Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I was just wondering, is the deceased rule for deceased wrestlers, or for anyone who is deceased? I'm thinking of making a BTB that will offend some people.. .
I'd be using EWR for it, so I'd actually be able to stick to this thread. I have it all set-up. Haha.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I presume it's for any deceased, period. It's just not included in the rules because not many people would think to bring Michael Jackson in to their 2011 BTB or whatever. Oh, and if you're going to offend people, just don't be a tasteless jerk about it

I didn't plan on doing so, just trying to make it humorous.
That's a shame. I really wanted to use Amanda Todd as a coward heel, or Barack Obama as a face in my BTB.

I doubt that rule even applies now. XD

Well rules or no rules, stuff like this is just common decency and respect and theres a thin line between being decent and respectful and being an absolute prick. Barrack Obama would be quite hilarious, but the Amanda Todd thing is just down-right insensitive, IMO. However, what I find disrespectful may be funny to you other guys, and vice versa.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a prick. Hitler was also going to be in the company.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
It's cool to try something different. I remember I wrote a 'comedy' BTB once at another place, just for something different to do. Put in characters such as 'Robin Hood' and 'Little John' whilst making up my own characters such as 'The Postmen'. Some guy I made up called 'Round 50' (big dude) was the main heel haha. In terms of 'comedy', I done things such as The Postmen throwing letter bombs at the opponents and Robin Hood randomly dancing in the ring to 'YMCA'. I was expecting it to flop, but most reviewers really found it quite entertaining and funny, and kept wanting more! I remember them saying that outside the 'comedy', the best thing about the BTB was the fact that there was only around 29 people in attendance each week, the show only lasted for half an hour (which made for full shows), and was sold on DVDs in the promotion's way of making money etc. In an attempt to keep things realistic, I explained that the shows were taped before a local indy show or something like that and was an extra bonus to fans who bought tickets early. Wouldn't mind doing something like that again actually, as it was fun to do.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I could never get into a BTB with people in it that are dead. Even if they were alive at the time. The idea being discussed here sounds really offensive.

I'd say 'a bit' is...a bit...of an understatement.
