Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Pretty much what ThunderAngel said. It completely depends on who you have in it. Obviously this is an exaggeration but it gets my point across; Kane/Big Show will have umpteen times as many rest periods in a match compared to CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. High spots would be completely the opposite, I would presume, as well. It's all dependent on the situation and the circumstances, much like everything BTB-related.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Alright, so going to introduce myself here real quick. I'm Harry, and I've been writing my own feds (booking) for about 14 years now off and on. I am currently doing a split fed venture with WWA, ran by myself and Paul Heyman. And the WWF, which is run by Vince, Shane and Triple H. The first couple shows for the WWA (it starts timeline wise about two weeks before the WWF relaunches) are bare bones results show, but with show number 4, the match writing, and finishes start to take their place to my more tradtional booking style.
Love to discuss ideas with people, and be a soundboard for storylines, so if anyone wants to add me on Facebook, or IM me, feel free to do so.
FACEBOOK: hebtheeagle page name, or Harry Broadhurst for the search
IM: hebtheeagle on AIM is the main name I use. I do on occasion use my Yahoo IM, and that's the same as the AIM is.
Looking forward to getting to know all you guys. Hopefully, I can add to the community.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Thanks Flux...I actually read some of your indy DVD star ratings as one of my first acts here on WresForum.
Yep, started booking when I was 13. So, it's been quite the road.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I was going to say welcome to the forums but than realised you're older than almost everyone here and joined in 03. Anyway stick around, read some of the threads in the HoF sub section to get a feel of things here and you should be fine.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I joined in 2003? That doesn't seem right. Either way, I go back to the old TOA Booking site, so it's more of a case of figuring out how things work here for posting shows, show lengths, acceptable reviews, and the such.
And yes, on a wrestling forum, late 20s does put me in the sorta jurrasic era

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Not to double post or anything, but I would really appreciate if you guys would be able to get in touch with me via my AIM. I am going to try to put this together, and I'd like some of the more experienced members of the community here to guide me. It would be greatly appreciated.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
The best help is research, my friend. Like The Bad Guy said, just look through the HOF threads, there's a reason why they're in there in the first place. Even then, there are still many threads to look through that aren't in the HOF section that are still top class, I could name a dozen or so off of the top of my head and I haven't even been around here for ages.
And much like real life, the best way to learn is through discovery learning. Yeah, do your research and prepare yourself well and make sure you've found a project you're genuinely interested in, but see for yourself. Post it after the research and prep and see how it goes down. You learn from your mistakes and from your success - you don't have to have one project for the rest of your life. If you get a bad reception for something, carry on and learn from it. It's the best way to learn and progress, and thats in life in general, not just BTB.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I have a lot of stuff planned/worked out for the fed. Having been doing this as long as I have, I've got a collection of resources at my disposal for movesets, and arenas, and the such.
I try to keep people as close to gimmick as possible, but adding my own little twists
Anthony Carrelli is one I am looking forward to posting here to see what you guys think.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Are there any threads from late 80s early 90s that lasted more than a few shows?
