Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

Great way to cap off your Smackdown, and now it is not that much longer now until the 2004 King of the Ring PPV, like 2 more weeks left, I cannot believe it, I am so excited

RVD qualifying for the King of the Ring against Johnny Nitro was a great match-up, because it was a high-flying matchup with two contrasting styles, and for RVD to qualify, he is looking like a prime favorite to win the King of the Ring tournament

Backstage segment with Paul Heyman and Dawn Marie looking at the brackets for the KOTR tournament and agreeing that a Smackdown guy will win the tournament and also that RAW won't stand a chance in the tournament but that Dawn Marie says that out of the RAW guys she is liking Batista's chances to make it to the final, but Heyman not even valuing Evolution's chances because they tried to intimidate him on RAW 2 weeks ago when he was running RAW, but that out of the RAW guys he likes Jericho, but that out of the Smackdown guys they think RVD could advance but that Hardy or JBL could win the whole thing not even giving Cena a chance

The Eddie Guerrero/Edge confrontation I loved it, and especially now that their match at King of the Ring for the WWE Championship will be decided in a NO DQ match everything and anything goes in this match, which will settle this feud once and for all and also it will decide who is the better man once and for all, and then they attack each other with Eddie getting the upper hand. Then Heyman coming to the ramp to make the announcement for the 6-man tag team match for the main event, love that too

The Cole/Tazz segment with the Divas Magazine plugging it, good segment, and also talking about the KOTR tournament and how they will be interviewing the 4 Smackdown superstars who will be representing Smackdown in the KOTR tournament later on, thumbs up!!!!!!

The Rey Mysterio/Booker T/Eddie backstage segment I loved it, great segment especially Rey and Eddie mocking Booker T and leaving together, and Booker T muttering to himself after, it was awesome, but Booker T is also a favorite to win the 30-man Battle Royal and so is Rey Mysterio as well!!!!!!

Hurricane & Moore beating Akio & Funaki to retain their WWE Tag Team Championship, I love it, a great fast-paced high-flying match-up between 2 face tag teams, and then the 2 tag teams shaking hands afterwards, I love what you are doing with the Tag Team division on Smackdown!!!!! But what if it comes down to Hurricane & Moore in the final 2 in the 30-man Battle Royal or if it comes down to Akio & Funaki, it is possible, stranger things have happened in WWE!!!!!!

The Kane/Mordecai/Paul Bearer backstage segment, another chilling segment, a scary backstage segment and I love it, Kane is a favorite along with this man his cousin Mordecai he is also a favorite to win the 30-man Battle Royal

Booker T beating Rhyno in a great match-up, I am just loving heel Booker right now because he has been a roll since turning on RVD

Booker T attacking Rey backstage before the 6-Man Tag Team Match, what the hell, why would Booker attack Rey, for what reason, please tell me Booker T has an explanation for doing what he did to Rey Mysterio, I understand him attacking Rey for punking Booker out earlier but what is the real reason for this?

Tajiri beating Jamie Noble in a great Cruiserweight match up to retain his WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Tajiri since becoming the WWE Cruiserweight Champion has been on a roll, and with Chavo there at the ramp watching this match-up makes me think that Chavo is going to come after Tajiri. But both men are in the 30-man Battle Royal, so they could be surprises in the Battle Royal to actually go the distance and do well in it, Tajiri winning, it would be strange but stranger things have happened in WWE!!!!!!

Jamie Noble & Nunzio becoming a tag team, great, they can become WWE Tag Team Champions on Smackdown, and both men are also in the Battle Royal as well, so I can definitely see them trying to team up in there and eliminate people, but what if it comes down to the 2 of them in the Battle Royal, hey stranger things have happened

Tazz and Cole interviewing Cena, JBL, Hardy, and RVD about the King of the Ring, great segment, and it makes me think that any one of these 4 men could win it all, but out of this group here any one of the 4 could go far in the tournament and even win it all

John Cena replacing Rey in the 6-Man Tag Team Match, great choice as it gets Cena ready for KOTR, it gets him battle tested

Cena cutting a rap on Edge, Mordecai, but mostly targeting Kane, I loved it, and even when he made fun of Paul Bearer in his rap, awesome. But in all seriousness Edge, Kane, and Mordecai winning this 6-Man Tag Team Match is awesome as it gives the heels momentum coming into KOTR especially with Mordecai getting the win for his team pinning Taker giving Taker the Crucifix Powerbomb, makes me wonder could King of the Ring be Mordecai's time to becomea superstar, could it be Mordecai's time to become a main eventer and get a WWE Championship match at the Great American Bash?

The battle royal Kane & Mordecai are going to be in there together at the same time and what if in the final 2 it comes down to those 2 men, there has got to be tension here between the 2 cousins, because only one of them can win the 30-Man Interpromotional Battle Royal and go on to the Great American Bash to face the WWE Champion whomever it may be, Eddie Guerrero or Edge that is only if a Smackdown guy wins it

And I like that if any Smackdown star wins the battle royal, they get a WWE Championship match at the Great American Bash against the winner of Eddie Guerrero vs Edge, unless a RAW superstar wins and if a RAW superstar wins the Battle Royal, they get a World Heavyweight Championship match at Vengeance against the winner of the I Quit Match, whomever it may be, whether it is Benoit or Triple H, it doesn't matter who wins, but if the RAW guy wins, their championship match they get it at Vengeance!!!!!!

All of this aside, great Smackdown episode, and I cannot wait until your RAW episode!!!!!!!!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

Right, haven't reviewed your thread for a while, but still been reading, so here goes:

Just to say though, you have done a great job having your BTB in the review format, as its still really easy to read and able to get all the important details in there. As for the storylines and the shows themselves = top class. I'm pumped for KOTR, and lets see where Smackdown takes us!

Nice you had RVD go in the tournament. Nitro I don't think is 100% ready to get that far yet, and you can't have a show without The Whole F'in show can you? I'd say that RVD could be one of the favourites to win, but my picks are either John Cena or Batista.

I'm liking the little rivalry brewing between Heyman and Bischoff. If you have the scope to go that far, maybe Survivor Series would be a good place to have a Smackdown vs Raw match... would be awesome

I LOVE Edge in this thread. The way you've brought him back and completely changed his whole outlook on everything is great, and I think he may actually be Eddie's toughest defence yet, considering he just defended against Kane AND The Undertaker. I personally want Eddie to hold onto the title for a bit longer, maybe Summerslam against Edge in a rematch? Epic Main Event, Check.

Teasing an Eddie/Booker fued, would be really good to see.

Good win for the tag champs, and good to see the sportsmanship showed after the match.

I think Kane might be our favourite in the battle royal, but then there is the guys mentioned earlier; Booker T and Rey Mysterio. I think the win would do good for either of those 3 men mentioned; but Kane is my pick.

Nice match and segment to just show that you're making Booker to be a bit of a badass and I like it. He gets the win against Rhyno and then takes out Rey in the back. I'm now wondering where this leaves out main event?

Another title match... I'm not going to complain. Tajiri and JBL was a good feud, and both men can come out of it looking strong, with JBL now moving up and being in KOTR, and Tajiri can now be a main player in the Cruiserweight scene, as he is the champion and everything. His win against Noble was as predicted, and it was good to see Chavo's input post match, and that would be a pretty damn good feud over the Cruiserweight Championship. Plus we get a new team out of it! Nunzio and Noble could be a good feud for the champs, but I feel that because the champions are cruiserweights already, a better feud for them would be with two bigger guys that seem like more of a credible threat to the titles.

Good to see Cena stepping up to be in the main event, further solidifying that he would settle in there after a KOTR win. The interaction between Cena and Kane is intriguing me, and maybe he might just get involved and help Taker a bit more often? Mordecai getting the win here means big for him.

Overall a great show as usual; you really got the storylines out of this one, and got everyone's opinions across and in character as well, which is good to see from a booker. KOTR is looking like a blockbuster card, and I hope that it is built up even more in the coming shows. Good job, bro

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Raw
May 31, 2004

Raw opens with Eric Bischoff backstage with HHH and Chris Benoit. Tonight they have to battle an opponent of the other’s choice in the first ever Pick Your Poison match. It will start tonight and end next week. Since Benoit is the world heavyweight champion he gets to choose HHH’s opponent tonight and the stipulation. Next week Benoit will get to face an opponent selected by HHH as the game will decide the stipulation. He asks both men he wants no excuses, he wants to test both men before the KOTR ppv. HHH demands to know who Benoit has selected and what type of match it will be? Benoit selects HBK as HHH’s opponent for tonight and states that it will be a lumberjack match. Benoit mocks HHH and vows to make HHH quit at KOTR. He raises the belt in HHH’s face and walks off as HHH looks at Bischoff. The Raw video package plays and the announcers welcome us to the show.

The Rock and Randy Orton confrontration

The Rock’s music hits and the great one comes out to a massive pop and mega chants of Rocky Rocky Rocky from the fans. Finally The Rock has come back to MONTREAL Huge ovation from the fans. The Rock runs down Eric Bischoff for suspending him. He then runs down Evolution and now that he’s back he guaran-damn-tee’s that he’s going to whoop Evolutions ass. Rock talks about training Eugene and how he is going to become a star. Rock points out that he never had his title shot. He mocks Bischoff and says Bischoff has his head so far up Evolution’s ass. Eric decided to do the number #1 contenders a week before The Rock returned. Rock says last week Evolution all got their candy asses whooped by the great one and Chris Benoit. Rock states that he volunteers to be one of the lumberjacks for Chris Benoit tonight. Rock also declares that he’s entering the battle royal and he’s going to throw 29 jabronis over the top rope to get a title shot at Vengeance. Rock imitates some of the stars that are competing in the battle royal including Kane, Booker T , Rene Dupree. When Rock gets to Flair he gets interrupted by Randy Orton who comes down to the ring.

Orton looks at Rock and says The Rock should show some respect for legends like The Nature Boy Ric Flair, The Raw GM Eric Bischoff and the legend killer Randy Orton. Orton said he’s sick and tired of seeing The Rock trying to hog the spotlight and run down people on the mic. Rock always goes on about people running their mouth, well Orton claims that Rock and Chris Jericho have the biggest mouths in this business. Orton states that Rock has the biggest ego in this business, he should have been gone a long time ago but he was like Mick Foley who always wanted to come back for some cheap pop from these fans. He calls Rock a third rate movie star. He’s mad at Rock for sticking his nose in Evolution’s business last week, he’s mad at Rock for hitting him with the peoples elbow. Orton states that Rock never learned from his suspension, but now that he’s back he’s got to learn to live with the fact that he isn’t #1 contender anymore. Orton looks at Rock and tells him that he’s still the Intercontinental champion, the longest reigning IC Champ in the last 7 years. Orton vows to have an even longer reign than Rock had as Intercontinental Champion. Orton states that he’s in the King of the Ring now and his last accomplishment was retiring Mick Foley. He beat the so called Hardcore legend at his own game to become the ultimate legend. His next goal will be becoming the KOTR. Something The Rock has never won. Orton states that Rock is jealous of him because he’s more better looking, much more talented than the Rock and he’s already a much more bigger star than The Rock. Rock is now irrelevant and should go back to Hollywood. Orton says he’s the legend killer, he’s Randy Orton, he’s... The Rock cuts Orton off and says IT DOESN’T MATTER WHO YOU ARE.

Do you think the Rock gives a monkeys crap who you are. Rock says you run you’re mouth as if you think you’re better than The Rock, you’re no legend you’re just a punk ass kid who’s going to get his ass whooped by the most electrifying man in sports entertainment today THE ROCK. Orton points out that he already has a match tonight and he’s not here to fight The Rock, it would be beneath him to face a has been like The Rock. This really pissed The Rock off. Orton claims he has way more class than The Rock, he’s better than The Rock. Get a look at greatness Rock. Orton started boasting about his accomplishments so far in the WWE, he’s been here for 2 years and he’s already a legend. He killed the legend of Stone Cold at Survivor Series, a man who always dominated The Rock. Rock was once the youngest Intercontinental champion but at Armageddon 2003, Orton became the youngest Intercontinental champion. What Rock did he did even better. Then at WrestleMania, Rock decided to be Mick Foley’s saviour and Orton beat Foley and Rock and Sock lost. Then at Backlash he ended Mick’s career and now he’s going to make history at KOTR by walking in as Intercontinental Champion and leaving as The KOTR. He’s going to become the only man in history to enter the KOTR and win it as a champion. Orton claims that he’s going to break the Honky Tonk Man’s IC Title reign record. He will win KOTR and will go on to headline SummerSlam and become the world champion. He’s 24 years old and he’s accomplished a lot more than many of the guys in this business at such a young age. So much greatness he has achieved, he’s not even hit his prime yet. He wants the respect he deserves from each and every one of these fans. He wants them to stand up on their feet and respect Randy Orton because soon they will be bowing down to the next KING OF THE RING. He will fulfill his destiny by winning the KOTR. It's going to be Evolution's night and Flair is going to throw The Rock over the top rope in the battle royal.

The Rock reminds Orton that he whooped HHH’s ass at Backlash. Since HHH has an “I Quit Match” at KOTR, The Rock brings up the past and points out that 5 years ago he beat HHH in an “I Quit Match.” That was the first time HHH said “I Quit” and he’s going to say those same words at KOTR. Rock says you wanna talk about accomplishments, Rock gives Orton a huge list of his accomplishments. He talks about headlining WMS, multi time champion, Royal Rumble winner, tag team champion, selling out arenas plus much more. Rock said he was beating the hell out of Mick Foley and HHH in 1999 when Orton didn’t even hit puberty. Orton got pissed off with that comment. Rock says Orton calls himself a legend well that’s a load of monkeys crap. What Orton has done in 2 years is nothing compared to what Rock did in 2 years. Rock states that in his first match at Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden he was a sole survivor. He made history by becoming the youngest Intercontinental Champion.and then fans started to turn on him. he was hated and fans chanted die rocky die but he won the fans over. He went on to become the most electrifying man in sports entertainment today. Now the millions and the millions of Rock’s fans are now chanting his name... ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY. Rock continues on and states that during those 2 years he became the leader.... infact RULER of the nation, something Orton has not become in Evolution (tries to cause dissension). In 2 years of being in this company, Rock became the WWE Champion, something Orton has never done. Rock became the peoples champ. So next time when you interrupt the great one, JUST BRING IT BITCH because Orton you are three seconds away from a ROCK BOTTOM. ROCK HITS A ROCK BOTTOM ON ORTON. Rock’s music hits as he celebrates in the ring and gets an amazing ovation from the fans. Jim Ross says now that was truly electrifying.

Backstage The Rock meets Eugene and Regal. Rock tells Eugene that he’s been so impressed with Eugene, he’s a fan of his. The training he receiving from Rock and Regal has worked and Rock believes Eugene will be a star on Raw. He loved what Eugene did last week when he imitated Vince. The Rock asks Eugene if he wants to kick some ass tonight. Eugene gets excited and claps. Rock tells Regal he’s got this and Eugene is going to be one of the lumberjacks. Regal thinks this is not a good idea for Eugene to go down there later tonight and get involved in this sort of match as one of the lumberjacks. Eric Bischoff certainly won’t like this. Regal informs Eugene to listen to him and not The Rock. Eugene’s uncle Eric will not like to see Eugene go out there, he could get hurt. Regal wants Eugene to stay with him backstage to watch HBK vs HHH on the monitor. Once Eugene hears HHH’s name he gets excited. He wants to go out there later on because HHH and him are alike, they like to play games. Rock gives Eugene a high five as The Rock leaves.

Meanwhile Eric Bischoff is in his office with Coach talking to Teddy Long. Coach asks Eric what is he going to do about the Rock. Eric made Coach one of the lumberjacks for tonight and hoped that some of the lumberjacks beat the hell out of The Rock tonight. Long talks about the battle royal at KOTR. Maven is in it. He approached Maven last week and he’s yet to hear back from him but he will wait until KOTR. If he was managing Maven then Maven would go on to win the battle royal. Eric isn’t taking Long seriously here. Evolution storm into Bischoff’s office. Orton complains to Bischoff after what Rock just did. Orton was going to put his belt on the line tonight but after what just happened, he’s worried that Rock will come down and rob him of his goal of becoming the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time. Bischoff decides that Orton won’t defend his title tonight and it’s a non title match. Orton vows to make a statement tonight. Batista looks at Teddy Long and tells him that he wants to be tested tonight and wants to take on the guy Teddy Long wants to manage and that’s Maven. After he makes an example out of Maven, Long will probably decide to look for someone else to manage. Eric books Maven vs Batista for tonight. HHH whispers something into Bischoff’s ear. Bischoff says it’s a great idea, he approves this idea. Evolution leave and Long asks Eric is everything ok playa? Eric says he’s got everything under control.

Match 1
Tag Team Title Match
The World’s Greatest Tag Team (c) vs La Resistance

The match begins with Haas and Sylvan. Haas gets the early advantage at the start by taking Sylvan down with an armdrag and follows up with some holds. He makes a tag to Shelton who goes to work on Sylvan’s arm, WGTT exchange quick tags until Sylvan manages to tag in Conway. Conway runs into a clothesline by Shelton, he follows up with a dropkick. Conway comes back with a clothesline but Shelton ducks a second clothesline from Conway and droptoe holds Conway to the mat. WGTT continue to exchange tags and now Sylvan is in and he’s in trouble. The crowd are cheering for La Resistance here as this is their hometown. Anytime WGTT hit a move they get booed. Any time La Resistance hit a move they get cheered. Haas locks in the Haas of Pain on Sylvan and gets booed heavily and Conway breaks it up. La Resistance then take control and isolate Haas in the corner and perform double team moves. Chinlock by Conway and Haas tries to fight out of it and he does and takes down Conway with a back suplex. Both men are down and Haas makes the hot tag to Shelton and Conway tags in Sylvan. Shelton and Sylvan exchange rights with Shelton getting the upper hand. Shelton sends Sylvan to the ropes, back body drop from Shelton. Shelton goes for a spinning heel kick, Sylvan ducks and Shelton misses. Sylvan goes for a figure four and Shelton makes it to the ropes.

Sylvan tags in Conway. Conway went on the offensive hitting some stomps and kicks. Backbreaker by Conway. Conway sends Shelton to the corner, Shelton leapfrogs over Conway and rolls him up for a 2 count. The action goes back and forth with many near falls and now Haas is in the ring with Sylvan. Haas hits a german suplex and Sylvan kicks out at 2 . Haas tries for another one but gets elbowed in the face. Suplex by Sylvan. He goes to the top rope for a splash and misses as Haas moved out the way. Shelton is tagged in and stops Sylvan from making a tag. Shelton nails Sylvan with an insiguri and gets 2 only. He whips Sylvan to the corner and Stinger splash from Shelton. Shelton hits the exploder suplex but Conway distracts the ref. Haas runs in and starts brawling with Conway and the fight spills to the floor. The referee is trying to control the action outside. Shelton takes Sylvan to the top and looks for a suplex. Randy Orton runs down and gets on the apron and nails Shelton with the Intercontinental title. . Conway sends Haas into the steel post. Conway gets back in. The ref is back in as La Resistance hit the Au Revoir on Shelton. Sylvan covers Shelton for the 3 count 1...2....3. We got new tag team champions. The fans give La Resistance a standing ovation, Sylvan and Conway demand the belts to be handed to them right now. Rene Dupree comes down and celebrates with the new tag team champions. They raise their flags and pose with the titles and if it wasn’t for Randy Orton, this probably wouldn’t have happened.
Winners and new tag team champions La Resistance

Todd Grisham is standing by with HBK. Some of the Montreal fans have still not forgiven HBK. Michaels points out that the last time he faced HHH in a one on one match he kicked HHH’s teeth down his throat and beat him to become the # 1 contender for the world title. 2 weeks ago HHH hit him with the sledgehammer and went on to become the current #1 contender. HBK says tonight is the night for payback and he’s going to get his revenge on HHH. He is going to prove to HHH that he’s still the icon, the headliner, the showstopper and the main event. Michaels also points out that tonight is a good opportunity to see some of his competition in the battle royal at KOTR up and close. He’s going to give them a taste of what’s in store for them at KOTR. Then once he’s done with HHH tonight, then at KOTR he’s going to superkick 29 guys over the top rope to once again become the # 1 contender. Then at Vengeance HBK will once again become the world heavyweight champion.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler show some pre-recorded comments from some of the Raw participants that will be competing in the battle Royal at the King of the Ring. We first hear from Maven who talks about his comeback. Now that he’s back he's going to make an impact. When he wins the battle royal at KOTR, it will not be considered a fluke or upset. He eliminated The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble 2 years ago and vows to eliminate Taker again but this time in the battle royal at KOTR. Charlie Haas gives his comments on the battle royal. As this was pre-recorded Haas was still the tag team champion. Haas says it’s going to be a great night for the World’s Greatest Tag Team at KOTR. They will go into the ppv as tag team champions and he will walk out as the #1 contender for the world title and Shelton will leave as the King of the Ring.

Finally we hear from Ric Flair. Flair states that it’s all about Evolution and that it will be Evolution's night when HHH becomes the new WHC, and either Orton or Batista will become the 2004 WWE King of the Ring. Flair predicts that we will see an all Evolution semi final at KOTR. Then Flair claims that we will see another all Evolution match at Vengeance. That’s right, Flair vows to win the battle royal. It will be a big night for Raw as the Smackdown brand stands no chance. Not only will we see a King from Raw which will be an Evolution member, we will see a #1 contender from Raw and that's going to be him. Flair believes he still has one more run in him as champion and how it would be an honour to face his Evolution leader HHH for the World Heavyweight Championship. Now if somehow Benoit manages to beat the game, which Flair believes will never happen, then he will be the man to take the title away from Benoit at Vengeance. At KOTR it does not matter who he has to go through, even if it is The Rock or HBK or even The Undertaker, he will go through all of them because Evolution is your solution WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Match 2
Batista vs Maven

Batista at the start really gives Maven a beating and throws him around the ring. Batista delivers a suplex and Maven kicks out at 2. Batista whips Maven to the corner and runs into a boot. Maven goes to the second rope and hits a bulldog and goes for a cover and gets 2 only. Maven gets a few rights on Batista and knocks him down with a standing dropkick. He goes to the top rope and delivers a missile dropkick and Batista kicks out at 2. Batista reverses a whip and knocks Maven down with a vicious clothesline. Batista starts assaulting Maven in the corner. He sends Maven to the ropes, goes for a clothesline, Maven ducks and hits a dropkick on Batista. Maven goes to the ropes, tries a leapfrog but gets caught and spinebuster by Batista. Batista picks Maven up and drops him with the Batista Bomb. He refuses to cover Maven and wants one more. One more he we go and Batista hits another powerbomb. 1...2.. Wait Batista lets go. Final one. Jim Ross says just end this damn match and pin him Batista. Let the poor kid go. Batista goes for a final Batista Bomb and drops him hard to the mat. He places his foot on Maven’s chest. 1...2...3. It’s over. Pure dominance by the animal Batista. Batista is the odds on favourite to win the King of the Ring.
Winner: Batista

Earlier on Sunday Night Heat, Eugene defeated A-Train in a match. Trish Stratus is arguing in the back with A-Train. She calls him an embarrassment, he lost to freaking Eugene. She berates A-Train for not protecting her. A-Train tries apologising but Trish isn’t listening to him. If there is one mistake Christian made was hiring A-Train as their bodyguard. She rips into him and calls him useless and said maybe he should have stayed on Smackdown. She’s really disappointed in him and told him his services are no longer required. From now on she’s going to get what she wants, Trish walks off and A-Train seems disappointed.

Elsewhere La Resistance are celebrating backstage with Rene Dupree. Rene Dupree states that now that they have the tag team titles, it is now his goal to win the battle royal at KOTR. Then he will go on to beat the world champion whoever it is at Vengeance.

Match 3
Non Title Match
Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton

Chris Jericho comes down first and gets a great ovation from the fans. Next week all the KOTR participants will be on Jericho’s highlight reel. Randy Orton comes out next and this is a non title match. The bell rings as they lock up. Jericho takes Orton down with an armdrag. Orton then gets a wrist lock on Jericho who gets out of it and takes Orton down with an armdrag. Lock up again and Orton gets a knee to the gut. He tries throwing Jericho out but he skins the cat back in while Orton has his back turned and he’s posing. Orton turns around and Jericho starts hammering away Orton. Jericho whips Orton to the ropes and delivers a high back body drop. He sends Orton to the ropes again and nails him with a running forearm. Jericho starts delivering some knife edge chops to Orton in the corner but Orton grabs the ropes. While the referee is trying to restrain Jericho, Orton nails Jericho with a right hand and delivers a swinging neckbreaker. He goes for a cover and Jericho kicks out at 2. Orton then takes control by assaulting Jericho, using rest holds to slow Jericho down. He applies a chinlock and the fans start a Y2J Chant. Jericho gets back up to his feet and tries elbowing out of it. He does and goes to the ropes but Orton catches him in a sleeper but Jericho counters into a back suplex. He goes for a cover and Orton kicks out at 2. Suplex by Jericho and Jericho goes for a cocky pin by posing and Orton kicks out at 2. They end up brawling outside and then go back in again. Spin kick by Y2J. Jericho goes to the top for a crossbody but Orton nails Jericho with a dropkick, what a move from Orton. He goes for a cover and gets 2 only. Orton gets a modified backbreaker and gets a near fall.

Orton whips Jericho to the corner and runs into an elbow by Jericho. Running bulldog by Jericho. Jericho goes for a lionsault but Orton gets his knees up. He goes for a cover and gets another near fall. Jericho reverses a whip and gets a reverse elbow knocking down Orton. Drop toe hold by Jericho into the ropes and Jericho drives his knee into Orton’s back. Jericho whips Orton into the corner. He then takes Orton to the top and delivers a superplex off the top rope. Both men are down. Jericho gets his arm across Orton and goes for a cover and Orton kicks out at 2 . The action continues back and forth until Batista comes down and starts watching the match at ringside. Orton distracts the referee and Jericho notices that Batista is there. He’s on the apron and goes for an axe handle but Batista catches Jericho and drives him into the post. He rolls Jericho back in and Orton gets a 2 count. Orton goes to the top rope turnbuckle and hits a crossbody on Jericho and gets a near fall. Jericho reverses a whip and gets a sunset flip on Orton who kicks out at 2. Springboard dropkick by Jericho and gets another near fall. Running insiguri by Jericho and Orton kicks out at 2 . Jericho misses a charge into the corner as Orton dumps him to the floor. Orton distracts the referee while Batista stomps away at Jericho and then sends him back in. Orton starts stomping away at Jericho in the corner and then starts posing. Uppercut by Orton.

Orton is now taking his time, he’s got this match under control. Scoop slam by Orton and follows up with a knee drop. Orton waits to Jericho to get back to his feet and looks like he’s going to put away Jericho with the RKO. Orton goes for the RKO but no he gets thrown down by Jericho. Jericho locks in the walls of Jericho. Orton is screaming in pain as Jericho applies the pressure. Batista gets on the apron to cause a distraction and Jericho breaks the hold. Jericho and Batista talk trash. Wait a minute Shelton Benjamin runs down and starts fighting with Batista and sends Batista into the post. He’s got a good reason to be out here after what Orton did earlier on. Jericho goes over to Orton and goes for the walls of Jericho but this time Orton rolls him up and gets 2 . Clothesline by Orton. Shelton gets on the apron and talks trash with Orton. Orton turns around and Jericho nails him with the CODE BREAKER What a move. Jericho goes for the cover 1...2..3. Jericho wins. Jericho and Shelton celebrate inside the ring as Orton rolls out the ring and retreats to the ramp with Batista. Jericho and Shelton taunt Batista and Orton that Evolution’s chances in the KOTR look slim. After this big victory Jericho along with Batista has got to be one of the favourites in this tournament. Lawler is now unsure who will win and says whoever wins out of Jericho and Batista at KOTR will go all the way and become the KOTR. Great tv match and one of the best raw matches of the year and we still have the main event to come later on.
Winner: Chris Jericho

In the back HHH and Flair calm down Orton and Batista. HHH fires up Orton and Batista. Jericho got lucky and Batista will kick his ass at KOTR so Orton doesn’t need to worry about that. As for that punk Shelton, now that he doesn’t have the tag titles around his waist, he stands no chance in winning the KOTR because he will be stopped by the legend killer Randy Orton. HHH wants Orton and Batista to deal with Jericho and Shelton later on in the lumberjack match as it is their chance for revenge.

Match 4
Womens Title Match
Victoria (c) vs Trish Stratus

Trish comes out to a great ovation. She cuts a promo and she’s glad to be back in her country but she starts dissing the fans and says Toronto is a much better city than Montreal. Trish states that a guy like Chris Jericho is not a hero over here in this country but Christian is. She dedicates this match to her boyfriend Christian and she wishes him a speedy recovery. Trish mentioned that she got rid of A-Train earlier on because he’s useless and she doesn’t need him. Trish says it’s about time she gets what she wants and the women’s division will pick up again. The women’s champion Victoria comes down.

The divas lock up and Victoria gets a take down on Trish. Victoria sends Trish into the corner and runs into an elbow by Trish. Roll up by Trish and Victoria kicks out at 2. Trish sends Victoria to the ropes and hits her with a reverse elbow to the face. Victoria reverses a whip and hits a clothesline on Trish. Suplex by Victoria and Trish kicks out at 2. Backslide by Victoria and Trish kicks out at 2. Trish gets frustrated and goes for a right hand and Victoria ducks and starts delivering some rights on Trish. She whips Trish into the corner and runs into a boot by Trish. Trish starts kicking away at Victoria. She dumps Victoria to the floor and starts posing in the ring. Victoria is back in and Trish is in control. Trish applied a chinlock. Victoria fights back but Trish grabs Victoria by the head and slams her down hard and yells in her face. Trish goes for a suplex, Victoria blocks and gets an inside cradle and Trish kicks out at 2 . Victoria hits Trish with a clothesline and then delivers a standing moonsault and Trish kicks out at 2. Victoria goes for a clothesline, Trish ducks and rolls Victoria up for a 2 count. Trish goes for a chick kick, Victoria blocks and clotheslines Trish. Victoria goes for the widows peak, Trish slips out and rolls Victoria up for a 2 count. Trish goes for the stratus faction but Victoria throws her off. She goes up to the top for a moonsault but Trish moves out the way and Victoria misses. Trish goes for a cover and Victoria kicks out at 2. Victoria kicks Trish in the face and Trish gets knocked over through the middle rope. Eugene comes down and the referee starts counting. Eugene checks on Trish to see if she’s ok. He tries to lick Trish’s face and Trish freaks out and rolls back in and Victoria rolls her up for a 3 count to retain her title. Victoria celebrates and Trish just can’t believe it. Victoria leaves.
Winner: Victoria

Trish Stratus and Eric Bischoff in the ring with Eugene and William Regal

Post-Match Trish is furious. What a mistake Trish made earlier on, she got rid of A-Train and now this results in a loss here in her home country. She throws a tantrum in the ring. Eugene gets in to make it up to her by giving her a hug. Trish acts as if she’s going to hug him. She slaps Eugene across the face. Eugene is very upset and the fans boo Trish. Bischoff comes down and calls out William Regal to the ring right now. Regal comes down. Trish wants Bischoff to punish Eugene. Eric apologises to Trish and berates Regal and Eugene. Eric told Regal that he can’t leave Eugene out of sight. Eugene just interfered in the match of the greatest diva ever. He scolds Regal and then scolds Eugene. He told Eugene not to do that again. He deserved that slap from Trish. Bischoff tells Eugene he’s sending him home right now and he’s not going to come back until William Regal gets it right. He wants Regal to civilise Eugene. Regal says he can’t do that, he is not like us. Bischoff shouts at Eugene and tells him to leave. Eugene is upset and leaves and waves goodbye to his fans as the fans boo the hell out of Bischoff. Regal starts following Eugene. Bischoff is still shouting at Regal as Regal is on the ramp. Bischoff wants Regal to teach Eugene the ways of civilised life and wants results next week. Just like he told him a few weeks ago when he trained Eugene, he eventually got it right. So this time he has a new task and he has to civilise Eugene. He gives Regal 1 week. By next week if Eugene does not learn any manners, if he’s not wearing a suit like himself and Regal then he’s sending Eugene home for good. As for Regal he knows that Regal is still injured and can’t compete in the ring yet. However he will put him back on the active roster as a WRESTLER. He will force Regal to compete in difficult matches if Regal does not do the right thing. Regal seemed concerned as Bischoff left with Trish. Lawler thinks Eugene got what he deserved. Jim Ross thinks Bischoff is just being unfair, the fans love Eugene.

A clip is shown of WrestleMania 20 when Benoit made HHH tap out. Another clip is shown when HHH pinned Benoit in a tag team match. With so much at stake at KOTR, which superstar will say “I Quit?”

William Regal scolds Eugene in the back and blames him for getting him into this mess. From now on he has to listen to him. Eugene is very sorry for this and makes a sad face. They get stopped by THE ROCK. The Rock says woah woah woah woah woah... Eugene isn’t going nowhere. He isn't going home, the WWE is Eugene's home. Regal tries to stop and pleads with him because he will be punished by Bischoff. He is already suffering so much abuse from Eric, he hates looking after Eugene but he has too because of his job. He demands The Rock not to interfere in his business. The Rock tells Regal to know his role and shut his mouth. Rock tries to convince Regal that Eugene loves Regal, he sees him as a good friend. The people love Eugene and he wants Eugene to go out there and kick some ass. Rock reminds Regal that they did a great job in training Eugene. He guaran-damn-tee’s that soon Regal will start to like Eugene and Eugene will become Regal’s best friend. Regal laughs it off and says are you bloody mad, Eugene his best friend. This nincompoop my friend? Rock assured Regal once Regal starts hanging out more with Eugene he will realise how special he is. Rock leaves with Eugene who says bye Mr Regal as Regal looks on. Regal still seems concerned and it looks like now Regal is going to be in major trouble by Eric Bischoff.

SummerSlam Press Conference
Toronto June 1, 2004

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announced today that this year’s SummerSlam ppv will take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Sunday August 15. It will be the biggest SummerSlam of all time. For the first time ever, SummerSlam will be a 4 hour event. Joining Vince at the press conference were several WWE superstars such as Triple H, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Edge, Trish Stratus, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, Jim Ross and Torrie Wilson. McMahon said the WWE and its Superstars are excited to be bringing SummerSlam to Toronto. This marks only the second time that SummerSlam has been held outside of the United States -the first time was in 1992 when the event was held in the UK. Tickets for the event go on sale on Saturday June 5.
Since WrestleMania 20 was a 5 hour event, I’ve decided to give SummerSlam a WrestleMania style show and it will be a 4 hour show. The aim is to make this the biggest SummerSlam of all time packed with mega matches.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Review

I loved RAW, awesome RAW by far, probably your best RAW show by far

Benoit making the announcement that for the first ever Pick Your Poison Match, Benoit is making HHH go up against HBK as a way to soften him up for King of the Ring and that he will make HHH quit, what a statement to make

Rock and Randy Orton confrontation I loved it a whole lot, especially the ending with Rock hitting Orton with a Rock Bottom to end the segment, really great segment especially with their back and forths with each other

Rock backstage with Regal and Eugene, also love that too

Teddy Long and Maven in Bischoff's office and then Orton & Batista & HHH & Flair come barging in, it seems Teddy really wants to manage Maven so badly, and then Bischoff making Maven vs Batista for later on, I loved it, and after what happened to Orton just now with Rock he isn't happy at all, and who could blame him?

La Resistance becoming the new World Tag Team Champions especially in their hometown of Montreal, Quebec where they are getting cheered, what a special way for them to win, and especially in front of friends & family, and now that WGTT have lost their titles, I guess that means we can see these 2 have singles careers now

HBK, Maven, and Flair talking about how they are going to win the Battle Royal and throw out 29 other guys to go to Vengeance and become the new #1 Contender, I loved it, as they are hyping themselves up to be favorites for the battle royal

Batista beating Maven, definitely shows that Batista is ready for KOTR and that he could be the odds on favorite to win it all

Trish fires A-Train as her bodyguard, that is a good move for Trish to make because ever since he has become hers & Christian's bodyguard he hasn't done a good job of protecting her or Christian for that matter, and now that she has ditched him, only good things can happen for Trish now

Rene Dupree celebrating with his stablemates and now saying how he is in the Battle Royal, he plans on going to KOTR and throwing 29 other guys over the top rope to win it all and go on to Vengeance to face the World Heavyweight Champion whoever it may be, and that it does not matter to him who wins at KOTR, but that he is going on to that Battle Royal, Dupree is another favorite to win it

Jericho beating Orton, great match all the way through

HHH trying to fire up both Batista and Orton, and that in the Lumberjack match will be their chance for revenge, I love it

Victoria beating Trish to retain her WWE Women's Championship, I must say that I am surprised at this, definitely was going for Trish in this match but Victoria still the Women's Champion shows that her reign is no fluke

The whole Trish-Regal-Eugene-Bischoff segment I loved that too

The Lumberjack Match with HHH and HBK I also loved it too as Michaels won, as it keeps HBK fresh and ready for King of the Ring, HBK is one of the favorites to win the entire match, and he has experience in battle royals with winning 2 Royal Rumble matches in 1995 and 1996 back to back, so he should be the favorite to win the KOTR battle royal, and then the heels and Evolution trying to jump HBK after the match only for the faces and Benoit to come to HBK's rescue, and Benoit locking HHH in the Sharpshooter and then Orton making the announcement for Benoit's Pick Your Poison match for his leader, and Flair with a Woo to cap it all off, was awesome, and how Evolution will be at ringside for this match next week

All I have to say about RAW is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Ric Flair's catchphrase, Woo about sums up this whole RAW, it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eddie Guerrero calls out Edge to the ring

Tazz and Michael Cole welcome us to the show. Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero walks down to the ring. Eddie wastes no time and demands that Edge comes out to the ring right now. Edge comes out on the stage and gets a mixed reaction. Eddie says why don’t you come down to the ring and lets settle this man to man. Come on holmes this is your hometown, are you going to show all these fans that you’re a coward? I promise you holmes i won’t lay a hand on you. Edge comes down and the first thing he does is run down his own Canadian fans. He is appalled at the reaction from his hometown fans. Eddie chants starts and Edge starts covering his ears. He threatens to walk out and Eddie says he will get the fans to chant the goodbye chant. The fans start the chant anyway and Edge starts leaving. Eddie mocks him and calls Edge a chicken. Edge is furious and comes back in and gets booed. Edge says this is the reason why Canada is more backwards than America because they are cheering a Mexican over a Canadian icon like Edge. Edge brags about his team getting a victory over Eddie’s team last week. Tonight in his hometown he will not be humiliated because he is going to beat Eddie when they meet later on in a tag team match. He wants the Toronto fans to look at their next WWE Champion. Edge thinks Eddie has damaged the prestige of the WWE Title. Eddie brings up points on how he used to have a lot of respect for Edge. He even considered him a friend but now they aren't friends in fact they never will be friends again because at KOTR he’s going to be give Edge the biggest ass-kicking of his life esse. If Edge thought that Kurt Angle could be the only one to put him on the shelf, then guess again holmes because he will do more than just beat Edge, he’s going to break Edge’s neck all over again. Edge starts laughing and says well since we won’t be seeing Kurt Angle for a long time he reminds Eddie what Kurt’s fate was when he messed with the wrong guy. The result was he ended up in a hospital and we haven’t seen him since.

Edge talked about his own neck surgery and how he battled back from it and now he’s not going to let anyone do that to him again but since he came back he’s hurt a lot of people. He reminds Eddie what he did to Rikishi and now we will never see Rikishi in the WWE again. He’s going to show Eddie a side of him that he’s never seen before, he’s going to do whatever it takes to win the WWE Title. Edge says his only addiction is his obsession of becoming champion. Edge brings up Eddie's past in that he is a former addict. Unlike Eddie he has never had to hide behind drugs to escape his problems but that Edge deals with his problems head on as a man. Edge claims that Eddie is not a man but nothing but a snivelling excuse for a champion. A coward while Edge is a true champion and isn't afraid of anyone or anything. Eddie brings up the fact of all of Edge’s recent attacks on Eddie. He also brings up the fact that yes Latino Heat is not perfect, he’s made mistakes but at least he’s not ashamed of who he is. Can you say the same Edge, turning on your friends, letting obsession take you over esse? You turned on a friend who was also one of my best friends in an attempt to get to the top. Eddie Guerrero got to the top by working his way up overcoming his addictions. By becoming a better man all these fans are now behind him supporting him to get him where he is. Eddie chants. Edge is getting sick of the chants and states that after removing all obstacles in his path, from now on he’s become an ultimate opportunist. Whenever there is an opportunity, he seizes it. He is a predator. He takes advantage of a situation and uses it to his advantage to make sure it suits him or benefits him. After the appalling treatment he got from these fans he doesn't give a damn anymore about the fans or about anybody except Edge and being WWE Champion. Now nothing will get in his way of beating Eddie Guerrero and becoming WWE Champion.

Eddie fires back and states this is what makes him different than Edge. Eddie loves to go out there and entertain the fans, put in 110% and give it his all. He puts his body on the line, busts his ass to entertain the fans. Eddie gets fiery and says holmes he lost a lot of blood at Judgment Day against two monsters but kept his title. It’s gonna take a lot from Edge to put away Latino Heat, he’s going to shatter Edge’s dream at KOTR. Edge fires back and says If you thought Kane scared your family, your wife, kids, and your mother, then Eddie what I am going to do to you right in front of your own family is going to seem tame in comparison. He wants Eddie to bring his family over at KOTR so they can personally see Eddie get his ass kicked. At KOTR Eddie’s going to find out what real pain is because at KOTR he will make his bitch. Eddie’s controlling his latino temper and he could explode any moment. Eddie replies back and says you know what holmes i promised you that i wouldn’t lay a hand on you..I LIED. Eddie explodes and delivers some right hands on Edge. Edge comes back with some right hands of his own, the two come to blows with Eddie getting the upper hand. Wait a minute Booker T runs down and attacks Eddie. Booker hits the axe kick on Eddie. Eddie staggers back to his feet and gets speared by Edge. Edge wants Booker to bring in a chair, if Edge nails the con-chair-to on Eddie we won’t be having a tag match tonight. Booker hands a chair over to Eddie. Wait a minute Rey Mysterio is back looking for payback. Mysterio grabs the chair and nails Edge with the chair. He nails Booker across the back with a chair. Edge and Booker T retreat up the ramp as Rey helps Eddie up. Rey and Eddie stare down Edge and Booker and they will be facing each other tonight in our main event.

Paul Heyman is on the phone with Eric Bischoff. Heyman is looking forward to seeing the Smackdown Stars humiliate the Raw stars this coming Monday on Raw on the Highlight Reel. Then on next week's Smackdown show the Smackdown stars will defeat the Raw stars in an 8 man tag match. Eric fires back and says dream on Paul that's not going to happen. The Smackdown stars should be lucky to be on Raw. If it was down to him he wouldn't even have them on Raw but because of Mr McMahon they have been invited to Raw. Paul tells Eric even though he hates John Cena, he's a better champion than Raw's Randy Orton. Smackdown's JBL would make a better host than Chris Jericho. They argue back and forth until Paul hangs up on Eric. Dawn Marie is in the back with Paul and thanks him for giving Paul London an opportunity at the cruiserweight title.

Match 1
Cruiserweight Title Match
Tajiri (c) vs Paul London

Cruiserweight action. Paul London comes out first with Kidman and Dawn Marie. Tazz informs us that Dawn asked Paul Heyman to grant London or Kidman a title match tonight. Dawn flipped a coin and London won the toss to get the title shot tonight. Tajiri comes down with Kyo Dai members Funaki and Akio to ensure that Kidman and Dawn don’t get involved here. This was a great high flying cruiserweight match which went back and forth with lots of near falls. Tajiri dominated at the start by delivering some vicious kicks to London. London came back with some kicks of his own and connects with a drop sault to take control of the match. Spinning heel kick by London and Tajiri kicks out at 2. Tajiri reverses a whip and delivers a handspring elbow to knock London down. German suplex by Tajiri and London kicks out at 2. Suplex by Tajiri. Springboard moonsault and London moves out the way. London whips Tajiri to the ropes and connects with a springboard clothesline, he goes for a cover and Tajiri kicks out at 2. London whips Tajiri to the corner and runs into an elbow. Tajiri locks in the tarantula but London escapes and lands on the apron. Sunset flip by London and Tajiri kicks out at 2. Kidman and Dawn try to get involved in the match but Akio and Funaki stop them from getting in the ring. Tajiri and London go back and forth countering holds until Tajiri runs into a boot by London. Insiguri by London. London goes up to the top rope for a 450 splash here we go and London misses. Tajiri gets up and nails London with the buzzsaw kick and pins him for the 3 count to retain the cruiserweight title. What a match up. Kyo Dai celebrate in the ring.
Winner: Tajiri

Backstage Chavo Guerrero doesn’t understand why he has not been considered for a cruiserweight title shot tonight. If there is anyone that should be first in line for a title shot then it’s him. He doesn’t want to be a loser like them. He runs down several other face cruiserweights including Akio and Funaki who failed him at Judgment Day. Chavo proclaims that he’s the man that will end Tajiri’s reign. He is the biggest threat to Tajiri. Not only is Chavo a former cruiserweight champion but he was also the previous champion before Tajiri. He’s yet to receive his rematch. He’s been watching Tajiri in action and he is indeed impressive but if you want to see something special then check out Chavo Guerrero who will be in action later on.

Footage is shown from the SummerSlam press conference. SummerSlam for the first time ever will be a special 4 hour event and it will be held in Toronto Canada.

The Smackdown divas and two monsters

Tazz is in the ring with Smackdown’s hottest divas Stacey Keibler, Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie. Tazz congratulates Torrie for being on the cover of the May issue of the divas magazine. Tazz shows the cover of the magazine. Tazz asks the fans who deserves to be on the cover for this month’s magazine. Stacey says she wasn’t here last week but she’s going to give the fans what they missed out on. Stacey starts showing off her body. The fans give Stacey the best reaction. Dawn protests and claims that she is way hotter than Torrie and Stacey. She is the number #1 diva on Smackdown and has the hottest man on Smackdown. Torrie and Stacey start laughing at her. Torrie thinks Val Venis was the past and he’s not what he used to be. Stacey says Val can’t even rise to the occasion just like he couldn’t win the US Title. They make fun of Val but say ok Dawn he’s not that bad but he’s not their type. He's bald but at least he’s not ugly like Kane who is bald and ugly. He is hideous and should put his mask back on but then again with his mask he’s still ugly. Stacey and Torrie think John Cena is the best looking guy on the Smackdown roster. He is twice the man that Val or Kane will ever be. Suddenly Kane’s music hits as he comes down to the ring with Mordecai and Paul Bearer. Dawn Marie bolts out of the ring and into the crowd and leaves. Kane tells Tazz to get the hell out of the ring. Tazz gets out of the ring. Torrie and Stacey are scared to death and Kane gets inside the ring and Paul Bearer yells at the divas and says how dare you talk like that to my son and nephew. Son, nephew, get them. Kane and Mordecai cornered the helpless divas in the corner. Kane gives his sinister laugh and says he once had dreams but they never came true. He hates to see people living out their dreams. Since he lives in nightmares and has yet to achieve his dream, he is going to become a nightmare for them. Kane says when people make him angry he does bad things, bad things that hurt people. What Torrie and Stacey just said about him make him very angry.

Kane looked a terrified Torrie in the face and said is she afraid of him. Is she afraid. Torrie says yes she is now please let her go. He tells both divas that their mouth says something but their eyes say something else. Kane states that he knows all about pain and suffering. What calms him down is by making others suffer. He yells in their faces and asks them are they afraid of him. Do they realise how much pain he has suffered, yet they come out here to rub salt in his wounds and talk about success and how Kane looks. They made fun of him and that makes him burn inside. Mordecai starts speaking and calls Torrie and Stacey one of the biggest sinners on Smackdown. What they are wearing, what level they stoop too, everything about them is wrong and for this they will have to pay the ultimate price. He condemned them for their sins and condemned the audience for enjoying the acts of Stacey Keibler and Torrie Wilson. He wants them to suffer for every bit as much as they did. Kane does his signature taunt and the ring posts are on fire and Mordecai burns the divas magazine which had Torrie on the front cover. Kane says tonight they are going to make a statement. They hunger for a sacrifice and it will start right now. Kane grabs Stacey and he’s about to hit the tombstone while Torrie pleads with Mordecai for Kane to let go. Kane shows some compassion and pretends to let Stacey and Torrie go. Stacey manages to get out of the ring but Mordecai goes after her and brings her back in. Kane lifts Torrie up and drops her with the tombstone. Stacey is horrified as Hurricane and Shannon Moore run down. Stacey goes in to check on Torrie. Kane and Mordecai destroy the tag team champions. Then they target Stacey but wait John Cena runs down the ramp for the save. Kane and Mordecai assault Cena and Kane hits Cena across the face with the urn as Mordecai holds onto Stacey. Kane does his signature taunt as Cena and Torrie are motionless in the ring. Kane decides not to tombstone Stacey and they decide to take Stacey with them to the back. Officials attend to Torrie, Cena is now up on his feet and goes to check on Torrie. Cena is mad.

In the back Cena cuts a promo on Kane and vows to beat the hell out of Kane for what he did to Torrie. He promises to free Stacey from Kane’s clutches tonight.

Backstage Dawn Marie enjoyed what just went down because Stacey and Torrie got what they deserved. She was sensible to get out of there as soon as possible. She hopes Paul takes no action on Kane. Paul says after what Kane just said and did he must be crazy to take action on Kane. He is not going to get involved in Kane’s business whatever he does tonight. Now he’s going to sit back and relax tonight and not get involved in any business.

Match 2
Chavo Guerrero vs Rhyno

The bell rings as Rhyno and Chavo lock up. Rhyno starts hammering away at Chavo with some rights. He whips him to the ropes and delivers a back body drop. Clothesline by Rhyno. Rhyno goes for a shoulder tackle and Chavo ducks and sends Rhyno to the floor. Rhyno is back in and now Chavo is in control. Suplex by Chavo and gets a 2 count only. Chavo got a decent amount of offense until he whips Rhyno to the corner and goes for a charge and runs into an elbow. Rhyno gores Chavo and pinned him for the 3 count to win the match. Rhyno makes quick work of Chavo and after the match Chavo throws a tantrum in the ring.
Winner: Rhyno

Kane, Mordecai and Paul Bearer lock Stacey in a dark room where she is held captive in. She pleads with them to let her go. Kane plays with her hair. Paul Bearer tells her to shut up and listen to Kane. Kane looks at Mordecai and says imagine this cousin, if Torrie and Stacey said nice things about them then maybe they wouldn’t be in this current position. We could have seen two beautys going out on a date with 2 monsters. Kane, Mordecai and Bearer all laugh. Kane tells Stacey he’s not going to harm her, he’s not going to be her boyfriend either because their worlds are different. She lives a normal life while him and Mordecai are monsters. He starts to freak Stacey out and demands to know why she thinks he is hideous. Stacey said she didn’t mean it, she only said it to annoy Dawn Marie. Kane says don’t lie to us because if you do, me, my cousin, and my father might just torture you in ways that you can't even possibly begin to imagine. Her looks will not be the same, her pretty face won’t be so pretty anymore. Mordecai says Torrie already paid for her sins earlier tonight but Stacey’s punishment is a fright night here with two monsters. Kane yells at her and says how does it feel Stacey to be here with two monsters, that’s what you get for making fun of us. After tonight Stacey you may not be left in any condition to be on the cover of ANY magazine. Kane laughs and Stacey screams.

Match 3
John Cena and Rob Van Dam vs Matt Hardy and John Bradshaw Layfield

JBL’s music hits as he comes down without the limo as he walks down to the ring with a mic. He runs down the Toronto fans and brags about how great America is. He didn’t want to come out in his limo because he doesn’t trust the Canadian fans. They could have vandalised his limo, they could have done anything stupid and this is why they are one of the worst fans in the world. He gets booed heavily. JBL claims that he wouldn’t have made it this far if he didn’t backstab his former partner Farooq. If he was still stuck with him then he would have never been successful. He did the right thing and look at where it’s got him. The same can not be said for RVD his opponent at KOTR. He was not smart enough, while his partner Booker T was. He did the right thing to move ahead. He wanted to fulfill his goals just like JBL will at KOTR when he goes through RVD. RVD held Booker T down just like Farooq held JBL down and where has that got Farooq now, no where because he’s unemployed because JBL ran him out the WWE. That’s how you become successful, that’s how you move forward in life. JBL claims that he’s the most in form participant heading into the KOTR. JBL shows the fans a clip of how great America is. The Canadian fans are booing the hell out of JBL now. They show a Bradshaw sucks sign and he wants the sign removed immediately.

He gets cut off by Matt Hardy’s music as Matt Hardy comes out. RVD comes down next followed by Cena and Cena is not in a good mood tonight. Cena's mind is on somewhere else. RVD’s already arguing with Cena here, last week Cena dropped him with the F-U. They need to work together tonight and be on the same page. Cena wants to start this off. Cena and Hardy start it off. Cena dominates at the start by delivering some right hands to Hardy. Hardy comes back with a knee to the gut and delivers a neckbreaker on Cena. Cena kicks out at 2. Hardy tags in JBL who starts kicking Cena in the face. JBL sends Cena to the ropes and Cena comes back with a shoulder tackle. Cena sends JBL to the corner and runs into a boot. Swinging neckbreaker by JBL and Cena kicks out at 2. Suplex by JBL and another kick out by Cena. JBL sends Cena to the corner and runs into an elbow and Cena knocks JBL down with a clothesline. Cena tags in RVD who runs in and takes JBL down with a spin kick. RVD sends JBL to the corner and delivers a monkey flip. RVD goes to the ropes and connects with a rolling thunder. He goes for a cover and Hardy breaks up the pin. RVD goes to the ropes but JBL catches him and drops him with the last call. Now JBL takes control and makes quick tags with Hardy. They isolate RVD in the corner.

RVD comes back and makes a tag to Cena. Cena and Hardy go at it, Cena misses a charge and Hardy rolls Cena up for a 2 count. Hardy hits the side effect and Cena kicks out. Cena ducks a clothesline and delivers a back suplex. Throwback from Cena. Cena sends Hardy into the corner and tags in RVD. RVD starts delivering some kicks to the chest of Hardy. RVD lands a spin kick right to the face of Hardy. RVD goes to the top for a frogsplash but JBL goes over and knocks RVD down. Cena tries to get in but the referee restrains him. Hardy tags in JBL. Mid-way into the match RVD is taking a major beating from JBL and Hardy. JBL is now in and he has RVD in a sleeper hold. RVD chants begin and RVD is up on his feet and elbows out of the hold and goes to the rope but Hardy nails RVD from behind. JBL delivers a suplex and tags in Hardy. Ricochet by Hardy and RVD kicks out. Hardy goes to the top rope for a legdrop and misses. RVD makes the hot tag to Cena who runs in and knocks down Hardy with a clothesline. JBL is in and Cena knocks JBL down with a right hand as JBL rolls out of the ring. Cena hits the five knuckle shuffle on Hardy and Hardy kicks out at 2. Cena picks Hardy up for the FU and drops him with the FU. Suddenly Kane appears on the screen and this time he is alone with Stacey. Stacey screams for help. Kane told Cena if he wants some come get some, he will be waiting for him in the parking lot. Kane laughs as the screen goes blank. Hardy rolls up Cena from behind for the 3 count to win the match. While Hardy celebrates in the ring. Cena rolls out of the ring and doesn’t care about losing and runs to the back. Hardy and JBL celebrate and taunt RVD. Matt Hardy and JBL are on a roll heading into KOTR.
Winners: Matt Hardy and JBL

In the back John Cena is in the parking lot looking for Kane but he’s not there. He finds Stacey and frees her only for Kane to ambush Cena from behind. Kane chokeslams Cena on top of a car and smiles. Kane looks at Stacey and Stacey runs away. She escapes from Kane but Kane doesn’t care, he just laughs and leaves. He’s caused enough damage tonight and after tonight Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler will never be the same again. Cena is hurt bad as you can see the hood of the smashed car. What condition will Cena be in for this coming Monday on Raw?

Backstage Rey Mysterio is standing by with Josh Matthews. Rey says Booker T and Edge got what they deserved earlier on. Last week he was taken out of the main event by Booker T but tonight he’s going to go out there with Eddie and they will defeat Edge and Booker. Just when Rey’s about to give his thoughts on the battle royal, he gets interrupted by JBL. JBL cuts him off and says interview time over amigo. It’s time for the next KOTR to talk as he didn’t finish off what he had to say earlier on. JBL start talking about the highlight reel on Raw and Rey is offended that JBL just disrespected him. Mysterio thinks JBL is not worthy of being King. JBL fires back and states that he doesn’t understand why Rey is competing in the # 1 contenders match at KOTR when he should be competing for the cruiserweight title instead. JBL reminds Rey that he destroyed 4 international cruiserweights at Judgment Day and if Rey was also involved in that match then he would have also made quick work of Rey.

JBL proclaims that unlike Rey, JBL is a real American. He is proud of being one, while all you Mexicans that come into the WWE are nothing more than immigrants who are coming in just to get a green card. None of you especially you Rey Mysterio deserve to be here in the WWE. If he were running America, he would make sure people like Rey would never be allowed in. Rey takes shots at JBL saying he is proud to be Mexican and that he is a Mexican that is here to stay. JBL warns Rey and tells him to get out of his face. Rey takes JBL’s hat off and throws it. JBL shouts how dare you disrespect the next King, you go right now and pick that hat up and hand me that hat. Rey smiles and walks off. JBL jumps Rey from behind and both men start brawling. Officials come and break up the fight.

Match 4
The Undertaker vs Val Venis

Val Venis comes down to the ring with Dawn Marie. Val brings up his loss against Cena but he’s going to make up for it by winning the bigger prize, the WWE Title. He sends a message to everyone else in the battle royal it does not matter who he has to go through, if that be The Rock, Ric Flair, HBK, Booker T, Rey Mysterio, etc. it doesn't matter, he’s going to throw them out. Val Venis will go on to the Great American Bash to face whoever the champ is after KOTR for the title. Once he does that, you are looking at the next WWE Champion. Tonight he’s going to make a statement and challenges any Smackdown superstar who’s involved in the battle royal to a match RIGHT NOW. The lights go out and the dong strikes as The Undertaker’s music hits. It looks like Taker has accepted Val’s challenge. Dawn is terrified and goes outside the ring. Val tries to talk Undertaker out the match and tells him that when he said anyone, he didn’t expect The Undertaker to be here. He didn’t know that Taker was a participant in the battle royal. So Val decides to postpone his challenge till next week. Val decides to leave and Taker grabs Val on the apron and chokeslams Val back in.

The referee rings the bell as Taker starts stalking Dawn near ringside. Val gets on the apron and nails an axe handle on Taker. Val and Taker start brawling outside and Undertaker rolls Val back in. He’s on the apron and delivers a guillotine legdrop across Val’s throat. Taker is really taking it to Val here. Taker misses a charge and Val takes Taker down with a Russian leg sweep. Val starts working on Taker’s knee and puts his knee on the ropes. Val jumps on Taker’s knee trying to take out the dead man. Val whips Taker to the ropes but Taker grabs him by the throat. Val gets a knee to the gut and delivers a DDT. He goes for a cover and Taker kicks out at 2. Val gets a good amount of offense in this match until he misses with the money shot. Taker sits up and goes old school on Val. He delivers a flying clothesline and then follows up with Snake eyes and then a big legdrop and gets a near fall. Undertaker delivers a chokeslam. Taker signals for the tombstone and Dawn gets on the apron. The referee orders Dawn to get down as Undertaker turns his attention to Dawn and creeps her out. Val delivers a low blow from behind. He goes for a cover and Taker kicks out. Val whips Taker to the corner and runs into a boot. DDT by The Undertaker. Here we go tombstone time, he lifts Val up and delivers a tombstone. It’s over. Wait a minute the lights are out. Now the lights are back on and Mordecai is in the ring and the referee is knocked out. Mordecai hits a chokeslam on The Undertaker. Mordecai then plants The Undertaker with his own finisher the tombstone piledriver to send a statement to the phenom that Mordecai is here to stay.

Mordecai drags Val Venis' unconscious body on top of The Undertaker. The lights go out again and when they come back on Mordecai is gone. Dawn Marie revives the referee and the ref makes the pin 1, 2, 3. Val Venis wins, what an upset. That is a huge victory for Val Venis. Dawn helps her man up to his feet as they leave.
Winner: Val Venis

The lights go out again and now they are back on and Mordecai and Paul Bearer are in the ring assaulting The Undertaker. Paul Bearer slaps The Undertaker in the face. Mordecai gets a mic and yells in Undertaker’s face that every sin The Undertaker has committed he will be punished for. All he sees now is a broken down man, not a phenom. You will be condemned to hell to live in eternal suffering Undertaker. Mordecai is your worst nightmare. Paul Bearer yells in Taker’s face that Taker is not powerful anymore. All he sees is fear in Undertaker’s eyes. Tonight they have sent a message to everyone that they cannot be stopped and they have struck fear into the hearts of the Smackdown superstars. Now that they have the possession of the urn, The Undertaker has no power and now all the creatures of the night will answer to them. Paul states that at KOTR, Undertaker doesn’t have to worry about 27 guys, what he should be worrying about is Kane and Mordecai and soon Undertaker you will Rest In Peace. Mordecai drops Taker with the crucifix powerbomb and Mordecai mocks Undertaker by kneeling down on one knee as Paul Bearer raises the urn. Paul Bearer and Mordecai leave and they have caused havoc on Smackdown tonight. Michael Cole says if there was anyone that could have stopped these monsters then that is The Undertaker. Now that The Undertaker can’t stop them, no one can.

We get an update on Cena’s condition, Cena is being attended to in the back. Tonight has been out of control and Paul Heyman has done nothing to keep his stars under control tonight. Will action be taken on Paul Heyman or is this another way of Paul Heyman to punish certain stars?

Backstage Booker T and Edge think of a way how to get back at Eddie and Rey. Edge says he has no problem with Booker at all, they are quite similar to each other. They were far superior than their partners , they wanted to make an impact because they were held down by their partners. Now they are eyeing the big prize because they are smart. Booker agreed. He looked at Edge and told him he may be looking at the next WWE Champion or may not be. He didn’t care who wins between Edge and Eddie at KOTR because at the KOTR he’s going to throw 29 sucks out the ring. Then he will go on to The Great American Bash to win the WWE Title. So if it is Edge who wins, he’s going to cut his reign short. Edge laughs it off and claims that he already holds a victory over Booker T at WrestleMania 18 and history will repeat itself at the Great American Bash. Now can you dig that Booker. Booker looks at Edge and says tell me you didn’t just say that. Edge leaves.

Paul Heyman is in the back and mentioned that he enjoyed what Mordecai did earlier to The Undertaker. He rewards him with a title match next week. He announces Eddie Guerrero vs Mordecai for the WWE Title next week and also states that The Undertaker will face Edge next week. What a double main event for Smackdown next week. Plus we also have the Raw KOTR participants vs The Smackdown KOTR participants next week in an 8 man tag team match.

Main Event
Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio vs Edge and Booker T

Booker T comes down to the ring first followed by Edge who is not getting a good reaction from his hometown fans. Eddie and Rey come out together. Eddie whips Edge to the corner and runs into an elbow by Edge. Clothesline by Edge. Edge and Booker start double teaming on Eddie while the ref didn’t see it as he prevented Rey from getting in the ring.

Eddie comes back into the match by making the tag to Mysterio. Mysterio takes down Booker T with a headscissors, springboard hurracanrana to Edge knocks Edge outside the ring. Mysterio and Booker are taking it to each other. Booker misses a side kick and Rey rolls him up and Booker kicks out at 2. Eddie is tagged in and Booker tags Edge in. Big brawl in the ring and the ref gets accidently knocked down. Edge and Eddie brawl outside the ring. Mysterio traps Booker into the ropes. JBL runs down to the ring. Here we go 619 time but JBL gets inside the ring and delivers a clothesline to Mysterio. JBL throws Rey outside the ring and whips him into the steel steps and leaves and gets booed heavily. The ref is back up on his feet and now Eddie is by himself. Eddie and Edge fight near the corner and Edge has Eddie now on the top turnbuckle. Eddie knocks Edge down and he’s going to hit the frogs splash but Booker moves Edge out the way and Eddie misses. Booker T hits Eddie with the scissors kick. Booker tells Edge to pin him but wait Edge sets up for the spear as Eddie staggers back up to his feet and Edge knocks him back down by delivering a spear. Edge covers Eddie for the 3 count to win the match. Edge and Booker celebrate in the ring and now it’s a 2 on 1 assault on Eddie. Mysterio recovers as he is now on the apron trying to get back in but Edge knocks him back down with a baseball slide dropkick. Booker hits Eddie with the Bookend and then holds onto Eddie as Edge nails Eddie with the WWE Title. Edge holds up the WWE Title in the air as Booker stares at Edge and then looks down at Eddie. Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

I loved it, great action-packed edition of Smackdown especially the opening segment with Edge and Eddie Guerrero and Edge getting booed in his own hometown, I thought he would get cheered instead of booed, but nonetheless I love that because Edge said he doesn't care about his fans or anybody else and now he is an ultimate opportunist, and then him attacking Eddie with Booker T coming out of nowhere only for Rey to make the save, can we say Tag Team Match for later on tonight

Paul Heyman-Eric Bischoff phone segment backstage once again, I loved it, as funny as always, and then Dawn Marie thanking Heyman for London one of her boys to get a WWE Cruiserweight Championship match, loved it

Tajiri retaining his title against London, loved it as it keeps him as a serious champion and he is being booked to look that way and then Chavo backstage after Tajiri's match, he wants his title back

The Smackdown divas and monsters segment I loved it, especially Kane and Mordecai abducting Stacy Keibler and Kane planting Torrie with a Tombstone Piledriver, and Moore & Hurricane coming to at least save her only for them to be destroyed, and then Cena wanting Kane

Dawn Marie is happy about Torrie and Stacy's misfortune, I can't say I'm surprised

And Rhyno beating Chavo, I loved it

Kane, Mordecai, and Paul Bearer all with Stacy Keibler in a dark room holding her captive, I loved it

Hardy and JBL beating Cena and RVD gives them momentum coming into RAW, but Cena I don't think he cares about the match, what he cares about is Kane and Stacy Keibler

Cena attacked by Kane backstage and Kane chokeslamming Cena on top of the hood of that car, Cena is definitely injured now

Rey Mysterio and JBL backstage segment I loved it especially JBL attacking Rey

Val Venis in a shocking upset win, that's awesome, that can only mean big things for Val in the future, and Mordecai sending a message to Taker after the match was awesome, and Paul Bearer adding insult to injury, that was great

Edge and Booker backstage interaction I loved it

Next week it is going to be Undertaker vs Edge, and it is going to be Eddie Guerrero defending his WWE Championship against Mordecai, I cannot wait for next Smackdown, it will look like a great Smackdown

And the main event what I loved the most was JBL interfering, and then Edge and Booker beating the hell out of Eddie and Rey trying to recover to help Eddie but only to get destroyed again, is great

Overall great Smackdown and I cannot wait for RAW!!!!!!! The Highlight Reel is going to be so great!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

WWE Raw
June 7, 2004

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel featuring all the 8 King of the Ring participants.

The announcers welcome us to the show as Raw opens with Chris Jericho’s highlight Reel. All the King of the Ring participants are in the ring as Jericho welcomes everyone to the Highlight Reel. Y2J Chants start and Jericho asked all his Jerichoholics who will win KOTR? A lot of boos for every heel he names especially JBL. As for the faces Shelton gets a decent reaction, RVD and Cena get a great reaction and Jericho gets the best reaction from the fans. Jericho talks about his achievements and adds that he was the first ever undisputed champion in the WWE. He’s the most decorated star in this tournament but just like all of these guys in the ring he’s yet to win the KOTR tournament. He knows what it takes to be the heavyweight champion because he's been there before and none of them have. He vows to win the KOTR and will go on to become champion in his country at SummerSlam. He looks at all of them and asks what makes them think they have a shot at winning KOTR this Sunday. He starts with his opponent at KOTR Batista. Big staredown between Batista and Jericho. Batista says after he’s done with Jericho this Sunday then Jericho won’t be running his mouth any longer. Batista talks about how he is going to go on to win the KOTR and that he should be a favourite. I mean look at him, he is an animal, a beast. His sheer power and strength alone will be enough for him to beat all the other 7 superstars in the tournament. That even includes Randy. If that means he has to go through Orton to get to the final and then go on to win then that is what he will do because 2004 is the year of Batista. He hands the mic back to Jericho who moves onto Orton. Orton brags about him being a 3rd generation superstar and that he is also the IC Champion. He looks at RVD and reminds him that he beat him for the IC Title. He claims he’s a better champion than John Cena. Orton then goes on how he killed the legend of Mick Foley and now he is on the biggest roll of his career. It does not matter who he has to go through even if it is his own teammate Batista, he will win the King of the Ring. He is not vowing to win, he is guaranteeing it. You are looking at the next King of the Ring winner, Randy Orton Legend Killer. Orton poses and Shelton Benjamin grabs the mic off Orton and Shelton runs down every person in the tournament. Shelton says he’s a darkhorse, the underdog in this tournament. He may have little experience in singles competition but now that he’s here, he’s going all the way to win the tournament. He is going straight to the top, so there ain't no stoppin me now!!!

Matt Hardy then talks about how he is on a roll since going to Smackdown. He calls RAW the minor leagues and Smackdown the major leagues. Hardy makes fun of Eric Bischoff who thought Hardy didn’t have what it takes to be a star. He punished Hardy by having Batista destroy him in a match but Hardy claims now it has changed. He hoped that Batista gets to the final so he can give him a lethal dose of Mattitude. Orton holds Batista back from trying to get to Hardy. Hardy says it doesn't matter who he beats at KOTR even if it happens to be you Jericho. All that will matter is that you are looking at the next KOTR winner Matt Hardy Version 1, and everyone will officially have to become a Mattitude follower. Now moving on to RVD. RVD reminds Jericho that he beat him in the Semi Finals of the last KOTR tournament and then went all the way to the finals which none of you have. Even though he lost he has what it takes to be in KOTR and especially to go all the way in the tournament. It doesn't matter who he goes through to get it because you are looking at the next KOTR winner R-V-D. JBL interrupts RVD and says he’s been hearing all these people talk and it makes him sick. None of them have the qualities to be King and that even includes you legend killer. If anybody is going to win KOTR, it is going to be JBL. He’s richer than all of them, he’s the most in form participant going into KOTR. He is going to win KOTR and will go on to headline SummerSlam and become WWE Champion. He guarantees victory and then people will have to chant King JBL, King JBL, and he continues to say it over and over again. Only to be interrupted by Batista who says that if you don't stop saying that, I might just tear your head right off. Batista proclaims that he’s going to win because he is the most dominant out of everybody in the ring in terms of his power and his strength. Only to be interrupted by Orton who quotes The Rock it doesn't matter what you people think or what anyone else thinks for that matter because you are looking at the next KOTR. Jericho takes the mic off them and turns his attention to John Cena who’s been silent all this time. Cena’s not in great condition especially after that chokeslam he took from Kane on the car on Smackdown. John Cena said that he’s not in a great mood tonight but he’s gonna make this short and sweet. After what happened to him on Smackdown, if anyone thinks he has no chance then they are definitely wrong. Cena vows to kick Kane’s ass on Smackdown. Then he’s going to take out his frustrations out on everyone by going all the way to win the KOTR. Cena then cuts a rap promo on all the participants and disses them.

He hands the mic back to Jericho and now Jericho says since you’ve all given your reasons now it’s time for the host to speak up. Now Jericho hurls his insults. Jericho first hurls insults Batista's way by saying how Batista isn't an animal but he sure as hell looks like a constipated version of an animal. He states that Batista is powerful but he is nothing more than HHH's whipping boy. He does nothing more than take orders from the rest of Evolution and this Sunday he’s going to tame the animal Batista. He moves onto Orton by saying how everything Orton has done has been nothing short of a fluke. Even though Mick Foley lost against Orton, Foley will always be better than Orton. Orton can not be called legend killer because he couldn’t beat the legend of Chris Jericho last week, Orton can’t even beat the legend of The Rock. Jericho guarantees that we won’t be seeing an Evolution semi final because Orton and Batista won’t be making it to the Semi Finals. Jericho then turns his attention to JBL and laughs. As JBL likes to run his mouth, he certainly didn’t get to talk as much tonight junior because Y2J is the host of this show. He calls JBL a poor imitation of The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase mixed in with a country hick cowboy whose only claim to doing anything is being a tag team partner of Farooq. JBL is simply a jack ass. Jericho says he could beat JBL any day of the week. Should JBL end up facing Jericho in the finals then Y2J will beat his country hick ass junior. Jericho moves onto Matt saying he’s shocked that Matt Hardy even made it in the KOTR. He talks about how Matt Hardy doesn't even deserve to be on the Highlight Reel. I mean who can honestly see Matt Hardy as a King of the Ring winner, no one can. All the heels are furious. Then Jericho runs down the faces such as Cena, Shelton, and RVD. Y2J states that he respects them all. However should he go through any one of them to become King of the Ring, he will do it. Then after Y2J wins KOTR all of you will neverrrrrrrrrrr eveeeeeeeer be the same again because Y2J is the King of the World baby!!!!!!! Then a huge brawl ensues. The faces and heels brawl and the faces dump the heels out of the ring. Eric Bischoff comes out on the stage and tells them to stop right now. He states that since we are going to have Raw vs Smackdown this week on Smackdown, we will also have an 8 man tag tonight on Raw. If they wanna fight they will tonight. He books Jericho, Shelton, RVD and Cena vs Hardy, Batista, Orton and JBL in an 8 man tag match for later on.

Footage is shown from the SummerSlam press conference. SummerSlam for the first time ever will be a special 4 hour event and it will be held in Toronto Canada.

Backstage La Resistance are in Bischoff’s office. They complain about defending their belts tonight against not one team but two teams. This is their first title defence and they aren’t even prepared how fair is that. Eric informs them that they are a great team and this is the chance for them to prove why they are the best tag team on Raw. Rene asks for a match tonight against any Raw star competing in the battle royal at KOTR. Eric grants Dupree his match and tells Rene he sees a lot of potential in him. If he wants to make an impact tonight then this is his chance because he will face Shawn Michaels. Dupree liked his decision and thanks Bishoff.

Lita is in the back and bumps into Trish. Lita asks Trish so after all that big talk, Trish didn’t win the womens title and now what is her excuse? Trish informs Lita that they have a match tonight and she’s going to take her frustrations out on Lita. Trish believes Victoria is lucky to still be champion because she had her beat last week but Eugene got involved. Eric Bischoff then taught Eugene a lesson and now Eugene is not going to mess with Trish Stratus. Lita says it’s about time she shut Trish up. She’s going to beat Trish tonight and then Lita should be the one who should be considered for a title shot. Trish says we will see about that and she walks off.

Match 1
Tag Team Title Triple Threat Match
La Resistance (c) vs The Dudleys vs Chuck Palumbo and Johnny the Bull Stamboli

The match begins with D-Von, Chuck and Sylvan all in the ring at the same time with the heels double teaming on D-Von. Chuck lands a few punches on D-Von. Backbreaker by Chuck, he goes for a cover and Sylvan breaks it up. Then Chuck and Sylvan go at it. Sylvan gets dumped to the floor and Chuck and D-Von go at it with D-Von on the early offensive making a tag to Bubba. The Dudleys hit the Wazzup headbutt on Chuck. Sylvan tags in Conway who takes Bubba down with a clothesline. Conway and Chuck go at it. Chuck drops Conway with a few clotheslines and a back suplex. Conway ducks a kick and delivers a neckbreaker on Chuck. He goes for a cover and Bubba breaks it up. Chuck tags in Stamboli. Stamboli delivers a powerslam on Bubba. He goes for a cover and Conway breaks it up. Now Conway and Stamboli go at it. Conway hits a DDT and Chuck breaks up the pin. Conway gets a double clothesline from Chuck and Stamboli. Stamboli missed a splash from the top rope. Conway delivers an elbow drop to the back of Stamboli’s head. Bubba breaks up the pin. This match was quick as the ref had a hard time keeping up with the action as all teams got involved by saving their partners from a pinfall. The match ended when La Resistance hit the Au Revoir on Bubba to win the match. Good win for the champions as they begin their defence of the titles with a victory over two teams.
Winners: La Resistance

The heel KOTR participants argue in the back over who the team captain should be for tonight. JBL says he’s a born leader so everyone should follow his lead. Hardy disagrees and since he was a leader they should be his Mattitude followers for tonight. Orton says since he’s champion it should be him. Batista says since he’s the most powerful they should all listen to him, any objections? Everyone shuts up and it looks like Batista is the team captain.

A long skit of shown of William Regal’s adventures with Eugene. We find out what Regal got up to this week with Eugene. He took him out to places where he tries to civilise Eugene. He makes Eugene meet different people, he takes him to offices and other important places. Then he shows Eugene clips of one of Eugene’s favourite legends Kamala when Slick tried to civilise Kamala. The Kamala bowling skit is shown. Regal then takes Eugene to a clothes shop where he makes Eugene try on some suits and this isn’t working as Eugene is giving everyone in the store a hard time. Now Regal takes Eugene to the barbers. First of all he wants Eugene to get a haircut and have a shave. Eugene thinks of Brutus the Barber Beefcake and he ends up shaving the barbers head bald and this is completely going wrong. Once the skit ends William Regal is in the back talking to Eugene who’s hiding. Regal scolds Eugene for not listening to him last week and he’s really given him a hard time this week. Eugene says he had a lot of fun though but Regal says the fun is over. He wants him to come out and show his face, don’t be shy. Eugene comes out and he’s wearing a ridiculous suit which he hasn’t worn properly. Regal says oh my goodness you can’t go like that to Uncle Eric. Coach shows up and laughs at Eugene. Regal says Coach you wouldn’t be laughing if you were in my position. Coach says he’s got to tell Eric Bischoff about this and Coach leaves and Regal is concerned.

Match 2
Trish Stratus vs Lita

The match starts with Lita taking down Trish with a few clotheslines and takes it to Trish in the early going. Lita hits a head scissors and starts delivering some kicks to Trish in the corner. Trish gets a thumb to the eye and then takes over. Trish drops Lita face first onto the ring apron and then hit a running bulldog and Lita kicked out at 2. They exchange holds, reversals and counters. More back and forth action ensues. Lita misses a moonsault from the top rope and Trish covers Lita and Lita kicks out at 2 . Trish can’t believe it. Lita ducks the Trish kick and delivers a suplex and Trish kicks out at 2. Trish wins the match when Lita tries a rollup but Trish reverses the pin and holds on to the ropes to pin Lita for the 3 count.
Winner: Trish Stratus

William Regal is in the back with Eugene and Eugene needs to go to the toilet. Eugene accidently goes into the womens toilet and we see some divas coming out screaming. Regal apologises but he actually ends up bursting out with laughter to see the reaction of the divas. Regal asks Eugene did he enjoy that? Eugene starts clapping and laughs.

HHH/Benoit confrontation in the ring

HHH comes down to the ring and he’s in a great mood tonight. He told the fans that they don’t have to wait any longer now because next Monday Night on Raw will be a historic night. Not only will we have a King from Evolution, not only will we have a #1 contender from Evolution but most importantly the world heavyweight title will be coming back to the game. He told the fans to capture those moments on camera because they will get to witness the greatest professional wrestler alive today coming out to Raw next week as world heavyweight champion. HHH talks about how he has conquered almost every match, he has beaten the best at their own game. No man has made Benoit say I Quit but he’s going to be the first to make him say I Quit. As for tonight he’s going to referee a match between two guys who think they are better than him but aren’t even in his league. HHH sends a message to Rock and Benoit that it’s Evolution’s rules tonight, if they break their rules then they will suffer the consequences. He’s the referee so they can’t put their hands on him. HHH sarcastically promises to call this match down the middle. Chris Benoit comes down to the ring and stares HHH right in the eyes and holds up the world title. A mic is handed to Benoit. Benoit laughs off what HHH just said and he doesn’t believe a word that HHH just said about calling the match down the middle. Benoit knows that the odds are stacked against him and Rock tonight. He knows that this is HHH’s final opportunity to break Benoit down because at KOTR, he will have no back up and it’s his final chance. So this is why HHH booked this match last week to soften up Benoit. Benoit told HHH to be a man and call the match tonight down the middle. Benoit says it’s an honour to face The Rock. He’s not had his opportunity yet against him for the title and he deserves a match. However HHH made it a non title match. Benoit wants to prove that just like he can beat HHH and Shawn Michaels, he can also beat The Rock. Benoit reminds HHH that Rock beat him at Backlash. When Rock was champion, he couldn’t beat him but now that he’s champion he believes that he can defeat The Rock.

HHH asked Benoit how have the last 6 months been on Raw because next week he won’t even be on Raw, he’s going straight back to Smackdown. HHH told Benoit that in January, Benoit jumped to Raw and came to the big leagues. He stuck his nose in HHH’s business and then went on to become champion at WrestleMania. For 3 months Benoit has held the title beating all challengers but he hasn’t beaten the game one on one. HHH told Benoit to enjoy it, cherish all those moments because tonight will be his last night on Raw. He’s going to crush Benoit’s dreams. All this hard work will go to waste. He’s stepping in the ring with the game, the man who ends dreams. Once he ends Benoit’s reign, his reign will certainly be forgotten. He doesn’t want Benoit to do a farewell speech next week, whatever Benoit wants to say he says it right now because there will be no excuses after KOTR. Benoit tells HHH that he’s going nowhere. He states that HHH is right that there will be no excuses when he makes HHH tap out again. Then the next night on Raw, he will still be on Raw while HHH can’t come down and complain and ask for another title shot. This is final for final, the final encounter. If HHH blows it, then he’s going to have to wait a very long time till he receives another world title shot. Benoit says HHH seems very confident but he will break his confidence at KOTR. It’s going to take a lot from HHH to make Chris Benoit say I Quit. They go nose to nose and HHH says the world title is his life, he’s going to do whatever it takes to win back his world heavyweight title. Benoit says the world title may be your life but i have your life in my hands. At KOTR you’re in for the match of your life, you’re in for the most important match of your life and most importantly HHH game over. HHH is furious as Benoit’s music hits as he raises the belt over HHH’s face. Benoit taunts him that he will see him later on.

Backstage Coach tells Bischoff what Regal and Eugene have been up to. Bischoff was furious and some of the divas barge in the office and complain to Eric what just happened. Eric is furious. Regal shows up with Eugene. Regal and Eugene wave at the divas and Regal ends up getting a slap for it. Coach laughed and Eric Bischoff is really fed up with Regal for failing to control Eugene. Eugene starts yelling and tells his uncle he doesn’t like to wear these clothes, he doesn’t want a hair cut and a shave. Regal tells Eric what Eugene did at the barbers. Regal actually starts finding it funny when he mentions that Eugene gave the barber a haircut. Eric doesn’t find it funny. Eugene starts taking off his suit and starts trashing the office and runs around the office as Coach tries to stop him. Eric Bischoff shouts at Regal. He tells him to get Eugene out of here right now because it seems like Regal did not get the job done. He has failed him, Eugene is still a lunatic. Therefore he's putting Regal back on the roster and his first match back in action is this Sunday at KOTR. Regal was confused and Eric says Regal is going to be competing in the battle royal. He hoped that Regal gets taught a lesson in this dangerous match which involves so many superstars. Bischoff also states that if Eugene wins the battle royal this Sunday then he will free Regal from his duties from Eugene. If Eugene doesn't win then Regal will have to be stuck with Eugene forever. Regal leaves with Eugene who waves bye at his Uncle Eric. Regal is furious.

Match 3
8 Man Tag Match
Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, John Cena and RVD vs Batista, Randy Orton, Matt Hardy and JBL

The beginning of this match starts off with RVD and Batista in the ring, collar and elbow tie up with both men locking up. He tags in his Evolution teammate Randy Orton who gets into the match and begins to go to work on RVD with rights and lefts. Standing dropkick on RVD and RVD kicks out at 2. Orton and Batista exchange quick tags and Orton is back in going to work on RVD. RVD is trying to get a tag to one of his teammates but Orton seeing that coming isolates RVD. Then Orton gets into the ring, and turns Cena around and hits the RKO on Cena. Cena is down. Jericho tries to get in but the ref stops him and the heels assault Cena in the corner. RVD knocks JBL over to the floor with a spinning heel kick. He bounces off the ropes and takes JBL out with a diving somersault plancha. Cena and Batista fight outside the ring. He sends Cena into the steel steps. Big brawl outside the ring. Matt Hardy goes for the twist of fate but Shelton counters to knock Hardy down. He hits a t-bone suplex and pins Hardy for the 3 count. The match is over.
Winners: Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, John Cena and RVD

Shelton celebrates and following the match Orton jumps Shelton from behind. Shelton knocks Orton out the ring with a spinning heel kick. Shelton taunts Orton to get in. He goes to the ropes and takes out Orton with a dive. Batista and Jericho brawl now inside the ring. Spine buster by Batista. Batista hits the Batista Bomb on Jericho and celebrates in the ring. He's the only man standing in the ring and looks like the clear favourite to win this tournament. Batista goes to check on Orton and leaves with Orton.

HHH in the back with Evolution as HHH gives Orton and Batista some encouraging words about the KOTR tournament. To move forward in life they’ve gotta seize that opportunity. They are at that stage in their career where they are achieving greatness. By winning the KOTR, it will really elevate their career. HHH refers back to the time when he won KOTR 97 and it changed his career. He asks Randy who did he beat to become KOTR and Randy laughs and says it’s the man who’s career he ended at Backlash, Mick Foley. HHH breaks kayfabe and refers back to the curtain call incident when he was punished. He had to wait a year and finally seized the opportunity and became KOTR. He wants Orton and Batista to emulate his success and become KOTR. It doesn’t matter who wins, when Evolution succeeds i succeed or vice versa. He believes in Orton and Batista and wants them to dominate the tournament. HHH then discussed the main event for tonight with Evolution playing key roles at ringside.

Match 4
Shawn Michaels vs Rene Dupree

Rene Dupree jumps Michaels before the bell as Rene immediately starts out beating on Michaels. The bell rings and Dupree takes it early to Michaels but Michaels comes back and lands some knife edge chops on Dupree. Michaels is in control for the early part of the match but Dupree comes back as he catches Michaels with a knee lift. Michaels celebrates in the ring and HBK is one of the favourites for the battle royal this Sunday at King of the Ring.
Winner: Shawn Michaels

Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross run down the card for KOTR. Lawler picks Batista to win KOTR, Jim Ross can't make his mind up but rates Batista as the favourite.

Eric Bischoff is on the phone with Paul Heyman and mocked Paul’s Smackdown KOTR participants. Raw’s Shelton Benjamin just pinned Smackdown’s Matt Hardy tonight what does that tell you. This is why he doesn’t keep losers like Hardy on Raw. Bischoff predicted that an Evolution member will win KOTR. He told Paul to get ready because this week on Paul Heyman’s show, his Smackdown stars are going to be humiliated by his Raw stars when Raw meet Smackdown this week on Smackdown. Paul fires back and said this was not Raw vs Smackdown but on Smackdown this week, Raw will be defeated. Then at KOTR a Smackdown star will become king. Eric laughs it off and told Paul he can’t wait to see Raw get one over Smackdown again. He talks about the battle royal. He mentioned that Smackdown may have 3 monsters in Undertaker, Kane and Mordecai but they won’t win the battle royal or either will any other Smackdown guy because a Raw guy will be winning the battle royal to become the #1 contender. Eric then said that he will give Paul a consolation prize. After HHH becomes champion at KOTR, Benoit will then have to leave Raw and Paul Heyman can have Benoit back. Eric hangs up on Paul.

Coach interviews The Rock backstage. Coach starts making fun of the Rock but Rock cuts him off and mocks Coach. He kicks Coach from behind and Coach leaves. The Rock’s looking forward to his match against Benoit. Even though it may not be for the title, Rock says he’s going to beat Benoit like he has in the past. Then at KOTR he will throw 29 jabronis out of the ring and will win the battle royal to become the # 1 contender. Then at Vengeance he will become the world heavyweight champion. Then runs down Evolution and he knows that Evolution are up to something but if they screw The Rock over tonight then he’s going to give them an ass whooping they will never forget. If ya Smellll what The Rock is Cooking. Here we go the match is up next.

Main Event
Non Title Match
Chris Benoit vs The Rock
Special Guest Referee HHH, Guest Time Keeper Ric Flair, Guest Ring Announcer Randy Orton and Special Enforcer Batista

Evolution come down to the ring first and Orton has a mic with him and does the introduction for Evolution. He introduces HHH as the next world heavyweight champion. The Rock comes down next as he stares down Evolution. HHH is in the ring and he’s already talking trash to The Rock. HHH has the referee shirt on and reminds Rock that Rock can’t touch him. Benoit comes down next and looks over at ringside to see all Evolution members staring him down, taunting him and The Rock. HHH has a smile on his face and goes over the rules and plays mind games by checking to see if Benoit and Rock are playing by the rules, just to check incase they have something illegal on them. The bell rings and here we go. The match starts off with a handshake between Rock and Benoit. Collar and elbow tie up as both men lock up. They are countering each other's holds until Benoit takes Rock down by the legs trying to lock in the Sharpshooter. The Rock knew what was coming spins out of it and fights out of that predicament. Both men are beating the hell out of each other mounting on top of each other hitting rights and lefts on each other until Triple H the referee gets involved. He tries to break it up telling each of them that he is the referee so they can't put their hands on him. Then Benoit whips Rock off the ropes and Rock bouncing off the ropes hits a huge lariat like Clothesline on Benoit. He goes for a cover and Benoit kicks out at 2. HHH is surprisingly calling this match down the middle as the referee. The Rock gets in HHH's face trying to intimidate him talking trash like how only The Rock can. Then out of nowhere Benoit from behind The Rock hits a huge German suplex on The Rock which sends The Rock out of the ring rolling out of the ring and to the outside of the ring. HHH and Benoit argue in the ring while Batista goes over to The Rock and he picks up The Rock and throws him back into the ring. Benoit then goes over to The Rock and picks him up trying to deliver his Triple German Suplexes. Benoit hits 2 of them and on the third The Rock counters into a german suplex of his own. He pins Benoit and he kicks out at 2 .

Rock taunts HHH right to his face and Orton gets up from his seat for a second and Rock seeing Orton taunts him too. The Rock is setting up for the Rock Bottom early but Benoit knowing what's coming elbows his way out of it. He goes for the Crippler Crossface and is about to lock it in but Rock counters into a Greco roman throw. The Rock whips Benoit into the corner, goes for a corner clothesline but runs into a boot by Benoit. Snap DDT and Rock kicks out at 2 . Now Benoit gets in HHH’s face and HHH warns him to get on with the match. Benoit then waits for Rock to get up and Rock seeing Benoit coming. He throws Benoit over the top rope and out on to the floor. Batista on the outside throws Benoit back into the ring. Surprisingly here Evolution are allowing Benoit and Rock to take it to each other. Mid-way into the match, The Rock takes control of this match by really taking it to Benoit. He locks in a rear naked choke hold. Rock switches gears and sets Benoit up for the Sharpshooter in the center of the ring. Rock has it locked in and HHH the referee is taunting Benoit while he is locked in the hold. HHH starts laughing and taunts Benoit that he’s going to quit this Sunday. Benoit is struggling to fight it, he's trying not to tap, but Rock sees that HHH is taunting Benoit. Rock breaks the hold and gets into HHH's face and HHH taunts The Rock. Good sportsman ship by The Rock. Rock turns around into Benoit who gives The Rock his own finisher The Rock Bottom. Rock kicks out at 2 . Benoit can't believe it and neither can HHH. Orton gets out of his announcers seat as he wants to watch the match now from ringside and takes a seat next to Flair. Benoit then gets into HHH's face trying to intimidate HHH saying you will quit this Sunday talking trash to HHH. Then Rock gets up and while Benoit is still in HHH's face. Rock from behind turns Benoit around and locks in the Crippler Crossface on Benoit using Benoit's own move against him. Rock has it locked in in the center of the ring, will Benoit tap out to his own move? He’s trying to make it to the ropes but Batista pulls the rope back and HHH is laughing. Benoit is about to tap out but Benoit rolls out of it on his back and tries to pin Rock 1...2...Rock just kicks out.

Benoit delivers some knife edge chops to The Rock in the corner. He whips Rock to the ropes but Rock catches him with an elbow to the face. Rock whips Benoit off the ropes and tries to Spinebuster Benoit but Benoit counters with a ddt and both men are down. Both men get up to their feet and Rock comes charging at Benoit for a clothesline but Benoit dumps him to the floor. Benoit goes to the top and goes for the flying headbutt to The Rock on the floor. Rock moves out the way and Benoit hits the floor. Batista starts stomping away at Benoit and now Orton starts stomping away at The Rock. They send both men back in. Both men have been taking it to each other in this match. Benoit goes for another suplex, Rock elbows Benoit in the face and drops him with a DDT. Here we go peoples elbow time. Rock goes for the peoples elbow but wait Orton pulls the ropes down and Rock falls outside the ring. Orton yells in Rock's face and taunts him. He yells that he is the legend killer and Rock is a has been like Mick Foley. Rock is now on the apron trying to get back and Benoit suplexes Rock back in. Benoit takes the Rock down for the crossface. Will Rock tap. HHH then pretends that something is in his eyes and Benoit lets go off the hold. He gets in HHH’s face and taunts him. Flair gets on the apron and taunts Benoit who goes over to Flair. Flair gets off the apron, Benoit turns around and gets pedigreed by HHH. The Rock is up on his feet and he hits the Rock Bottom on Benoit. He pins him for the 3 count to win the match. The Rock wins. What a match up, a match of the year candidate. Immediately Evolution jump in the ring and assault The Rock and Benoit. Orton lays out Rock with an RKO to add insult to injury. Flair picks up Benoit and hands him over to Batista who hits the Batista Bomb on Chris Benoit. HHH puts the crossface on Benoit and Batista holds Benoit’s arm to make Benoit tap to add further insult to injury. If this is Benoit’s last night on Raw then it’s certainly not a memorable one. HHH goes outside of the ring to get the World Title. He gets back into the ring to celebrate with Evolution as he poses with the World Title. All of Evolution are standing tall over Benoit and The Rock to end the show.

WWE News and Notes
Johnny Nitro sustained a shoulder injury at a live event last week. He is going to be out of action for six weeks. Nitro lost a match against Rhyno. After losing the match Nitro said he quits because he failed to win the cruiserweight title and didn't qualify for the KOTR. This was a way to write Nitro off as he will be sent to OVW for further training. Therefore he will be removed from the main roster. The WWE may possibly bring him back next year under a new character.

A-Train sustained a knee injury last week on Raw and is expected to miss several months off action. It is likely that he may not return to the roster. We'll keep you updated on any progress in this story.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

RAW Review

I absolutely loved RAW, it was so great, awesome from start to finish, probably your best RAW in a long time and The Highlight Reel probably the best segment of the whole show with all the KOTR participants, could be a sign of things to come Sunday for your KOTR PPV!!!!!!!!!!

La Resistance backstage with Bischoff, I loved it, but what I also loved from that segment was Bischoff making the match for Rene Dupree vs Shawn Michaels, should be a great match

Lita-Trish backstage segment another high for me

La Resistance retaining their World Tag Team Titles against Stamboli & Palumbo and also against The Dudleys, just shows that they are no fluke

The heel KOTR participants backstage I loved it

Regal-Eugene skit I didn't really care for all that much

Trish beating Lita just shows that Trish is on top of her game right now

And the HHH-Benoit confrontation I loved that a whole lot as well, another great segment

The faces beating the heels in the 8 man tag, I literally loved it, and then after the match everybody brawling but with Batista as the only man standing, Batista could be the one this Sunday

Evolution backstage was awesome as always

Bischoff and Heyman phone segments backstage are always the best and same can be said for Coach & Rock whenever they interact, and Rock always gets the better of Coach I love that

And HBK beating Rene, makes him a prime favorite to win the Battle Royal, could HBK do it again one more time and prove that he still has it???

Rock beating Benoit in a great main event, MOTY for me if anything, and then Evolution coming in and beating down on both Rock and Benoit, I loved that, and HHH posing with the title to end the show

Now I am really excited for Smackdown now and also for KOTR this Sunday!!!!!!!!!

WWE Smackdown

Rey Mysterio calls out JBL

Tazz and Michael Cole welcome us to the show as Rey Mysterio’s music hits as he comes down to the ring. Footage is shown from last week when JBL attacked Rey in the main event. Rey discussed how over the last month JBL has disrespected him and other international stars on Smackdown. Last week JBL got involved in his match. He demands JBL to come out to the ring right now and fight him. JBL appears on the screen. Rey says just like i thought, JBL is a coward. JBL responds back and says he would love to come down and teach Rey a lesson but he has more important things to take care of tonight. He has a big match tonight and this Sunday he’s going to become KOTR. Rey asks JBL as JBL is so over confident that he will go all the way and win, why doesn’t he pull double duty tonight and face him? There is a time and place for that and once he wins KOTR then his first act as King is to make guys like Rey Mysterio bow down and kiss his royal feet. Tonight he is going to demonstrate why he is the greatest star on Smackdown. JBL starts mocking Rey and calls him a midget. He would have made him his driver but his drivers even have more class than Rey Mysterio. JBL thinks Rey probably doesn’t even have a drivers license because he would get stopped by the cops because he looks under age. He would have asked Rey to wash his car and would have paid him good money but he doesn’t trust Mexicans. He reminds Rey the last time he offered good money he had his money stolen. Why should he support people like Rey Mysterio when he hasn’t made a fortune like JBL. It’s people like Rey Mysterio that take advantage of our country, they don’t work hard to make their own money. He calls Rey an illegal immigrant. He knows how Rey is like taking advantage of the American economy. People like them are ruining America. This is why people like Rey are kept down by rich people like JBL because that’s whats good for America. The Mexicans are the size of Rey because they are not even in America’s league. Rey Mysterio who wants to prove he can hang with the big boys, goes from cruiserweight and wants to move up the ranks to become a main eventer. JBL thinks that’s a ridiculous story.

JBL claims that he is the greatest success story in America. He is America, he is a self made millionaire. What he wants he gets and he wants to be King and he’s gonna take it. He’s a leader and everywhere they go they chant his name JBL JBL JBL and soon they will chant King JBL. Rey responds and says the only chants he hears at the moment is 619, 619. Fans start the 619 Chant. He asks JBL what has he done since becoming rich, absolutely nothing. Has he become champion? Has he won the KOTR yet? The answer is No. All JBL is done is run his mouth and mock people of different cultures. JBL is nothing more than a loser and a bully. JBL stands for Just Big Loser. Rey states that he has always been underestimated because of his size but he’s proven that he can mix it up with the big guys. If JBL is man enough to take him on then he is going to show JBL the one thing that JBL doesn't have and will never have, and that's heart. Not just heart but love for his country because he is an American too. He takes pride in the fact that he is both Mexican and an American. Rey says something in Spanish. JBL fires back and says SPEAK ENGLISH you fool because here in America we speak English. JBL claims that he’s better than Rey Mysterio. He’s on a crusade to become the biggest star on Smackdown and it will start from tonight when he leads Team Smackdown to victory over Raw. The screen goes blank. Rey’s had enough of JBL running his mouth and Paul Heyman comes out on the stage. He’s not going to let JBL pull double duty tonight because Paul predicts him to go all the way to win the KOTR. So JBL needs to save his energy. Heyman warns Rey not to get involved in JBL’s match tonight because if he costs Team Smackdown the match against Raw then Rey will not compete in the battle royal this Sunday. In return he assures Rey that JBL will not get involved in Rey’s match. Rey seemed confused and Paul says he’s going to give Rey a warm up match right now to prepare for the battle royal this Sunday. His opponent is also competing in the battle royal. His opponent is KANE. The big red monster Kane comes down to the ring with Paul Bearer and here we go.

Then Eddie whips Mordecai off the ropes and hits a standing dropkick. He goes for a cover and Mordecai powers out at 2. Mordecai is angry and he gets up and Eddie sees him and Mordecai kicks him in the gut to set up for the Crucifix Powerbomb and he hits it. Mordecai hits the Crucifix Powerbomb on Eddie Guerrero, it's over, we've got a new WWE Champion. Wait the gong goes off and the lights go out. The gong goes back on and the lights come back on, while the referee is knocked out. The Undertaker is in the ring and chokeslams Mordecai. The Undertaker gives Mordecai the tombstone piledriver. Paul Bearer is in the ring and Undertaker sees Paul Bearer trying to hit him with the urn from behind. Undertaker ends up hitting the Tombstone on Paul Bearer and then rolls him out of the ring. It’s not been a good night for Paul Bearer. Firt he was attacked by John Cena and now he was assaulted by The Undertaker. Mordecai sits up but Taker picks him up and gives Mordecai another tombstone. The lights go back out and the gong is heard. The lights come back on, Undertaker is gone. Eddie Guerrero is back up and revives the referee. Eddie goes up to the top rope and hits the frog splash on Mordecai. He pins him for the 3 count to win the match and retain his WWE Title. Eddie becomes the first man to defeat Mordecai. Eddie celebrates in the ring and brings the belt in and poses on the turnbuckle. Wait Edge is back as he runs in and Eddie Guerrero sees him coming. He gets down and tries to hit Edge with the WWE Title but Edge gets to him first by hitting the spear on Eddie Guerrero. Edge then hits the Edgecution on Eddie on the WWE Title and Eddie is busted wide open. Edge’s music hits as Edge taunts Eddie. What a match up this is going to be at KOTR and it is no disqualification. Will we see a new champion crowned this Sunday? Edge poses with the WWE Championship to close the show.

Re: WWE 2004: Road to WrestleMania XX

Smackdown Review

Rey Mysterio/JBL confrontation I loved it, really I did, I expect a feud in the coming months especially with the way things are going between them as of now, and their feud that they have going on can really propel both Rey and JBL into becoming main eventers on Smackdown

Rey Mysterio vs Kane, awesome match from start to finish, it was such a great match-up with so many near falls and Rey kicking out of the Chokeslam, how many people can do that, and Rey hitting the 619 or trying to and Paul Bearer trying to get involved in the match, but then Cena out of nowhere attacks Kane with his steel chain while the referee is distracted while Paul Bearer is on the apron trying to distract the referee, and then Rey hitting the 619 to win the match but Cena giving Bearer an F-U on the floor, is Paul Bearer alright after that, Paul must be out cold

Cena getting his payback, I loved it

The Team Smackdown backstage segment I loved it, Cena is looking not to be a team player and I like that, hopefully he can get his hands on Kane in the near future in a match, that is like my dream match with John Cena facing Kane, but for now Cena has to be a team player but Cena is my pick to win King of the Ring

JBL and Heyman segment I also love that too, and then Torrie is coming back in 3 weeks and Stacy is coming back in 2 weeks

That Undertaker promo I loved it, it hypes Taker up and it makes him look like a favorite for the KOTR Battle Royal, and I love it, especially when after the promo was over, the lights are still out, the titantron screen fades out, and then lightning strikes the ringposts and the ring is on fire and Undertaker's symbol is burning and then everything disappearing from sight, Undertaker looks ready for KOTR

Edge has to go up against The Undertaker and he isn't afraid, in fact he wants to make another statement at Taker's expense

The pre-recorded statements from Nunzio, Noble, Rhyno, Kidman, London, Hurricane, and Moore for their thoughts on the battle royal, I loved it

Booker T beating Tajiri, gives Booker T some much needed momentum coming into the battle royal, Booker is one of the favorites for KOTR

Dawn Marie and Heyman segment talking about Val Venis' chances for the battle royal only for Kane & Paul Bearer to storm into the office and both Dawn & Heyman are terrified, Kane wants payback on Cena but Heyman says he wants Smackdown to win and he can't have Kane & Bearer interfering, and if they do, Kane is out of the battle royal and Kane destroying things and leaving the office saying Cena is his, Kane wants Cena

Edge beating Undertaker in a classic match-up even though it was by countout, was awesome, and Mordecai costing Taker yet another match and then attacking Taker afterwards with Edge but Undertaker fighting back and then the lights going out, Mordecai and Taker are both gone and Edge is the only one left in the ring cutting a promo about KOTR only to be interrupted by Eddie and then Eddie attacking Edge afterwards, loved it

Team RAW backstage segment I loved it

Team Smackdown beating Team RAW, I love it, it gives Smackdown some momentum for KOTR, and then everyone attacking each other after the match was awesome, and Orton RKOing people left and right until it was him & Batista as the only ones left standing, loved it. Then Cena dropping Orton with an F-U and Cena throwing Batista over the top rope as Shelton got on the apron.

Mordecai's promo after that, I feel it in the air, we could have a new WWE Champion tonight

The announcers running down the KOTR card, loved it

And then the Heyman/Bischoff backstage phone segment again, funny as always and now their confrontation for bragging rights will finally come to a head at KOTR

Eddie Guerrero beating Mordecai to retain his WWE Championship, I loved it, it was such a great back and forth match-up, and Mordecai came close to becoming the new WWE Champion but Eddie sneaks the win out, and then Edge coming out after the match and leaving Eddie laying with the Spear, I loved it

Overall classic Smackdown, probably your best Smackdown episode yet, with 3 classic match-ups that are sure to be Match of the Year type matches with Kane/Rey Mysterio, Edge/Undertaker, and Eddie Guerrero vs Mordecai, loved it!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot wait until KOTR your next show after this, should be a great PPV!!!!!
