Can anyone suggest/come up with some creative names?
WWF IN YOUR HOUSE (insert name)

Like That Guy said above, it all depends what storylines you are doing at the time. There was Rock Bottom and a D-X In Your House PPV. So go with names that relate to your current storylines. Or you could go with Pay Per View names used nowadays such as: Backlash, Judgement Day, Unforgiven, Rebellion and so on.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Quick question; how does everyone judge how long their PPV matches are?
I know that some people use the 200 Words = 1 minute rule, but I don't think that works for me because of my writing style where I try to get a lot of description in there. Is it sometimes just a case of knowing beforehand how long you want the match to go and then just writing it, with it not mattering actually how much you wrote?

I prefer just to write down the main action and points of matches, and if they go mat wrestling or grappling or brawling for a few minutes, just say they do. I don't exactly like reading really long matches so i prefer to make mine kinda short hand. I have one on my third page of my BTB if you want to see more examples of that.

You can count what you want to count. I have a tendency to go on long spiels regarding description as well, so some of the wording I just don't count in the final calculations. But then there's some moments that can get very descriptive that might need to be included (i.e. someone struggling to get to the ropes in a submission move that in reality does eat up a bit of time), so that's not to say they should all be excluded. But ultimately, I've give you the cop-out answer - it's up to you.
Or you could count it all, even the fluff, and try to impress people with a longer match. Because if it's long, it must be good. Quantity > quality, amirite

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Okay, it shouldn't really be much of a secret that I am in the process of writing a 2001 thread following WCW's purchase and I've got plans from Judgment Day to almost Summerslam in place. I was wondering, what would the general thought be on an eventual cancellation of Smackdown from the WWF and just having RAW is WAR on a weekly basis? It could be seen as being lazy and not wanting to write two shows for one brand and it partially is but, I also feel that following WCW's purchase, Smackdown eventually will serve very little purpose when I can get what I want written usually in the four/five weeks between PPV A & PPV B on four/five episodes of Raw as opposed to ten episodes of WWF TV that would just probably be filled with a LOT of filler.

With the purchase of WCW you are going to have a lot of extra talent on the roster and if you bring in some of the talent that weren't signed initially like Steiner, Nash, Hogan and so on then your going to have an inflated amount of talent.
Personally you could have Raw move to 3 hours or just simply recap Smackdown with just results and use it to give some unused talent and up and comers some TV time.
But at the end of the day if you can achieve what you want with a two hour Raw then go for it.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Thanks That Guy and Zidane2000. For the first IYH ppv I will go by a name that will relate to my current storyline and then for future ppvs I'll use the others I mentioned in my previous post.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Hey could people use spoiler tags on the rosters at the start of a BtB? Whenever I start reading one I know who all the champions are going to be, and it spoils it. If there are spoiler tags around it, people can easily read it, but only if they want to.

What're you talking about? It's not who all the champions are going to be it's who they are. Why would you want to be left in the dark on who's on the roster? How ill-informed do you watch your wrestling?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
That why I say have the spoiler tags. For someone who incoming into the btb for the first time, they can avoid finding out who will be champion. But for someone up to date with the btb, they can easily see the champions and roster for themselves.
