Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

My favourite match to write is a hardcore style match that has a story to it. The best match I feel I ever wrote was one I never posted. Was for Cyberslam, again in my ECW thread, was the match between Tommy Dreamer & C.W Anderson, thought it was brutal, told a brilliant story and had a story going into it too.

I'm not big on writing tag team matches, can sometimes get a bit boring.

I have watched those before and they can be helpful but I prefer wikipedia personally, My computer sucks so youtube freezes alot on it which gets annoying fast.

Normally I have a general idea after 2 or 3 shows what feuds I want to build up for the bigger PPV's and I always know my first PPV main event before I even start writing a BTB, Everything else I tend to book on the fly or else I tend to lose interest.

See what you mean, however I think one of the (many) reasons my old btbs failed was because I didn't plan ahead. Now that I've had this btb in my head for sometime I've planned to Mania.

Ahh yeah once I get going with mine (currently im in the progress of writing the first show) I will probably be able to figure out a general idea of where I want to take things down the road and then work to get there as I go. The first ever BT I did on another site I had all my major storylines planned out ahead of time and it made me lose interest because I had no idea how to get there, Learned my lesson.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I plan PPV cards from big event to big event with a general idea of what I want to come after, but nothing definite. For example, I'd plan all of the PPV cards from Wrestlemania to Summerslam and have them almost confirmed and locked in place, but I will have a general idea of where I want to go from Summerslam to Survivor Series but I won't confirm anything as such until I reach that point.

So I probably plan 4 months in advance (WM-SSlam, SSlam-SSeries, SSeries-WM)

Yeah, I get what you mean. I'm kinda like that too, I write my next big card and kinda plan how I'm gonna get there.
