Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

You starting the show off with the WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero was great and then him calling out Booker T and them going back and forth about how at the Great American Bash how one of them will beat the other and either remain WWE Champion or become the new WWE Champion was great, and I love how you are writing Booker T as of late, he is one of the top heels on Smackdown right now and I love it. Booker T will face Taker and Eddie Guerrero defends the WWE Championship against JBL for later on tonight, I can't wait

Cena backstage interview talking about the Great American Bash but also talking about what Evolution did to him at KOTR, that should their paths ever cross again, he will get retribution but as for him having to defend the WWE United States Championship against Kane at the pay per view was great, and Cena doesn't look intimidated because in fact he wants to face Kane

Mordecai's graveyard promo challenging Taker to a Buried Alive match at the Great American Bash was great, really chilling and the fact that Paul Bearer was with his nephew during this, made it all the more better

Hurricane & Moore defending their titles against Nunzio and Noble, in a great match-up

And then Kane cutting his promo on John Cena and facing him at the Great American Bash for the WWE United States Championship was great

Eddie retaining his title in typical Latino Heat fashion and also because of Rey helping him out was great, now the rivalry between JBL and Rey is definitely personal now

Val Venis in the back with Dawn, and he wants yet another shot at the US Title, but only Matt Hardy will also get a shot and so will RVD as they will compete in a Triple-Threat Match where the winner will receive a WWE United States Championship match against either Kane or Cena right after the GAB, I can't wait

Kurt Angle return on Smackdown, I loved it and the fact that Edge tried to ruin it and the fact that they are going to go at it at the GAB in an Unsanctioned Match, I for one cannot wait to see that happen, should be a slobber-knocker

Paul Heyman backstage with Dawn already making matches for next week, and then Kyo Dai come in to the office and so does Chavo, and at the end of it Tajiri accidentally sprays the green mist into Paul Heyman's eyes blinding him, and because of it Kyo Dai all 3 members have to face Kane and Mordecai in a Handicap Match, and Chavo says how at GAB he will beat Tajiri to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion, if Chavo can do that, he will bring back some prestige to the title

Kane & Mordecai destroying Kyo Dai and then Cena making the save only to get destroyed was awesome

And then backstage Cena gets destroyed by Kane and their match-up now at GAB will be a No Holds Barred match-up, the tides are turning in Kane's favour

Val Venis winning against RVD was great, I can definitely see him pulling out the W at GAB for sure

Eric Bischoff calling on the phone and Dawn answering was pretty funny too

Undertaker beating Booker T by countout was great and then after the match Booker T tries to leave but Eddie brings him back in and Taker makes a statement courtesy of Booker T and he says he will accept Mordecai's challenge and then the mind games commence

I for one cannot wait until RAW!!!!!!!

The Rock returns to Miami
The announcers welcome us to the show as The Rock’s music hits. The Rock makes his way down to the ring as he receives a huge ovation from his hometown fans. The Rock’s family are in attendance. The fans start a Rocky chant. Finally The Rock has come back home. Rock said he’s glad to see his family out here, it feels good to be back at home. The Rock says when he came back he not only came back for his friend Mick Foley, he came back for the people. He came back to whoop Evolution’s ass. The Rock said last week he had that punk ass Randy Orton’s time beat but Orton pulled him out the ring and the time expired and this means that The Rock is not the #1 contender. This means that The Rock has no match for Vengeance. The Rock wants Randy Orton to come down here right now so he can whoop his ass. King Randy Orton’s music hits as he comes down in a suit instead of his cape and crown. Orton gets booed heavily by the fans in Miami. Orton tries to speak but the crowd booes him. Orton waits and starts yelling on the mic and runs down the fans in Miami and tells them that he deserves respect because he is the King. They should all bow down and kiss his feet. Orton said what he did last week was nothing personal, it was just business. He has nothing personal against The Rock, he just wanted to protect his time from being beaten. Simple Rock, I’m going to SummerSlam to face whomever the world champion will be and you Rock, you’re going nowhere. Orton said he’s surpassed The Rock, he’s become an even bigger legend than The Rock. Take a look at greatness Rock.

Orton brags that his accomplishments are endless. Just look at what he’s done so far in this business, currently The Intercontinental Champion and in 6 months, no one has come close to taking the belt off him. He’s the King of the Ring something you Rock could never win. Now it’s his destiny to go on to become the youngest world heavyweight champion at SummerSlam. Orton says Rock you became champion at the age of 26 and i will become champion at the age of 24. Orton states that since they are both 3rd generation stars, it’s time that The Rock finally admits infront of his home town fans that Randy Orton is the best 3rd generation superstar ever. The Rock then runs down Orton on the mic. Rock talks about his own achievements, multi-time heavyweight champion, Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, Royal Rumble winner, Headlined WrestleMania, leader of a group, Successful movie star, the list goes on and on but you don’t see The Rock coming out each and every week bragging about his own achievements. Rock says you’ve been running your mouth over the last couple of months thinking that you’re better than The Rock, well let The Rock tell you this you punk ass bitch, The Rock wants Vengeance. The Rock tells Orton to put his money where his mouth is as The Rock challenges Orton to a match at Vengeance. Huge pop from the crowd. Orton is about to talk and Rock cuts him off with his It doesn’t Matter Line. Rock says will you go one on one with the great one, yes or no. Orton accepts The Rock’s challenge and tells Rock what will be in store for him later on in the big tag match tonight.
The Rock said Orton at Vengeance you’re in for the biggest ass whooping of a life time. The Rock brings up the fact that his father and grandfather used to whoop Orton’s father and grandfather’s ass. Rock said he’s not going to disappoint these fans tonight because he’s going to whoop Orton’s monkey ass all over Miami. Orton responds back and says he wished that Rocky Johnson was here because he would have spat in his face just like he did to Harley Race and Mick Foley. Rock is about to explode. Orton said well since Rocky Johnson isn’t here tonight, he has an idea. Orton said he’s going to go outside the ring right now and spit in The Rock’s wife’s face. Rock goes ballistic and lays the Smackdown on Orton. Rock knocks Orton over silly over the top rope to the floor. Rock starts brawling with Orton outside the ring. Rock grabs the IC belt as Orton is about to get up. He goes for a swing and Orton ducks and hits the RKO on The Rock. Orton stands tall over The Rock and raises the IC belt in the air. Orton goes over to where Rock’s family are and starts taunting The Rock’s family. It looks like Orton is about to spit in The Rock’s wife’s face but Charlie Haas runs down and attacks Orton. Payback for what Orton did to Shelton last week, Orton manages to escape and retreats to the back. Charlie Haas helps The Rock back up and The Rock is pissed as Orton stares down The Rock and Haas from the ramp.

William Regal and Eugene show up. They are both noisy and they both seem happy but Eric isn’t. Eugene hugs his uncle but Eric tells Eugene he is not in the mood right now to hug Eugene because last week Eugene and Regal both disappointed him. Regal asks Eric well he did what Eric instructed him to do so he did the right thing. Bischoff says Regal didn’t teach Eugene tough love at all so tonight William Regal will be taught a lesson and he will face Evolution’s animal Batista. Regal did not like this at all. Eric told Eugene that last week Eugene got the biggest win of his career when he pinned HHH in a tag team match but that could also end up being his biggest mistake that he’s ever made. Eric thinks that was a fluke so he books HHH vs Eugene for tonight, he wants to see if Eugene can do this all by himself without Regal’s help. Regal said come on enough is enough now but Eric said no it’s not. He told Regal not to worry about Eugene and better worry about himself. Bischoff sarcastically wishes them luck and leaves.

Victoria then press slams Trish and follows up with a clothesline. Victoria then hits the widows peak and pins Trish for the 3 count to win the match.
Winner: Victoria

Backstage Evolution storm into Bischoff’s office and HHH said he’s going to tear Eugene apart tonight, he doesn’t want to be held responsible for what he does to Eric’s nephew. No one laughs at the game. Then he is going to deal with Regal for double crossing him last week. Orton starts complaining about Charlie Haas coming down earlier on and attacking him. Orton says he wants Haas in the ring next week and he’s going to put him on the shelf just like he put Shelton out. Eric books Haas vs Orton for next week. Eric told Batista to teach Regal a lesson so next time he doesn’t cross the boss. He wants Batista to beat the hell out of Regal.

Shawn Michaels challenges Ric Flair to a match at Vengeance
Shawn Michaels comes down and he’s not in a good mood tonight. HBK brings up the fact that over the last couple of weeks Evolution have tried to take out HBK but they can’t get the job done. Last week Flair got involved in his match. Flair tried to break his leg but didn’t get the job done but he cost HBK an opportunity of becoming the #1 contender. He wants Flair to come down to the ring right now. Flair comes down on the ramp and has a mic in his hand. Flair mocks Michaels and stirs up trouble over Michaels teaming up with The Rock for the first time tonight. Michaels challenged Flair to a match at Vengeance and vows to kick Flair’s teeth down his throat. Flair says last year he proved that he is better than HBK and he would have no problem in teaching HBK a wrestling lesson again at Vengeance. Flair accepts the challenge and says HBK is not in his league. He talks about his Evolution lifestyle and mentions that HBK is not even in HHH or Orton’s league. Flair says he's better than HBK, he goes over the list of his accomplishments. Michaels fires back and goes over his list of accomplishments, HBK says Flair you may have wrestled 1 hour matches and put on wrestling classics but HBK has also done what Ric Flair has done and done it even better. Flair says he became WWE Champion in a grueling 1 hour Rumble match, Michaels counters and says not only did he win the Rumble twice, he won his first title in a 1 hour iron man match.

Flair talks about being one of the most decorated stars in this business but Michaels says you won most of your titles down south while HBK became a grand slam winner and became the best in the big league. HBK talks about Flair's run in the WWE and says all he remembers Flair mainly for is being Evolution's bitch. Flair was pissed. Michaels says you see Ric I used to respect you but since you came back and started hanging out with Evolution you became a shell of your former self. Flair says Shawn was never as good as Hunter. He says all HBK did was hold down Hunter but Hunter went on to become bigger than HBK and now he's the greatest professional wrestler alive today. To be the man, you gotta beat the man whoooo and until you don't beat me Shawn, you're nothing. Flair says he would have no problem in finishing the job he started last week because who knows after he's done with Michaels tonight, they may not even have a match at Vengeance. Flair says he's the dirtiest player in the game and he's going to do whatever it takes to humiliate Shawn again. HBK takes shots at Evolution and tells Flair that since Flair praises HHH, the guy who used to be his best friend, he was a Shawn Michaels wannabe. If it wasn’t for me he wouldn’t make it this big in this business. If he didn’t make it big Ric, then there would be no Evolution. You see Ric, no one in this business can touch me because I am the icon, the headliner, the showstopper and the main event. As for The Rock, HBK doesn’t need his help because he can fight his own battles but tonight since they’re teaming up they’ve got a score to settle against Evolution. They need to be on the same page tonight. Tonight history will be made because for the first time ever The Rock and HBK team up. HBK says tonight Flair will be tasting some sweet chin music. HBK’s music this as Flair throws down his jacket and HBK taunts Flair that tonight he’s going to get some payback.

Match 2
William Regal vs Batista
Batista shows his strength by shoving Regal into the corner at the start. They lock up again and Batista shoves Regal down and starts flexing his muscles. They go into another lock up and this time Regal gets a wristlock on Batista. Batista gets a reverse elbow on Regal and hits a hard clothesline on Regal. Regal responds by hitting Batista with some right hands to knock Batista down and this angers Batista. Batista comes back by hitting a clothesline on Regal. Batista delivers a powerslam and goes for a cover and breaks up the pin at 2. He starts pounding away at Regal in the corner. He sends him to the other corner and misses a charge. Regal delivers a great double underhook suplex on Batista and Batista kicks out at 2. Batista reverses a whip and delivers a corner clothesline on Regal. Batista signals for the Batista Bomb but Regal gets an inside cradle and Batista kicks out at 2. Batista gets back up and Regal knocks him down with a European uppercut. Regal applies the Regal stretch on Batista near the ropes and Batista makes it to the ropes. Regal waits for Batista to get up and goes for a right hand but Batista blocks and kicks Regal in the mid section and delivers a spinebuster, he goes for the cover and again he lets go at 2. He wants to punish Regal. Batista starts beating the hell out of Regal in the corner and the ref starts counting to 5 and Batista has till 5 to break it up. Batista continues on and he gets disqualified for not listening to the referee. Batista shoves the ref out the way and then drops Regal with the Batista Bomb. Batista poses in the ring and leaves, he doesn’t care about the ref’s decision because his job was to punish Regal and he did. The referee checks on Regal.
Winner by Disqualification William Regal

Bischoff tells Coach he enjoyed what he saw. That’s what you get if you don’t listen to Eric Bischoff. Eric receives a call from Paul Heyman, Eric says just what i was waiting for. He mocks Paul Heyman and asked him how did it feel when Tajiri sprayed the mist in his eyes. Bischoff and Coach laughed. Bischoff said he wished Tajiri was on Raw because he would utilise him better than Heyman. He regrets not signing Tajiri in WCW. Paul Heyman told Bischoff he can laugh all he wants because Tajiri received his punishment at the hands of Kane and Mordecai and he will continue to punish Kyo Dai. Paul reminded Eric that none of Eric’s Raw stars touched him but Smackdown’s Undertaker tombstoned Eric Bischoff so now Paul Heyman starts laughing. Bischoff was furious and put the phone down on Heyman.

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel: Special Guest Chris Benoit
Chris Jericho comes down his Highlight Reel segment. Jericho says it’s been a long time since he had a title shot and now he has one at Vengeance. Vengeance has become a special ppv for Chris Jericho. He shows footage on his Jeritron as it shows Jericho becoming the first ever undisputed champion at Vengeance in 2001. Jericho says he won 2 titles that night to become the first ever undisputed champion. Now at Vengeance he’s really looking forward to stepping in the ring with Chris Benoit. Jericho says tonight not only will he win the tag team titles, but at Vengeance just like he did 3 years ago, he will be walking out of Vengeance with two titles. He introduces his guest Chris Benoit who comes down to the ring. They shake hands and Jericho brings up their history travelling all over the world together and competing in many organisations including WCW. They first met in 1995 in the Super J Cup. Jericho then brings up their history in the WWE. They’ve had a heated rivalry over the Intercontinental title, they were involved in many classic matches. Jericho shows clips of some of their classic matches on the Jeritron. They both traded victories over each other and the last time they faced each other in a one on one match was at The Royal Rumble 2001 in a ladder match. Benoit was champion and Jericho was the challenger and Jericho said he went in as challenger just like he is at Vengeance, and then at the Rumble he walked out as champion. Jericho states that unlike HHH and HBK, he’s scored many victories over Benoit just like Benoit has scored many victories over Jericho. Benoit says he has a lot of respect for Chris Jericho and he’s one of the most toughest opponents he’s ever faced. He knows that at Vengeance he’s in for the most toughest match of his life but since coming to Raw he made a promise to himself that failure is not an option.

Since winning the belt at WrestleMania he’s proved that he is for real and he’s going to make history by not only being the world champion but by also holding the tag team titles. Benoit reminds Jericho of how good of a team they are, they know each other so well. They’ve been partners so many times, they know each others way of thinking. They’ve held the tag team belts before, they know what it’s like to be there. They won the belt 3 years ago and then went on to face each other in a triple threat match for the WWE Title. That match they didn’t win but in that match he broke his neck. It took him a long time to recover and while Jericho went on to become the undisputed champion, Benoit says he was out of action. It took him 3 years to get back and fight his way to the top. Benoit said he’s made so many sacrifices to get to the top. He’s proved that he belongs here on Raw, he belongs here at the top. Jericho says that’s right, he admires Benoit’s passion for the business. Jericho states that they both trained in the Hart family dungeon. We both are submission specialists. Their careers have always mirrored each other. Their careers are parallel to one another but then the big question is Benoit, who truly is better. Benoit says we will indeed find out who is better but currently Jericho, you’re looking at the best in the business today. You’re looking at the man who has the belt that everyone wants. Jericho responds back and says you call yourself the greatest technical wrestler in the world today but at Vengeance, Benoit I’m going to prove that i am the best technical wrestler in the world, i’m going to prove you wrong just like i proved you wrong in our last match we had against each other. You see our last match, you walked in as a champion and i walked out as the champion. History will repeat itself again as i will be walking out with two titles. Just when Benoit is about to respond back, La Resistance’s music hits.
All three members come down. They run down Benoit and Jericho. Rene Dupree does his complaining about losing to Jericho in a KOTR qualifier and how he was not given the opportunity to be in the beat the clock tournament. Rob Conway says it’s been 3 years since Benoit and Jericho last teamed up, what makes them think they can beat La Resistance for the tag team titles. Jericho cuts him off and says on behalf of every Jerichoholic in this arena, i ask you three assclowns would you please shut the hell up. Jericho said he decided to save the best clip till last and shows La Resistance a clip. In the clip, La Resistance were defeated by Jericho, Benoit and Storm in Storm’s last match on Raw. Jericho makes fun of La Resistance. Benoit said he’s not going to wait till later on so why don’t we have our match right now. Eric Bischoff appears on the screen and wants the ring cleared right now because we will have our tag team title match right now. Rene Dupree joins the announcers to do commentary.

Winners and NEW Tag Team Champions Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho
In the back Eric Bischoff berates Charlie Haas. Haas says he wanted payback on Orton for injuring his partner Shelton. Eric tells Haas that he shouldn’t have stuck his nose in La Resistance’s business but now he has a solution. As he attacked Rene Dupree, he’s decided to give Rene a match with Charlie Haas at Vengeance. Bischoff then says that’s if Haas can make it to Vengeance because next week Randy Orton may put Haas on the sidelines just like he put Charlie’s tag team partner Shelton Benjamin on the sidelines. Trish walks into Bischoff's office and she's upset that she didn't win the women's title. She's also annoyed that Jericho just won the tag team titles. Bischoff says a lot of divas want a title shot so he's decided that at Vengeance, Victoria will defend her title in a 6 pack challenge against Trish, Jazz, Gail Kim, Molly and Lita.

Eugene put up a good fight against the game but HHH got his revenge on Eugene after the loss last week. HHH’s music hits but he’s not done yet. HHH continues to assault Eugene and William Regal runs down for the save but HHH sees him coming and starts stomping away at Regal. HHH then hits Regal with a pedigree. HHH is on the outside and goes under the ring to get his sledgehammer and he comes back into the ring but Eric Bischoff runs down the ring. He orders HHH to stop before things go any further because he wants Regal and Eugene both to be punished but not like this as Bischoff has a better idea. At Vengeance HHH will be going one on one against William Regal and at Vengeance Eugene will be going up against Evolution’s animal Batista. Bischoff says he is booking these matches because of tough love as Regal and Eugene are going to get a first-hand lesson in that because after it is all said and done, I will never ever be disrespected by Eugene, by William Regal and by anyone. Bischoff announced that next week Eugene will take on Ric Flair. HHH then raises his sledgehammer in the air in victory standing tall over Regal and Eugene.
Winner: HHH
Backstage Vince McMahon calls up Eric Bischoff. Vince rips into Bischoff and asks him he doesn’t like the way how Eric has been treating Eugene recently. He likes the way Eugene is, he’s become so popular. Vince states that he’s going to be nominated for the humanitarian award but the way how Bischoff has treated Eugene recently, he may not get nominated. Vince warns Bischoff to treat Eugene right. Vince has an idea which could increase his chances of winning that award. In the interest of fairness, next week Eugene for one night only will be running Raw and you know what Eric, you’re going to be his personal assistant. Eric was furious and pleads with Vince to change his mind, Eugene doesn’t know how to run Raw, he is going to make a mockery out of this show. Vince tells Eric that some of the matches Eric booked for next week will still stand. Next week he’s going to be here on Raw to make sure Eric will listen to his orders because next week he’s going to also make his major announcement. If Eric refuses to be Eugene’s assistant next week then Eric you’re going to be hearing those magic words... YOU’REEEEEEEEE FIRED!!! Vince hangs up and Eric is concerned.

Main Event
The Rock and Shawn Michaels vs King Randy Orton and Ric Flair

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Review

Opening RAW off with The Rock in his hometown, really nice touch and then after that Randy Orton interrupting and getting massive heat and them going back and forth on their accomplishments and then after that they attack each other but Orton hits the RKO on Rock on the outside and then Orton goes over to Rock's wife and he is about to spit in her face but Charlie Haas makes the save out of nowhere attacking Orton and then Orton retreating

Backstage with Evolution coming into Bischoff's office and then Bischoff making the following matches for Vengeance, Batista vs Eugene and HHH vs William Regal but that for tonight it will be Orton & Flair going up against HBK & Rock in the main event, and HHH will go one on one with Eugene and Batista going one on one with William Regal is great, I can't wait

Regal beats Batista via DQ, but Batista practically destroys Regal during and after the match to send a message to Eugene that this is going to be him at Vengeance, and also to soften up Regal for his Evolution teammate HHH is great

Bischoff-Heyman segment I love their segments but will their rivalry lead to them having a match against each other at a pay per view, like let's say SummerSlam because these 2 have been going back and forth with each other for months now

HBK's promo on Flair, awesome promo by HBK

Highlight Reel with Jericho and Benoit was awesome and the fact that they have so much history together and you bring up their history all the way from WCW to now in the WWE and that their careers have always mirrored each other in the sense but that at Vengeance it will all come to ahead because we will find out for sure who is better between the 2 of them

La Resistance interrupting and then it leading to a World Tag Team Championship match was great

Benoit and Jericho becoming the new World Tag Team Champions, in a really great match-up, nonetheless, now they are Tag Champs but at Vengeance they will be opponents, there has to be tension there

This segment I actually enjoyed a whole lot and I can't wait until Haas vs Dupree, and the fact that next week it will be Orton vs Haas, Orton I can definitely see him putting Haas on the shelf for sure, Orton is a Legend Killer and also has put people on the shelf namely Mick Foley, and he could have done so to The Rock had Haas not gotten involved

HHH beating Eugene was great and the fact he was about to use his sledgehammer on him only for Bischoff to come down and stop all of it

Vince McMahon not liking any of it at all because he is going to be up for a Humanitarian award and that in the interest of fairness he is allowing Eugene to run RAW and Bischoff to be his assistant and if Bischoff refuses, he will be FIREDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, it's great

HBK & Rock beating Orton and Flair was great

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Smackdown
June 24, 2004

The announcers welcome us to the show as they run down the matches for tonight. We will also see a contract signing between Edge and Kurt Angle. Booker T’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring. Booker T gets a mic and the fans boo him heavily. Booker T says you know when i look around here at each and everyone of you, all i see is a bunch of suckas. Booker says all these fans don’t appreciate him, they need to start showing respect for Booker T. Booker points out that last week Eddie got involved in his match. Booker claims that he’s better than Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker and all the rest of the stars on Smackdown. Booker demands that Eddie Guerrero comes down to the ring right now. Eddie Guerrero’s music hits as the WWE Champion comes out in a low rider. Eddie receives a great ovation from the fans. Eddie seems like in a great mood. A mic is handed to Eddie. Eddie addresses the crowd and Booker cuts him off and says look man i know you want to be like Booker T but Booker T is one of a kind, no one can be like him. You may lie, cheat and steal your way to victories but you’re not as smart as Booker T. Last week he was smart to get away from The Undertaker but Eddie came down and got involved in his business. Eddie starts laughing and Booker says Eddie’s luck will run out this Sunday because Smackdown will finally have a champion they can be proud of. Your ways of lying, cheating and stealing ain’t gonna work at The Great American Bash because I’m gonna put a stop to it this Sunday now can you dig that suckaaaaaaaaa. Eddie sarcastically starts clapping for Booker T and says last week Booker showed him a clip and since Booker has been bragging about what he’s done in this business, he’s now going to show Booker some clips. He wants Booker to enjoy this because this is a clip of Booker T’s favourite moments. Eddie shows clips of Booker T’s most embarrassing moments such as Mini Booker T, the grocery store segment when Booker got beat up by Stone Cold. Then he shows Booker T’s hotel segment with Goldust at Judgment Day 2002. Booker T was furious. Eddie continues to make fun of Booker and tells Book he loves the spinanaroonie so he wants to see Booker to do the spinaroonie, infact he will attempt the spinaroonie. Eddie mocks Booker by doing Booker’s hand taunt in Booker’s face and Eddie does the spinaroonie. The crowd loves this. Eddie says there i did it.

Eddie asks the fans was this better than Booker T’s spinaroonie and the fans give Eddie a great ovation. Booker T says tell me they didn’t just say that. Booker calls Eddie a disgrace. This is why Booker T does not get the respect he deserves. Booker brings up his past, his hard life and how he changed, he has class. You see Eddie has disgraced the title because a few months ago as champion, he was arrested and spent the night in jail. Now Booker says he’s been through that before but he changed but Eddie has never changed. You see a guy like you Eddie can only bring disgrace and shame to this company for years to come. When i was given the ball in WCW, i ran with it and didn’t disgrace WCW. Now it will be the same again when i take that title off you this Sunday. The more i see you as champion, it makes me sick but i promise these fans that they won’t have to put up with a sucka like you anymore. He brings up Eddie’s bad times in WCW and said Eddie was never a company man and never will be a true professional. Booker says after i beat you tonight, it will be a bad omen for you this Sunday night coz i’m gonna take your title now can you dig that suckaaaaaa. Eddie fires back and gets serious and tells Booker that was the past and Booker needs to stop living in the past and needs to live in reality. Eddie states that since Booker’s come here to Smackdown all he’s done is whine and complain about being held back. The last time Booker received a title shot at a ppv was on the biggest stage of them all and that was WrestleMania 19. Booker that match could have been the defining moment of your career but you blew it and look how far you’ve fallen. While you fell, i rised to the top. I went in as champion at WrestleMania 20 and i walked out as champion and look holmes I’m still the champion. You may have been a 5 time wcw champion but lets face it book WCW was a joke and i got out of it at the right time holmes. This is where the big boys play oralle Vato. This Sunday I’m not just going to shut you up, I’m going to kick your ass holmes. If you think the beating that Stone Cold Steve Austin gave to you in a grocery store a few years ago was something, then wait till what’s in store for you at The Great American Bash. Oralle Vato. Eddie Guerrero’s music hits and Booker T gets a right hand on Eddie but Eddie blocks. They end up brawling with Eddie getting the better of Booker. Eddie taunts Booker to get back in and Booker retreats back to the ramp and taunts Eddie that he will see him later on tonight.

A clip is shown of The Undertaker in a graveyeard. The Undertaker sends a message to Mordecai for what’s in store for him and Paul Bearer. The Undertaker is digging the grave. Snakes & worms crawling on the grave. It flashes by showing a corpse of Paul Bearer in a coffin being buried with dirt falling. Undertaker says he is not going to show any mercy on Paul Bearer. The Undertaker says not only will that be the fate of Paul Bearer but it will also be the fate of Mordecai. Mordecai you say that you are not intimidated but i will possess your soul this Sunday. As for his brother Kane, if you try to get involved just like you did at Survivor Series then I’m going to also bury you alive. Kane you talked about having a family but this Sunday you will be left alone again because Paul and Mordecai.. you will REST IN PEACE.

The Hurricane and Shannon Moore (c) vs Kidman and London
Kidman and London come down first with Dawn Marie. The tag team champions The Hurricane and Shannon Moore are out next. The bell rings as the match begins. A tag is made to London as Moore sends him to the ropes and delivers a back body drop. All four men are in the ring as the ref is having a hard time controlling this match. Hurricane backdrops Kidman over the top rope and Helms follows up with a suicide dive all the way to the floor and Kidman moves out the way. Moore and London battle it out in the ring while Dawn distracts the ref, Kidman jumps Moore from behind and delivers the BK bomb. London goes up to the top rope and hits a 450 splash. He goes for a cover as the ref counts to 3 and we have new tag team champions. Kidman and London win the tag team titles and celebrate in the ring with Dawn Marie.
Winners and new tag team champions Kidman and London
In the back Dawn, Kidman and London celebrate in Heyman’s office. Heyman congratulates them but informed them that they will be making their first title defence in a fatal 4 way match this Sunday in a Great American Bash. Their opponents will be The Hurricane and Shannon Moore, Jamie Noble and Nunzio and Kyo Dai. Dawn was surprised by Paul’s decision but Paul said well Hurricane and Moore would have asked for their rematch, Noble and Nunzio want another shot at the belts. As for Kyo Dai he has something in store for them. Dawn leaves with the champs.Chavo shows up and wanted to know what Paul has in store for Kyo Dai. Paul told Chavo that if Funaki and Akio do not win the belts this Sunday then the entire group will have to split up.Chavo said that’s a great idea but since Kyo Dai are facing each other tonight, what about him. Paul told Chavo he still will have his shot but it may not be against Tajiri. Chavo was confused so Paul made it clear. Whoever wins the cruiserweight belt tonight from Kyo Dai will face Chavo at The Bash. Now if Tajiri loses tonight then he would replace the new champion in the tag title match. So if Funaki wins the belt then Tajiri will be teaming up with Akio at The Bash. Chavo likes this idea and Paul adds that if Tajiri somehow wins tonight, if he loses at The Bash then he will never ever receive a cruiserweight title shot on Smackdown again. That’s what you get for messing with Paul Heyman. Chavo thanked Paul and vows to beat whoever the champion is this Sunday.

Match 2
RVD vs Matt Hardy
Val Venis comes down without Dawn Marie to do commentary for the next match. Val says he knows that he can beat Cena because those 2 times that Cena beat him, he got lucky. Val says that 3 times won't be the charm because the Big Valbowski has what it takes to beat Cena and become the new WWE United States Champion. Matt Hardy comes down for his match and cuts a promo. Matt Hardy states that last week Val won because of him. Matt claims that Val has had his chances of being the WWE United States Champion and failing each and every time while Hardy he is on his way to the top here on Smackdown. He knows that he is so much better than Val Venis and so much better than Cena because if you have Mattitude, the only way to go is up. RVD comes down and takes the mic off Hardy. RVD mentioned that last week Hardy got involved in his match but right now he’s going to kick Hardy’s ass. RVD says he is going to make an impact here on Smackdown and at The Great American Bash this Sunday, he’s becoming the #1 contender.

RVD gets a right hand on Hardy and here we go the bell rings. RVD sends Hardy to the ropes and nails him with a spinning heel kick and Hardy kicks out at 2. Matt Hardy takes advantage by poking RVD in the eye, and then taking RVD down with a standing dropkick. Matt Hardy is doing his V1 taunt taunting the fans as well as RVD. Matt notices Val and taunts him in the process as well. Then out of nowhere RVD is back to his feet and he is behind Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy turns around, he turns around into a right hand from RVD. Matt and RVD go back and forth until Matt takes control of the match and delivers a richochet and RVD kicks out at 2. Mid way into the match Matt Hardy locks in a Camel Clutch. RVD is fighting, he's struggling but RVD manages to rise up to his feet while Matt Hardy is still on his back losing grip of the Camel Clutch. RVD drags Hardy near the corner and hits the split legged moonsault and goes for the cover and pins Hardy for the 3 count. RVD wins. The match is over and then after the match RVD taunts Val Venis with his RVD sign.
Winner: RVD
Paul Bearer, Kane and Mordecai are in a dark room. Kane says John Cena not only will I end your title reign, who knows maybe I will send you to the grave just like how I did to my brother The Undertaker before. Mordecai says after all those years ago when Taker tortured him it was the biggest mistake that The Undertaker could have made because all those years of torture are coming back to haunt you Dead Man. I know your strengths and now I know all your weaknesses and this Sunday not only will I punish you for your sins but you will be the one who is buried alive and this time it will be for good Undertaker. Consider this to be your last rites. Then Paul Bearer says your time is running out Undertaker because this Sunday you will be the one who Rests In Peace and all three men are laughing wickedly.

JBL comes down to the ring
JBL comes down in his limo and mentions that he has had a really bad week, and JBL says it is because of one man Rey Mysterio. JBL then says he would be WWE Champion right now if it wasn't for Rey Mysterio. He had Eddie beat last week until Rey had to stick his nose in his business. JBL says at The Great American Bash he will guarantee victory by destroying that Mexican midget Rey Mysterio. JBL explains the rules of the Bull rope match. JBL states that Rey was once a cruiserweight champion who should still be competing in the cruiserweight division and not with the heavyweights. JBL claims that Rey hasn’t elevated his game, while JBL is one of the guys that has stepped up and will soon go on to become world champion, that is his goal. That is something Rey ruined for him last week. He claims that Rey is jealous that because he hasn’t got a title shot yet, then again Rey hasn’t done anything yet to deserve it. JBL starts laughing. JBL then says that all Mexicans are nothing but slaves who should be working for people like him. JBL brings a Mexican man right down to the ring and the Mexican guy says he is unemployed and a huge fan of Rey Mysterio. JBL says you are nothing but a Mexican hobo who should be on the streets, a loser, a slave who should be working for me. You Mexicans have the worst fans in the world.

JBL told the fan that if you wanna be rich, all you have to do is learn from me JBL. JBL told the fan if you want to earn good money then all he has to do is wash JBL’s limo. JBL offers to pay him $500 and the fan agrees. So he goes over to JBL’s limo but Rey Mysterio comes down with a mic in his hand. Rey mentions that JBL’s limo is already clean so there would be no point in washing it so he has an idea. Rey gets a bucket of paint from the back and tells the fan how about the fan starts from scratch and washes JBL’s limo. JBL warns Rey not to do it and Rey tips some of the paint on JBL’s limo. JBL is livid. JBL starts yelling that he’s going to teach Rey a lesson he will never forget. He’s going to send Rey back to Mexico to his people. Rey decides to throw more paint on the limo so JBL runs over to the limo worried that Rey is going to throw more paint on his limo so he stops Rey for the moment. Rey threatens to throw it on JBL’s suit and JBL warns Rey not to do it otherwise he will suffer the consequences. JBL states that it is a $3000 dollar suit, he’s warning Rey not to do it. Rey throws the bucket of paint all over JBL’s suit as the fans celebrate while JBL is embarrassed.

Backstage Stacey Keibler and Torrie Wilson make their return to Smackdown as they confront Paul Heyman. Dawn Marie tries to get involved but the divas beat up Dawn as Dawn manages to escape. Paul wants to know what the hell is going on. Stacey told Paul since she came here to Smackdown, Paul assured her that he would treat her right. However Paul did not care for her safety as Kane abducted her. Torrie says Paul did not take no action on Kane or Mordecai, Paul didn’t even find out how she was doing while she was in hospital. She was going to return at The Great American Bash but she's back a bit sooner so Paul must be surprised to see her. Stacey called Paul Heyman a liar because he just cares about himself and doesn’t care for the safety of his superstars on Smackdown. Paul tried to apologise to the divas because he simply can not control guys like Kane and Mordecai, they are unstoppable. Torrie said Cena’s match is next but she’s not going to go and put herself in harm’s way again but hoped that Cena teaches Kane a lesson he will never forget. Stacey said if Paul can not control Kane and Mordecai then he shouldn’t be the General Manager of Smackdown. Torrie agreed and claimed that Paul would certainly not be missed. Paul did not like this and said Smackdown was certainly a better place without them while they were gone and they weren’t missed at all. Torrie all of a sudden slapped Paul Heyman and Paul was furious and said you know what you got what you deserved from Kane. Then Stacey slapped Paul as the divas leave. Heyman was furious.

Undertaker goes for a tombstone as Mordecai slips out and delivers a chokeslam on The Undertaker. Druids come down to ringside as they bring out a casket and bring it out for Mordecai to see. Mordecai signals for the crucifix powerbomb on The Undertaker but when he notices that the druids open the casket he stops and goes outside the ring and sees that the druids have opened the casket. Mordecai sees his own corpse and Mordecai is so freaked out he is literally shocked when he sees himself in the casket. All 4 men then start brawling on the outside as the referee starts counting and gets to 10 and declares this match a double count out. Kane & Mordecai end up leaving with Paul Bearer as the 3 of them are exiting getting the heck out of dodge with Taker and Cena who are now back in the ring staring all 3 of them down. Undertaker does his cut throat signal as he signals to Paul Bearer and Mordecai that the end is near for them.
Result: Double Count Out

JBL is in the back with Booker T. JBL is furious that Rey ruined his suit and limo. JBL says he can not wait to get his hands on Rey tonight. JBL makes a deal with Booker T. JBL says these Mexicans need to be taught a lesson. JBL says once Booker T becomes champion this Sunday, then JBL wants the first shot at the belt. Booker agrees.

Match 4
Cruiserweight Title Triple Threat Match
Tajiri (c) vs Akio vs Funaki
This match was made because these men are being punished by Paul Heyman as a result of what happened last week when Tajiri accidentally sprayed green mist in the face of Paul Heyman. The bell rings as Tajiri and Akio are fighting it out exchanging rights and lefts exchanging kick after kick until Funaki tries to roll up Tajiri from behind pinning him 1...2...Tajiri kicks out. Then Funaki tries to pin Akio from behind rolling him up 1...2...Akio kicks out. Tajiri and Akio are surprised at Funaki with what he has just tried to do to them. Akio is surprised at Tajiri now. The 2 of them are fighting it out exchanging rights and lefts until Tajiri whips Akio off the ropes and catches him with a handspring elbow. They cover Tajiri at the same time but the ref is not counting because only one man can be champion. Now Akio and Funaki start shoving each other and start fighting. Akio catches Funaki with a roundhouse kick and goes for a cover but Tajiri breaks it up the pin.

Mid-way into the match Funaki goes up to the top rope and he flies off the top rope taking both Akio and Tajiri out with a diving crossbody. Funaki then delivers a tornado DDT on Akio and Tajiri breaks up the pin. Tajiri turns around and Akio nails Tajiri with a dropkick. Akio goes up to the top and hits a corkscrew moonsault and goes for a cover on Tajiri and now Funaki breaks up the pin. Akio reverses a whip and catches Funaki with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and now Tajiri breaks up the pin. Tajiri whips Akio into the ropes and locks in the tarantula but Akio counters and dumps Tajiri over the top rope to the floor. Akio and Funaki fight it out in the ring and Akio goes up to the top rope and hits a moonsault on Funaki. He goes for the cover and Tajiri gets in just on time and breaks it up at 2. Tajiri dumps Akio outside the ring and waits for Funaki to get bck to his feet as he is on his knees still and Tajiri hits the Buzzsaw Kick on Funaki to pin him for the 3 count to retain the title. Tajiri retains his title in a hard fought match. Tajiri will now go on to face Chavo Guerrero at The Great American Bash this Sunday. After the match he checks on his team mates and he holds up the hands of Akio and Funaki. Tajiri shakes hands with his stablemates and they hug, leaving the ring as a team, good display of sportsmanship after the match.
Winner: Tajiri

Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman are on the phone to each other as Bischoff is making fun of Heyman for being slapped by two divas. Eric said Paul look how far you’ve fallen, when i once came to Smackdown , i never got slapped by a diva infact i kissed the General Manager at that time, that’s right I’m talking about Stephanie McMahon. Now that’s how powerful i am because I’m Eric Bischoff. That’s why Raw has the divas division and i know how to control all these divas but you can’t even control no one on your roster. Paul Heyman was furious. Paul fires back and said what would be even funny is seeing Eric Bischoff being Eugene’s apprentice on Raw next week. Wouldn’t it be fun to work under your nephew, what sort of jobs are you going to do? Picking up his bags, cleaning his shoes. Paul says that could signal the end of Bischoff’s run as Raw GM. Heyman started to tease Eric about Vince McMahon’s announcement and pretended that he knew what it was. Paul said he’s heard rumours that Vince McMahon is going to fire Eric Bischoff as Raw GM and that he is going to be replaced by the genius himself Paul Heyman. Eric says to quote the great Mr McMahon there is no chance in hell of that happening and Paul should be worried about his job because he has a ppv this Sunday. If he doesn’t deliver then his job could be on the line. Paul said we will see about that because he will appear via satellite on Raw next week. They argue and Paul hangs up on Eric.

The ref's view is obstructed and Booker T slips back in and hits Eddie Guerrero in the skull with the WWE Title which sends Eddie Guerrero down on to the canvas. JBL sees Rey trying to get involved in the match, JBL takes out Rey Mysterio with a Clothesline from Hell with Booker T getting rid of the WWE Title belt throwing the evidence away. Booker T is going to steal this victory, he pins Eddie Guerrero 1...2...3. The match is over. Booker T steals this one, can this be a sign of things to come on Sunday, could we have a new WWE Champion? After the match JBL brings the bullrope and starts adding insult to injury by dragging Rey across the ring with the bullrope. Booker T then hits Eddie with the scissors kick and the does the spinaroonie in the ring. He then brings the WWE Championship back into the ring and he is posing with the title standing over Eddie Guerrero while JBL stands tall over Rey Mysterio.
Winners: JBL and Booker T

The announcers run down the matches for The Great American Bash ppv which is this Sunday.

Contract Signing for Edge vs Kurt Angle’s Unsanctioned Match

Paul Heyman comes down to the ring where a red carpet is laid over the ring. The tables and chairs are set up as Paul Heyman starts talking trash about the fans and tells them not to laugh at him because if they continue on he will not allow any more bikini contests here on Smackdown. So you won’t be seeing you’re favourite divas Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler here if these fans continue to disrespect him. Paul vows to make their lives miserable on Smackdown and he’s already given an example tonight with Kyo Dai. Paul then talks about the contract signing between Edge and Kurt Angle and calls out Edge first to the ring who gets booed heavily. Then he calls out Kurt Angle who receives a great ovation from the fans. Paul Heyman says gentleman, you both have bad blood, you both hate each other’s guts and he wants to do things the proper way. He is sick of Angle and Edge attacking each other. If you guys want to end each other's careers so damn bad, then lets get this over and done with and you both sign this contract for the Unsanctioned Match at The Great American Bash. He hoped that this contract signing does not end in chaos so he wants them to sign right now. Edge and Kurt stare at each other and Paul starts yelling sign this damn contract right now. Edge told Paul to calm down. He will sign the contract but first he has something to say to Kurt. Edge says Kurt at the Great American Bash I will not only just beat you Kurt, I am going to end your damn career like how I should have done the first time and when I do that Kurt, I can guarantee you that you won't be coming back because I will get rid of you Kurt for good. You robbed me of my dreams, i was on my way to become the fastest rising star but you couldn't handle it and took me out. Then i came back and again you continue to be a thorn in my side and robbed me of the thing i desire the most, the WWE Title. You see Kurt, you're an obstacle in my path and I'm going to run you down. Edge signs the contract as Kurt Angle has a smile on his face.

Kurt says you had two goals and one goal was to put me out of action which you did but you didn’t quite get the job done. You see when i put you out of action last year i ended up winning the WWE Title that year. Now this brings me to your second goal, you want to be champion right, well you’ve never won the WWE Title and as long as I’m here, you’re never going to become champion. When I assaulted you at the King of the Ring, and I nearly destroyed you Edge, I will do more than just destroy you Edge, I will end your career like how I should have done way back last year. I will cause you the exact same pain that you caused me but this time you will never be the same again, oh it's true, it's damn true. Kurt signs the contract. Edge is livid. Paul Heyman then says the match is set, it will be Edge vs Kurt Angle in an Unsanctioned Match at the Great American Bash. Then out of nowhere Edge flips the table over with Kurt Angle falling out of his chair with the table falling on him. Paul Heyman leaves the ring in a hurry and he is at the ramp and he tries to call for security to come down to break up Angle & Edge. Then Edge begins to put the boots to Kurt Angle beating the hell out of him until Kurt Angle takes Edge down with a ferocious takedown beating the living hell out of Edge. Kurt clotheslines Edge over the top rope. Kurt takes his shirt off and stands on the top rope celebrating and taunts Edge to get back in. The crowd is going nuts. Edge gets in and they start brawling again until security starts running down to the ring and they separate Edge and Angle getting Edge out of the ring. Angle is still in the ring with the security holding him back and he stares down Edge standing tall all be it with security in the ring. Edge is on the outside and says "Sunday" to Kurt over and over again while he is being held back by security as Smackdown comes to a close.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

First of all, I want to say that I love the way you do your shows. Its easy to read and the pictures add a lot. Where do you get your pictures google? Cause they must take a long time to put together.

REVIEW...

Booker T. as a heel chasing Eddie's Title works. I always thought the WWE missed the boat with Booker T. from 2003 to 2005. Eventually they unleashed King Booker which worked cause Booker T. made it work. I love Booker T here and I think he may be a guy you might give a title tun to in the in between time while you're building up your younger guys.

Lot of time spent on the Undertaker | Kane | Mordecai stuff. Rightfully so as it feuls two PPV matches and possibly a Summerslam match between Taker and Kane. I like Mordecai and am a tad curious if like Rikishi you'll drop him in the BTB like in RL. I hope not...maybe you can cheat it until you turn him "Dark" Mordecai (Kevin Thorn) lol...

New Tag Champions on Smackdown! Nice. I like the dynamic of Dawn, London and Kidman. I see that you are really trying to build up a solid Tag Division. Props for that.

JBL pulling shades of Ted DiBiase works for me too. Furthers the PPV match here and makes JBL a huge dick. nice touch man.

The Divas stuff and the Eric | Paul stuff sets up some stuff IMO. If the divas are upset with Heyamn I'm sure others are...but there are rumors of Bischoff being fired on Raw. I'm curious to see how Vince's plan for them to switch goes. We could have two new GMs soon lol.

The Main event was good and really set up Booker T for GAB. I like this, but I have a feeling Eddie walks out of the PPV Champion.

Really enjoyed your show mman. I hope it continues to grow Interested to see how you handle certain wrestlers in the coing months. The PPV looks good can't wait man.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

Opening the show off with Booker T and Eddie Guerrero was great, as it really builds up towards their match for GAB and I love the way you had Eddie Guerrero embarrass Booker T and Booker T trying to attack Eddie but Eddie turning it around on Booker and Booker bailing was great

Undertaker graveyard segment, I must say that I was beyond terrified, and that is how you should make all of Undertaker's promos, and this Sunday if Mordecai and Paul Bearer aren't careful, they could be the ones in that grave being buried alive and if Kane even tries to get involved, he will join his cousin and uncle in a grave too, as for who wins this Sunday, I will say somehow Mordecai will win and bury Undertaker alive

London & Kidman becoming the new WWE Tag Team Champions, great, and then Dawn celebrating with her guys after the match was great and then Dawn since her stable has gold now, maybe she can do the same for Val by getting him to win the WWE United States Championship or have Val go after the WWE Title, either way I can't wait to see London & Kidman defend their titles at GAB

Then we find out that London & Kidman will defend their titles at GAB in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Title match facing Kyo Dai, Hurricane & Moore, and Noble & Nunzio, now the odds will really be stacked against them, I can't see them walking out with their titles, I see Kyo Dai winning this Sunday. Then Chavo walks into Heyman's office and then he basically gets the winner of tonight's match at GAB for the Cruiserweight Title and should Tajiri lose his title to any one of his stablemates like Akio or Funaki, Chavo would face them while Tajiri would have to compete for the WWE Tag Team Championship would be great. As for who wins in the Cruiserweight Title match, I see Tajiri retaining, Chavo will lose

RVD beating Matt Hardy with Val Venis on commentary was great, RVD is ready for the Triple-Threat on Sunday but I see Matt Hardy winning the Triple-Threat this Sunday and he will go on to face either Kane or Cena for the WWE United States Championship, I see Kane beating Cena, to set up Kane vs Matt Hardy

Kane, Paul Bearer and Mordecai their promo backstage in a really dark room was great and how they were talking about their opponents for Sunday and how they were going to beat them and then Paul Bearer to cap it all off was great

JBL segment I loved it a whole lot as it really made JBL look like a top heel on Smackdown and then Rey embarrassing JBL the way he did, for their match this Sunday, I see JBL beating the hell out of Rey Mysterio especially after what Rey just did to him

Backstage with the divas Dawn, Stacy Keibler, and Torrie with Heyman, I really didn't care for it, but personally in a way it kind of builds up their rivalry even more but also at Heyman's expense too and Heyman if he doesn't make Stacy or Torrie happy, he could be fired

Undertaker & Cena facing Mordecai and Kane was awesome and then especially with Mordecai seeing the casket and opening it and seeing his own corpse, was great and then all chaos ensuing after the match was great also

JBL/Booker T backstage segment was great also

And Tajiri retaining the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Akio and Funaki in a Triple-Threat Match was great, now Tajiri goes on to face Chavo this Sunday and Akio & Funaki now have to go for the Tag Titles

Eric Bischoff and Heyman yet again backstage was funny again, with them on the phone with each other, will their rivalry finally come to ahead in a match against each other or will one of them be fired as GM of their brand? Whatever plans you have, Kintaro, I just can't wait until we find out what you have planned with these 2

Booker T and JBL beating Eddie & Rey was great, as it really makes JBL and Booker T strong coming into GAB, and I could see them beating Eddie and Rey respectively with the tides turning on Smackdown

And for the contract signing between Kurt Angle and Edge, really awesome way to end Smackdown!!!!!!

Overall great Smackdown and I can't wait until the Great American Bash which is your next show and then after that we get to see RAW!!!!!!!!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Thanks for the review guys. Barry, most of my pics are from youtube. It's hard to find good pics from that time period from google so that's why i just use most of the pics from youtube. I prefer to include pics, i like it this way.

WWE The Great American Bash Preview
June 27, 2004, Norfolk, Virginia

WWE Title Match
Eddie Guerrero (c) vs Booker T

Since winning the Interpromotional 30-Man Battle Royal back at the King of the Ring, outlasting 29 other men Booker T now finally has the chance to become WWE Champion by facing the WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero. As of late their rivalry has really heated up with Booker T getting wins over Eddie Guerrero in tag team matches but Eddie Guerrero embarrassing Booker T in the process. Will Eddie continue to reign supreme as champion or will Booker T put a stop to Latino Heat’s reign this Sunday by becoming the WWE Champion for the first time at The Great American Bash?

Unsanctioned Match
Edge vs Kurt Angle

Since Kurt Angle made his shocking return at the King of the Ring costing Edge the WWE Championship and then destroying Edge in the process, Kurt Angle is back for one thing, revenge? Now their rivalry is really personal as Edge wants to finish what he started putting Kurt Angle not just on the shelf for good, he wants to end Kurt Angle's career. Has Kurt made a big mistake to come back so soon? This Sunday these 2 will face off in an Unsanctioned Match where anything goes and everything is legal with no legal repercussions. Just who will walk out of the Unsanctioned Match this Sunday? And which man will be defeated?

Buried Alive Match
The Undertaker vs Mordecai

Undertaker and Mordecai's rivalry will come to a head this Sunday in a Buried Alive match, a match where the only way to win is to bury your opponent six feet under, in a grave covered in a pile of dirt. For years The Undertaker has had his way with many superstars but he has never met anyone like Mordecai. The Undertaker who was buried alive at Survivor Series came back from the dead at WrestleMania but this time Mordecai vows to bury The Undertaker alive for good. These men have been a thorn in each other's sides and one way or another this Sunday it all ends. Just who will walk out this Sunday the winner? And who will be buried alive?

US Title No Holds Barred Match
John Cena (c) vs Kane

John Cena & Kane's rivalry will come to a head this Sunday when these 2 men meet for the WWE United States Championship in a No Holds Barred match. Anything goes, you can take the rule book out the window in this match. John Cena has done everything possible to get underneath Kane's skin by cutting raps and embarrassing Kane. Kane has done everything to make sure Cena doesn't come into this match at 100% attacking him these past few weeks. Not only that Kane has been creating havoc on Smackdown torturing the Smackdown divas Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler. Just who will walk out this Sunday the WWE United States Champion?

Texas Bull Rope Match
Rey Mysterio vs John Bradshaw Layfield

Rey Mysterio & JBL for these two men, their rivalry is not just about honour but it is also based on pride. JBL believes that he is far superior than Rey Mysterio. These past few weeks JBL has tried to do everything to embarrass Rey Mysterio in terms of making fun of him and his country and that he is not a true American. JBL believes that Rey is punching above his own weight and should not compete with the likes of JBL. Rey Mysterio has embarrassed JBL in return costing him the WWE Championship and destroying his limo and suit. Now their rivalry comes to ahead this Sunday in a Texas Bullrope Match, a match custom made for JBL. Just who will walk out this Sunday the winner?

Plus RVD, Val Venis and Matt Hardy compete in a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the US Title. Tajiri will defend his cruiserweight title against Chavo Guerrero, In a fatal 4 way tag team title match the new tag team champions Kidman and Paul London will defend their titles against The Hurricane and Shannon Moore, Akio and Funaki, Jamie Noble and Nunzio.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Great American Bash Predictions

First off, let me just be the first one to say that after looking at this match card that you have, Kintaro, that this card here on paper is way better than what we had in real life over 7 years ago for the 2004 WWE Great American Bash in real life, because this card here is probably one of the best cards that I have seen in terms of the matches and the stipulations behind them, so I will get right down to it as for my predictions

For the WWE Championship, Eddie Guerrero (c) vs Booker T, I see Eddie Guerrero retaining the WWE Championship somehow because he has overcome the odds time and time again beating Brock Lesnar at No Way Out, beating Kurt Angle at Mania 20, beating both Kane and The Undertaker at Judgment Day, and then beating Edge at King of the Ring, title defense after title defense he keeps proving to us why he deserves to be WWE Champion and I don't see it being any different when he faces Booker T for the WWE Championship. However I think Booker will come close but he will end up losing.

Unsanctioned Match, Edge vs Kurt Angle, I see this match being Kurt's to win, I mean the man has been on a tear as of late since coming back, and he just has momentum coming into this pay per view with Edge having hardly any

Buried Alive, I see Mordecai burying Undertaker alive and with his uncle Paul Bearer helping him as well as his cousin Kane, I see Kane getting involved yet again costing Undertaker another Buried Alive match and it will be a while before we see Undertaker again, he will be buried and then come back at either Survivor Series 2004 or at Royal Rumble 2005

WWE United States Championship No Holds Barred, Cena (c) vs Kane, I see Kane becoming the new WWE United States Champion ending Cena's title reign and after the roll Kane has been on, I don't even think Cena can stop him much less anyone else for that matter

Texas Bull Rope, Rey Mysterio vs JBL, I see JBL winning beating Mysterio and embarrassing him

Triple-Threat Match with Val Venis vs Matt Hardy vs RVD, Matt Hardy will win it

Cruiserweight Title Match, Tajiri (c) vs Chavo, I see Chavo walking out the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion

And for the Tag Titles, I see London and Kidman retaining their titles somehow

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE News and Notes

Officials have discussed a tag team title match at Vengeance between the new tag team champions Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho vs La Resistance. This would mean that Benoit and Jericho will be pulling double duty. For the first time in WWE history two opponents that will face each other for the world heavyweight title will also team up on the same night as tag team champions. Never before has this been done on ppv so officials want to test out this idea. The big question is how will Benoit and Jericho co-exist as champions especially that they have to compete later on in the night against each other. We will keep you updated if there is any progress in this story.

For the first time ever in WWE history, The July 12 episode of Raw will be a 3 hour episode. This will be the WWE draft show. Expect to see some surprises on the draft show as the WWE are planning to give this show an almost ppv like feel show.

Shelton Benjamin sustained an arm injury on Raw last week and this is why they went with an injury angle. Shelton is expected to miss almost 8 weeks of action.

Eddie Guerrero is already starting to feel the pressure as WWE Champion. Although officials are very happy with Eddie as champion, Booker T could be given a run with the WWE Title.

The word going around is that Paul Bearer’s current run with the WWE will most probably finish up at The Great American Bash ppv this weekend. Could this be a sign of things to come for Mordecai? Or will Mordecai bury The Undertaker and Paul Bearer together. Tune in this Sunday for The Great American Bash to find out.

There is major backstage heat on Mordecai as he was involved in a bar fight after the Smackdown show with a local man from the area. We will keep you updated if there is more news on this story.

Vince McMahon will be on Raw to make an announcement which concerns both brands. He will also review Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman’s current positions as General Managers. It’s likely that his announcement will be the draft lottery which will take place on July 12 the night after the Vengeance ppv.

Since returning at the KOTR ppv, Kurt Angle has been cleared to return to in ring action again. Expect his feud with Edge to last a couple of months.

The feud between Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman has been building up for months and expect the GMS to have a match at the draft show. I’d rather not do this on a ppv so it’s better off on Raw.

HHH is going to step away from the title scene for the next couple of months but the game will soon be back in the title hunt.

WWE officials have discussed moving Theodore Long and Maven to Smackdown. No news yet on the big names that could be switching brands. Currently there are no plans in switching the heavyweight champions over but plans can change.

Rhyno could be moving to Raw in the draft lottery. Officials have discussed to pair up Rhyno with Trish Stratus so this means Rhyno could be turning heel again in the upcoming months. Rhyno would be a replacement for A-Train. They want to make Rhyno seem important again and a bodyguard/enforcer role for Trish would get Rhyno a lot of air time.

The WWE have signed the following 4 divas to a development deal: Candice Michelle, Melina Perez, Maria Kanellis and Michelle McCool. They will be sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling to train and get started.

Management haven’t been too impressed with Mordecai’s attitude behind the scenes and his in ring work hasn’t been improving either. This is one of the reasons why he hasn’t been featured in many singles matches. However management do like his on screen character and in the short time he’s been here in the WWE, the feud between Undertaker and Mordecai has been built up well. This Sunday he has a big chance to win over management at The Great American Bash. It is a make or break match this week for Mordecai. We will keep you updated if there is any progress in this story.

The Rock and Shawn Michaels are expected to headline SummerSlam this year. Officials have discussed turning one of them heel but since The Rock was already a heel last year, HBK is open to the idea of turning heel again. We will keep you updated if there is any progress in this story.

WWE has come to terms on the release of A-Train. WWE wishes A-Train the best in all future endeavors.

The Great American Bash ppv will be up next week.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

*Rhyno on RAW could be awesome. I hate the idea that he'll play backseat role to Trish but if its only a stepping stone for bigger things I'm all for it.

*The Mordicai thing I'm guessing is a way to write him out of your BTB...hate to see that cause I think he's an interesting character. Guessing the Paul Bearer exiting the company too has something to do with this. I was hoping for a new ministry type stable... :(

*GAB looks great can't wait...

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

A few things I want to point out before I start the review. For my video package of the ppv I’m not gonna go with a history of the event. It will just be a video package highlighting the main feuds for this ppv. It’s really hard to get some of the pics I wanted so some of the pics may not match the description. The match order I decided to separate some of the top matches because I didn’t want every top match to follow the other. I’m not going to go with a match description for the Heat match. Hope you all enjoy this ppv.

Sunday Night Heat Recap
27/6/04

Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us to Sunday Night Heat. The Great American Bash will kick off in an hour.

Tazz and Michael Cole hype up some of the big matches taking place on the show. The main matches for tonight are Eddie Guerrero vs Booker T, Edge vs Kurt Angle, The Undertaker vs Mordecai.

Backstage The Hurricane and Shannon Moore welcome Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler back. Torrie will be back in her team’s corner tonight.

Rey Mysterio, Matt Hardy and Chavo Guerrero cut promos for their matches tonight.

Dawn Marie confronts Torrie and Stacey backstage. Dawn says in their absence, she led her team to victory as they won the tag team titles and there is no way that The Hurricane and Shannon Moore are winning the belts back tonight. Dawn vows to lead her team to victory tonight and not only that she will have the hottest swimsuit outfit than Torrie and Stacey. Last month when Stacey for one night only decided to be in Hurricane and Moore’s corner, it ended up being a good luck charm for them. However since Judgment Day. Stacey has not been the same and neither has Torrie. Dawn told Torrie that it’s a mistake for her to come back so soon again andPaul Heyman will take strong action on them for what they did on Smackdown. Backstage Paul Heyman is with Tajiri. Paul tells Tajiri that he doesn’t like being disrespected and he likes to punish those who disrespect him. This is why he’s going to make Torrie Wilson, Stacey Keibler and Kyo Dai’s lives miserable on Smackdown and this applies to anyone else who disrespects Paul Heyman. Paul told Tajiri that he made him a star in ECW but now on Smackdown, Tajiri you’ve crossed the line when you sprayed that mist in my eyes. You could have blinded me. Eric Bischoff laughed at him and applauded Tajiri for that and wishes how he had Tajiri on Raw. That simply won’t happen because he’s going to punish Tajiri on Smackdown. Heyman bans Tajiri from using the green mist, if he uses it tonight then he will be automatically disqualified and Chavo will be awarded the cruiserweight title. Tajiri didn’t like this decision and Paul reminded Tajiri that if he loses this match he will never receive a cruiserweight title shot again on Smackdown. The odds are stacked against Tajiri tonight.

Backstage Paul Heyman is on the phone with Vince McMahon. Vince said he’s pleased with Heyman’s ppv so far. Most of the matches are extreme. Paul says exactly sir, a WCW ppv being re-introduced, he had to inject his old ECW style in there by making most of the matches extreme on this ppv. Since Bischoff has a ppv in 2 weeks, he wants to show Bischoff that this is how you put on a ppv. Vince was impressed. Vince then says he’s changed his mind and doesn’t want Paul to appear via satellite tomorrow night on Raw. He wants Paul to be there at Raw. Paul didn’t like the idea and asked Vince, well Eugene is running Raw tomorrow. How can a genius like Paul Heyman work under Eugene. Paul does not want to be humiliated. He doesn’t want to work under Eugene, that is Bischoff’s job for tomorrow, not his. Vince told Heyman he wants no excuses, he’s not going to have to work for Eugene. He wants Paul to show up because he has an important announcement to make which concerns both brands, plus he has some important things to discuss with Bischoff and Heyman. If Paul doesn’t show up then he will hear those magic words YOU’RE FIRED!!!! Vince hangs up on Paul and Paul seems very concerned.

Tazz says it is like a cemetery right here in the arena, somebody is going to be buried alive here. Michael Cole says The Undertaker has never won a one on one buried alive match, will this run continue for The Undertaker, infact since Paul Bearer turned on The Undertaker, Undertaker has not been the same. Mordecai’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring with Paul Bearer. Ever since coming here to the WWE, for 2 months Mordecai has been a thorn in the side of The Undertaker. Tazz reminds us that he pinned The Undertaker in a 6 man tag match a few weeks ago. He believes that he is the new phenom in the WWE. Cole says It’s quite simple, no pinfalls, no submissions, no dqs, or no count outs. To win the match you must bury your opponent into that dirt, into that 6ft deep grave. They have to take the shovel, they have to pour and dig dirt on top of their opponent.

The lights go out as The Undertaker’s music hits and the crowd is going nuts as The Undertaker makes his way down to the ring. Taker tries to ram Mordecai’s head into the turnbuckle and Mordecai puts the breaks on and rams Taker’s head into the turnbuckle. Mordecai signals for the tombstone and goes for it but The Undertaker reverses it into the tombstone only for Mordecai to counter it again into the tombstone and drops The Undertaker with the tombstone. Unbelievable. Tazz thinks there is no way Undertaker is getting up from that because he does not have the power of the urn anymore. One of them has to drag the other to the gravesite and one of them is going to bury the other alive.

Mordecai rolls The Undertaker outside the ring as the match begins to spill out on the outside of the ring with both men attacking each other and beating the hell out of each other. Undertaker whips Mordecai into the barricade back first and Undertaker looks to take out Mordecai with a big boot on to the barricade but Mordecai avoids the big boot and Undertaker gets hung up on the barricade. Paul Bearer instructs Mordecai to finish the job and bury The Undertaker alive. Mordecai brings Undertaker back up to his feet and he low blows The Undertaker with that steel shovel. Mordecai rolls The Undertaker into the grave. 6ft deep, 6ft under, now Mordecai is beginning the process to bury Undertaker alive. Mordecai beginning to shovel dirt into the grave and if he covers Taker with it then this match is over. Mordecai tries to shovel dirt. The Undertaker The Undertaker desperately trying to make his way out the grave and he does. He wasn’t buried completely. Then Undertaker gets a hold of Paul Bearer and he gives him a hard right hand which sends Paul falling backwards into the grave with the urn as Paul falls on top of Mordecai. Taker is making Paul Bearer suffer for his treachery and sins. He wants to bury his lifeless body under that dirt. Paul Bearer is lifeless at the moment. The Undertaker gets down on one knee and lightning strikes the bulldozer as the dirt pouts on the grave. The dirt comes flying down and the grave has been dug. The match is over. The Undertaker finally buries both Mordecai and Paul Bearer alive, and the grave has been set. Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Great American Bash Review

The most anticipated pay per view that you have had yet, and it is finally up, and I must say that I really loved it, from start to finish all the way throughout

Opening contest with Cena and Kane with Cena retaining his WWE United States Championship in a No Holds Barred Match where it could have gone either way with both men kicking out of each other's finishers and it being physical all the way throughout, was great, really back and forth and now that Cena walks out of another PPV as champion, going over Kane just shows me that Cena will be the main event of Smackdown some day and this shows that there will be a bad omen of sorts for Kane & his family tonight, THE CHAMP IS STILL HERE!!!!!!

JBL with his promo leading into his match tonight against Mysterio in a Texas Bullrope Match, JBL looked intense here and I for one hope he beats Mysterio

Undertaker's promo was really bone-chilling here

Kidman & London the new WWE Tag Team Champions even with the odds stacked against them, in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match manage to pull off the victory and steal this one, this just goes to show you that this team is here to stay and that their win on Smackdown was no fluke, Dawn has found herself real winners here and perhaps she can add more gold to her stable with Val Venis in the future

Edge backstage promo with Paul Heyman just shows that Edge now is even more obsessed with being WWE Champion, and that he wants nothing more than to destroy Kurt Angle tonight and end his career

Rey winning Texas Bull Rope against JBL, this match was really intense, I can't even call that a match, it was a war in every sense of the word, as physical and intense as they come and with Rey winning, maybe both him and JBL can move on to bigger and better things

Kurt Angle backstage promo, I love it, Kurt looks like he's ready to go

RVD winning the Triple-Threat against Val Venis and Matt Hardy, just shows RVD is on the rise on Smackdown and RVD vs Cena this Thursday night on Smackdown for the WWE United States Championship will be a great one

Backstage promo with Booker T talking about his match-up with Eddie later on for the WWE Championship, I can't wait for that one, I smell it, we will have a new WWE Champion, I feel it in the air

Edge beating Kurt Angle in the Unsanctioned Match, this match was so very personal, it can be classified as 2 things, a classic and also as a real war, this was a war, not even a match, really physical probably the most physical wrestling match that I've seen in a while with the most brutality, this was great, and Edge stealing the victory only for Kurt Angle to destroy him after the match was great, this feud is far from over

Mordecai's backstage promo was also great with Paul Bearer

Chavo becoming the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion with Tajiri never ever getting a shot at the title again, this is great, maybe it means Tajiri can move up to the Heavyweight division and actually go for a midcard title now that he doesn't have the Cruiserweight Title anymore and since Kyo Dai are no longer a stable, Tajiri can go for the United States Title if he's lucky

Backstage Paul Heyman on the phone with Vince was great, and that Paul Heyman has no choice but to show up on RAW because if he doesn't, he will hear the magical words You're Fired, and that Heyman and Bischoff have to both be in attendance on RAW because Vince has an announcement, I wonder what it could be especially since it concerns both brands

Undertaker winning the Buried Alive match against Mordecai, and when it looked like Taker was beat and that Kane again was going to interfere, John Cena comes to Undertaker's rescue and attacks Kane with a steel chair and then attacks Mordecai and Paul Bearer and then hits an F-U on Kane off the dirt hill and to the floor and then Undertaker getting his hands on Paul by sending him into the grave with Paul Bearer falling on top of his nephew and then Undertaker signalling for the dirt to pile up on them to set that grave and win the match and then after the match Undertaker sets the grave on fire sending Paul and Mordecai both to Hell, that was great, that just shows that The Undertaker of old is back and he is strong again, that can only mean bad things for the Smackdown roster namely Kane or anyone else that gets in Taker's way

Eddie backstage segment with Dawn was funny, it was great

And Eddie Guerrero in the main event rides the storm yet again by retaining his title yet again by beating Booker T, in a great back and forth match-up with Eddie having Booker beat and Booker having him beat, and this match-up could have went either way near fall after near fall, a real classic and Eddie retains, makes me wonder who can beat Eddie Guerrero for that WWE Championship?

Altogether a really great show, and I cannot wait until your next pay per view Vengeance, should be a great one!!!!!!!!!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

First time reader, and as so I will be viewing and reviewing this PPV as it comes, without any knowledge prior hand and see how it goes.
Nice to see you actually write Heat, or at least go in more detail than quick results. The segment between Heyman and Tajiri was a little weird and something with the writing threw me off and couldn’t really get into it, it was like if you were mixing a direct and indirect narrator, and then settling with a hybrid of both.

First full math and it was a nice one. Opening a show with a brawling match is always tricky, but this one was pretty back and forth and filled with excitement, so it worked. I liked specially that it wasn’t one sided, and that they didn’t try to get outside their comfort zone with the brawling. Cena using the chain to win is a good call as it protects Kane a little in defeat

I see now that you will be writing promos this way. JBL’s one worked definitively better than the Heat segment. Undertaker’s stitch is 2004 indeed, when WWE was still treating Taker as his supernatural self and not yet booking him as a legend instead. Mordecai vs Undertaker is a feud I am truly sad we never got to see in real life.

Big contrast here in match styles as following the opening match we get the tag team title match in what really is cruiserweight action. Nice exchanges although I wasn’t really into it but simply because I have always hated Nunzio.

Nice that you added some realistic touches into the bullrope match like the part when the rope broke. You kept it back and forth, despite the obvious size difference which in turn elevated Rey Mysterio, even if he had lost. The ending was not the classic bullrope match finish which was nice and makes me think that this will not be the last encounter between these two.

Havent been able quite yet to tell in the Kurt Angle vs Edge match which one is the face and which is the heel. Heyman agreed to give Edge a title match if he wins, and considering how Heyman is usually totally anti-faces, I guess Edge is the heel, especially with Kurt Angle promo being centered on his valiant return.

The Triple Threat Match was nonstop action indeed, with the expected dynamic once you see that you have two heels and one face. RVD vs Cena should be an interesting matchup and curious to see how you take what would be a face vs face rivalry.

Way too much suckas in that Booker T promo. Kinda takes away from his final suckaaaa, which is supposed to be the strong finish to his segments.

And so I was right, Edge is the heel. La de daa. Anyways, not sure about how Kurt Angle is taunting to the crowd in cocky fashion (his Wooo Flair rip off) considering this is a blood feud and he should be determined on just destroying his opponent. From that point on though you did keep the psychology in point, with both men keen on destroying each other and Angle having indeed returned perhaps way too early. This two in real life when wrestling kick out of absolutely everything in their movesets and it was no different in this match. With the ending it seems Edge will be wrote off for a while and Kurt Angle moves on at least for now.

I liked Mordecai’s promos. I see why he is paired with Bearer, but I liked the promos Mordecai could cut on his own.

You already made it clear that the odds are stacked against Tajiri in his title match, although in doing so you kinda make Tajiri look bad. He has the odds stacked against him just because he wnt be able to use the green mist? Kinda undermines his wrestling ability. The match itself was more technical than the tag title match which was a good call although for me Tajiri losing cleanly made him look even worse.

Oh, so you made Mordecai Paul Bearer’s nephew. That explains it. Nice brawl although to be honest it was a little boring at times, with sprinkles of brightness thanks to moves from The Undertaker and the violence from Mordecai towards the end. An overbooked finish that seems to hint towards Undertaker vs Kane. Not sure about that after Cena beat Kane. Kane was protected in defeat, but not so much that he can hop into a high profile feud.

Isn’t by this point known in the WWE storyline arc that Eddie is married? If not, then this segment worked.

This main event better now be another brawl. Not that it’s been bad, but it seems we have had too many matches following that pattern. I see that it is starting technical, which is fresh for this event. This match is certainly a worthy main event as the back and forth is pretty exciting and they are busting out their best moves. Lots of near falls. Eddie Guerrero retains the championship and does so true to his mantra, lie cheat and steal, which is nice.

In general, it was a nice PPV. Promos were a little confusing in times as to how they were laid out, but they all got their message across. A little too much brawling matches but that’s to be expected considering the roster Smackdown has.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

I wonder what's the status with Mordecai and Paul Bearer? Have they been released?

What will Kane's reaction be to Undertaker essentially "killing" his dad Paul Bearer and his cousin Mordecai?

Will he cause destruction on Smackdown?

I'm very excited for Vince McMahon's announcement, I am thinking that he will make a blockbuster announcement. Now that Edge got hurt in his match, I wonder if he will get his title match on Smackdown against Eddie Guerrero, or will Paul Heyman give someone else a title shot?

So much to look forward too

WWE News and Notes

The WWE released Mordecai and Paul Bearer from their contracts today. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.

It has been reported that Kevin Fertig who plays the character of Mordecai has been let go from World Wrestling Entertainment. He was released for numerous reasons. Mordecai who debuted 2 months ago had been developing backstage heat for his cocky attitude towards WWE staff and wrestlers. Many felt Mordecai’s unprofessional behaviour will set back his standing in the WWE and this made the WWE not want him in the company. His bar fight incident didn’t help matters either as lawsuits were filed and the WWE had to protect themselves by releasing Mordecai. He was given a major push right at the start as he was put in a major angle with The Undertaker. Therefore his character was written off in the buried alive match as The Undertaker defeated Mordecai to win the match.

Paul Bearer however has left on good terms. Paul Bearer was bought back for a short period of time at WrestleMania and finished his run at The Great American Bash. From a storyline point of view it was the right call to have Paul Bearer and Mordecai’s characters dropped in the buried alive match.

Officials have discussed a feud between Val Venis and Matt Hardy.

This is the best I could do for an excuse to release Mordecai lol. I used his real life bar incident plus added attitude problems to it. As he was released in real life after TGAB ppv, i have to get rid of him. I don’t like using characters if they are not around after they are released, doesn’t seem realistic. This is why I didn’t use Brock, Goldberg, Ultimo Dragon and Farooq. I also ended up releasing Rikishi as he was injured and ended up being released in July. As for Mordecai at least I used him better than he was used in real life. My original plan was not to bring him in at all as it would have been a short stay. I then changed my mind and wanted to try out an Undertaker/Mordecai feud even if it was a short stay for Mordecai. It turned out to be a pretty good feud. Raw will be up on the weekend.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Since Eugene is running the show, most of the matches are very short. I’ve ended up making it a very promo heavy show, just to hype up the Vengeance ppv more. I wanted to get most of the important hype for Vengeance in this show so this is why it’s more promo heavy.

WWE Raw
June 28, 2004
The interim General Manager for tonight Eugene and his mentor William Regal arrives to the building. Eric Bischoff and Coach have been waiting for them and Eugene hugs his uncle Eric. Eugene tells his uncle that he’s so excited to be the Raw GM tonight. He’s throwing a party and everybody is invited. Coach starts laughing and says you can’t be serious, you of all people throwing a party. Regal warns Coach to show some respect as Eugene is his boss tonight, not Bischoff. Regal says since he was once a commissioner he will be helping out Eugene. Regal tells Bischoff and Coach that they will be serving the guests at the party. Bischoff and Coach flip out and say this isn’t their job, they’re not going to be ordered around here. Bischoff tries talking Eugene out of it and tries being nice. Regal believes Eugene will do a better job as GM than Bischoff ever did. Regal reminds Eric that Mr McMahon is here tonight and Bischoff has to listen to Eugene tonight. Their first task is to carry their bags while they go out address the audience. Eugene says bye Uncle Eric, I’ll see you at the party later on. Bischoff was furious.

The Raw video package opens as the announcers welcome us to the show. Eugene’s music hits as Eugene and William Regal come out to a great ovation as balloons and confetti starting to fall from the ceiling. Eugene welcomes the fans to Raw. He mentions that his uncle Eric never threw a party for him but tonight he’s decided to throw a party because he’s in charge tonight. He wants everyone to have fun tonight. Evolution comes down to interrupt Regal and Eugene. Eugene holds Regal back and warns Evolution that they can't bully him around tonight because he's the General Manager. Batista says is that supposed to intimidate them. Eugene looks nervous and HHH tells the big man to calm down. HHH tells Regal to also calm down and sarcastically apologises to Eugene and tells him to forget about what happened between them and let’s try to work things out. HHH tries to get Eugene to give him a title shot tonight and this way Eugene’s matches against Flair tonight and his match against Batista at Vengeance will be off. He wants Eugene to do the right thing and then they can all party Evolution style. Everything will be forgotten and Evolution will not step in Eugene’s way again.

Regal gets in HHH’s face and says last week Evolution may have had it their way but tonight Eugene is in charge and now it’s their turn to teach them a lesson. HHH reminds Regal of the beating he suffered last week at the hands of Evolution. Regal wonders if HHH considered his actions wise. Regal says unfortunately for you sunshine I know what exactly you’re trying to do and it’s not going to work. HHH tells Regal that he thought Regal was smart but he isn’t. He tells Regal to think about it, if he beats Benoit for the belt then his match with Regal at Vengeance will be for the world title. Orton even offers to give Eugene a future IC Title shot. HHH wants Regal to convince Eugene. Regal fires back and says people like you disgust me. Regal says he will get a title shot at his own merit. He’s been fighting for a living since the age of 15 and he’s fought some of the toughest men in the world. He came back from an almost career ending injury and now he’s in the best shape of his life. Regal brings up their history in WCW when he was HHH’s mentor. He wants HHH to look at the titantron as he shows a picture of HHH working under Regal in WCW. Regal says he knows HHH very well and HHH is going to face someone who is barbaric, sadistic and at Vengeance he’s going to give HHH a thrashing of a life time.
HHH looks at Regal and tells him that he may have been his protege 10 years ago but he went on to become better than him, he went on to make history, he went on to win titles, headline WrestleMania and right now he’s the leader of the greatest group ever Evolution. So Eugene, Evolution is your solution, so tell me right now what is it? Do I get my rematch, yes or no. Batista is clenching his fists trying to intimidate Eugene and he yells No and turns down HHH’s request, HHH is furious. Eugene says you had your match and lost, you QUIT. Eugene starts laughing. Eugene adds that Evolution are not invited to his party. Eugene continues laughing. Flair and Orton try to intimidate Eugene. Flair says he’s going to show HBK what’s in store for him at Vengeance when he beats the crap out of Eugene tonight. Batista gets a balloon and tells Eugene that he just made the biggest mistake of his life and this will be his fate at Vengeance. Batista pops the balloon and Eugene makes a sad face as Evolution have a smile on their face. Eugene gets angry and tells HHH that since he can’t face Benoit one on one, he will face him in a tag team match. He announces Benoit and Jericho vs Batista and HHH for tonight. HHH says Benoit and Jericho can not co exist, they are not a unit like Evolution and after tonight Evolution will bring home the tag team titles. Regal tells Evolution to bugger off and Evolution then begin to leave as they head up the ramp taunting Eugene.

Match 1
Gail Kim vs Molly Holly
The divas lock up and Molly catches Gail with a right hand. Molly sends Gail into the ropes but Gail takes Molly down with a hurracanrana. Molly reverses a whip and hits a clothesline on Gail. Molly gets a chinlock on Gail, Gail gets back on her feet and elbows out the hold and delivers a suplex and Molly kicks out at 2. Sunset flip and Molly kicks out again at 2. Gail runs into an elbow by Molly and Molly hits a suplex and gets a near fall. Molly starts kicking away at Gail in the corner, Gail fights back and hits a dropkick. Gail then kicks away at Molly. She takes Molly up to the top but Molly shoves her down. Molly goes for the Molly Go Round and misses. Gail then makes Molly submit to a single leg boston crab.
Winner Gail Kim

In the back Eugene is hosting a party backstage with most of the roster partying. Regal has a surprise for Eugene because he's invited the legendary Kamala. Eugene is delighted to see Kamala here.. Kamala starts jumping around on the table. He takes down Bischoff’s picture and Eugene and Kamala start drawing on Bischoff’s portrait. Coach and Bischoff are serving food to the guests. Bischoff is furious but he has no choice. Trish Stratus shows up and she has a cast on her left wrist. Bischoff asks Trish what happened. Trish says she’s taken it out of my busy schedule to grace everyone here with her presence when she could have stayed home and rested. She explains that she slipped coming out of the shower and sprained her wrist. Her wrist, hand, thumb are still sore and she's experiencing some pain in her lower back and doctor's said she can't compete in the ring for a while but this does mean that she’s out of the 6 pack challenge at Vengeance. She wanted to be here as she is anxious to know what Mr McMahon’s announcement will be but she just can’t believe that Eugene is GM for tonight.

Jericho shows up and starts laughing at Bischoff and Trish. Jericho tells Bischoff he shouldn’t be standing around here, he’s supposed to take care of the guests not just one particular uninvited guest. Jericho says Trish got what she deserved because now she can join the CLB Christian on the injured list. While her quest to become 5 time women’s champion has been put on hold, he’s going to make history at Vengeance because his dream is still alive. Trish fires back and says Jericho can laugh all he want but she had her WrestleMania defining moment when she humiliated Jericho. She told Jericho that he needs to move on because face it, he will never everrr (mocks Jericho) get some one like Trish again. Jericho fires back and says she’s right, he is now deciding to put closure to this because a slut like Trish has got what she deserved. Jericho asks Trish who she was in the shower with when she slipped? Or was it more than one guy in there. Trish took offence to this and tries to hit Jericho in the face with the cast, Jericho ducks and dumps punch all over Trish. Trish freaks out and leaves while everyone starts laughing including Chris Benoit. Benoit talks about the tag match against Evolution tonight and he can not wait to make HHH tap out again.

Chris Jericho and Benoit sit down interview with Jim Ross
Jim Ross mentions he had an opportunity to catch up with Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho a few days ago. A video package is shown of Benoit and Jericho’s career highlights. Jim Ross conducted a pre-taped sit-down interview with Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho where they discussed various things such as training in Stu Hart’s Dungeon, competing in different organisations and then went on to compete in the WWE. Jericho mentions that Chris Jericho’s first ppv match in WCW was against Chris Benoit. Jim Ross first asked Benoit that since becoming champion, he’s become a marked man yet he’s still managed to hold on to his title. How does he feel about facing his friend and tag team partner Chris Jericho at Vengeance? Benoit says he’s looking forward to facing a world class athlete. He has a lot of respect for Jericho. There is a lot of competitiveness between them but in a healthy way. He’s really glad that Jericho is getting the opportunity to fight for the world title. Jim Ross then says while Benoit has been having a lot of success on Raw, Jericho on the other hand has had a rough couple of months, he mentions Jericho’s issues with Christian and Trish. He asks Jericho how are you prepared going into your match with Benoit at Vengeance? Jericho says he’s ready, he knows what it’s like to be the champion before. He became the first ever undisputed champion in WWE history. Now that his problems are behind him, now he’s on a major roll because he’s finally getting an opportunity at the world title. It feels great to face Chris Benoit who’s one of his very best friends in the business. Jericho states that he looked up to Benoit and tried to model his career after him. They know each other very well, it’s going to be a classic match up. Although they are evenly matched, at Vengeance we will find out who truly is better.

Benoit then talks about being dual champion and how he thrives on competition and never backs down from a fight. He adds that because of their history and the competitiveness between them, they match up well. Jericho says as a team they are unstoppable but he’s anxiously looking forward to their one on one battle for the world title. The fans will not know who to cheer for, it will be physical and intense. JR then brings up how they won the tag belts last week when they simultaneously applied the walls of Jericho and crossface. Since they are both submission specialists, who has the better submission hold? They argue back and forth over who’s move is better. Benoit says he won several matches with the crossface. He won the ultimate submission match against another submission specialist Kurt Angle. Then he takes a shot at Jericho by reminding him that he made Jericho pass out to the crossface in a submission match. Jericho then reminds Benoit that he had Benoit trapped in the ladder in the walls of Jericho as he beat Benoit for the Intercontinental title. Jericho puts over a list of his accomplishments, beating Benoit the last time they had a match. He headlined a WrestleMania before Benoit, he became heavyweight champion before Benoit. Benoit smiles and says Jericho has never won a Royal Rumble. He’s never gone the distance like he did this year.

Benoit tells Jericho that he failed to emulate Shawn Michaels last year at The Rumble. Benoit says he entered as #1 this year and did it even better by lasting an hour and won The Rumble. He then went on to defeat HBK and HHH at WrestleMania, something Jericho couldn’t do. After seeing them argue, Ross asks the final question, will the result of their match at Vengeance put a strain on their friendship. Will this all change at Vengeance? Benoit says it will not put a strain on their friendship because they have a great amount of respect for each other. He knows Jericho is happy for his success and he is happy for Jericho’s success. They’re going to go out there and give 100%. Jericho says may the best man win because we both know that when the match is over we will both be able to walk away and discuss our classic match afterwards and then shake hands at the end of the night because they respect one another. Jim Ross thanks both men for the interview and wishes them both the best of luck at Vengeance.

The Rock shows up at the party and Eugene gets excited. Rock makes fun of Coach and Bischoff. He tells the divas to stop looking at the peoples package. Rock is very proud of Eugene and Rock says he’s having a great time here at Eugene’s party. Eugene says he knows it’s unfair that his Uncle Eric booked The Rock and Shawn Michaels in a handicap match tonight but he didn’t want to cancel it or add a partner to it because he wanted to see the dream team of HBK and The Rock teaming up again. He didn’t want this to be a one time only deal. Rock says he doesn’t see eye to eye with HBK but Rock says one thing is certain for sure if HBK gets in The Rock’s way then he’s going to lay the Smackdown on his candy ass. Rock then runs down La Resistance and Randy Orton. Rock finishes off his promo with his catchphrase and Eugene impersonates The Rock by doing the peoples eyebrow. Backstage Vince McMahon thanks Eugene on the way for a good job he did tonight but it ended on a sour note but that was not Eugene’s fault. Vince tells Eugene he’s now going to make some huge announcements.

Vince McMahon Announcement
We are back from the break and Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman are in the ring staring each other down as Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring. Vince then gets down to business. Vince says he’s not in a good mood especially after what went down at the party. This is not the way how General Managers are supposed to behave. If they are so eager on beating the hell out of each other then he’s going to make a match between the two in 2 weeks time here LIVE on Raw which will be the night after the Vengeance ppv. It’s going to be a special edition of Raw because for the first time ever Raw will be 3 hours. He’s decided that it’s about time these fans deserve new superstars, new divas and new rivalries because in 2 weeks time on Raw, the Smackdown roster will be here on Raw. It’s time to shake things up with a DRAFT LOTTERY and every single WWE Employee will be involved and that even includes The General Managers. He doesn’t give a damn who has a problem with this because this applies to everyone, everyone will be involved. Huge pop from the crowd. For example Eugene could go to Smackdown and his mentor William Regal could remain on Raw. Heyman was furious and Bischoff was pleased. He told Bischoff to wipe the smile off his face because since Bischoff sucks up to Evolution and Trish, they could be drafted to Smackdown. We may not even have a General Manager on a brand because one of you could go to another show. Vince told the GMs that they’ve been abusing their power way too much now, they’ve been trying to outdo each other, they’re letting things go way out of control. He hired them to make Raw and Smackdown outstanding shows, he hired them to shake things up. He tells Eric what he’s going to say now is something he told him a year ago and he tells both GMS it is now time for a public job evaluation. He asks the fans if Bischoff and Heyman are doing a good job on their shows and the fans boo heavily. Vince says he’s had enough of Bischoff and Heyman’s stupid arguments, he’s had enough of them sucking up to talent they like, he’s had enough of them for making talents they don’t like, lives miserable. It’s all about equal opportunities dammit. So Vince decides that the draft is a good timing for them.

He’s going to give them both 30 days to turn Raw and Smackdown around. They’ve got the draft to their advantage so for example a huge star on Raw could end up on Smackdown and that could save Paul’s job and vice versa. Or who knows maybe after the draft, one of you could be working for the other then this rule may not apply to them. Or how about Paul you could end up as Raw GM and you could be working with totally different talent, this could be a huge test for you to turn around a show completely in a month and the same applies to you Eric you could end up as Smackdown General Manager. So Vince says mark that date on their calendars July 26. He’s gonna give them 30 days to change the foundation of Raw and Smackdown. If they don’t get the job done... Bischoff cuts Vince off and he knows where this is going he delivered before and he’s gonna deliver again. Bischoff says he’s already got a great idea in his mind. He proposed an interesting scenario for Vengeance. He announces that Benoit and Jericho will be pulling double duty at Vengeance because they will also defend their tag team titles against La Resistance. Heyman thinks it’s a ridiculous idea. Bischoff says it’s never been done before. It’s a new and unique idea. A tag team defending their title and would later go on to compete against each other in the main event. Vince says he likes this idea and that match will take place at Vengeance but that doesn’t mean he’s letting Bischoff off the hook. However it's already a good step in the right direction for Bischoff. Bischoff has a smile on his face. Heyman says he’s doing an excellent job as GM and this 30 days rule shouldn’t apply to him and it should only apply to Bischoff. Both GMs argue. Vince tells them both to shut up. He can replace them both just like that. Vince says if they don’t get the job done then right inside this ring on Raw he’s gonna say these words to them.... YOU’RE FIRED!!!! Vince drops the mic and leaves as Bischoff and Heyman have a tough month ahead of them. Not only will they face each other in 2 weeks on the special draft show, they have 30 days to save their jobs.

Heyman is in the parking lot pleading with Vince to change his mind and Vince tells Heyman to start thinking about saving his job. Vince tells Heyman that he needs to earn the respect back of the Smackdown locker room. He needs to do the right things to save his job. Vince leaves and Heyman seems concerned.

Meanwhile Bischoff is stopped in the back by Evolution and HHH is pissed over the draft announcement. Bischoff is concerned and says he can’t do anything about it. HHH says you better damn make this right. Bischoff gets pissed and says he’s under the most pressure here. Not only does he have to make his certain stars happy, he could lose his top stars to Smackdown and worst of all his job’s on the line as he has 30 days. HHH says 30 days huh, well our lives could be changed here in 2 weeks. Evolution storm off and their match is next.

Jim Ross says what a huge announcement from MrMcMahon. Lawler is concerned that he could end up going to Smackdown and Evolution could also be split up. Jim Ross states that we may not even have a champion on Raw because Chris Benoit or Chris Jericho could end up going to Smackdown.

Mid-way into the match Benoit is still taking a beating from Evolution. Batista who’s now in delivers a backbreaker on Benoit and gets a near fall. He whips Benoit face into the corner and goes for a charge and Benoit moves out the way as Batista goes face first into the turnbuckle.

Benoit makes the hot tag to Jericho and Jericho takes Batista down with a running bulldog and follows up with the lionsault. He goes for a cover and HHH breaks up the pin. Benoit tries getting in but the ref orders Benoit to go back to his corner as Batista and HHH double team Jericho. Batista tags HHH in and HHH starts stomping away at Jericho in the corner. The ref orders Batista to get back to his corner and Jericho whips HHH off the ropes and both men knock each other down with a double clothesline. Both men are starting to get up as Jericho goes to his corner looking for a tag but Benoit is still down on the floor. HHH tags in Batista and drops Jericho with a spinebuster. Batista sets up for the Batista Bomb but Jericho slips out and rolls him up for a 2 count. Benoit is back in his corner. Jericho ducks a clothesline from Batista and hits a low dropkick right to the knee of Batista. Jericho starts kicking away at Batista’s knee and then bounces off the ropes and knocks Batista down with a spinning heel kick. Benoit is back up on the apron. Jericho gives Benoit a hard tag and starts having words with him as Benoit was not there to make the tag when he needed him. Batista comes up from behind and nails Benoit with a right hand.

Batista then locks in the full nelson, Benoit is able to fight out of it and delivers a back suplex on Batista. Benoit goes for the sharpshooter but HHH puts Batista’s arm on the ropes and Benoit has to release the hold. Benoit is having words with HHH and Batista from behind rolls Benoit up for a 2 count. He tags HHH and HHH charges into Benoit and gets backdropped. Benoit hits three consecutive german suplexes. Benoit goes up to the top and hits a diving headbutt and HHH kicks out at 2 ½. Benoit goes for the sharpshooter but HHH kicks Benoit into the corner with Batista nailing Benoit with a right hand. HHH tags Batista back in as Batista goes to work on Benoit. Orton and Flair come down and try to get involved but Eugene and Regal come down and even the odds by brawling with Flair and Orton. HHH gets outside and starts fighting with Regal and Jericho goes up to the top rope and takes down Orton, HHH and Flair with a crossbody. Batista sets Benoit up for the Batista Bomb but Benoit slips out and applies the crossface and Batista starts tapping out. Benoit and Jericho win. Benoit, Jericho, Regal and Eugene celebrate in the ring as Evolution back up the ramp and stare them down. Evolution leave. Jericho goes over to bring the tag titles and the world title in the ring. Jericho has the tag belt on his shoulder and goes over to hand the tag title to Benoit. Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Review

RAW was awesome especially the party with Bischoff & Coach having to serve guests and then having to get Eugene & Regal's bags and then after having to sing along with Eugene and the other guests now that was funny all the way throughout and then Heyman showing up at the party uninvited I might add and completely out of the blue and then after making fun of Bischoff and then it leading to them throwing pies at each other and then going at it until Vince ruined the party by ending it early and then making the announcement of the 2004 WWE Draft Lottery and that both the GMs' jobs are on the line and they have until the Draft to turn their respective shows around, perfect

But in all seriousness I thought the Draft would be the night after Vengeance on the 12th but instead you moved it

But in all seriousness the matches I loved too especially Flair/Eugene, Eugene has beaten 2 Evolution members, boy is he on a roll, who is the next Evolution member that he will face next, I hope it is Orton that he faces next

HHH & Regal have history in WCW, never knew that at all but I am glad that you brought that to our attention, basically makes their match all the more personal at Vengeance

HBK giving Eugene advice was great

And then Rock/HBK about to go at it after they lost to La Resistance and then Eugene coming down to dissolve the tension was great

If only Orton would use the Punt Kick on Haas when he faced him, that would have been awesome

And Gail Kim beating Molly Holly was awesome too

And the whole Jericho/Trish segment had me rolling on the floor dying of laughter

And Jericho & Benoit beating Batista & HHH in the main event was great also

The draft can change lives forever and I can't wait until Smackdown!!!!!!!!!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Thanks. Yeah I'm still doing this but I'm quite busy these days so I'm going to post shows whenever i can. Match write ups from now on will be short. I'll try to get Smackdown up by Thursday.

In a huge announcement on WWE.com, Paul Heyman announced that the following matches will be taking place this week on Smackdown.

The Undertaker vs Kane in a Last Ride Match
Booker T vs Kurt Angle
+ John Cena vs RVD for the US Title
Paul Heyman has 1 month to turn Smackdown around and this week on Smackdown, three big matches signed. We found out at The Great American Bash that RVD will take on John Cena on Smackdown for the United States Title but also this week on Smackdown, for the first time ever we will see a Last Ride Match between The Undertaker and Kane. Kane vows revenge against The Undertaker and this week Kane will be holding a eulogy for Paul Bearer and Mordecai. Kane has also promised that at the end of Smackdown, it will be The Undertaker who will be taking the last ride to hell. There will be no rules. No count outs, no dqs, no pinfalls and no submissions. You have to punish your opponent severely so that there is nothing left for him to do. Then to win the match you have to put your opponent into the hearse and drive it out the arena and back to the morgue. Someone is going to be taking their last ride.

At The Great American Bash, Edge defeated Kurt Angle in an unsanctioned match but after the match Kurt Angle attacked Edge and Edge was carried out on a stretcher. Edge was going to receive a WWE Title rematch against Eddie Guerrero this week on Smackdown but Edge is not cleared to compete against Eddie Guerrero. Paul Heyman has now decided to give Booker T and Kurt Angle another opportunity at the WWE Title as they will face each other this week on Smackdown. The winner of the match faces WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero next week on Smackdown.

What other developments will take place during this week on Smackdown. Only one way to find out…tune in to Smackdown.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Smackdown
July 1, 2004
Highlights are shown of The Great American Bash ppv.

Kane holds a eulogy for Paul Bearer and Mordecai
The Smackdown video package plays as Kane’s music hits and he comes out in a hearse. He parks it on the entrance ramp in the arena. Kane comes down to the ring and steps up to the podium and mic that is set up in the middle of the ring. Kane holds a Eulogy for Paul Bearer and Mordecai. Kane talks about having a family and at The Great American Bash, his family was taken away from him by The Undertaker. Kane starts screaming and yelling because his father and cousin are gone. People are laughing at him, people like John Cena better hope that they don’t remain on the same show as him because if they still end up on the same show as him, he’s going to cause more destruction than he’s ever caused and it starts from tonight. Kane vows revenge because tonight it will be The Undertaker who will be the one to rest in peace and when he does rest in peace it will be for good this time. He’s going to finish off The Undertaker and then he’s going to put him in that hearse and take him away for good.

Kane explains the rules of the last ride match and says he will stuff The Undertaker into that hearse and drive it out the arena back to the morgue. Kane promises to avenge his father and cousin. The gong goes off and the lights go out and then Undertaker's music hits. Undertaker shows up on the screen. Taker talks about how he has buried Paul Bearer and Mordecai and that now there is only one and that is you little brother. Since you want revenge Kane, I will give you what you want, but that Kane you will be the one to take the last ride. Kane says it won't be him that will take the Last Ride, it will be you big brother because after I beat you, I will finally rid Smackdown and the entire WWE of you. It's over Dead Man, there can only be one that's left standing and that's going to be me. Kane starts laughing and Undertaker plays his mind games on Kane by having the druids come out with an open casket. They open the casket and there is no one inside it. Undertaker says the brutality that you will suffer tonight will seal your fate. Prepare for your last ride. Kane tonight you will rest in peace. Suddenly the lights go out and the hearse has gone. More mindgames by Taker as the screen fades to black as The Undertaker’s music plays. Kane is furious and Kane says he is not afraid of Taker. Kane goes crazy and destroys the casket and leaves.

Eddie Guerrero arrives into the arena and Booker T confronts him. Eddie starts smiling and mocks him for not winning the title at The Great American Bash. Booker calls Eddie an embarrassment to Smackdown because Eddie lied, stole and cheated his way to victory. Booker says tonight when he beats that sucka Kurt Angle then next week he’s gonna take what belongs to him and that’s the WWE Title. Eddie holds his belt up to Booker’s face and says a lot of people tried to take this belt off him but failed and he proved to Booker that he’s the better man, the better wrestler. If Booker gets past Kurt Angle tonight then he’ll be waiting for him next week because he’s gonna lie, cheat and steal his way to victory again orrale vato. Dawn Marie shows up and informs both men that after the US Title match, Paul Heyman wants to see all the stars in the locker room for a talent meeting.

Match 1
US Title Match
John Cena © vs RVD

John Cena comes out to a great ovation. Cena gets a mic and says the champ is here. Cena first talks about the draft and now this is his chance to get payback on Evolution because they cost him the opportunity of becoming King of the Ring. Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

SmackDown! Review

Great opening to the show, it sets up your Main Event perfectly, and, I miss those days where Superstars just appeared on the Titantron to answer to their nemesis in the ring.

The opening match with RVD & Cena was good. I'm a die hard RVD fan so, even in fiction, when he loses, a small part of me dies, but, it was a good showing by Cena so, props to him for that. The 8-Men is shaping up to be something else come RAW!

The Chavo & Funaki match was a great filler, these two are so good, so, pairing them together in a 5 minute contest is worth while. Gory Bomb for the win!

I really enjoyed Angle's interview, he's kind of like a tweener, the rematch with Eddie will be tremendous.

MOTN goes to Angle & Booker. What a great back and forth contest, great wrestling maneuvers, a good portion of brawling, and a great ending.

Heyman doing the Talent Meeting with the SmackDown! roster is so circa Beyong the Mat to me. Heyman is someone that can change on a dime to survive, and I also really liked his interaction over the phone with Bischoff, but I cannot wait to see what he does on SmackDown! live and how he handles the draft, SmackDown! is a better show to me than RAW right now so, who knows...

The 6-Men was quick, fast paced, hard hitting action, we didn't get to see Rhyno that much, he certainly would have made a difference size-wise for his team, but, I really liked the ending and JBL vs Mysterio in a Steel Cage next week is going to be awesome. (ps I don't know what to make of Venis/London/Kidman/Dawn all together. Val & Dawn works for me but, I don't know, hopefully the draft doesn't split this group up and I get to see them interact with each other more)

The Main Event was good enough to close to the show. It maybe was one of the better Kane & Undertaker contests on TV ever, so kudos for that. The spot at the end was so cool with the Tombstone on top of the Hearse, and I really like the Chokselam out of nowhere on the outside.

OVERALL
I love your BTB, everything is so well done, your storylines and everything, kudos for that, and keep it up, even if you can't dish out as quickly, keep the quality your top priority.
