Personally, I think shows lose a certain something when done in recap form (readers, mainly it seems ), it just seems that events & angles start to become less memorable to readers. But with enough detail involved, I don't see the problem in it, especially if you're short on time to actually dedicate to writing, but want to produce something. If I hadn't started recapping shows following Summerslam, with my passion for doing this thing coming and going so quickly, I'm not sure I would still be regularly contributing at all. But I will be writing shows in full again - just not all that often.

I always thought Szumi's recaps were enjoying to read through, along with a few others here and there. I prefer recaps, but only if they're done correctly to an extent. I HATE reading through matches if I'm honest. Kudos to the people with the desire and motivation to do it, and if I decide to review a show, I read through the match and put my thoughts out there, but as I've said, I prefer recaps.

I agree with Wolfy. There's only one way to get detail, emotion and subtle storytelling in your writing, and it ain't by recapping, folks.

I would have quoted the hell out of this in my Newsletter debate, if only you'd posted this two weeks ago.

Could you provide an example please? And no it can't be something you've already posted.

I much more enjoy when things are written out. I'm kinda anal about stuff but to me, it's much more easy to get invested if something's written out then recapped.

Tbh you can capture the emotion and all in recap form, when done right. This is something I am beginning to learn and experiment with.

^ True, but you are GOD, we are just mere mortals.

Anyways, I've been on this board for quite some time, and I didn't have this problem before. Whenever I post my shows I copy them over from word, then I click on the little A/A button and then when I post it's always double line spaced. Also all my font sizes are changed to about 2 (probably around 9 in Word). Anybody else have this problem. I use Microsoft Word 2003, though this has happened to me with 2010 as well..

Full shows aren't the only way to portray emotion. That's the shallow minded opinion that ruins this place.
