Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Haven't been on here in like 2 weeks, so yeah, hi. Also, is Leeroy seriously running a tourney, or is this some kind of weird joke?

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Jon, I totally agree that feedback and reviews are very motivational for a booker, especially if it's someone just starting out. But if a mod's telling you to review a show that just isn't doing anything for you, then I don't see how that's fair in the slightest.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Hey welcome back Rated-R Champ! Anyway, I always feel like this review thing pops up. Review 4 review is always an option although plenty of people hate it for certain reasons. If you are a good booker people will take notice.
As for the tourney would love to see it, maybe it would get me active a bit.

You don't need to write feedback that reviews an entire show. If there are some glaring things a writer could and/or should change then mention those. Every bit helps, even small posts.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Review 4 Review is a horrible concept. I remember a time when some people were getting real pissy when people were not reviewing them after they reviewed a show of thiers. Horrible time was that.
As for Jon oaning about how active this section is, why? All the big names like John, Wolfy and Hulky are active enough and there are more than enough other threads with potential that are doing a good job.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
The section is actually pretty active, sure it could be more but it is an improvement to a few months back.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
Yeah, section has some good threads going. The issue is it has been a slow week, but it's because Wolfy is preparing a PPV, Legend just posted a SNME, Hulk posts when he feels like it, and iMac is preparing a PPV. When three of the top four threads are all writing PPV's, or allowing their readers time to digest PPV's, obviously things are going to be a little slow. I sure as hell don't think it's anything to really worry about.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
You worry when the summer is over and everybody is busy with school. Talk about not being active, that is when things really turn out bad.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I don't see why it shouldn't be active or reasonable all year round, I mean sure the Summer is more of an active time when lots of people sign up and make new threads but when the Summer is over there shouldn't be a reason for the activity to drop down because soon after is the Summer over in Australia and in the other parts of the world and there is quite a bit of activity from those areas.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread
I hate it when this whole review issue rears its ugly head. I've never understood why people feel that receiving a review is a God given right.
Receiving a review is a privilege. Not a right.
The thought of "forcing" or designating people to review someone else is a load of crap, quite frankly. BTB is for FUN. Not life and death stuff. If you're only writing a BTB to get reviews, stop writing it now. Personally, I only review BTB's if I enjoy the writer's work or if I can see they have potential.
