Either Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin (also no one make a feud between those two ever again), Mr. Kennedy or my pick, Christian.
You can thank me for starting that trend six years ago

Doesn't surprise me a bunch of shitty feuds were based on your original shitty feud.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Thanks for absolutely nothing yajobber. A correlary to the overpushing thing is the overturning thing. It seems that everyone turns Cena, HBK and HHH (unless they feud against each other) heel. Would be nice to see someone book Cena as a superman and make it not boring.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

^ Wolf Beast still books Cena as his boring, bland and predictable IRL self.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Hadn't seen someone push Kennedy in a while outside TNA lately.

Never got the deal behind heel Cena tbh :\. I find him a little fun to book as somewhat boring.

And Dubya, you're showing your age. Rated R Champ hasn't posted a show for the better part of a year and a half.

I agree with this. Haas and Benjamin is an overdone feud, but if done well, it can still work. Probably one of my favourite ongoing angles in Legends thread.

On a similiar trend of overdone angles etc, can anyone recall any Edge/Christian feud in BTB that worked? That has to be an angle I've seen pop up dozens of times over the years, and I dont remember a single one being decent.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Angle/Cena is really overdone imo (doesn't help that lots of BTBs are set in 05/06 when both of those guys were main eventers and therefore are somewhat bound to cross paths). There have been some good iterations of it such as Legend's and BkB's and of course Wolf Beast's (did Mac do an Angle/Cena feud? Hard to remember his thread), but it is still overdone.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

To be fair, anything set in the 2005/2006 period is (almost always) automatically redundant because it's been done so many times before. 2006 moreso than 2005.

I'd really love to see someone take on an entire "year" in wrestling terms, from WrestleMania X-Seven to WrestleMania X8. That's one period I've always considered going back to but never have. It'd be interesting to see how someone could book that entire year, 2001, as so much happened in it. Austin's heel turn, the Invasion angle, Angle's face turn, the return of Triple H, as well as a whole bunch of current WWE stars waiting to be called up to the main roster from OVW.

Edit: Dammit, just tempted myself.

This was the roster at the end of 2002. I couldn't imagine it'd be that much different in November of that year. Can't be bothered to research that part though. That's kinda your job.
