Right, so I'm trying to post in my thread with some post PPV updates etc... but it says that there is malware on the page... yay.

EDIT: It says that its from sbnation, has the site recently started displaying advertisements from them does anyone know?

Also Brye if you deem this not related to booking just move it to some other area where it is appropriate, was just wondering if anyone else is encountering this?

Has AnYone ever used the kayfabe commentaries guest booker as a basis for a btb project.

I'm thinking it could be fun, you do the mosk interview n character, give him a scenario pick someone who hasn't been done before, and after shows are booked and major developments are pulled off you can really examine what the thought process of your booking was in character. I think it could be fun, maybe a guest booker with ric flair doing smack downs summer of 2006 or Abe doing something like guest booker with Kevin Nash, the summer of raw 2002 after the Austin walk out.

I think it could be kinda epic, any thoughts.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

I've seen it done elsewhere, but not here.

Alright so here is something I've been wondering so I can hopefully approve on. How do you guys plan out shows and matches?

The way I plan out shows is I write down all the segments I want on the show and then put them in what order I think best fits for a nice flow to the show.

The way I plan my matches out is I either do little time break downs where I want something to happen at a specific part of the match or I just have a couple notes on what spots I would like to have in the match and just go in free hand.

Anyone use similar or different methods?

I plan my segments in any order, find an order which makes sense, then insert commercial breaks where appropriate. With matches, if I'm doing them in full, I have a spot or two which I want to happen, I have the ending, and I have the general story of the match (Heel dominates by working already injured arm, face comeback for example). With all three of those things in mind, I bullshit the rest of it in an entertaining fashion

On the fly. Don't really like thinking things through because I always change my mind. And on the fly is more fun anyway. I have a general idea of what I wanna do but don't go into that much detail. On the fly works best for me.

I used to write out everything I had planned out for the show, and then put them in order and placed in commercial breaks when needed. Usually I'd have a fair idea of what to do for the next show, but during the writing process, if I just randomly think of something good I'd insert it into the show, even if it was something minor (the little things matter too!). My biggest weakness was match writing, but I always had an idea of what to do. Been a while since I last done produced a BTB anywhere, in fact it's been a long time since I've written a show in full or recap form anywhere. Maybe I should get back into this sometime haha.

I have everything mapped out for the most part. I'm at NoC and already have my Mania card written.

What would you think of a Kaiju Big Battel style BTB? Some of the top Indy Stars in over the top gimmicks (like early 1990's WWF/WCW?), maybe some of the best "bad" gimmicks and Lucha Stars. Like a Chikara but less Lucha based, more Old School WWF/WCW. Think Doink, Issaac Yankem, Tugboat, Dungeon of Doom, ETC. Like Japan's HUSTLE promotion.

If done tongue in cheek mixing all these styles, would that be a good read?

Could work if written well of course. Need some attention to detail.
