Hey guys, starting a new BTB soon. Curious on how activity 'round here is doing?

Greetings, everyone. Thinking really hard about jumping back in and doing some writing. I need to find a format that is fun and doesn't require an excessive amount of time, but I do want to find a project, I think. I don't have time to write matches in full, even at pay-per-views, but I think telling a good story is possible without this. I'm looking at doing a fictitious dream federation with all of my favorite wrestlers from a decade ago. I haven't followed wrestling since 2010 but few things are more fun to write. I'm going to finalize everything within the week and hopefully get started. Any advice on formatting?

Having a tough time thinking of a cool name for a X Division six-man elimination match. Anyone have any ideas?

How offputting (f at all) can an unrealistic roster be when making a created fed? Currently working on one and although I adore my roster, I feel it may be too unrealistic (not that I personally care) and I feel it may stop people from reading or even giving it a chance?

Also, how vital is the backstory to how the company formed? Is a lot of detail particularly needed? I personally feel not seeing as it has very little to do with the actual stuff you're writing, but I may be wrong.

Pls no "DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY, ITS YOUR THREAD, WRITE FOR YOU NOT FOR OTHERS" answers, either

Depends on who's on the roster, for me. If there are guys there that I like, then I'll read it. I like realism as much as the next guy, but not to such an extent that I'll completely stay away from a created fed with guys from WWE and TNA.

I'm not really too concerned with backstories when it comes to created feds. Whether it's Paul Heyman giving somebody a call, or somebody winning the lottery, the end result is always the same: a new company.

The best created threads have been fairly realistic, don't feel it's a coincidence. Headline WWE guys and key mid-card talent going to created companies completely puts me off. Others will disagree, some will say the same.

If the backstory has believable reasons why the big stars from other companies are joining the created fed I wouldn't be against it. I do feel that some form of backstory is needed however.

I was just looking over the BTB awards from last year, and it got me thinking: is it more difficult to get recognition in this section if you're not booking WWE, or a thread with mostly WWE 'guys' in it?

Not really. Talent will always get recognition in some shape or form.
