How do YOU plan your feuds/storylines/angles?

What I mean by that is is there a set way you plan your feuds or does it just depend? Do you think of they payoff and book backwards from that payoff to the beginning of the feud? Do you do the opposite, begin a feud and then plan up to the pay off? Do you simply think of two guys you want to feud with each other, create a feud between them and make it up as you go along? Do you think of someone you want to push and just think of the most logical, interesting and/or dynamic way to go about it?

To put the question in to context. Say you started a thread after a Wrestlemania (which a lot of people tend to do) and you are planning your PPVs up until Summerslam (which a lot of people tend to do) - Do you create the PPV cards in chronological order - Backlash to Judgement Day to whatever - and end up at Summerslam? Or do you plan your Summerslam card and then work backwards? Do you do a bit of both? Do you have a general idea of the main events/who you want to push at/by Summerslam, but plan in chronological order.

Has you planning style changed as you have grown and developed as a booker and as a writer? If so, how was it before and how has it changed in to what it is now?

I think it'll be interesting to see how planning techniques/preferences/styles differ from thread to thread and booker to booker.
There is an app I use on my iPhone for it called N+OTES. I plan out pay per view cards, plans for feuds and tile reigns, I have both my rosters on there, I have the real life set ups for pay per views, such as what segment went after what match, I have planned all the way through Summerslam as far as the main event goes, that's my strategy. I plan the main events for the pay per views then work down to the high mid card feuds, then IC/US title, and etc.

I was thinking about maybe posting a thread in the resources section that has screenshots of how I use it and kind of a walk through of how others could.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

That sounds like quite a nice idea, tbh. I'd be interested in looking into how you do it.

Also, my newest thread, as expected. Dead. Yay (y)

Join the club.

Also, whilst TantruM brought it up, I think some possible updates/new articles/threads for the recourses section would be cool and I'd be more than happy to create/design those threads, if we can come up with any suggestions. If anybody has any ideas, just throw them out there for us to discuss and I'll look in to maybe doing it if a) it's wanted/needed and b) Brye allows for it, if I do indeed need his permission.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

The BTB section needs a makeover. Nobodies threads are being viewed, nearly none of the resources threads are new or up to date, and its pretty lame. I'd very much love to make a youtube video possibly of me talking about the app and then posting it here or something like that, or possibly just screenshots. I may contact a mod and see what I can do I think it could revolutionize how some of you guys plan your BTBs. It's helped me so mich.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I think it's because the only threads that get comments or substantial reviews are the Wolf Beast, Melvis, 619DH's of the pack. The rest get one liners and nothing that can actually help them improve. The main problem in my opinion is a lot of the newer yet solid threads like Szumi's for example aren't getting any real look-up (which surprised me considering his popularity level). I'm inclined to also say it may be because only people who have 10K + words per shows will get any worthwhile comment.

Then again, you don't write for comments.

Not even true. I've posted 1 pay per view and 2 shows. And got like 2 comments which were basically. "It's not good cause you dont have the rock and sting." Wut?
