I'm not sure if it's just me, but the old thread has become an absolute pain in the ass to open due to it trying to take me ten or so pages ahead of the actual last page. So to make it easier, here's a new thread.

Old thread for those of you who wish to refer back: http://www.wrestlingforum.com/booker/510932-official-btb-discussion-thread.html

~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Use references like google or onlineworldofwrestling for answers to questions you could easily find yourself

Post away.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here but would like to just say hello to you all and ask some quick questions.

1. I have my own "Be The Booker" that I use TEW 2013 (The Adam Ryland simulator) to properly simulate and work with me. Is that something that is generally looked down upon on this board or is it okay to use? The reason I ask is I've read through some of the stuff here and nobody seems to use TEW at all for their stuff.

2. Are longer shows looked down on? Again, I ask this because most people have relatively short shows and mine tend to be a little longer. They aren't chapters and chapters but I can easily go to 25-30 lines per match and sometimes longer for a big angle or two.

Those are really my only questions. I'm looking forward at posting my own BTB here and adding to the community here.

1. As long as you don't directly copy and paste anything from the game in to your BTB, you're fine. You can use it for everything else, just write everything out in your own words and whatnot. You can use it to determine match grades, injuries, signings/firings etc.

2. The section is fairly quiet at the minute, but usually there are a lot of threads that have longer shows, they're certainly not looked down upon around these parts. If the booking and the writing is good quality, you'll get attention sooner or later. All I'd say is don't sacrifice quality just o make your shows longer.

Good luck .

There's usually one really amazing thread that gets people excited and then a bunch of them try to make a BTB and a few are good but those few good ones get more people excited and etcetera and etcetera. So all you need is a really exciting thread.

DDMac's thread is my personal BTB bible when I want to see how it's done in order to improve. The weird/great thing about it is I wasn't even a member of the forum when the thread was properly active. Must-read stuff for everybody looking to book, young or old, experienced or otherwise.

I'll stop fanboying now.

CHIKARA is one of those promotions I enjoy whenever I get the chance to see it, but I've never really made a particular effort to keep up to date with it, simply because I know very little of the characters and the history and I cannot be arsed to go back and do my research. However, I'd love to see a CHIKARA BTB, that would be great. Yeah, you're allowed to go back to a BTB you've done previously, but there still has to be 30 days in between the last post of your most recent thread and the next post of the next thread, if that makes sense?

Topic for discussion: Is OVERSTACKING a Wrestlemania card a particularly bad thing? I mean, as long as all of the matches get enough build up (with WWE having almost eight hours of television a week, it can't be too hard) and they warrant a spot on the Wrestlemania card, is there really such thing as overstacking it, especially if it's a big Wrestlemania? (10, 20, 25, 30 for example). How much is TOO much, in terms of the number of matches and the length of the show? etc. Could the same principles be applied to Summerslam, or is Wrestlemania in a league of it's own now?

Take the discussion any which way you want, just thought I'd throw a topic out there.
