I'm not sure if it's just me, but the old thread has become an absolute pain in the ass to open due to it trying to take me ten or so pages ahead of the actual last page. So to make it easier, here's a new thread.
~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Use references like google or onlineworldofwrestling for answers to questions you could easily find yourself
I'm back, and I'm not updated on what's happening here due to some school works. Damn.
Well, I'm asking something, I asked this one to BKB Hulk weeks ago when I voted for the Spring Awards, but he didn't answer. Which is bad.
Well, I'll state it here.
I'm seeing in the previous awards, that the winners and the nominees of that list of awards are almost all of the old-timers and veterans, even Hall of Famers in this BTB. I'm sad that some of the new threads from the up and coming bookers aren't being noticed by many because of the strength of the old BTBs by the veterans. I'm suggesting that, I hope there will be a maximum number of category where a specific person will be nominated. 3-4 category per Username in the Awards. Or, if he's a hall of famer, it is really obvious that he will have a big chance to win that specific category, why not, don't include them anymore in the awards, since their legacy is enough.
I hope you'll take a look on this. I want to give chance to others, especially with the future bookers who have the potential.
Anyway, I have to agree with DC and BkB to be honest. You must recognize the best and if you think there are people that you believe are being robbed. The one thing you need to realize is that you can tell the people in the thread, if they are good enough they'll win. Also, with the amount of people that go around going: "Good Show, can't wait till your next one" or something of the sort, how can people tell if they're any good?
Well, BKB. Thank you for answering though. I'm liking that the old and veterans are getting their respect through the awards, but how will the others momentum rise? Well, I think there's a reason. You're challenging us (I'm one of them, I'm still a newbie in this thread, so yeah) to overcome those veterans, and be the man.

Sure he does. He may have you thinking otherwise, but Alco has been stockpiling of bunch of '04 shows for a while now, haven't you, Alco, old buddy old pal?
Is anybody a fan of monthly recaps? I'm trying to plan out a TNA BTB from it's inception. I want to write monthly recaps because it gives readers a more business standpoint of the BTB. So I'll be showing what's happening behind the scenes, and what the state of the company is, etc.
As long as your sole focus isn't the backstage and business aspect and a lot of your focus is still on the on-screen product then I don't see why not. I've seen it on other forums and it's worked a treat. But yeah, just make sure you strike the balance between the detail of the on-screen product as well as the backstage ongoings and you should be fine, as far as i'm concerned.
Nothing gets over via recaps. They can be fun to read, but they make your angles, matches and overall booking pointless in my opinion. You have to remember this is different to the Guest Booker thing.
Got in a really good mood to write today and came up with some solid ideas for the first time in a while. Looking at bringing back the CW division and I feel like I can give alot of credibility to it. I plan on starting after Extreme Rules but I'm not 100% sure about that just yet. I just have this new found need to write. And I feel being a comm/english major helps that.
I had an idea to do an '09 thread that involved Punk starting the SES right as/before he beat Hardy for the title and have it getting out of control big with Punk brainwashing half of the roster, but I kind of just fell out of ideas for it.
No chance of that happening. I think the month-long phase where he bought a shit ton of ROH DVD's, used my Megaupload membership to download ridiculous amounts of matches and wrote the ROH BTB has died.
Whilst I prefer reading full shows, recaps can get the job done. I'm pretty sure Dubbya has written some pretty good recaps, and DC's Chronicles was started with adequate recaps.
Yeah DC's Chronicles had recaps and he made them easy to read. They can be done if you set them out and write them properly.
