Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

I think that Orton's punt to the head seems too devastating at the moment.

In your btb(s) have you ever had moves seem stronger or weaker than they appear in real wrestling? Eg. Have you ever had people kick out of the FU all the time or stay down for a 3 count after a Y2J lionsault?

I don't think Jericho's won a match solely on a Lionsault since at least 2000.

Perhaps not to the extreme of people kicking out of the FU "all the time", but it's definitely happened with certain wrestlers and certain moves.

PARANoIR, FTW.

Less comment making and more EPW writing please but at this point I'll take what I can get.

Same with me, I've had guys kick out of others big moves but you have to be selective about it so it seems special.

Like at Wrestlemania XV when Stone Cold needed two stunners to put away the Rock.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Perhaps the most effective use of that strategy is in Undertaker matches, where a guy kicks out of a tombstone. I'm still surprised when that happens, tbh.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Undertaker kicked out of 3 Pedigrees and a Tombstone this year, quite incredible really. I actually believed when Trips got the third Pedigree that he may actually win. Thankfully, he didn't.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Triple H beating Undertaker, t-bagging him and then grabbing a mic to declare that he was now in charge of WWE would have been pretty amazing tbh.
