Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I'm planning on having CM Punk and KENTA on the same roster in an upcoming BTB and was wondering if anyone has any finisher ideas to replace CM Punk's GTS? I rather him not have the Pepsi Plunge or the Shining Wizard and I am looking for a throw or a strike since he'll still have the Anaconda Vise, so he won't need another submission move. Some ideas I've considered are the Punk-Handle Piledriver, the Pepsi Twist, the Roundhouse Kick, and the Burning Hammer. If anyone has any better ideas or thinks one of those would be good, let me know.

I like the idea of using the Roundhouse Kick as a finisher, But at the same time i'd still say the Pepsi Plunge is better. Maybe you could use both? Or do a storyline feud where the winner gets the GTS as a finisher?

you could have them try to out GTS each other or have him use the Shining Wizard like he used to. Or for lawls have him use the Welcome to Chicago Motherfucker

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Hey everyone! I've been lurking the BTB Section for a while and I really enjoy reading it. I finally decided to sign up and give it a shot of my own. I'm planning on doing one using independent wrestlers. I'm just curious about how familiar people on here are with wrestlers from ROH and DGUSA? I'm wondering if just listing the roster will be enough or if I have to give some history of each wrestler. Thanks in advance!

There are a few guys around here who know some indy talent, but I think the majority of them wouldn't really be followers of Dragon Gate or ROH so you should probably give a little history for each wrestler.

OK. Thanks. I'll do that when I reveal the roster.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Hey just wondering what everyone's opinion is on match lengths. If anyone read my latest Nitro I wrote what I feel is a farely lengthy match between Sting and Dean Malenko. Just wondering if lots of writing takes you out of the match, so to speak?

I skimmed the match a bit. It really depends on what the match is.
A main event match should be the longest unless theatrics are thrown in, or another match you have planned to be the longest/best is on the card. Personally I feel it's fine to say someone is just grappling or mat wrestling for a few minutes instead of going through every hold or reversal. lowers the reading amount to me anyway.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

My three favorite match writers have been Wolfy in his Being the Booker, Jushin Liger in all of his different threads and in tournaments, and Szumi in his WCW Trio Ownership. They each have their own approach, but I think they all work for their own reasons.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I'm looking for a good theme song for a Straight Edge Society CM Punk. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.
