Just a current WWE thread set after Over The Limit, with Raw and Smackdown to be both recapped for the time being. A few things to note, divas can appear on both brands and a few superstars were taken off the main roster (you can decide their fate). So yeah, I'm just gonna hope this one sticks.
WWE Over The Limit (May 22, 2011)

Match One: Sin Cara defeated Chavo Guerrero with the Sin Tacha. After the match, Brodus Clay came out and attacked Cara and he and Guerrero beat him down but NXT competitors Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman came out for the save.

Match Two: R-Truth defeated Rey Mysterio with the Corkscrew Scissors Kick (the Shut Up) after burning him with a cigarette behind the referee’s back. Truth beat Rey down after the match.

Match Three: Kelly Kelly defeated Brie Bella with the K2 to win the WWE Divas Championship. After the match Kharma came out and laid out Brie and Kelly nailed her with a dropkick before running way.

Match Four: CM Punk and Mason Ryan defeated Kane and The Big Show after a GTS on Kane to win the WWE Tag Team Championships. Before the match, CM Punk denounced David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty from the Nexus, leaving himself and Mason Ryan.

Match Five: Ezekiel Jackson defeated Wade Barrett by disqualification after interference from The Corre. Wade Barrett therefore retained his Intercontinental Championship. However, Shelton Benjamin came out to save Zeke and clear the ring of The Corre in his return to the WWE.

Match Six: Jerry Lawler defeated Michael Cole in a ‘kiss my foot’ match after a piledriver. During the match, Tyler Reks interfered on Cole’s behalf but Jack Swagger came out for the save, taking out Reks and nailing Cole with a Gutwrench Powerbomb. After the match, Cole kissed King’s foot as the stipulation demanded.

Match Seven: John Cena defeated The Miz in an ‘I Quit’ match to retain the WWE Championship after threatening to hit him with an Attitude Adjustment off the titantron. Before the match, Alex Riley told Miz that he was tired of being a lackey before slapping him and tearing up his contract to be on Raw.

Main Event: Christian defeated Randy Orton with the Killswitch to win the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Christian celebrated with the fans but Orton took him out with the RKO out of nowhere.

I enjoy reading your BTB, but i think you could be more creative. There's more ways to building up a WWE Title feud then just an opening segment followed by a main event match where there is interference. You could be more interesting, for example see how they booked Cm Punk vs John Cena at MITB or SS. But overall i like your BTB.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Monday Night Raw (May 23, 2011)

John Cena’s music plays to open the show and there are huge cheers as the WWE Champ makes his way to the ring. He talks about his victory over The Miz at Over The Limit, saying that a lot of people are surprised that he kept his title. He says that the most surprising this that happened was Alex Riley finally growing a pair and ditching The Miz, and footage is shown of Riley slapping and deserting his mentor. Cena says that The Miz is too scared to turn up tonight but then Alberto Del Rio’s music plays.

Del Rio walks down to the ring with Ricardo Rodriguez but without his expensive car. He gets into the ring and says that he wasn’t even at Over The Limit, which is a real travesty. He recalls Cena saying The Miz isn’t here tonight so he will need a new contender. Del Rio proposes that the new number one contender be he. He starts to talk himself up but then R-Truth’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Truth talks about how he first disposed of John Morrison and then, last night, Rey Mysterio as well. Truth says that Rey may not be able to wrestle ever again after the injuries he sustained thanks to him. He says that if there’s going to be a new contender, it should be him. Del Rio disagrees and the two heels begin to argue, before Jack Swagger’s music plays and he comes out to a mixed reaction.

Swagger talks about Over The Limit, where he finally ditched Michael Cole and footage is shown of him powerbombing the announcer. He gets cheered as he disses Cole and says that he really did respect Jerry Lawler as a competitor, he was just following orders. He says that now he realised that he was doing the wrong thing and he is ready to fight for himself. He calls Truth and Del Rio losers and says that he should be the new number one contender.

Jerry Lawler’s music then plays and the competitors in the ring are confused at first but he stands on the stage and says that in congratulations for his victory at Over The Limit, Vince McMahon has appointed him General Manager of Raw. The crowd cheers as King smiles and says that as his first act, he is going to find John Cena a contender for the next pay per view, Capitol Punishment. He announces a triple threat match for tonight with Alberto Del Rio taking on R-Truth taking on Jack Swagger, with the winner to face Cena at Capitol Punishment.

Commercial Break

Match One: Kelly Kelly defeats Brie Bella after the K2, in a similiar match to their one at Over The Limit. After the match, Kharma comes out and walks to the ring, going after Kelly. The champion goes for a dropkick but this time Kharma swats her away. She lifts Kelly up for the Implant Buster but Kelly wriggles out and manages to escape, retreating up the ramp. Kharma looks pissed and has to settle with nailing Brie Bella with an Implant Buster instead.

We go backstage to where Zack Ryder is talking to John Cena. Ryder tells Cena that he’s finally coming back to Raw because Jerry Lawler is letting him have a match tonight. Cena congratulates him and says good luck as Ryder also congratulates Cena and tells him that The Miz is probably at home sulking. Cena laughs and walks off as Ryder continues warming up.

Commercial Break

When we return, CM Punk’s music plays and the new WWE Tag Team Champion makes his way to the ring with his partner, Mason Ryan. The crowd boos as Punk takes the mic and he says that the duo won the titles from The Big Show and Kane last week because they shed some excess baggage. He calls David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty that baggage and tells the audience that they won’t be seeing those faces anytime soon.

He says that the power that comes with numbers is important and for that reason, he is inducting two new members to the group. Firstly, he introduces whom he calls his protégé, Seth Rollins, and the long-haired and bearded man formerly known as Tyler Black joins Punk and Ryan in the ring. Punk then introduces a man that the audience already knows and Joseph Mercury makes his way to the ring to join the others.

Punk asks the crowd if they see where this is going. He says that the days of The Nexus are over. He says that he was at his strongest when he was with a different group, one called The Straight Edge Society. He announces the group as officially back together, with Mercury in it from last time and Rollins having adopted the straight edge lifestyle when Punk met him a few years ago. Punk says that there is one more step before the society is complete.

He says that it is time for Mason Ryan to make his commitment to the straight edge lifestyle with the symbolic ritual, the shaving of his head. Punk grabs a razor and the crowd boos as he begins to shave the head of Mason Ryan, who naturally obliges. Once he is finished, Ryan is entirely bald except for a small beard, a feature that all four men have in common.

Punk says he hopes that the new Straight Edge Society will be taken seriously and he says that to prove that he means business, he is allowing any team to challenge the two new members, Rollins and Mercury. Big Show answers the challenge and he tells Punk that he and Kane want the titles back. Punk says that Kane was drafted to Smackdown and now that they’re no longer champions, he can’t appear on Raw. Big Show says that for now, he has found a replacement and Evan Bourne runs down to the ring to accompany him.

Match Two: Seth Rollins and Joseph Mercury defeat The Big Show and Evan Bourne after Rollins hits the God’s Last Gift on Bourne. Big Show was previously taken out by an unseen interference from Mason Ryan. After the match, The Straight Edge Society boot Show out of the ring and CM Punk nails Evan Bourne with the GTS, making a statement to the rest of the roster.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Zack Ryder defeats Primo in his return to Raw with the Zack Attack, getting a solid amount of cheers for his efforts.

We go backstage to where R-Truth is with Scott Stanford. He rambles about how John Cena thinks he’s black and thinks he can rap and calls him all sorts of names. He says that one name people won’t be calling John after Capitol Punishment will be champion, because he will beat him. He says that John Morrison and Rey Mysterio are roommates at the same hospital and there’s a bed with Cena’s name on it.

Commercial Break

Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero come down to the ring to masses of heat. Guerrero tells the crowd to excuse her, creatively enough, and let her hubby Ziggler speak. Dolph Ziggler says that a few weeks ago he underwent a makeover, where he cut his hair and remodeled his attitude. Ziggler says that he is hungrier than ever and that the perfect accessory for his new look would be the United States Championship. He tells Kofi to get out here but instead he gets Drew McIntyre’s music and The Chosen One makes his way to the ring.

McIntyre says that since he’s debuted he’s impressed nearly everybody watching him perform. He says that Vince McMahon is still watching over him and he’s at his happiest when he is wearing gold. McIntyre says that if anyone is challenging for the United States Championship, it is going to be him. Before he can further his argument, Jerry Lawler comes out and says that although they would both make good contenders, he is choosing to let Kofi Kingston decide who his next contender will be.

Kofi comes out to cheers with his title and he says that he isn’t exactly friends with either Ziggler or McIntyre. He says that he won’t be naming a contender tonight and says that he will give them two weeks to prove themselves, starting tonight. Jerry Lawler chimes in, saying that he has the perfect way to have them showcase their talents- making them team up. He announces the match of Drew and Dolph taking on Koztino, right now!

Match Four: Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler defeat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov after McIntyre nailed Santino with the Future Shock DDT. After the match, instead of celebrating, Ziggler nails Drew with the Zig-Zag and points at Kofi’s title before celebrating with Vickie.

Commercial Break

Main Event
: R-Truth defeats Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio in a triple threat match to become the number one contender to the WWE Championship after a Shut Up to Swagger, who previously took out Del Rio with a Gutwrench Powerbomb. After the match, John Cena walks out onto the stage and has a stare down with Truth, his new opponent for Capitol Punishment.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Friday Night Smackdown (May 27, 2011)

The show begins not with the new champion Christian, but with former champion Randy Orton making his way to the ring to a mixed reaction. He tells the production team to roll footage of Over The Limit, where Christian defeated Orton cleanly, only to suffer an RKO after the match. Orton says that the RKO represented his frustration with losing the match. He says that nobody in the audience knows what it feels like to win a title and then have it snatched away from you before you can even grow to appreciate it.

Christian’s music plays and he interrupts, saying that what Randy described is exactly what happened to him after Extreme Rules, and his title got taken away before his name could even be engraved on it. Christian says that luckily, he got a second chance and it paid off. Orton says that the only reason that Christian has that title is because of luck. Orton says that Christian caught him on an off day and that any other time he would have lost. Randy says that he wants his rematch at Capitol Punishment.

Theodore Long, the Smackdown General Manager, interrupts and says that he agrees with Orton, believing that he should get his rematch at Capitol Punishment. However, he says that the two have faced each other twice now with the results going either way, so it’s time to heat things up. He says that Christian and Orton’s match will be a thirty-minute ironman match! Teddy says that they both had better get working on their stamina and he holla’s before leaving as the crowd cheers.

Commercial Break

We go backstage to where Alex Riley is with Jack Korpela for an interview. He talks about how great it feels to finally be able to pursue his own dreams and stop acting as a lackey for The Miz. He says that the slap at Over The Limit was the best thing he ever did and he looks forward to a great future on Smackdown.

Match One: Wade Barrett defeats Yoshi Tatsu in a squash after the Wasteland. After the match, Ezekiel Jackson comes out and announces his intentions for a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. Barrett says no but Zeke says he will go through the whole Corre. Barrett agrees to this, saying that if Ezekiel can beat Slater, Gabriel and he in a handicap match next week he will get a shot at his Intercontinental Championship.

Commercial Break

Sheamus comes to the ring to booing from the crowd. He talks about how Teddy Long has already announced the World Heavyweight Championship match for Over The Limit and it is outrageous. He says that neither he, nor anybody else apart from Christian and Orton is getting a shot at the title.

Teddy Long interrupts and he says that he understands where Sheamus is coming from. The GM announces a fatal four-way match for Capitol Punishment with the winner becoming the new number one contender for the title. Sheamus asks who will participate in the match and Teddy says that people will need to earn contention, starting with Sheamus, who will participate in a qualifying match right now!

Match Two: Sheamus defeats The Great Khali to earn a spot in the number one contendership fatal four way at Capitol Punishment, after the Brogue Kick. After the match, Jinder Mahal once again comes out and he kicks Khali while he is down, before spitting on him and walking away to boos.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Sin Cara defeats Ted DiBiase to earn a spot in the number one contendership fatal four way at Capitol Punishment, after the Sin Tacha. Cody Rhodes accompanies Ted DiBiase to the ring and after he loses, he forced him to wear a paper bag as he leaves.

Chavo Guerrero comes to the ring with Brodus Clay. He says that he debuted his new ‘business associate’ big Brodus at Over The Limit but two certain individuals had to ruin the moment. Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman are invited to the ring and sure enough, the two walk out onto the stage to a pop.

Chavo says that they had some nerve picking on the new most powerful duo on Smackdown and Derrick replies by saying that Chavo is a joke and the last time he won a match was 2007. Chavo seems furious at this and he challenges Bateman to a match, which is accepted. Bateman tells Chavo that he will be demolished but Guerrero laughs and says that he isn’t the one that is going to be in the match; instead Bateman will be taking on Brodus Clay.

Commercial Break

Match Four: Brodus Clay defeats Derrick Bateman with the ICU, a splash from the second rope, in a short match. After the match, Chavo and Brodus attempt to beat Bateman down but Curtis clears them from the ring and helps his partner.

We go backstage to where Shelton Benjamin is in Teddy Long’s office. The GM congratulates him on returning to the WWE and choosing to come back to Smackdown. Shelton thanks him and says that there would be no better welcome back present than a chance to compete to be the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Long says that he’ll see what he can do.

Match Five: Melina defeats Gail Kim with the Last Call in what would be regarded as a very good divas match. After the match, Kharma comes out and lays out Melina with an Implant Buster. She looks to do the same to Gail but Kelly Kelly runs out and kicks Kharma in the back, forcing her to drop Gail. Kelly helps Kim out of the ring and the two faces retreat from an irate Kharma.

Commercial Break

Main Event: Christian, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and Ezekiel Jackson defeat The Corre and Mark Henry after Christian nails Slater with the Killswitch amidst a period of chaos, only for Orton to tag himself in and make the pin. After the match, Christian gets in Orton’s face only to suffer an RKO. There is a mixed reaction as Orton celebrates to end the show.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Monday Night Raw (May 30, 2011)

We open the show with the WWE Champion, who gets a great pop as he gets into the ring. He talks about facing R-Truth in a title match at Capitol Punishment, saying that last week Truth called him a wannabe black man. Cena replies to this by saying that Truth is a wannabe contender and out of the three men who participated in last week’s main event, he hates Truth the most. He says that he can’t respect a man who turns his back on his fans.

Truth comes out to heat and says that Cena is trippin’ because the fans aren’t worth jack. He says that pandering to the stupid fans got him nowhere and if by a wannabe contender he means that Truth wants to be a title contender more than anything, then he is right. Truth says that he is taking Cena’s title at Capitol Punishment and he hopes to see a lot of his former fans crying when he takes the title belt as his own.

Cena says that people like Truth aren’t successful because their heart is in the wrong place. He tells Truth to look at The Miz, who’s still injured from their ‘I Quit’ match at Over The Limit. He says that Miz and Truth are one in the same, self-centered, egotistical cowards who have to attack people when they’re down because they don’t have the balls to fight themselves.

Truth says Cena is wrong about only striking while someone’s back is turned and he immediately clocks him in the forehead with the microphone. Cena falls to the mat as Truth begins beating him down with the mic, before dropping it and deciding to stomp on him instead. The crowd boos as Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler walks out onto the stage. He tells Truth to save his energy because later tonight, he and Cena will be in the main event. It will be R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio taking on John Cena and Jack Swagger!

Commercial Break

Match One: Seth Rollins and Joseph Mercury defeat Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov after Mercury hits Marella with a hangman’s neckbreaker called The Virginia Necktie. After the match The Straight Edge Society beats down Koztino and CM Punk takes a microphone.

Punk tells the Raw roster that if they’re not already scared after the last two weeks, they’re either blind or very stupid. He says that the reign of the society is just beginning and tonight’s casualties were the first of many. He says that he is implementing ‘The Freebird Rule,’ meaning that any members of The Straight Edge Society can defend the WWE Tag Team Titles, and all four are technically the champions at any given time.

Big Show interrupts to a pop and he says that it doesn’t matter if there’s four people technically holding the title, he will go through all of them to get the title back. He gets in the ring and gets in Punk’s face as he tells him that he’s not blind and not stupid and he is definitely not scared of him or his army of beards. Punk smiles sarcastically and says that Show must be even stupider than he realizes.

Suddenly Punk motions to the society and all three other members jump The Big Show. The crowd boos as Punk laughs and joins in on the assault, making it a four on one beat-down. Out of nowhere though, pyros explode from the ring and Kane’s music plays and the crowd goes wild as The Big Red Machine appears on the stage. He walks to the ring as the society stop what they are doing and as Kane slides into the ring they leave altogether. Kane glares at the retreating society as Punk shouts about him not being allowed to be on Raw, saying that he will get him fired.

Commercial Break

Match Two: Zack Ryder defeats Tyler Reks after the Zack Attack. Once again he gets a nice pop during his entrance and also upon winning the match.

We go backstage to where Scott Stanford is with Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez. When Del Rio is asked about his loss in last week’s main event he says that he only has one man to blame and that is Jack Swagger. He says that the entire match was unfair and Jack Swagger attacked him when his back was turned. Scott mentions something about the rules but Del Rio says that the rules are irrelevant. He says that Jack Swagger will get what his coming to him tonight in the main event.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Kelly Kelly defeats Maryse after the K2. After the match Kharma comes out and first of all nails Maryse with the Awesome Bomb, before turning her attention to Kelly. The Divas Champion looks initially brave and even manages to catch Kharma with a punch, but after it hardly fazes her she tries to escape, only to be caught. Kharma nails Kelly with a spinebuster before standing over her and making title belt motions.

Dolph Ziggler is backstage with Vickie Guerrero and he reminds her of what happened last week when he tagged with McIntyre and took him out after their victory. Vickie congratulates him and says that he would have definitely impressed Kofi Kingston with his efforts. Ziggler calls himself the next United States Champion before Drew McIntyre walks into view.

McIntyre says that he is a noble man and would not hit a man when he is standing with his lady. He however says that the next time Ziggler is anywhere near him and a ring, he should watch himself. Dolph says that he isn’t scared and Drew says that if he is underestimated, a United States title shot will be the least of his worries. Drew walks off as Ziggler looks slightly nervous, yet still trying to remain smug and confident in front of Vickie.

Commercial Break

Match Four: Dolph Ziggler defeats Evan Bourne by disqualification after Drew McIntyre interferes and lays him out with the Future Shock. After the match he smiles at a distraught Vickie Guerrero and stares down Kofi Kingston, who is on commentary, and making motions signaling that he wants his title.

We go backstage to where Jack Swagger is walking down a corridor getting ready for his match. He sees Ricardo Rodriguez who attracts his attention and distracts him, drawing him out of the sight of the camera. Suddenly we hear a bang and a shout and as the camera turns we see Swagger laid out on the floor, clutching his knee in pain.

Commercial Break

When we return John Cena is in the ring and he said that he just found out that Jack Swagger has been rushed to hospital after an attack by Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio comes out with Ricardo Rodriguez and R-Truth and denies attacking Swagger, but he smirks and says that he is glad that “somebody” took him out of the picture and we’ll have to wait for proof of who that “somebody” is and that could take days. Truth says that it looks like Cena will be wrestling in a handicap match but Cena says that he managed to find someone else roaming around backstage. Rey Mysterio runs out to a big pop as Cena’s replacement partner!

Main Event: John Cena and Rey Mysterio defeat R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio after Mysterio nails Del Rio with a 619 and Cena pins him after an Attitude Adjustment. After the match, Truth produces a lead pipe and uses it to attack Mysterio and Cena, as Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez join in with the assault. Suddenly Jack Swagger unexpectedly runs, or limps, out for the save but after getting a few shots in on the heels, he succumbs to the foreign object and also becomes a recipient of the beat down. Truth and Del Rio stand tall over the fan favourites as Raw ends with a furious crowd.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Friday Night Smackdown (June 03, 2011)

The show opens with The Corre coming out and Wade Barrett saying that although he holds the Intercontinental Championship with more prestige than anyone before him, he says for a group as dominant as theirs, one title is not enough. He announces his intentions to go for the World Heavyweight Championship, saying that he wouldn’t be the first man to hold both titles at once. He says that unfortunately for Ezekiel Jackson, that would mean that his chance at getting a shot at the Intercontinental title would be pushed back a week and he sincerely apologizes for this.

Big Zeke comes out and says that he is tired of waiting and he is tired of playing games. He tells Barrett to give him a shot at his title, no handicaps, no disqualifications and no Justin Gabriel or Heath Slater. Barrett says that where he goes, The Corre goes because they are a unit; something that Ezekiel would no doubt know himself. Zeke asks Gabriel and Slater what they are doing, and if they are really happy that they are standing in the background while Wade does all the talking and competes for all the titles.

Barrett says that they are perfectly happy but then Teddy Long comes out and he says that there’s a lot going on and he wants a chance to take in the situation. He says that Barrett promised Ezekiel a chance to get a shot at his title in a handicap match, which was accepted. He says that Wade wants a chance to qualify for the number one contendership fatal four way at Capitol Punishment and he is willing to give him that chance on one condition.

Barrett barks at Teddy saying to get to the point and the GM says that he is willing to give Barrett his match tonight if Zeke still gets his as well. Wade is confused and Teddy clarifies by saying that Ezekiel will compete in a handicap match against the two other members of The Corre and if he wins, he gets a shot at Wade’s Intercontinental title. Wade initially refuses but Long tells him that he has to accept if he wants a chance to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship, forcing him to reluctantly accept his proposition. Teddy tells Wade that he will have to face not one but two opponents to qualify for the fatal four way, and his match will be up next!

Commercial Break

Match One: Cody Rhodes defeats Shelton Benjamin and Wade Barrett to qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship number one contendership fatal four way at Capitol Punishment, after hitting the Cross Rhodes on Shelton. Barrett previously was hit with the Paydirt by Shelton after being distracted by Ezekiel Jackson, taking him out of the match’s conclusion. After the match, Cody celebrates his sneaky victory with Ted DiBiase by his side as Ezekiel Jackson laughs at The Corre and points at Barrett’s title belt, saying it will soon be his.

We go backstage to where Jinder Mahal is walking and he receives a small amount of booing. The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh approach him and Singh says that Khali wants an explanation. Mahal says that ever since Khali started dancing around he’s been a disgrace to the entire country of India. Khali shouts something angrily in Punjabi and Mahal replies by trying to slap him, only to have his arm blocked and suffer a massive chop to the head. Jinder falls to the ground as Singh and an angry looking Khali walk away.

Commercial Break

Match Two: Alex Riley defeats Jimmy Uso in a squash match after the TKO he calls the You’re Dismissed, getting a solid pop in his first Smackdown match.

We go backstage to Jack Korpela who is with Randy Orton and the crowd gives him a mixed reaction upon seeing him. Korpela questions Orton’s motives about last week’s main event, where he tagged himself in to win the match and nailed Christian with an RKO after the match. Orton says that when he lost his title, it stopped being about respect and started being about revenge.

He acknowledges the fact that Christian probably has more respect for him than he does for Christian, but he says that nobody is more dangerous when they’re angry than Randy Orton. He compares himself to a time bomb except nobody can predict when he will go off. He says that when he does, however, he will go off right in Christian’s face and he will suffer the consequences. He says that he could have punted Christian in the head at the end of last week but he says that he can’t defend his title if he’s in the hospital. He ends the interview by warning Christian that his days as a champion are numbered.

Commercial Break

Chavo Guerrero comes to the ring with Brodus Clay and reminds everyone of the way that his “associate” destroyed Derrick Bateman last week, showing footage of his victory. He says that if anybody else wants to try and take him on, then feel free. Derrick Bateman’s music plays and he and Johnny Curtis walk out to the ring and Curtis says that he’s willing to take on the challenge.

Chavo laughs and calls him stupid but Curtis says that the fans are on his side and that he believes he can conquer the odds. Brodus tells him to bring it on but all of a sudden is he nailed with a dropkick to the back from Bateman. He falls to his knees and Curtis uses the advantage to nail him with a DDT. Chavo runs at the team but they use his momentum to nail him with a double flapjack. The heels roll out of the ring as Bateman and Curtis celebrate in front of a cheering crowd. Chavo tells them to wait for next week, saying that Big Brodus Clay will destroy them.

Match Three: Daniel Bryan defeats Mark Henry to qualify for the number one contendership fatal four way at Capitol Punishment with a Diving Elbow Drop, paying tribute to the late Randy Savage.

Commercial Break

Match Four: Ezekiel Jackson defeats Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel after Gabriel tapped to the Torture Rack, while a horrified Wade Barrett watched on from ringside. After the match, Big Zeke said that he would see Wade at Capitol Punishment and said that he should enjoy his last few weeks as champion.

We go backstage to where the World Heavyweight Champion Christian is with Jack Korpela, who asks him about last week’s main event. He says that Randy Orton was right when he says that he respects Orton, but he is a little disappointed that the respect isn’t mutual. He says that after Orton took his title after only five days he didn’t sulk about it or hit below the belt, he just used it as a motivator to work even harder to get the title belt.

He holds up the World Heavyweight Championship and says that it shows everyone his efforts, how hard he’s worked these past few months. He says that he never thought he would be standing here as a two time world champion. He says that he was originally booked to team up with Randy Orton again in the main event, but Orton personally had it changed. He says that he’s glad to have a partner that respect him in Sin Cara and he says that the respect is mutual. Christian says that Orton may have got his way tonight but to get the World Heavyweight Championship he’s going to have to do more than demand it; he’s going to have to beat him and Christian says that it just isn’t going to happen.

Commercial Break

Main Event: Christian and Sin Cara defeat Randy Orton and Sheamus after Christian nails Sheamus with the Killswitch and Cara hits him with a Springboard Moonsault for the pin. After the match, Orton tries to nail Christian with the RKO but the champ manages to push him away into the ropes. Christian grabs his title and leaves the ring without attempting to return the favour to Orton, and The Viper’s frustration leads to RKOs for both Sheamus and Cara. The show ends with Christian’s music playing and the two Capitol Punishment opponents staring each other down.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Monday Night Raw (June 06, 2011)

We open the show with number one contender to the WWE Championship, R-Truth, who is smoking a cigarette as we join him. Even as the cameras are on him he continues puffing away for half a minute. When a crewmember alerts him to the fact the show has started, he shouts at him, saying that he knows but he doesn’t have to stop what he’s doing at the beck and call of the fans. Truth says that he’s gonna smoke what he wants, when he wants and he says he’s gonna smoke John Cena at Capitol Punishment.

Truth puts out the cigarette and casually throws it to the outside. He says that this is his first shot at the WWE Championship and he says that it’s a long time coming, but he probably deserved to wait this long because back when he was dancing and rapping like a fool he was too stupid to deserve a title shot. He says that he is stupid no more and that he is smart enough to beat John Cena. He says that John Cena isn’t a smart man himself because he listens to the fans.

Cena comes out to a massive ovation and he says that listening to the fans got him to 10 world titles and he wouldn’t take back a minute of his last few years. He says that Truth might have been more successful before is he was a better rapper. Truth calls Cena ‘Vanilla Ice’ and tells him that if he’s looking for a rap battle, to look elsewhere. Cena says that he’s not looking for a rap battle, or a dance off, he’s looking for a fight.

Footage rolls of last week where R-Truth used a lead pipe to attack John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger after the main event. Cena says that he’s been angry with a lot of people in his career, but only a few times has he been this angry. Cena says that he can’t wait for Capitol Punishment to finally give Truth what he deserves. Truth says that what we saw at the end of last week will be exactly what we will see at the end of Capitol Punishment, instead this time he will be holding up his brand new WWE Championship.

Jerry Lawler comes out and the Raw General Manager says that he has a massive main event for tonight and both competitors will be involved. He says that both John Cena and R-Truth will have to find themselves two partners for the main event, because they will go head to head as team captains in a six-man tag team match. He tells Truth and Cena to start searching for partners.

Commercial Break

Match One: Kelly Kelly defeats Eve Torres after the K2. After the match, Kharma comes out and instead of pummeling either of the divas, she points first at herself, then at Kelly, then at the Divas Championship, then at the Capitol Punishment logo up in the arena. Kelly shakes her head nervously but then Kharma picks up Eve and threatens to slam her down. Kelly tries to tell her to stop but Kharma keeps Torres up in position, forcing Kelly to change her mind and nod her head. Kharma smiles and tosses Eve to the ground before walking away with a devilish smile on her face.

We go backstage to John Cena, who is talking to Zack Ryder. He asks Ryder whether he is available as a partner but Zack says he is already booked in a match. Cena, however, is then approached by Rey Mysterio who says he would love nothing more than to get his hands on R-Truth. Cena accepts Rey’s offer and says that he has found his first teammate.

Commercial Break

CM Punk comes to the ring with The Straight Edge Society and he reminds the audience of how Kane appeared on Raw last week. He says that Kane is a Smackdown superstar and now that he isn’t a champion anymore, he isn’t allowed to appear on Raw. He demands that Jerry Lawler get out and take action on this blatant breach of the rules.

Lawler comes out and says that Punk is right, that Kane technically isn’t allowed to appear on Raw, and if it happens again he will reluctantly be forced to take further action. He says that in return for last week, Punk can choose any opponent for The Big Show to face for tonight. Punk smiles and he immediately chooses Mason Ryan, but Seth Rollins interjects, saying that he wants a chance. CM Punk nods and mulls over the decision before giving the rookie the chance to face Show. Lawler says that it will be Seth Rollins versus The Big Show, and it will be now!

Match Two: The Big Show defeats Seth Rollins by disqualification after interference from The Straight Edge Society. After the match, there is a four on one beat down on Show, who is helpless, as Kane isn’t allowed to make an appearance and try and save him. The beat down continues for a few minutes, with Show having to be stretchered off after sustaining too much pain.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston defeat Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre after Kofi rolled up Dolph when Drew jumped off the apron as he was to be tagged. After the match, Drew jumps onto the apron to presumably antagonize Dolph but Kofi dropkicks him back down to the floor. He says that neither McIntyre not Ziggler have impressed him over the last three weeks and that he’s giving them one last chance next week to prove themselves worthy of a title shot.

We go backstage to where Jack Swagger is standing with Scott Stanford for an interview and his leg is taped up. Swagger says that he is bandaged because of Del Rio attacking him last week twice, first early in the show and then after the main event. He says that Alberto isn’t very different to Michael Cole in the way they fight and he calls them both cowards. He challenges Del Rio to a match at Capitol Punishment and says that if he wants to be a man for once, he should accept the challenge. John Cena then walks into the picture and calls Swagger away as the two begin to talk.

Commercial Break

Kelly Kelly is backstage in the divas locker room stretching when Jerry Lawler walks in and tells her that he regrets to inform her that she will be defending her title at Capitol Punishment. King pats her on the back and tells her that she already knows whom she will be facing. Kelly looks nervous as Lawler walks away making some mumbled comment about “puppies.” The Divas Champion turns around but standing right behind her is Kharma and Kelly jumps as the camera immediately cuts away.

Match Four: Zack Ryder defeats Curt Hawkins after nailing his former partner with the Zack Attack; taking his record up to three consecutive wins.

We go backstage where Alberto Del Rio is talking to Ricardo Rodriguez and he says that Jack Swagger has some nerve challenging him. He says that nobody gets away with calling him a coward and for that, he accepts his challenge for a match. He says that Jack Swagger will learn what it feels like to be in the ring with someone from a real wrestling pedigree. He says that amateur trophies are nothing compared to bloodlines.

Suddenly R-Truth walks up and he says that Cena already has a team for the main event and that he needs partners fast. He says that Cena is partnering with Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger and immediately Del Rio has interest on joining Truth’s team, saying that he wants to teach Swagger a lesson and make him regret challenging him. Truth is glad but he says that they need to find one more partner before the main event so they walk off in search with the limited time they have left.

Commercial Break

Main Event: R-Truth, Alberto Del Rio and The Miz defeat John Cena, Jack Swagger and Rey Mysterio after Truth nails Mysterio with the Shut Up. The Miz returned after his Over The Limit match as Truth’s second partner. After the match, Truth got out the lead pipe and planned to attack Cena but this time John Morrison ran out for the save, returning from injury to a big pop! Morrison disarmed Truth and with the help of the other three faces, cleared the ring. Raw ends with Morrison, Cena, Swagger and Mysterio all standing tall over the heels to a massive ovation.

Friday Night Smackdown (June 10, 2011)

We open the show with Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long, who reminds us that later tonight we will have the contract signing for the World Heavyweight Championship match at Capitol Punishment, featuring champion Christian and challenger Randy Orton in a 30 Minute Iron Man match. He also says that we have some special guests from Raw, as he introduces to Smackdown The Straight Edge Society.

CM Punk, Mason Ryan, Seth Rollins and Joseph Mercury make their way to the ring getting a lot of heat. Punk says that last week on Raw, Kane happened to make a little appearance to save his partner The Big Show. He says that the move was costly because this week he was banned from Raw and Punk rolls footage of the Society beating down Show this past Raw, causing him to be stretchered off.

Punk says that all four members of the Society are champions so they are all allowed on Smackdown as they wish. He says that now the former champions in Big Show and Kane are disposed of, the Society is looking for new challengers. Punk warns the Smackdown roster to come out now if they want a shot at the titles, but to do so at their own risk.

Pyros explode and Kane comes out, but CM Punk immediately says that Kane doesn’t have a partner and therefore can’t compete for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Kane says that this isn’t about titles, it is about avenging his partner and he challenges Punk to a match tonight.

Punk smirks and says that Kane has pretty much backed himself into a 4 on 1 scenario but The Big Red Monster isn’t scared. Punk says that on any other night he would let a teammate take the match but tonight he wants to go himself. Theodore Long checks the match with both competitors and then announces CM Punk taking on Kane, for right after the break!

Commercial Break

Match One: CM Punk defeats Kane after the GTS in a clean victory that was albeit marred by sporadic interference from the SES. After the match, Punk’s stable-mates rush the ring and attack Kane much like they did to The Big Show on Raw. Because of Show’s incapacitation nobody is out to save Kane and after a lengthy beating he suffers the same fate as his partner- having to be stretchered away.

We go backstage to where Smackdown interviewer is with Jinder Mahal. Mahal says that The Great Khali used to be the most feared superstar in the WWE. He mentions the fact that Khali is a former World Champion and used to be main eventing pay per views. Now, he says, Khali is a joke and no longer the monster he used to be. Mahal says that under the guidance of Ranjin Singh, Khali has sacrificed his intimidation for the fans’ appreciation. He challenges Khali to join him instead and with his help he can go back to being the terrifying force that he was once in the WWE.

Commercial Break

Match Two: Brodus Clay defeats Yoshi Tatsu after the ICU in a squash. After the match Chavo Guerrero praises his associate and challenges Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis to come out and face them, man to man. The tag team from NXT appears and makes their way down to the ring, but this time Clay and Chavo attack them as they get into the ring, knocking them to the outside. Clay throws Bateman into the ring barrier and then Curtis into the ring, where Chavo lays him out with a Frog Splash. Chavo and Brodus celebrate together at the carnage they have caused.

We go backstage to where Wade Barrett is shouting at Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, asking them how they could have let Ezekiel Jackson win last week. Gabriel says that maybe poor leadership is the issue and Barrett says that he has been nothing short of outstanding as a leader, which is why he is the Intercontinental Champion. Slater asks where his and Gabriel’s titles are and he says that it used to be better when there were no leaders. Barrett shoots him a dirty look as he walks away fuming.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Alex Riley defeats Tyson Kidd after the You’re Dismissed in a short match. After the match as Riley celebrates, Kidd’s manager Michael Hayes slides him a steel chair and he uses it to nail Riley in the back. Kidd and Hayes celebrate together before leaving to the booing crowd.

We go backstage to where Shelton Benjamin is talking to Ezekiel Jackson, the man to face Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship at Capitol Punishment. Benjamin says that he knows that Big Zeke is outnumbered 3 to 1 against The Corre, so if he ever runs into trouble, he has his back. Ezekiel thanks him but he says that after what’s been going on recently, he doesn’t know whether The Corre as a unit will even make it to Capitol Punishment.

Match Four: Jinder Mahal defeats Yoshi Tatsu after the fireman’s carry double knee gutbuster he calls the Sands of Time. After the match, The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh make their way to the ring and get into the ring opposite Mahal. Jinder stands opposite Khali and extends his hand but instead of a shake he gets picked up by the throat and nailed with the Khali Bomb as the crowd cheers.

Commercial Break

When we return, Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring accompanied by his lackey Ted DiBiase. He says that instead of handing out paper bags tonight he will be handing out truths. He says that the first truth is that he and Sheamus will beat Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan tonight. He says the second truth is that he will become the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship at Capitol Punishment. He then says the third is that he will then beat either Randy Orton or Christian to become Champion.

Sheamus comes out and says that Cody only got one out of three. He says that tonight they are partners but at Capitol Punishment they become opponents and that Sheamus will spare nothing. Sheamus says that unlike Cody, he knows what it’s like to be a champion because he’s been there twice before. He says that he has the strength, the skill and the experience in victories to win the fatal four way at Capitol Punishment.

Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara make their way onto the stage and while Cara just points, Bryan says that neither Cody Rhodes nor Sheamus are going to win. He says that he is the perfect example of heart in the WWE and that’s why he deserves to win at the pay per view. Sheamus calls him a nerd and Bryan says that it’s a bit hypocritical coming from someone who looks just like a ‘bad comic book villain.’ Bryan and Cara get into the ring and Daniel says that they can talk all they want, but in the end their wrestling will do the talking.

Main Event: Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara defeat Sheamus and Cody Rhodes by Disqualification after Ted DiBiase attacked Daniel Bryan as he had Cody in the LeBell Lock. After the match, DiBiase, Sheamus and Rhodes clear the ring of Cara and Bryan but then Rhodes turns on his partner as he and DiBiase kick him to the ground, before Ted holds him for Cody to nail him with the Cross Rhodes.

Commercial Break

When we come back, Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long is in the ring once again and he introduces both Christian and Randy Orton as the two competitors at Capitol Punishment. He says that the match is booked as a 30 Minute Iron Man match, one of the most physically taxing in the WWE catalogue. He says that they have any final chances to walk away before the contract is signed and the match is made official and both men shake their heads.

He says that it is the challenger’s job to sign the contract first and invites Orton to the table. Randy looks up at Christian and smiles devilishly before signing the contract. Long then invites either man to say some last words to their opponent before the match is made official. Christian says that he’s not one for chitchat and just wants to sign the contract and make this match official. He says that he’s ready to teach Randy a lesson.

Orton chimes in, saying that Christian is hallucinating and that he doesn’t know what he’s in for. He says that he is a Legend Killer and has ended countless tenures in his span in the WWE. He asks if Christian wants to be another statistic on Orton’s list of destroyed careers. Christian laughs and says that Orton seems to be underestimating him as a champion. He says that he knows Orton has held many titles for many months and Christian has only held two titles for under a month altogether, but he says that he has held his titles with more heart than Orton has.

Orton says that Christian’s heart won’t get him anywhere, if anything it will get in his way of victory at Capitol Punishment. Orton says that he has always been so successful because he has no heart, he doesn’t care about his opponents and when it comes to beating them he doesn’t care about his fans either. Orton gets passionate as he says that he would sacrifice his own family to be the best in the WWE, it means that much to him. He questions Christian’s sanity to step into the ring with a man like him.

Christian smiles and he replies by saying that he must be going crazy, before he leans over and signs the contract. Orton watches him intently and as soon as he sees that Christian has signed the contract, he lunges at him for the RKO- only for the champ to grab him and reverse the attack into a Reverse DDT right through the table!

The crowd pops as Christian says that there’s one more thing that Randy isn’t accounting for and that is over ten years in the business. He has accumulated so much experience during his time in the WWE and Orton should have known that he wouldn’t have fell for the oldest trick in the book like that. Christian tells Orton that he has seen his friends have to retire in the past, some of them even thanks to Orton.

Captain Charisma concludes by saying that he won’t be another one of Orton’s casualties and that at Capitol Punishment he’s going to walk out of the arena still World Heavyweight Champion. The crowd cheers as Christian makes his exit while a recovering Randy Orton, still in the ring, stares daggers at him and the show ends with this image.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Monday Night Raw (June 13, 2011)

The show opens with Alberto Del Rio coming to the ring in a luxury car as Ricardo Rodriguez announces his entry. Del Rio says that at Capitol Punishment he will be taking on Jack Swagger and he’s not exactly sure why he’s wasting his time with the match. Del Rio says that Swagger challenged his manliness last week and in a rush of adrenaline, Del Rio accepted his challenge.

He says that he has nothing to prove to Jack Swagger because he is definitely a man and he has the biggest cojones on the Raw roster. Del Rio says that he should be competing for the WWE Championship with John Cena, not wrestling against somebody who calls him a coward. Del Rio says he is a lot of things: rich, successful, handsome, skilled, smart and powerful but he is not a coward.

Jack Swagger comes out to a pop and he says that Del Rio is a whole lot of talk. He says that three weeks ago when they both lost the chance to face John Cena at Capitol Punishment to R-Truth, Swagger took it on the chin but Del Rio found an excuse and blamed him. Swagger says that at Capitol Punishment it will finally be Alberto’s chance to show everyone that he doesn’t need excuses.

Del Rio says that everybody already knows that he can beat Swagger but Jack replies by saying that once again, he is only using his words. He says that once they step into the ring together at the pay per view, the WWE Universe will really find out who can back up their words; the coward Alberto Del Rio, or the All-American American Jack Swagger.

Del Rio points out that Swagger’s knee is bandaged up pretty badly. Alberto says that if Swagger calls him a coward one more time then he won’t be walking on his two feet at Capitol Punishment. Swagger smiles, gets in Del Rio’s face and calls him a coward but out of nowhere Ricardo Rodriguez nails him with a chop block to the back of the injured knee.

The crowd boos as Swagger falls to the ground and Del Rio stomps on his knee and can be heard shouting “who’s the coward now?” The assault continues but then John Morrison runs down to the ring for the save, clearing it of Del Rio and Rodriguez before tending to Swagger. Jerry Lawler walks out on to the stage and says that he has the idea of making a match for tonight. He says that it will be Del Rio taking on John Morrison in the latter’s first match back from injury.

Commercial Break

Match One: Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre fight to a double disqualification after The Straight Edge Society attack both men and throw them out of the ring, before addressing Kofi Kingston at ringside. Punk says that Kofi has watched two worthless competitors face each other over the last few weeks. Punk says that at Capitol Punishment the only man that should be fit to take on the United States Champion is another champion. Punk proposes that Kofi defend his title against a member of the Society and Kofi hesitates. Punk asks if Kofi Kingston has seen what has happened to The Big Show, Kane and the two men lying outside the ring. He advises Kofi to have a think about his decision.

We go backstage to where John Morrison is standing with interviewer Scott Stanford. He is asked about his injury and Morrison is proud to say that he has fully recovered from his injuries. He says that his first match back will not be an easy one against Alberto Del Rio tonight but he says that he has respected Jack Swagger’s transformation over the last month and he has his back. Despite this, he says he has not forgotten the reason he has been injured for two months and he walks off looking very serious.

Commercial Break

Match Two: Zack Ryder defeats The Miz after a roll up in a massive upset. After the match, Ryder makes a quick exit as he celebrates in shock as Miz throws a massive temper tantrum, attacking the referee and knocking things over around the ring in rage.

We go backstage to where Kofi Kingston is speaking to interviewer Scott Stanford. Kofi says that he was going to defend his title against either Drew McIntyre or Dolph Ziggler but it looks like those two are out of the picture. Kofi says that it would be easy for him to reject CM Punk’s offer but that’s not how his mother raised him in Ghana. He says that he was raised to stand up to any fight and that he was also raised to take on the biggest challenges that he can. For that reason, he says that he has chosen to face The Straight Edge Society’s largest member in Mason Ryan at Capitol Punishment. Kofi says that he’s been an underdog all his life so it doesn’t worry him that he is the underdog once more when he will defend his United States Championship this Sunday.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres and Gail Kim defeat Melina, Maryse and Brie Bella after Kelly hits the K2 on Maryse. After the match, Kharma comes to the ring and is surrounded by all six divas. She gets jumped but fights them off, throwing most of the divas out of the ring. Just when she thinks all of them are disposed of she turns around to see Kelly on the top rope. The Divas Champion jumps off for a crossbody but Kharma catches her and sequences her momentum into a Samoan Drop! The crowd boos and cringes as Kharma stands atop the fallen Kelly and holds her Divas title up high, before laughing maniacally.

We go backstage to the person who will challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship at Capitol Punishment in R-Truth. Truth tells his interviewer Scott Stanford that last week his team won in the main event yet Raw still ended with the good guys celebrating. Truth says that the era of the good guy always winning is about to end. He says that life isn’t a fairytale and calls John Cena little red riding hood. Truth calls himself the wolf and says that this time the wolf is going to tear little red riding hood apart.

Commercial Break

Match Four: John Morrison defeats Alberto Del Rio after a Starship Pain. Before the finish, Jack Swagger comes out and distracts Del Rio, causing Morrison to nail him with the Pele Kick, which he followed up with his finisher for the pinfall. After the match, Swagger celebrates with Morrison as Ricardo Rodriguez pulls Del Rio out of the ring and the angry heels retreat up the ramp.

We go backstage to the WWE Champion John Cena who says that R-Truth’s done a lot of talking about how he hates playing to the fans and just hates the fans altogether. Cena says that he thinks it would be appropriate to dedicate his title defense at Capitol Punishment to all the fans that have supported him during his title reign. He says that if he wins, it will be because of all the fans and he thanks them for staying by his side and proving that their support really does matter. Cena says that he doesn’t need to worry about what will happen if he loses, because the fact is he won’t lose, and that’s the truth! Cena smiles at the jab at his opponent before we go to a break.

Commercial Break

Main Event: R-Truth defeats Rey Mysterio after a Shut Up. After the match he finds the lead pipe he has used in recent weeks and goes to attack Mysterio, only for the WWE Champion to come out to make the save. John Cena gets a massive pop as he makes his way to the ring, but R-Truth uses Rey Mysterio as a shield to protect himself from Cena. After a few seconds of pacing, Truth throws Mysterio’s dazed body at Cena and then takes advantage of the champ’s confusion, nailing him in the stomach with the lead pipe. Truth drops the weapon and then runs off the ropes to nail the champ with the Shut Up. R-Truth stands over John Cena and holds up the WWE Championship as the last Raw before Capitol Punishment ends.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

I read all your shows and TBH i'm enjoying reading this. Raw was really good this week, i am really interested to see how you would book Capitol Punishment. My only problem was John Morrison returning so quickly and his return not even clearly being for Truth, i think you could have waited till after CP to have Morrison return, setting up a straight JOMO/Truth feud. Currently Jomo is where he shouldn't be, involved in a feud between Swagger/Del-Rio. Also, Morrison came out of nowhere to save Swagger, he has no real beef with Del-Rio and he is definitely never been a friend of Swagger, seemed a bit pointless.

Re: The TwoThousandAndEleven Diaries

Friday Night Smackdown (June 20, 2011)

Match One: Sin Cara defeats Cody Rhodes after a sunset flip in a rare occasion where a match starts off the show. After the match, Ted DiBiase gets into the ring and looks to attack Cara but he is taken care of with a head scissors take down, which sends him out of the ring.

We go backstage to where The Corre is talking. Barrett says that Slater and Gabriel don’t need to apologise for their actions last week because he accepts them back into the group. Slater is confused and says that Barrett should be the one saying sorry but Wade replies by saying that he’s the leader and he doesn’t need to apologise for anything. Gabriel says that he can’t be a leader if there’s nobody to lead, before patting him on the back and walking off with Slater.

Commercial Break

Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis come to the ring and Curtis says that ever since they chose to come to Smackdown they’ve received quite a hostile welcome, from two men in particular. Bateman says that Chavo Guerrero and Brodus Clay are two great forces and he respects that- even if Brodus happens to be both of those forces and Chavo is none. Curtis says that they’ve played around for long enough. They want Chavo and Brodus in the ring, right now!

Chavo and Clay come out and Guerrero reminds them who they are going face to face. Chavo says that they go all the way back to NXT Season Four with Brodus Clay and although Curtis won, Clay was the real star and that’s why he has been on Smackdown ever since then. Bateman says that they aren’t scared of Brodus and they definitely aren’t scared of Chavo. He says that it is about time they went head to head in the ring and Chavo nods, accepting their challenge.

Match Two: Chavo Guerrero and Brodus Clay defeat Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis after Chavo hits a Frog Splash on Curtis, although the damage had already been done courtesy of Brodus Clay. After the match, Big Brodus assets his dominance by nailing Curtis with the ICU and throwing him out of the ring into the ring barricade. Bateman escapes but is forced to watch his partner being wheeled out on a stretcher.

Commercial Break

We go backstage to where Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel are talking. Wade Barrett runs onto the scene and they don’t look happy to see him. Wade, however, looks apologetic and says that he is sorry for the things he said. He says that he hasn’t been grateful for their help over the last few weeks. Barrett says that he hopes that they’ll be in his corner at Capitol Punishment when he defends his title against Big Zeke. Slater and Gabriel still seem reluctant until Wade says that he will offer them Intercontinental title shots if they help him win his match on Sunday and this makes them much happier to be on Barrett’s side.

We go to the ring where Tyson Kidd makes his entrance accompanied by Michael Hayes. Hayes says that last week Tyson’s loss to Alex Riley was by all means a fluke. He says Tyson was having an off day and was in fact sick. Hayes says that tonight, Kidd is ready to fight properly and show everybody why he had the skills to graduate the fabled Hart Dungeon. Hayes invites Riley to the ring for a rematch from last week.

Alex’s music plays to a pop and Riley stands on the stage, before saying that he would love to beat Tyson one more time as he accepts the challenge. He runs down to the ring but as he stands on the apron and steps through the ropes, Hayes grabs his leg and trips him up. Kidd takes advantage and begins showering Riley with kicks and elbows as his manages slides him a steel chair just like last week. Again like last week, Kidd nails Riley in the back with a chair shot, laying him out. Hayes slides into the ring and raises Tyson’s arm as the crowd boos.

Commercial Break

Match Three: Daniel Bryan defeats Sheamus after ducking the Brogue Kick and rolling him up. After the match, a furious Sheamus attacks Bryan, clotheslining him to the ground. Cody Rhodes runs down to the ring and stares off against Sheamus and Bryan, before aiding the Celt in his assault of the former NXT Season One Contestant. Sin Cara then runs out onto stage and points his finger at the ring, before running down and clearing the ring of Rhodes and Sheamus. He helps Bryan up and the faces in the ring stare down the heels retreating on both sides of the ring as the four men to face each other at Capitol Punishment stare at each other the last time before Sunday.

We go backstage to where The Great Khali is walking with Ranjin Singh but out of nowhere Singh gets taken down with a chair shot from behind. Khali turns around to see Jinder Mahal, who immediately nails Khali squarely in the head with the chair but it hardly seems to faze him. Khali grabs Mahal but takes a shot to the stomach with the chair, doubling him over. Mahal takes Khali being winded as an opportunity to strike him in the back with the chair, forcing him to his knees. He then hits his back once more, sending Khali to the floor. Mahal smacks him a few more times for good measure before stomping on his head and leaving, pleased with what he has done.

Commercial Break

Match Four: Ezekiel Jackson defeats Jimmy Uso in a squash match. After the match, The Corre run out to the ring and surround Big Zeke. Nexus style, they all hop onto the apron at the same time and then get into the ring. Ezekiel starts of strong attacking Gabriel but eventually the numbers catch up to him. After a moderate beat down, Shelton Benjamin runs down to the ring to a pop and for a while he manages to turn the tables, but 3 on 2 is still an advantage and he soon falls to the same fate as Big Zeke. Shelton ends up being hit with the Sweetness (Jumping Russian Leg Sweep) from Heath Slater and is kicked out of the ring. Ezekiel’s fate is worse as he first suffers the Wasteland from the Intercontinental Champion and is then crushed with a 450° splash from Justin Gabriel. The crowd boos as The Corre stands over Ezekiel to end the segment.

We go backstage to where Jack Korpela is with World Heavyweight Champion Christian. Christian says that all that needs to be said was said last week. He knows that Orton is mad and he has one last chance to see that Christian is worthy of being champion. He says that tonight he faces Mark Henry in a non-title match and he knows Randy Orton will be there, he just doesn’t know what the unpredictable Viper will do. One thing he isn’t though, Christian says, is scared of Orton.

Commercial Break

Main Event: Christian defeats Mark Henry with a Reverse DDT in a match where Randy Orton started on commentary but soon left the booth and stalked the ring, watching the match from a closer proximity. After the bell sounds Orton stays on the outside, smiling at Christian. The World Heavyweight Champion stares at him warily for a while before starting to exit through the ropes, only for Orton to slide into the ring and grab him. Randy pulls Christian onto the second rope before smiling at him once more and hitting him with a devastating DDT. The crowd boos as Orton celebrates and kisses the World title to end the final Smackdown before Capitol Punishment.

WWE Capitol Punishment Preview

WWE Championship: John Cena © vs. R-Truth

Almost a month ago on Raw, R-Truth won the right to face John Cena for the WWE Championship in a triple threat match also containing Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger. The subsequent feud he built with Cena was about the fans just as much as the two wrestlers themselves. Truth has said lots about how he doesn’t care about the fans anymore and how the fans never got him anywhere, while Cena has been on the fans’ side, as he has been for the majority of his career. Truth has been causing trouble on Raw these past few weeks, smoking cigarettes and attacking others with a lead pipe, which he used to lay out Cena this past Monday. Truth is out to capture the WWE Championship in his first title match while Cena is out to shut R-Truth up and show him that the fans are what matter. Who will walk away a champion?

World Heavyweight Championship: Christian © vs. Randy Orton (30 Minute Ironman Match)

This rivalry started off after Extreme Rules, where Christian won his first ever World Heavyweight Championship, beating Alberto Del Rio after previous titleholder Edge was forced to retire. On Christian’s first Smackdown as champion, Randy Orton defeated him for his title and he was shattered, his boyhood dream crushed after a few measly days. At the Over The Limit pay per view last month, Christian won his title back though and Randy has not been happy about it. Orton immediately invoked his rematch clause on the first Smackdown after the event and Teddy Long decided to heat things up this time, making the match a 30 Minute Ironman match. That night ended with an RKO to Christian but the next week the champ outsmarted Orton and ended the show with him celebrating. Their contract signing a week later heated things up, bringing up topics such as passion, age and success and it ended with Christian putting Orton through a table. Two days ago though, the final Smackdown before tonight ended once again with Randy Orton kissing the World Heavyweight Championship after laying out Christian with the Rope Hung DDT. Tonight, for half an hour, these two enemies will face each other in the ring with no excuses, but who will prove himself as the ultimate champion?

United States Championship: Kofi Kingston © vs. Mason Ryan

Kofi Kingston was originally going to face either Drew McIntyre or Dolph Ziggler at Capitol Punishment but this past week on Raw, The Straight Edge Society made it clear that Kofi would be facing one of them. After being threatened by their leader CM Punk, Kofi agreed to defend his title against the Society’s largest member, Mason Ryan. Will Kofi be able to keep his United States Championship going up against literally his biggest competition so far?

Intercontinental Championship: Wade Barrett © vs. Ezekiel Jackson

A few months ago, The Corre looked like one of the most powerful groups that the WWE had seen in a long time. However, Wade Barrett’s unfulfilled promise of having “no leader” made Ezekiel Jackson leave the group and rebel against Barrett. Big Zeke had a title match at Over The Limit but Barrett kept his title after a disqualification ending, and Jackson immediately made it clear he wanted another title shot. He eventually did get his shot but not until he defeated Corre members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in a handicap match. Barrett has had some issues with his stable mates in the past few weeks but they look to have been resolved, as the trio beat down Big Zeke on the last Smackdown before Capitol Punishment. Once friends, now foes, either Wade Barrett or Ezekiel Jackson will walk out of the pay per view as the Intercontinental Champion, but which one will it be?

Grudge Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger

This match stemmed from the aforementioned triple threat main event almost four weeks ago on Raw. Alberto Del Rio only had Jack Swagger to blame for his loss and he got his revenge, attacking Swagger backstage that night. At this point Del Rio was done but Swagger wasn’t going to let him get away with it, challenging him to a match at Capitol Punishment and Del Rio accepted after Swagger called him a coward. This last week on Raw saw Del Rio say that accepting the challenge was a mistake and Jack Swagger came out to talk some sense into him, only to be beaten down by Del Rio and his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez. Later, Swagger cost Del Rio a match against the returning John Morrison and now both men are out for revenge. This match is only about one thing, making the other man suffer, but who will get the pinfall in what is sure to be a violent affair?

#1 Contendership to the World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Sin Cara vs. Daniel Bryan (Fatal 4 Way Match)

This match was made after Sheamus complained to Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long that nobody was getting title shots apart from Randy Orton and Christian. Long immediately announced a Fatal 4 Way match for Capitol Punishment where the winner would get the next shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus was the first to qualify for the match, defeating The Great Khali, before Sin Cara defeated Ted DiBiase to qualify. The next week Daniel Bryan defeated Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes defeated Shelton Benjamin and Wade Barrett in a Triple Threat match to also qualify. A brawl with the four men followed the next week before this last week on Smackdown, Cara defeated Rhodes and Bryan defeated Sheamus. With all four men vying for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, the question is: who wants it most?

Divas Championship: Kelly Kelly © vs. Kharma

It was a childhood dream for Kelly Kelly to win the Divas Championship, and everybody was happy for her when she did so at Over The Limit, defeating Brie Bella. However, Kharma was also a force running through the divas division, laying out everyone and not sparing a soul. Kelly managed to avoid Kharma for a while before she was eventually caught and Kharma’s intentions at a title match were made known. The final Raw before Capitol Punishment ended with Kharma holding up the Divas Championship and laughing. Will Kharma’s first ever WWE match see her end Kelly’s dream title run, or can the champion defy all the odds and slay the beast?

Bonus Questions

1. Predict the match order.

2. Which matches will be the shortest and the longest?

3. How many title changes will there be (if any)?

4. Will there be any surprise appearances?

5. What will be the final score in the 30 Minute Ironman match (winner is irrelevant here)?

6. Who will be pinned in the Fatal 4 Way match?

If there's enough people that make predictions, I don't have a lot of credits so the winner will receive an award that will entitle them to make a booking decision for the next pay per view, with details to be revealed later. The PPV is also finished, with most of the matches done with endings (which I'm proud of) and two done only with recap (which I'm a little disappointed about). Overall though, I'm happy with the show and I hope anyone that reads is as well.

Review:

I liked the fatal four way match, it was absolutely great. The Ending was perfect, even though i expected Bryan to be pinned, Sin Cara might be a better choice to make Cody look better going into a world title match.

Kofi vs Mason was a decent match, i'm happy you gave the title to Mason, Kofi reigns are boring now lol.

Superman Zeke won, i don't like him, but hopefully it will send Barrett to better things, its great how you had Zeke take out all of Corre, it adds to the match.

Not really interested in Swagger/Del-Rio, don't get how Morrison or Shieffeld are involved but i guess he was given money.

Kharma/Kelly, i expected maybe a slight chance Kelly would win, but Kharma won anyway lol, Squash but well written.

Truth vs Cena was better then i expected and i can't blame you for only writing two paragraphs for a Cena match, lol.

Orton/Christian was amazing, probably second best after the Fatal-Four Way. 4-3 might be to much of a score for a 30 min match but you wrote it well and thank you for having Christian beat Orton, great booking!

Overall a decent PPV, could have been better but i liked it. Looking forward to MITB which is always an interesting PPV.

Prediction Competition Results:

Fourth: FluxCapacitor (5/20)
Third: The Storm (9/20)
Second: Shawn Morrison (11/20)

Winner: The Awesome Punk (12/20)

Thanks to those that participated in the competition; as promised The Awesome Punk gets his prize of a review plus also an influence on the booking of the next pay per view, which will reveal to him specifically once I post a few more shows.

In the meantime, here's some news to give this post some extra substance.

from pwinsider

The WWE has been rattled by the news that as many as eight top stars are leaving the company and it has been confirmed that three have already done so for differing reasons. The Big Show and Kane have both retired from in ring competition to give their bodies a rest and although they have been offered blow-off feuds they have declined. Show and Kane are expected to work a backstage role in mentoring and training until their contracts expire, and apparently neither have ruled out appearing on screen once or twice since then.

Also confirmed to have retired, but by force, is Mark Henry, who has been told he suffered a pinched nerve in his shoulder after wrestling at a house show on the weekend of Capitol Punishment. Henry has followed doctor's advice to immediately stop competing and he will do so. We are yet to know if the WWE will release him from his contract, but like Show and Kane, he may work backstage until his contract expires.

Other names linked to this big storyline are Triple H, Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, The Great Khali and surprisingly World Heavyweight Champion Christian as well. We'll get further news regarding these other names as soon as we can, but for now, the extent of this drama is surrounded by mystery and uncertainty.
PS- I'm still in the process of returning reviews for Capitol Punishment and anyone that hasn't got theirs back, rest assured it's coming.

Monday Night Raw (June 20, 2011)
OFFICIAL PREVIEW

The Champ Is Here, Still

Last night at Capitol Punishment John Cena defied the odds to defeat R-Truth and retain his WWE Championship. However, after the match, CM Punk and The Straight Edge Society made their way out onto the stage and Punk locked eyes with Cena, the brief encounter being enough to let The WWE Universe know that Punk wants to be the next to get a shot at Cena’s title.

A King’s Speech

Raw General Manager Jerry “The King” Lawler promises to open tonight’s show with a few announcements regarding the format of Monday Night Raw as well as some news for the upcoming pay per view, Money In The Bank. “King” is also set to make some sort of ruling on John Cena’s next contender for his WWE Championship, and it very well could be CM Punk, then man mentioned earlier.

A Butterfly’s Broken Wings

Last night at Capitol Punishment, Kharma defeated Kelly Kelly for the Divas Championship, but following her victory, she stepped on her title and discarded it like a piece of trash. Due to this there promises to be a major shake-up with the divas division on Raw but we’ll have to wait and see what will be said.

Del Rio’s Destiny

Last night Alberto Del Rio took on Jack Swagger in a grudge that ended when Skip Sheffield interfered on Del Rio’s behalf and would have completely taken Jack Swagger out if not for the help of his newfound ally John Morrison. Tonight, Del Rio, who will no doubt be joined by his ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez, will talk to the crowd and he will no doubt be getting a hostile reception.

Banking On It

In some announced matches for tonight’s Raw, qualifying matches for Raw’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match are getting underway. R-Truth will take on Chris Masters, Drew McIntyre will take on Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Reks will take on the man who lost his United States Championship last night in Kofi Kingston. Three men will walk out of the arena tonight, one step closer to being the next Mr. Money In The Bank.

All this and more, tonight, on Monday Night Raw!

Friday Night Smackdown (June 24, 2011)
OFFICIAL PREVIEW

The Dotted Line

Last night at Capitol Punishment Christian defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton in a grueling 30 Minute Ironman Match, winning with a 4-3 score. In the first match of the show, Cody Rhodes defeated Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara in a Fatal 4 Way Match to become the #1 Contender to Christian’s title. Their match is all but penciled in for the next pay per view, Money In The Bank, but tonight they must first sign the contract. Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long will officiate the signing with Christian and Cody Rhodes where the new competitors will get to say their thoughts on each other for the first time. It will be fiery and it will be tonight!

Straight To The Bank

This Monday we already had some qualifying matches for Raw’s Money In The Bank Ladder match, with Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth all qualifying. This week on Smackdown, there will be the first opportunity to qualify for Smackdown’s respective ladder match. The two superstars fighting it out will be Alex Riley and Tyson Kidd. Two weeks ago Riley defeated Kidd and the last week Kidd and his manager Michael Hayes goaded Riley to the ring for a rematch, only to attack him before the ringing of the bell. Tonight it will be the true match as the rivals go at it- with much more on the line.

Tamil Terrors

In tonight’s other announced match, “The Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin will take on newcomer Jinder Mahal. Last week Mahal attacked The Great Khali backstage and left the giant brutalized and word is that Khali will be in attendance tonight. There’s no telling what will happen in this match, especially with “The Punjabi Giant” itching to get his hands on Mahal at any opportunity.

Divalicious!

Finally, after the announcement this Monday on Raw that the Women’s Championship was reinstated and given to Kharma, Smackdown has gained the Divas Championship and it’s own set of divas to go with it. Tonight, General Manager Theodore Long will reveal those particular divas and word is that they will be participating in some sort of match that will affect who gets a shot at the Divas Championship. Watch tonight’s show for more information.

All this and more, tonight, on Friday Night Smackdown!

I've no idea what's gone on in this thread so far. I'm basically just trying to pick it up from here. Cody Rhodes is somebody who I think has all the talent in the world, although the way he's been booked in real life, I don't know if he's a credible challenger for Christian yet. With that being said, maybe he's done enough in the month this thread has been going, I really don't know. Either way, I'm intrigued to see what angle you take this Christian/Rhodes thing during the contract signing, and heading into the PPV. Tyson Kidd > Alex Riley, and I'm really hoping you feel the same way. I don't like Mahal either, put Benji over please. Nobody bar a few pays much attention to Divas, hence their divas division is usually shit, so here's hoping you actually put some effort into it, and book it well.

Anyway, just some random thoughts, because I've got no idea what's happening. I'll be reading the show when you post it anyway.

Friday Night Smackdown (June 24, 2011)

The first Smackdown after Capitol Punishment begins not with the World Heavyweight Champion Christian, nor with the #1 Contender Cody Rhodes- not even with the General Manager Teddy Long. Instead, we start the show with “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus who stands in the ring looking pissed. He says that the fact that he is not the new #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship is a travesty. Sheamus says that last Sunday he stepped into the ring with three people who would have less muscle mass than him combined and somehow he lost. Sheamus says that things like that shouldn’t happen. He says that it’s obvious that he’s not in a good mood. Sheamus says that he’s in the mood for beating somebody up. He challenges anybody to come to the ring and face him, but to do so at his own risk.

The lights in the arena suddenly go out and a countdown appears on the titantron. The crowd is puzzled and as the countdown reaches zero a massive pyro goes off and smoke shrouds the entrance area. The arena lights come on and the smoke fades to reveal a man with his back to the audience, arms stretched out to the side. Those who know who it is start cheering and when the man turns around the whole arena is on their feet. The man lifts up a microphone and shouts into it: “Welcome... to Smackdown… is… Jericho!!” The crowd goes crazy, as Chris Jericho has returned to Smackdown! In the ring, Sheamus looks positively shocked as Jericho plays to the fans as he makes way down to the ring, soaking in the great reception. He walks up the steps before standing face to face (face to chin) with Sheamus, who still looks gob smacked.

Jericho says that it feels great to be back on Friday nights. He says that it has been too long since he’s stepped inside a WWE ring and this time he’s not going to leave until he can’t physically compete anymore. The crowd pops and Jericho says that he’s getting older now and it means he’s getting wiser, and he says that he’s realised that he wouldn’t be where he is without the help of the fans, so he thanks them for all their support over the years. The fans pop but Sheamus interrupts by asking if there’s a point to Jericho’s emotional tirade. “Y2J” says yes, in fact, there is a point; he’s here right now because he saw Sheamus complaining to start the show and he thought the fans deserved something better to begin Smackdown. Jericho says Sheamus ‘pales’ in comparison to him and Sheamus laughs sarcastically before reminding Jericho who he is in the ring with.

Jericho says that he knows who he’s in the ring with and he’s honoured; he’s always considered Ginger Spice the most talented of The Spice Girls. Jericho says that jokes aside, he’s seen Sheamus win world titles and steamroll a lot of the WWE roster in the last few years. He says that he was a little nervous of coming out here knowing what Sheamus has done. Sheamus says that Jericho should be nervous but “Y2J” replies by saying that he’s never backed down from a challenge before, and he’s not going to stop him now. He says that although Sheamus is big, he’s seen a lot of big stupid guys come and go in his many years of the business. Jericho wants to know whether Sheamus is the real deal. He says that he takes up Sheamus’ open challenge, but not for tonight. Jericho wants to face Sheamus at Money In The Bank and Sheamus accepts. The crowd pops as Jericho spouts off a few catchphrases and celebrates with the audience as we go to a break.

Commercial Break

Match One: Tyson Kidd, accompanied by Michael Hayes, takes on Alex Riley in a rematch from two weeks ago where Riley won and was beaten down afterward. This time it is Kidd who prevails after capitalizing on interference from his manager by catching Riley in the Sharpshooter and making him tap, gaining himself a spot in Smackdown’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Result: Tyson Kidd defeats Alex Riley; qualifies for MITB Ladder Match

We go backstage to where General Manager Theodore Long is with the new Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson. Long congratulates the new champion on his win at Capitol Punishment and Big Zeke thanks the GM before Wade Barrett storms into the picture looking angry. He says that he just wanted to tell Ezekiel that he’s done. He’s done with The Corre, who let him down at Capitol Punishment and he’s done with Jackson. Barrett says that he doesn’t want a rematch and he doesn’t want the Intercontinental Championship. He says that before long, Ezekiel will be looking with envy at Wade Barrett, the new World Heavyweight Champion. Barrett laughs and storms off as Zeke rolls his eyes, pats his title and resumes talking to Teddy Long, who says that he now needs new a new challenger for his title.

Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater walk into the picture, saying that they were just listening to their conversation. Justin says that they put up with Wade Barrett’s crap for too long and that they deserve title shots. Slater says that they have history with Ezekiel Jackson so there are no better options for contenders. Teddy says okay but that only one of them will get a title shot. He says that tonight Justin Gabriel will take on Heath Slater and the winner will face Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship at the Smackdown Supershow before Money In The Bank. Teddy Long chuckles and tells the two men to get ready for their match, holla.

Commercial Break

Match Two: Jinder Mahal takes on Shelton Benjamin in a singles match that sees Mahal use lots of dirty tactics to gain an advantage. Eventually good prevails over evil as Shelton manages to roll up Mahal for the win.

Result: Shelton Benjamin defeats Jinder Mahal

After the match, Shelton celebrates but gets blindsided with a steel chair shot to the back from Jinder. The crowd boos as Mahal starts wailing on Shelton with the chair until The Great Khali’s music plays to a large pop. Khali makes his way down to the ring looking fierce before stepping over the top rope into the ring. He stares at Jinder Mahal before shockingly picking up Shelton instead, nailing him with the Khali Bomb! The crowd boos as Mahal and Khali shake hands and smile, before Ranjin Singh scurries into the ring and raises the arms of both men as the trio celebrates.

We go backstage to where Derrick Bateman is sitting in the locker room, looking dejected. Trent Barreta approaches him and asks him what’s up and Bateman says that his partner Johnny Curtis suffered an injury at the hands of Brodus Clay and Chavo Guerrero last week and he’ll be out for over a month. Barreta says that sucks but asks if he’s going to let Chavo and his doofus get away with that? Bateman says that he can’t take those guys on with no partner but Barreta says that he’s wrong, he has a new partner now. Bateman smiles and the two shake hands before we go to a commercial.

We get a video package on the career of Mark Henry.

Commercial Break

When we return we go to the ring with Teddy Long, who says that he is very happy to introduce the Smackdown divas. He calls out the divas’ names as they make their entrances. First is Melina who gets heat, then Alicia Fox and Tamina who also get boos, then Eve Torres and AJ from NXT 3 who get some cheers. Beth Phoenix then makes her entrance to a loud pop before Michelle McCool makes her way out in her return to the WWE, getting lots of boos. The final diva to come out is an unknown, announced as Roxxi. Roxxi is bald, has piercings and a muscled physique and the crowd isn’t quite sure what to make of her. Teddy Long says that these eight divas will fight over the newly vacated Divas Championship exclusively on Smackdown and the crowd pops. He says that the champion will be decided at the Smackdown Supershow in a fatal four way match, while the participants for that match will be decided tonight. He announces an eight-diva battle royale where the four surviving divas will go on to fight for the Divas Championship in three weeks time.

Match Three: Alicia Fox, Tamina, Melina, Michelle McCool, Roxxi, Eve Torres, AJ and Beth Phoenix compete in an over the top rope challenge. Fox and Tamina gang up to eliminate AJ but then Roxxi eliminates both with an impressive double clothesline that gets her a small pop. With 5 divas remaining, the unlucky one is Eve, who gets suckered a minute later by Michelle, who feigns teaming up with her but throws her over the top rope.

Result: Melina, Michelle McCool, Roxxi and Beth Phoenix; progress to fight for the Divas Championship

We go backstage to interviewer Jack Korpela, who is attempting to get in touch with the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship, Cody Rhodes, but he gets no comment. Ted DiBiase chimes in and says that Rhodes isn’t giving any interviews because tonight it is his big contract signing with Christian and anything that people want to hear from Cody will be said in a few minutes.

Commercial Break

Main Event: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel go head to head for the #1 Contendership to the Intercontinental Championship and after a very solid match given quite a substantial amount of time, Gabriel prevails after a superkick and the 450° Splash.

Result: Justin Gabriel defeats Heath Slater; new #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship

After the match, Gabriel takes to the microphone and says that it’s good to finally see the end of The Corre. He says that the group was never a total unit and never lived up to its promise of having ‘no leaders.’ He says that there is a new chapter unfolding in his career and it involves defeating Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship in three weeks time.

We quickly cut backstage to where Chavo Guerrero and Brodus Clay are beating down Trent Barreta and Derrick Bateman in a corridor. The struggle of the faces indicates that they were attacked not long ago and luckily Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan interfere to stop any lasting punishment from being inflicted. Cara and Bryan get between the victims and Chavo and Brodus, forcing Chavo to threaten them with a beating if they don’t move. The faces don’t budge and Daniel Bryan says that they can settle this in the ring next week. He says that he and Cara challenge Chavo and Brodus to a tag team match, with the winner qualifying for the Smackdown Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Chavo reluctantly agrees, saying that they’ll have to dispose of Bateman and Barreta later, before walking off with Brodus in tow.

Commercial Break

When we return, Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long is standing in the ring next to the contract-signing table. He welcomes first Cody Rhodes, who is accompanied by Ted DiBiase and then the World Heavyweight Champion Christian, who gets a nice pop. Teddy congratulates Christian for defeating Randy Orton 4-3 in a 30 Minute Ironman Match last Sunday at Capitol Punishment as we are shown footage of the conclusion of the match and Christian celebrating afterwards with the fans. He then congratulates Cody Rhodes for besting Sheamus, Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan in last night’s opener and becoming the Number One Contender for Christian’s World Heavyweight Championship. He says that tonight’s contract signing is to finalize a match between the two participants for the Money In The Bank pay per view, and invites the champion to sign first.

Christian asks if he may say something first, which the GM allows. He says that he showed the world that he could beat Randy Orton last Sunday and it feels great to finally get some closure with Randy. Christian says that the best feeling ever is to show the world that you’re not too old and to shut up the naysayers. He says that Randy Orton thought that he was past his prime and didn’t deserve to be a champion, but he proved to the whole world that he does. Christian says that Orton is a lot younger than him but Cody here is younger still. Christian says that Cody reminds him of himself when he was younger. He says that it’s obvious Cody hasn’t acted like a saint in getting to where he is now, but neither did he. He says that Cody has probably gotten a lot of stick from people who say that he got where he is because of his last time and Christian says that he has gotten the same haters saying he’s only successful because of Edge. Christian says that he respects Cody Rhodes despite what he’s done in the past and he hopes that one day, Rhodes can just get an epiphany like him and realise that the fans are really the most important things there are.

The crowd pops as Christian signs the contract and Teddy Long invites Cody Rhodes to do the same. Cody says that he’ll gladly sign the contract but he has to clear something up first. Cody says that he never wants to be like Christian. The crowd boos as Rhodes says that the people who say that Christian is where he is because of Edge are right. Cody says that he hates his father and his success is all due to his own skills, looks and charisma. Cody says that Christian is right, he is young, and the problem that Randy Orton had is that he still thought he was young. He says that Randy Orton was young when he won his first world title in 2004, but now, like Christian, he is old. He says that Christian is all about the past, while Cody is all about the future. He calls Christian a double fluke champion and says that at Money In The Bank, he will win his first ever world title in the WWE and it will be everything but a fluke. He tells Christian that he has no respect for him and that he’s not here to be friends- he’s here to take his World Heavyweight Championship.

The crowd boos as Cody Rhodes smiles and walks over to the table to sign the contract, when suddenly Randy Orton slides into the ring and nails Ted DiBiase with an RKO. The crowd is confused as Cody Rhodes turns around and suffers the same fate, with Orton laying him out with an RKO as well. He gets up and faces Christian, breathing heavily and looking into his eyes. He goes for the RKO but Christian pushes him away. Orton turns around and Christian goes for the Spear, only for Orton to dodge and for Christian to get tangled in the ropes. Orton viciously kicks him out of the ring before grabbing the clipboard with the contract on it. Randy holds it up in the air before snapping the clipboard in half and throwing the remnants to the outside. He then lifts Cody Rhodes to his feet and puts him in position, before lifting him and smashing him through the contract signing table with a powerbomb! The crowd boos as Rhodes lies motionless and Orton smiles. Christian recuperates on the outside, clutching his shoulder as Orton celebrates to end the show.

Smackdown Feedback

As I mentioned in my post regarding the preview, there’s probably going to be certain things where I don’t know what I’m talking about. If I fuck up on anything to bad, just let me know. I like when the show doesn’t always open up with the champion or the challenger, it feels fresh to see other people get the opportunity to open the show. Sheamus was alright, basically talking about how he’s not happy because he’s not the number one contender. With recaps it shouldn’t be to hard to think of a few witty lines to add in, so I was disappointed by the lame muscle mass comment by Sheamus. The return of Jericho was pretty shocking, but I really like it. You’re adding a credible guy who I mark for to your roster, so it’s a win win situation. I thought Jericho promising to stick around this time was pretty smart, allowing the fans who may be a little apprehensive to trust him. The crack at the paleness of Sheamus was alright as well. :lmao at the Spice Girls line, typical smart ass Jericho. I didn’t like that he admitted he was nervous to come out to the ring to face Sheamus. It really doesn’t seem like something Jericho would admit, no matter what. The rest of the promo went along solidly enough, although I don’t like the idea of a match being made for the next PPV between the two already. They have had one confrontation that wasn’t really that heated so I don’t think that warrants a PPV match. Not only that, but you’ve fallen into the trap of allowing wrestlers to book matches, rather than the authority figure. Anyway, a decent enough start to the show.

Obviously judging by your match writing style, or well, lack thereof, there’s not much to say. Out of these two guys, I believe Kidd has the talent so I’m happy to see him qualify for the MITB spot. These guys have got a win each now though, so I’m guessing they will wrestle again sometime soon. No idea why Michael Hayes is Kidd’s manager.

To be completely honest, I really didn’t like this segment at all. The whole Long congratulating Jackson thing was alright, but from there, it just went down hill. I understand as a booker you want to keep Barrett away from the IC Title, but that has to be established over time, not just by one little segment, Even though he wants the World Title, by just brushing off the loss of a title that Barrett cherished for so long, it devalues the IC Title, and I’m highly against that. On a positive, there was nothing wrong with the actual writing of the segment.

Heath Slater against Justin Gabriel is a typical face GM move, so no complaints there. I recommend you change up Teddy’s character though. He’s terribly boring to read, as he’s been stale since about 2007 now.

A nice win for Shelton over Mahal, but once again, it’s all I can say, as I don’t really know much else.

Mahal and Khali being together makes sense, and the turn of Khali was executed well enough. I pray you use Benjamin in some sort of entertaining way though.

These whole “I’ll be your partner” segments are usually pretty lame, so I won’t say much about this. I will say that it’s okay booking, as they’ve both come through the ranks basically the same way, so they can be a cool tandem.

No idea if this is the first Mark Henry video package or not. Either way, I hope this is going to lead to Henry actually doing something.

Nothing wrong with Teddy Long announcing what’s going to happen with the Divas. I hope you’re actually going to do something with your divas, because despite some bookers beliefs, when booked in a good way, the divas can be entertaining. You want proof? See Mac’s Mickie/Victoria, and Wolfy’s recent James/Melina feuds. Roxxi owns too, so I hope, and it seems like she’s going to be a big part of your division.

Arguably your four top Divas are all going to be competing for the championship, so obviously that’s smart booking.

Is Ted DiBiase Rhodes’ lackey? That’s what it seemed like by this little interview.

It seemed like it was a nice main event between Gabriel and Slater. Gabriel/Jackson feud should be interesting.

Gabriel getting on the microphone makes sense, as we get to hear exactly what he thinks. Well, I was hoping his promo would be more directed towards Jackson to build some sort of heat for their feud, so I think you dropped the ball a bit there. With that said, I think a mention of The Corre was also needed, so I guess this was sort of hit and miss.

Chavo and Clay beating down the two jobbers (I don’t like them) is all good enough. The faces, Bryan and Cara separating the brawl makes sense, although I think Barretta and Bateman would be more entitled to a match against the heels, than Bryan and Cara. With that being said, the match should be alright, although once again, you’ve had the wrestlers book themselves in a match to qualify for the MITB match at the PPV. This would simply never happen.

Teddy Long beginning the segment was alright, although I wish he would have announced the Divas Battle Royal in a different way earlier. I don’t mind backstage segments, and audience addresses from his office, but I don’t like an authority figure getting too much in ring time with a microphone. Anyway, Long was on song here, not saying anything wrong. Christian’s promo was all pretty good, quickly summarizing Orton, before comparing his early journey with Rhodes. I actually thought that was very clever, seemingly almost setting up Rhodes for a big future with this one promo. The whole the fans are the most important thing seems a little to cheesy though, as surely the title he’s worked his whole career for would be the most important thing. Cody Rhodes promo was pretty good, insulting Christian and his father, just building on the heat. This is pretty much what I expected from this promo. The ending with Orton making an appearance was pretty entertaining, as I honestly thought maybe Orton was just being given the night off after the tough bout at the PPV. With the contract not being made official, I’ve a feeling we could be looking at a triple threat for the PPV. If I wanted to be really nit picky, I could say I wasn’t a huge fan of Orton using the Powerbomb, because I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him use it before. Anyway, probably the best segment of the night to end the show.

Honestly, I haven’t read any of your stuff for awhile, and it’s fair to say you’ve improved. Your booking is pretty solid, with the only exception really being you constantly letting the wrestler’s book themselves in matches. I also think the show could have had another match or something, and after a quick skim, Raw probably could have as well. I think you may need to work on utilizing your mid card a little better to fill more time, or to bring some guys in to help you fill time. I don’t mind the short, recap style, although I do feel like your matches need to be given a little more information. A match can sometimes tell a better story than a promo, and you’re giving your matches absolutely no chance to do that. A quick example is the Gabriel/Slater match. Friends against each other, the match with more detail could have really told a dramatic story, but instead it was just glossed over. Your promos are solid enough for recap, but there were still little things throughout the promos that I didn’t think felt right at times. You’re definitely improving, but there’s still a way to go. You’ve got a firm grasp on what you’re doing though, so I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Woah some shocking results, Kidd over Riley and Benjamin over Mahal. Im supposing Kidd can be a good spot monkey and give good moments in the MITB match while Riley is still green so it can be okay but Riley's push gets kinda shaky.

Again, Mahal i am not sure if he was unbeaten till now since his debut in your BTB but I would have loved to see him become a big player as Smackdown lacks it.

Rhodes looks good as he has come out of his dumb mask gimmick and looks well set for the big thing. Orton's viper antics at the end were good, triple threat maybe at MITB. I liked the 'saint' line by Christian lol.

Good to see Gabriel in the mix for IC title. Corre finally over? Thank You LOL. I sincerely am happy this is the first 2011 based BTB probably which has done this, I really hate Corre to the Core :). They are useless and they are being stretched way longer than they should be. Gabriel seems to be in for a good push.

Raw preview will be posted soon. Here's some news and notes for the time being.

I'd also like to thank the guys that reviewed Smackdown, I'll try and return some feedback but with school starting tomorrow I can't make any promises.

from pwinsider

Following new last week that The Big Show, Kane and Mark Henry all retired the WWE has been struck by two more high profile wrestlers retiring from in-ring competition. Firstly, The Undertaker has been forced to retire due to niggling injuries that refused to heal, and doctors have advised him to not compete at all in the short term at least. He has been taken off the roster but if he is somehow miraculously cleared to wrestle in the future he would be up to return. Officials are expecting to let his current contract run until it expires, before deciding what to do then.

The other name is Triple H, who was also taken off the roster page. It was his own decision, as he decided he would rather stay with the creative side of things than return in-ring full time or even part time. He will continue to work with the company and may even make special appearances but for the time being, he will not appear on WWE programming.

Although neither HHH nor The Undertaker were wrestling full time, the WWE is currently worried about what will happen with the main event scene, especially come Wrestlemania time. They are searching for new stars to fill the voids of the many that have left these past few months so expect some newer or younger stars to be pushed up the card in coming months.
from pwinsider

In injury news, John Morrison, Alicia Fox and Skip Sheffield have all fully recovered from their injuries and can now work full time. Johnny Curtis has suffered a broken jaw at a house show so he will be absent from Smackdown for a few months, hence his former partner Derrick Bateman finding a new partner in Trent Barreta this week. Layla also still has a few months until she is cleared to compete again, with experts saying that it would be wishful thinking to have her return before Summerslam, and even then is a stretch.

Despite the possible Undertaker retirement, I still have a feeling he'll eventually come back. The allure of having him be 20-0 at Mania is just way to grand to not want to do. I also mark for Triple H, but in 2011 based threads, I almost expect the future to be pushed. Triple H retiring doesn't bother me, although I think he should maintain some sort of on screen role.

I guess John Morrison could be a good addition to your mid card, although I don't really care for the other two wrestlers who are now allowed to wrestle full time again.

Monday Night Raw (June 27, 2011)

The show opens with CM Punk and The Straight Edge Society making their entrance to heat. Punk, Intercontinental Champion Mason Ryan and WWE Tag Team Champions Joseph Mercury and Seth Rollins get in the ring and Punk, their leader, takes the microphone. Punk says that last week, he earned the right to face John Cena for the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank in just under three weeks time. Punk says that he will do what R-Truth couldn’t do and what The Miz couldn’t do and he will take John Cena’s WWE Championship. Punk says that he is a four-time world champion, having won all four of those titles in four years. He says that he is only 32 and the majority of his career is ahead of him. Punk says that at this rate, Ric Flair’s record for most world championships is in serious danger. He says that coupled with the fact that his body is pure of foreign substances and that he is only getting better with age, Punk is going to break Flair’s record of sixteen world titles in no time at all.

John Cena’s music plays and the WWE Champion interrupts Punk to a big cheer. He gets in the ring, unfazed by The Straight Edge Society and grabs a microphone. Cena congratulates Punk for earning a shot at the WWE Championship last year but he says that’s where his accomplishments are going to end. Cena says that Punk may have won four world championships, but he has won ten, in five years. That’s twice as quickly as Punk has won his titles. Cena says sorry to be a buzz kill but he’s once again proving that CM Punk is nothing more than a preacher and a good talker. Cena says that he’s proud of all ten of his world title victories but it’s not about the amount of titles for him, it’s about the value and the memories. Punk says that Cena is stupid. He says that Cena only won ten world titles because The Straight Edge Society hasn’t been there to stop him so far. He says that Cena’s title count stops at ten while his own will continue to rise until he retires, far eclipsing Ric Flair, John Cena, Edge, Triple H and anybody else in the history of the WWE.

Cena says it’s interesting that Punk mentioned Triple H considering he retired just this week. He takes a moment to thank Triple H for being such a great mentor over the years as Punk laughs and asks Cena if he is serious. Punk says that Cena should be happy that Triple H’s reign of terror is over, and that The Undertaker followed him as well. He says that HHH and Taker retired because they saw how The Straight Edge Society ended the careers of both The Big Show and Kane as well and they were scared. Punk says that both Triple H and Taker knew that they couldn’t stand up against the four most talented men on the Raw roster. Cena sarcastically says that he supposes Mark Henry retired for that reason as well and Punk replies by saying, seriously, that he wouldn’t be surprised. Punk says that The Straight Edge Society is unparalleled in terms on talent on Raw and he challenges Cena to find a quartet as great as they.

Cena says that it’s a coincidence that Punk said that because he just happens to have four people that think they are better than Punk and The Society. Rey Mysterio’s music plays and “The Master Of The 619” comes out to a pop, accompanied by Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. Cena waits for the three faces to come to the ring before saying that these four men will be the ones to embarrass The Straight Edge Society and hopefully disband the group for the second time. Punk says that it can’t be done; the group is stronger than ever. Cena tells him to prove it and challenges Punk to an 8 Man Tag Team match for tonight’s main event, his group taking on The Straight Edge Society. Punk hesitates for a second before he realises that he’s backed himself in a corner and reluctantly accepts the match. The crowd pops as suddenly Punk makes a subtle motion to his stable mates and The Society ambushes the four faces. The crowd boos, but Cena’s team anticipates the attack and manages to quickly reverse things and throw The SES out of the ring. The crowd pops as Cena poses in the ring with his team and The Society recuperates on the outside, with Punk angry beyond belief, and we go to our first commercial break.

Commercial Break

Match One: The Miz takes on Zack Ryder in a match to qualify for Raw’s Money In The Bank Ladder match. The match starts off rather evenly but The Miz uses his aggression to obtain the upper hand. The finish comes when The Miz goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Ryder catches him with a roll up, and pins him in a situation reminiscent of two weeks ago.

Result: Zack Ryder defeats The Miz; qualifies for MITB Ladder Match

After the match the crowd cheers as Zack Ryder slips out of the ring again, to avoid The Miz, who is no doubt furious. “The Awesome One” is indeed outraged, as he punches the turnbuckles and slaps the canvas in frustration. He then slides out of the ring and runs up to Zack Ryder, who is walking back up the ramp. Miz grabs the man who defeated him mere seconds earlier and promptly nails him with a Skull Crushing Finale on the ramp! The crowd boos as The Miz stares down Ryder before leaving without saying a word.

We go backstage to The Miz’s former tag team partner, John Morrison, who is with interviewer Scott Stanford. Morrison is asked about how he got him caught himself up in the drama between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger. He says he’s not quite sure himself but he’s supporting somebody who’s become his friend in the last month in Jack Swagger. Morrison says that in two weeks time on the Monday Night Raw Supershow, his focus completely will shift towards Money In The Bank. He says that tonight he has no doubt in his mind that he will beat Skip Sheffield and qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match, no doubt at all. Morrison says that after he captures that briefcase he’s going to go after the WWE Championship, but he still has one man to take care of before that. Stanford asks whom but Morrison says that the man knows who he is, before walking off to go prepare for his match.

Commercial Break

When we return, we hear Vickie Guerrero’s lovely voice screaming ‘excuse me’ throughout the arena and see that she is in the ring with her boyfriend Dolph Ziggler. The crowd boos as she introduces her hubby as Mr. Money In The Bank, and says that this will become a reality in just under three weeks time. She says that in no time at all, Ziggler will be a world champion for the second time in his career. R-Truth interrupts and says that he might be a little crazy but even he knows that Dolph Ziggler’s first title reign was nothing but a joke. He says that he too is in the Money In The Bank Ladder match and he plans on winning it. Ziggler says that Truth doesn’t deserve to be in the match, let alone win it, because he couldn’t beat John Cena at Capitol Punishment. Truth says that Ziggler wouldn’t be winning any matches if not for Vickie Guerrero.

Ziggler adamantly disagrees and to prove it, he challenges Truth to a match right now but instead, Jerry “The King” Lawler comes out to a pop. King says that Truth and Ziggler may want to fight each other but right now they will have to partner up. The heels aren’t happy as Lawler says that their opponents are two brothers that Monday Night Raw has truly missed. We hear the familiar phrase ‘I spit in the face of people who don’t want to be cool’ and the crowd pops as Carlito and Primo walk out onto the stage! The Colons play to the crowd as they make their way to the ring for their return match in the WWE- and Truth, Ziggler and Guerrero could not be more surprised. King wishes them luck in their match and then makes his exit as Guerrero leaves the ring and Truth and Ziggler get ready to team up.

Match Two: R-Truth and Dolph Ziggler take on the returning Colons and the match starts off in Carlito and Primo’s favour, with the heels still a bit confused and flustered. A Vickie Guerrero interference turns the tables in the heels’ favour but later while Truth is in the ring, Ziggler jumps off the apron and leaves with Guerrero, stranding Truth in the ring with Primo, who gets the hot tag to Carlito and “The Bad Apple” nails his opponent with a Backstabber for the three.

Result: The Colons defeat Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth

Commercial Break

We go backstage to Zack Ryder, who is sitting in the locker room icing his nose. Gail Kim walks up to him and asks if he’s okay and Ryder nods sorrowfully. Gail congratulates him for qualifying for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match and Ryder thanks her. Gail smiles and says that if Ryder’s still hurting later he should see her; she’s an expert at making pain go away. Gail smiles flirtatiously as Ryder looks up and smiles, giving a faint ‘woo, woo, woo’ before going back to tending to his bruises.

Match Three: Women’s Champion Kharma takes on Kelly Kelly in the latter’s rematch for the Women’s Championship after she lost her title (then the Divas Championship) to Kharma at Capitol Punishment. Although a slightly longer match than last time, Kharma wins the match once more with the Implant Buster, her second match as convincing as her first.

Result: Kharma defeats Kelly Kelly; retains Women’s Championship

We go backstage to where Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne are with Scott Stanford for an interview. He asks them why they’re standing here together and Rey Mysterio says that it’s their intentions to get a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships held by Joseph Mercury and Seth Rollins. Scott asks them how they became a team so quickly and Rey says that at the end of last week, Evan had his back and came out to help after The SES attacked him. Bourne says that he approached Rey after the match and said that he was his idol and asked if he would consider teaming together. Rey says that he of course accepted and together with John Cena and Kofi Kingston, they are going to rid Monday Night Raw of the disease that is The Straight Edge Society.

We have a video package on the career of Triple H.

Commercial Break

After the break we hear the annoying voice of Ricardo Rodriguez, who announces Alberto Del Rio in his unique way, getting a lot of heat for it. Del Rio comes out in a vintage car, smiling cockily in that ‘I’m better than you’ way. In a new touch, Rodriguez also introduces Skip Sheffield although in a much less extravagant way, that underlines his much less extravagant entrance, consisting of him walking behind Del Rio’s car to the ring, expressionless. Once the trio is all in the ring, Del Rio tells the crowd his name, but of course, they already knew that. He says that in two weeks time he and Skip Sheffield will face Jack Swagger and John Morrison, who he calls a meddler. He says that if his team wins, then they get to choose the stipulation for his match with Swagger at Money In The Bank. Del Rio invites Swagger and Morrison out here so he can tell them what will happen when they lose in two weeks time. Jack Swagger’s music plays to a pop as he walks down to the ring accompanied by “The Shaman Of Sexy” and the duo play to the fans along the way. Del Rio thanks them for joining them and he says that when he and Skip Sheffield defeat them in two weeks time, he will go on to Money In The Bank to face Swagger in a no disqualifications… no count outs… handicap match!

The crowd boos as Del Rio says that it will be him and Sheffield taking on Jack at the same time with Swagger being virtually hopeless as he is beaten down. “The All-American American” laughs and asks Del Rio if he really thinks that that’s going to happen? He says that he’s not going to let Alberto get away with what he did at Capitol Punishment, and that when he and Morrison win in two weeks, he’s going to make Skip Sheffield banned from ringside for their match at Money In The Bank. Del Rio sneers and Swagger says that as for the match stipulation itself, he’ll reveal it when he wins. Morrison chimes in, pointing out to Alberto that it’s not a matter of ‘if’ he and Swagger will win, just like there’s no ‘if’ about him defeating Skip Sheffield tonight. With that, Morrison runs and grabs Del Rio, throwing him over the top rope onto the apron. Swagger then runs at his nemesis and takes both over the top and out of the ring, leaving JoMo and Sheffield in the ring together to start their match.

Match Four: John Morrison and Skip Sheffield go head to head in a match where the winner will gain the fifth spot in the Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match. The match sees momentum shift from Morrison, then to Sheffield and then back to Morrison, who pins Sheffield after some failed interference from Alberto Del Rio and a Starship Pain.

Result: John Morrison defeats Skip Sheffield; qualifies for MITB Ladder Match

We have a video package for the career of The Undertaker.

Commercial Break

Main Event: In a colossal eight-man tag team match, The Straight Edge Society takes on John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne. The action goes back and forth for a while before Bourne plays face in peril and gets beaten down by all four SES members, until he gets the hot tag to the WWE Champion and Cena cleans house. Bodies fly everywhere and people are sent flying out of the ring, until Cena and legal man Joseph Mercury are left amidst the confusion, with Cena nailing Mercury with an Attitude Adjustment for the pin and win.

Result: John Cena, Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne defeat The Straight Edge Society

After the match, the faces clear any remaining Society members and just like last week, CM Punk’s stable is forced to come together on the ramp and watch the faces celebrate to end the show.

Nice again. A lot to comment on, I like the honesty and sharpness in the writing, like: 'Bourne plays a face in peril.' It's refreshing and instantly you get a picture of what is happening, and as I said I like the quicker reading, and the more detailed PPV writing.
