Monday Night Raw – Preview!
Monday 12th January 2009
Live from the Sprint Center
Kansas City, Missouri

We're now just a week away from the 20th annual Royal Rumble live on pay-per-view that will see the WWE Championship defended in the Rumble match for the first time in its 21 year history. Only on one other occasion has the title been decided in the 30 man every man for himself battle royal, but this time Triple H has the job of overcoming insurmountable odds by not just retaining his title but doing it from number one. It's been one thing after another for the WWE Champion in recent weeks, from finding out three weeks ago he'd be defending the title in the Rumble to a week later being told he'd be the number one entry in the match.

Then last week he got another shock, and so did everyone else when the man he put on the shelf at the Survivor Series, Randy Orton returned to Raw to a surprisingly positive reception from the fans in attendance. He calmly but menacingly made his way down to the ring before hitting The Game with an RKO to a deafening reaction from the fans. It came as a shock to everyone, and it's not yet known if The Viper will be on Raw this week from his home state of Missouri or more importantly if he'll be in the Royal Rumble Sunday night. The odds are we'll find out this week in Kansas City. Will Orton be there in his home state? If so will there be a response from The Game, and in just what kind of a mind frame will he be in as he prepares for the toughest challenge of his career at the Royal Rumble?

Also making a return to Raw last week was Ted DiBiase, and he was intent on getting a place in the Rumble too. He seemed to think he would just be handed a place in the match, but no. Eric Bischoff was quick to put him in his place on his return from suspension, and with DiBiase blaming their past history for not wanting to gift him a spot in the Rumble, Bischoff threw him a bone. He gave DiBiase the chance to earn his way in by giving him a match against The Undertaker, the man Ted was supposed to face a couple of times which he no showed for, leading to his suspension.

DiBiase rose to the challenge and went toe-to-toe with The Undertaker, and thanks to a distraction from a man the phenom has had his issues with as of late in the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus, Ted won the match by count out to win a place in the Royal Rumble and gain the chance to become the WWE Champion. Will the cocky young pretender get his wish this Sunday? First he has to go to Kansas City, if does show up that is, and will Sheamus dare play with fire again in the build up to the Rumble match he & Taker will both be in?

Chris Jericho's been a busy body since returning last month and choosing to move to Raw, however he again showed his face on Smackdown last Friday night, as well as opening his big mouth. He managed to talk himself into a match with John Cena, and that was after being hit by a sledgehammer last Monday night by his own tag team partner, Triple H. The self proclaimed Best in the World has been talking up his chances of winning the Rumble, but will he be able to back up his words this week before he heads to the Rumble?

Also on the end of a sledgehammer shot last week was The Big Show where he teamed up with Smackdown's Shawn Michaels to take on Jericho & Triple H. Michaels avoided the sledgehammer and with Smackdown superstars entered in the Rumble match, will some of them show their faces on Raw this week like The Heartbreak Kid did last week? Anything is possible with the stakes so high going into the most eagerly anticipated Royal Rumble of all time.

It's sure to be a one hell of a show with the Rumble just a matter of days away and so much at stake. Whatever you do you can't afford to miss Raw this week, live from Kansas City, Missouri. Make sure you don't as you will be sure to regret it!

~Friday Night SmackDown~
April 20th, 2007
New Orleans Arena
New Orleans, Louisiana

Last week SmackDown saw the return of General Manager Teddy Long, who certainly shook things up by firing Interim General Manager Jonathan Coachman, suspending Umaga and then making a main event to find a challenger to Batista's World Heavyweight Championship... but it seems like Edge had no desire to embrace change.

As Edge, Mr. Kennedy and Chris Benoit battled in a Triple Threat Match to determine who would face Batista on tonight's show, it appeared Edge had the match won, only for an out of place referee to again cost 'The Rated-R Superstar'. It would be Benoit who profitted from this, as he recovered to snatch the victory and the title shot... only for Edge to strike with a one man con-chair-to, despite the best efforts of 'The Animal' to overt the assault. With Benoit now ruled out indefinitely through his injuries, tonight's title match has been postponed, and instead Teddy Long has decided to let Edge and Kennedy have it, the pait meeting to decide who will face Batista on next week's show from London, England. With no love lost between Edge and Kennedy due to their dealings with each other prior to WrestleMania, this promise to be a fiercely contested main event, with Edge no doubt determined to finally earn another crack at the champion.

Now that he's United States Champion, Matt Hardy knows he's a marked man, with two potential challengers already making themselves known in the shape of Finlay and The Miz. Finlay made the first move last week, attacking Hardy after his match, laying a beating on the champion, making his intentions clear, while Miz has been more cautious, wanting to wait and see who out of Hardy and Finlay emerges as champion once they're done with each other. Hardy isn't scheduled to compete tonight, though he'll no doubt be watching on as Finlay takes one Tommy Dreamer, and of course, the loudmouth Miz will no doubt want everyone to hear his opinion on the matter.

Another issue Teddy Long vowed to fix this week is the actions of The New Breed in their quest to face The Hooligans with the WWE Tag Team Championships on the line. Two weeks ago, Elijah Burke and Monty Brown jumped London and Kendrick from behind, with Long reprimanding the pair last week. This week, Burke and Brown will take on a team of Teddy's choosing, but with Long granting London and Kendrick the night off to allow London's injured knee a chance to heal, just who will Teddy choose to take on the newcomers?

Elsewhere, Kane looks to continue his recent winning ways as he takes on Montel Vontavious Porter, a match that is sure to have the full attention of King Booker. Bryan Danielson is in action again as he takes on Joey Mercury, with Gregory Helms no doubt continuing to canvas for signatures for his petition to have the Cruiserweight Championship retired in his honour. And we'll hear more on the situation brewing between Chavo Guerrero and the impending return to SmackDown of Rey Mysterio.

Confirmed Matches:

Edge vs. Mr. Kennedy

Kane vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
Finlay vs. Tommy Dreamer
Bryan Danielson vs. Joey Mercury
The New Breed vs. A Team of Teddy Long's Choosing

Plus!! We'll have an update on the status of Chris Benoit, and we'll hear from Chavo Guerrero with regards to the upcoming return of Rey Mysterio!

Dunkin' Donuts Center - January 31, 2011
Providence, Rhode Island

Less than twenty-four hours removed from a blockbuster Royal Rumble, Monday Night Raw is coming LIVE from the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The big talking point coming out of the Royal Rumble was that of the winner of the biggest Royal Rumble Match in history, that individual was Smackdown! Superstar, Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio will in fact be in attendance for tonight's Raw broadcast and rumours have been circulating that he is going to announce which champion he wants to face at WrestleMania Twenty-Seven.

Another individual who is on the Road to WrestleMania is the WWE Champion, The Miz who last night successfully defeated "The Viper" Randy Orton but, not without controversy. The self proclaimed "Most Must See WWE Champion of All Time" was only able to defeat the former WWE Champion with a little help from the Nexus, more specifically the Nexus leader, CM Punk who entered the ring and knocked Orton out with the Go To Sleep. It would be a certain payout if the WWE Universe were to put a bet on Randy Orton looking for some retribution over the Nexus tonight on Raw. The Miz now only has Elimination Chamber to pass and he has himself walking into WrestleMania as WWE Champion.

Also, Anonymous Raw General Manager let WWE.com that the Road to Elimination Chamber will begin tonight with the Raw WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Qualifying matches set to start tonight on Raw. Who will get that one last chance to go into WrestleMania as champion? Find out tonight on Monday Night Raw! Live on the USA Network!

CONFIRMED FOR RAW
ELIMINATION CHAMBER QUALIFYING MATCHES
ROYAL RUMBLE 2011 WINNER ALBERTO DEL RIO IN ATTENDANCE

“Anarchy…Revitalized”

Following an absolutely ridiculous Very Merry War, the AOW world was stunned yet again coming into the new year by the actions of Chris Jericho and Paul Heyman. Jericho celebrated the ridding of all of his rivals by having himself a title match to prove Bryan Danielson wrong. On the other side of that board, Paul Heyman celebrated by giving Jericho a chance to celebrate, as well as unceremoniously FIRING The Showstopper from Art of War Wrestling. Now, Jericho seemingly is running as AOW Heavyweight Champion completely unopposed, and with a new member of the Worthy Legion to boot. But Samoa Joe had other ideas. After rescuing the Cruiserweight Champion last week, its Samoa Joe’s turn to talk. This week, the newly dubbed “One Man Army” takes center stage to kick off the night.

Two sets of champions are coming off big victories to close out the year and come into this one – the World’s Greatest Tag Team and CM Punk. Punk, the proud new holder of the AOW Dynasty Championship, has been issued a rematch by the man who made his life hell for weeks in Muhammad Hassan. What will be Punk’s retort? And speaking of retort, the WGTT may have their newfound cockiness getting the best of them yet again after issuing a challenge to TJ Wilson via Newswire this week. And to no surprise, the go-getting, no-nonsense Wilson has taken the smug champions up on their offer! This week, it’s TJ Wilson taking on Charlie Haas. Is Wilson going to prove that he and the Sons deserve a fair shot at the titles? Or will he be nothing more than a ‘warm-up’, so says the WGTT?

Championships and what may happen with them are always big talk, but when two revitalized young starts meet, it may tend to fly under the radar. But not this week! Coming off of two failed first appearances, Matt Sydal has taken a step back and reassessed everything about the art of wrestling and trained under one of the best cruiserweights North America has to offer in Billy Kidman. Now, their training is done, and its time for Sydal to show what he’s learned. Who will he be displaying this against? None other than another young gun given new life in Ken Doane, who was named as the latest member of the Worthy Legion! And there’s nothing like showing your talents to your new stablemates than by picking up a huge win. This Wednesday, it’s going to be the clash of the awaken – a tested Matt Sydal takes on an ‘enlightened’ Ken Doane!

That’s not all in store! Finlay claims his workings earn him a championship opportunity, newcomer Carlito has a Mexicools infestation problem to solve, and what’s next for Bryan Danielson? All this (and more!) on the 19th Edition of AOW Wednesday Night Oblivion, 9/8c only on FX!

.:Confirmed for Oblivion:.

Samoa Joe leads off the night

Matt Sydal w/Billy Kidman v. Ken Doane

AOW Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas w/Shelton Benjamin v. TJ Wilson
