Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Has there ever been a successful XWF BTB? Just curious, I've been looking for the right project and the possibilities of booking Hogan, piper, the road warriors, and bobby heenan seems like a lot of fun of course I'll also have to come up with something for buff bagwell, Jim Duggan, and the nasty boys but the good out weighs the bad I suppose.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

So in the case of starting a WWE fed BTB, there is always usually a current champion. I hate said champion and cannot wait to take the championship away from him(WHC btw), how long is an appropriate time after starting the BTB to give somebody else the Championship? I don't want to rush it, but I don't want him to have it haha.

Basically how soon is too soon to take away the World Heavyweight Title after starting a BTB?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Whenever you want. But, if you hate the character, try and come up with a new one? rather than jobbing someone who is credible enough to be in the main event simply because you don't like them. Everyone who books has someone they hate, I did but, I sill booked them on the level they should have been booked.

Depends on the story you decide to tell, instead of just rushing the title off the champion make a moment out of it, let the story be organic and flow naturally. Myself when doing tna in 2006, I hated Jeff jarrett as champion but waited two or three months before getting the belt off him and never let my resent of him as champion allow him to look weak.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

How would people feel about a WWF 1993 BTB on here? Anybody interested?

Not been around on BTB for a long time since I lost interest in my GCB's WWE thread but I've got some great ideas (I think so, anyway) for 1993. It'd be like reliving my childhood for me, I loved WrestleMania 9. Until I got wiser to what wrestling was and realised, in hindsight, that it sucked big time. Still, I've got a lot of enthusiasm for that era.

You've got a lot of gimmicks that could either really motivate you or, annoy you so it's entirely your choice, personally I'd love to read it, not to book it.

Yeah, just typing out the roster is an eyeopener - I was putting the gimmick titles in speech marks, i.e. Bret "The Hitman" Hart, there must be about 15 wrestlers like that. Then, there is the gimmick names that don't need the speech marks on top of that, i.e. The Undertaker. I'll get rid of some gimmicks that annoy me but I think I can make it entertaining.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

You have to make Doink a credible guy, he was great in the early 90's.
