roster just to have him back. Huge heat for HHH. Now that he’s here on Smackdown he’s sending a message to all the Smackdown stars that they will take a backseat to the Game HHH. He’s going to finish off what he started on Raw and that’s to become champion. The world title was his life and now he’s setting his sights on the WWE Title and that’s why he made a statement on Raw by sending a message to the WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero. Rey Mysterio comes down and confronts HHH. Rey says he feels disrespected after what HHH just said about the Smackdown brand and superstars. Over here they’re like familia here. Over here they’ve made so many sacrifices, wrestling night after night, taken so many risks. He loves this show and he along with many other great superstars have made Smackdown what it is today and with HHH here, he could add to it but HHH thinks he’s bigger than the entire roster. Here you gotta earn your respect, here you have to fight to earn your place and this isn’t Raw where he will throw his weight around, this is Smackdown, where he has to earn his way to a title shot.

HHH laughs at Rey and says is this the best Smackdown have got, Raw had the best competition but the first guy Smackdown send out to confront me him is a 150 lb Mexican jumping bean. HHH offers Rey some advice and tells him to forget about competing in the gauntlet match next week and tells him to challenge for the cruiserweight title instead. Then maybe in 5 years time when he’s ready to step up to the heavyweight division then maybe he can challenge the game. Rey responds back and says he’s not the biggest guy around here but he’s proven time and time again that he can hang in there with the biggest and the baddest, if you don’t believe him, ask Kane, Big Show, JBL and many more. He’s not here to take a backseat to HHH, this isn’t Raw, this is Smackdown the land of opportunity. JBL then comes down and claims he’s the biggest star on Smackdown and guarantees victory next week. HHH laughs at JBL and tells him to win a heavyweight championship first before he can run his mouth, HHH tells them that he’s headlined WrestleManias, been heavyweight champion on several occasions. He should automatically be awarded a title shot because he is the game and he’s that damn good. Michael Cole says what an egomaniac. HHH gets cut off by Eddie Guerrero who says orrale vato HHH, welcome to Smackdown holmes. Eddie then mocks HHH for failing to capture the world title on Raw on several occasions. He reminds HHH that his friend Chris Benoit made him tap and made him say I Quit. HHH was furious. HHH says what he couldn’t get on Raw he will certainly get it on Smackdown and Orton will end Benoit’s reign and then at SummerSlam, HHH and Orton will be champions, dominating Raw and Smackdown. You have it and I’m gonna take it. You’re not even in my league and neither was Benoit. Eddie drops the mic down and gets in HHH’s face and all four men start brawling in the ring. Eddie and Rey clear the ring and stare down HHH and JBL. Could Eddie Guerrero be facing one of these men at SummerSlam? Or could he be facing any one of the 6 guys competing tonight in the gauntlet match which is coming up next.

A promo is aired for SummerSlam. SummerSlam will be a 4 hour event.

HHH barges into Paul Heyman’s office. Heyman tells HHH to calm down and welcomes him to Smackdown. Heyman knows what the deal with HHH was on Raw, Bischoff did his best to keep HHH happy. Since Heyman stole away the biggest star from Raw from Bischoff, he assures HHH that even without Evolution, he promises to make HHH a happy man on Smackdown. HHH tells Heyman that being champion means a lot to him, the title is his life and very soon the WWE Title will be around his waist. HHH leaves and Heyman lets out a big sigh of relief.

Match 3
Gaunlet Match
Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring first. RVD comes out next. The bell rings as they lock up, Jericho knees RVD to the gut and starts hitting him with some right hands. He then hits RVD with some knife edge chops and whips him into the corner, Leapfrog from RVD and nails Jericho with a spin kick. Jericho gets up and comes charging into RVD and Van Dam hits him with a roundhouse kick and gets a 2 count. He whips him off the ropes and hits a clothesline and goes for a rolling thunder but Jericho moves out the way. Suplex by Jericho and gets a 2 count. Jericho looks for the walls of Jericho but RVD kicks him into the turnbuckle. Monkey flip by Van Dam and this time he connects with the rolling thunder and gets a 2 count. RVD goes for a suplex, Jericho slips out and delivers a german suplex and gets a 2 count. He whips RVD into the turnbuckle and follows up with a running bulldog. He goes for a lionsault but Van Dam moves out the way just in time. RVD goes up top for the frog splash and he goes for it but Jericho moves out the way just in time. He goes for the pin and gets a 2 count. RVD reverses an irish whip and clotheslines Jericho over the top rope and then Van Dam bounces off the ropes going for a somersault plancha but Jericho moves out the way. It looks like RVD has hurt his knee. Jericho sends RVD back in and goes to work on RVD’s knee. He then sets up for the walls of Jericho but RVD counters with an inside cradle and gets a 2 count. Jericho gets up and a drop toe hold by RVD. RVD drops a spinning leg drop on Jericho and gets a 2 count. RVD then nails Jericho with a windmill kick busting Jericho wide open and gets a near fall. Jericho reverses an irish whip and sends RVD into the corner. Jericho then repeatedly punches RVD in the corner. The ref starts counting and tries restraining Jericho and Jericho pushed the referee and gets disqualified. Jericho then rams RVD’s knee on the post, dismantling the knee of RVD. He then locks in the walls of Jericho and RVD taps out while the ref is ringing the bell trying to tell Jericho to stop. Finally Jericho lets go and leaves to huge heat.
Winner: RVD by disqualification
The cameras cut backstage as Paul Heyman berates Matt Hardy and Lita and Heyman tells Hardy that he will be the first to enter the gauntlet next week.

Match 4

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

I loved how you opened the show up with Paul Heyman in the ring introducing everyone to a new era of Smackdown and how there will be a Gauntlet Match to determine the #1 Contender for SummerSlam, if anything what would have been better is if you had like a Gold Rush tournament to determine who would face Eddie Guerrero at SummerSlam but nevertheless I am happy about how Smackdown's stars and newest acquisitions will be in this Gauntlet

Smackdown is Jericho, what would have been better is if he were hosting the Highlight Reel here on Smackdown, and what better way for him to introduce himself if he had the Highlight Reel but nevertheless I was glad that Jericho cut a heel promo here about why he turned on Benoit on RAW, and why he is now all about himself accusing the fans of turning on him was played beautifully, and I hope Jericho wins this Gauntlet because if anything if he were to face Eddie at SummerSlam, it would make for a great main event and then RVD with the audacity to interrupt Jericho, he must be brave

Backstage with the divas with Stacey and Torrie welcoming Lita over to Smackdown and then Dawn Marie welcoming her and Dawn I just loved how she was trying to get Lita on to her side by trying to manipulate her but Lita saying what Dawn wants her to do is completely wrong but then Dawn using reverse psychology on her by trying to tell her about how Matt treated her when they were on RAW together, something tells me Lita and Matt will get back together on Smackdown

Chavo beating Funaki to retain his WWE Cruiserweight Title, I don't know if there is anyone who can beat Chavo for that title, probably hands down the best cruiserweight in the WWE right now

Teddy Long backstage, I hope he becomes the Smackdown GM and I hope he becomes the Smackdown GM soon

HHH is here, I can't wait until he shows up

Backstage Matt & Lita reunited and Matt is trying to apologize to Lita about how he's acted and how he's changed and Lita then saying she needs to think about it, something tells me Lita will take Matt back

The Handicap Match of London and Kidman beating Matt Hardy and then assaulting him after the match and then Lita to Matt's rescue comes in trying to even the odds but Dawn takes care of Lita for the moment until Matt Hardy fights back and lays out both the Tag Team Champions with their belts and then Lita laying out Dawn and then Val Venis trying to come in to attack Matt but Matt seeing it coming lays out Val, and then Lita and Matt getting back together, just like how I expected, and I am happy that they are back together

Rene Dupree backstage with his interview, if he wins the belt, he would become the youngest WWE Champion in history but then you have Orton on RAW, if he wins, he becomes the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history, with Rene, he seems pretty confident and I for one believe in him, I see great things in Rene's future

Dudleys reunited, I am so happy about this but next week they have to face another reunited team in the FBI, Dudleys have this in the bag, I know it

HHH arrives on Smackdown, Smackdown's newest pick, their biggest pick by far and now that he is here, he can truly make Smackdown his show and now that he is here, he can become champion once again, he may not have the World Heavyweight Championship but he can go for the WWE Championship and I love how he brings up his time on RAW and how to him Smackdown is practically the minor leagues to him, and bringing up their stars only to get interrupted by that Mexican chihuahua Rey Mysterio, like does Rey have any brains, does he not realize who he is dealing with? I especially loved it when JBL interrupted them and then HHH making fun of JBL and then Eddie the WWE Champion gracing us with his presence and then the whole segment ending in chaos was awesome, I loved every minute of it

HHH barges into Heyman's office, HHH is nothing more than an egomaniac but I love it, Heyman even looked scared of what HHH would do to him, Heel HHH is the best

RVD vs Chris Jericho ending in a DQ victory for RVD, so then wait, then that means Jericho he is out of the running then for the WWE Championship? What was Jericho thinking then?

Hardy entering the gauntlet first next week, I can't wait to see who he faces

RVD losing to Rene Dupree, Rene is one step closer to getting a WWE Title match at SummerSlam, I wonder who Rene will face next

Rene Dupree vs John Cena ending in Cena winning, Cena is already the US Champion, so imagine if he gets a WWE Title match at SummerSlam, it will be Champion vs Champion in the main event of SummerSlam

Cena losing to Booker T, Book is one step closer to becoming WWE Champion and getting a rematch with Eddie and I for one hope he does

And then the main event of Booker T vs The Undertaker, this is the match I was looking most forward to and it payed off with Undertaker winning in a back and forth match-up which could have went either way

All in all, great Smackdown and I am definitely looking forward to RAW

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Just read your entire thread and it's truly unique. See you kept true and released Lesnar and Goldberg when most of the time their kept around.
So far my favorite feuds so far have been Rock vs Orton and Undertaker vs Mordecai.
I LOVE how you've been building up the younger talent while still having the veteran presence in the future of the business such as Cena and Orton having huge victories respectively.
Methinks it's soon time for both to drop their belts and get fully into the Main Event scene.
Your latest Smackdown is really good and effective with the Undertaker winning. Does this mean another dream match besides Rock/Shawn will take place? If so, it would be interesting to see how it is booked.
Hope to see Raw soon!
