...And a little preview for Smackdown...

Smackdown | 8.5.2011 | Lexington, Kentucky

>> At Money in the Bank 2011 Christian used the champion Randy Orton's unstable frame of mind to get him disqualified, and won the title in a match where there was no champion's advantage. The new World Heavyweight Champion then narrowly avoided having another five day reign as he managed to beat Kane. Mark Henry, who has absolutely dominated his opponents as of late, took one step closer to finally winning the world title after 15 years, as he beat Kane to win the number one contendership the following week. Although Christian got Orton suspended for RKO'ing him on the announcers' table at Money in the Bank, Teddy Long announced that 'The Viper' would be returning to use his rematch at Summerslam. What are Henry and Christian going to say about that?

>> Kane has been on a mission as of late, trying to become the true monster that he once was. So far the task has been unsuccessful as Kane has suffered a loss after loss: at Money in the Bank, against Christian for the World title, and against Henry in a number one contender's match.

>> Last week, Sheamus helped young Tyson Kidd to pick up a win over Wade Barrett to make him accept a Falls Count Anywhere -match for Summerslam. 'The Bareknuckle Brawler' won the last encounter between the two, albeit with shady tactics. Who will pick up momentum two weeks before the important rematch?

>> After beating Daniel Bryan, Sin Cara and his partner Ted DiBiase in a four-way, Cody Rhodes earned the right to challenge Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam. But on Friday Rhodes has to get through the recently returned visitor from Raw John Morrison, all thanks to the COO Triple H negating the brand split in favor of the SuperShow format, which means all superstars are free to appear on all shows! The maniacal Cody has promised that he will start his own legacy at Summerslam when he wins the championship. He isn't the only one who has been teasing a surprise as Ezekiel Jackson has been throwing up mysterious hand signals lately.

>> Sin Cara's behaviour has been very strange after taking a powerbomb through a ladder at Money in the Bank courtesy of Sheamus. The sensational fan favourite has suddenly turned into a rule breaking creep. The mysterious luchador hasn't made a lot of friends in his relatively short tenure so far, but perhaps the closest to him was Daniel Bryan, who has been trying to get answers from Cara, but without success. Bryan and Sin Cara will meet in the ring on Smackdown! Bryan is also scheduled to wrestle Raw's 'Mr. Money in the Bank' Alberto Del Rio at Summerslam.

>> Abraham Washington returned to TV in search of members for his new talent agency, the All World Promotions. He soon found what he was looking for and encouraged Vladimir Kozlov to quit tagging with Santino Marella. After some consideration, the former champion partners peacefully, yet not unanimously, parted ways, with Kozlov becoming the the first member of Washington's agency. Washington announced earlier on WWE.COM that his main man will be making his return on Smackdown with a new focus and attitude as he faces the comedian 'Funny' Johnny Curtis.

>> Also announced is a Tag Team Championship match between the champions Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne and the former title holders David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty.

ROYAL RUMBLE POSTED! Thought it was a really good show, let me know!

WWE Proudly Presents The Royal Rumble
1/20/03 From Boston, Massachusetts

30 Man Royal Rumble Match
Winner Earns A Title Shot of Their Choice at Wrestlemania

Every year, 30 men enter the ring and 29 fall to the outside and watch one man earn the prize of a lifetime. This year is no different, as 30 men will again enter in the main event and earn a shot to headline Wrestlemania. For the past month, superstars have been talking about winning this match, but they know only one will win. The Rock, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, and countless others will attempt to cement their spot as a legend and be the lone survivor. Will Evolution's attempt to team up in the Rumble and win it prevail? Will the winner move onto Wrestlemania and win the title they have longed to hold? The most anticipated match of the year holds all these answers and will provide many, many more.

Triple H (C) vs Shawn Michaels
World Heavyweight Championship Match

Triple H and Evolution have vowed to take over the WWE from the top down. They claim nobody will get in their way and stop their plan. The Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon, does not seem to be worried about Evolution's threats. Triple H's long time best friend and partner in crime, Shawn Michaels, does have a problem with this. The Heartbreak Kid confronted Triple H and just wants his best friend to stop what he is doing because it just isn't going to work. Triple H offered his friend a spot to join them in the takeover, but Shawn denied and paid the price. Shawn earned himself a match against Triple H with a win in a tag team match. Shawn has overcome a stubborn Chairman and an ex-best friend. He hopes to overcome the odds and become the World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H sees Shawn as a little dot on a bigger map, but, if Shawn pulls off a win here, Michaels could turn out to be much bigger than a little dot.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs Hardcore Holly
WWE Championship Hardcore Match

If you look up domination in the dictionary, you will find Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship reign. Lesnar has gone through everybody in his path, including the best Smackdown! has to offer. His manager, Paul Heyman, thought it would be appropriate to throw him a celebration party and Hardcore Holly crashed it. Holly said that Lesnar didn't go through everybody, but Lesnar made quick work of Holly. Smackdown! General Manager, Stephanie McMahon, made a four man tournament to determine who will face Lesnar at the Rumble. It came down to Undertaker and Kurt Angle, but Stephanie added Hardcore Holly into the match because of his nonstop willingness to face Lesnar at the Rumble. Lesnar interfered in the triple threat match and took everybody out. He dragged Holly onto his opponent and Holly earns the chance to face Lesnar. Will Lesnar regret helping Hardcore Holly on Smackdown! or will his path of destruction continue through The Royal Rumble?

Chavo Guerrero vs Eddie Guerrero
Singles Match

Things seemed so easy when Chavo and Eddie Guerrero won the WWE Tag Team Championship on Smackdown! against the Basham Brothers. However, Eddie was just coming off a feud with Brock Lesnar which left him in a bad place. Eddie was embarrassed by Lesnar and that left Eddie in a bad state of mind. Chavo was always there for Eddie and this time was no different. Chavo thought going after the Tag Titles was the best way to cure Eddie, who seemed unmotivated. Once winning the titles, nothing changed and Eddie was just a man who was ready to snap at a blink of the eye. The eye blinked during a tag title defense against the World's Greatest Tag Team and Eddie took out his frustration on Chavo. The two square up at the Royal Rumble with a lot to prove to one another.

Basham Brothers (Doug & Danny Basham) vs F.B.I. (Chuck Palumbo & Johnny Stamboli)
#1 Contenders Tag Team Match

The Basham Brothers lost their WWE Tag Team Titles to Los Guerreros (Chavo & Eddie Guerrero) on Smackdown! and since Los Guerreros have lost their titles and split up. The WWE Tag Team Title hunt on Smackdown! is wide open. The Basham's were not able to attend their rematch clause and Stephanie McMahon punished them by having to win a number one contenders match against a hungry team in Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Stamboli. The winner will face the World's Greatest Tag Team on the next Smackdown!

Molly Holly (c) vs Victoria
Women's Championship Match

Molly Holly has been a dominant Women's Champion and she looks to continue her run at the Rumble, as she takes on a formidable opponent in Victoria. Both of these divas are not fond of each other and expect the bad blood to pour over into their match at the Royal Rumble.

We are just thirteen nights away from Unforgiven and last week saw the road to Oklahoma really begin to take shape as two HUGE matches were signed and as we head to Nashville this Monday night, the tension is only sure to increase.

The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in less than two weeks as Batista defends against the monster Kane. These two bitter rivals took their feud to a new extreme last week as following our main event, the Animal came to the aid of a helpless Shelton Benjamin to fend off the duo of Mark Jindrak and William Regal along with the Big Red Machine. Batista cleaned house before coming toe to toe with his challenger at Unforgiven and the end game was almost a repeat of what took place before Summerslam as Kane set Batista up for a Chokeslam off the stage only for the tables to be turned and Batista, sacrificing himself, speared Kane off the stage taking himself down in the process. It was a shocking conclusion to Raw and this week, both men having been cleared to compete, will be in action as the World Champion teams with the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin to take on Kane and his partner, ‘The Protégé’ Mark Jindrak. Having fought all the way around the arena, having fought off the stage, will tonight be the night where these two men are contained the ring?

The other match set for Unforgiven last week was courtesy of Raw’s GM, Eric Bischoff as he declared that Shawn Michaels punishment was to undergo step two in Oklahoma where Michaels will take on ALL FOUR members of the Arabian Entity in a Handicap match with Michaels having to eliminate every member of the Entity in order to be victorious. Prior to that announcement Muhammad Hassan cut a scathing promo on the Heartbreak Kid, citing his reasons for attacking Michaels. This Monday night, the Showstopper will return and will no doubt have a response to Hassan and the Entity’s assault on him as well as his upcoming match with the quartet. Just what will Michaels await when he returns this Monday night in Nashville? Only the boss knows his fate.

Since Summerslam three men have become fixated on being the next in line for a shot at the World Title and they are three of Canada’s finest. Edge, Chris Jericho and Christian have all had their eyes on the prize but with Kane now being named number one contender, just what’s next in store for these three men? Christian, having defeated and ended the career of Ric Flair at Summerslam has stated that he’s at the front of the line however both Edge and Jericho have had their say on the matter with these two bitter rivals also having strong claims. Unsurprisingly this has seen things spiral out of hand between the trio and come Monday night they will cross paths again as Christian goes one on one with Y2J, however, there is no doubting that Edge will keep a close eye on proceedings. Just who will leave Nashville having stolen a march in the race to the World Title? One thing’s for sure you will not wanna miss it.

We already confirmed that Shelton Benjamin will be in action in our main event, however we will also seek answers from his tag team partner, Charlie Haas. Haas walked out of the duo’s locker room last week, clearly angered after a disagreement with Benjamin and as Shelton took a beating at the hands of Mark Jindrak and William Regal, Haas was nowhere to be seen. Will the World’s Greatest Tag Team settle their differences this week or will Haas continue to feel aggrieved?

Also scheduled for this week, the Platform to Perfection will be in action as they take on the Basham Brothers, hoping to cement their status as number one contenders. Will the Dudleyz has any say in the outcome as the PTP continue to look past the champions? Plus, Lita will make her in ring return following injury having made a big statement to the Women’s Champion last week. And finally Mr.Kennedy sent shockwaves around the locker room last week after a brutal assault on Eugene was followed up with a showering!! Kennedy poured beer all over Eric Bischoff, stating he was ‘finished’ with the boss. Will Kennedy’s frustrations continue to grow or will Mr.Bischoff aim to please the so called ‘Game Changer’?

Confirmed for Raw:

Christian vs Chris Jericho

The Platform to Perfection vs The Basham Brothers

Lita will be in action

Plus;

Batista and Shelton Benjamin vs Kane and Mark Jindrak

Shawn Michaels returns to Raw

Monday Night Raw – Preview!
Monday 26th January 2009
Live from the Wachovia Spectrum
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Raw was an action packed a week ago, just 24 hours after 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels won the 2009 Royal Rumble to become the new WWE Champion, and it promises to be just as eventful tomorrow night when Raw comes to you live from Philadelphia.

Not only did we hear from The Heartbreak Kid, announcing his return to Raw but that this week we will see three matches to determine who will go on to No Way Out in two weeks to battle it out for the right to face Mr. WrestleMania for the WWE title at Wembley Stadium in London, England at the 25th anniversary of the showpiece event in sports entertainment. We'll see a huge monster of a match between Randy Orton & Triple H, and after his return at the start of the month, The Viper's chased retribution for the injury suffered at the hands of The Game back at Survivor Series. It was Orton who eliminated his former Evolution leader from the Royal Rumble match just over a week ago, but will he knock off The Game again and cost him the chance to get the WWE title back tomorrow night on Philly? This is a match that is sure to be a slobberknocker as JR would say.

In the other two matches, the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus will have the chance to be both Intercontinental & WWE Champion as he's wanted when he takes on The Undertaker. Sheamus last week took his frustration out on Rey Mysterio again, just 24 hours after being eliminated by Mysterio, costing Rey & Mystico the world tag team titles in the process against The Epitome of Excellence. Eric Bischoff was furious and told Sheamus that he'd deal with him, and as the show was coming to a close he announced that The Celtic Warrior will have to fight his way past The Undertaker to have any chance of being a double champion. The Dead-Man himself had a bad week, being on the wrong end of a chair shot in the main event at the hands of John Cena. He did not look at all happy after that match and you'd have to think that Sheamus has an uphill struggle on his hands tomorrow night.

The last two men to battle it out in Philly are two men who have had their fair share of difficulties in recent weeks in The Big Show & Chris Jericho. They met two weeks back in the gauntlet match to determine who would be number 30 in the Royal Rumble and Jericho scraped a count out victory to eliminate Show, and along with Triple H in the Rumble, he eliminated The World's Largest Athlete again. Then last week they went one-on-one with Jericho deliberately getting himself counted out, not leaving Big Show amused in the least. Bischoff was quick to let us know that when they meet this week there will be no count outs. Does that give Big Show the edge or can Jericho get one over on him to go to No Way Out in Las Vegas?

As mentioned before, we saw new World Tag Team Champions crowned last week when Christopher Daniels & Kaval, The Epitome of Excellence defeated Rey Mysterio & Mystico, finally getting the hands on the titles they claimed they deserved. Some have said they had a case, but after saying they've been on the wrong end of some controversial decisions, they were very fortunate last Monday night when Sheamus attacked Mysterio during their no counts or disqualification match. It left Mystico with a mountain to climb by himself, and it took a legal low blow thanks to the stipulation of the match that allowed Daniels to get the all important win for him & Kaval. The new champions will be in action this week when they team up with Kofi Kingston's brother, Jay Lethal to take on Kofi and the Puerto Rican brothers, Carlito & Eddie Colon. After losing to Jay at the Royal Rumble, there's bound to be some tension between them still too.

Melina surprised a lot of people at Night of Champions when she fought bravely to try and retain her Women's Championship against the undefeated monster Queen Kong. She fell just short but last week she declared that she will be using her rematch clause this week, and she was quickly joined in the ring by the unstoppable behemoth. To her credit, Melina didn't back down and put the giant diva down, leaving Kong furious as Melina left the ring with Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly coming out to support her. Can she overcome the odds and defeat Kong tomorrow night? For all this and a whole lot more, tune in to find out!

>Confirmed for Raw This Week!<

No Way Out Number One Contender Qualifying Matches

Randy Orton vs. Triple H

The Undertaker vs. Sheamus

No Count Outs
The Big Show vs. Chris Jericho

Plus

Women's Championship
Melina vs. Queen Kong (c)

Kofi Kingston & The Colon Brothers vs. The Epitome of Excellence & Jay Lethal
