I'm not sure if it's just me, but the old thread has become an absolute pain in the ass to open due to it trying to take me ten or so pages ahead of the actual last page. So to make it easier, here's a new thread.
~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Use references like google or onlineworldofwrestling for answers to questions you could easily find yourself
I book on the fly mostly. I plan some of it out. For example MITB in my thread is not for another two months but I know who I want to win the briefcase. I guess the big picture stuff I plan out. Everything else is just tossed together in a coherent matter.
A created promotion with created wrestlers if really a fun thing to do. I did it once as a kid. I would write all the promotional details in a notepad. All wrestler bio's at the back of the book and then have a separate book for the show bookings/TV tapings.
Starting a new thread and dont want the december ppv to be TLC what would be a good name? Anyone have any ideas. Was thinking of just bringing back Armageddon but was wondering if anyone had a better name for an end of a year ppv
Its still gonna be in December so it wouldnt be a new year yet. I was going for something like TNA's Final Resolution or something like that just couldnt think of something
Do you guys only post your BTB's here? Or is there other more active communities? I really want to write, it's fun but it's funner having people read and review your stuff too. I used to have it on another site but it seems pretty much dead now.
decided to get caught up on the WWE 2012: Revolution, I was originally going to start, so I'm deciding on doing this BTB, I plan to make this successful as it can be,
I wouldn't advise even thinking about it. In 95% of cases, one person bails and quite often, without even telling their partner. Bad mix. If you don't want to write Raw & Smackdown just do a different brand or just write Raw or cancel Smackdown.
Recapping ain't frowned upon that much anymore. So long as it's detailed.
What I'd suggest is maybe, if you're doing a BTB from the era where the brand split was going on and was actually exclusive, is writing out the brand that has a PPV upcoming, and recapping the other brand, and going on throughout the months.
When you have a dual-brand show (The Big 4) write up both.
For example:
Up to Backlash: write Raw, recap SD
Up to Judgment Day: recap Raw, write SD
Up to Vengeance: write Raw, recap SD
Up to TGAB: recap Raw, write SD
Up to Summerslam: write Raw, write SD
I had a thread in the Summer for a bit where I did pretty short recaps of shows, only takes about 2 hours to do a show, if that. it was very helpful and it was detailed enough to get the story across. Shows ran to about 3-4 pages, if that. Its a format I live by nowadays.
Thinking of making another appearance as a booker, would anybody be interested in reading a Tna thread circa lockdown 2013?
