Re: Why Is The BTB Like This

Mot of what you said went in one ear and out the other. But you sound like the kind of guy who could benefit from sort of partnered BTB thread. Join up with some other dude, brainstorm ideas and he can do the majority of the writing (only if that's what they want though).

What I Want This Year
Cody Rhodes to win a World Title
Dolph Ziggler to win a World Title
A real feud over the WWE Tag Titles
Most importantly, good stories and great wrestling.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Hey, just a quick question from me. I'm currently in my planning stages, like planning out my PPV cards etc and i've came across a little problem. I've researched a little bit and found a few examples in other BTBs, but how many matches would be a fine amount in a b-tier PPV such as Backlash or Judgement day for example, and how many in an A-tier PPV such as Summerslam or Wrestlemania. I've seen examples of 10-12 matches for Summerslam, yet there's only 8 in real life of whatever.

Thanks in advanced

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

On regular PPVs, people normally have 7/8 matches. On big events like WM, the amount normally ranges from 10-12.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

A lot of it depends on match length also. Some writers don't actually post times for their matches and some do. However, the point is if you have an Elimination Chamber or a huge battle royal or an Iron Man match on the card and have 6 matches instead of 7, it makes sense, where as if you have Khali vs Kane as your main event and have 6 matches, you'll get knocked for having too short of a show.

Re: The Official BTB Discussion Thread

Regular PPV's should have atleast 6 matches (thats if ones an Elimination Chamber, HIAC, Iron Man etc) and max 8.

Royal Rumble should have 4 or 5 undercard matches plus the Rumble itself

Summerslam & Survivor Series shoudn't exceed 10 matches.

Wrestlemania should have atleast 10 and max 13.

Depends on the talent, depends on the length of matches, and depends on the overall flow of the card.

Honestly there's no strict formula that you have to stick to as long as you get your matches in within the allotted time. The more creative and original can be, the better.

Just because the WWE churns out the same old predictable crap every PPV doesn't mean you have to. Take a look at the way other companies run their cards.

Just because you're doing a WWE thread, doesn't mean you have to conform to their monotonous formula.
