Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Most high flyers like Rey, Bourne, Morrison and the like for me. I am someone that enjoys writing more the submission and mat based matches, i'd even prefer hardcore matches over doing a match between two high flyers. I love to watch it but just hard for me to describe the sort of reversals and things they do in my own words in the thread so i don't really click with it. I try my best to pair a high flyer in my thread with someone in a match that I can do well with.

I'm horrible writing Rey Mysterio matches. Everything is so complex.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

i am currently writing a promo for ALberto Del Rio, what do you guys do when it comes to writing with superstars with accents. Like when del rio talks he butchers the language. Should i write like that or should i just write like i usually would, or would that make him out of character?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I hate writing tag matches and as Harlem said, hate writing with two high flyers. Trying to describe some of the counters and how they countered etc is just too much. Hard to describe the shizz that goes down.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

@OML - I think you should use slang or write somewhat the way he would talk but not to the extent that it is hard to understand. A bit can get the job done and keep him still in character.

I hate writing multi man matches. Anything over four people in the ring at the same time (Rumble, EC Chamber, MITB and things like that) that involve lots of moves and stuff happening at the same time are hard for me to write, i get so into two superstars reversing one another and going at it' that I forget to talk about the others and what they are doing in the mean time and it turns out weird.

I do as well. For me, the wrestling feels fresher and easier to write than it does in other matches, for obvious reasons.

Anita Pearl the one with the tongue ring....I researched it

Anyway a character I can't write for is The Undertaker...mainly a reason why I had him retire in my thread.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

It's because he always talks about the same shit. Bla bla, you will rest in peace. American Bad Ass Undertaker is fun to write for though, especially his heel version was awesome.
