DGENERATION-NEXUS presents - WWE: The Road to WrestleMania 30

Friday Night SmackDown has fall-out from a dramatic 48 hours in the WWE Universe. At the 2013 Royal Rumble, The Rock ended CM Punk's 434 day WWE Championship reign to become champion. Punk has immediately instated his rematch clause, and the following night on Raw challenge Rock to a match for the title at Elimination Chamber. Rock accepted, with the match billed as "no disqualifications, no controversy, no excuses". Punk's agent Paul Heyman has organised a "warm-up match" for Punk on tonight's SmackDown against an opponent of Heyman's choosing, but who will it be?

Also on the Monday Night Raw following the Royal Rumble, Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on new World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to end The Viper's 10th World Title reign just 24 hours after it had started. Earlier in the night, Royal Rumble winner Chris Jericho had dared Ziggler to cash in his contract so the pair could square off for the World Title at WrestleMania 29. With Ziggler now holding the World Heavyweight Championship, Chris Jericho has promised to make an official decision on which title to challenge for at WrestleMania. But with Orton due a rematch, it's set to be an explosive few weeks in the World Title picture.

Triple H returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble and set about revenge on Brock Lesnar, blasting The Beast around the head with his famous sledgehammer. It was Hunter's first appearance since Lesnar had broken The Game's arm at SummerSlam, and tonight on SmackDown he speaks for the first time since returning to the ring.

Another returning star at the Royal Rumble was John Morrison, who has immediately set his sights on Intercontinental Champion and former friend The Miz. Morrison hadn't been seen since 2011 after an attack back by The Miz, something Morrison has not forgotten about. Morrison gets the chance to get his hands on his former friend when the pair clash in a non-title match on SmackDown.

Also, the WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line when Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara defend against Vickie Guerrero's "Perfect Generation" of Joe Hennig and Ted DiBiase. Will the Luchadors retain, or will Vickie complete her turnaround of Hennig and DiBiase's stalling careers?

There will also be word from new United States Champion Damien Sandow, Drew McIntyre faces his former 3MB partner Heath Slater, as well as the latest in the rivalry between Sheamus and Kane.

Show now posted, link in sig.

WCW Saturday Night Live Preview.

Shane McMahon and Eric Bischoff:
Are proud to present:
WCW Saturday Night Live:
From The Disney MGM Studios, Florida:
May 26 2001:
Live 8 PM ET on The Sci Fi Channel:

With the first PPV of the new WCW, 'The Great American Bash' 15 nights away from this Saturday; WCW returns to Florida and 'The Disney MGM Studios.' We have to wonder how Shane and Eric will respond to both being taken out by numerous WWF Superstars this past Monday Night on WWF Raw? Also on Raw this past Monday night WWF Owner Vince Mcmahon announced The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin as the first two picks for "Team WWF" - The two guys who arguably played the biggest role in WWF winning the Monday Night Wars. In response to this Bischoff has announced on WCW.COM that he will be announcing the first two members of "Team WCW" on this weeks show! Who will he pick?

Also as announced by Bischoff on last weeks episode; the main event of this weeks episode of 'Saturday Night Live' will be a 20 man over the top rope battle royal with the winner earning a WCW World Title shot at 'The Great American Bash!' On WCW.COM last night former WCW Champion and WWF Champion Paul White - The Giant (Big Show to WWF fans) announced that he indeed has agreed terms with Eric Bischoff and signed a contract with WCW and that his first port of call will be entering the battle royal. Surely given his size and strength he has to go down as the odds on favourite!

There will also be two title matches on the show; Booker T defends his United States title as he goes one on one with Buff Bagwell and Cruiserweight Champion "Sugar" Shane Helms defends against former 3 time CW Champion and returning to WCW Juventud Guerrera. Will both Champions successfully defend their titles? Or will we see the first title changes of the new WCW?

Plus WCW Legend Ric Flair has promised to speak regarding his future and the future of WCW and his thoughts on the invasion. What will the nature boy have to say as he returns to Florida for the first time since the last episode of Nitro?

Confirmed Matches

20 Man Over the top rope battle royal with the winner receiving a shot at Booker T for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at "The GAB" on Sun June 10!
Confirmed Entrants - The Giant, Goldberg, Lex Luger, Sean O Haire, Chuck Palumbo, DDP, Lance Storm, Bam Bam Bigelow, Hugh Morris, Mike Awesome, Meng
WCW United States Championship

Booker T (C) VS Buff Bagwell
WCW Cruiserweight Championship
"Sugar" Shane Helms (C) VS Juventud Guerrera
Bra and Panties Match
Torrie Wilson VS Medusa

Friday Night 'Live' Smackdown
Friday 6th March 2009 - Preview!
Live from Times Union Center
Albany, New York

The 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania draws even closer, now just three weeks away as Smackdown this week rolls into Albany, New York.

We've already got a high profile line-up for this week having learnt that the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, Randy Orton will meet the United States Champion and latest qualifier for this year's Money in the Bank match, Dolph Ziggler. The United States Champion has been on a roll as of late, retaining his title against Orton's fellow St. Louis native, Matt Sydal last week in their hometown. Will that roll continue against The Viper who'll be looking to go into his world title match with CM Punk on a roll too? Orton picked up a win in tag team action last week against a team that featured Punk. Will Punk be close by this week? It's safe to say he might be!

Four men looking to follow in Ziggler's footsteps in qualifying for Money in the Bank will get that chance this week with two more qualifying matches set for this Friday night in Albany. The current King of the Ring, Matt Sydal will be looking to bounce back after last week's defeat to Ziggler by defeating Ted DiBiase, a mean he beat three weeks ago at No Way Out. Will that be the same result or can the Smackdown newcomer get a win over a man he's clearly jealous of?

The other spot will go to the winner of the match between Bryan Danielson & Homicide. These two have crossed paths in recent weeks after CM Punk failed to recruit Danielson to his alliance with Homicide, and now Danielson has the chance to get some payback for some cowardly attacks at the hands of them both as well as going on to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank match. Which one of these two will join the list of names hoping to win a guaranteed shot at the world title of their choosing?

There's plenty more action lined up with Mickie James going head-to-head with the undefeated Women's Champion, Queen Kong. With the unification match for the Women's & Diva's Championship all set for Wrestlemania against Beth Phoenix, will Kong be able to continue her dominant streak against a multiple time Women's Champion in Mickie James?

J-Red learnt last week that Petey Williams is the number one contender for his Cruiserweight Championship, and this week the champion will be in action when he takes on the man he beat for the title last year, Johnny Jeter. Can Red defeat the former champion again and show Williams that he'll be in for a fight to take his title?

Mr. McMahon also made an intriguing match for this week that will see the Smackdown debut of Natalya Neidhart when she meets Katie Lee in her singles debut. These two are set for battle in the Battle of Britain at Wrestlemania, but who will come out on top Friday night when they collide in singles action?

It's sure to be another eventful night on the Road to Wrestlemania. Just make sure you don't miss it!

For the past few weeks Kurt Angle and Randy Orton have joined forces in trying to take over Friday Night Smackdown but last week them running roughshod over the blue brand came to one hell of a halt. Teddy Long stamped his authority, some might say finally, as he dished out a huge One Hundred Thousand dollar fine to both men as well as banning both men from any unsanctioned physical contact. The major thing for Angle and Orton however is that despite the fine and despite the ban, they both now have exactly what they were gunning for, a WWE Championship match. Whilst laying down the law Teddy Long also caved in, announcing that Angle and Orton, along with The Undertaker would challenge John Cena at No Mercy in a Fatal 4 Way Elimination match. Tonight, Angle will be in action against the angry Deadman, will Randy Orton stand by the side of the Wrestling Machine or is it now every man for himself as the race to No Mercy begins?

Speaking of Teddy Long stamping his authority last week, Angle and Orton weren’t the only ones on the receiving end. The WWE Champion was also punished for a devastating FU to the Smackdown GM with John Cena being suspended for one week meaning tonight in Lubbock there will be NO WWE Champion. Cena knows that if he appears tonight and breaks his suspension he will be stripped of the WWE Championship. The Champ surely won’t risk his title reign just for a shot at Angle and Orton…will he?

Tonight will mark match number one in a Best of Five Series for the United States Title as Matt Hardy defends against Carlito. The Apple Spitter has claimed that Hardy beating him at Summerslam was a fluke and that ninety nine times out of a hundred, he’d beat the former Team Extreme man. Well Hardy laid his cards out on the table, issuing a Best of Five challenge which Carlito duly accepted. Will Lito prove himself tonight and steal a march or will Hardy get another ‘fluke’ under his belt and take the lead in this five match battle?

A huge eight man tag team match is also set for tonight as the WWE Tag Team Champions, on a bit of a downward slope of late, MNM will team with two men who’ve also had a bit of a turn for the worse in recent weeks, Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms and Chavo Guerrero. Those four will take on their respective rivals of late as Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Paul London and Brian Kendrick will join forces to build one of the best high flying teams you’re likely to see! Will MNM, Helms and Chavo pull off a timely victory and boost their confidence ahead of their showdowns at No Mercy? Or will the recent upturn in fortunes continue for Van Dam, Rey, London and Kendrick?

And finally, last week saw the return of Bobby Lashley and in a big way as the ‘Real Deal’ took down JBL in devastating fashion, seemingly accepting the First Blood match for No Mercy. Tonight Lashley returns to action and will no doubt be looking to send a message to the Wall Street Warrior.

Confirmed for tonight’s Smackdown:

Kurt Angle vs The Undertaker

WWE United States Championship:
(Best of Five Series: Match One)
Matt Hardy© vs Carlito

MNM, Gregory Helms and Chavo Guerrero vs Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Paul London and Brian Kendrick

Plus;

Bobby Lashley will be in action
