The BTB Advertisement Thread

The last thread was beginning to clutter and had lost some semblance to actual advertisements. This is a revised version of the BTB Advertisement thread.

Basically, this is the BTB Advertisement thread. Pretty self-explanatory, right? Wrong, here are the rules. Be warned - lack of adherence to the rules will result in a warning. If you keep it up, you will be given an infraction.

The BTB Advertisement thread allows you to post previews of your upcoming shows and PPVs and generate hype for an upcoming thread. In order to give prospective readers an incentive to view your thread, you can even post small samples of the advertised work in question, though these will be relegated to one paragraph.

If you wish, you can provide links to your threads following your advertisements.

Since the last thread was abused to some extent, I'm laying down some additional rules in order to keep this thread tidy.

1) ONE advert per every three days. We will check this thread every day to see if anyone is abusing the system and spamming the thread.
2) NO news, notes, or anything of that sort pertaining to your thread are allowed. We were lenient before in the last thread, but such posts belong in your thread. The BTB Advertisement thread is not your personal network - it is shared, and thus, only actual advertisements for shows are allowed.

Last, but not least; do NOT beg for reviews when you advertise. In jest, you can market your thread and mention reviews, but there is to be no fishing for 'em. It just reeks of desperation.

Thank you.

WWE 2009 - Bridging The Gap

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Preview, April 17th 2009

‘Animal Kingdom’

Beast Unleashed

This past Monday Night saw the unexpected return of The Animal, Batista! The former World Heavyweight Champion stunned everybody, including Randy Orton, Edge and John Cena by making his triumphant return during the main event of Raw. Just before the blockbuster tag team match was set to take place, Cena’s partner, CM Punk, was attacked backstage by an irate Big Show which rendered him unable to compete. Cena, deciding to tackle both World Champions alone ran to the ring but ultimately fell to the numbers game. Just when it seemed as if the vicious Orton was going to punt the CeNation Commander in the head, Batista shocked the world by sprinting to the ring and taking everybody out. The last image of Raw saw The Animal standing tall with both World Titles in his grasp. What does this mean for Randy Orton and Edge? What does this mean for the entire WWE? Tune in to Friday Night Smackdown where The Animal is set to take on the very man who started the chaos of Monday night in the first place, The Big Show!

Punk’d

Just moments before his huge tag team main event with John Cena against Randy Orton and Edge, The Straight Edge Savior found himself on the receiving end of a vicious beat down by The Big Show. Show, who obviously wasn’t too happy about getting pinned by the Money in the Bank holder last week on Smackdown attacked Punk backstage right after getting disqualified in his match against Christian for doing the exact same thing. It is rumored that Punk has not been cleared to compete and thus is not scheduled to be in Baton Rouge come Friday.

Number Seventeen

In what turned out to be a very heated confrontation between two WWE legends set to do battle ‘One More Time’ come Backlash, the world just might have witnessed the beginnings of The Phenom’s infamous mind games. After degrading Mr. Wrestlemania to nothing more than Number 17, The Undertaker went on to rebuke an attempted Sweet Chin Music with a mere shrug of his shoulders. HBK is set for action on Smackdown against the self-proclaimed ‘Wrestling God’ JBL. Has The Deadman got inside the head of Shawn Michaels?

Straight Up….Ballin?

The United States Champion saw himself on the losing end of a match to Ted DiBiase on Raw. Where one Legacy member goes, the other is sure to follow and this was the central reason for MVP’s loss Monday night. While Mr. 305 was able to enact some measure of revenge against Legacy during Cody Rhodes’ match with Rey Mysterio later in the evening, he will have the opportunity to go for a double when he faces off against the second generation superstar again this Friday Night.

Champion vs. Champion

Since winning the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 25, The Viper is yet to step into the ring for competition. This will all change as he takes on the man who put away his Legacy brethren, Cody Rhodes this past Monday Night, Rey Mysterio! It’s WWE Champion vs. Intercontinental Champion, The Viper vs. The Ultimate Underdog, Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio!

Also, World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Unified Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and John Cena will all be on hand for another unmissable edition of Friday Night Smackdown!

Confirmed
MVP vs. Ted DiBiase
Shawn Michaels vs. JBL
Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio
Batista vs. The Big Show

Monday Night Raw | June 24th 2002 | Cleveland, Ohio

cred to Enigma for the banners.

Monday night Raw this week experiences the aftermath of the King of the Ring, which saw the reigning Undisputed Champion, the Undertaker retain his title in a bout' with SmackDown's Triple H, Brock lesnar alongside Paul Heyman decimate the likes of Edge and John Cena to become the 2002 King of the Ring tournament winner and earn himself a shot at the champion come Summerslam. King of the Ring also featured Jeff Hardy taking out rival, Eddie Guerrero for the Intercontinental title and lastly for the Raw side of things, Vince McMahon won a steel cage match against Ric Flair which saw Shane McMahon and Arn Anderson make appearances throughout. Vince forced Ric Flair to relinquish his G.M spot as Raw was left without a General Manager.

With Raw left without a General Manager, things may turn upside-down this week as the inmates literally run the asylum. Vince is scheduled to appear on the top of the broadcast and give some information regarding a new Raw General Manager or at least someone part time to fill in the spot to control the brand and make sure there is order, but who is it? is it himself? or someone else?

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar are set to have themselves a celebration this week to commemorate the King of the Ring victory and the upcoming Summerslam title match. Will things go as planned for Heyman and Lesnar or will there be someone that has something to say about it. Brock is also set to be in the main event and face someone who came close at the King of the Ring but not enough- Rob Van Dam who looks to redeem himself and get back on a winning streak, can he topple the monster or will Brock once again be just too much.

In other action William Regal is set to face Hardcore Holly, however, William Regal has said that he will be having one Christopher Nowinski at ringside. Mr. Harvard the self proclaimed genious from OVW is set to make his first appearance on Raw in his young career and be at ringside, to learn and study from good friend, William Regal. How will his pan out for Hardcore Holly? and will Christopher Nowinski be a decisive factor in this match.

Newly crowned Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy is set to be here tonight along with Kevin Nash, the Big Show, Booker T, Rico, Bradshaw, Spike Dudley and several more. Raw is where it is at and as we enter the Summer time, things are set to get red hot and it's a can't miss show.
It is all up and posted. Reviews shall be returned within a couple of days.

MWL.com News Bite

The rating game will still be in my Be the Booker thread, but we will modify some changes as highest show between the two promotions will be given a chance to be the Main Event Match of the Pay-Per-View! For example, the highest-rating show between the promotion before New Blood Rising will be guaranteed a secured Last Match of that said pay-per-view! Support your promotion and give them a rating that they deserve!

UCL Saturday Night Blaze will not be posted in full because it is not really a part of the BTB! I just posted the roster and the championships because they are the future stars of the MWL! But, for the happiness and enjoyment on your part, we will still give the results in a recapped form and it will be released every week also on the News Bite!
MWL Weekly Shows Preview

WWE Monday Night Raw for April 4, 2011

WrestleMania season is now officially over and done as we are now going back to the real deal once more as yesterday's extravanganza mark the last day of the McMahons as the ruler of this wrestling world because the richer man in the business world has bought the WWE and the TNA at the same time and resulting to a huge changes to the landscape of professional wrestling! The new owner of the two major promotions right now is Mr. Bill Gates as he merge the two opposing companies in to a professional wrestling league consisting of two teams! This Monday night, at the Philips Center, the night after WrestleMania, the owner of Microsoft, Inc. and the new owner of the WWE and TNA will speak up to the WWE Crowd! What will we expect from this business? Will the Gates era rule in this business or it will be the cause why wrestling will fall in the future?

This edition of Monday Night Raw after the WrestleMania pay-per-view will be three hours as we give you a big teaser on what will happen on the upcoming weeks here in this new and fresh wrestling league! Mr. McMahon, the Chairman of the WWE and one of the biggest executives on the MWL will speak about his future plans on the promotion! Also, giving some comments and opinions about this big merger between the two of the promotions who fight with each other for almost a decade! What will the Chairman address to the Universe? This will be surely an exciting new season of Monday Night Raw!

Since the owner of the MWL wants a good and decent tag team division, he sends a lot of young guns and talents to the two promotions because he believes that the young and fresh people on the roster will bring a new hype on the wrestling business! He has a motivation to bring back the respect and the love on the tag team section as he commands the General Manager of the WWE, Theodore Long to book a Four Corner Tag Team Elimination Match and it will be for the WWE Tag Team Championships! That is really promising note from the Microsoft and the MWL owner as he wants to bring excitement and fun to the league! The confirmed list of tag teams who will participate in the match will be Paul London and Brian Kendrick, The Ultimate Broskis, Cryme Tyme and World's Greatest Tag Team!

The self-proclaimed "Biggest Star in the MWL" AJ Styles will make his WWE Debut for the first time! You will surely regret if you will not watch the debut of one of the best in-ring competitors of TNA from 2002-2010 as he reveals his wants and needs in the WWE. Will anyone listen to his contentions as he demands and says it this Monday Night, live at Atlanta, Georgia or no one will ever listen to this guy!

If there is a big action and excitement to the mens' division, the girls division will not also quit as they will also give us and show us their talents that they boys can't do to their enemies! Two of the best women in this business right now will settle things in the center of the ring as former WWE Women's Champion and TNA Knockouts' Champion Mickie James will face the legendary and vicious Victoria! Two of the best WWE and TNA Girl Champions of all-time will battle it out as they kick their ass this Monday night! Who will prevail? Who will score a momentum in the WWE? This is surely exciting as we are going to unfold our first Raw Episode after the merge!

As stated on the contract, the former WWE and TNA Champions could get their rematch clause anytime they want as long they will not exceed on the 2-week limit! Jeff Hardy told the MWL Staff to have a WWE Championship match this Monday Night at Raw! But, who will be his opponent? That is really a confusing situation as we still do not have a WWE Champion after the said merge! Theodore Long will not make this episode really boring as he give an edgy match at the first hour of the new Monday Night Raw! As he pits the current face of the WWE right now, John Cena and the former face of the TNA, AJ Styles in a match to determine the person who will face Jeff Hardy in the main event which will also happen at that same night! Can John Cena prove that he is still the best guy in this league or the "Biggest Star of MWL" dominate in this match as he sends the other people in the WWE brand to better watch out as their ultimate challenge is now here on this business!

You want some highflying action? Well it is now here at WWE Monday Night Raw! As they give you non-stop and high-octane high risking moves to your eyes as the legendary Crusierweight Championship will be witnessed tonight as one of the best crusierweight champions in WCW and WWE will once again set his eyes to the title as he faces one of the best crusierweights in the division also, the Shaman of Sexy and the Prince of Parkour, John Morrison! But, wait, this will not be an ordinary wrestling match as the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase and Jimmy Wang Yang would be the enforcers on this match! Will they bring a big effect on this match?

Since Mr. Kennedy left the WWE in 2008, Randy Orton is really having a relaxed time with the other superstars as he beats every opponent each and every single week that he has! But tonight, this is different as we will be really going upclose and personal as the Loudmouth from Green Bay will face his rival for many years! Not only in some championship chases, but also personal wrestling issues! We are sure that this will be a riot as two of the best guys will square off once again in the first episode of the WWE Monday Night Raw!

WWE 2011 - What's Booking?

This may be the single greatest BTB that has ever existed.

I'm ashamed to say that while writing my next show for my BTB I kept throwing in stupid, random shit because I had just read this haha. I unfortunately, against better taste, deleted most of that hahah.

I can't say there is a thing I disliked about this. CM Punk on commentary is a great idea if there ever was one. Foley/Mankind double arm ddting everyone made me laugh every time. Austin just in general. I'm definitely following this thread and praying it continues.
CM PUNK: "Aww shit, its Kharma." HAHAHAHA this was hillarious like the rest of the show.crazy start to the btb butnot complaining it was a lot of fun. foley/mankind was crazy and Mankind setting him on fire! wow lol it started the show with a bang and continued with the attack on the old commentary team, the new commentary team coming out and Austin and the rock as gm's! what a start!

jericho/Miz would have been a really good match, Austin attacking stopped it happening but sets up this mysterious highway to hell match well. i am intrigued.

Love Maria and even though she lost her in bra and pants is not a loss to anyone. Eve dissing Kharma was funny and cm Punk is hillarious on commentary.

The main events ere great WWWYKI!Ryder picking up the wins was great and even Bubba Ray winning the title off him in the 24/7 rule was great. Love that rule.

Cannot wait for Smackdown haha

Thursday Night Smackdown Extract!

Teddy Long makes his way down the entrance ramp into the middle of the ring.

Teddy Long: I'm out here tonight, playas, to address the entire WWE universe.

Teddy Long: There have been major changes, regarding the way that this company will be run.

Teddy Long: For starters, we are now Thursday Night Smackdown Live!! in Charlotte!!!

Teddy Long: But despite the new owner ship, the schedule changes, the new titles, this is and will still continue to be Teddy Long's show.

Teddy Long: And as Smackdown General Manager, what I think...

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!

A very familiar voice is heard through the speakers. The lights go off all around the arena, and the titantron begins to flicker, and then...

If ya smellllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
What The Rock is cookin'!!!

The Rock's theme music begins to play as the man himself strolls out to the ring

The Rock: Teddy Long, The Rock hears what you're sayin', but it just doesn't make any sense to The Rock.

The Rock: Do you why that is Teddy?

The Rock: Because as of tonight, you aren't the Smackdown General Manager, and this isn't your show anymore.

Teddy Long: Now hold on just a minute, playa!

The Rock: And just so you know, this was never your show!

The Rock: This was The Rock's show, from past to present, from future to now, hold on a minute playa! The Rock is here, what the hell you gonna' holla' about now?

The Rock slams the microphone against the ring floor, then hits Teddy Long with a Rock Bottom!

Booker T: Tell me I didn't just see dat!

Booker T: Dat right dere, dats always been Rocky's show, and he jus' took it back!

The Rock raises his arm high above his head as his theme music plays and he walks off to backstage as the new Smackdown General Manager.

Monday Night Raw Preview
Monday 6th October 2008
Live from the Von Braun Center
Huntsville, Alabama

>The Dead-Man is Coming. . . Back!<

Tonight will mark the return to Raw of one of the biggest names in sports entertainment history when The Undertaker appears live from Huntsville, Alabama. It was confirmed after his shock appearance last week at the conclusion of the show which saw Ted DiBiase & Ezekiel Jackson doing a number on Kofi Kingston. The duo were more shocked than anyone to see the phenom appear out of nowhere to leave them both flat on their backs as Raw drew to a close. You have to ask why DiBiase and is this a sign of things to come from the Raw roster now arguably the most feared superstar of all time is headed back to Monday nights?

One man who may well be smelling fear right now is the WWE Champion, Batista with the sharks circling the water, hungry to tear away his WWE title at Survivor Series. Eric Bischoff reluctantly made the announcement when it looked like we were about to witness chaos that The Animal will have to defend his title against both Randy Orton & Triple H in just under six weeks in a triple threat match. The Game may well be happy to let his marriage to Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley fall by the wayside but now he has what he wants, a shot at the title and The Animal. The Viper will be licking his lips at the prospect of taking back the title he’s tried to ever since losing it at WrestleMania. Are Batista’s days as champion numbered?

We’ll see Melina defend her title this week when she takes on Brie Bella, and after being accused by Mia Rain last Monday night of being an invisible champion, maybe the Women’s Champion will be out to prove a point in Huntsville.

The World Tag Team titles may not be up for grabs this week but by the end of the night one team will be just one match away from the gold when two of the remaining four teams in the hunt collide when the team of JTG and his rookie, Homicide take on the undefeated duo of Christopher Daniels & Kaval. JTG & Homicide warmed up with a win last week over another mentor/rookie combination of Cody Rhodes & Joe Hennig. They looked impressive and their opponents for this week came out to take a closer look. Can Daniels & Kaval keep their impressive undefeated record going or will the boys from the Bronx make it two in two?

The winners of that match will go on to face the winners of next week’s contest between Matt Hardy & Gregory Helms and Rey Mysterio & Mystico. It was the Mexican duo that won the final spot in the last four week in a match that saw Shane McMahon suffer a nasty injury after being chokeslammed through the announce table by The Big Show. We’re hearing that there will be an announcement tonight on Shane’s condition. Also, Hardy & Helms will be able to get an idea of what they’ll be up against next Monday night when their buddy, Shannon Moore goes one on one with Mystico, Rey’s rookie this week. What we’ve seen of Mystico so far, you can guarantee there’s not going to be any lack of entertaining action.

If you didn’t catch No Mercy last night, you won’t have seen The Miz walk away from a potential fight with Shawn Michaels. It’d be an understatement to say those two have had their problems in recent weeks, and last Monday we saw The Heartbreak Kid ensure Miz and his rookie, Heath Slater would miss out on a shot at tag team glory. However Mr. Hollywood and his protégé will be in action tonight when they take on the team of Kofi Kingston & John Morrison in what will be a very difficult match indeed for The Miz & Slater. Life certainly won’t be getting any easier for The Miz anytime soon.

It also appears that one man who isn’t afraid of our new Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus is Carlito. After spitting in the Irishman’s face the week before, last Monday he was called out by the dominant & undefeated Celtic Warrior. Carlito openly mocked Sheamus’s pale complexion and even appeared to set a trap for him, a trap that he fell in to when Carlito’s brother, Eddie Colon jumped the Irishman having been attacked by him several weeks earlier, resulting in Carlito spitting in Sheamus’s face two weeks ago. It came as no surprise that Sheamus was furious and the Intercontinental Champion chased them out of the arena, only narrowly missing them as they sped out of the parking lot leaving the furious Irishman in their tracks. Will he be after them this week, and if so, will he be able to catch up with the Puerto Rican siblings this time?

In what promises to be a huge edition of Raw this week, make sure you tune in to see the return of The Undertaker and a whole lot more!

>Confirmed for Raw This Week<

WWE Women’s Championship
Melina (c) vs. Brie Bella

World Tag Team Championship Tournament – First Semi Final Match
JTG & Homicide vs. Christopher Daniels & Kaval

Plus

Kofi Kingston & John Morrison vs. The Miz & Heath Slater

Mystico vs. Shannon Moore

~Friday Night Smackdown~
March 2nd, 2007
San Jose, California

Friday Night Smackdown arrives in San Jose, California just one night away from Saturday Night's Main Event a leaderless brand, with the anarchy of last week's show still having a profound effect on the Smackdown roster.

When Mr. Kennedy snapped last week and choked Teddy Long with a microphone cord, fans around the world were shocked at the actions of the Kennedy as he assaulted Smackdown's General Manager. As a direct result of that attack, Long has been placed on a medical suspension by the WWE Board of Directors, meaning an Interim General Manager will be named tonight. Who will the new man be revealed to be? And what action, if any, will he take against Mr. Kennedy for his actions last week?

One man dared to stand up to Kennedy last week, and it was the World Heavyweight Champion Batista. 'The Animal' will no doubt be keen to run the rule over the new man in charge, but he'll have to keep his eye on the 2007 Royal Rumble Winner Edge, the two destined for a showdown at Wrestlemania. However, before his attack of Long last week, Kennedy once again expressed his desire to be involved in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania. With his actions at No Way Out and his words to Batista last week, Edge clearly shares Kennedy's opinion that it should be a Triple Threat Match in Detroit. Could Edge and Kennedy somehow persuade our new authority figure to grant them their wish?

One of Teddy Long's last acts as Smackdown General Manager was to grant a tag team title opportunity to La Resistance, a rematch from No Way Out featuring them and the WWE Tag Team Champions The Hooligans. London and Kendrick have long been tangling with Dupree and Grenier, but tonight is being billed as the last chance at the gold for Dupree and Grenier. Can Maryse finally lead her team to the gold? Will London and Kendrick finally see off their long time rivals? And what influence, if any, will The Bluebloods, William Regal, Dave Taylor and Paul Burchill have on the match? The Bluebloods attacked the champions last week, firmly stating they too deserved to be in consideration for a title shot. With Regal, Taylor and Burchill watching on, it promises to be an explosive end to the feud between La Resistance and The Hooligans.

Another of Teddy Long's last acts as General Manager was to announce that tomorrow night at Saturday Night's Main Event, a Four Way Elimination Match would take place to determine who would go on to Wrestlemania to face Gregory Helms for the Cruiserweight Championship. The four participants in that match, Bryan Danielson, Chavo Guerrero, Joey Mercury and Shannon Moore will clash tonight in tag team action, as Danielson and Moore combine to take on Guerrero and Mercury. Who will prove a point and give themselves a huge momentum boost just 24 hours away from one of the most important matches in the careers of these four individuals?

Also tonight, Finlay will announce the match stipulation for his United States Championship defence against Chris Benoit tomorrow night, with Number One Contender Matt Hardy no doubt watching that with a keen interest, King Booker and Montel Vontavious Porter will both be involved in the first two Money in the Bank Qualifiers of the year, taking on Sabu and Jimmy Wang Yang respectively, while we’ll no doubt be hearing from Kane with regards the situation between Umaga and his brother The Undertaker.

A new regime will kick of a new era of Friday Night Smackdown, making this a show you won't want to miss!!

SUMMERSLAM

"The Biggest Party of the Summer"

WWE Championship match:

The Undertaker(c) vs Ezekiel Jackson

Ezekiel Jackson has been undefeated since he debuted under his manager Dr. X. He has put Batista out of action, defeated Shawn Michaels in a Last Man Standing match and destroyed every competitor who has been unlucky enough to come in his way. Dr. X announced that only one thing remains to be achieved for Big Zeke, unfortunately the hurdle on that path is the WWE Champion The Undertaker. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that both of them are each other’s biggest challenges yet. There is however one problem – Only one of them can win. Who?
Inter-promotional match:

Randy Orton vs John Cena

This match is 5 months in the making, and that’s how long this BTB has run till now. Cena’s quest for the WWE Title was always marred by interferences, in the two times he faced Orton in singles matches, Orton emerged victorious both times. Things became personal when Orton punted Cena in the Elimination Chamber match after being eliminated by him. A month later, Cena distracted Orton in his World Title match against Edge but it seems the matter is still unresolved. What better than the biggest party of the summer to put an end to this epic rivalry.
World Heavyweight Championship match:

Edge (c) vs Chris Jericho vs Wade Barrett vs Triple-H

World Champion Edge is the only champion who has retained his title since the start of the BTB. This time he has three contenders in his path, The Game Triple-H who is looking towards another world title reign after trouncing Alberto Del Rio at Armaggedon; Chris Jericho who believes he is the best and is in full momentum after defeating Mr. Kennedy alongwith tackling his manager JBL at the same time; Wade Barrett, who is undefeated in singles action until now and believes that he should be the next World Champion. At Summerslam, the ring will boast of over 30 World Titles and one arrogant and undefeated Englishman when this matchup occurs. Who will win?
Mr. Mcmahon confronts Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold went on a rampage by spying on Mr. Mcmahon's personal life in order to find the mysterious Mr. Money in the Bank. He crossed off two names from his list - JBL and The Miz when they ended up getting Stunners. However, the last suspect was someone not from WWE. Stone Cold crashed a special show of that particular promotion on Saturday and this news was not taken well by Mr. Mcmahon. At Summerslam, Mr. Mcmahon will confront the Rattlesnake in the ring. Who is the mysterious Mr. MITB? Who is the third suspect? Is he the guy Austin is looking for?
Four more matches are there. Full card in the BTB.

NOTE: Predictions for the match results are welcome !! Click the link in my signature. The results will be posted within 48 hours.

Summerslam results posted.

This is the biggest PPV till now in my BTB, not only coz its summerslam, but in terms of the writing length. Probably, my first time I have tried to write matches in full detail.

Any reviews will be appreciated.

TNA IMPACT Preview | The IMPACT Zone - Orlando, Florida
February 24, 2011

Closing the show last week, Impact saw a huge brawl take shape as Immortal once again did battle with Fourtune, however it was a man that is affiliated with neither of these two factions that had the last say on the situation. Mr Anderson, the number one contender to Jeff Hardy's TNA Championship, saved the X-Division Champion Kazarian from being hit with a Swanton Bomb from the champ; much to the displeasure of Jeff Hardy and the rest of Immortal. This week, Jeff Hardy has chosen an opponent to face his rival in the main event. Who is Jeff Hardy's chosen opponent and will Mr Anderson be able to overcome them?

In another battle of Fourtune and Immortal last week, Beer Money inc. impressively defeated Immortal's newest tag team, Generation Me. However, after the match the newly reformed British Invasion not only congratulated Beer Money on the victory, but challenged them to a TNA World Tag Team Championship match at Victory Road. On Impact this week, one half of each team will square off in the center of the ring as Robert Roode takes on the powerful youngster, Magnus! Who will gain their initial advantage for their team as we take another step closer to Victory Road.

Also last week, we saw two of the four quarter-finals take place in the 8 Card Stud tournament to determine a new number one contender for either Jeff Hardy or Mr Anderson at Lockdown. The Blueprint, Matt Morgan defeated his former tag team partner turned enemy Abyss and Rob Van Dam defeated Jay Lethal who's head obviously wasn't in the game due to the presence of D'Angelo Dinero at ringside. This week, two more quarter-finals shall be taking place as Samoa Joe meets Matt Hardy and The Pope takes on Brian Kendrick! See who will advance to the semi-finals and be one step closer to achieving their goal of becoming the new number one contender!

Speaking of number one contenders, tonight we find out the number one contender for Madison Rayne's Knockout's championship as cousins, Rosita and Sarita face off. On top of that, following the altercation between AJ Styles and Hernandez last week, we can confirm that The Phenomenal One has a blockbuster announcement to make as well as responding to Ric Flair's challenge to Fourtune at Lockdown.

All of this and more, only on TNA IMPACT on SPIKE!

Confirmed for tonight's edition of iMPACT!

8 Card Studd Tournament Quarter-Final: Samoa Joe vs. Matt Hardy
8 Card Studd Tournament Quarter-Final: D'Angelo Dinero vs. Brian Kendrick
TNA Knockout's Championship Number One Contender Match: Rosita vs. Sarita
Robert Roode vs. Magnus
Crimson vs. Hernandez
Mr Anderson vs. An opponent of Jeff Hardy's choosing

****

Expect the show up on Friday, maybe earlier maybe later but Friday is a rough estimate.

Friday Night Smackdown | June 27th 2002 | Chicago, Illinois
"Family Ties"

This week as Smackdown rolls into Chicago, we are going to be treated with a main event for the ages. The Undisputed Champion, the Undertaker is going to be appearing on Smackdown this week and is going to be in action with none other than the reigning United States Champion- Kurt Angle. the American Badass and the Olympic Gold Medalist aren't strangers to each other and have faced each other dozens of times before, but this time, when both are champions and are at the top of their game, who will draw momentum as we head closer into Summerslam? And what may turn out to be a deciding factor in the matchup is the King of the Ring winner, Brock Lesnar. Raw's Brock Lesnar is in Chicago and chances are will make his presence felt on Smackdown but in what way?

Speaking of the United States title, the man that fought Kurt Angle earlier in the week at the King of the Ring PPV in hope to get that title, Rey Mysterio is set to be in action this week. Rey Mysterio looks to turn his slight losing streak around as he squares off against third generation superstar, Chavo Guerrero Jnr. Both men know each other inside and out and look to pull out all the stopes.

Another third generation superstar in action here tonight is Randy Orton. The young up and comer is scheduled to step into the ring with savvy in ring vet- Lance Storm. Storm who is no stranger to the ring is the odds on favorite in this matchup but really, anything can happen.

Over on Raw this past Monday Night, one half of the Tag Team Champions Rico came out and told Rikishi that this week he will make sure that this tag team title reign of theirs will come to a screeching halt. He and Rikishi are some-what of an odd couple tag team as back at Judgment Day Rikishi was set to face the tag team champions at the time- Billy and Chuck. With Rikishi's best friend, Scotty 2 Hotty attacked the week prior, Vince told him that he would have a surprise tag team partner drawn at random. Rico, Billy and Chuck's stylists would be his partner and as Rico tried to screw Rikishi over, he missed and hit Chuck instead. Rico requested that he and Rikishi defend the titles this week against the former champions, Billy and Chuck, this match is sure to turn into a handicap match for Rikishi as he can't even trust his own tag team partner.

One man that came ever so close to win at King of the Ring in his rookie month was John "the Prototype" Cena. John has requested time to speak as he looks to give some insight on what went down at the King of the Ring Final with Brock Lesnar. John is also set to face Maven here tonight, can the Prototype regain his recently lost momentum? or will things go differently as planned.

At the King of the Ring PPV we were featured with a video package hyping up the return of Chris Jericho. Jericho has been out since the Hell in a Cell match involving Raw's Triple H back at Judgment Day. Will Jericho be here tonight? Will we hear from the former Undisputed Champion or get any more information regarding his return to the ring?

Speaking of Triple H, the Game was traded over to the Raw roster this past Monday by new Raw General Manager- Shawn Michaels. Shawn however, didn't get Triple H for free as there was a deal involved. The question at hand is who from the Raw roster has been traded over to Smackdown in exchange for Triple H?

All this and more, including appearances from Christian, Edge, Hurricane Helms, Vince McMahon and several more.

IMPLOSION WRESTLING: PREVIEW

At the close of last weeks Implosion, Kevin Nash and Earl Hebner watched the ending of the Main Event match play out on the screen. The show closed without a clear winner of the Implosion World Television Title. Commissioner Nash is expected to make an announcement this coming Wednesday night; will he award the title to Samoa Joe, or will Matt Morgan walk out the champion?

The lovely ladies of Mexican America are scheduled to face off against the tag team combination of Velvet Sky and Ms. Tessmacher.

And in other potential Knockout Action, Mickie James is scheduled to appear.

The ladies of Mexican America aren't the only members of Mexican America scheduled to appear, Hernandez and Anarquia reportedly have something on their minds and intend to have a discussion with Kevin Nash, as if Nash doesn't already have enough on his plate with the Championship mess.

It's shaping up to be a wild night of Implosion Wrestling, be sure to tune in!

This week, on EXTREME PRO WRESTLING ON HBO-

It's finally been announced: Rob Van Dam will face Shane Douglas at EPW's first pay per view, Still Barely Legal! The question is, what kind of a match will it be? In our main event, Rob Van Dam will select somebody to represent him, and "The Franchise" will do the same, and whoever wins gets to pick the stipulation. Rob Van Dam earlier this week announced that he has selected John Morrison as his representative. The question is, though, who has Shane Douglas picked?

There's a lot of rumors going on concerning who will face off against the EPW champion, Bryan Danielson, at Still Barely Legal, but the rumors come to a stop this week! Shortly after last week's show went off the air, Paul Heyman announced that there will be a number one contender's match. Christian has been dazzling audiences since the late 1990's with his innovative style and memorable matches, as has Jeff Hardy. The history these two stars have is that of wrestling folklore, and this week, they will square off once more! "Captain Charisma" will face "The Anti Christ of Professional Wrestling", and the winner will become the new EPW Title #1 Contender!

Plus, the Women's champion, Victoria Varon, has to be sweating a little bit, because there will be a 7 diva battle royal to decide who will be facing her at Still Barely Legal! Gail Kim, Ayako Hamada, Natalya Neidhart, Mickie James, Megumi Kudo, Cheerleader Melissa and Jazz will be competing to earn that right!

All this and much more on this week's EPW ON HBO!

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO CATCH UP!!!

Would appretiate anyone checking out my first episode on my first booking. Not too long and a definite good read. I'd return any reviews, but I would preferabley not have any of the bookings which contain indie wrestlers or japaneese promotions, as I dont know the people involved and it makes it hard to get myself into the reading.

WWE Smackdown Preview

Smackdown has received two new recruits! The Big Show and Rey Mysterio have been drafted back to Smackdown, in a massive trade for Sheamus and Wade Barrett. Wade earlier this week asked Mick Foley for a transfer to Raw, which is sure to have shocked his fellow Corre members. Barrett is the Intercontinental Champion, and Teddy Long has commented that he plans to address that matter on Smackdown this week. After negotiations between Teddy Long and Mick Foley, Mick was reported to be very happy that Sheamus is on his roster. Mick Foley commented that he was a big fan of Sheamus, and will be looking to see what he can bring to the roster. The Big Show is schedualed for his Smackdown return against Christian, right off the heels of his Capitol Punishment campeign for the World Heavyweight Title.

Having said that, also this week on Smackdown, we will see the fallout from Capitol Punishment's World Heavyweight Title match, in which Randy Orton defeated Christian. Christian was beaten after attempting to land a spinning DDT from the top rope. Whilst in mid air, Randy Orton countered and landed a stunning RKO to pick up the win. Christian will have a big test in The Big Show, and will be looking to win and get back on the championship trail.

Titles are on the line this week! New Nexus Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga will defend their belts against The Usos. The Nexus enforcers defeated Santino and Kozlov in controversial fashion last Sunday, and will be looking to defend their straps once again against the young and upcoming Usos. The Usos, sons of 3 time WWE Tag Team Champion Rikishi, will be looking to solidify their right of passage amoungst the WWE tag team division.

Confirmed Match-Ups
Yoshi Tatsu Vs Jinder Mahal
The Usos Vs New Nexus [WWE Tag Team Championships]
The Big Show Vs Christian

The event is sure to be a great occasion for all the fans. With titles on the line, and explosive personalities coming straight out of Capitol Punishment, we are sure to see an amazing night of action.

This week, on EXTREME PRO WRESTLING ON HBO:

John Morrison had possibly the biggest win since debuting in EPW last week by beating his long time west coast rival, Samoa Joe! However, this week he will quite possibly be in the biggest match of his career thus far, because he will go one on one against the EPW Title Number 1 Contender, Jeff Hardy! Hardy has proven in the past few weeks that he doesn't care how he gets a win, so long as he comes out with his hand raised. But if "The Shaman of Sexy" can get a win over him, it will definitely put his name in the hat for the number one contender-ship of the EPW title at our next pay per view, which was announced last week, "Ultimate Jeopardy".

Speakings of announcements last week, Zach Ryder has issued an open challenge to anybody in the Philadelphia Wrestling Circuit. Ryder is hands down one of the toughest, most ruthless competitors in EPW today (Anybody who doesn't believe him can ask Maven Huffman), but could he have made a mistake by challenging the PWC? And more importantly, who is going to answer the call of the "Long Island Iced Z?"

Plus, Yoshi Tatsu and Finlay will compete to find out who will face Carlito Colon at "Still Barely Legal" for the EPW International Title! Tatsu has been a crowd pleaser since coming to the EPW, wowing the audience with his unique blend of Puroresu and high flying. Finlay, on the other hand, is a rough brawler who doesn't care what the crowd thinks. What will happen when these two lock up this week, and which one of them will move on to "Still Barely Legal"?

All this and more on this week's EPW ON HBO! You better not miss it!

Catch up on the previous weeks

Monday Nitro Preview
The Pyramid; Memphis Tennessee
October 28th, 2002

World Championship Wrestling invades Memphis Tennessee as The Pyramid hosts another exciting edition of WCW Monday Nitro and as per usual, Nitro is LIVE on ESPN from 8PM Central

Jeff Jarrett, the current reigning WCW Champion is to address his victory over the former number one contender, Eddie Guerrero. Now, everyone but Nick Patrick is aware as to how Jeff Jarrett was victorious last night, for the third straight month, Jeff Jarrett has picked up a victory by use of his trusty weapon, his guitar. But, the referee's decision is final and now Eddie Guerrero has to get back in line because we have a new number one contender, Rob Van Dam, who Double J is also expected to address. Will Jeff Jarrett's home state welcome him with open arms? Find out, later on tonight on Nitro!

Halloween Havoc was not for the faint hearted as well Rhyno is aware of. Currently, we have no update on the condition of The War Machine but he is expected to be out of action for some time after Abyss left him in a pool of his own blood, he beat Rhyno so bad that Rhyno has to leave the arena in an ambulance. Abyss has put away yet another victim and looks to continue his reign of terror as James Mitchell has told WCW.com that Abyss is issuing an open challenge to anyone who thinks they can tame The Monster.

Sticking with what went down at Halloween Havoc, WCW President, Eric Bischoff has made a rematch of last nights events, a tag team match which pits The Filthy Animals going up against Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire. Now, last night The Filthy Animals were given a tough time as they tried to take out O'Haire & Jindrak but in the end were totally unsuccessful with O'Haire scoring the end pinfall. Tonight, The Filthy Animals look to even the score, the match result cannot be certain but there is one thing that can be and that's whoever wins is likely next in line to face The Maniacs for the WCW Tag Team Championships.

Halloween Havoc was not the best of nights for the stable of Team Canada. Not only were Petey Williams & Robert Roode unsuccessful in capturing Tag Team Gold but Lance Storm, the leader of the group failed to win the United States Heavyweight Championship from Booker T. However, Lance Storm has signed Rene Dupree up to face Booker T tonight and should Rene Dupree walk out victorious, Lance Storm is expecting to be given another shot at Booker T's gold.

But wait, there is more. Sugar Shane Helms is to defend the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Chavo Guerrero Jr. This announcement has somewhat shocked Sugar Shane due to the fact that he pinned Chavo Guerrero at Halloween Havoc in the Fatal 4 Way match. Can Shane Helms walk out of Nitro still the Cruiserweight Champion and continue his dominance of the Cruiserweight Division? Find out on Monday Nitro!

Expect to see more star including, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Goldberg and many more! Catch WCW Monday Nitro - 8PM Central, LIVE on ESPN.

WWE 2009 - Bridging The Gap

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview, April 20th 2009

'Fatal Four Way'

A rivalry reignited!

After John Cena barged into the World Heavyweight Champions locker room on Friday night demanding a match with or without the title on the line, a backstage brawl erupted between the pair. When finally separated by officials and referees, The Rated R Superstar made the challenge, the CeNation Commander accepted and our main event for Monday night was set – John Cena vs. Edge in a non-title bout! Who will come out on top in this huge match? Tune in to Monday Night Raw to find out!

Briefcase Blues

Last week on Raw, Big Show took it upon himself to attack Mr. Money in the Bank. Word quickly spread that Punk would not be in Baton Rouge come Friday for Smackdown. But the joke was on Big Show. After getting defeated by Batista in his in-ring return to action, Show came face to briefcase with the Straight Edge Master’s most prized possession. Punk celebrated over the fallen monster as Smackown came to a close. With both men set to be in attendance for Raw, can the Alltel Arena contain their inevitable confrontation?

The Numbers Game

Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton ran amuck this past Friday Night interfering in matches and attacking everybody in sight from Batista to Rey Mysterio to MVP. However, it was only the WWE Champion that was victorious in his match against Mysterio, DiBiase having fallen to MVP. A huge six man tag team match has been set for Raw pitting The Legacy against Rey Mysterio, MVP and Batista! Who will come out with the upper hand with the numbers now even on both sides?

The Deadman Cometh

While not physically on Smackdown this week, The Undertaker’s presence was still as strong as ever. During HBK’s match against JBL, the ever ominous gong sounded twice, causing mass confusion and Michaels to fall from the top rope enabling JBL to take advantage and nail a devastating Clothesline from Hell. This week, in a rare Raw appearance, The Phenom will see action against the same opponent as he goes one on one with JBL. With Shawn Michaels also in the building, will Taker suffer the same fate as The Heartbreak Kid and fall victim to The Wrestling God?

The Quest Continues

Both members of the Unified Tag Team Champions saw singles action on Smackdown. While The Miz managed to successfully put away Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy’s interference resulted in a no contest between his brother and John Morrison. The Tag Champs have promised to continue their Quest for Competition this Monday night on Raw. Who is next on the list?

Confirmed

John Cena vs. Edge

The Legacy vs. MVP, Rey Mysterio & Batista

The Undertaker vs. JBL

WWE Raw Preview

Edge is back! Edge is returning to Monday Night Raw to speak about the upcomming PPV, Money In The Bank. Edge has cashed in two MITB cases and won the title both times, so he is more than qualified to discuss the matter. Edge had many problems with the Raw GM, and with Mick Foley now being revealed, what will happen when the two collide?

Speaking of Mick Foley, the Raw GM has stated that he has a massive announcment to make, which will shake the foundations of the WWE for good. Mick made his on-screen return to the WWE last week, and the crowd loved it. Now the GM wishes to keep the love going, by changing everything up. What will this announcment be?

Also, the WWE Champion, John Cena, goes one on one with the giant Mason Ryan. Last week Ryan lost a chance to be the number one contender, after losing to Alberto Del Rio. Following the match, CM Punk hit him with a GTS, and claimed that the New Nexus was over. What will be the fallout of the New Nexus being over? And what will be next for all of the members?

Referees on Strike
After firing WWE senior referee Mike Chioda, arguably due to unfair circumstances, Vickie Guerrero's actions has led to all of the referees in the WWE to go on strike. With the referees refusing to appear and officiate matches on Smackdown until further notice, Smackdown is in danger of perhaps not happening. Guerrero still promises a show this Friday, with or without referees.

Two Matches Announced
Confident that Smackdown will take place and have matches still, Vickie Guerrero announced two matches over the weekend.Following through of the arrangements made last week on RAW when Tamina organized her team, the Foreign Powers, to defend their WWE Tag Team Championships on both the Red and Blue Brand this week. WWE Championship Match
Triple H Vs The Big Show © w/Paul Bearer

"The Richest Prize in Our Sport..."

Never has such a force been felt in the WWE. At over seven feet tall and weighing up to five hundred pounds, with a right hand like Thor’s hammer, there has only been one word to describe the WWE Champion in recent months: “unstoppable.” Since joining forces with the maniacal and ghoulish Paul Bearer in February, turning on his partner Kane in the process, The Big Show has been on a path of destruction not seen since Ghengis Khan’s horde swept across the plains of Asia. All have fallen beneath him: Kane, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, it simply doesn’t matter. But now someone else has answered the challenge. Someone just as ruthless, just as vicious, just as … evil …

That man is the former ten-time World’s Champion, ‘The Game’ Triple H … but no one knows why. What has the deceitful and wicked Cerebral Assassin done to earn such a prestigious opportunity? He betrayed Terry Funk and ECW inside the cage at the Hammerstein, all due to his jealousy of ‘The Wrestling Machine’ Kurt Angle. He is a pariah, a man seemingly without allies, and yet our Commissioner has seen fit to reward this man. What is Funk thinking?

But like it or not, on this night, these two warriors must forget about Olympians, must cast scorned, vengeful monsters to the very depths of their minds, because this night is all about the richest prize in our sport, this night is all about the WWE Championship…

The Great American Tournament Finals; Number One Contender’s Match
Jamie Noble Vs Johnny Nitro Vs Brent Albright Vs Ken Kennedy Vs Matt Hardy Vs Batista
The winner receives a World Heavyweight Title shot at The Great American Bash

"The Great American..."

Since April 2nd, 2006, WrestleMania XXII, one man has ruled the SmackDown kingdom as World Heavyweight Champion, one man has defeated everyone in his path, and one man has continued night after night to disgrace that prestigious title. That man? ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge. Angry, bitter and twisted, the young Canadian’s thirst for gold led him to defeat ‘The Animal’ Batista by hook or by crook in Chicago, but it has been his unquenchable paranoia that has defined his reign thus far. Since his very first night as champion, Edge has been a man on, well, the edge, willing to do whatever it takes to remain on top of the mountain he worked so hard to climb. Whether it be with his feet on the ropes to defeat The Undertaker or a steel chair to the skull to put away Batista, nothing is too low; nothing is too despicable for this man. And with Lita’s unfortunate injury at the hands of Francine at ECW One Night Stand, Edge has become a man alone, without a single ally in the world … but a lot of enemies…

Unfortunately for the World’s Heavyweight Champion, one of these enemies just so happened to be one-half of the interim General Managers of Friday Night SmackDown, Shane McMahon. The night after WrestleMania, Shane made the mistake of interrupting Edge’s victory speech in order to announce the SmackDown Election, a campaign to find the show’s next chief of staff. Following his wars with Randy Orton, Shane’s lack of judgement could be excused … but not by the World’s Champion. Shane McMahon was the victim of a vicious Spear, a collision heard all around the wrestling world. And with that, so ended any chance of a smooth title reign, and, perhaps more importantly, a smooth working relationship.

But on May 26th, the first SmackDown after a Judgment Day Pay-Per-View that saw ‘The Anarchy Era’ in all its chaotic glory during the mass brawl which engulfed the main event between Edge and Rey Mysterio for the World’s Heavyweight Title, Shane McMahon decided that, to quote a true legend of this sport, “Enough was enough and it’s time for a change.” And so The Great American Tournament was announcement; a twelve man bracket which would see the competitors compete in six singles matches against one another, with the winner of each bout advancing to a Six-Man Elimination Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event from Dallas, Texas, live on NBC, on July 15th. The winner of this prestigious tournament would not only be known forever more as “The Great American”, but would go on to challenge Edge at, of course, The Great American Bash for the World’s Heavyweight Championship. But what man would be worthy of such an honour? What man would be capable of dethroning the seemingly bulletproof champion?

Jamie Noble was the first man to advance, shocking the world with a victory over ‘The Fighting Irishman’ Finlay, proving that his short-lived Cruiserweight Championship reign was no fluke; then came Johnny Nitro, as the tag team specialist upset the Cruiserweight Champion of the World Kid Kash to join Noble in Dallas; the rookie Brent Albright was next, keeping his undefeated streak alive with an impressive victory over Paul London; speaking of undefeated streaks, Mr. Kennedy became the fourth finalist with a quick dispatching of Hardcore Holly; Edge’s old enemy, and Kennedy’s current rival Matt Hardy booked his ticket to Texas the following week, returning from his “suspension” to see off Booker T; and last but most certainly not least, ‘The Animal’ Batista, the former World’s Champion, was able to put his war with Bobby Lashley aside for long enough to defeat his good friend, the United States Champion Rey Mysterio, end his losing streak, and become, surely, the odds on favourite to reclaim the title he held longer than anyone in WWE history.

The time for talking is over though. Who will be the one to step up and challenge the callous Canadian? Will it be the pugnacious veteran? The high-flying youngster? The punishing newcomer? The arrogant loudmouth? The man who will not die? Or will it be the monster who wants nothing more than to return to days of old? Whoever it turns out to be … one way or another, they will leave Dallas as … The Great American….

How did it come to this? This is the question that everyone, from the fans to the announcers, from management to the other wrestlers in the back, have been asking themselves of late in reference to the unholy war that continues to rage between two of the most beloved, popular and, previously, good natured members of the WWE. We are of course talking about the bloody conflict between ‘The Docta’ Of Thuganomics’ John Cena and ‘The Artist Formerly Known as The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels.

What started out as nothing more than your usual, run of the mill, sporting competitive rivalry all those long months ago in January, when then General Manager Eric Bischoff announced that only Cena OR Michaels would be entered into the 2006 Royal Rumble Match, and that they must face off against one another for that right, has, in the following period descended into one of the most violent and bitter rivalries in the history of professional wrestling. And for what? Jealousy. The jealousy of Shawn Michaels. The forty-one year old veteran from San Antonio saw this kid - this rookie as far as he was concerned - reaching unfathomable levels of popularity, and did it make him happy? Was he pleased to see the sport of professional wrestling prospering beneath the flag of John Cena? Of course not. Because we might not like to admit it, but deep down we have always known that Shawn Michaels was rotten. Rotten to the core. A man who has turned on and betrayed and stabbed in the back anyone who ever trusted him. And as far as he was concerned … John Cena was just another sucker.

But John Cena is no sucker. This is the man who was attacked during the Royal Rumble Match by a vengeful Shawn Michaels, still reeling from his defeat in their qualifying match earlier in the night. This is a man who was beaten, battered and bloodied at the hands of the vicious veteran, but STILL went on to outlast twenty-nine other men, last eliminating the legendary Undertaker to win the whole damn thing. This is a man who would have surely defeated Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship at Backlash if it wasn’t for Shawn Michaels once again interfering, this time posing as a cameraman, nailing Cena with the recording device, allowing an unaware Angle to score the pin. This is a man who returned after over a month on the shelf with vengeance in his heart. John Cena is no sucker.

But John Cena did not get his vengeance. After nearly having his neck broken by Michaels at Backlash, Cena was forced to sit on the sidelines and watch as his enemy paraded around unchecked, a wicked shadow of his former self. After such an interminable wait, it was unsurprising that on June 25th, Vengeance, Cena did not want to wait until later on in the Pay-Per-View to make his grand return, and so instead charged down to the ring, interrupting a stunned Victoria as she made her entrance, grabbed a microphone, and called out the WWE’s first ever Grand Slam Champion. Whilst the action may have been at times, the hatred between these two men has been anything but one-sided, and Shawn Michaels wasn’t about to let himself be upstaged by this young upstart. The two men collided in one of the most wild and unexpected beginnings to a Pay-Per-View in professional wrestling history, starting right where they left off at Backlash. But Cena’s thirst for blood was left unquenched on that night in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a shot to the eye with his own chain behind the official’s back was enough to allow Michaels to score the cheap win and deny his rival once again! Would this be the final nail in Cena’s already constructed pine box? Of course not. It was merely another gallon of fuel to the already raging fire within his heart.

That fire reached perilous levels the very next night on Monday Night RAW, as, before the show even had the chance to come on the air, as Cena and Michaels continued their war around the ringside area. However, perhaps for the first time in this lengthy, complex feud, it was John Cena the aggressor, as he battered the former Rocker around the arena like nothing more than a ragdoll. He even took things to the next level of brutality, by ripping Lillian Garcia’s belt away, wrapping it around Michaels’ neck, and trying to choke the life out of the man in a display of reckless viciousness never before seen in the WWE! It took almost a dozen WWE officials to finally pry the animalistic Cena away from his prey and, quite possibly, save Shawn Michaels’ life too.

The very next day, Commissioner Terry Funk, a proud man to say the least, was forced to issue a public apology for the actions of John Cena, stating that the youngster from West Newberry, Massachusetts had been fined and severely reprimanded. But as well as this, Commissioner Funk let it be known that he was sick of this two-man war, that he was tired of their battles disrupting his television programme, and that it needed to end, and it needed to end NOW! So rather than delay even more, Funk announced that Shawn Michaels and John Cena would meet once again, this time at one of the most famous traditions in all of WWE … Saturday Night’s Main Event. And it would be taking place in Shawn’s home state of Texas. But will it be a successful homecoming?

It certainly looks that way right now. Michaels had the last laugh on the final RAW before tonight’s collision, sneaking into the ring after Cena’s DQ victory over Chris Masters to qualify for - thus joining Shawn also - the Gold Rush Tournament this Monday, and SMASHING the powerhouse in the back with a steel chair, before hightailing it out of the arena! Having not interfered in the actual match itself, Michaels ensured that their match would still take place … but should he even want it to? What kind of beast has he unleashed inside John Cena? During this undoubtedly hellacious contest inside the American Airlines Center, just keep asking yourself … how did it come to this?

Grudge Tag Team Match
Rob Van Dam and ECW World Chmp. Sabu Vs The ******* Wrecking Crew

"The Head of a Snake..."

Has anyone had a more tumultuous year in professional wrestling than Rob Van Dam? Since returning from injury in January, Mr. Monday Night became embroiled in a violent rivalry with ‘The Game’ Triple H, leading to the former ECW World’s Television Champion scoring the victory of his career over the ten-time World’s Champion in a hellacious Street Fight at WrestleMania. Unfortunately for Van Dam, in the run up to that match he made the mistake of putting his hands on Helmsley’s most powerful ally: the RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff. Tired of Bischoff’s disrespect, RVD finally snapped, beating the hell out of the former WCW owner, before putting him through the announce table! Whilst it may have been one of the most pleasing moments in recent WWE moments, it was also the beginning of the end for The Whole F’N Show, the signing of his own death warrant if you will…

With Triple H seemingly out of the picture, Bischoff turned to another man to get the job. Well, not man; try MONSTER! That’s right, the maniacal RAW GM recruited The Big Show to take Mr. Monday Night out once and for all. The two men met inside the Steel Cage at Backlash with Van Dam’s career on the line in a wild match which saw interference from Paul Bearer, Chris Masters, Carlito, Gregory Helms, Chavo Guerrero, Triple H, and even Eric Bischoff himself! In the end, the numbers were just too much for RVD, and he fell victim to the giant’s destructive right hand, not only knocking him out, but also knocking him out of the business for good seemingly. Bischoff and his army of sycophants had won. Big Show was soon to become the WWE Champion. All was well in the world again. Or was it?

Enter ECW. In fact, enter ALL of ECW. Like the family they have always been, the wrestlers of Extreme Championship’s Wrestling legendary past answered their friend’s call, staging a series of daring and destructive invasions of Monday Night RAW, disrupting Bischoff’s broadcast week after week. Their leader? None other than former ECW and NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk. And he had an offer for Easy E … an Ultimate Jeopardy Match - ECW’s version of the War Games - at ECW One Night Stand; if Bischoff’s team wins, ECW goes away forever; but if Funk’s team is victorious, the wrestlers are reinstated … including Rob Van Dam! So the match was set and the teams were finalised: Big Show, Carlito, Mike Awesome, Chris Masters and Randy Orton for Team RAW; Kurt Angle, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Masato Tanaka and Triple H for Team ECW…

Despite Helmsley’s treachery, ECW emerged triumphant from the cage thanks to one man: SABU! Van Dam’s old partner returned when his comrades needed him most to turn the tides in favour of Funk’s men, and he was welcomed back with open arms by the newly appointed RAW Commissioner afterwards. But it was all a lie. Nearly ten years ago, Sabu took the ECW World’s Heavyweight Title from Funk in a barbaric Barbed Wire Match … and The Hardcore Icon has never forgotten. In the blink of an eye, both Funk and his protégé Tommy Dreamer had turned on Sabu, beating him like a dog, before BRANDING him in the middle of the ring like a piece of cattle! War had been declared!

Mick Foley reinstated Rob Van Dam as promised, but since then Terry Funk has dispatched his two most lethal and loyal followers to take out not only the newly crowned ECW World Heavyweight Champion Sabu, but also the reinvigorated Mr. Monday Night … Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, The ******* Wrecking Crew! The two rugged Texans have been on the warpath against ECW for months, and tonight, in their home state, is exactly the opportunity they have been waiting for … to cut the head … off a snake….

Interpromotional Dream Tag Team Match
World Tag Team Champions World’s Greatest Tag Team Vs WWE Tag Team Champions The Bluebloods

"Best in the World..."

Tag team wrestling has had a sort of rebirth in 2006. Now, MNM, The ******* Wrecking Crew, The Hooligans, and The Spirit Squad may say otherwise, but the two tandems responsible for this reinvigoration have to be The World’s Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, and The Bluebloods of William Regal and ‘The Ripper’ Paul Burchill. They captured the World and WWE Tag Team Title respectively on the same night at WrestleMania XXII, and since then have been tearing it up on their respective brands. Or rather … Haas and Benjamin have been tearing it up; Regal and Burchill have been … well … let’s just say they haven’t exactly been putting the belts on the line on a regular basis, shall we?

While the gold won’t be on the line tonight, pride most certainly will be. Both teams claim to be the best in the world, and The Bluebloods certainly take great exception to their opponent’s chosen name. So for one night only, it’s time to put aside their various issues on their respective shows, and show the world just who the best tag team in the world really is.

Extreme Rules Gold Rush Tournament Qualifying Match
Kurt Angle Vs Masato Tanaka

"The Irresistible Force Meets..."

This match is all about gold. Or rather … the lust for gold. An opportunity at the WWE Championship in the main event of SummerSlam awaits the winner of this Monday’s Gold Rush Tournament, but one does not simply walk into such a position. You have to earn it. Kurt Angle and Masato Tanaka, famously two of the most intense competitors in the history of professional wrestling, collided for the very first time last week on RAW and their unbridled intensity saw them fight to a double count out. But Commissioner Terry Funk wasn’t going to allow this. Ever the maniacal dictator, Funk announced that the two men would settle the final spot at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a match where there WOULD be a winner no matter what … an EXTREME RULES MATCH!

Angle and Tanaka were allies during the war with Eric Bischoff, but with the allure of championship gold before them, friendships will be out of the window, and two of the most ferociously competitive wrestlers alive today will grace the ring in Texas and take Saturday Night’s Main Event to somewhere it has never been before … the Extreme…

Verbal Confrontation
Between World Heavyweight Champion Edge and SmackDown’s Co-Interim GM Shane McMahon

"A Clash of Arrogance..."

There will be the most competitive, athletic, and hard-hitting professional wrestling action in the world bar none taking place in Dallas, Texas tonight; but there are other issues to be settled. Issues that must be settled with words, not fists. Some might say it’s the most important contest of the night. After all, the fate of Friday Night SmackDown hangs in the balance…

It all started on April 7th, the first SmackDown after WrestleMania XXII, when the new World’s Heavyweight Champion Edge met his boss for the first time. But this wasn’t in the nice, relaxed, private confines of an office in Stanford, Connecticut; this was on national television for the world to see. The Rated R Superstar had come out to revel in his very first World Title win … but was interrupted. With his history of jealousy, bitterness and paranoia well documented in recent years, Edge was the last man Shane McMahon should have cut off in his desire to announce the SmackDown Election. What followed was a Spear heard around the world and the first shot in a war that would change the face of SmackDown … forever…

Since then, the two men have been locked at the horns in a rivalry in which it has become difficult to see who exactly is in the wrong. Yes, Edge is arrogant and deceitful … but … isn’t Shane McMahon too? The Boy Wonder has done his best to hurt the new World’s Champion, throwing opponent after putting in the direction of the bombastic Canadian, doing everything in his power to try and get him to put the belt on the line. But, apart from a few occasions, Edge has remained adamant and has stuck to his contract. Is he a coward, or is he in fact … just doing the right thing? One thing is for sure, there is absolutely NO WAY that Friday Night SmackDown can EVER function properly with these two on the same show.

Thankfully at least one person has retained some shred of sanity throughout this whole sordid affair; none other than Shane McMahon’s own little sister, Stephanie. Having already seen her father taken out earlier this year at the hands of Randy Orton, Steph isn’t keen to see her brother go the same way, or, indeed, one of her family’s shows disintegrate before her eyes. So she has scheduled this verbal confrontation in order to get to the bottom of these two men’s issue with one another, and to see if they can, hopefully, save Friday Night SmackDown…
