I'm not sure if it's just me, but the old thread has become an absolute pain in the ass to open due to it trying to take me ten or so pages ahead of the actual last page. So to make it easier, here's a new thread.

Old thread for those of you who wish to refer back: http://www.wrestlingforum.com/booker/510932-official-btb-discussion-thread.html

~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Use references like google or onlineworldofwrestling for answers to questions you could easily find yourself

Post away.

If Wolfy miraculously turns on the jets and is able to churn out a SummerSlam, that'd be swell. Or if iMac gets to his Wrestlemania, that'd be seven kinds of awesome as well.

...and that totally rhymed.

And to answer your question, Leeroy, I kinda got lost in the ramble of most of it, but what I can say is I somewhat share the sentiment of the vicious circle of working your ass off. Personally, it does irk me if I pump out something I put a great bit of effort/time/etc. into just to get little, if any, response, although any response is great. It does get rather tedious when much of the feedback for your own work is from yourself. Though I think my problem might be my stuff is a tad hard to get into (that or I just suck), but that's neither here nor there.

As for shooting for the whole 'being THE BTB' thing, I don't see much wrong with aiming for something, although I'm in agreeance that that really isn't the right thing to be aiming for. And being in the position I am in the section and not really being the best writer, I don't really think it's my place to say "ZOMG they need to aim for this". I can only speak for me, and William aims for getting better with every show...even if I'm the only one who reads it

Wow...I kinda rambled there myself. It's 4 in the morning. Idk what I'm saying.

16 hrs. That's long though.

But you will really take long to analyze and finish your PPV show, 5-7 hours, you can finish it all, reading the others' ppv, etc. but, 16 hours is really long.

Shock, Melvis & 619 ... all familiar names. Glad to see you guys are still around. Working on compiling a roster I can work with now. Working out pretty well. I should be good to go before the end of the week. Lol, definitely glad you all remember the old ECW thread too. I'll try my best not to disappoint!

I hear that. And kudoz to Heat on getting this thread out of it's no-one-reply-for-three-days-then-get-heavy-with-Inner-Circle-jokes rut.

EDIT: And Roll'd, I didn't have a Facebook at the time. And that match was, to that point, longer than any shit I'd ever written...idk. Maybe there's just something wrong with me.

Anyone got any tips for writing at 3:30 in the morning in the States?

Edge indeed won the Gold Rush Tournament, which was a tourney featuring some of the top stars of RAW, thus he was in it. This was in about May (just after Triple H had "walked out", leading to the Hell in a Cell), resulting in him facing Batista for the title. Basically, he didn't come out and declare he wanted to be number one contender, because considering he had the briefcase, that would be odd.

I was saying that because I've only been here since 06, I don't know what kind of BTB's happened before that time period, and there's no way I am going to go looking haha. Too lazy for that.

And for feedback, for the all of 3 shows or so I've posted, it has actually helped me. The feedback at least for me has made me realize just what I need to improve on. I mean, I use to write so shitty. I would write a Punk promo and someone like Batista, who isn't that great on the mic, the same way. I now know how to differentiate between them and write each accordingly.

The only defintion of useless feedback I can think of are people who pretty much recite what you know you've already done without really giving you any substance. And telling people to read the feedbacking article may make people think about thier feedback, it won't automatically make them a better feedbacker i.e. reading Legend or Wolfy's thread won't automatically make anyone a good booker.

Just b/c you don't post a paragraph about each show segment doesn't mean you're giving useless feedback.

Bingo as I have said in the past I rather a fellow booker give me a few lines of what worked, what didn't as opposed to say a few paragraphs. As long as I'm being helped that is fine.
