WWF/WCW Starrcade 2001
December 09, 2001 from San Diego, California

On the July 9th edition of Raw, Eric Bischoff debuted and it was revealed that Shane and Stephanie McMahon sold their WWF stock to Bischoff, making McMahon and Bischoff co-owners. This led to a "Winner Takes All" Survivor Series match for sole ownership at Survivor Series, which Team Bischoff won. As a result, Eric Bischoff became the sole owner of the WWF and Vince McMahon was forced out of his former company. On Raw the following night, WWF Owner Eric Bischoff merged the WWF with Shane’s WCW and renamed the upcoming PPV event WWF/WCW Starrcade. As a result of the merger, Bischoff announced that all WWF championships would be unified with WCW championships in matches at Starrcade. Bischoff stated the match at Starrcade to unify both World Titles would be WWF Champion Steve Austin vs WCW Champion Goldberg. However, The Rock still had a guaranteed WWF Title rematch from Wrestlemania, so Shane McMahon allowed The Rock to enter The Unification Match at Starrcade if he could beat Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Chris Jericho in a Handicap Match, which The Rock did with help from Kurt Angle. On the November 26th edition of Raw, Hollywood Hogan got his rematch from No Mercy for the WWF Title against Steve Austin, but due to outside interference, the match was declared a No-Contest and Bischoff promised Hogan a spot in the Undisputed Title match at Starrcade. Therefore, Starrcade would feature a Fatal-Four-Way Elimination match between WWF Champion Steve Austin, WCW Champion Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan and The Rock to determine the Undisputed Champion.

Another primary feud heading into the event is between Sting and The Undertaker. At the September pay-per-view, Unforgiven, Sting made his debut when he interfered in a WWF Championship Match between the Champion Hollywood Hogan and The Undertaker, helping Hogan retain the title. The following month at No Mercy, Sting defeated Undertaker after hitting him with a baseball bat when Undertaker went for the Last Ride. On the November 22th edition of Smackdown, Eric Bischoff announced Shane McMahon as the Smackdown General Manager. On the same show, Shane booked a handicap match, with Undertaker facing Sting and Hollywood Hogan, with the stipulation that if he won, Undertaker could choose to face any superstar at any event. Shane put many stipulations in Undertaker's way during the bout, but despite this and taking a huge beating, Undertaker won the contest. As a fallen Undertaker laid at ringside, McMahon began taunting him and demanded to know what kind of match Undertaker would seek now that he could pick anyone to face at anytime. The injured Undertaker chokeslammed Shane and then said that he would be competing in a Buried Alive match at Starrcade against Sting, noting he would bury him "six feet under". Undertaker then picked Shane up and tombstoned him.

One of the predominant matches on the card is Chris Jericho versus Kurt Angle. Their feud first started when Jericho attacked Angle during their elimination match at Survivor Series. After being eliminated, Jericho ran back into the ring apparently to help his partner, but instead nailed him with a steel chair, costing his team, particularly Angle the match. On the November 26th episode of Raw, Eric Bischoff scheduled a match between the two for Starrcade. Later that night, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall defeated Angle and Jericho. Towards the end of the match, Jericho turned on Angle and Angle slammed him. Angle was hit by an Outsiders’ Edge and a Jacknife as a result and was pinned. After the match, Jericho, once again, hit Angle with a steel chair, busting him open before applying the Walls of Jericho. On the December 6th edition of Smackdown, Kurt Angle returned, when he jumped the ring and attacked Jericho. Jericho was barely able to escape and Angle told him that at Starrcade, he would not only beat him, but he would also break his ankle.

Also at Starrcade: Tajiri defends the Cruiserweight Title against Billy Kidman and San Diego’s own, Rey Mysterio, Trish defends the Women’s Title against Ivory and Molly and Justin Credible & Kane take on X-Pac & The Big Show.

degeneration-nexus present: WWE Elimination Chamber 2012

The final pay-per-view before WrestleMania is headlined by three major matches, Elimination Chamber will take the road to WrestleMania on an unexpected path!

New WWE Champion The Rock defends his title against the man he defeated at Royal Rumble, former champion of 434 days CM Punk, in a No Disqualification match. The Rock explained his reasons for returning to the WWE and going for the title as wanting to achieve one thing he has failed to do throughout his career; successfully defend the WWE Championship at a WrestleMania. But by accepting the No Disqualification stipulation, CM Punk has told Rock that he is not only putting his title on the line, but also “his career in wrestling… and in Hollywood”. Punk has not taken his title loss well, delivering a series of vicious attacks to Rock using a variety of weapons. Punk even attacked Rock at the premiere of his new movie. Can The Rock conquer Punk again and go on to successfully defend his title at WrestleMania 29, or will the Best In The World regain the title and make good on his promise of “end The Rock once and for all”?

The stakes have never been higher for WWE’s Chief Operating Officer Triple H as he puts his job as COO on the line in an I Quit Match against Brock Lesnar. Lesnar broke Hunter’s arm in beating The Game at SummerSlam last year, and when Triple H returned and sought a rematch he was turned away by Paul Heyman, who said Brock had no reason to fight Triple H again. Triple H have Brock that reason, delivering a Pedigree to Heyman. Lesnar and Heyman would go on to accept the rematch if Triple H was willing to put his job as COO on the line; with Heyman saying he would “literally quit” the role by making it an I Quit match. Triple H has accepted the conditions of the match, which to the anger and disappointment of his wife Stephanie. The WWE Universe cannot imagine either Triple H or Brock Lesnar saying the words “I Quit”, will The Game get his revenge and keep his job or will Lesnar ensure that this time it really is Game Over?

Raw General Manager Jerry Lawler announced a Number One Contendership Elimination Chamber match, with the winner facing the WWE Champion at WrestleMania 29. The entrants in the match all qualified, and all are in the midst of an interesting road to WrestleMania;
John Cena: Ever since losing to The Rock at WrestleMania 28 John Cena has been on a mission to earn a rematch and prove that he can beat The Rock. Cena first attempted to become WWE Champion at TLC, knowing that the winner would face Rock at the Royal Rumble, but Cena failed to win the title and had to watch on as CM Punk took on The Rock in the main event. Cena entered the Rumble match in the hope that Rock would win the title and that Cena could challenge him as the Rumble winner, but again he failed as he was eliminated late on by Dolph Ziggler. The Elimination Chamber represents Cena’s last chance to earn a rematch with The Rock (assuming Rock can overcome CM Punk). Can Cena defeat five other men inside the Elimination Chamber? If not, how will Cena react to the devastation of defeat again?

Daniel Bryan: Recently christened as WWE’s “nearly man”, Daniel Bryan is on a mission to prove the world wrong. Bryan came close to winning the World Heavyweight Championship for the last two months, but each time came up just short. Arguably the most popular man at live events, Bryan has the support of the fans behind him as he looks to prove he “can win the big one”. Is Bryan able to overcome the other five entrants inside the Chamber and earn himself a spot in the main event of WrestleMania, or will it be another case of “nearly” for Daniel Bryan?

Kane: The Big Red Machine is back to his darkest and most devastating ways. Kane has spent months destroying all that came before him after splitting with former tag team partner Daniel Bryan, and with the help of the crazy AJ Lee has been striking fear into the hearts of his opponents. But Kane’s story took an unexpected twist when, after a defeat at the hands of John Cena, he Chokeslammed AJ. The Devil’s Favourite Demon went on to claim that monsters work best when left to their own devices, and said he will enjoy torturing the souls of his five opponents inside the Chamber. Can anyone stop the Big Red Monster?

Big Show: Big Show enjoyed one of the most dominant World Heavyweight Championship reigns in recent history, holding the title from Survivor Series through to the Royal Rumble without suffering a defeat. But when he lost his title in a Triple Threat match without been involved in the decision, Show was outraged. He agreed to a singles rematch that carried a stipulation that, if unsuccessful, he would be barred from challenging for the World Title again. Show lost the match to Randy Orton, but the stipulation does not stop the Giant from challenging for other titles. Show has set his sights on the WWE Championship, can anyone stop the 500lb 7-footer inside the satanic structure?

Sheamus: 2012 was a year that Sheamus will never forget. He won the 2012 Royal Rumble and went on to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 28. Sheamus is looking to replicate that success this year by earning a WWE Championship opportunity via winning the Elimination Chamber. Can lightning strike twice for the Celtic Warrior?

Ryback: The meteoric rise of Ryback has been remarkable. Catapulted almost instantly into WWE Championship matches with CM Punk, Ryback was screwed out of victory at Survivor Series and has since found a title opportunity hard to come by. But the hunger for gold has not left Ryback, and he is in devastating form going into his first ever Elimination Chamber match. Will the Chamber prove to be too much, or does it merely resemble feeding time?

Dolph Ziggler waited almost 9 months to cash in his Money In The Bank contract, but his patience paid off. Ziggler stole the show in the most dramatic of circumstances when he ended Randy Orton’s tenth World Championship reign just 24 hours after it had begun. Ziggler capitalised on Orton getting knocked out by Big Show and cashed in to become champion, but must now put the gold on the line in Orton’s rightful rematch. Ziggler has been opportunistic and methodical in recent victories, utilising his new Figure Four Leglock and Superkick finishers to devastating effect. Ziggler has vowed to make Orton tap out to retain his Championship, while WWE’s Apex Predator has promised to return to “the Viper of old” by Punting Ziggler in the head and regaining the title. Waiting for the winner of this match is Royal Rumble winner Chris Jericho, who has history with both men that he would love to settle on the grandest stage of them all. Can Orton regain the World Heavyweight Championship, or will Ziggler once again steal the show?

For the first time in history the WWE Tag Team Championships will be defended inside the Elimination Chamber when Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara put their titles on the line again the Perfect Generation (Ted DiBiase and Joe Hennig, managed by Vickie Guerrero) and Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O’Neil). The Champions have been trouble by a series of miscommunication issues of late, while Vickie’s newest clients have risen through the ranks of the Tag Division at a rapid rate. Not forgetting the Prime Time Players, the former champions who want their titles back from The Luchadors. It’s a history-making match that is sure to have serious repercussions as we move closer to WrestleMania. Can Rey and Sin Cara put their issues to rest? Will the Players regain their titles? Or is it time for the Perfect Generation to become champions?

Big E Langston is undefeated since making his WWE debut 4 weeks ago, but he has never faced a foe like Mark Henry. Langston claims that he is “the new World’s Strongest Man”, a claim Henry has told Langston he will have to prove. The challenge was accepted, what will happen when these two goliaths collide at Elimination Chamber?

Intercontinental Champion The Miz has held the title for 114 days and is looking to break Honky Tonk Man’s record title reign, but standing in his way is former friend and recently-returned John Morrison. The Prince of Parkor has two non-title victories over Miz since returning, can he take the title from his former friend or will Miz move closer to breaking the record?

When Zack Ryder lost his United States Championship to Damien Sandow at the Royal Rumble, he expected a one-on-one rematch. But SmackDown’s assistant General Manager Teddy Long, looking to make an impression, added Christian to the match to make it a Triple Threat. SmackDown GM Booker T then added further drama to the United States Championship scene when he added Sandow’s best friend Cody Rhodes to the match, making it a fourway! Will Rhodes help Sandow retain or look to win the title from his best friend? Can Ryder fist-pump his way to a third US Title reign, or can Christian pick up the gold for the Peeps?

Sunday Night Heat forms the Elimination Chamber pre-show, which is headlined by Royal Rumble winner Chris Jericho taking on Alberto Del Rio. Jericho is fresh off of been named in the 2013 Hall of Fame class and is looking to pick up momentum as he prepares for a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 29. Also on Heat is newly crowned European Champion Drew McIntyre taking on Wade Barrett, who is on a terrible losing streak of late.

Elimination Chamber coming soon, Sunday Night Heat now posted!

WWE Championship Contract Signing

On last week’s edition of Raw it would be announced that Randy Orton and WWE Champion would have a contract signing to make their extreme rules match at Extreme Rules official. With so much bad blood between the two already, more fuel was added to the fire as Randy Orton attacked Ted Dibiase during his match with Dolph Ziggler. With Extreme Rules less than a week away, what can we expect from this monumental contract signing as former allies and friends fight over the top prize in the WWE, the WWE Championship.

Animal Verse Beast

For the past couple of week the Animal Batista has been waging war against the Straight Edge superstar CM Punk. Last week, it was mad official that the two would face off at Extreme Rules in a Steel Cage match. Before the Animal gets his hand on Punk, he will be facing off against one of Raw’s newly acquired superstars in Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson has been under the radar for the past few weeks, until he made a huge statement attacking the current Intercontinental Champion and two time All-American Jack Swagger. Two of the biggest superstars the WWE has to offer square off in which is sure to be a brutal fight this Monday Night.

wCw - 2001 to present - The Jarretts buy wCw - coming soon....

I hope I am posting this in the right place if not then accept my sincere apologies.

I am planning on writing a wCw scenario which I have previously tested on another forum. What I want to change from the original is the amount of detail put into matches, I want my booking to be more centred on the story lines, so this time I will only write about the content that will move the story lines along. So if I say a match is seven minutes long you will have to imagine what went before the big finish.

The scenario is that the Jarrett's buy wCw on the Night of Champions show instead of Vince McMahon, wCw will then take a hiatus returning for the Big Bang PPV. I will also only use wrestlers not contracted to WWF/E, so for example I can only book Kurt Angle when he left WWE for TNA.

I want to take sometime before I start to get to know people on the forum, I am also looking for some help, I would love it if someone wanted to partner the project, so please PM me if you are interested in the project. I will start it with the Night of Champions PPV after the Sting vs. Ric Flair match, then follow it up with the hiatus and eventually the Big Bang PPV.

Also anyone wanting to help with graphics etc that would be most appreciated, the more people who want into this project the better.

Lets bring back wCw as a community.

All the best!

Your new friend
Marty
