WWE Monday Night Raw Preview – 11th Feb 2013

In the final week of shows leading up to the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, several major issues are in play. Confirmed for Elimination Chamber is a No Disqualification Match for the WWE Championship with The Rock defending against former champion CM Punk. Rock has been on the end of several brutal beatings at the hands of Punk since winning the title from him at the Royal Rumble, and the Best In The World claims that the No Disqualification stipulation favours him heavily. Punk says he will stop at nothing to regain what he feels is rightfully his – the WWE Championship. On the final Raw before these two gladiators collide for the title, is there a final twist in tale?

Also confirmed for the pay-per-view is John Cena vs Kane vs Big Show vs Sheamus vs Ryback vs Daniel Bryan in an Elimination Chamber match, with the winner awarded a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 29. John Cena has spent the entire year on a mission to gain a rematch with The Rock after his career-changing loss to The Great One at last years WrestleMania. Having failed to become WWE Champion at TLC and failing to win the Royal Rumble match, victory inside the Chamber represents Cena’s last chance to get his rematch. Standing in his way are 5 of WWE’s top superstars who are all hungry to challenge for the WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all… Cena faces Kane in a preview of the match on Raw, while Big Show will be a guest on MizTV.

There is the potential for a third main event to be added to the card with Triple H challenging Brock Lesnar to a match. Hunter returned at the Royal Rumble seeking retribution for his broken arm and defeat suffered at the hands of Lesnar back at SummerSlam, but The Game has repeatedly been told by Lesnar’s agent Paul Heyman that the match is not appealing to Lesnar and is no good for business. Triple H said the match isn’t about business and is personal to him, and in an attempt to make it personal to Lesnar he laid out Heyman with a Pedigree. The offer is still on the table for Lesnar, will the match be accepted tonight on Raw? And if so, how can Triple H hope to survive the fury of an angered Brock Lesnar?

It was the night after the Royal Rumble that changed the career of Dolph Ziggler. Randy Orton was 24 hours removed from winning his tenth World Title when Ziggler cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Orton gets his rematch for the gold against Ziggler at Elimination Chamber. Waiting in the wings for the winner is Chris Jericho; who won the 2013 Royal Rumble match and elected to challenge for the World Title in the hope that it would be held by Ziggler, the man who got him fired from WWE earlier in the year.

There will also be build up to the other matches on the Elimination Chamber card. The Miz is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship against former friend and returning superstar John Morrison, while Damien Sandow’s United States Championship will be defended in a triple threat match against Christian and former champion Zack Ryder.

Confirmed For Raw

CM Punk and The Rock sign their contract for the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman accept or decline Triple H’s challenge for a match at Elimination Chamber

John Cena vs Kane

Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs Prime Time Players

MizTV with special guest Big Show

Team Rhodes Scholars vs Christian & Zack Ryder

Big E Langston vs Mark Henry in an arm-wrestling contest

The Rock | Undertaker | Triple H | Chris Jericho | Stone Cold

CM Punk | Dean Ambrose | Mark Henry | Daniel Bryan | Dolph Ziggler

Austin Aries | Jeff Hardy | AJ Styles | Bully Ray | Christopher Daniels

Friday Night 'Live' Smackdown
Friday 27th March 2009 - Preview!
(Recorded Tuesday 24th)
From the United Center
Chicago, Illinois

Just 48 hours before the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania, Smackdown airs this week with the superstars of the WWE eagerly anticipating this Sunday's spectacular showpiece event. They'll be on hand in Chicago, the hometown of the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

This week, The Benchmark will see 'Stonecold' Steve Austin, the Special Guest Referee for his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at Wrestlemania appear in his beloved hometown. With questions raised by Punk as well as Mr. McMahon as to Austin's role in the world title match, will they be satisfied by what he has to say? Will the World Champion & The Chairman of the Board have something to say, and what about the challenger, 'The Viper' Randy Orton? There could well be an explosion in Chicago this Friday night just days away from the huge World Championship showdown.

News broke towards the end of Raw Monday night that the Wrestlemania match between The Undertaker & John Cena will now be a No Holds Barred match. The two men who have struggled to function as a team in the past, setting up their Wrestlemania match joined forces again, but again they ran into problems. It ended with a brawl on the outside where Cena attempted to FU The Undertaker through the announce table, only Taker countered to chokeslam Cena through it. We understand that Cena will respond to Monday night's events this Friday. How does he feel about his attempts to beat the streak now being made even tougher in a No Holds Barred match?

We're also told that the Money in the Bank hopefuls will be on hand in Chicago too. With so much at stake for each of them, who will gain some serious momentum before travelling to London to compete for the chance to earn the prize of a world title match at the time of their choosing?

There'll also be an update on the condition of the Diva's Champion, Beth Phoenix after she was taken to a local medical facility on Monday night. She decided to make a statement going into Wrestlemania by going after her opponent this Sunday in their unification match, Queen Kong. The Glamazon though ended up on the receiving end of two devastating splashes from the unstoppable undefeated behemoth. Will Beth be able to compete in London, and if so will she be anywhere near the level she needs to be to become the first woman to defeat Kong?

It's sure to be an exciting night on the final stop on The Road to Wrestlemania. Just make sure you don't miss it!

WWE Friday Night SmackDown - 15 February 2013

The final show before Elimination Chamber is loaded with stellar matches, with CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan main eventing. Punk will be 48 hours away from facing The Rock for the WWE Championship, while Daniel Bryan says he is sick of been the man who “nearly wins the big one” and is looking to knock off the number one contender before heading inside the Elimination Chamber to try and earn a WWE Championship opportunity of his own.

Two other competitors inside the Elimination Chamber match are John Cena and the Big Show, they meet in singles action on SmackDown tonight. Also confirmed is a Tag Team match with implications on both the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship matches as Randy Orton and John Morrison face World Champion Dolph Ziggler and Intercontinental Champion The Miz. Can the challengers get some momentum going into their title matches, or will the champions show why they are holding the belts?

Jim Ross will also be making a special appearance on the show to announce the next inductee in the Hall Of Fame class of 2013. With Mick Foley already announced, the rumours running wild online are that the next slot will be given to a Superstar who is still on the active roster. Who will be announced as the next inductee, and will this has implications going into Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 29?

Confirmed For SmackDown

CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan

John Cena vs Big Show

Randy Orton & John Morrison vs World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler & Intercontinental Champion The Miz

Hall Of Fame Inductee announcement made by Jim Ross

The Rock | Undertaker | Triple H | Chris Jericho | Stone Cold

CM Punk | Dean Ambrose | Mark Henry | Daniel Bryan | Dolph Ziggler

Austin Aries | Jeff Hardy | AJ Styles | Bully Ray | Christopher Daniels
