Times Union Center – Albany, New York

The WWE is just one night removed from the historic Night of Champions event; the first in the John Laurinaitis era on Monday Night Raw. The main event for the WWE Championshipn saw Alberto Del Rio successfully defend the WWE Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge Elimination Match against CM Punk, John Cena, The Miz, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston; but the Mexican Aristocrat's victory did not come without some controversy. For the third time, Kevin Nash cost CM Punk the WWE Championship where Punk and Del Rio were the last two men left in the contest. As with the previous two occasions, there has been no word from anyone regarding Nash's motives or whereabouts, and it is not known if he will show up in Albany tonight, but if that is the case it is no doubt that there is a certain CM Punk that will be looking for some answers tonight. The Straight Edge Superstar is set to open the show in the Times Union Center and who knows what type of pipebomb he is planning on dropping?

Also stemming from the WWE Championship last night is tonight's main event where John Cena will take on one half of John Laurinaitis' Security Team, R-Truth. Cena eliminated Truth from the match after he put his rival Alberto Del Rio through the Spanish announce table, but just as Cena was about to force The Miz to submit to the STF, Truth illegally came back in and he along with Miz double-teamed Cena; allowing Del Rio to pick up the scraps and eliminate Cena. Cena will still have his eyes set on the WWE Championship around Alberto Del Rio's waist and with Hell in a Cell only two weeks away, he will see tonight as a chance to prove that he is the one that deserves a shot at the gold. Speaking of Cena, he has apparently been going around all day to his fellow Superstars saying that he has an important announcement for Raw tonight, when we will find out about what Cena has to say is unknown, but this is John Cena; it is going to be important.

A total of three titles changed hands at Night of Champions; Smackdown's World Heavyweight Championship, as well as the Divas Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championships, where Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov won the titles for the second time, defeating the former-Nexus duo of David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. The now former champions were too concerned with the argument from many people claiming that they were "boring" and not on the match which allowed The Odd Couple to recapture the titles they held at the beginning of this year. Mike and Dave were reduced to helping out on the arena Security to try and reduce the Kevin Nash threat, but that work was rewarded with the rematch for the Tag Team Titles in Albany tonight.

The United States Champion Dolph Ziggler successfully fought off tough competition in the form of former World Champion and long-time adversary Rey Mysterio, but he was given a massive assist from the man that has been desperate to obtain the managerial services of Dolph's manager Vickie Guerrero, Drew McIntyre. All three are scheduled to be in attendance and Guerrero has requested some time for her and her client to address the situation regarding the future of the United States Championship.

Two men that have been warring viciously the past few weeks are Jack Swagger and the man who's popularity grows each and every week, Zack Ryder. Last week Ryder's old friend Curt Hawkins turned his back on "Long Island Iced-Z" whilst Ryder tried to stop Swagger putting him out of action like he did to Raw interviewer Scott Stanford and another of Ryder's former Tag Team partners, Primo. Tonight, Ryder has a chance to get his hands on the "All-American American" as he teams with Primo to face Swagger and Hawkins.

Confirmed for Raw:

John Cena vs R-Truth + Cena's Special Announcement

CM Punk to open the show!

WWE Tag Team Title Match:
The Odd Couple (Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov) © vs David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty

Zack Ryder & Primo vs Jack Swagger & Curt Hawkins

Plus, Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero & the first Monday Night Raw appearance of Brodus Clay!!

"THE POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD..."

With just 6 days until WWE Night of Champions, Raw comes live from Columbus; Ohio!

Last week, Stephanie McMahon shocked the entire WWE Universe when she announced that John Cena would defend the WWE Championship at Night of Champions against CM Punk. This week on Raw, Punk and Cena will have and an in-ring confrontation and per order of the board of directors, there will be no, shall we say "microphone malfunctions". That's right both Cena and Punk will have free range to say whatever they want and you can bet that both men will take that freedom to it's very limit. Between the acid tongue of CM Punk and the never-back-down attitude of John Cena this is a pipe bomb you won't want to miss..

It's not easy being United States Champion. Dolph Ziggler learned that the hard way last week. After losing a hard fought match last week to John Cena, Ziggler was attacked by Zack Ryder. It's clear that if Ziggler won't give Ryder a title shot, he'll take it. Speaking of title shots, John Morrison defeated R-Truth to become Number One Contender for the United States Championship at Night of Champions. This Monday, Zack Ryder will team up with Number One Contender John Morrison to take on R-Truth and the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler. Both teams are in a highly combustible situation. Truth has made it clear he wants a United States Title shot. Meanwhile, Ryder must team with the man who has the very title shot he is looking for, John Morrison. .Which team will be able to hold it together?

Abraham Washington has promised a new and improved Jack Swagger, and judging by Swagger's new contract he's sold that idea to the WWE higher ups. Now he has a chance to sell that idea to the rest of the WWE universe. Jack Swagger will be in action for the first time since hiring A.W. as his agent. Is this truly a new dawn for the "All-American American"?

After seeing .her friend Eve taken out a few weeks ago at the hands of the Women of Wrestling, a very angry Kelly Kelly evoked her rematch clause for Night of Champions in Beth Phoenix's hometown of Buffalo. Many have questioned this decision on the part of the former Divas Champion, but nonetheless it's official. This week, Kelly Kelly will team with the Chickbusters to take on the Women of Wrestling and a Diva they been having problems with, Alicia Fox. Can Kelly and the Chickbusters put the first dent in the Women of Wrestling's armor?

This week on Raw, Michael McGuillicutty will go one-on-one with his former NXT pro and one of his opponents at Night of Champions, Kofi Kingston. Can McGuillicutty gain some much needed momentum? And will Otunga and McGuillicutty finally be able to get in the same page before Night of Champions?

Finally, WWE COO Triple H will not be at Raw this week. The Game has not yet commented on his wife's major decision last week that was directly against his orders. John Laurenitis has been put in charge..

Confirmed for RAW

CM Punk/John Cena Confrontation

R-Truth/Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison/Zack Ryder

Jack Swagger's open challenge.

Kelly/Chickbusters vs. Women of Wrestling/Alicia Fox

Having picked up a victory over Daniels and Kazarian in the eight man tag last week, Styles and Angle have earned another opportunity to challenge for the Tag Team Titles. Having failed to win the gold on several occasions in the past few months, if Styles and Angle fail to win the Tag Team Titles on this occasion, you can be sure that they'll be pushed to the very back of the contenders line. Samoa Joe defends TNA Television Championship!

Following his collision with Dave Batista last week, it has been announced that Samoa Joe will be defending his TNA Television Championship against an unnamed opponent. Joe is sure to still feel more than a little wound up following the bad attitude that Batista showed him on Impact and he's more than likely to take it out on whoever ends up being named as his opponent. I don't think the question is whether or not Joe's opponent wins or not: it's whether or not he survives!

Having cost James Storm the TNA World Heavyweight Championship last week, Austin Aries will open up Impact as he has something important to say. Having already claimed he deserves a rematch against Jeff Hardy for the World Title, you can be sure he'll have something to say regarding the World Heavyweight Championship picture. Is he going challenge Jeff Hardy to a championship match? Or will James Storm be a road-block on his path to regain the World Title?

Sting: The Aces & 8s Ultimatum
Preview:
With the news that Hulk Hogan will be out of action for several months, Sting has to continue this war against Ace & 8s without the General Managers help. Sting has now come out and said he will be on Impact to offer Aces & 8s an ultimatum that he hopes will end this thing. After what happened last week, you can be sure he won't be making the ultimatum without the help of some back-up. Hopefully, this doesn't end the same way last week's confrontation did.

Twenty Four hours removed from a wild night at Summerslam, the superstars of Monday Night Raw head to Hampton on a night where the fallout and consequences will come into effect after a controversial and emotional night in Washington D.C.

Last night saw Batista retain the World Heavyweight Title, defeating Kane as Shawn Michaels did the ‘right thing’ and called it how he saw it, going against Eric Bischoff’s wishes and counting the Big Red Machine down. Bischoff promised there would be hell to pay if Michaels didn’t follow his orders and the Raw GM’s ‘Personal Employee’ will head to Hampton knowing that his job is hanging in the balance. What will Eric Bischoff have in store for the Heartbreak Kid? Will Batista have anything to say to the Showstopper? And will it be the last we see of Kane in his pursuit for gold?

The career of the legendary Ric Flair came crashing down last night as Flair was defeated by Christian in a dramatic contest. Christian had vowed going into the event that he would once and for all put away the Nature Boy and last night he lived up to his word. Flair bid farewell to the fans last night in an emotional goodbye that had us all gripped. With Naitch now out of the picture, will Christian live true to his word and really become the ‘Leader of a New Generation’? Is Captain Charisma now destined to rise to the top or will there be another roadblock in his way?

We crowned a new Intercontinental Champion last night as Shelton Benjamin finally reclaimed the gold he lost to Muhammad Hassan at Backlash. Benjamin and Hassan put on a gruelling contest and there was no doubting the role Benjamin’s partner played in the match, Charlie Haas. It was Haas who indeed earned Benjamin his title shot and it was again Haas who kept his partner in the contest, distracting Hassan and allowing Benjamin time to survive following what appeared to be a match ending Ankle Lock. How will Benjamin celebrate his title victory? Will he now know just how influential his partner was? And will the former champion and his Entity be in hot pursuit of his lost championship?

Edge retained his Money in the Bank contract, defeating Chris Jericho in controversial fashion last night. Y2J will no doubt be seeking revenge tonight in Hampton after Edge used his Money in the Bank briefcase to smash Jericho’s skull in. Will Edge get his comeuppance tonight or will the Rated R Superstar dodge Chris Jericho’s proverbial bullet?

Mr.Kennedy continues to thrive for competition and was promised last night at Summerslam that he would have his wish granted. Tonight Kennedy will be in action, will he face the challenge he so desperately desires?

All of this and much, much more will be in store LIVE tonight on Raw! Tune in, we promise, you will NOT wanna miss it!!

Confirmed for tonight’s Raw:

We will hear from Raw General Manager, Eric Bischoff;

Mr.Kennedy will be in action;

Plus;

All the fallout and reaction from a blockbuster night at Summerslam as World Champion Batista, Shawn Michaels and Kane will all be in attendance
!

Souled Out Preview

Tomorrow night is WCW's first pay-per-view of the year, and with the rumors being posted, there could be a few issues on the horizon.

Kevin Nash was apparently distressed over the outcome of their match, and now it appears that the result has changed.
WCW added the Steiners to the Wolfpack as it became apparent that Hall was not reliable as a wrestler on a day to day basis. It remains to be seen what will become of Hall, as his whereabouts are still unknown.
Eric Bischoff discusses the Souled Out card on Talk Wrestling Radio this week
Vice President of WCW, Eric Bischoff talked with TWR Friday afternoon, and discussed the Bret Hart signing, calling it "a big step for WCW." Bischoff also discussed potential layoffs. "There will be roster cuts, production cuts, but it will all be trimming of fat. There is alot of untapped resources, just sitting around not providing anything to our product. We are also looking at a way to add the money necessary to move forward with a secondary program. Thunder is still a big possibility, but it would require a better allocation of resources. We have done a great job of fixing our issues, and expect an announcement sometime next week regarding our roster, programming, and production crew."

Card is finalized!
Despite the Scott Hall debacle, WCW has announced the official card, following Friday night's show in Englewood, Ohio.

The Flock (Raven, Saturn, Kidman, Mortis) vs The Four Horsemen (Buff Bagwell, Ric Flair, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko)

"The Total Package" Lex Luger vs "Macho Man" Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth)

WCW Cruiserweight Championship:
Eddie Guerrero (c) vs Rey Mysterio jr,

WCW United States Championship:
Diamond Dallas Page (c) vs "Perfect" Curt Hennig

WCW Tag Team Championship:
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall*) (c) vs Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Booker T)

WCW Television Championship:
Disco Inferno (c) vs "Lionheart" Chris Jericho vs Goldberg

WCW World Heavyweight Championship:
Sting (c) vs "Hollywood" Hogan vs Bret "The Hitman" Hart

*-If Hall is still m.i.a., either Scott or Rick Steiner will take his place.

WWE Raw Preview - 5th April 2010 - Moline, Illinois

Last week on RAW was the first night with Bret Hart as the owner of the company, and it didn't disappoint. Although he was General Manager last week, he revealed over the weekend that he planned to reveal the permanent RAW General Manager after the 'Guest Host' scene was thrown out of the window. Reports say that the proposed General Manager has been in the position before, but the only way to find out is to watch!

RAW's newest tag team, MVP & Shelton Benjamin attacked Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne during their match last week, and tonight they will face the Hart Dynasty for entry into the tag title match at Extreme Rules; while Kofi and Evan will face The Miz for the same privelege, but with Miz's partner The Big Show banned from the arena.

After Jack Swagger intentionally got himself disqualified in his match with Christian last week, Bret Hart announced a rematch for the main event tonight; where if Christian wins, he goes on to face Swagger at Extreme Rules for the Money in the Bank contract, and if Swagger gets counted out or disqualified, he's fired!

We will also see another NXT match, as Ryan Sheffield faces David Otunga for the fifth rank, as well as a tag match with former rivals John Cena and Randy Orton taking on Batista and Ted DiBiase. All four men will face off at Extreme Rules, and two of the four will battle for the WWE Championship at Over the Limit.

CONFIRMED FOR RAW

Jack Swagger vs Christian

John Cena & Randy Orton vs Batista & Ted DiBiase

The Miz vs Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne

The Hart Dynasty vs MVP & Shelton Benjamin

Ryan Sheffield vs David Otunga

-PLUS-

New RAW General Manager is revealed!

NITRO PREVIEW

Tonight's edition of Nitro comes to you live from Columbus, Ohio.

Last night's Souled Out Pay-Per-View will "forever go down as the greatest night in World Championship Wrestling history" according to the new Commissioner, Mr. Nash. There is a new man in charge and word going around behind the scenes is that Mr. Nash has big things to address on tonight's LIVE broadcast.

Souled Out closed with a strange sight but also some controversy. Chris Benoit toppled the gigantic Sid Vicious and forced the big man to submit to the ever neck snapping Crippler Crossface. Benoit shockingly took the WCW World Heavyweight Championship into his possession but, referee Arn Anderson failed to spot Sid's leg situated under the bottom rope, thus technically making Benoit's historic victory null and void. Mr. Nash has claimed that one his key points to address tonight is that of the WCW World Championship situation.

Mr. Nash also informed WCW.com that due to Jeff Jarrett's injury which forced him to vacate the United States Championship, in the weeks leading up to Superbrawl several WCW competitors will compete in a series of matches to determine who will face off at the upcoming Pay-Per-View for the championship. Tonight, four of the eight men will square off in two separate singles matches, those two matches feature the vanilla midget, Rey Misterio Jr. flying his way into Tank Abbott's lethal clutches and the KISS Demon will do battle with Mexico's own burrito, Eddie Guerrero.

Also on tonight's broadcast, the leader of the New World Order has demanded a shake up within the Cruiserweight Division. Mr. Nash never has thought much about facing the "vanilla midget's" but, he as always been fond of their high flying technique and engaging style, so with that said, Mr. Nash is ordering that Oklahoma competes in the ring tonight with the Cruiserweight Championship on the line. However, Mr. Nash has not informed WCW.com which "vanilla midget" Oklahoma will be facing.

Tune in to WCW Monday Nitro, live tonight. At 9 PM ET/8 PM CT

~Scheduled Matches~

WCW United States Championship Tournament - First Round
Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Tank Abbott

WCW United States Championship Tournament - First Round
The KISS Demon vs. Eddie Guerrero

WCW Cruiserweight Championship
Oklahoma (c) vs. TBA
