Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Apart from Szumi's, have there actually been any good WCW threads?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I think it is bc it was so long ago and it is so hard to have everyone in character and such. Plus WCW's roster is so big and overwhelming.

I wonder if btb was around back in the late 90's/early 00's what kind of threads we would have had?

From what I've seen from one of his many blueprints, WCW Rules could wipe the floor with everybody with some of his booking plans for WCW.

I thuoght about this as well and it wouldbe interesting. I think we would have gotten tons of current day (attitude era) threads with probably some 80's which would be like now threads doing stuff from 2002-2004 which people still remember.

and I agree, when someone does a WCW thread these days it is usually a current day revival with a new roster and owner and using wrestlers that we can write for and are familiar with. Szumi is the only guy i've seen take the time as it was and use it (well). Then again it will be a lot harder now seeing as it was more than ten years, he started it in 2006 if I am not mistaken which made it five years after which is still pretty fresh in our minds. Most threads these days are from around five years ago or more (BKB's, Stoj's)

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Szumi did one about 2000 so indeed that was still fairly fresh. I've seen people do good ones about WCW 1993 and 1995 on another forum, but those were people that were watching back then as well so they have a good grasp of the characters.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I assume in about five years people will be talking about the Ruthless Agression Era as if it were a long time ago and barely anyone knows about it anymore.
