Has anyone ever done the opposite of people here, i.e instead of trying to improve a company and leading it into a "new era", you book it into oblivion? I always thought a Vince Russo books modern day WWE done right would be hilarious. Constant World Title switches, SWERVES!~, badly timed heel turns, 'insert random object here' on a pole matches, titles changing hands via lockbox matches, C-list celebrities in main event PPV matches, wrestlers referring to inside information only IWC members know on the air, etc.
I don't know whether or not anyone has done anything like that besides for their backstories, but I am sure you'd have an audience for it, obviously shown by the already given support. I definitely wouldn't be interested in it for a few reasons. It would lack realism because I don't think McMahon would ever rehire Russo, and if he did he would be filtering a lot of his bad ideas. Another reason I personally wouldn't is due to the fact that I don't watch TNA anymore because of the nonsense going on there. Finally, I'd be satire, which is probably the reason you'd get most of your readers, but I don't like satire, haha. So like I said, it could definitely be done though I personally think you are appealing to niche audience, which is perfectly fine.
Just a little question for me.
I'm not from America so I'm not quite sure what's what in terms of television networks and whatever. Basically, I need a network that would show 2x 90 minute shows a week. The promotion is a brand new promotion and has a few recognizable names but no-one exactly huge. Would show a bit a later at night, maybe about 10/10:30pm? It's not ultraviolent CZW and whatnot, but it isn't PG "lets suck up to the kids" either.
I'd only think local television stations would pick up something completely new unless there were some big names involved in which case you could probably get MTV, truTV, or G4. Of course you also have the option of weekly PPVs, iPPVs, or internet airings as well whether or not you have big names.
