Are there any WWE/TNA threads around that have given Daniel Bryan a main event push before he actually became a main eventer IRL?

How do you guys feel about writing really technical matches? I'm aiming to do a pretty long TV match on my next Smackdown, and I'm about half way through it but I'm struggling with the chain wrestling aspects of the match.

I know the majority of the match isn't going to be a series of submissions, but there has to be an element of that in there as both guys are pretty apt with submissions and counters etc.

Does a relatively basic knowledge of in-ring physics and psychology do the job for you guys when writing these matches, or would you sit there and watch a couple of full length matches to see what is required? Just something I've been thinking about whilst writing this show and wondered if anyone had any thoughts/similar issues.

As a reader, I think its a matter of sticking to what you're comfortable with. If you're trying really hard to write this technical masterpiece and you're not exactly comfortable in writing it, then it will show in your writing. I, personally, would much rather read a more simple and fluid piece than a gritty, detailed yet clunky, 50/50, not so sure'ish piece, if that makes sense. But I guess on the other hand, staying within your comfort zone doesn't allow you to improve blah blah. So basically I'm rambling.

Basically, if it's not working out for you as a writer, it won't work out for us as a reader and we'll be able to tell a mile off. Stick to what you're comfortable with but don't be afraid to try it anyway, there's no harm in going back and restarting if needs be.

Did that even answer the question remotely? I dunno.

Ramble ramble ramble.

The one problem with starting a BTB a couple of months in the future is when a PPV like SummerSlam happens and you see the potential storyline you could create from that, only to have gone in a different direction

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here but would like to just say hello to you all and ask some quick questions.

1. I have my own "Be The Booker" that I use TEW 2013 (The Adam Ryland simulator) to properly simulate and work with me. Is that something that is generally looked down upon on this board or is it okay to use? The reason I ask is I've read through some of the stuff here and nobody seems to use TEW at all for their stuff.

2. Are longer shows looked down on? Again, I ask this because most people have relatively short shows and mine tend to be a little longer. They aren't chapters and chapters but I can easily go to 25-30 lines per match and sometimes longer for a big angle or two.

Those are really my only questions. I'm looking forward at posting my own BTB here and adding to the community here.

1. As long as you don't directly copy and paste anything from the game in to your BTB, you're fine. You can use it for everything else, just write everything out in your own words and whatnot. You can use it to determine match grades, injuries, signings/firings etc.

2. The section is fairly quiet at the minute, but usually there are a lot of threads that have longer shows, they're certainly not looked down upon around these parts. If the booking and the writing is good quality, you'll get attention sooner or later. All I'd say is don't sacrifice quality just o make your shows longer.

Good luck .

Szumi did it with EWR and it's the best thread on this site. No reason why TEW can't act in the same way.

If anything is looked down on around these waters, it's recap format. A lot of people don't seem to take to it, unfortunately. So writing a long show should be fine for you.

Why has this section been so dead. First post in this thread of the month?

I'd give the excuse that it's September, school/college/university is starting again blah blah blah. But the section wasn't much better during the Summer either.

If levels of activity were to pick up, I'd be surprised if it happened soon.
