Re: The BTB Advertisement Thread

Spoiler for Coming Soon:

>Jeff Jarrett Setting Up New Wrestling Promotion!<

Former four time WCW Champion, Jeff Jarrett moments ago issued a press release. No one knew what was to lay inside the press release but, it has been announced on that Jeff Jarrett and his father, Jerry Jarrett have partnered up with the National Wrestling Alliance and are in the process of setting up their own wrestling promotion.

Details as of writing are minimal but, Jeff Jarrett said "The NWA having the confidence to go into business with myself and my father is nothing short of extraordinary. We could not be prouder right now about the future we have in store for the wrestling industry... Rest assured that this new brand that will partner with the National Wrestling Alliance will be cutting edge and offer an alternative that wrestling fans have not been able to get for nearly a year. We look forward to our future relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance and hope that wrestling fans across the world will give us one thing and that one thing is a chance."

There is no confirmation on branding/name of the promotion and as of right now, it seems like it will be known as just "NWA".

Last week’s SmackDown saw one of the most shocking moments in the show’s history, as the entire stage collapsed on top of The Undertaker, but when the wreckage was cleared, ‘The Deadman’ was nowhere to be seen… and we still don’t know who will be chosen to face Batista at No Way Out.

During an Six Man Tag Team Match were the message was simple from Interim General Manager Jonathan Coachman… go out and impress me. And without any doubt, the most impressive and shocking event from last week saw Umaga bring the SmackDown set collapsing down on top of The Undertaker, only for ‘The Deadman’ to vanish. Feeling they’d made their point, Umaga and Armando Alejandro Estrada left the arena, seeing an impromptu main event end when Chris Benoit teamed with Batista to see off Mr. Kennedy and Edge. Benoit proved that his claims for a title shot at the start of the show were warranted, as it was he who sealed the victory for his team. But the big question tonight is whether that was enough to get Jonathan Coachman’s vote, or if the outcome of last week’s main event was irrelevant, and ‘Coach’ had already made up his mind.

Last week, Matt Hardy stepped into the ring with William Regal, and despite the attentions of Regal’s partners Dave Taylor and Paul Burchill at ringside, Hardy emerged victorious. Tonight though, The Bluebloods seek revenge in a Six Man Tag Team Match, forcing Hardy to look for a pair of partners. And who better to team up with the United States Champion than the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Hooligans, Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Despite London’s knee injury still clearly bothering him last week, Kendrick and London were happy to oblige, although all three champions know the vultures are starting to circle, with The New Breed clearly intent on getting a title shot against The Hooligans, while Hardy knows that both Finlay and The Miz are making plenty of noise regarding a future match against him with his newly won gold on the line.

Bryan Danielson rebounded from his disappointing WrestleMania defeat to Gregory Helms by crashing Helms’ victory party last week, assaulting the champion and knocking him clean from the ring before Helms’ security squad intervened. This however was overshadowed by Helms’ announcement that he’s launching a petition to have the Cruiserweight Championship retired in his honour as the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in history. Tonight, Danielson is set to take on Jamie Noble, but from what we understand, Helms will be in the arena tonight, canvasing for signatures, a move that is sure to draw the ire of Danielson once again.

All this, plus we’ll hear from Chavo Guerrero regarding the news that Rey Mysterio is on his way back to SmackDown, we’ll see if Santino Marella can finally lead The F.B.I. to a victory, Kane will look to continue to build on his victory last week over King Booker, and we’ll try and find out just how on earth Funaki managed to get a microphone back in his hand!

Confirmed Matches:

Matt Hardy and The Hooligans vs. The Bluebloods
Bryan Danielson vs. Jamie Noble

Plus!! Batista, Edge, Mr. Kennedy, Chris Benoit and Umaga will all be in attendance to hear Jonathan Coachman’s decision!!

Re: The BTB Advertisement Thread

What happened when Edge and Hulk Hogan stood in the same ring for the first time since making their match at Rebellion official? And what groundbreaking announcement was made concerning the Rated R Superstar for next BTW Nitro?

Exactly what was the announcement hyped by Eric Bischoff all week concerning the participants of the Rebellion's BTW World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match? And out of Triple H, Brock Lesnar and Christian Cage, who was standing tall at the end of the night?

What came out from CM Punk's mouth as he came from his self imposed one week silence after being screwed out of victory against Samoa Joe at Apocalypse?

This and much more, including two more matches added to Rebellion PPV, a classic rematch between AJ Styles and The Undertaker plus a game changing attack by The Wall, in this edition of BTW Nitro.

Monday Night Raw – Preview!
Monday 29th December 2008
Live from the Arizona Veterans Memorial Arena
Phoenix, Arizon

In what will be the final Raw of the year, we're all set for what should be an explosive end to 2008 after the bombshell Eric Bischoff dropped last week when he announced that for the first time in history, the WWE Championship will be defended in the Royal Rumble match!

That enormous responsibility falls on the head of Triple H, and The Game certainly let us all know how he feels about the huge challenge he faces in three weeks when he hit Raw's Head of Authority with a Pedigree at the end of last week's show. It may even have got worse had The Big Show not made his way down to the ring. From what we understand, Bischoff will be on Raw as usual this week and he has been thinking all week about an appropriate way to deal with the WWE Champion's actions last Monday night. Just what does Bischoff have in mind? It's just not Triple H who'll be wanting to find that out. Make sure you tune into Raw tonight to find out just how Bischoff plans to punish Triple H.

The news of Triple H's huge title defence spread to Smackdown last Friday night and 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels announced that he will be one of several Smackdown superstars looking to enter the Rumble and become the new WWE Champion. He wasn't the only one however, as Chris Jericho returned to reveal his intentions to head into WrestleMania 25 with the title. That however wasn't all Jericho had to say. He hadn't been on Smackdown for six weeks after refusing to be on the same show as John Cena. That won't be a problem now as Jericho stated that he is officially a Raw superstar. We also understand that Jericho is headed to Phoenix for tonight's show. What can we expect if that is indeed the case? Will it once again be Raw Is Jericho?!

We'll also get to see two title matches as we bring the curtain down on the eventful year that's been 2008, and we might just see if anyone is able to overcome the Women's Champion, Queen Kong. She's been absolutely unstoppable since her debut on Raw earlier this year, and she continued her dominant streak at Night of Champions just over a week ago when she defeated Melina to get her hands on the title that Gail Kim has previously held and will challenge for tonight. She'll be looking to cause an upset and inflict Kong's first defeat in the WWE as she fights to become Women's Champion again. Can she manage it or will Kong's dominance continue?

Also defending their championship gold tonight is the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior's had a similar journey to the Women's Champion, only in recent weeks he's tasted defeat. After being pinned for the first time by Kofi Kingston last month before going onto retain his title at Night of Champions against Kofi eight days ago, Sheamus has had a couple of run-in's with The Undertaker. Two weeks ago he got himself disqualified in order to save himself for his title defence at the weekend, but last week he was ordered to face the phenom again which also resulted in him getting disqualified. The Intercontinental Champion was furious as he failed to put The Undertaker away, so much so he resorted to using a steel chair on The Dead-Man. Bischoff was obviously unhappy with his actions and has put him into a match with a former rival & fellow Irishman, Finlay. Will Sheamus be able to put Finlay away this week where he failed last week or will he come up short again?

The World Tag Team Champions, Rey Mysterio & Mystico may not be defending their titles tonight but it's fair to say that they have a battle on their hands with The Epitome of Excellence declaring last week that they're not going to stop until they get a rematch they feel they deserve. Christopher Daniels & Kaval were furious at not being declared champions before the Survivor Series when the Mexican duo went onto win the titles, but even more so last Monday night after their disqualification victory over them the previous night at Night of Champions. Some may feel Daniels & Kaval have every right to a rematch, and after warning Rey & Mystico they've played nice until now, will the champions give them what they want to avoid getting them even more riled up?

We learnt last week that in three weeks at the Royal Rumble, Kofi Kingston will lock horns with his brother, Jay Lethal who turned up last month and has been hell bent on getting revenge on him for walking out on him & his family. Jay had a shock though last week when Kofi told him that despite previously saying otherwise, their mother did give him her blessing to leave the family home in his attempts to become a WWE superstar. His brother didn't believe him and even went as far as to saying he changed his surname so he doesn't share the same name as his 'judas' of a brother. He also told Kofi that he too has trained to become a WWE superstar in the hope of one day beating him, and at the Rumble he'll get his chance after all hell broke loose last week when Lethal jumped Kofi as he went to leave the ring. The fight spilled to the back where Bischoff happened to be at the time, and he told them both that this had to stop. He then let them know that they would meet at the Rumble with the winner going onto the Rumble match, and subsequently a shot at the WWE title. Despite saying earlier that he didn't want to fight his brother, will this change Kofi's mind with so much at stake? He'll also get an idea of what he's up against when he & the rest of us get to see his brother in action for the first time live on Raw tonight. Kofi won't want to miss it and neither should you.

Also in action tonight is John Morrison when he takes on his former tag team partner, The Miz. The former World Tag Team Champions had a bitter rivalry earlier this year with Morrison beating Mr. Hollywood at SummerSlam. Miz settled the score at Unforgiven the next month so we should be in store for a cracking encounter tonight in Phoenix. The Monday Night Delight comes into it on the back of a solid win against a sore loser in Zack Ryder last week while Miz came up short in a brave effort against The Big Show. Can he bounce back with a win tonight or will it be back-to-back victories for Morrison?

It promises to be an exciting end to 2008 live tonight in Phoenix, Arizona. Make sure you don't miss it!

Confirmed for the final Raw of 2008!

Intercontinental Championship

Finlay vs. Sheamus (c)

Women’s Championship
Gail Kim vs. Queen Kong (c)

John Morrison vs. The Miz

The in ring debut of Jay Lethal

Friday Night Smackdown Preview
16th September 2011
Air Canada Centre – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Following in the footsteps of Monday Night Raw, Smackdown this week is also being held in the heart of wrestling country; Canada! But instead of Montreal, we're over in Toronto for the last stop on the road to Night of Champions!

As announced two weeks ago by Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long, tonight marks the return to Friday Night Smackdown of the Rated-R Superstar, Toronto's own, Edge! Edge is going to be bringing back his revolutionary talk show, The Cutting Edge, with his guests being none other than the two men that will be facing off this Sunday at Night of Champions in a Submission Match for the Money in the Bank briefcase, the current Mr Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan, and Edge's best friend, Christian! Despite being best friends, Edge has been sceptical to say the least at the way that Christian has been carrying himself as of late, with his very vocal complaints about Teddy Long. Not only that, but Long has also placed Christian and Bryan in separate singles competition tonight against unknown opponents!

The main event for the evening is going to be a taster for what is set to come at Night of Champions where six men will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge! Tonight sees the current champion Randy Orton teaming with John Morrison and Sheamus, and they'll face the trio of Wade Barrett, Mark Henry and The Great Khali! With separate rivalries being combined here tonight and different men all out going to get each other, that match is sure to be a rocketbuster!

Also, ahead of his title defence this Sunday, the Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes teams with Ted DiBiase to take on the number one contender, Sin Cara, and a man that Rhodes and DiBiase screwed out of a shot at the gold a few weeks ago; William Regal! These two exciting tandems will collide tonight!

Also, the in form Justin Gabriel looks to continue his winning ways as he goes one on one with one of his former Nexus comrades, Darren Young!

Confirmed for Smackdown:

Six-Man Tag Team Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, John Morrison & Sheamus vs Wade Barrett, Mark Henry & The Great Khali

The Cutting Edge with special guests Christian and Daniel Bryan
Christian and Daniel Bryan to be in action!

Tag Team Match:
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs Sin Cara & William Regal

Justin Gabriel vs Darren Young

Plus, Kelly Kelly, Fighting for Freedom and more!
