Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Use a combination of onlineworldofwrestling and wikipedia. Onlineworldofwrestling will list everyone that was on the roster that year, and wiki will tell you when exactly they made their debut for those you don't know if they were on the roster at the time.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

onlinewordofwrestling is great except for a few errors that have thrown me off. There's one year they don't have Mysterio listed and not thinking I started working on potential feuds until I finally noticed.

Does anybody use some sort of program for their storylines (similar to things screenwriters use) or just write it on in a word doc?

I'm pretty sure a majority just use word.

I use word however if you want scriptwriting software try Celtx. It's a free program just type it into google.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Wow, so.. I'm going to stop my BTB early. I'm really liking where TNA is going IRL and I want to pick up at Bound for Glory. Sorry to anyone that might've actually read my first show.

Not removing until Finn Balor become NXT World Champion!

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I think this is the first time i've posted in this thread. Just a quick question, do you guys think itís necessary to have commentary for ppvs. I donít have commentary for my shows and i didnít include commentary for my first ppv as itís just too time consuming. I wasnít going to do a long write up for my first ppv show but once i started writing i started to enjoy this and ended up writing more. I donít think i will write as much for other ppvs now but as i have an Iron Man Match on the card i ended up writing a lot more.

I also wanted to know if a star ended up debuting a move 2-3 years later, am i allowed to debut it sooner, even if itís just for one night only?

Thanks.

I don't think it's asolutely neccesary, but it makes it increases the 'feel' of a PPV for most people, I would think. Half the job of writing a wrestling show is making the reader fell like they're watching it on their TV screens, visually engaging them, and commentary is a good way to do so if done right, anyway. And on a personal note, it makes it feel more 'professional', I guess.

But if you don't like it, no real reason to force yourself to do it.

Why just for one night? Why not let them continue and built it up? To answer the question though, there's nothing against it whatsoever. Debut who you want when you want, introduce what moves you want when you want. Just don't overstep the line of logic.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Thanks for the advice. I won't have commentary but the move i debut i will let the star continue using it and will build it up, thanks.
