Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I have started a plan for my own be the booker but the main thing I am having trouble is writing the matches as in the moves and how they flow. I cam write the promos and the ending to the matches but not sure how to write a good flow to my matches and also making sure I use the correct moves for people that are realistic as well

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Okay, I asked this at around the same time last year (and was subsequently covered in part by the Newsletter that followed, but since it seems unlikely that one of those exists this time, I'll ask anyway) and I might as well kick off discussion for 2012. Last year I asked what people's booking resolutions and what they were looking forward to the most were, but seeing as the former question yielded just about my answer each time, give more feedback and write more shows, I'll just stick with the latter this time around. With that said; what are you guys looking forward to most in 2012? It can be another booker's PPV or an angle concluding, or something you're excited about/hoping to get to in your own thread.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the masses of good PPVs from several people; for instance, iMac's Mania, Wolfy and Legend's Summerslam, 619's World Ablaze (even if Samoa Joe's not on the card yet he is on the poster ) and I don't know, I'm hoping to post Over The Limit before the year is done. Two PPVs, that seems like an achievable target. I'd also like to see new threads from a couple of people (this includes Shock not dropping his new one, ya jobber) - Emperor and TKOW come to mind, say. Oh, and I see Stoj is back, so best of luck to him too.

Oh, and Leeroy, if you're reading this, I'm fairly sure you owe me a coloured usertitle.

Okay, I'm done. Go.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I am looking forwarded to Melvis Extreme Rules as well as Nige's Survivor series most of all. I am also looking at finding the time to get up to my first paperview as of right now just finishing up my backstory for my thread.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I'm looking forward to continuing to read Nige's work.

Really consistent entetaining booker, who delivers strong work and rarely disappears. IMO one of the guys that's been carrying the BTB section for a while.

And selfishly looking forward to getting back into BTB and finally having a project that outlasts my original (which was 6 months)

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I really enjoy Nige's work and have been looking forward to his Survivor Series for a while now, the card and build has been an enjoyable read. I'm also looking forward to Melvis' Extreme Rules & Wolfy/Legend's Summerslam's respectively.

I'm also hoping to see threads like 619DH's continue to grow and last through 2012, I don't review many threads much but I do enjoy reading them and 619DH's is one of my current favourites. Kintaro is another one who has a really enjoyable thread going at the moment and for those who haven't read any of his work should give it a read now, some good stuff there in my opinion and the thread has the potential to keep growing and growing.

I also hope to finally be able to stick to a thread, lost count how many I've went through but a project is in the works and I have a feeling all will go well with it. I hope.

Good luck to the bookers and lurkers of this section and have a great 2012.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Definitely excited for Melvis' Extreme Rules as he has led me to actually enjoy the WWE right now. He's the king for a reason. Also, looking forward to 619DH's World Ablaze. His created company has really been great and has the feel of a real company with its struggles and stuff. Looking forward to GCB's thread as well. He has made the Nexus angle enjoyable and has made a believer out of me in thinking Kofi Kingston as a main eventer.

Finally, I'll get back into booking and I've got an idea which I don't think I've seen around before so look out for it. Happy New Year everyone, cheers!

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I think my answer is the same that it was at the end of the year last year, I believe. I really want to see who will break out and continue to improve in 2012, so I think that's an open eye on the entire section. Big PPVs to look out for are defo iMac and his 'Mania should be an early year headliner that's definately on the list of must-reads, while Melvis' Extreme Rules is another big one. The big guy's SummerSlams are on that list too. As far as angles go, I highly doubt Legend's Haas/Benjamin fued will be resolved this year, but wanna see where that goes, as well as Melvis' Wade Barrett/Undertaker potential angle. Those are the first two that come to mind, but aren't the only ones obviously. Returns of some fellers would be awesome too (anyone know where Dubya's been?)

On a personal level, just wanna keep having fun with this. Don't think I've ever had as much fun booking as I have lately with AOW and just reading other people's work.

Oh, and Happy New Years to all you fellas and good luck in the year ahead

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I'm just hoping that by 2012, I'll be able to see myself in a few of those posts

But the main one is Melvis' Extreme Rules to me. Reading the guys stuff, he's a genius with promos. He can make a generic rivalry turn into an exciting one in one episode.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I'm really enjoying quite a few BTBs right now. I hate to highlight anyone because then you have to leave other people out, but I find Nige and Wolfy to be tremendous reads right now. Looking forward to seeing what they and others continue to come up with.
