I'm not sure if it's just me, but the old thread has become an absolute pain in the ass to open due to it trying to take me ten or so pages ahead of the actual last page. So to make it easier, here's a new thread.
~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Use references like google or onlineworldofwrestling for answers to questions you could easily find yourself
Eddy Gordo Vs. Kofi Kingston seems like a match made in heaven. Steve Fox Vs. William Regal would probably be cool to see, too. I think the match we all want to see, however, is Lars Alexandersson Vs. John Cena. Battle of the Supermen.
I'm pretty sure King is based off of Tiger Mask anyway.
Oh, and just to contribute...
Brock Lesnar vs. Craig Murdoch
Paul Heyman vs. Dr. Bosconovitch
Paul Phoenix vs. Shawn Michaels OR Dolph Ziggler, just to see how they would sell his moveset
Kurt Angle vs. P-Type Jack/Gun Jack/Jack 4/5/6 just so we can never hear the end of Angle breaking the FREAKIN' ankle of a robot

And while we're talking about transformative video game-to-wrestling personalities, there's quite a few guys in my thread that have been influenced heavily by game characters. My Kofi Kingston draws heavily from Bruce Irwin and quite a few members of the Worthy Legion (and the concept for the stable itself) draws inspiration from certain Dynasty Warriors characters.
Oh, and Chris Jericho vs. Marshall/Forrest Law. Just so I can hear verbal tic vs. verbal tic - "ASK HIM" must take on "WOO-TAH!!"
Now with it being Wrestlemania season and the WWE has their own Hall of Fame, I've been thinking, it's been three years since the last BTB Hall of Fame Ceremony.
Do you guys think there are deserving writers to be added into the HoF section? enough for a class this year and for it to be brought back? Would be nice to have one tbh.
I'd be in favour of at least testing the waters. There are certainly bookers worthy of an induction be it for writing skills or overall contribution to the section. Just because the section has never really recovered from that boom period many moons ago, it seems that in recent years (and I'm as much to blame for this as any other "vets") the more current crop of bookers have never gained the accolades some of them really do deserve.
I don't mind helping out with it, nominations, hosting, things like that. I have some spare time now. I also got some good ideas.
But I totally understand Wolfy if you want former Hall of Famers to do that.
Defiantly do agree that ever since the boom period a few years ago there have been bookers that have stuck around, even through the horrible 2011 phase where there were only like four bookers and constantly helped out with the section, trying to keep activity and deserve some sort of praise.
The only thing about doing the HOF is don't the previous members of the HOF get the final say on who goes in? Whoever runs it would have to have connections and get in contact with all those guys if it were to happen. That why a KOP or a Wolfy have been the ones to run it in the past. Is that still the case?
Out of topic, props to Kintaro who started a while back in his 2004 thread to use pictures from shows at the time to help readers visualize an set the scene... Now almost everyone does that, including myself. adds a nice touch.
I think it shows how low the bar has fallen in this place when people need pictures to back up their writing. No offence, but I mean come on, what's imagination for?
Having PPV match banners is one thing, having a picture for every single segment on the show is another. It turns the thread into a picture book IMO. Makes the thread seem much more amateur, as opposed to a piece of work that could be appreciated. That's just my opinion. Like I said before I didn't mean any offence I'm just being honest,
I guess this is where you get the difference between a good booker and a good writer. There are some people here whose booking is good and storylines are fine, but they aren't necessarily good writers. They don't use language or characterisation to draw me in. You wonder why certain threads don't get credit, this could be the reason. If a newbie posted a new thread tomorrow but had the writing capability of a Szumi or a Legend or a WCW Rules, it'd be noticeable and I'd read their work.
Nah, was only doing that thread because I couldn't be bothered writing full shows. Opened up a document yesterday for my WWE 2004 thread, and pretty much polished off the whole show. All of a sudden, I have motivation again...
Man, writers block like crazy just way too many factors going in to not producing any content recently. Spring Break, keeping my grades up, not having my laptop around, and writers block all basically at the same time.
