"You want to know what I think? I think that Steve Austin is an asshole, Vince McMahon is an asshole, and Barack Obama is a stupid son of a bitch. Fuck that stupid n****r Obama, fuck the goverment, and fuck the U-S-A."
Andy Leavine, WWE Summer Slam, August 15th, 2011

"Due to Mr.Leavine's awful, slanderous comment towards the president of these United States, I can inform you that his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment has been terminated, and he will never be spoken of on this show again."
Vince McMahon, WWE RAW, August 16th, 2011

"Wrestling was, and still is my passion. I'd of loved to wrestle for the rest of my life, but when Vince comes up to you and says "Andy, We need you. I have a cheque for $10 Million in my pocket, and it's yours if you do something for me." ... You f***ing do it."
Andy Leavine, POW Magazine, August 15th, 2021

"Rock, John Cena, Steve Austin, it wasn't enough. It wasn't drawing the numbers I wanted, but I knew, if I could start some controversy, enough to shake up the f***ing white house?I'd damn sure do it. What I asked him to do? Was it right? Hell no. But the next night on RAW? 19.1 rating. Near enough a fith of America watched that evening, and anyone wants to tell me I shouldn't of done it, they're stupid."
Triple H, POW Magazine, August 15th, 2021

"Had the entire world, wrestling or otherwise, tuning in to RAW the next night, desperate to see the outcome, and even though it ended that night with no storylines or matches, it lead to so many of those who just tuned in out of interest in the biggest event in the World right now, discover that they enjoyed pro wrestling. Damn, Paul's a clever b*****d.
John Cena, POW Magazine, August 15th, 2021

I knew it all along, they didn't cut his microphone. F***ing knew it. Ten years on, and the truth comes out? Or maybe I'm wrong, it's not the truth, and he's f***ing playing us again? Who knows? I mean, I was in the WWE at the time, and I still have no clue!
Steve Austin, POW Magazine, August 15th, 2021

Who'd of thunk it? The most controversial promo in the history of the WWE, wasn't cut by Steve Austin, The Rock, Vince McMahon or even CM Punk. It was cut by 2011 Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine, and it was all Triple H's idea. The WWE faced a hell of a lot of backlash, despite everyone in the World thinking it was a shoot. Leavine became one of the most hated men in America, but he claims, once the truth was revealed, that his family and two of his friends knew the truth, and the pay was well worth it. The Leavine controversy was the single greatest thing to happen in the WWE and wrestling as a whole, bringing in over 4.2 million new fans (credit: PWInsider survey) to Wrestling. With a whole new audience, how would the next ten years play out, with one of the most anticipated Wrestlemania matches of all time coming up, one can only begin to imagine the buy rates. So whilst patriots riot outside of WWE HQ, Triple H is rolling around in hundred dollar bills, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a new era, welcome to the most watched time in WWE history, welcome to WWE: The aftermath of the most controversial moment in the history of Wrestling.

What do you guys think of this for an opening post? Does it intereast you? Also, no offence to any black people on this forum, I highly doubt Andy is a racist, and neither am I.

I think it's a really intriguing story arc to kick things off with. It's gripping, it's a really out-of-the-blue plotline which would have a lot of potential; the main issue with it being your opening post is that you'd then be working with a roster TEN YEARS ON from where we are now, which would mean you'd be booking all sorts of stuff that would make zero sense to anybody here, with a whole bunch of guys we've never even heard of. If you brought your time frame closer to home, the storyline and the controversy could be quite good, tbh, but you'd be working in a very hazy environment time-wise. Liking the story, though. Very intriguing one.

Ha. Sorry, maybe I wasn't to clear, but they're talkiing about the event ten years on, the BTB doesn't actually take place then, it starts on January 2nd, 2012, about four months on. Sorry for the confusion

Ahhhhhh. In which case, you're rolling in the controversy at the time, instead. Fair enough, you'd have a reader in me.

How is this for a BTB Storyline?

Quote:
Sting takes out Undertaker in a backstage attack. Undertakers brother, Kane feuds with Sting to get revenge. Sting faces Kane in a casket match, Undertaker returns during the match and instead of attacking Sting, he goes after his own brother Kane. Sting and Taker align to take out Kane and put him in the casket. Sting reveals that after Sting attacked Taker months ago, Taker lost his memory and the only two people he knows now, is Sting and Kane, but he doesn't know Kane as a brother, he knows him as the person who took him out. Sting and Taker then form an alliance where Taker is pretty much Sting's body-guard. These two stay aligned all the way until Royal Rumble, where they are the last two men in the match, Sting orders Taker to leave but instead Taker eliminates Sting to win the match.

Sting manages to get back on the same page with Taker, Undertaker helps Sting win the world title at No Way Out, but then the lights go out, a video plays on the screen showing Sting attacking Taker a few months ago. The lights come back on and Taker looks angry, Sting tries to convince him but then out comes Kane, returning after losing a casket match! Kane and Taker double-choke-slam Sting. Taker says the world champ that he will face at WrestleMania will be Sting.
Sorry if its to complicated lol, it was rushed. Do any of you like it?

Doesn't make any sense and wouldn't be remotely interesting, if i'm honest. It seemed you just wanted Sting vs. Taker at Mania and you included Kane for the sake of it and not really thinking about it at all. Taker losing his memory? Lol.

Sorry if I seem brutal, it's just a horrible idea.

I'm with Flux here, it's not the best storyline in the world, If you want Sting to control Undertaker, I would rather you bring back and use the Urn than have Taker 'Lose his memory'

Sting vs. Undertaker is an overrated dream feud anyway. The reason why I found both characters to be so compelling was that they were so different compared to every other superstar and that's what made the feuds interesting. Put them together and I don't think you'd get the same effect. That's the best I can explain it to be honest, but at least I know what I mean.

And besides, I've always preferred Sting over The Undertaker so I'm naturally against Sting/Taker at Wrestlemania.

I always found Taker's character more entertaining but that might be a bit biased since i only started watching TNA a few years ago so i didn't see much of Sting.
