Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Hey guys, Thinking I may start up a new thread here soon. I doubt many (if any) of you remember my short lived thread last year that wasn't all that good.
I was never a big fan of Terkay. He had good size and a decent look but other than that I didn't see anything special in him.

I was a big fan of him and Burke actually; I really thought he was going to go places when he first debuted.

I think the only thing against Turkey is his age, he is 42.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Weren't Terkay/Burke supposed to be called The Knockout/Tapout Connection or something? Because of Burke's boxing background (KO) and Terkay's wrestling background (tapout) I thought I was a genius a year or two back for creating that name for a Danielson/Hero team I was gonna' introduce in one of my threads, but then I found out that Burke and Terkay had it for like, one week.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I've played about three years into my EWR TNA game.
I'm wanting to go back to the start and begin a BTB based on where I took the company.
I'm just curious if anyone else has done this? If so, how did you do it? How long did you do it for?
I've never done a proper BTB before, I've no real clue on how to type out the promos. If I were to post it as more of an official TNA website review of the shows while throwing in some dirt sheet information would that be acceptable?
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your advice.

Seeing as my thread is set in 2007 when he's 36/37, that's not that much of an issue.
The reason I'm tempted to use him is that I'd like to add a more legit chracter to my mid card, but I'm struggling to think of any other candidates. Anyone got any other ideas?

The best I've seen done here at translating a EWR game to a thread has been Szumi's Trio Ownership thread so you should check that out and maybe PM him for some tips.

No, you're busy booking Hurricane in a Hell in a Cell match on Raw and having The Rock tap out to Flair's Figure Four instead.

If you're going to translate an EWR game into BTB, I'd say play the EWR game first, then book. Otherwise, if you continue playing whilst booking, you end up going way past your BTB and lose interest. At least, I have done in the past.
Here's a question - does anyone ever try writing out a preview for a PPV match, just to see if it gives you ideas for what to book in the build up to it? It can be quite effective. I remember for playwriting at university we used to have to write something called a 'Treatment' - basically an extended preview & explanation of the play - in the style of the play. So if you were writing a comedy, the tone with which you wrote the treatment had to reflect what the play would be like.
I'll stop rambling now.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Quick Question; When Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade were teaming up in late 03/04, did they ever have a team name? If not, have any of you got any ideas because I can't think for shit.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Not all teams need an actual team name. Naming them Cade & Jindrak for example works just as fine.
