Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Forgive me for forgetting this and this may or may not be a stupid question but how did they write in the Cyber Sunday match stipulations? Did they just randomly choose the stipulation matches to be decided upon or did the wrestlers like sign a contract for it or something? Thanks to whoever can help :x

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
They just chose the stipulations/opponents and then the fans decided.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I'm finished my first show for my thread, but it's going to take a long time to format it for this forum, space it out, add on the colors and what not. I'm guessing there isn't any quicker way of posting a Word document the forum, or anything like that?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Well it just comes along with picking up little shortcuts for the formatting as you do more shows.
To save having to press enter continuously when it comes to actually putting the show on the forum, you could just press Enter twice after every line on Word so it appears with the spaces in between the lines when you copy it into the reply box.
Also instead of formatting shows all at once, now I always format it in parts. So as soon as I've finished a promo for example I will copy it into the reply box, format just that part and then put the text with the coding from the forum on it back into the Word document. Then if you do that for the whole show you can then once it is finished you can just copy the whole formatted show from Word into the reply box and then it is ready to go!

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
There used to be a way with Internet Explorer (maybe Firefox too) where you could 'switch editor mode' and it allowed you to copy and paste it from Word straight into the forum with all the Word formatting still intact. At the moment, on IE8 the button is there, but it doesn't work, so I PMed Headliner about it and he says it's probably a VerticalScope issue but he'll look into it. I manually formatted my tournament entry because I figured the deadline would go past before the issue would be fixed - if that's even possible - but it's a pain to do it for a full show so I'm going to see how it goes. It's basically the reason I haven't posted the shows I've written. The old system had some issues (half the time it got the font wrong) but if you had a system to work it out then generally it was a time-saver.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Wow... I'm thinking of holding off posting until that gets fixed, sounds like a massive time saver.

Well you may be waiting for a long time, you may as well just go through it and post it.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
It's that time near the end of the year where all the old timers decide to show their faces again. I'm intrigued...

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Random question, but after watching Raw it's just happened to me and it's annoyed me a fair bit
Ever had a plan or just debuted someone in your thread, and then a company in real life, be it the WWE or otherwise, have debuted a VERY similar gimmick before/not long after your debut or after you've thought of the idea? In my case, it is virtually a carbon copy of the gimmick I was planning on using, and now I'm insure whether I should continue to give this person the gimmick or just think of something else. I'm also posting this so that I can refer back to it when people go "oh, the gimmick you've given him is very similar to his one in real life."

You damn skippy it's time to be intrigued.
Also, I actually have a question for once. How do people feel about a superstar losing in his return match/segment? I'm not talking about like Lesnar coming back and losing his first pay-per-view, I'm talking about someone coming back as a "surprise opponent" and then looking strong in the match but ultimately losing. Do you think it should never happen, or that as long as the guy still looks good, it's okay?
